- 1:02Speaker 3: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. What a treat this is.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Back from Montauk, daddy of the century, blue-eyed, former model
- 1:11Speaker 5: turned comedian, husband of the year, my comedy life partner,
- 1:16Speaker 5: Chris Frangelo. Welcome to the new home studio office. Thank
- 1:19Speaker 5: you for coming out.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I love it. Thank you so much for having me
- 1:22Speaker 4: in this gorgeous studio. You did it. I mean, you
- 1:26Speaker 4: finally did it. This is everything you've ever wanted. There's gates.
- 1:32Speaker 4: There's everything. There's lakes. There's gates. It's in some sort
- 1:35Speaker 4: of mountain enclave that you wouldn't even know was here.
- 1:38Speaker 5: I'm so glad you love it.
- 1:41Speaker 4: It looks like, you know, when they used to film
- 1:44Speaker 4: Desperate Housewives on Universal Studios. You feel like you're on
- 1:49Speaker 4: that set of like– What was it? Wisteria Lane.
- 1:53Speaker 3: It does.
- 1:54Speaker 5: And that's what I thought when I first came in here.
- 1:55Speaker 5: I was like, is this real? This looks like a utopia.
- 1:58Speaker 5: It's been here for, you know, like 30 plus years.
- 2:04Speaker 3: But all the houses are different.
- 2:05Speaker 5: So it doesn't have like a, what do you call it?
- 2:08Speaker 3: Track home feel.
- 2:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 4: No, it looks nice.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I just, I love it.
- 2:11Speaker 5: It's just like every day I wake up and, you know,
- 2:14Speaker 5: just sometimes, regardless when you've been in a place for
- 2:17Speaker 5: so long, which.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I was on my house, in my house for so long.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:20Speaker 3: For 19 years. And I'd lived there.
- 2:23Speaker 4: That block your whole life. And I lived next.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Door for 19 years.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 3: You know, basically.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 5: When I was growing up with just like a 10
- 2:31Speaker 5: year break in between of like apartments in Brentwood. And so, yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 5: I just, it's great to have like a fresh place.
- 2:37Speaker 5: kind of vibe and different places to go.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Do you feel a pressure here? Because you got to
- 2:43Speaker 4: keep up the yard and stuff. In my world, we
- 2:47Speaker 4: call it the Schlegels because every neighborhood has one. I
- 2:50Speaker 4: don't think this neighborhood does, but most neighborhoods have a
- 2:53Speaker 4: Schlegels and you know what I'm talking about. The Christmas
- 2:56Speaker 4: lights are up in July. There's a workout bench on
- 2:58Speaker 4: the front lawn. There's The indoor furniture is outdoor. You know,
- 3:04Speaker 4: like it's a couch. What's the difference? Put it out
- 3:06Speaker 4: on the front lawn and sit in it. I don't
- 3:10Speaker 4: think you could do that here, but you can in
- 3:12Speaker 4: most places.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Because, you know, in.
- 3:15Speaker 5: L.A., you know, there was always a risk that, you know,
- 3:19Speaker 5: a house that was nice that, you know, an older
- 3:22Speaker 5: lady lived.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Then her degenerate weird. 55-year-old son.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Hoarder son.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Hoarder lives there and then you're screwed.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Like you're screwed. You can't do anything about it.
- 3:32Speaker 3: There's nothing you can do.
- 3:33Speaker 5: And so I do like being in a gated community
- 3:36Speaker 5: for that reason.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 3:38Speaker 3: But yeah, we might be the Schlegels or whatever.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys might be the Schlegels.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Because we are doing some yard work at our backyards.
- 3:45Speaker 5: But it was like that when we bought it. But
- 3:48Speaker 5: so no, there's still some stuff to be done. But
- 3:51Speaker 5: so far, no, everybody's super nice and chill. It's not
- 3:53Speaker 5: what you would think. It's not a snobby anything.
- 3:56Speaker 4: You got to be concerned. This is one of those
- 3:57Speaker 4: areas where you got the amount of Christmas blow ups.
- 4:01Speaker 4: You know what I mean? Like, can you even do
- 4:02Speaker 4: a blow up on the front lawn here?
- 4:04Speaker 3: I would not.
- 4:05Speaker 4: You can't do 20. They would frown upon that.
- 4:07Speaker 5: This is the kind of place where the company comes
- 4:10Speaker 5: and like, we'll do it for you.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, but okay, that's good.
- 4:14Speaker 5: So like if I really wanted to have like a
- 4:16Speaker 5: Christmas party, I thought about it and there's no way
- 4:19Speaker 5: I would, Peter's probably not going to allow it, but
- 4:21Speaker 5: I do have Drake and Peter. So if I want
- 4:24Speaker 5: Christmas decorations, they can get up on the roof and
- 4:26Speaker 5: do it.
- 4:26Speaker 4: You can't put a, you can't put a blow up
- 4:28Speaker 4: Charlie Brown on the front.
- 4:30Speaker 3: No blow up Charlie Brown.
- 4:32Speaker 4: It's gotta be like white lights.
- 4:33Speaker 5: All right. Maybe, maybe one of like a restoration hardware,
- 4:37Speaker 5: like deer that's slightly like not moving, but just like
- 4:40Speaker 5: lit up.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Right.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:42Speaker 4: All right. Well, congratulations.
- 4:44Speaker 5: I'm going to invite you right now. I'm sure you're
- 4:46Speaker 5: going to have other Halloween plans, but if you don't,
- 4:49Speaker 5: this is a fun place for trick-or-treating.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Oh, that would be great.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Where they give out like, you know, shots and margaritas
- 4:57Speaker 5: and you can actually go and like party while your
- 4:59Speaker 5: kid parties.
- 5:00Speaker 3: And then you get on a golf cart and you
- 5:02Speaker 3: go to another.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yeah. Enough with the bragging.
- 5:04Speaker 4: I bet it's really nice.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I'm just saying, I've worked hard, just whatever. I'm happy.
- 5:08Speaker 5: I'm living the life that someone lives in middle America.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Do you ever say to yourself, which I do sometimes too,
- 5:16Speaker 4: because we're doing okay as well, but do you ever
- 5:19Speaker 4: say to yourself, all this from this dumb podcast? Like
- 5:23Speaker 4: in the end, it's not exactly, you know, you're like, oh, really?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Really?
- 5:27Speaker 4: I mean, congratulations, but good for you.
- 5:29Speaker 5: I think that's why hundreds and hundreds of people every
- 5:32Speaker 5: day start one.
- 5:33Speaker 3: And I say go for it too.
- 5:34Speaker 4: That's it.
- 5:36Speaker 5: It is a certain type of person that excels and
- 5:39Speaker 5: it's being consistent, but it's also just a unique talent
- 5:42Speaker 5: that you just don't run out of stuff to talk about,
- 5:44Speaker 5: you know, and a.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Lot of people just get burnt out.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Right.
- 5:47Speaker 3: But let's get into someone that is kept talking.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Can I just say one more thing? Yes. And then
- 5:52Speaker 4: we'll move on to topics. But thank you for calling
- 5:54Speaker 4: me a father of the year. I just dropped my
- 5:56Speaker 4: daughter off.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yes.
- 5:58Speaker 4: And she's at a camp.
- 6:00Speaker 6: Great.
- 6:00Speaker 4: At her school. And it's dress up. I thought today
- 6:04Speaker 4: was dress up day. They were supposed to dress up
- 6:07Speaker 4: as private investigators, like, because they're looking for clues for
- 6:11Speaker 4: something to have a party on Friday. Somebody stole the
- 6:14Speaker 4: ice cream.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Someone shows up with Epstein didn't kill himself t-shirt.
- 6:19Speaker 4: They got to find, they got to investigate.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Okay. I love it.
- 6:25Speaker 4: So I had to dress her up like a private
- 6:26Speaker 4: investigator or, you know, like a, whatever, a detective.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:31Speaker 4: So I went to Target yesterday and I bought like
- 6:34Speaker 4: a white button-up shirt, a black tie and a black sunglet.
- 6:37Speaker 4: I don't know, detective. I looked it up and it
- 6:39Speaker 4: gave me like men in black look.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Right, but it's a five-year-old detective. Okay, go on.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Yeah. But I also put her in shorts because it's
- 6:45Speaker 4: hot out.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I put her in black wool pants. Yeah. So, I mean,
- 6:50Speaker 4: she kind of looked a little bit like the guy
- 6:51Speaker 4: from ACDC, just playing shorts on top. Or like a
- 6:56Speaker 4: Mormon missionary.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Anyway, we get there and she's already apprehensive to put
- 7:02Speaker 4: it on.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Okay.
- 7:03Speaker 4: She's a little weird about putting on a costume. She's like,
- 7:05Speaker 4: is everyone going to be dressed up? I'm like, everyone's
- 7:07Speaker 4: dressing up. Okay.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I kind of like that, that she's like, enough with this.
- 7:11Speaker 4: And so we get there and it's tomorrow and she's
- 7:14Speaker 4: the only one dressed like a detective. So she gets
- 7:18Speaker 4: out dressed like Angus Young from ACDC. I was like, oh, no.
- 7:23Speaker 4: But anyway, the counsels were so nice that they were like, oh,
- 7:27Speaker 4: you're the great little detective. And she seemed– she had
- 7:30Speaker 4: a badge on. I was going all out.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I think that's great.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 7:35Speaker 4: So not exactly fun.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Now she knows what she's going to wear tomorrow. And
- 7:38Speaker 3: I think she's young enough to like not care. But
- 7:40Speaker 3: if she was like 12, she'd want to kill you.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Oh, she'd want to kill me. Yeah.
- 7:44Speaker 5: When I was a little girl– At five years old,
- 7:48Speaker 5: I was like so desperate to get any attention from
- 7:50Speaker 5: my mom, you know, because she was busy with the others.
- 7:53Speaker 5: That one day she was like making eggs or something
- 7:55Speaker 5: and I go, oh, we're saving those.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I need to bring in those eggshells for an art project.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I just made it up.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Whoa.
- 8:02Speaker 5: So then she was constantly like, okay, I've saved all
- 8:04Speaker 5: your eggs, you know. And so then I go to
- 8:06Speaker 5: the school and I take, and then I have the eggshells.
- 8:08Speaker 5: And she's like, I hope you, you know, like she
- 8:10Speaker 5: felt good about herself. And I threw the eggs away
- 8:13Speaker 5: because I just made up this weird thing. So then
- 8:15Speaker 5: later that day, something happened where I accidentally threw something
- 8:20Speaker 5: else away or something.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 5: And so my mom goes to school and they're like
- 8:26Speaker 5: going through the trash. And she's like, why are my,
- 8:29Speaker 5: the cracked eggs here? Like you said, you had an
- 8:31Speaker 5: art project.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 3: And the teacher was like, What? Like, who is this kid?
- 8:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Then on top of it, my brother had a boa
- 8:40Speaker 5: constrictor snake.
- 8:41Speaker 3: He had several snakes.
- 8:42Speaker 4: That all makes sense.
- 8:43Speaker 3: And my mom would say, well, they were, he was
- 8:46Speaker 3: a competitor. They were really big into swimming.
- 8:48Speaker 5: So my mom would say, if you get under this
- 8:51Speaker 5: amount of time in the 400 IM or whatever, you
- 8:54Speaker 5: could have a snake. So now he had several snakes
- 8:58Speaker 5: and like once a week that he would sell tickets
- 9:00Speaker 5: to the kids in the neighborhood to watch. My mom
- 9:03Speaker 5: would go buy a little white mouse and we'd watch
- 9:05Speaker 5: the thing eat the mouse.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 9:07Speaker 3: And then you just see it in the snake, like
- 9:08Speaker 3: its body.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 3: And so then.
- 9:11Speaker 5: They're like, oh, who wants to do show and tell?
- 9:13Speaker 5: And I'm like, oh, I'll bring my brother with a snake.
- 9:16Speaker 5: And so my brother puts this giant snake around a
- 9:20Speaker 5: five-year-old's neck. Everyone's just watching it. Other kids are trying
- 9:23Speaker 5: it out. And then this woman was like, uh, that
- 9:26Speaker 5: snake could like strangle these kids.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Your brother wasn't like a professional snake wrangler. He wasn't
- 9:33Speaker 4: that guy. What's his name? Bindi's dad. Erwin, Steve Erwin.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Oh my God. That's amazing.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Finally, my mom's like, I can't take it. So she
- 9:44Speaker 3: like acted like it got escaped.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:47Speaker 5: And she like let it out far into the backyard
- 9:51Speaker 5: through the gate of someone, whatever. And like two weeks later,
- 9:55Speaker 5: it showed up in the sliding glass door. You know,
- 9:57Speaker 5: the old sliding glass door.
- 9:59Speaker 4: The snake came back?
- 9:59Speaker 3: The snake came back.
- 10:02Speaker 4: I've never heard that. Oh, you're dogs and cats. You
- 10:04Speaker 4: hear those stories.
- 10:05Speaker 3: No, the snake came back.
- 10:07Speaker 5: Wow.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Childhood stories. Okay. Listen, Candace Owen.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Yes. I know the story well.
- 10:14Speaker 3: She is being.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Sued by the president of France and his wife. She,
- 10:20Speaker 5: we talked about this, she went hardcore, did a whole
- 10:23Speaker 5: YouTube series about all the evidence leading to why she
- 10:28Speaker 5: believes that the much older wife of the president of France,
- 10:33Speaker 5: already it was a crazy story.
- 10:35Speaker 3: She was his teacher when she was.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Yeah, she was his teacher when they were, when he
- 10:39Speaker 5: was 14 and she was 36 or something. She was
- 10:42Speaker 5: married with three kids. He went off to high college,
- 10:46Speaker 5: came back, and then they fell in love, allegedly. before
- 10:51Speaker 5: nothing happened prior. And so she's like 70 and he's
- 10:54Speaker 5: like 48. But according to Candace Owen, she believes that he,
- 10:59Speaker 5: that she, the wife actually was born male. I have
- 11:03Speaker 5: not watched the series. I don't know how she explains
- 11:05Speaker 5: how this woman gave birth, the whole thing.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Do they have children?
- 11:09Speaker 5: But she also in the theory said, this woman had
- 11:14Speaker 5: children with her first.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 5: She was probably too old to have children with him
- 11:18Speaker 5: when they got married. So it was like, I don't know,
- 11:21Speaker 5: it's the whole thing. But what I gathered was that
- 11:24Speaker 5: she also, the other explosive stuff, is that she was
- 11:29Speaker 5: not only born a man, but she is the president's father.
- 11:33Speaker 3: What? Somehow, when she was a man.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Allegedly, according to Kennesaw, she somehow, you know, in pregnancy,
- 11:44Speaker 5: somebody gave birth, whatever, became a woman, had.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Adopted kids, I don't know. And then got with her
- 11:53Speaker 5: biological son, who's the president of France.
- 11:56Speaker 4: But she's his father. Yes.
- 11:59Speaker 3: It's like out of Star Wars.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Yeah, this is like, wait, this is the plot of
- 12:02Speaker 4: The Empire Strikes Back.
- 12:05Speaker 5: Anyway, a lot of people, you know, there's a lot
- 12:08Speaker 5: of things on the internet that will show her walking
- 12:11Speaker 5: and it looks like there's something in her pocket.
- 12:13Speaker 4: And then, of course, the slap in the plane brought
- 12:15Speaker 4: a lot of attention to them.
- 12:16Speaker 5: The slap in the plane. Again, a father gets mad
- 12:19Speaker 5: at their son.
- 12:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Anyway, they are not having it and they are suing her,
- 12:27Speaker 5: which is a big deal because it's like kind of
- 12:29Speaker 5: the first time, like a... It's not the first time
- 12:32Speaker 5: because there was that other content creator that I think
- 12:36Speaker 5: Cardi B sued and prevailed because she said, you know,
- 12:41Speaker 5: negative things about her that weren't true.
- 12:42Speaker 4: There's been a few people who sued for it. You know?
- 12:44Speaker 3: So....
- 12:48Speaker 5: I saw Candace is addressing it. She already has, you know, 1.8
- 12:51Speaker 5: million views talking about what she's going to do.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I don't know. I think someone like her, I think
- 12:59Speaker 3: she's probably like not scared at all.
- 13:01Speaker 4: She just lawyers up and I guess just fights it.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:06Speaker 5: But I mean, I would think. The fact that they
- 13:09Speaker 5: are suing makes me, because once you're suing, then everything
- 13:14Speaker 5: will come out.
- 13:16Speaker 3: So now I'm like, yeah, I.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Never believed it to start, but now I really don't.
- 13:20Speaker 4: What I've heard was there was always seemingly a cover
- 13:23Speaker 4: up by the French government because they would ask, for
- 13:26Speaker 4: let's see her paperwork, you know, whatever birth certificate, and
- 13:29Speaker 4: they were like, no, you don't need to see it.
- 13:30Speaker 4: That's what I've heard. I don't know that much about
- 13:33Speaker 4: French politics, but.
- 13:33Speaker 5: I mean, definitely just the fact that, you know, she
- 13:36Speaker 5: was his teacher and they knew each other and, you know,
- 13:38Speaker 5: and they've been together for 20 years and, you know,
- 13:41Speaker 5: he was 24 and she was like 48 when they.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Met is unusual.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:45Speaker 5: And, you know, but then, you know, France is, the
- 13:49Speaker 5: age of consent is younger than 18. Yeah.
- 13:52Speaker 4: And, you know, so.
- 13:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 13:57Speaker 4: It is kind of like, I would, it would almost
- 13:59Speaker 4: be like one of those things, just ignore it. Like,
- 14:01Speaker 4: but they, I guess they've decided to, cause now you're right.
- 14:04Speaker 4: It just gives a lot more attention to their relationship.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Unless it's not true.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Like I know, but if someone tried to say Heather McDonald,
- 14:13Speaker 5: which a lot of people do, you know, you look
- 14:15Speaker 5: like a.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Man, why are you tall? You're so ugly, whatever. If
- 14:18Speaker 3: someone tried to say to.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Me, that I never gave birth to Brandon and Drake,
- 14:24Speaker 5: that I actually was a man and I got these
- 14:27Speaker 5: kids like through a sex trafficked ring where I got
- 14:30Speaker 5: these two kids, one just looks exactly like me, whatever.
- 14:35Speaker 3: And it went on and on.
- 14:36Speaker 5: And this person was exploding with it and making millions
- 14:40Speaker 5: and millions and millions of dollars talking about something that
- 14:43Speaker 5: I know is not true.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Like I know I was born a girl, like I
- 14:47Speaker 3: know it. Then why wouldn't you just go.
- 14:49Speaker 4: No, I'm suing you. But it also is now going
- 14:53Speaker 4: to bring a lot of attention to an odd relationship,
- 14:58Speaker 4: just age-wise and things like that, which.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Is, I guess- But I mean, an age gap happens
- 15:03Speaker 5: a lot with the other way around. And I always
- 15:06Speaker 5: think when there is that age gap and you've been
- 15:09Speaker 5: together for 10, 20 years, it's like, okay, this isn't
- 15:13Speaker 5: a gold digger situation.
- 15:16Speaker 3: It's a father-son situation.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 3: And they're meant to be together. And he pissed off
- 15:22Speaker 3: his dad. Now, I don't know.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:25Speaker 3: It's strange.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I mean, he was probably trying to talk her down,
- 15:28Speaker 4: you know, like, I don't know if we need to
- 15:30Speaker 4: do this. Don't get your dick in a knot, you.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Know.
- 15:34Speaker 5: I just remember the weirdest thing. You know, Will Forte?
- 15:38Speaker 5: Will Forte's on SNL. He's last man on earth. Like,
- 15:41Speaker 5: he's so funny and clever. So we were at the
- 15:45Speaker 5: Growling Sunday show together. And he just had this like
- 15:49Speaker 5: very out of the box comedy going on.
- 15:51Speaker 3: So now this is like 1997. And he goes, hey.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Would you, calls me up, he's like, would you wear
- 15:57Speaker 5: a bikini on stage?
- 15:59Speaker 3: And I was like, okay, why? What's the sketch?
- 16:03Speaker 5: I'm so desperate to be in anything, you know, as
- 16:04Speaker 5: many sketches you could be in. And he wrote this
- 16:07Speaker 5: sketch where like two boys are like hanging out and
- 16:11Speaker 5: I come in and I'm wearing like normal clothes and
- 16:14Speaker 5: they're like, the guy's like, who's that?
- 16:16Speaker 3: And he goes, that's my dad. But I'm just like
- 16:19Speaker 3: a girl. This is like 30 years ago. And then
- 16:21Speaker 3: I come out and I'm like in a bikini and
- 16:23Speaker 3: they're like, your dad's hot. And he's like, don't talk
- 16:25Speaker 3: about my dad.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Like it was a weird, we put this on state
- 16:28Speaker 5: and it was just like, it wasn't even about, it
- 16:31Speaker 5: was like, I was like, what's the joke of this?
- 16:33Speaker 5: Do they really think that I'm like a trans person
- 16:35Speaker 5: or was it just his bizarre mind?
- 16:38Speaker 4: It's just weird.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I just thought how weird that is.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Now it's just like Brody Jenner's wedding. Yeah. Which I
- 16:43Speaker 4: just have. I know you have a picture. Let me
- 16:45Speaker 4: talk about it.
- 16:47Speaker 5: So Brody Jenner, who is the most gorgeous man on
- 16:50Speaker 5: earth and has the most beautiful wife, prettiest dress, and
- 16:54Speaker 5: they have like a little two-year-old girl.
- 16:56Speaker 3: And she's a professional surfer. And she like surfs with
- 16:58Speaker 3: the baby like on a surfboard.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. It's like crazy.
- 17:01Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 17:02Speaker 5: And so there's a People magazine covered it and his mom,
- 17:06Speaker 5: Linda Thompson, was there and so was Caitlyn. And Caitlyn
- 17:10Speaker 5: wore a white like T-length dress, you know, mid-calf, sandals
- 17:15Speaker 5: and a brown belt. And the picture went, you know,
- 17:20Speaker 5: got on people. And I didn't even– I forgot. And
- 17:24Speaker 5: people are like, you're not supposed to wear white to
- 17:26Speaker 5: a wedding.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:28Speaker 5: Unless you're told it's a white and black wedding or
- 17:30Speaker 5: wear all white, everyone's wearing white, which is a rare thing,
- 17:33Speaker 5: but sometimes that happens. But I mean, I just don't
- 17:37Speaker 5: think it even occurred to her at all.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Why would she know? Because, you know, it's not like she.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Was raised knowing you don't want to upstage the bride.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Yeah. Right. Of course. I mean, it looks great on her.
- 17:53Speaker 4: You know, we have to say that, right?
- 17:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 3: I always thought it was what was interesting.
- 18:01Speaker 5: And, you know, I'm friendly with Caitlyn and I felt
- 18:04Speaker 5: very bad.
- 18:04Speaker 4: When was the last time you've seen Caitlyn?
- 18:06Speaker 5: I saw Caitlyn a year and a half ago. And
- 18:08Speaker 5: I haven't talked about this on the main show, but
- 18:09Speaker 5: this part is really sad. So her partner who was
- 18:13Speaker 5: the manager, it was never romantic, died.
- 18:15Speaker 4: I know.
- 18:16Speaker 3: And so she was very sad. Very sad.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Only 24 years old.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Just 29.
- 18:20Speaker 4: 29.
- 18:21Speaker 3: And it was just.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Wasn't she on this podcast?
- 18:23Speaker 3: She was on the podcast. They belong here. Yeah. at
- 18:26Speaker 3: the club and we, we, we had plans to hang out.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:30Speaker 3: So I was very, very upset about it. It was
- 18:32Speaker 3: just a weird freak accident. She was, you know, on
- 18:35Speaker 3: the ATV and went in front of this, you know,
- 18:38Speaker 3: I maybe got impatient, tried to go what I understand,
- 18:41Speaker 3: tried to pass a car and it clipped her bumper.
- 18:46Speaker 3: And then she went down a huge light cliff. There
- 18:49Speaker 3: was no, so it was very, very, very sad. But, um,
- 18:54Speaker 3: What was I saying? Oh, so that's how that, yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 5: So, I mean, but I'm just saying like, I don't,
- 18:58Speaker 5: I think sometimes that you just don't hear about it.
- 19:00Speaker 5: And I think the day arrived, but I always remember,
- 19:03Speaker 5: and I asked Caitlin this too, or maybe I asked
- 19:06Speaker 5: Sophia when they were on the show, Brody Jenner was
- 19:08Speaker 5: engaged and I think had a marriage that wasn't legal,
- 19:12Speaker 5: but like whatever in Tahiti or something to another.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Girl named Caitlin.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Oh yeah. I think I remember.
- 19:18Speaker 5: And they were together for like five years. And then,
- 19:22Speaker 5: you know, Caitlyn chose her name, Caitlyn. And I remember
- 19:26Speaker 5: I said, did you ever think about the fact that
- 19:28Speaker 5: if Brody married Caitlyn, that there'd be.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Two Caitlyn Jenners? And she was like, no. She's like, oh,
- 19:36Speaker 3: I never thought of that.
- 19:37Speaker 5: So I'm just like, I just don't think she's thinking about,
- 19:40Speaker 5: I think she opened her closet that day and was like, oh,
- 19:42Speaker 5: it's a hot day. This is a nice dress. I'm
- 19:44Speaker 5: comfortable in it. And you're not supposed to wear you know,
- 19:47Speaker 5: white to the wedding.
- 19:48Speaker 3: But, you know, I had someone wear white to my
- 19:50Speaker 3: wedding and I didn't even notice it until like my
- 19:53Speaker 3: manager's wife said something the next day.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Who was it?
- 19:57Speaker 3: Tracy Ross.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 19:58Speaker 3: Tracy Ellis Ross.
- 19:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 3: But it was like a blazer. It was like a blouse.
- 20:03Speaker 3: It was like a dress with like a blazer. And
- 20:05Speaker 3: maybe the blazer was white. I don't know. It didn't.
- 20:08Speaker 3: It didn't bother me. I think like unless you're wearing
- 20:10Speaker 3: like a wedding dress.
- 20:11Speaker 4: I mean, that's still a rule or is this one
- 20:12Speaker 4: of those ones that's a little looser now?
- 20:13Speaker 3: Well, a lot of people are like, it's not really
- 20:14Speaker 3: a rule and who cares?
- 20:15Speaker 5: I wore red to a wedding and someone was writing
- 20:20Speaker 5: mean stuff under me saying you're not supposed to wear
- 20:22Speaker 5: red to a wedding. Red to a wedding means that
- 20:24Speaker 5: you've slept with a groom. What?
- 20:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:26Speaker 4: I never heard that. I've heard it just like for
- 20:28Speaker 4: picture wise, it might throw it off, you know?
- 20:31Speaker 3: Red?
- 20:31Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Well, now I'll never wear it again after that. But
- 20:34Speaker 3: it was like a, it was a red, it was
- 20:36Speaker 3: a black tie wedding in Vegas. And I was like,
- 20:40Speaker 3: this is my best dress. I'm just going to wear this.
- 20:42Speaker 3: But yes. So I think, I think unless you're wearing
- 20:45Speaker 3: a bridal dress.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Right.
- 20:49Speaker 3: A similar, like a long satin white dress that looks
- 20:52Speaker 3: like you could be the bride.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Then I think that's an asshole move. But I'm going
- 20:55Speaker 5: to forgive.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Her for this. I'm glad it was a nice day
- 20:58Speaker 4: for them.
- 21:00Speaker 3: This Apple, the Apple Air Apple. The heir to the
- 21:03Speaker 3: Apple money, Eve Jobs.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:06Speaker 3: God, she's having a big wedding.
- 21:08Speaker 5: Is Steve Jobs the one who was married to the
- 21:10Speaker 5: McKinsey girl? Who are the three rich people?
- 21:12Speaker 3: Bill Gates was married.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Okay, there's Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.
- 21:15Speaker 3: So is Steve Jobs still married to his wife?
- 21:17Speaker 4: He's dead. Steve Jobs is dead.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Oh, sorry.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Yeah, he died a long time ago. Yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 6: Every used car has a story. Some sellers tell you everything.
- 21:29Speaker 6: Some leave out the spicy chapters. Before you buy, check
- 21:34Speaker 6: the car's history with Cartel.ie. Uncover the bits that might
- 21:38Speaker 6: be missing from the story, from mileage history and previous
- 21:41Speaker 6: damage to outstanding finance. Because the wrong car can cost
- 21:45Speaker 6: a lot more than the check.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Cartel.ie.
- 21:49Speaker 6: Don't buy the story.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Check it.
- 21:56Speaker 7: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 21:59Speaker 7: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 22:03Speaker 7: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 22:07Speaker 7: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 22:15Speaker 3: filed against me.
- 22:16Speaker 4: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 22:18Speaker 4: what would you do if it was given back?
- 22:21Speaker 7: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 22:24Speaker 7: you had to succeed in order.
- 22:25Speaker 4: To feel loved? He said, I have a work dad.
- 22:27Speaker 7: I need a home dad.
- 22:28Speaker 4: What happens next? When I came in, he started crying.
- 22:31Speaker 7: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 22:35Speaker 7: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 22:38Speaker 7: happens next.
- 22:39Speaker 4: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 22:42Speaker 4: every day was. You're worth the work.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches. You can
- 22:46Speaker 3: use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 22:48Speaker 7: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 22:51Speaker 7: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 23:02Speaker 4: Um, okay.
- 23:03Speaker 3: This is the craziest story.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Oh, I know it. It happened on Long Island. My people,
- 23:07Speaker 4: these are my people.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Why don't you explain the story then?
- 23:10Speaker 4: Okay. Uh, this man went through an MRI, which I
- 23:14Speaker 4: guess is one of those things where you go inside
- 23:16Speaker 4: and it checks your full scans, your body.
- 23:19Speaker 3: So it's not a lay down thing.
- 23:20Speaker 4: It is a lay down. I believe it is. Okay.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Cause I read this like four times. I don't understand.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Okay.
- 23:26Speaker 3: So it's a lay down thing.
- 23:27Speaker 4: It's a lay down thing in your body goes through
- 23:28Speaker 4: and it scans it for different, uh, ailments or whatever.
- 23:32Speaker 4: And this man, it said it was a 25-pound necklace.
- 23:37Speaker 4: And it got stuck in the mechanism of this MRI
- 23:41Speaker 4: machine and sucked him in and apparently choked him to death.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Okay, this is what I don't understand about the story.
- 23:47Speaker 4: And he died.
- 23:48Speaker 3: So he went in there because his wife had a
- 23:51Speaker 3: knee issue.
- 23:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:53Speaker 3: And she was being checked up with the MRI.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Right.
- 23:55Speaker 5: And then he walks in and then his whole body
- 23:57Speaker 5: gets sucked in because of the necklace.
- 23:59Speaker 3: I don't understand this.
- 24:00Speaker 4: I think he was leaning over the machine or something,
- 24:02Speaker 4: looking at it. That's what I gathered. It's hard to, yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 3: And nobody said like, hey.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Careful with that 25 pound necklace.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I mean, it's just such a bizarre story.
- 24:15Speaker 5: I know.
- 24:16Speaker 4: It is a bizarre.
- 24:16Speaker 5: I mean, I'm just like imagining. Like the way it
- 24:19Speaker 5: said you sucked in. I'm like, wait, was he?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Because I'm like, first I thought he's getting the MRI. Well,
- 24:24Speaker 3: clearly you take off everything.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Right.
- 24:27Speaker 3: But no, he was just helping.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Probably there was a lock on the necklace too I
- 24:31Speaker 4: had read. And the lock got stuck in the thing
- 24:34Speaker 4: that wheeled you in.
- 24:37Speaker 3: So it's like a diamond gold, like a big like
- 24:39Speaker 3: wrapper necklace.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Right, right, right. They said it was 25 pounds. That's
- 24:43Speaker 4: a lot. It's a big necklace.
- 24:45Speaker 3: What if that would like affect your neck?
- 24:47Speaker 4: Well, I think it is.
- 24:52Speaker 5: J-Lo.
- 24:54Speaker 3: What do you think is going on with J-Lo?
- 24:56Speaker 4: Why not? Just go live your life. She looks great.
- 24:59Speaker 4: I mean, she's out there talking.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:01Speaker 4: I read this story. She was, you know, getting very
- 25:03Speaker 4: sexual on stage saying, you know, she likes it rough.
- 25:06Speaker 4: She likes it hard. Yeah, likes it hard. Likes it
- 25:08Speaker 4: in the summertime.
- 25:09Speaker 5: I still feel she's just been doing, I still feel
- 25:11Speaker 5: she's in love with with Ben Affleck and is so pissed.
- 25:14Speaker 5: And I think she has every right to be pissed.
- 25:16Speaker 5: He came after her the second time around. He wooed her,
- 25:20Speaker 5: loved her, you know, agreed to the big fancy wedding.
- 25:23Speaker 5: He already knew what he was getting.
- 25:25Speaker 4: I'm kind of glad that she, at this point, is like,
- 25:28Speaker 4: I'm done. We've done five weddings or four, whatever it is.
- 25:32Speaker 4: And I'm done with marriage. I'm done with weddings.
- 25:34Speaker 3: How do we know she's done with marriage?
- 25:36Speaker 4: I think she said it publicly that she's finished with marriage.
- 25:40Speaker 4: At this point, 55 already has the kids with Mark Anthony.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Doesn't need that anymore.
- 25:45Speaker 3: No, she doesn't want any more kids.
- 25:46Speaker 4: At this point, like, what am I doing? Just enjoy
- 25:49Speaker 4: your life.
- 25:50Speaker 3: The body is ridiculous. Yeah. The body is so good.
- 25:53Speaker 3: The abs are so good.
- 25:54Speaker 5: So I saw Megyn Kelly ripping on her and she's like,
- 26:00Speaker 5: you know, Tina Turner was sexy at her age and
- 26:02Speaker 5: she would wear a dress and show off her legs,
- 26:05Speaker 5: but that would be it.
- 26:07Speaker 3: And I'm like, you know what, Megyn? I think you're
- 26:10Speaker 3: jealous of the abs.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 3: First of all, her best asset is her abs and
- 26:15Speaker 3: her ass.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 26:16Speaker 3: And maybe Tina's was her like, who cares?
- 26:19Speaker 4: Right.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Who cares? Like, let her wear what she wants. But
- 26:23Speaker 3: the singing that I've seen is a little.
- 26:26Speaker 4: What? Have you ever been like... I honestly, we all know,
- 26:29Speaker 4: like J-Lo had hits.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:31Speaker 4: But it's certainly nothing that You know, they're not like
- 26:33Speaker 4: classic songs that you'd listen to 30 years later. You
- 26:37Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 26:38Speaker 3: When they come on, I still like them. Not what
- 26:40Speaker 3: you say, not what you go. That song, like, you know.
- 26:42Speaker 4: I remember you had a couple with.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Jenny from the Block.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Jenny from the Block.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:46Speaker 4: And yeah, she had a couple with, you know, what
- 26:50Speaker 4: was the guy who did the, the rapper guy who
- 26:53Speaker 4: did the festival where they ripped everyone off and gave
- 26:56Speaker 4: them cheese sandwiches.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Fire Festival.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Yeah. The guy who was in charge of that, he
- 27:01Speaker 4: had some songs with her.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Oh.
- 27:03Speaker 4: He was the headliner.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Oh, yes.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yeah. It'll come to me. Yes. But anyway. Yeah, anyway.
- 27:08Speaker 4: You get what I'm saying.
- 27:09Speaker 3: People are highlighting like her, you know, doing her best singing.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Some of the notes sound.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Ja Rule. Ja Rule. Thank you. It came to me.
- 27:16Speaker 4: I knew it would come to me. Ja Rule.
- 27:18Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Ja Rule is always at like a charity event.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Yeah. And he was, he did a couple songs with her.
- 27:23Speaker 4: They were good.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I mean, you know, who cares?
- 27:27Speaker 4: Okay. I mean, but like the acting at this point,
- 27:29Speaker 4: I think is kind of like, she can't be, I
- 27:31Speaker 4: don't think she could do like, legitimate like roles anymore
- 27:35Speaker 4: now she just got to do romantic comedies from here
- 27:37Speaker 4: on out i don't think anyone's gonna buy her in
- 27:39Speaker 4: like serious.
- 27:40Speaker 5: Roles well she was in a movie called shotgun wedding
- 27:43Speaker 5: and i'm like shotgun wedding and i did not see
- 27:46Speaker 5: it so don't get mad at me but shotgun wedding
- 27:48Speaker 5: means you had to get married because you're pregnant right
- 27:51Speaker 5: i'm like just when the movie came out even.
- 27:54Speaker 4: If she filmed it i believe this is the movie
- 27:56Speaker 4: that the one kid was supposed to the the uh
- 27:59Speaker 4: no i can't here's another name i can't remember uh
- 28:03Speaker 4: The one who was cannibalizing, or at least in text.
- 28:06Speaker 5: Oh, yes.
- 28:07Speaker 3: He was supposed to be it.
- 28:08Speaker 4: He was supposed to be the star. Oh, my God.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Armie Hammer. Armie Hammer. And then they got.
- 28:12Speaker 5: Talk about like nobody cares about that.
- 28:15Speaker 4: I know. He's back to like.
- 28:17Speaker 3: That was another one that just.
- 28:18Speaker 5: There were those certain stories that just went crazy for
- 28:22Speaker 5: a much longer time because we were in COVID. Yeah.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Yeah. That was one of them.
- 28:27Speaker 3: And that was one of them.
- 28:28Speaker 7: Uh-huh.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Also, the whole Tiger King obsession. If that was not,
- 28:32Speaker 5: if that did not.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Hit the moment it did, would we have really cared
- 28:36Speaker 3: that much?
- 28:37Speaker 4: No, absolutely not. We were all into that. Yeah, that
- 28:39Speaker 4: was a, it's such a weird time looking back on it.
- 28:41Speaker 3: It brought us together.
- 28:42Speaker 4: It did. Yeah, Tiger King was wonderful.
- 28:44Speaker 3: And I was doing the weird lady.
- 28:45Speaker 4: We all had fun with the Tiger King.
- 28:46Speaker 3: And I had my cat at the time. I spent,
- 28:48Speaker 3: I did like the videos and I rode the bike
- 28:50Speaker 3: around and like the hair. I don't even know where
- 28:53Speaker 3: they are.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I don't even care. Tiger King's in prison.
- 28:56Speaker 3: He got divorced from his couple.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:59Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 29:00Speaker 5: This talent agency is alleged to have stolen millions from
- 29:03Speaker 5: his clients.
- 29:04Speaker 3: This is kind of juicy.
- 29:05Speaker 5: This guy, Mark Measures, is the owner and president of
- 29:08Speaker 5: KMR Talent Agency.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Can I tell you? It's my agency.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I was like.
- 29:14Speaker 4: I'm with KMR. I was. They're gone now. They're defunct.
- 29:18Speaker 3: No, he said they're not defunct.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Well, he's trying to bring it back. But they are.
- 29:21Speaker 4: They've been.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Do you remember him?
- 29:23Speaker 4: Yes. Biggest scumbag in the world.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Wait. So tell me your story.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I never dealt with him because I
- 29:30Speaker 4: was with the comedy portion. So I dealt with my
- 29:32Speaker 4: agent still to this day, Stu. But yeah, he was
- 29:36Speaker 4: stealing money. They're kind of a big Broadway agency. They
- 29:39Speaker 4: have a lot of Broadway. actors and stuff. So, yeah,
- 29:42Speaker 4: but he was apparently taking money from a lot of people,
- 29:45Speaker 4: like millions. And they would, like, call up, like, where's
- 29:48Speaker 4: my check?
- 29:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 29:50Speaker 4: And finally it started to really– I mean, this guy
- 29:52Speaker 4: was real.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Everything you think about when you think of like Hollywood agents,
- 29:58Speaker 4: just a stereotype, he was that guy.
- 30:00Speaker 5: This says he has been accused of stealing over $ 1. 8
- 30:04Speaker 5: million from clients and employees in New York, Broadway, yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 5: between June 21 and March 24. Authorities allege that the
- 30:12Speaker 5: funds were taken from a client escrow account and used
- 30:14Speaker 5: for personal expenses, operating costs, and luxury purchases. Measures was
- 30:19Speaker 5: indicated on 40 accounts and so, you know, prosecutors recommending
- 30:24Speaker 5: a four to 12 year prison sentence.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Yeah. And, and the agency itself was disbarred, you know, from,
- 30:30Speaker 4: from being an agency by whatever the agency who oversees
- 30:33Speaker 4: these things.
- 30:34Speaker 5: And so when he goes to prison, you know, and
- 30:38Speaker 5: they put like little prison plays together, you know, I
- 30:41Speaker 5: hope he gets to cast it.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Yeah. The one thing I remember is I, I think
- 30:46Speaker 4: I actually only had to go to the agency like twice,
- 30:48Speaker 4: you know, the actual building. Um, And they used to
- 30:52Speaker 4: tell this guy would call you beforehand and tell you
- 30:55Speaker 4: not to wear any colognes or perfumes because someone was
- 31:00Speaker 4: deathly allergic in the office, which I always thought was
- 31:04Speaker 4: a weird phone call to get. I got that.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I remember getting that too. Yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 5: And about like, or like a casting director or whatever.
- 31:10Speaker 5: And I'm like, all right, I'm just never going to
- 31:11Speaker 5: wear like any.
- 31:12Speaker 4: Perfume at all. Yeah. So that was it. Anyway, there
- 31:15Speaker 4: you go.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Well, yeah, because it's like an escrow.
- 31:18Speaker 5: So I always think it's weird when it's like, and
- 31:21Speaker 5: they take it for their own luxury.
- 31:23Speaker 4: Right.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Like, oh, okay. Like you just think your client's going
- 31:26Speaker 3: to get another like Broadway hit.
- 31:28Speaker 7: I know.
- 31:29Speaker 3: And also like. I always wonder how much money the
- 31:31Speaker 3: Broadway people make.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Well, that's like what's a weird thing because they don't
- 31:34Speaker 4: make a ton. So he was taking like small sums
- 31:37Speaker 4: from lots of people. That's what I had read at least.
- 31:41Speaker 4: And I remember my initial meeting– Just when you.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Thought Hollywood was like not on its way of dying enough.
- 31:45Speaker 4: I remember my initial meeting with this guy was like
- 31:47Speaker 4: after like my career was on a– it was going
- 31:52Speaker 4: south in a hurry after Chelsea lately. Nothing was happening.
- 31:55Speaker 4: It was bad. So I finally got a call from
- 31:57Speaker 4: an agency. I'm like, oh my God, how did they
- 31:59Speaker 4: find me?
- 31:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 32:00Speaker 4: And I went in to meet him. It was like
- 32:01Speaker 4: somewhere in North Hollywood, you know. Even the address was
- 32:04Speaker 4: like not great. And I went up to meet him.
- 32:06Speaker 4: And he gave me the whole bullshit that they give you,
- 32:08Speaker 4: you know. Like, you could be the next. I'm like, oh,
- 32:11Speaker 4: cut it out. Like, I've already been through this shit already.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Can we not? You know, can we just sign the
- 32:17Speaker 4: deal and move on? Like, I don't need all the
- 32:19Speaker 4: people I could be. Here's what we're going to do
- 32:21Speaker 4: with you, you know.
- 32:22Speaker 5: I had an agent saying, I think you could be
- 32:25Speaker 5: the next Ellen DeGeneres.
- 32:28Speaker 4: I had a woman tell me one time. She goes,
- 32:33Speaker 4: you could be... You're the next Brian Austin Green. Look
- 32:36Speaker 4: at you. You're the next Brian Austin Green. I'm like, what?
- 32:40Speaker 4: Of all the people? Brian Austin Green? Can't we aim
- 32:43Speaker 4: higher than that?
- 32:45Speaker 5: Okay, so somebody said in the comments or whatever was like,
- 32:49Speaker 5: this was just showed up and I feel like you
- 32:52Speaker 5: and Chris, this could happen to you. So I sent
- 32:53Speaker 5: it to you. And it's this YouTube video of... how
- 32:59Speaker 5: to buy like a VHS tape on how to properly model.
- 33:03Speaker 5: So they wanted you to like buy a tape and
- 33:05Speaker 5: it is so ridiculous.
- 33:07Speaker 3: The girl, they're like, let's do a modeling face. First, A, I, O, U.
- 33:15Speaker 4: I mean, of course you remember all this stuff, right?
- 33:19Speaker 4: Like these different things.
- 33:20Speaker 5: And then it's just like these people are like, this
- 33:21Speaker 5: is how you look like a natural fitness model.
- 33:23Speaker 3: And then it was like, act like you're walking.
- 33:25Speaker 5: Like there was all these tips on like how... There
- 33:28Speaker 5: was something, what was it like from our era?
- 33:31Speaker 4: Barbizon.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Everybody wanted to be a model.
- 33:34Speaker 4: When I was growing up, there was a commercial that
- 33:36Speaker 4: would air constantly, Barbizon School of Modeling. And I remember
- 33:40Speaker 4: the catch line, their catchphrase used to be, whether you
- 33:43Speaker 4: want to be a model or just look like one.
- 33:46Speaker 3: That's a good catchphrase.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Barbizon School of Modeling. And people, I mean, they must
- 33:50Speaker 4: have been, people must have been going because this commercial
- 33:52Speaker 4: aired for years.
- 33:53Speaker 5: I will tell you where the Neiman Marcus is right
- 33:56Speaker 5: now at the Topanga Mall.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Okay.
- 33:59Speaker 5: That bottom, like the bottom part of it was the
- 34:01Speaker 5: John Roberts modeling school that my mom paid for Shannon
- 34:05Speaker 5: and I to go to. And, you know, some old
- 34:09Speaker 5: lady that has no business like trying to do it.
- 34:12Speaker 5: So they want to like get you in the school
- 34:14Speaker 5: like a Scientologist.
- 34:15Speaker 3: So like the first one is just like how to
- 34:18Speaker 3: do accessories.
- 34:19Speaker 5: You never put gold and silver together, which still sticks
- 34:22Speaker 5: in my mind, which you can do today, whatever. white
- 34:25Speaker 5: shoes after no white shoes after labor day.
- 34:28Speaker 4: So she just told caitlin caitlin should have went there
- 34:31Speaker 4: caitlin had no idea oh no i didn't know.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Yeah caitlin was definitely not going to the modeling class
- 34:38Speaker 5: so and then it was like you know etiquette and
- 34:41Speaker 5: you know later but one of the things was getting.
- 34:44Speaker 3: In and out of a car oh my god and
- 34:47Speaker 3: so if you're in the car.
- 34:49Speaker 5: It's like You're supposed to swing your legs around, then
- 34:53Speaker 5: get up. You're never supposed to do one leg.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:55Speaker 3: And I always remember when all those girls got caught
- 34:58Speaker 3: with their crotch. I'm like, well, they didn't go to
- 35:01Speaker 3: the genre.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Probably because they were already making money and working with
- 35:05Speaker 5: a legit thing. And then like this one rich, richer girl,
- 35:09Speaker 5: she went the whole way, which includes getting the modeling photos.
- 35:13Speaker 5: So then she had like the black and white photos
- 35:16Speaker 5: where then you bring them the long strips where you choose. And,
- 35:21Speaker 5: you know, and I remember thinking, you're.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Like 5'4 and kind of fat.
- 35:24Speaker 4: You're either a model.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:25Speaker 6: You're not.
- 35:26Speaker 3: And back then.
- 35:26Speaker 4: Genetically, you have to be a certain look.
- 35:28Speaker 3: They only wanted a certain type. But she liked her hair.
- 35:30Speaker 3: It was like. And I was just so jealous, but.
- 35:33Speaker 5: To do that, it was so expensive that my mom
- 35:36Speaker 5: was like, no, we're not doing the headshot thing.
- 35:40Speaker 3: And I was like, but how will anybody, how will
- 35:42Speaker 3: anyone find?
- 35:43Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 35:43Speaker 5: But on that one day I did, I did go
- 35:47Speaker 5: and did a go-see all over LA.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Right.
- 35:50Speaker 5: And because my cousin was a legit model and at
- 35:53Speaker 5: our family reunion, she goes, just take some regular photos.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Like go to the one hour photo and then just
- 36:00Speaker 5: go on a Monday and go to all these places
- 36:03Speaker 5: and just see if someone wants to represent you. And
- 36:06Speaker 5: so I went and a lot of them just turned
- 36:09Speaker 5: me on the spot. Two said, let's, okay, let me
- 36:12Speaker 5: see you walk. But no, nobody, nobody wanted me.
- 36:17Speaker 4: You should do it now. I mean, you go through
- 36:18Speaker 4: Target and it's just everyone's, the models have like impetigo
- 36:21Speaker 4: on their face and stuff.
- 36:25Speaker 5: I know there was a time when you had to
- 36:27Speaker 5: like have bone structure and like have and look good
- 36:31Speaker 5: and you couldn't go and buy filler to give yourself
- 36:34Speaker 5: a jaw yeah or cheekbones or teeth or whatever so
- 36:38Speaker 5: it's like that's why pamela anderson was so special right
- 36:41Speaker 5: because there was no one else that could even try
- 36:43Speaker 5: to look like her you know anyway okay moving on um.
- 36:48Speaker 4: By the way, that video you sent me, Denise Richards
- 36:51Speaker 4: is in it a lot. Oh, yeah.
- 36:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:53Speaker 4: And the funny thing was, I remember like in the
- 36:55Speaker 4: days of Blockbuster Video, I remember seeing that video in
- 36:59Speaker 4: Blockbuster Video. Denise Richards had a model or whatever, VHS tape.
- 37:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:03Speaker 3: She's the one who's telling about it.
- 37:05Speaker 5: And also Tiffany Ambrose and Mario Lopez made a little appearance.
- 37:12Speaker 4: They're both in it too, talking about their modeling days.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Okay. Now, Chris has been gone a long time because
- 37:17Speaker 3: you were in Montauk.
- 37:18Speaker 4: Right.
- 37:19Speaker 3: And how was it in general?
- 37:21Speaker 4: It's fun. You know, I love it out there. I
- 37:24Speaker 4: might have aged out a little bit just on weekends,
- 37:26Speaker 4: like on a Friday and Saturday, we'd go to like
- 37:29Speaker 4: places and wow.
- 37:30Speaker 5: Do you feel like the whole influencer world of 20s
- 37:36Speaker 5: and early 30s have just made these places, whether it's
- 37:40Speaker 5: Mykonos or Italy or- It's.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Kind of a thing. It's almost shocking.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Because everybody sees it and they all just want those photos.
- 37:50Speaker 4: I don't see it here so much as I do
- 37:53Speaker 4: like when I go to a place like the Hamptons
- 37:54Speaker 4: or Montauk where I'm not kidding. It's almost like a joke.
- 37:58Speaker 4: You're driving down the street and there are people everywhere.
- 38:01Speaker 4: They're doing like a dance number. They got a camera
- 38:04Speaker 4: on the car and the car's going slow and they're
- 38:06Speaker 4: like walking back. I mean, it's like everyone's choreographing a scene.
- 38:10Speaker 4: My brother, who does nothing about this world, he's like,
- 38:12Speaker 4: what the fuck is happening here? I'm like, this is
- 38:14Speaker 4: all influencer people doing their videos. Everywhere. The whole city
- 38:19Speaker 4: of Montauk was like, only on like Friday and Saturday.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Regular days, you know, Wednesday, it's nice. But on a
- 38:25Speaker 4: Friday or Saturday, it's just crazy. Like with influencers or
- 38:28Speaker 4: whatever they're considered. I don't know.
- 38:30Speaker 3: And are there any street guys there?
- 38:32Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, as far... I don't know. I'm in
- 38:34Speaker 4: bed at 10 o'clock. You know what I mean? So
- 38:36Speaker 4: I'm not the best guy to ask, but I have
- 38:38Speaker 4: a six-year-old.
- 38:39Speaker 5: I think that I came across another video of a
- 38:45Speaker 5: bride surprising her groom, since we're talking about weddings, with
- 38:50Speaker 5: a dance, a solo dance.
- 38:52Speaker 7: Uh-huh.
- 38:53Speaker 3: And... I said it to like every single one of
- 38:56Speaker 3: my sorority sisters that I'm friends with.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Because I was like, this is just, do you imagine
- 39:01Speaker 5: if what, if I invited you guys to be bridesmaids
- 39:06Speaker 5: and I was like, and we are also going to
- 39:07Speaker 5: do a full routine. We have to meet, you know, practice. Like,
- 39:12Speaker 5: I understand it's because for the views.
- 39:14Speaker 3: But like. Does anybody want that?
- 39:17Speaker 5: No.
- 39:18Speaker 4: Absolutely not.
- 39:20Speaker 3: This is why millennials don't own homes.
- 39:24Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 39:25Speaker 5: It's like, what are you talking about? You have to
- 39:26Speaker 5: go on like four bachelorette parties. You have to rent
- 39:30Speaker 5: a whole house in Scottsdale. You have to get all
- 39:33Speaker 5: the accessories and.
- 39:34Speaker 3: The cowboy hats and all this. That costs thousands of dollars.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Then you've got to hire a choreographer and get together
- 39:41Speaker 5: and take dance lessons.
- 39:43Speaker 3: And I mean, I'm just like, this is ridiculous.
- 39:46Speaker 5: Like my bachelorette party was We went to Shannon's house,
- 39:50Speaker 5: stayed there for free. Two girls got in a drunken fight.
- 39:54Speaker 3: One slut got lost. We all talked about it on
- 39:57Speaker 3: the way home. Perfect. And that's the end of it.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it.
- 40:00Speaker 3: The whole weekend probably cost $ 56 each person. Went to
- 40:04Speaker 3: one dinner and, you know, got in and some drinks
- 40:07Speaker 3: were bought for us. That's it. Like, what is happening?
- 40:11Speaker 3: This is so stupid. And it's so, and also I'm
- 40:15Speaker 3: always thinking like, Why.
- 40:17Speaker 5: Why, how awkward for a groom and everybody to have
- 40:20Speaker 5: like his wife, like do a, like a lap dance
- 40:23Speaker 5: for him.
- 40:23Speaker 4: I know.
- 40:23Speaker 5: Like the grandparents are there and she's like grinding on
- 40:27Speaker 5: him and everyone's like, just when you think it's over,
- 40:29Speaker 5: then another song starts and they're like.
- 40:31Speaker 3: I'm like, God, everyone just wants to have a drink
- 40:35Speaker 3: and like talk. Like I hate anything.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Are they still doing that? I feel like that's, is it,
- 40:40Speaker 4: is it going away a little bit? I hope. Cause
- 40:42Speaker 4: a couple of years ago you were seeing a ton
- 40:44Speaker 4: of them. Yes.
- 40:46Speaker 3: Oh, I just saw this other guy walk down the aisle.
- 40:49Speaker 3: It was the groom's entrance. And he was like saying
- 40:54Speaker 3: a song. This is my name. I'm Jean to the
- 40:56Speaker 3: ER or whatever. And it's like he was talking.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Over a song, but he didn't practice. So it wasn't
- 41:01Speaker 5: even like a good talking. I guess people will just
- 41:05Speaker 5: feel like their prom is their Oscar night.
- 41:08Speaker 4: This is that big night.
- 41:09Speaker 3: And then their wedding is like even a bigger thing.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Right. so I guess they're not famous or anything. So
- 41:15Speaker 4: they're like, if.
- 41:16Speaker 3: We could do a dance routine, you know, to that
- 41:19Speaker 3: Chris Brown song.
- 41:20Speaker 5: That song, that's.
- 41:25Speaker 4: The one everybody does.
- 41:27Speaker 3: I guess they feel like it'll be worth it.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Like we'll get a million views and we'll make $ 12
- 41:30Speaker 5: on Tik TOK.
- 41:31Speaker 3: This will all be worth the 12 hours a week
- 41:35Speaker 3: that we practice this thing. And, um, Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 5: Speaking of which, let's talk about And Just Like That
- 41:42Speaker 5: because two weeks ago, the writers did the laziest thing.
- 41:47Speaker 5: They did an entire karaoke episode. And I've talked about it.
- 41:54Speaker 5: I need to know your opinion of the season.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Just go off.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Okay. Well, I caught up. Thank you. Because we spoke
- 42:02Speaker 4: and you said watch it. So I watched the last
- 42:04Speaker 4: three episodes, I believe. And This is going to sound,
- 42:10Speaker 4: maybe I shouldn't, here goes.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Go. There's no wrong answer here at Juicy Scoop.
- 42:14Speaker 4: Because I'm old. We're all old. Everybody gets old.
- 42:16Speaker 7: Yes.
- 42:16Speaker 4: But I don't feel I need to see Evan Handler
- 42:19Speaker 4: fucking ever again. Like, I'm done. I'm done. Charlotte's husband
- 42:23Speaker 4: who suffered from prostate cancer. I don't need to see him.
- 42:25Speaker 4: I don't need to see old people having sex anymore.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Even John Corbett, who's an attractive, like him lying there
- 42:32Speaker 4: next to Sarah Jessica Parker. Like the whole thing, like
- 42:35Speaker 4: it's just from one old couple to the... I'm old.
- 42:39Speaker 3: We're all old.
- 42:40Speaker 4: And God bless all of us who are still out
- 42:41Speaker 4: there knocking it around from time to time. I agree.
- 42:44Speaker 4: But I don't need to watch it.
- 42:45Speaker 3: I think that they're... Okay.
- 42:46Speaker 5: So I've talked about that I cracked the code and
- 42:49Speaker 5: I'm almost sad that I cracked the code because the
- 42:51Speaker 5: code is what are these writers doing?
- 42:53Speaker 3: What are they thinking? What's their motivation?
- 42:56Speaker 5: Unfortunately, I found the podcast and now I know their
- 42:59Speaker 5: motivation and it kind of takes the fun out.
- 43:01Speaker 4: Of the frustration. Can you tell me what it is?
- 43:04Speaker 3: Yes. There are English teachers that think they're funny.
- 43:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 43:08Speaker 3: That's the most painful part.
- 43:09Speaker 4: I feel like I'm listening.
- 43:10Speaker 5: To 60-year-old English teachers that taught at my all-girl high
- 43:14Speaker 5: school and I somehow got caught in the faculty room
- 43:19Speaker 5: where they're kind of hippie-ish.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Right.
- 43:21Speaker 5: And they're wearing Birkenstocks and they're smoking and they, they
- 43:24Speaker 5: think they're hilarious and.
- 43:25Speaker 3: They're talking about their lives. That's what it is.
- 43:28Speaker 5: And it is, it, it like, They literally talk about, oh,
- 43:31Speaker 5: and then the motivation. And then they're always laughing so
- 43:34Speaker 5: hard at funny things that aren't funny.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Oh, my God. The comedy bits are so painful. And
- 43:41Speaker 4: I know there used to be comedy elements in the first,
- 43:44Speaker 4: you know.
- 43:44Speaker 3: There really wasn't. It was more juicy. Yeah.
- 43:47Speaker 4: But now like.
- 43:47Speaker 3: You were never dying laughing.
- 43:49Speaker 4: The whole Mario Cantone bakery thing that I'm supposed to
- 43:52Speaker 4: laugh at, I guess, because they got big dicks or something.
- 43:54Speaker 4: I mean, it's painful. And the other thing is like.
- 43:58Speaker 4: We all know what New York looks like. We all
- 44:00Speaker 4: know the way New York works. Like if you've been
- 44:02Speaker 4: on vacation or you live there, whatever. Like it's like
- 44:05Speaker 4: the whole look, it looks so fake. That bakery looks fake.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Their uniforms look fake. Nothing looks authentic. We know that
- 44:11Speaker 4: place doesn't exist in real life. It's just all, it's
- 44:15Speaker 4: all dumb. That's the only way to, like I watch
- 44:18Speaker 4: it and I'm like, this is so dumb.
- 44:20Speaker 5: We miss Shea Diaz so much.
- 44:23Speaker 4: Oh, God. Because that was- Yeah, see? We didn't know
- 44:26Speaker 4: what we had until it was gone.
- 44:28Speaker 3: That was cringy and crazy, but it's funny now.
- 44:30Speaker 4: I know.
- 44:31Speaker 5: If you go back, because it was so 2021 or two.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Yeah. It was so- And now that feels like a
- 44:38Speaker 3: decade ago.
- 44:39Speaker 4: Right.
- 44:40Speaker 3: I can't believe we talked like this and did this.
- 44:44Speaker 5: The podcast was like, hello, and I'm your queer, non-binary, Irish,
- 44:48Speaker 5: Mexican- Cisgendered, polyamorous, and to my left is a boring gender, cisgendered, Carrie,
- 44:58Speaker 5: and heterosexual, deviant, what's his name?
- 45:02Speaker 3: Who was our Asian friend?
- 45:03Speaker 5: What's his name?
- 45:04Speaker 3: What is his name?
- 45:05Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, yeah. Wait, Bobby Lee?
- 45:08Speaker 3: Bobby Lee. Yeah, okay. And I'm like, oh, my God.
- 45:11Speaker 5: Now I know these writers, and they were just probably like, oh,
- 45:14Speaker 5: let's do a podcast.
- 45:16Speaker 3: And then it's just... Yeah.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Oh, but probably he was in it. He was in it.
- 45:21Speaker 3: I totally forgot that.
- 45:21Speaker 4: He was with a podcast host. What happened to him?
- 45:24Speaker 3: His character?
- 45:25Speaker 5: Yeah. His character, they just, yeah, none of those, she
- 45:28Speaker 5: does not, she obviously doesn't keep in touch with friends.
- 45:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 3: So, yeah, he's gone.
- 45:32Speaker 4: The other part of it I think is fun is
- 45:34Speaker 4: because Samantha did not come back and she's not coming back,
- 45:38Speaker 4: they just introduced these other characters that they're forcing down
- 45:41Speaker 4: our throats of whether we like it or not. Doug,
- 45:43Speaker 4: you are going to like this Indian woman and this
- 45:46Speaker 4: black editor who's You're going to like them if it
- 45:49Speaker 4: kills us. You're going to like them. And they're doing
- 45:51Speaker 4: full plot lines around them. And we just don't care.
- 45:54Speaker 3: We don't care. This is what the podcast is like.
- 45:56Speaker 3: And then we see Seema.
- 45:58Speaker 5: And I mean, talk about the comedic time.
- 46:01Speaker 3: This is the way to talk on the podcast. Talk
- 46:03Speaker 3: about the comedic timing. I love these two together, Seema
- 46:06Speaker 3: and the Gardener. They have such hot chemistry.
- 46:08Speaker 4: Oh, this is the podcast after the show. Tells you
- 46:10Speaker 4: to watch after the show. Yeah, the writers talking about it.
- 46:12Speaker 5: And they're like, Ed, then we get to this hilarious
- 46:14Speaker 5: part that Suzanne and I, one of the other writers,
- 46:19Speaker 5: we actually got dinner one night and we looked over
- 46:22Speaker 5: and we saw a woman actually putting on her deodorant.
- 46:27Speaker 5: And we said, this has got to go in the show.
- 46:30Speaker 5: This has got to go in the show. And there's
- 46:34Speaker 5: so many things that don't go in the show, but
- 46:36Speaker 5: this we were like, absolutely. And so I'm watching it
- 46:39Speaker 5: with Drake and he goes, and then the whole thing
- 46:41Speaker 5: is that Seema finds out But the whole storyline is
- 46:44Speaker 5: about deodorant. And Seema finds out that the gardener who
- 46:47Speaker 5: was like raised hippie, whose mom changed his last name
- 46:50Speaker 5: to Karma, so funny, that he doesn't use deodorant. He
- 46:55Speaker 5: uses a crystal rock or something. And she's like, well,
- 46:59Speaker 5: deodorant is my thing.
- 47:01Speaker 3: It's my thing.
- 47:01Speaker 5: And he's like, yeah, when I licked your armpit the
- 47:03Speaker 5: other night, I tasted like magnesium or something. And she's like,
- 47:09Speaker 5: I don't know if I can date you if you
- 47:10Speaker 5: don't wear deodorant.
- 47:11Speaker 3: And Drake, my son, goes... From the woman who smokes
- 47:14Speaker 3: like four packs of cigarettes a day?
- 47:16Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, really.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Oh my God, you're right.
- 47:18Speaker 4: Like you don't even think about stuff like that.
- 47:20Speaker 5: Like you're literally smoking real cigarettes and you look like
- 47:23Speaker 5: you smoke cigarettes. I'm just like, I'm like, what? And
- 47:28Speaker 5: everyone hates Aiden and I, now granted, maybe they don't
- 47:33Speaker 5: want to reveal too much, but I am hoping now,
- 47:35Speaker 5: I'm bummed that I listened because I was hoping before
- 47:38Speaker 5: I started to listen to their motivation that he was
- 47:41Speaker 5: doing a long revenge.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 47:44Speaker 3: If Samantha was there and.
- 47:49Speaker 5: Carrie told her he slept with his ex-wife, you know,
- 47:53Speaker 5: his kid is weird, we have to wait five years,
- 47:56Speaker 5: all that stuff, Samantha would be like, oh, honey, he's
- 48:00Speaker 5: getting you back for when you fucked big behind his back.
- 48:03Speaker 3: This is a 20-year-long revenge. Get out, honey. Like, a
- 48:08Speaker 3: friend would be like, have you ever thought Like, what
- 48:11Speaker 3: is the student's motivation? Like, why is he fucking around?
- 48:14Speaker 5: And now it's like, no, but when you listen to
- 48:16Speaker 5: the podcast, it's like, oh, he's jealous of the professor
- 48:19Speaker 5: downstairs with his pipe.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Now, now I don't, there's not even enough to hate.
- 48:25Speaker 3: It's so boring.
- 48:26Speaker 4: It's just, yeah. Well, the other thing is they have
- 48:30Speaker 4: to get in most, in a lot of the cases,
- 48:31Speaker 4: they have to get older actors, you know, who've been, and,
- 48:35Speaker 4: and most of them, some of them you have not
- 48:37Speaker 4: seen before. And there's a reason because they're probably bad actors.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:41Speaker 4: And just like that weird guy who came into like...
- 48:43Speaker 4: I don't know if it was the last episode. He
- 48:45Speaker 4: was the boyfriend of Aiden's new ex-wife. Right. And for
- 48:52Speaker 4: some reason, he just came, appeared. And it was kind
- 48:54Speaker 4: of like an odd.
- 48:55Speaker 3: I think it's their friends who need their health insurance.
- 48:58Speaker 4: That could very well be. It's the writer's friends who.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Need their health insurance and they're like, well, if it
- 49:02Speaker 3: just finds you something. Yeah.
- 49:03Speaker 5: And as long as you have this many lines in
- 49:05Speaker 5: this many days, then you can make your minimum and,
- 49:07Speaker 5: you know, get your prostate checked.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Like I just, I can't.
- 49:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:11Speaker 3: It's so, okay, wait, um, wait, you were just talking
- 49:15Speaker 3: about something about... Oh, God.
- 49:18Speaker 5: Oh, so when we're watching it, because now I make
- 49:21Speaker 5: Drake watch it.
- 49:22Speaker 4: With me, okay?
- 49:23Speaker 5: Because he comes up with the funniest thing. But anyway,
- 49:27Speaker 5: I said, remember now, Kristen, there's so many health things.
- 49:31Speaker 5: Kristen Davis Charlotte has vertigo.
- 49:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:35Speaker 3: And I said.
- 49:37Speaker 5: Oh God, she's going to end up on the bed
- 49:41Speaker 5: with the naked girl in the art exhibit. That's the
- 49:45Speaker 5: whole point of the vertigo. And I go, now Drake,
- 49:48Speaker 5: we're going to go and listen to this podcast. And
- 49:50Speaker 5: they're going to say that was their motivation.
- 49:52Speaker 3: And it was.
- 49:53Speaker 4: Wow.
- 49:53Speaker 3: That's why they came up with the vertigo.
- 49:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:55Speaker 5: And they said, well, I've had vertigo and our friends
- 49:57Speaker 5: have had vertigo, but millennials don't believe that it's real.
- 49:59Speaker 5: So we said, we have to put vertigo in it.
- 50:02Speaker 5: And then we thought, how delicious that she falls on
- 50:05Speaker 5: this like naked woman who's doing this art installation. And
- 50:09Speaker 5: I was just like, but we're going back to the
- 50:11Speaker 5: sex thing. You know, the original show showed a lot
- 50:14Speaker 5: of sex.
- 50:15Speaker 4: Yeah. But it was also 25 years ago.
- 50:17Speaker 3: But you're right. It's 25 years ago.
- 50:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:20Speaker 3: The storylines.
- 50:22Speaker 5: Kind of makes sense. People do get sick. You do
- 50:24Speaker 5: get worried. You do have things that go wrong with you.
- 50:28Speaker 3: It is weird.
- 50:29Speaker 5: I mean, I thought the most realistic thing was that
- 50:32Speaker 5: Aiden has a fucked up kid.
- 50:34Speaker 3: I thought that is realistic.
- 50:35Speaker 5: She doesn't have kids. And she should be like, thank
- 50:38Speaker 5: you for saving me. She almost moved those three monsters
- 50:42Speaker 5: into her big house, remember? She wanted a bed for
- 50:44Speaker 5: each of them. So he like saved her when he's like, yeah,
- 50:46Speaker 5: this is why we just need to get this kid
- 50:48Speaker 5: off to college or the army or whatever. And then
- 50:51Speaker 5: in the last one, he goes, oh, he doesn't want,
- 50:55Speaker 5: he now is living with his mom. And she's standing
- 50:58Speaker 5: there like, oh, I'm thinking you're not like, oh, the
- 51:00Speaker 5: mom that you just fucked last weekend. Like, remember he
- 51:03Speaker 5: said he cheated on her.
- 51:04Speaker 3: And then he goes, then she's like, And he.
- 51:06Speaker 5: Goes, I don't know.
- 51:06Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 51:07Speaker 3: What did I do wrong? And I'm like, okay.
- 51:10Speaker 5: From the kid's perspective, you didn't give him his ADHD.
- 51:14Speaker 3: At all medicine. You made him paint a house that
- 51:16Speaker 3: didn't need to be painted. You, you know.
- 51:19Speaker 4: Made him play a board game that he didn't want to.
- 51:21Speaker 4: And then he broke the windows. I was just like,
- 51:23Speaker 4: I'm kind of half watching because I'm like not into it.
- 51:26Speaker 4: So I walk in and out of the room.
- 51:28Speaker 3: With the apples to apples, I'm like.
- 51:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:31Speaker 3: That scene, I'm like, uh.
- 51:34Speaker 5: Listen, we played with the kids and I knew I
- 51:38Speaker 5: could tell when one of my kids was getting upset,
- 51:40Speaker 5: no one's picking his apples.
- 51:41Speaker 4: Right.
- 51:42Speaker 5: And so you're supposed to close your eyes. And I
- 51:43Speaker 5: used to like looked and then I would pick his.
- 51:45Speaker 4: Oh, that was nice.
- 51:46Speaker 3: To save us from getting a window cracked.
- 51:48Speaker 4: Getting your window scratched.
- 51:51Speaker 3: I'm like, why did they do that? Yeah. Anyway, there's
- 51:53Speaker 3: nothing more to say.
- 51:54Speaker 4: How much longer can it go? Like, can it go
- 51:56Speaker 4: five more seasons?
- 51:57Speaker 5: It's definitely going to go two more because I think
- 51:59Speaker 5: it is getting the ratings.
- 52:01Speaker 4: I know. I think it is.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Because we're still talking about it.
- 52:03Speaker 4: But it's a niche.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Like a lot of people like Heather.
- 52:05Speaker 4: It's like the number one show on HBO or Max,
- 52:07Speaker 4: whatever it's called now. Yeah. So it's doing well.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Yeah. But there's too many other characters.
- 52:14Speaker 5: And when they had all the singing, I'm like, it
- 52:17Speaker 5: was such a lazy writing thing.
- 52:19Speaker 4: They all got to go.
- 52:20Speaker 3: Karaoke singing. I'm like, shut up.
- 52:23Speaker 4: Okay.
- 52:24Speaker 5: What do you think about Stephen Colbert? He got canceled.
- 52:28Speaker 5: And what do you think about that?
- 52:31Speaker 4: I mean, it depends on which side of the.
- 52:35Speaker 4: Listen.
- 52:35Speaker 5: I think it's just that I do think it wasn't
- 52:37Speaker 5: making money. I do think, you know, the shows sometimes
- 52:41Speaker 5: just cannot.
- 52:42Speaker 3: These are very, very, very expensive shows.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Right.
- 52:46Speaker 3: And if you're getting the views of like, you know,
- 52:48Speaker 3: a podcast.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:49Speaker 3: And you've got 65.
- 52:51Speaker 5: People working on it. Loading in a live audience is
- 52:54Speaker 5: super expensive.
- 52:55Speaker 4: 220 people work on the show. You remember at Chelsea Lely,
- 52:58Speaker 4: how many people we had working on the show? We
- 52:59Speaker 4: had a ton of people. We had a giant staff
- 53:02Speaker 4: of people.
- 53:03Speaker 3: And when you have a live audience, that's a whole
- 53:05Speaker 3: nother expense.
- 53:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 53:05Speaker 3: You have to fill it. You have to do the safety.
- 53:08Speaker 3: You have to, you know, it's not like watch.
- 53:09Speaker 5: What happens where it's a very small audience of like
- 53:12Speaker 5: 20 people.
- 53:13Speaker 4: Yeah. Politically or whatever you want to consider, you know,
- 53:17Speaker 4: because there's a lot of different reasons why this may
- 53:19Speaker 4: have happened. However- It was going to happen eventually. The
- 53:23Speaker 4: landscape of television is changing rapidly. The fact that these
- 53:27Speaker 4: shows are honestly even still on is remarkable. The only
- 53:30Speaker 4: reason they are is probably because he has a longer
- 53:33Speaker 4: contract or whatever the case may be. The fact that
- 53:35Speaker 4: they're even still an hour is beyond me. I don't
- 53:38Speaker 4: know how that's even– like make them a half hour.
- 53:42Speaker 4: And so he's going– and it's going to be Jimmy
- 53:45Speaker 4: Kimmel and Fallon next just for the reason that– People
- 53:49Speaker 4: don't watch TV anymore.
- 53:50Speaker 5: Well, it's like having a big celebrity come and look
- 53:52Speaker 5: pretty for seven minutes. It's like when we've already seen
- 53:56Speaker 5: them on every other podcast.
- 53:58Speaker 4: Do 45 minutes.
- 53:59Speaker 3: They have their own podcast. We watch them on Instagram.
- 54:03Speaker 5: It used to be a big deal to have like,
- 54:05Speaker 5: you know, Johnny Carson or Jay Leno have Madonna on.
- 54:09Speaker 3: Oh, she only does three shows a year. If that.
- 54:12Speaker 4: And the other weird thing is there's... People don't make
- 54:16Speaker 4: movies the way they used to, so they don't have
- 54:18Speaker 4: anything to promote.
- 54:19Speaker 8: No.
- 54:19Speaker 4: Jennifer Aniston is not making three movies a year anymore,
- 54:22Speaker 4: so she's got nothing to talk about. So you're not
- 54:25Speaker 4: going to have Jennifer Aniston.
- 54:26Speaker 5: Well, I do.
- 54:26Speaker 7: I do.
- 54:27Speaker 3: I am dating the greatest guy. He is a hypnotist.
- 54:31Speaker 3: We went to Mallorca.
- 54:32Speaker 4: What's that about?
- 54:33Speaker 3: We went with my friend, Jason Bateman. Oh, I call
- 54:38Speaker 3: him JJ. He is the best. And yeah, like who cares?
- 54:42Speaker 5: I know.
- 54:42Speaker 4: And then, like you said, you could see them on
- 54:45Speaker 4: Theo Vaughn or whatever for an hour and a half.
- 54:47Speaker 3: Right. If that's who you're excited about.
- 54:48Speaker 4: And why would you watch them play ping pong for
- 54:49Speaker 4: seven minutes with Jimmy DeFount? You know what I mean?
- 54:51Speaker 4: Like that was all cute 10 years ago. It's just
- 54:54Speaker 4: not– we're not that world anymore.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 54:57Speaker 5: And so when we were watching Hacks this last season
- 55:00Speaker 5: and then she gets her goal of having the late
- 55:03Speaker 5: night show and at the end of the season, which
- 55:07Speaker 5: that show is coming back– She gives it up because
- 55:10Speaker 5: she doesn't want to fire her head writer, who was
- 55:13Speaker 5: the other girl, Hannah. Her name's Ava, though, in the show. Anyway,
- 55:20Speaker 5: she doesn't want to hire her right-hand girl. So she's like,
- 55:22Speaker 5: forget it.
- 55:22Speaker 3: I'm gone.
- 55:23Speaker 5: And I hope next season of Hacks, they show her going...
- 55:28Speaker 5: This just wasn't, this isn't my dream anymore. Like, you know,
- 55:32Speaker 5: someone saying, what's your dream? Like, well, my dream was,
- 55:35Speaker 5: I always thought I'd be a mom in a sitcom.
- 55:37Speaker 5: I always thought one day that'll happen. That's what I imagined.
- 55:40Speaker 5: That's what I wanted, you know?
- 55:41Speaker 8: Right.
- 55:42Speaker 5: And now I'm like, sure, if you want to hand
- 55:43Speaker 5: it to me, I wouldn't say no, but it's just
- 55:45Speaker 5: not like the way.
- 55:46Speaker 3: So I'm like, so it'd be interesting to see now
- 55:50Speaker 3: that she's 70, her being like, it is too much work.
- 55:52Speaker 3: I don't want to do it.
- 55:53Speaker 7: Right.
- 55:53Speaker 5: What do I want to do? Like in the next
- 55:55Speaker 5: season of Hacks or whatever. But the thing about a
- 55:58Speaker 5: woman doing late night, which I don't know why people
- 56:02Speaker 5: haven't talked more about this. It's not because the world
- 56:07Speaker 5: hates women. It's not because the world doesn't think women
- 56:10Speaker 5: are funny. It's because comedy is subjective. You watch who
- 56:15Speaker 5: you're attracted to. I used to stay up late to
- 56:17Speaker 5: watch Joan Rivers whenever she was there for the week
- 56:21Speaker 5: or two doing it.
- 56:22Speaker 3: I was like.
- 56:22Speaker 4: Johnny Carson.
- 56:23Speaker 5: I would go to my dad's office, say I had
- 56:25Speaker 5: a project, and I'd just watch. I loved it because
- 56:27Speaker 5: I saw someone that.
- 56:28Speaker 3: I could relate to. However, women go to bed earlier. Right.
- 56:34Speaker 3: So if you're going to do it late.
- 56:36Speaker 5: And the reason I think Chelsea was successful, it was
- 56:39Speaker 5: not your.
- 56:39Speaker 3: Typical late night. It didn't go on... I think the
- 56:43Speaker 3: latest it went was 11.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:45Speaker 5: Sometimes 10, 30, depending on when you'd want, you know,
- 56:47Speaker 5: but I feel like it was 11, not 1130. I
- 56:49Speaker 5: know like on our coast.
- 56:51Speaker 4: We started out 1130. We moved to 11.
- 56:52Speaker 3: We moved to 11. It wasn't that late. It was
- 56:54Speaker 3: only a half hour.
- 56:55Speaker 4: Right.
- 56:56Speaker 3: And, and it was, you know, on a, like a
- 56:59Speaker 3: more female eccentric channel. So I'm like, yeah, the people
- 57:03Speaker 3: staying up late to watch this and not really watch
- 57:06Speaker 3: it in real time. Who are they?
- 57:08Speaker 5: And so that's why I'm like, that's why I don't
- 57:11Speaker 5: think it's a woman.
- 57:12Speaker 4: Right. Why? Are they saying.
- 57:14Speaker 3: Well, you know, people are always like, why are people against... No,
- 57:18Speaker 3: there's been times when it's like.
- 57:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:20Speaker 5: There was times when, you know, women were up to replace,
- 57:23Speaker 5: you know, Colbert or whatever.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Or The Daily Show and stuff like that. Or the singing... Yeah,
- 57:27Speaker 4: Jon Stewart.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Who was the singing English guy.
- 57:30Speaker 4: That wasn't gay? Oh, yeah, Corden, James Corden.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Yeah, James Corden.
- 57:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:33Speaker 3: So, like, you know, who was going to do that?
- 57:35Speaker 3: And it's the same thing. It's just like.
- 57:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:39Speaker 3: You know, and it's hard because, yeah... Do I think
- 57:42Speaker 3: like a Nikki Glaser could do something?
- 57:44Speaker 4: Sure. Sure.
- 57:45Speaker 5: But again, if the women are going to watch it,
- 57:49Speaker 5: women have kids, women go to bed earlier. Like we
- 57:52Speaker 5: just are not like night owls, the majority of us.
- 57:56Speaker 4: Like they're not doing them anymore. Like this, this is
- 57:59Speaker 4: all TV network. Television will be over in five years.
- 58:04Speaker 4: It just will. It's just not going to be. The
- 58:06Speaker 4: only thing keeping it around now is, is sports and, uh,
- 58:10Speaker 4: Once that goes to Netflix or whoever, it's over. So.
- 58:15Speaker 5: And then sometimes I'm like, just today when I was
- 58:17Speaker 5: doing my makeup thinking about this topic, I was like,
- 58:20Speaker 5: oh my gosh, you know, this is supposed to be
- 58:22Speaker 5: hard for all these executives and all these people. And
- 58:25Speaker 5: then I'm like, Heather, have any of these people thought
- 58:28Speaker 5: what you were doing when they weren't hiring you? Did
- 58:31Speaker 5: anybody care when they dumped you as an agent? Did
- 58:33Speaker 5: anybody wonder, oh, should I give Heather... apart so that
- 58:37Speaker 5: she could keep her insurance?
- 58:38Speaker 3: No, no one gave a fuck about me.
- 58:40Speaker 5: So why the fuck do I feel sorry for these
- 58:42Speaker 5: people that have been handed everything, had it super easy,
- 58:46Speaker 5: were fucking lazy, were dicks, decided, oh, you know, Heather
- 58:50Speaker 5: was rude to me. Did I tell the story of
- 58:55Speaker 5: why I was like blackballed by somebody recently that I
- 58:58Speaker 5: found out?
- 59:00Speaker 4: I don't know. This is a mother's story.
- 59:01Speaker 3: I'll tell you this story.
- 59:02Speaker 6: Just kidding.
- 59:03Speaker 4: Okay.
- 59:04Speaker 5: Um, because I remembered it and I don't know if
- 59:06Speaker 5: I've told it on the show and if I did, sorry,
- 59:07Speaker 5: it'll take two minutes.
- 59:08Speaker 4: Okay.
- 59:10Speaker 5: I had this publicist and it was right around the Chelsea,
- 59:13Speaker 5: ending of Chelsea lately, where I was up for like
- 59:15Speaker 5: talk shows, the talk and whatever, hoping to get new ones.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:19Speaker 5: And I was up for something and the guy was
- 59:22Speaker 5: trying to get it for me. And he goes, do
- 59:25Speaker 5: you know so-and-so, some woman's name?
- 59:28Speaker 3: And I go, no.
- 59:30Speaker 5: And he goes, well, yeah, she's cast a lot of
- 59:33Speaker 5: these things and she is not a fan of yours.
- 59:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 59:39Speaker 3: And I go, okay. And he goes, well, it's because
- 59:41Speaker 3: what you did at this place. And I go, what
- 59:44Speaker 3: are you talking about? So I belonged to the club Braebar,
- 59:48Speaker 3: which is very close to you.
- 59:49Speaker 4: Braebar, right by my house, yeah.
- 59:50Speaker 5: And that was like our first country club. And it
- 59:53Speaker 5: was like a country club. You can just sign up
- 59:56Speaker 5: and do it. It was very nice, golf, tennis, whatever,
- 59:58Speaker 5: and pool. And so I would go with the kids.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: They had a diving board and everything. The kids would swim.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: But they didn't have like pool service where the guy
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: would like take your order. You had to go down,
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: or maybe there was construction. I had to go down,
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: order it, come back, and then get the food for
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: the kids. And I was there by myself and I
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: had the three kids and I went down and ordered
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: it and then I went down to get it. And
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: I had left three kids by themselves. And one was
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: Brandon and he was probably at an age where he
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: could kind of swim, but he.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: Could also die.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: So like, and I literally have like McKinsey in charge. Okay.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: And like, and so I just was like, so I
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: remember the day.
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: So I go down and I see my food, like
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: behind the girl in the desk, cause she's having people
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: come sit in the restaurant.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: And I'm not supposed to really be down there in
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: a bathing suit, but I don't know what I'm supposed
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: to do. So I come down. I'm like, and there's
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: some people around. And I'm just like, hi. I'm like, sorry.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: That's my food.
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: Can I just get my food that's right there before
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: my kid drowns? And whatever I did, and maybe I
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: was a little more, maybe I cut in line.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Maybe I, whatever.
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: That woman knew who I was.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: Okay. And I had was. She was there. The woman
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: was there.
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: And she thought I was a rude bitch. And therefore
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: I was not going to be on these shows.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Yeah. And I'm like, here I literally was a single
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: mom that day.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: Just, you know, that's why I'm always like, God, sometimes
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: the little bit of fame doesn't give me the right
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: to ever like be nervous or misbehave or not take
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: a photo or what I like. And I'm like, I go, well,
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: I can't, I can't replace that day, but at least
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: my kid isn't dead.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: I don't know what to tell you.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: I was just like, so I'm like, no, when I
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: see this stuff, I'm like, good. Fuck you.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: I'm kind of the same way.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: I've never been on Cobert. I've never been on Fallon.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: I've never been on Kimmel.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: I was pitched for all that shit when I had
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: books and specials come out. And the only ones that
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: I was on was the Jay Leno because he loved
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: our show and would have us come on sometimes.
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: I don't like agents and managers and all that stuff
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: that now are kind of going away because of just
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: not the work out there anymore. Yeah. Fuck them. They
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: never I never had anybody who was on my side
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: or anything like that. Everything I got outside of like,
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: you know, Chelsea Handler. But outside of that, I kind
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: of made my own way, you know.
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: So even that I reached out to Chelsea and said,
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: I heard you're doing this show. Can I send you
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: some samples? Like even that was not someone trying to
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: get me the part.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: And when I got my first show, Lyricist's Lounge, they
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: wouldn't see me. And then after they were in production,
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Alison Faust called me and was like, they got rid
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: of the white girl. And I said, well, my friend
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: is funnier than her. So can you come in? And
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: then when I got in, I told my agent and
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: they're like, oh yeah, they wouldn't see you.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: Well, that's great that you got the part. Now I'll take,
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: you know, my 20% or whatever.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: So I'm like, yeah.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: So- I still feel bad for people, but I don't.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: I don't.
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: I remember the first thing I got with Chelsea before
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: I was working on another show called the Chelsea Handler
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: Show before Chelsea Lillard. And the two people who produced it,
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: these two guys, I don't know what it became of.
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: Them.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: For whatever reason, they were not fans. Of you. Yeah,
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: of me. And they were like, I don't know.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: They probably felt threatened or something.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: They were like, I don't think. And I remember her
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: just going, fuck off. He's the guy. That's it. I
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: don't give a fuck if you guys quit tomorrow. And
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: I was like, wow. She was like the one person
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: who would like respond immediately to like texts and stuff.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: That's how I got the part.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Because they wanted to give it to, I'm just going
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: to say they wanted to give it to Sue Murphy.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: And she goes, no, I want Heather. And then when
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: they got.
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: Another budget or more money, or they got rid of
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: some other guy that was weird, then the producer at
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: the time said, we're going to bring on Sue Murphy now.
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: And then Sue Murphy stayed the whole time, which was great.
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: But like, yeah, no, I mean, it was great. She,
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: you know, she didn't pick the typical people and, and, and,
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: you know, so whenever people say there's no women in late,
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: I'm like, she.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: Was really the only one.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: That really had a show for many, many years and
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: shared the stage with people.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: That's the difference too. The whole format was different.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: The other thing that, well, not to get into this
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: too deep, but we were, I was writing something recently
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: on my Facebook page for my podcast where I was saying,
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: I just, I constantly hear these bro podcasters and stuff
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: all talking about how edgy they are. And I'm like,
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: I don't know. I feel like we On Chelsea Lely, you, me, Chelsea,
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: all of us, we did all of this shit 12
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: years ago on like network television. Totally. Like stuff that
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: was just shocking looking back on it. And we all
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: thought it was funny. And people, I think the audience
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: did as well. And now you hear these people like, oh,
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: I can't believe you said that. Like, and they're high-fiving
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: each other because they did a tarantula. We were doing
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: that shit 12 years. Like before you people did anything,
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: we did everything. I really feel that to be true.
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: Like some of the characters you played and I played.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: I did it. And you know what?
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: I'm not going to apologize for it because the truth is,
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: and Sarah Silverman said this and I always, she's like,
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: you know, comedy changes.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: So what was funny and acceptable 15 years ago, maybe
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: not is now, or maybe it will be again in five.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: It does.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: It just, it is what it is. Yeah.
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: But it's also because you know, we weren't, we'd get
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: a couple of tweets, but like the way that, you know,
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: we could read all the comments now and everything. And so, yeah,
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: when someone says like, you offended me or I was
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: hurt by that, I am always like, oh my.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: Gosh, that does bother me.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: It does upset.
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: I'm like, I wouldn't mean to hurt someone's feelings or,
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: you know.
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: I don't think anybody like, I don't think any of
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: us go into it to try and hurt people's feelings,
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: but sometimes it happens just, you know, as.
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: A, Well, I mean, I did an update on Tuesday
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: about the Idaho murderer.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: And in doing it, I mispronounced one of the victim's names.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: It's Kaylee. And I think I said Callie.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: And you're right, that sucks. Like, I'm really sorry. Like,
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: I was doing 20 topics by myself.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: And I was more about the message that her family
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: said that I thought was amazing. And I miss, you know,
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: and then the other girl, I think I called her
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: Zina instead of Zanna. Right. And in another episode. And
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: then it's Ethan and Maddie. I know I'm right about those.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: And like, I'm sorry. I don't have 55 people working
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: on the Juicy Scoop show.
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: You know, I don't have little cards.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: I don't have a teleprompter. I don't have a seven
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: minute interview.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: And you really don't do a ton of editing or anything.
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: That's kind of. No, I don't.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: I'm like, it literally comes this, we're recording this the
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: day before and it's like, no.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: And that's kind of a good thing.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: But I get it.
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: Like you could tell me and you can be pissed
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: about it and whatever. JoJo Siwa, full straight relationship.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: Straight, but back again.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: Back and full boyfriend with her.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: And talking about it like, I love dick and me,
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: I look wild.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: Remember, she was like, first of all, gays fuck.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: Maybe one of my exes.
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: But I think that's great because the whole thing is
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: you're young and you're fluid. And I predicted that this
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: would be the first generation where people might have their
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: first relationship be same sex before they settle on a
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: more long-term relationship where they're like, no, I actually am with.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: The opposite sex.
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: You know, in our day, we went to prom with
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: the gay guy from theater and.
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: We knew it. I didn't. How dare you?
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: We knew it. I knew, you know, whatever.
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: And then later on they came, you know, so everyone
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: had to hide it, like not be themselves. But now
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: it's like, well, I guess, you know, who cares? Like, but, um,
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: what did you think of her video?
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: Oh, Betty Davis eyes.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: She's got Betty Davis eyes.
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: I'm on a boat if I'm on you. What were you? Like, why?
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: I mean, she's kind of a kooky gal, isn't she?
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: She did pick a song that basically the girl that
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: sang that song had just a scratchy of a voice.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: True, but she was able to kind of handle it.
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: But then how crazy that the same week that her
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: song came out, and just like that, the Gardner sang
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: that song to SEMA.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: You've got Betty Davis eyes. She had a patch on
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: her eye.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: I was like, wow, the universe really works in a
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: mysterious way.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: She's raking it in right now.
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: She didn't like it. Yeah.
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: She didn't like it. Who cares?
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: But then she wore like an old Betty Boop. I
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: think she is so cute, JoJo.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: Who? JoJo Siwa?
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: I think she just has the cutest fucking little face.
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: And I think she's a hard worker and, you know,
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: but now I.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: Feel like- Wasn't she on like an English show with
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: Mickey Rourke for a little bit?
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: That was the- Yeah. That was the- big brother. That's
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: where she fell in love with this straight guy.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: That's how it happened. Yeah.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: And dumped her girlfriend.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: Right. Welcome back, I guess. And yeah, I think we're
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: going to.
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: See like different things like that. Christy Brinkley- This popped up.
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: How's she doing?
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: Her book has come out. She has a memoir that
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: came out April 29th.
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: But this article popped up again. And it was when
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: she talked about the time that she found out that
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: her fourth husband, Peter Cook, who she has Saylor with.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: Yeah. So she was at the Hamptons.
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: She was giving a speech or something at a high
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: school or something like that. And her son, Jack, was
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: from her third.
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: So she had a first husband. who.
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: Billy Joel.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: No, she had a husband before Billy Joel.
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: Oh, really?
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: And I think... I want to say the first husband died. Like,
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: he was like a.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: A skiing accident or something, right?
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: A skiing accident was number three.
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: Something happened with the first one.
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: Then she had Billy Joel and she said he was
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: a full-blown alcoholic and cheated on her.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Imagine that short, ugly thing, cheating on Christy Brinkley.
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: How dare you? He's Long Island royalty.
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: I'm just saying.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: I just watched his documentary on HBO. It's amazing.
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: I'm sure, but like, I just am like And he
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: was such a raging alcoholic. She said one time the
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: worst was he ate an entire thing of spaghetti all himself.
- 1:10:21Speaker 5: And then he yelled at his family for eating his
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: spaghetti and threw them out of the Hamptons' house.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: And they're like, you ate it, Billy.
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: And that is not in scenes from an Italian restaurant.
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: You ate all the spaghetti.
- 1:10:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: And then remember he had that wife, that cute girl
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: that got all– she suddenly was like the Meghan Markle
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: of her time. She got to be Kate or something.
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: She got to do all the Today Show.
- 1:10:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: She knew how to.
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: Put together Hampton Spread.
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: Everyone was inviting her to everything.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Katie Lee.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: Katie Lee Joel. She dumped him.
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: Yeah. Moved on.
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: Now he has some other wife.
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: They've been together for a while. They got kids and everything.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: The latest one he has kids with?
- 1:11:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I got two kids. So, Christine Brinkley meets this
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: guy's architect. Finally, she's got like a cute guy that's
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: like her age.
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: Hampton's royalty, Peter Cook.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Oh, he's Hampton's royalty?
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. He was.
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: And so, she's like at this high school or doing
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: an awards ceremony. And this father taps her on the
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: shoulder and is like, your husband... is having sex with
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: my daughter and she's 18.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: And I'm a Hamptons cop. And she was like.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: And it was this girl that they knew that was
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: like his little intern for the summer.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: She wanted to be an architect.
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: I remember that story was just so shocking.
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: And she's like, it's such a cliche that like your
- 1:11:44Speaker 5: husband cheats with you.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: With a younger woman, but to be so young.
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: Like anything... If you're like a 45-year-old dad and you
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: date anything, I think anything younger than 30 is gross,
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: but anything younger than 25 is fucking gross.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: It's gross. I thank my lucky stars. I have no
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: desire for anything like that. Like I go out like
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: in Montauk where I just was and stuff and I
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: see like 18, like 20-year-olds and I'm like, oh. First
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: of all, I feel like they would be mortified by me.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: Just like everything I did, like if they ever got
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: to the time where we were like, I'd take off
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: my clothes. Oh, Jesus Christ. I'm like, all right, I
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: don't need this type of.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: Well, I think there's so many women that a guy
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: in his, you know, 45, 50, 60 or whatever could
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: date that's within a 10-year, 15-year range that is like
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: so put together and cute and like down to F.
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: What is the goal?
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: The latest Lenny, this Lenny who's 59, he's a plastic surgeon, married,
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: getting divorced or got divorced from his real house.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: As a Miami wife. She was gorgeous, Lisa. Then he
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: got with this Russian that he brought into the house.
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: And they were on and off, on and off engaged.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: They broke up. Now he's with a 23-year-old.
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: And he's 59.
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: Yeah, like Bill Belichick, that one.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: I don't see.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: Is that just, I mean, is it just the girl
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: approaches him because she's a gold digger and then that's
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: like his, that's what he feels. I guess the thing
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: is they don't, they feel so superior because you are
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: going to always be smarter, know everything.
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: Maybe.
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: With a woman who's like 45 and like put together,
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: she's not going to put up with your bullshit.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: Yeah. Good. That's part of their appeal, I think. Right?
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: It's just like.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: So anyway, I thought that was so creepy and I
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: can't remember what happened, but I guess because maybe the
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: girl was technically over 18. So I don't think there
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: was like a legal thing. It was just so embarrassing.
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: I remember reading the article and just imagining this intern
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: at their Hampton's house doing, you know, and then like
- 1:14:01Speaker 5: them getting together and it's like, it happened like in
- 1:14:03Speaker 5: their house, like in his home office.
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: I remember when that went down. That was a big one.
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: The model, Gabrielle Zunga, she announced her retirement from OnlyFans.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: Because she quietly settled her $ 50 million lawsuit against Shannon Sharp.
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: Remember that girl?
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: Where she said that he wrote her all those gross
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: things and he's like, I'm going to choke you.
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: Tonight I'm going to choke you.
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: They had audio of it too.
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: So- They must have settled for enough that she doesn't
- 1:14:38Speaker 5: have to do OnlyFans anymore. Wow.
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: All right. That's good.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: This was pretty crazy.
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: This girl, Michelle Sky Hayward, she's a mother and a
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: professional kite surfer and a media influencer. She went to
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: Cape Town, I guess, in South Africa and was swimming
- 1:14:59Speaker 5: and filming how fun the water is. And then people
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: were like, you're in sewage.
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: Oh, no. Really?
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: I'm literally going to throw up thinking about this story.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: How do they know she was in sewage?
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: Because they knew where she was. And they're like, that's
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: where our sewage is dumped. She wasn't from there. And
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: she's like, oh, this water is very tasty, but I
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: love all these brown bubbles.
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: Oh, God. That's got to.
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: I'm dead serious.
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: Oh, that's disgusting.
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: Disgusting.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: And I mean, do you imagine just like you do
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: a video?
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: And you like take a shower or whatever and you're like, okay,
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: let's see what my comments are. And everyone's like, you
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: were swimming in shit.
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: Yeah. All right.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: Disgusting.
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: This couple got in trouble because they are being accused
- 1:15:45Speaker 5: of doing oral sex on a flight.
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: I saw that.
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: On a flight from, what was it? JetBlue from New
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: York to Florida.
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: Oh boy. Say no more.
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: Regular seats.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: And she literally.
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: I'd rather swim in shit. Than get blown on a
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: jet blue flight to Florida.
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: She literally like was just like in his crotch.
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: And like kids.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: It's not even that far a flight. You can't three hours.
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: You got it.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: And they did it before they took off.
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: They're like on the runway.
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: On the runway. Can't keep.
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: And there were other kids and people watching. Yeah.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: Yeah. And I'm looking at the pictures of them like,
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: I don't, this guy, it's not like a dick you
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: really need to have. You know what I mean?
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: Oh, God. Losers.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: Oh, this girl.
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: This 27-year-old dubbed as Australia's most sexually active woman has ended.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: Up in the hospital. Oh, when is this going to stop?
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: This new thing with. Everybody having sex with a thousand people.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: Well, she was doing it.
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: She was sleeping with 583 men in a single day.
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: And she said her body had had enough. And again,
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: she's another beautiful.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: Blonde, pretty.
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: And she said Angie Knight was hospitalized on Wednesday after
- 1:17:03Speaker 5: suffering with excessive bleeding, an alarming symptom of endometriosis and a.
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: Disease which tissues... And then.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: She said that– But.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: Like I think the last time we were on, we
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: were talking about the one girl who did it.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: And you were saying that you don't know if this
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: is real or not because is there actual like– I
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: think it's real, sadly. Do you watch like video? Like
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: is it on OnlyFans where you can actually see and
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: you count like there's 372. Here comes 373.
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: I guess so and they all wear masks.
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: Oh, they do?
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: Guys wear masks. But what's nice is that she's now
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: on the mend.
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: Good.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: And she's spending time with her fiance.
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: Poor bastard.
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: He's an FIFO worker. I don't know what that means
- 1:17:52Speaker 5: in Australia, who was away during the hospital stay. But
- 1:17:56Speaker 5: do you imagine that that's your son and he's married?
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: She can never win an argument in that relationship ever
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: because he always has that to go back to. No
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: matter what happens, she can argue and he'll be like, well,
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: remember when you fucked 2,000 guys?
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: Let's just not.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: So true.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: Yeah, what are you going to say? Like, you know what?
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: So why were you talking to that girl talking to her?
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: Why didn't you wash the dishes? Why didn't you fuck
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: just 500 guys instead of 2,000?
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: And so she was trying. She said she was only
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: planning on doing 250.
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: It'll get away from you. It'll get away from you.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: 553 showed up. So she, and I said, you know what?
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: And they say Gen Zers don't have a work ethic.
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: Look at this girl.
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: I can't show too much. 200 tickets to the money
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: bone in Omaha. This girl's got, this girl sold out
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: the fuzzy, you know, whatever. Stop it, everybody. Enough is enough.
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: But yeah, I was like, yeah, she didn't want to
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: turn him down. She did overtime.
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: So you brought some treats for us.
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: Oh, I did. I know.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: We'll wrap it up with, oh my God, these are
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: old people magazines from the late 70s.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: These were sent to me by a fan. They're from 79,
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: most of them, some 78. And I actually have an
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: Us magazine too, which is amazing. These are the tops
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: and flops of that year. So Linda Evans, you know.
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: My favorite part.
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: It's black and white inside.
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: A lot of it.
- 1:19:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: There's some color too. The greatest part is every ad
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: is just for cigarettes and liquor, which is great. Yes.
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: And all of it is before like Botox and teeth
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: whitener and even teeth straightener and stuff like that. So
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: everybody doesn't– like they don't even look that great.
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: Well, that is why right here the cover Farrah Fawcett.
- 1:19:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: Just like I said. Farrah Fawcett had the greatest teeth
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: and smile.
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: That was it. It was just the greatest teeth.
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: Now everyone can get giant, huge white teeth. Yeah.
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: You never saw anything like that before.
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: You never saw a smile like this.
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: And so, yeah.
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: I mean, look at Charlene Tilton on the cover of
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: the Dallas Girls, the Girls of Dallas. They were like
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: regular women. But I remember, oh, man, Linda Gray and
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: Victoria Principal. She had good teeth, too.
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: It's really about the teeth.
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: Yeah. The new Norelco microwave oven. Yeah.
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: How do you like that? These ads for micro... It's
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: amazing to thumb through these.
- 1:20:37Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: Have some fun with it.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: These are really old. I love it. Let me see.
- 1:20:44Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:20:44Speaker 5: Well, we should probably.
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Bruce Jenner.
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: That's Bruce Jenner doing Minolta ads.
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: I just was like, who is that? Why does it
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: look so familiar?
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: That's Bruce Jenner.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: Oh my God. And Cruel Shoes.
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: It's Steve Martin's first classic. Everything you expect from the
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: great living writer.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: Word sentences. He had a.
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: Steve Martin wrote... Yeah, he's.
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: Got many books.
- 1:21:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: Fun. Fun, fun, fun.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: Yeah. See, another... A lot of cigarette ads aimed at ladies.
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: A lot of lady-only cigarettes.
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: Your present filters... Come on, girls.
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: You can get out there too and smoke cigarettes.
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: Yeah, here's this one.
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: Um, your present filter is only doing half the job
- 1:21:22Speaker 5: because it doesn't have teratons activated charcoal filtration. There is
- 1:21:27Speaker 5: no substitute for teraton lights flavor.
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: And these were the ads. I remember they used to
- 1:21:33Speaker 4: give the woman a black eye.
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: Wait, why does she have a white thing.
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: Under her eye?
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: Cause it was something about.
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Um.
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: Wild. Okay.
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: Well, tell me what's where everyone can find you next.
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: Wherever you can find me next. What are you doing? Well,
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: first of all, my podcast is called Cover to Cover.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: Listen to that. And then I'm coming, frangola.fun has all
- 1:21:56Speaker 4: my live dates. I'm coming to South Carolina.

- 1:22:20Speaker 4: DC again, and on and on and on.
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: I only have my one show right now. Though I
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: have a call with my agent.
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: Oh, you're doing Vegas or something, right?
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: If he still remembers me.
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: Yes, I'm doing November 14th in Vegas, which is BravoCon weekend,
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: and I'm doing a 10 o'clock show at the MGM Grand,
- 1:22:37Speaker 5: which will be you know, a lot of Bravo fun
