- 1:48Speaker 1: pushing your vision forward.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Quantum computing something that's been getting live attention lately. Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 3: you know, they said, a quantum computers. These things actually
- 1:57Speaker 3: can solve in minutes what a regular computer takes one
- 2:00Speaker 3: million years to solve. It's not really at full capacity yet,
- 2:04Speaker 3: they said, over the next five years, maybe ten years,
- 2:07Speaker 3: it'll be like but you have to keep it in
- 2:09Speaker 3: the coldest conditions known to human and their complex computers.
- 2:16Speaker 3: They pose a great risk security because they can crack codes,
- 2:20Speaker 3: they could do they could they could do pretty much anything.
- 2:23Speaker 3: So a lot of people think that's going to be
- 2:26Speaker 3: a risk to cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin, because Bitcoin it's not
- 2:35Speaker 3: like they have like a working in governance that's actually
- 2:37Speaker 3: updating cybersecurity on nobody even you know. It's a little
- 2:41Speaker 3: harder than like say ethereyum more centralized coin where they
- 2:44Speaker 3: can you know, adapt with the times a little quicker.
- 2:48Speaker 3: So how will this affect bigcoin and cryptocurrency.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Short term or long term? No, short term is not
- 2:55Speaker 2: gonna have an effect.
- 2:55Speaker 3: For long term, I.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Think I first mentioned quantum on the show maybe three
- 3:02Speaker 4: years ago, two and a half years ago. The next
- 3:04Speaker 4: biggest space. It's gonna be really interesting, though. What I
- 3:08Speaker 4: will say about that Google quantum chip. I scoured the
- 3:12Speaker 4: internet high and low looking after I looked at Travis's
- 3:17Speaker 4: drama that he had going on, and the thing that
- 3:20Speaker 4: I didn't see was a demo. So, if you have
- 3:24Speaker 4: this amazing chip and I'm seeing more videos about cooking
- 3:28Speaker 4: wakaya than you of this, this demo to the quantum,
- 3:33Speaker 4: I don't believe you. We need more people y'all missed
- 3:36Speaker 4: out on the AI race the first time. I'm not
- 3:38Speaker 4: saying that Google does not have the chip. I will
- 3:40Speaker 4: have loved to see the demo though, now, how will
- 3:42Speaker 4: affect pitcoin. I think at some point there may be
- 3:45Speaker 4: some attacks, but I think they're also whoever runs the
- 3:48Speaker 4: quantum space will end up providing cybersecurity for them. So
- 3:54Speaker 4: if I have the ability to break into your safe,
- 3:57Speaker 4: why not hire me a security for your safe to
- 3:59Speaker 4: help you kind of keep some of these things encryptis so,
- 4:02Speaker 4: but I do think the sector is going to have
- 4:04Speaker 4: a tremendous impact on crypto as a whole, the economy
- 4:08Speaker 4: as a whole. It's gonna be the next space. It's
- 4:09Speaker 4: gonna be as how as AI was the last two years.
- 4:13Speaker 4: But I don't I'm not sold on Google having the
- 4:15Speaker 4: solution yet.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And I know.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Everybody's asking about qubs and the small companies. I'm telling
- 4:20Speaker 4: you a small company is not going to take the
- 4:23Speaker 4: lead over in this race. Is probably one of the
- 4:25Speaker 4: most important innovations of like the last eighty years.
- 4:28Speaker 2: So yeah, I'm with you on that.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I think short term, the quantum computers they're just not
- 4:36Speaker 1: powerful enough to interrupt bitcoin.
- 4:39Speaker 2: It's interesting, I was with you.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I didn't see a demo, so when we talked about
- 4:44Speaker 1: we're talking about Willow and that that's the computer, And
- 4:46Speaker 1: so I did like, now I got to do the
- 4:49Speaker 1: research on it. So now I'm trying to figure out,
- 4:51Speaker 1: like how does this thing work? And so the work
- 4:52Speaker 1: qubits come up, So like if you're doing research on
- 4:54Speaker 1: quantum computing, you're gonna hear cute bits, and it just
- 4:57Speaker 1: means a quantum bit. So if all y'all like that
- 5:00Speaker 1: grew up playing video games, you remember when it was
- 5:02Speaker 1: like sixteen.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Bit, thirty two bit, sixty four bit.
- 5:05Speaker 1: That was just the measure of information that can be taken,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and so a cubit is that it's the measure of
- 5:11Speaker 1: information that can be taken inside a quantum computing WILLO
- 5:14Speaker 1: right now is at one hundred and five super conducting cubits,
- 5:19Speaker 1: So one hundred and five that's where it's at presently.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Currently.
- 5:22Speaker 1: The problem with quantum computing, and if you read every
- 5:25Speaker 1: physicist and every expert, is the error tests.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Right. It can do things.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Very fast, but there's an accurate the reliability of it
- 5:34Speaker 1: is so far off right now in present day, in
- 5:37Speaker 1: order for it to have satisfactory errorrates, it needs about
- 5:42Speaker 1: fifteen hundred cubits. So right now WILLO is at one
- 5:44Speaker 1: oh five to have satisfactory.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Errorrates, and it needs fifteen hundred.
- 5:49Speaker 1: For it to have large perform large fault tolerant calculations,
- 5:53Speaker 1: it needs between one hundred thousand to one million cubits.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So when we talk about where are we at in
- 5:59Speaker 1: quantum computing.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Was it a breakthrough?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Is that one oh five To have a large model,
- 6:05Speaker 1: we need about one hundred thousand to a million.
- 6:08Speaker 2: So we're kind of out of that. Like I said,
- 6:12Speaker 2: as far as Bitcoin.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Not powerful enough yet when it becomes right, because bitcoin
- 6:16Speaker 1: isn't going anywhere, quantum computer isn't going anywhere.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Bitcoin, if you understand proof of stake, proof.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Of work, it has the ability to change in terms
- 6:26Speaker 1: of forking, and so, like again doing the researchhowing it,
- 6:30Speaker 1: they're already trying to figure out how they can have
- 6:32Speaker 1: like cryptographic algorithms are resistant to quantum computing, and so
- 6:39Speaker 1: these technologies are working at the same time.
- 6:41Speaker 2: They know the issue that it's ahead of it.
- 6:43Speaker 1: They are already people trying to figure out what is
- 6:45Speaker 1: the soft fork that can help be resistance to it,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and so that happened, like by the time we figured
- 6:51Speaker 1: it out, they've been working on it for probably three years,
- 6:52Speaker 1: already knowing that this is this is the the case
- 6:56Speaker 1: going forward for quantum computing and the road that it'll
- 6:59Speaker 1: collabe with bitcoin, because like you said, security and reliability're
- 7:02Speaker 1: gonna be the two things that be at the forefront
- 7:03Speaker 1: of it.
- 7:05Speaker 4: It's kind of like when an artists back in the
- 7:06Speaker 4: day said I had a fire album and it's like, well,
- 7:08Speaker 4: let me hear something.
- 7:09Speaker 2: It's like, give me nine more months. It's like.
- 7:13Speaker 4: If it was there, they would have had demo day immediately.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Ten seconds snipt of the album.
- 7:18Speaker 3: No.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I mean most people say that it's not ready yet,
- 7:22Speaker 2: but it will be.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Sure.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Google Google China put more money in than than anybody else.
- 7:30Speaker 3: And I even saw a study there was like the scientists,
- 7:35Speaker 3: like the graduation, the graduate classes for like these type
- 7:39Speaker 3: of the average in America is four students per class
- 7:43Speaker 3: and China is twenty five students. So they they are
- 7:49Speaker 3: pumping billion dollars into America's too, but they're they're putting
- 7:53Speaker 3: even more resources, talent, human resources into quantum computing and
- 8:01Speaker 3: their patients. So when it does happen, they're definitely working
- 8:07Speaker 3: hard towards fine tuning it and being the leaders in it.
- 8:13Speaker 2: And that's the point. It's like quantumpules not going anywhere,
- 8:17Speaker 2: And if.
- 8:17Speaker 1: We look at it like we looked at AI, then yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 1: there'll be companies leaning it, but infrastructure will still be needed. Right,
- 8:25Speaker 1: So if you're looking like how do we what's the play?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Like you said, there's people that will put up like
- 8:29Speaker 1: these other quantum computing.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Stocks, look for the comportary.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Look for infrastructure, right because they need to be held somewhere.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Cooling is very important to it. Who are the companies
- 8:39Speaker 2: that are creating those things?
- 8:42Speaker 1: Power and energy are going to be important like this
- 8:44Speaker 1: that the power is ridiculous, Like when you're talking about
- 8:47Speaker 1: how fast this works, they said that Willow's complex calculation
- 8:51Speaker 1: can create a solve something in five minutes, which would
- 8:55Speaker 1: normally take a classic supercomputer around ten sets tillion years
- 9:00Speaker 1: to complete.
- 9:02Speaker 2: That sounds good with no demo, that's ridiculous.
- 9:05Speaker 1: So think about the power that's going to take to
- 9:07Speaker 1: do that, Think about the infrastructure that needs to be
- 9:09Speaker 1: house to do that. Those are the areas that I
- 9:11Speaker 1: would be looking at if we're talking about five ten
- 9:13Speaker 1: years when it comes to quantum computing.
- 9:15Speaker 5: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 9:18Speaker 5: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from al Salvador
- 9:22Speaker 5: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 9:27Speaker 5: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 9:31Speaker 5: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 9:34Speaker 5: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 9:38Speaker 5: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 9:43Speaker 5: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 9:46Speaker 5: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 9:50Speaker 5: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 9:54Speaker 5: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 9:58Speaker 5: never return. But if you reach using our CBP home
- 10:01Speaker 5: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 10:10Speaker 5: border and families will be protected.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
