- 2:39S since. Okay, hello everybody, and welcome to Honey Badger Radio.
- 3:07I yes, I started telling you. I was just getting started. We're
- 3:09a little late. My name is Brian with Allison. Yeah. Well I
- 3:15was just reaching for time my fake orange juice and well because it's it's like
- 3:20a it's like one of those low sugar drink mixes, and it was yeah,
- 3:27I was reaching for and then suddenly the show I'm like, oh my
- 3:30god, Okay, all right, no, yeah, it's just sorry.
- 3:35Yeah, this is uh well, I didn't want to keep people waiting for
- 3:37too long, so yeah, exactly, this is maintaining frame number ninety nine.
- 3:43We've almost done a hundred of these. Wow, you do something special
- 3:46for one hundred, like girls hate boys, women most affective, probably something
- 3:51about women being victims. I'm guessing. I'm just good, you know,
- 3:54just spitballing here, but I'm guessing the next show. I think it's going
- 3:59to be somewhere in that ballpark. If there's ever a feminist initiative that doesn't
- 4:04have women as victims. I think I will probably wonder if I've entered an
- 4:11alternative reality. Yeah, parallel universe. There is another you with a go
- 4:16tee yea evil spock, an evil well, I mean it's not really an
- 4:23evil, just a goateed like yeah, anyway, but yeah, tell us
- 4:30what what are we doing today? And then do the things or do the
- 4:33things I don't know whatever, or doer you want to do it. We'll
- 4:36figure it out. Okay, we'll do it live, all right. So
- 4:41first I want to go through some relevant data about hostile sexism among men and
- 4:46women, what it tends to be associated with, what kind of activities it
- 4:50tends to be associated with, and then we are going to discuss a new
- 4:57initiative in the UK to confront boys for their misogyn wire. You know,
- 5:04it's funny that you mentioned that because on the New Show yesterday, Australia is
- 5:10also doing an initiative. They've hired, or they've appointed, I mean people
- 5:15actually get hired when they work for the government. Someone was appointed to essentially
- 5:20do something to address the online misogyny problem of Australian boys. And it's at
- 5:27the same time that we are learning that the Department of Homeland Security is monitoring
- 5:32us. It's almost like there's some broader thing at play here, some broader
- 5:39energy. Yeah, the mercury and retrograde oh man, no, yeah,
- 5:46so they're also doing the same thing in the UK. It's interesting that you
- 5:48brought up Australia because apparently, and this came across my desk. Take it
- 5:55with a grain of salt, because it's basically a tweet. Apparently there are
- 5:59two women in Australia whose identities remain anonymous, because that's what you do when
- 6:03women are accused of sexual violence, who raped and abused eighty children. I
- 6:12think that's more more people than are killed in domestic violence in the in Australia
- 6:17in a year. And yet we know campaign to confront women on their behavior.
- 6:25Never a campaign to confront women on their behavior. You know, that's
- 6:29just just is not something that we do. So but so, like I
- 6:31said, we're going to go through some of the statistics. Some of these
- 6:34statistics were brought up on last Friday's show. We'll take a little bit more
- 6:40of an in depth look at them because they're really fascinating and it's really telling
- 6:46what feminists decide to focus on even when it comes to men. All right,
- 6:53so before we begin, I do want to tell everybody if you want
- 6:57to send us a message, if you have any questions at all about what
- 7:00we're talking about, if you want to send you want to tell us we're
- 7:02not screaming into the void with this information, please go to feed the Badger
- 7:06dot com slash just the tip and give us a tip and your message.
- 7:11We get the full benefit of whatever funds you send, and you get the
- 7:14full benefit of sending your comment in a path does that does not send it
- 7:19through YouTube's comment enhancement system. So feed the Badger dot com slash just the
- 7:25tip. If you're on Twitter, I don't think there is a way for
- 7:28you to send us a message like that. I don't think there's a Twitter
- 7:30chow or a Twitter No, there's no there's no Twitter monetize. Yeah sure,
- 7:35yeah, there's no mon so there's no way to do that. So
- 7:39if you are on Twitter, do please go to feed the Badger dot com
- 7:42slash just the tip and you know, help us out and send us a
- 7:46message. All right, So let's start with all right, let's put it
- 7:49on the screen. So we got this, Uh yeah, the first The
- 7:54first paper that I wanted to look at is uh and this is a segment
- 7:59from it if if you want to find it. It's called Gender Equality and
- 8:01Gender Hostility among University Students, a Multinational Analysis, and it's from two thousand
- 8:09and six. I wonder if the numbers have increased at this point, but
- 8:16okay, So it explains that seven point two percent of females and five percent
- 8:22of males agreed with four or five of the five gender hostility items. And
- 8:30it goes on to say that these are students who are more likely to sexually
- 8:33and physically aggress against dating partners and others. So the one of the reasons
- 8:39I want to bring this up is because hostile sexism in women is a predictor
- 8:46of women's sexual violence. So this isn't cute, It isn't retributive, like,
- 8:54it isn't a situation where oh, they get to do it because I
- 8:56don't know in the distant past, one hundred years ago, men tweaked their
- 9:01little toe or whatever the hell you know this is. This is something that
- 9:05has real world consequences to the men who engage with these women in real life.
- 9:11So I want people to start recognizing that hostile sexism towards men is harmful,
- 9:20right, and it causes harm, and it justifies harm, in particular
- 9:26harm in a sexually violent context. So we need to start recognizing that these
- 9:31these these for example, the feminists who come on Twitter and start having these
- 9:37really hostile attitudes towards men, are encouraging a culture that accepts and enables sexual
- 9:46abuse against men. Okay, so I'm not saying all women do this,
- 9:50and in fact, as we can see, you know, it's a minority
- 9:54of women who engage in this kind of behavior. I think for the most
- 9:56part, even the women who sort of passively agree with feminism probably don't agree
- 10:03with the extremely hostile components of feminism. And there are also women who are
- 10:07not feminists who have hostile attitudes towards men. So it's feminism seems to encourage
- 10:15this hostility, it seems to justify it more than encouraging it seems to justify
- 10:20it. So it gives a framework in which these hostile women have no expectation
- 10:26of overcoming and getting better and starting to take responsibility for their hostile sexism and
- 10:35removing it from their like just healing whatever they need to heal, you know.
- 10:41Dealing with whatever hanging up they have and stop being monumental assholes and potential
- 10:48sexual assaulters. Right. And the reason why, again, the reason why
- 10:52I'm bringing this up is that this isn't this is this is something that nobody
- 10:56seems to be ready to talk about and really is a serious issue. Women's
- 11:01hostile sexism has got to go. Okay, Yeah, there is absolutely no
- 11:07reason not to target it, not to recognize it, and not to get
- 11:11these women. Tell these women, this is not appropriate behavior. This is
- 11:16not something that is cute acceptable. But here's the problem. They have an
- 11:24entire ideological framework that justifies their hostile sexism through some of the thinnest and most
- 11:33illogical and irrational excuse making I had today. I was discussing this with someone
- 11:41on Twitter and she justified her current abuse of men and boys by saying,
- 11:48one hundred years ago they were that the people that she was abusing right now
- 11:54are engaging in sexism one hundred years ago. It's like, what are they
- 11:58Dracula for hundreds of years? No, there's no, they are not.
- 12:05They are not responsible for the behavior of men a hundred years ago. And
- 12:09if you are gonna make them responsible for the behavior of men one hundred years
- 12:13ago, then we have to have an honest look at the situation of men
- 12:16versus a situation of women now. One hundred years ago or one hundred and
- 12:20ten years ago, men were dying in a war that in many cases women
- 12:26shamed them into, in particular feminist women, and the White Feather Brigade White
- 12:33Feather Campaign was a feminist was definitely a feminist perpetuated, if not initiated,
- 12:39campaign of shaming men to go to war. So it's like, you gotta
- 12:43look at that certainly. I mean, if you just want to say,
- 12:46well, the past is the past, doesn't bear on the future, that's
- 12:50fine, or the current, that's fine. It's a perfectly acceptable position to
- 12:54take. But here's the position that I've seen feminist take when I call them
- 12:58out on their hostile sexism. Okay, in the past, men engaged,
- 13:03allegedly engaged in these behaviors that were oppressive towards women, and then I point
- 13:07out, well, what about all the sacrifices men had to make? And
- 13:11then they say, well, why are you bringing up the past because you're
- 13:16using it to justify learning men today like anyway, Okay, well, well,
- 13:22Okay, so I wanted to bring up the relative rates of hostile sexism.
- 13:28But there may be more current research into this, but this gives us
- 13:31a bit of a baseline. This was two thousand and six, so it's
- 13:35prior to social media. It may be that those numbers are quite a bit
- 13:39higher. Now, Yeah, I can imagine you want me to open up
- 13:43this, uh, this graph, this chart. Well, it's okay,
- 13:46I just want to I want to summarize this. So okay. Essentially,
- 13:50there are a bunch of other researchers who have been looking at a shift,
- 13:54a potential shift in millennial women's sexual behavior. In other words, millennial women
- 14:00are becoming more sexually abusive. That's that's the millennial shift. Now, they
- 14:05don't know if this is a genuine shift in behavior or a result of better
- 14:11reporting and a better awareness of women's sexual violence being a problem. Sorry,
- 14:20this is this particular subject. I have to remember to breathe. Yeah,
- 14:24this is this is this is my we what is the right word for it?
- 14:31This is the subject that really really bugs me. The fact that for
- 14:37just just to to explain feminist scholarship or feminist research into the subject of both
- 14:46like hostile sexism is one thing, but also sexual assault and domestic violence is
- 14:52done in the context of proving the feminist assertion that it is gendered, significantly
- 15:00gendered, and that men use it as a means to perpetuate patriarchal control.
- 15:07So they research this in order to prove their assertions about society, right,
- 15:15and through that process they essentially like anybody who's in like a non normative victim
- 15:20of sexual assault. That means male victims of women, not so much male
- 15:24victims of men. They'll allow that male victims of women, female victims of
- 15:30women, essentially female women victims of women. Basically, anybody who is in
- 15:35that category is specifically targeted for erasure by feminist academics researching the issue, right,
- 15:46And what they've been doing is they have been changing the survey instruments to
- 15:52try to minimize capture of female female or male victims of women or victims of
- 16:00women either they just call it something else besides rape. So if you're a
- 16:06woman who forces another woman to give her oral sex, or a woman who
- 16:10forces a man to penetrate her, that isn't that isn't rape. It's made
- 16:14to penetrate that kind of thing, And then recently, for example, that
- 16:18for the Center of Disease Controls National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, they
- 16:25have changed the cur how they have conduct the surveys and what they survey,
- 16:30so now now in order, and this is specifically to try to frame things
- 16:37as in a way that reduces male victimhood and increases female victimhood. So now
- 16:42they're adding intrusive questions about the effect of the abuse on people, and that's
- 16:51that's so that they can say because women tend to internalize this stuff more,
- 16:56they tend to be more willing to talk about negative effects of sexual abuse and
- 17:00domestic violence on themselves than men. That does not mean that men feel less
- 17:04effects. And if you actually actually look at objective measures like sleep disturbances,
- 17:10drug use, eating disturbances, UH disturbances, and going to school and work
- 17:17and h becoming institutionalized or home homeless, men actually suffer more from these from
- 17:23these experiences, but when you ask them to say if they suffer more,
- 17:27they don't say it. So these researchers are going beyond just asking people about
- 17:33incidents, demanding that they express how much they cause them to suffer. I
- 17:37mean, can you believe that you're asking a victim not only to not only
- 17:42to recall their victimhood, but then to recall how much it made them suffer.
- 17:48And what's what's really amazing is that when the CDC changed its methodology to
- 17:56start asking these more intrusive questions and adding victims to rate their suffering, the
- 18:03rate at which people responded to their surveys started to go down to the point
- 18:08where they had to stop surveying because they were getting respond response rates less than
- 18:15a third. But could you I mean, can you understand why? I
- 18:18mean, for the first year there was okay, the second year people were
- 18:19not responding. H It's hard enough to say, hey, this happened to
- 18:26me. But then when researchers start saying, but how bad was it?
- 18:30Really? How bad was can you rate it on a scale of one to
- 18:34you're a man's and you should shut up? Like And also the researchers were
- 18:38specifically trained by feminists. Who knows where that led. And then the other
- 18:42thing is another way that they managed to try to minimize male The effect of
- 18:48domestic violence and sexual assault on men is to make victims or survivors then explain
- 18:56how many times they were victimized, and this is what they've done in New
- 19:00Zealand. They're like, it's not just enough to say did this happen to
- 19:03you? Now? People who experience victimization get intrusive, picky questions like,
- 19:11well, how many times could you really think carefully about the last time you
- 19:17were beaten, last time you had a weapon used to No? No,
- 19:19yeah, I want you to visualize each and every incidence and give me an
- 19:23exact number, like and this is feminist initiatives. They have absolutely no respect
- 19:30for the people they're interviewing and it they're doing this because they're trying to cut
- 19:34things up finer and finer and finer to reduce the rate that men appear to
- 19:40be victims relative to women. So they're engaging in this intrusive questioning with a
- 19:47high probability of secondary victimization for the sole purpose of attempting to frame everything in
- 19:53such a way that men as victims are minimized, because men are less likely
- 19:59to say if a man is raped five times in the last year, he
- 20:04may only say that it would happen once, because they're less likely to reveal
- 20:10every incident, right m. This is something that is particular to men when
- 20:15they reveal traumatic incidents, they tend to minimize them. They tend to not
- 20:19remember the total number of incidents if they remember them at all, especially when
- 20:23it comes to long term lifetime stuff. But then also to add to that,
- 20:30making male victims or tell you how badly this affected them in order to
- 20:37recognize it as a problem. Well, again, men don't necessarily articulate their
- 20:42trauma in the same way women do. That doesn't mean they're not experiencing it,
- 20:47because again, those physical measures are there, so and they do.
- 20:51All feminists do all of this in order to frame men as the lesser victims
- 20:56because they know they're finding parity. They're finding parity sexual assault numbers, they're
- 21:00finding parody and domestic violence, so they need to start making these intrusive,
- 21:07traumatizing additional questions to try to force the narrative in the way that they want.
- 21:12And they don't care. They do not give a crap that this is
- 21:18Unlike, can you imagine somebody calls you up and starts talking about incidents of
- 21:25rape and sexual assaults you've experienced, and then when you say, yeah,
- 21:27yeah, that happened, they start like drilling down into that and like can
- 21:33you just give me an exact number. Can you rate, from a scale
- 21:37of one to ten how much it affected you emotionally? Like? Can you
- 21:41imagine that? And yet this is what they're doing. It's completely unactable,
- 21:47and they're doing it specifically to reduce the rate at which it appears that men
- 21:52are victims because they want to maintain this idea that men are using domestic violence
- 21:59and sexual assault in order to in order to maintain patriarchal control over women.
- 22:06That is a pillar of feminist theory or allegation about society. Sorry again,
- 22:14I need to take a breath because this really really hingers me. This whole
- 22:18idea that certain non normative victims of sexual assault and domestic violence are being made
- 22:23invisible because they don't fit an ideological lens or they don't support a particular political
- 22:32attitude towards society is just. And here's the thing. When we look at
- 22:40the rates of hostile sexism and among university students and feminist interventions to deal with
- 22:48hostile sexism, feminists don't intervene with extreme hostile sexists even though these are the
- 22:56ones who are engaging in sexual assault, and that's including men. So they
- 23:02ignore hostile sexism even in men, to focus on milder forms of sexism in
- 23:11the general male population. So they they you know, it's like that that
- 23:15sign where you know you have the person who can veer off the highway.
- 23:22You know you have a highway, so you have a highway sign that says
- 23:26reducing the rate at which women are sexually victimized, and then you have a
- 23:30detour. And feminists have taken the detour that is feminist control over the narrative
- 23:37and continuous justification for money. Yep, Like they have literally decided not to
- 23:45embrace interventions that reduce the rate at which women become victims. Let's just pretend
- 23:52we don't care about men, because you know they don't. They are literally
- 23:56choosing more female victims at the same time as everybody's saying, oh feminist,
- 24:03they speak for women, No they don't. They absolutely one don't. Well,
- 24:10I mean, if you have female victims, then you obviously have a
- 24:14need for more feminism. Yeah, because now there's more, so of course,
- 24:18like this is it's a win win for that, yes, And you
- 24:22know, I for the longest time I resisted this because I remember when Aaron
- 24:26Pizzy brought this kind of thing up that feminists took over these issues. They
- 24:32took them over in order to turn them into something that made money. And
- 24:36I thought, well, that seems a little conspiratorial. No, nope,
- 24:41And again this is this is the proof right in Gender equal Equity and Gender
- 24:45Hostility. I know it's a little bit coded in the final paragraph, but
- 24:49they are literally saying that feminists choose to focus on the least useful interventions in
- 24:56actually reducing rape in order to focus on something that gives them more control over
- 25:03the culture and the narrative of college campuses and more justification for spending money,
- 25:08because I mean, you know, if you actually target the people who are
- 25:11likely to sexually assault, you might actually reduce it, which means you might,
- 25:15you know, get less money the next time. You know, if
- 25:18you you know, if you reduce the rate at which people are being sexually
- 25:21assaulted on college campuses, how can you justify getting more money? Yep?
- 25:29Yep? All right? Is there another thing we should be looking at another?
- 25:36What do you want to look at the other or do you want to
- 25:37get into the articles or what? Well, actually, I just want to
- 25:41point out that's what's interesting to me is that we have a two thousand women's
- 25:47motives for sexual initiation and aggression. It is a like a two thousand or
- 25:52nineteen nineteen ninety eight study, but it found that let's see scroll down a
- 25:59bit more, scroll down just a bit more right here. Yeah, actually
- 26:03the it's cutting it off, but about nine percent of oh I bet this
- 26:07will open up in another Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, actually,
- 26:11yeah, so nine percent forced a partner to have sex using a weapon,
- 26:18nine percent, yeah, by threatening, with eight point nine percent at the
- 26:22bottom. Yeah, it's at the bottom, so they confess to using a
- 26:26weapon to force sex on a partner. Now, in a later survey from
- 26:33like twenty twenty, the number is about seven percent. But what interests me
- 26:37interests me is that is approximately the percentage of women with that was found to
- 26:42have hostile sexist attitudes towards men. Now, I'm just putting it out there.
- 26:48I don't know if there, I mean, there is a connection between
- 26:52hostile sexism and sexual assault among women. I don't know if all the women
- 26:59who are engaging in hostile sexism towards men have skeletons in their closet. But
- 27:04that does seem like quite the coincidence. The number of hostile female sexists almost
- 27:11equals the number of women using weapons to force sex. Weird coincidence, all
- 27:18right, Knowing this, knowing that hostile sexism in women is an indicator of
- 27:26sexual assault, and we should probably care about that because you know, I
- 27:30guess, I guess I can't say that we should probably care about that because
- 27:34people don't. But I think we should care about that. I think we
- 27:40should care about that, that hostile female female women who are hostilely sexist engaging
- 27:45in violence and sexual assault against men, and that we should care about that,
- 27:49and that that is important. Understanding that, understanding the prevalence of hostile
- 27:56sexism in women against men. You know, let's look at this UK initiative
- 28:03to target misogyny in boys. This one, yeah, yeah, that one.
- 28:11All right? So this is from Internetmatters dot org. What is misogyny?
- 28:19I you know what, I've never heard of this term. I am
- 28:22not familiar with with massauding. But before we get into that, I think
- 28:26I got a couple super childs I should probably take care of. So sorry
- 28:30about that, Alison, But Richard Bierre is sending us superchowd, so I
- 28:36got one from him for five dollars, and he says, two strong and
- 28:38independent women in Australia were victimized by eighty perpetrators. Their identities are kept anonymous
- 28:45by virtue of the fact that they are the victims of the story. The
- 28:48solution is more seminars to teach boys and adolescents males how to properly apply nail
- 28:53varnish to combat their toxic masculine. And then he sent another super chow and
- 29:00said for five dollars, it says, I wonder if these surveys were conducted
- 29:03the same way that Indian telemarketing call centers operate. The person who calls you
- 29:08to determine if you qualify then transfers to the senior supervisor, who asks the
- 29:12exact same questions all over again. Transfer you to the verification officer, who
- 29:18does the exact same series of questions to inform you that the person who actually
- 29:22is behind the product or service will call you back in two or three business
- 29:26days. All right, well, thank you for all of that, Richard.
- 29:30Okay, sorry, Alison, I just wanted to get those because they
- 29:32sent them through. I want to read them before they disappear. So all
- 29:34right, Alison, you're muted. For some reason. Yeah, I'm muted
- 29:40because I don't want to Oh, okay, okay, yeah. This this,
- 29:45this whole thing that feminists are doing is they're forcing men to or male
- 29:52victims, mail survivors, victims, whatever, however you want to determin it.
- 29:56Men who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assaul particularly by a woman,
- 30:00they are forcing them to jump through more and more and more hoops, knowing
- 30:06that it's hard enough for a man to say yes when somebody asks him,
- 30:11have you been raped? Or have you experienced force sex? So they know,
- 30:17they know that they're creating this obstacle course of attrition in order to reduce
- 30:21the rate at or to reduce the perception of male victimhood. And it's actually
- 30:26despicable and I'm in I'm like, I'm currently in an argument with someone who's
- 30:30insisting I'm refusing to see that feminists are doing this. And feminist analysis of
- 30:37these issues is that they are gendered and that men use sexual assault and domestic
- 30:41violence as a means to enact patriarchal control against women. That is the feminist
- 30:49analysis of these issues. I mean, there may be subparts, but they
- 30:53all go back to that. Domestic violence and sexual assault is gendered, men
- 30:59use it against women. They all come back to that, all right,
- 31:03yep, okay, let's let's let's let's see. Let's see what they have
- 31:07to say about misogyny. What they really care about. These are those initiatives
- 31:11that I mentioned before. Instead of targeting hostile sexism, they target the sexism
- 31:18that isn't consistent with really anything, It doesn't really predict much of anything.
- 31:22They target cat turd saying repeal the nineteenth Yes, yes, exactly, yeah,
- 31:30exactly, guys, the young guys being edgy online is basically killing women.
- 31:37Yeah. And and instead of targeting the Andrew Andrea dorkinites who have absolutely
- 31:45horrific takes and hostile sexism towards men, you know, they don't target them.
- 31:51And then you know what, they don't even target the guys who are
- 31:52really hostily sexist against women, because in part, that would mean it wouldn't
- 31:57be a consciousness raising like it wouldn't be like Glee cub Glee club bullshit that
- 32:04you can just get, you can just justify year after year because it doesn't
- 32:07do anything. It would actually be targeted interventions. It would be therapy.
- 32:12It would be i don't know, just shelters. Yeah, that's the other
- 32:19thing. The other thing is why are they also target the lead like the
- 32:22like men on college campuses are less hostily sexist than women, and yet they
- 32:28target the men. Maybe the men are hostilely sexist in response to the women.
- 32:34You know. Yeah, but regardless, that's what you should be targeting,
- 32:38male or female. That you should be used. You should have specific
- 32:43targeted efforts towards reducing the rates of extreme hostile sexism if you want to move
- 32:49the needle with domestic violence or sexual assault period. But instead they're doing this
- 32:53like they're they're targeting, like you said, cat turds saying repeal the nineteenth
- 32:59Yeah, and alas being edgy. Yeah, let's find out this guy's saying
- 33:04make me a sandwich or go go back to the kitchen like that. Like
- 33:08that's that's what we have to like spend you know, hundreds of thousands of
- 33:14taxpayer dollars to address because a woman was had her feelings hurt by a guy
- 33:19who who could be like a thirteen year old kid with a phone. That's
- 33:24just like I remember a while ago there was this one feminist man. It
- 33:30was years ago, but she was. I think it was Jess Phillips,
- 33:36who was, uh we're talking about essentially a member of parliament, Yeah,
- 33:43and send uh Sargon. No, no, it wasn't Sargon. It wasn't
- 33:45Sargon. It was but I think it was. Oh no, no it
- 33:49was. It was actually Clementine Ford. It was Clementine Ford. And she
- 33:52was she like posted an argument she had in her DMS with literally a teenage
- 34:00boy who was just calling her names and saying that she's lame and ugly and
- 34:05fat, and that was like and that was like her call to action.
- 34:07Look at this teenage boy essentially behaving like a kid in a call of duty
- 34:13lobby at me and I and and we read it. I remember we read
- 34:16through the things because the boy was like so he was so hilarious and it
- 34:22was so funny that she was so upset. But anyway, Yeah, I
- 34:24mean basically, if you if you if you trivialize feminists like like they're you
- 34:32know, they're there there, I don't know, work or whatever, if
- 34:36you yeah, their beliefs, if you make fun of them, then they
- 34:38will turn it into like a massive deal a campaign. Yeah, and they'll
- 34:44raise like shit tons of money, you know, yeah, and they'll do
- 34:45all of that while ignoring the extreme hostile sex like gg I know they're going
- 34:52to ignore extreme hostile sexism and women, but they're going to ignore extreme hostile
- 34:55sexism in men. And again, it's because it doesn't give the the ability
- 35:00to control the overall narrative. It calls for specific interventions for for both men
- 35:07and women. It probably call like some kind of therapeutic intervention to get over
- 35:10whatever abuse that they themselves have suffered, right, so that that that's not
- 35:15something that really feminism is about. Feminism is about being able to control speech,
- 35:21being able to control like, being able to control behavior like what most
- 35:28people would consider an ocuous behavior, and being able to shame people. That's
- 35:32what they're about. And literally, once again that image of the the the
- 35:39highway, and you can see the sign that says, yeah, reducing the
- 35:45rate on the highway. It says reducing the rate at which women get raped
- 35:51by by targeting hostile sexism. And you could also be reducing the rate at
- 35:57which men get raped by targeting hostile sexism and women. And but but feminists
- 36:01are going on the off ramp, are drifting into the off ramp. Yep,
- 36:06towards cat Dirt says something edgy on the internet. Yep, exactly that
- 36:10that's gotta be addressed. Okay, all right, So what is misogyny?
- 36:16Prevent and tackle hate online against girls. Misogyny is a form of online hate
- 36:22that wait, I thought, so the so does that mean that if you're
- 36:27not online you can't be misogynists? Okay, all right, all right,
- 36:34misogyny is now I know what to do when I really want to, like
- 36:37just say what I think about women, I'm just gonna log out and I'm
- 36:39gonna go out under the street. So anyway, misogyny is a form of
- 36:44online hate that targets women and girls. It's promoted in different communities online where
- 36:49influencers promote a narrative that women should be treated as less than men. Explore
- 36:54where misogyny is introduced to young people online and the effective actions you can take
- 37:00challenge these ideas with this guy. So there's a guy. Episode is a
- 37:06form of online hate. So is there any other or there's so there's a
- 37:12button it says tips talk about misogyny. Then there's see research and there's a
- 37:15video. You want to look at this video. I'm kind of curious if
- 37:19it's short, we'll see. I don't know how it's one it's one minute
- 37:22long. Yeah, this will be fun mate, Yeah, this is gonna
- 37:28be I'm I'm bracing my spine. Okay, careful, watch out, guys.
- 37:35Quick tips for parents and terrors. What is massady? Is? This
- 37:38is gonna be the same thing reiterated. You can't hear it. Misogyny is
- 37:43the hate of girls and women. It spreads online in different communities and on
- 37:46social media. But there are things you can do to tackle this online hate.
- 37:52There's just music. It's okay, talk about it. That is okay.
- 37:59I'm just pausing just in case. Ye beardy man, old old wise
- 38:02beardy hipster guy. And the funny thing is is they say that this is
- 38:08this is like a it's a framework that makes women less than men. But
- 38:15what do we have here? We have old wise beardy man saving a girl
- 38:20from misogyny because yes, of course she can't do it. She can't do
- 38:24it. She doesn't. Damsel's like she's looking at her phone like, oh
- 38:30my god, he's killing me. I've been shot, oh man, like
- 38:37serious, But this entire framework is that men have to save women. Are
- 38:44girls from this? Yeah? And it's like, okay, so again we
- 38:49know that hostile sexism is more prevalent among girls, and yet boys don't need
- 38:55to be saved from that. And they're gonna know, they're going to see
- 39:00the girls around them engaging in hostile sexism and nobody calling them out for it,
- 39:06and them having to suck it up when they experience it from girls,
- 39:10and they their their behavior is held to a higher standard than the girls around
- 39:15them. What is that but presenting girls as lesser, more defined by their
- 39:22victimhood. And you know, the funny thing is is they talk about,
- 39:27oh oh, women aren't achieving. Well, I mean, let's set aside
- 39:30biological factors. Don't you think creating an atmosphere where you present girl's behavior as
- 39:37less meaningful or impactful girls decisions to be hostily sexist as less meaningful and impactful
- 39:46than boys, you know, behavior, You don't think that creates the very
- 39:51circumstance that leads girls to think that their actions and behaviors are less have a
- 39:58less are less meaningful in the great your world like you're constructing this, You're
- 40:02constructing this entire framework that women are lesser or girls are lesser by treating their
- 40:08hostile sexism as less important than boys. By holding them to a lower moral
- 40:14standard, you are telling them that they are lower. I mean, you're
- 40:17not telling them, you are demonstrating it. Yeah, you know what,
- 40:22It's a lot more meaningful when somebody says I'm a peaceful person while they're punching
- 40:28you in the face. They're saying one thing and they're demonstrating another. Which
- 40:32do you think is more accurate to reality? Mm hmm, okay, all
- 40:39right, let's play some more so talk about it. By the way,
- 40:44can I just say that I hate this like corporate art that that seems to
- 40:47be so prevalent these days. It's like the kind of stuff you see in
- 40:52a bank or like a grocery store. Yeah, yeah, go ahead,
- 40:59I'm sorry. Keep talking about misogyny and online. Hey, even when the
- 41:02news isn't what the When the news isn't what talking about misogyny and online?
- 41:09When is that happening? Like the news is always talking about that? Are
- 41:14you kidding me? Just go to the Guardian any day of the week.
- 41:17Keep enforcing the role of victim onto your daughters. Yeah, make sure that
- 41:22they live in perpetual state of fear. Yeah, perpetual they'll let them ever
- 41:27escape from the misogyny. I mean, if she even has a single moment
- 41:30where she's feeling comfortable in herself and thinking about what kinds of things she can
- 41:35achieve in the future, you grab that, you grab whatever, that textbook
- 41:39away from her, and you say it's time for you to think about misogyny
- 41:43again, Little Susie, don't forget you're a victim. Like yes, sick,
- 41:50It's about having a conversation about having a conversation, So tackle the tough
- 41:54topics before they find out somewhere else has to tell you what they know.
- 42:00Make these conversations a normal part of everyday life. Are you trying to inculcate
- 42:07paranoia? Yeah, I understand the pressure. Is this a boy like resistance,
- 42:12Yes, a boy to tell to tell a woman to make him a
- 42:15sandwich or sew him, sew him some new socks, or something like nit
- 42:20me some socks. Pressures from social media, friends, and society could impact
- 42:27their thoughts and actions. Discuss how their friends might impact their actions. Boy,
- 42:30that's really going really quick from the boys end. Yeah, I know.
- 42:35Work together to set boundaries, show them how and when to see support.
- 42:39Okay, challenge the narrative. Again, girls or at least college aged
- 42:47women, demonstrate more hostile sexism than men. Okay, we're just pretending that
- 42:54doesn't happen, Like don't you think that that might? Yes, they are
- 42:59sexes and boys. The fact that you are holding them to a higher standard
- 43:04and expecting them to swallow the same behavior from women or women and girls directed
- 43:08at them, you don't think that makes resent That creates resentiment, Like why
- 43:14are you doing this? I know why you're doing this. You want to
- 43:19inculcate boys with this role of victimizer, and you want to inculcate girls with
- 43:23this role of a victim And somebody we act. Recently, there was someone
- 43:30on Twitter. I know, Twitter's like my brain space that probably says something
- 43:34very bad about me. But they pointed out that you can't say that a
- 43:39woman is a woman because she has a vagina. She can't say that a
- 43:43woman is a woman because she has a uterus or breasts. You can't say
- 43:45a woman is a woman because she has X Y chromosomes or sorry, xx
- 43:50chromosomes. You can't say a woman is a woman because she wears dresses or
- 43:54makeup. You can't say a woman is a woman because she's feminine. The
- 43:59only thing you can say say makes a woman is being oppressed. That is
- 44:07the feature, yeah, by men. That is the one feature that women
- 44:12have. That's the one thing that that's left to them is to be to
- 44:19just be something that that that men write their actions on. Mm hmm.
- 44:23That's it. That's so, it's like, that's horrified. It's so horrifying
- 44:29you almost can't wrap your mind around it. Yep. And and then the
- 44:34people who do this, the people who essentially promote this in children, they
- 44:39think they're doing the right thing. I little little Susie, don't you know
- 44:47that nothing defines you as a woman except your victimhood? Yeah, of course.
- 44:55And your response to your victimhood is to become the worst stereotypical version of
- 45:02masculinity that we can vomit up. You know, response to being a victim
- 45:08because you're a woman is to turn it into gilgemish before inka do. Okay,
- 45:14Yeah, all right, let's play the rest of this. Yeah,
- 45:17challenge a narrative. People who promote misogyny prepare their followers for rejection. Challenge
- 45:27this. Instead, instead of telling a child these ideas are wrong, ask
- 45:31them to talk about their beliefs, ask critical thinking question in a calm and
- 45:36positive Oh oh, I see what they're saying. We promote the fact that
- 45:43well, yeah, okay, all right. I think that they're basically targeting
- 45:45people like us. Okay, this is what If you are a young man
- 45:50listening to this, just ask them why they aren't addressing hostile sexism and girls?
- 45:58Why are you being held to a moral standard? And then why are
- 46:01they saying blame pointing fingers at everyone else about treating women as lesser when they're
- 46:07holding women to a lower moral standard, Like what is that but treating women
- 46:14as lesser? Because this is exactly what they're doing. It is Yes,
- 46:17they're holding women to a lower moral standard. They're ignoring women's behavior towards men
- 46:23and boys to focus on men and boys behavior without considering the impact of women
- 46:31and girls behavior. And that is actually the behavior of people with an unexamined
- 46:37expectation that women's actions don't matter like this, this is saturated in the idea
- 46:44that women are defined by being victims and that their actions don't matter. If
- 46:47you don't recognize that women's actions matter when they are when they are directed against
- 46:54men and boys, you don't recognize that women's actions matter at all, because
- 46:59who are are the people who are not women? They are men and boys.
- 47:04So where is the worth of women's actions supposed to come from except from
- 47:08the people who are not women. And when you create this framework in which
- 47:13women's actions are less morally important than men and boys, you create the framework
- 47:19in which women, on a fundamental level see themselves as less impactful on the
- 47:23greater world. And that attitude leads to self selecting out of all kinds of
- 47:30things, right and especially a happy life. Yeah, so you know,
- 47:37you, guys, you are perpetuating the very thing you call out in others
- 47:42and then you blame the internet for it. Okay, all right, By
- 47:49the rest is get more advice the tackle misogyny and other online issues at Internet
- 47:58matters dot org. Well, thank you, Internet matters at org, which
- 48:00is where we are. Yeah, you are in what is massaging? And
- 48:06there's like sections missogyny from influencers, Because I'm pretty sure that's oh yeah,
- 48:10misogyny from influencers. Let's see research into massages. Shut up, how one
- 48:16dad deals with misogyny content Teen boys consume James Coomber unfortunate name of Wiltshire lives
- 48:27with his wife and their two teenage sons. He worries about the misogynistic content
- 48:31teen boys stupid case study that they invented. Oh is this not a real
- 48:37person? No, I guarantee it isn't see how James deals with missogy that
- 48:43comes from popular online influence and celebrities. Should I scroll down? Where does?
- 48:46Where does misogyny content come from? James struck a case study with a
- 48:52person so you can relate to it more. But oh, this is just
- 48:55invented ful. Oh my god, I already know where this is going.
- 49:00I already know there's a complete lack of any kind of concrete details. Well
- 49:04let's find okay, all right, So James and his wife this is like
- 49:07being told as a story because you know, we're all five now. When
- 49:12it comes to dealing with like actual adult shit, James and his wife are
- 49:16increasing This is effected that men and women dealing with children. So you're right,
- 49:21You're absolutely right. They're treating the parents of children like children. Yeah,
- 49:28so James and his wife are increasingly concerned about misogynistic content online, especially
- 49:32in recent years. Yes, massogy noir. Much of this misogynistic content comes
- 49:38from well known influencers and celebrities on social media where his teen boys see it,
- 49:44says James, quote, I've come across various examples, from Andrew Tate
- 49:51to Donald Trump, of course, and Jeremy Clarkson. I don't know who
- 49:55Jeremy Clarkson is, but I want to. I want to find out now
- 49:58because I probably should be. Let me just see, he says. When
- 50:04these stories hit the news, James talks to his sons and is careful to
- 50:07make sure that they feel able to share their own perspective. When we first
- 50:12talked about Jeremy Clarkson's comments about Megan Markle, okay, there was something to
- 50:16do this, like, I just want to intervene here. If you are
- 50:20a young man and your parents do this, don't bring up these these online.
- 50:24Oh, Jeremy Clarkson is the guy from that the specific incidences that you
- 50:30have experienced where your feelings and have been dismissed, where you have experienced bullying
- 50:38by girls, where you have experienced negative emotional reactions to narratives of male blame,
- 50:46like bring up your experiences. Yeah, don't bring up these these influencers.
- 50:52I know there's a tendency to just do her mentality, bring up your
- 50:57personal experiences and you tell them. You keep asking why aren't you dealing with
- 51:01this? Why aren't you dealing with my experiencing of bullying? Why aren't you
- 51:07dealing with my experiencing experience of ball tapping in school and not having the girls
- 51:13be actually punished for a violent sexual assault. Why aren't you dealing with my
- 51:16experience that I'm expected to take it when a girl wails on me. Why
- 51:21aren't you dealing with my experience that you know my feminist teacher marked me lower
- 51:25for better work than female students. Keep it to specific situations where you have
- 51:32experienced an imposition on your person, and keep them. Keep them to this
- 51:38because you have a right to be considered as much of a human being as
- 51:44any woman or girl right, and their actions towards you should also be judged
- 51:52based on whether or not they are hostiley, sexist, disenfranchising, or chauvinistic.
- 51:59You absolutely have a right to be treated like a human being, full
- 52:05stop. Yeah. Yeah. So. Jeremy Clarkson is the guy from top
- 52:08Gear, and he was on a show called Clarkson's Farm actually that I got
- 52:14into, sorry, hold on Clarkson's Farm, which is the show I got
- 52:20into for a minute. Uh okay, anyway, so I guess he said
- 52:23something about Megan Markle. Okay, is she does she make it? Is
- 52:29she still with us? I can't believe this, Like, oh my god,
- 52:32a celebrity said something mean about another celebrity. We should all be concerned,
- 52:38all right. When we first talked about Jeremy Clarkson's comments about Megan Markle,
- 52:44there was some disagreement to begin with. His sons are both big fans
- 52:47of top Gear and Grant Tour. They and they found it hard to accept
- 52:51that someone they followed, had and watched for years, had made such a
- 52:54derogatory comment. He says. Initially they tried to justify the comments, but
- 53:00this was their hero worship rather than because they agreed with what he said.
- 53:04See I don't know what he said, but I would have just said I
- 53:06agree, fuck it. So okay. So there's this anecdote that they're using
- 53:15to make a broader statement. And again it's completely like on its own,
- 53:19it's an orphaned situation. There is no conversation about the reverse whatever. What
- 53:25role does celebrity play in misogyny online? James often worries about the role celebrities
- 53:31play in shaping the attitudes of the teenage boys who admire and follow them.
- 53:36It's fairly easy to discuss why something is inappropriate when it's a big media story,
- 53:40he says. But what's more concerning to me is the number of celebrities
- 53:44we use the Internet to regularly make more minor in the eyes of the media,
- 53:49comments that aren't picked up or discussed in mainstream media. The statements are
- 53:52designed to be funny or banter, but their sexist and bullying behavior. This
- 53:58drip of sexism tends to be brushed over by the media in favor or of
- 54:02more shocking I guess it, says or but I think they mean of somebody
- 54:07paid someone to write this. I just want to point it out of more
- 54:10shocking or controversial stories that drive What are examples of this? I don't know.
- 54:16Let's see, because we went through a whole bunch of times where feminists
- 54:22would construct a boogeyman out of basically nothing, just emotional impressions. Yeah,
- 54:29this sounds like this, but okay, well, yeah, I don't I
- 54:32don't think that. I don't see is there a place where can find examples
- 54:36because they're just they're just yeah, I'll keep going, Yeah, keep going.
- 54:39Uh, James, this is the guy, so he is a real
- 54:43person? Yeah bullshit? Probably AI Yeah right, deep bake. How can
- 54:47you challenge accept as of misogynists the views. Both boys are keen users of
- 54:52social media, and James encourages them to never take statements that look like facts
- 54:55at face value. It's so easy to make statements on line that look like
- 55:00facts. But I've lost count of the number of times one of my sons
- 55:04has told us something as fact, but when we ask where the information is
- 55:07from, it turns out to be TikTok. We always advise them look up
- 55:12things on known websites such as the BBC or other reputable news outlets, rather
- 55:16than trust social media sites. So there's your problem, right there? Are
- 55:24you kidding me? Dude? On ever, any part of the spectrum,
- 55:30go to the original studies and look at them yourself. Make sure to look
- 55:34at their methodology. Make sure to look at if it's a self selecting sample.
- 55:38So if a feminist shows you domestic violence study which is based on women
- 55:43in a in a woman's shelter, that is not it's whatever finding that they
- 55:47had is not extract is not cannot be extrapolated to the general population much of
- 55:54not even of the general population of women who experienced domestic violence. Okay,
- 55:59so you always look at the studies, look at these sources. If it's
- 56:05not published in like pub or it's not available through PubMed or research gate or
- 56:12all an actual genuine place where they consolidate, like academic article, our journals,
- 56:20or our studies, don't don't. I never go by the newspaper unless
- 56:25I've looked at the studies that it's summarizing in the article, and I know
- 56:30that they're been accurately summarized by that news news article. Otherwise, Yeah,
- 56:36what I mean directly to the studies referenced. Never trust the news summaries of
- 56:42studies. Never. Yeah, but I don't even think this is about studies
- 56:45saying statements that look like facts. So what this is is simply an appeal
- 56:51to the cathedral. They're saying, listen to what the media says, period.
- 56:57But he's saying if it's not coming from the media or an act academic
- 57:00or an intellectual or a politician, then it's probably not true. And the
- 57:05thing the thing is too is that even academic studies should be taken with a
- 57:08gigantic rate of salt, because yeah, so you have to look at yeah,
- 57:13exactly. But but I don't even think I don't think teenage boys are
- 57:15looking at studies. I think they're like on TikTok and they're getting information and
- 57:21there are there are a lot of people on TikTok sharing information and sure,
- 57:24you know you should probably be challenging it. But this this bother, I
- 57:30guess, is just saying don't listen to any of them unless they're saying the
- 57:35approved things, Like that's it, Like it's all about what's the approved narrative,
- 57:38Because I bet if it was like some influencer. There's plenty of influencers
- 57:42on social media that are literally paid by the government to spread their information.
- 57:47And if that was the influencer that his kids watched, he probably say,
- 57:51yeah, that sounds good. They probably got that from BBC, ABC,
- 57:54CBS, MSNBC, CNN, whatever, and that makes it okay, Harvard
- 58:00Yale, you know. So anyway, I mean, like trust the media
- 58:06is already a fail in my opinion, big l from whoever this guy is?
- 58:10This guy anyway, James says that the online environment can create a culture
- 58:15where teens see misogynistic behavior as acceptable. If it's okay for celebrities and politicians
- 58:21to make these comments unchallenged in the media, then surely they must be acceptable
- 58:25for teenagers to make. Remember when he says celebrities and politicians, he means
- 58:30celebrities and politicians that he doesn't like, not because they might actually say something
- 58:36wrong, but because he doesn't like them and he was told not to like
- 58:39them by the media, celebrities and other politicians. I got a super chow
- 58:45from the one good man for five bucks, thank you, And he says
- 58:50for five bucks. Feminists all say all men are walking abortions and also shout
- 58:54their abortions. Therefore, feminists do not hate men. Checkmate, He's joking,
- 59:00okay. So as teenagers, the boys also worry about the growing negativity
- 59:07towards young men in the media and worry that online misogyny means men are tarred
- 59:12with the same brush unfairly. Well no, they're like, yeah, we
- 59:16we we live in a misinterest like straight up missingers culture, and if your
- 59:21boys are noticing it, they're right too. So what are you gonna do.
- 59:24You're gonna blame, You're gonna You're gonna fret about this. It sounds
- 59:28like what he's saying is is that worrying about online misogyny means that their boys
- 59:36will be tarred with the same brush because there is a growing negativity towards young
- 59:42men. Sounds like mystery should probably be addressed. Yeah yeah, I mean,
- 59:49like, if your sons are worried that women hate them, it's because
- 59:53the the media is saying that men suck. So but what they're saying is
- 1:00:00that they want to control the misogyny of other boys because that makes them seen
- 1:00:05as good men as well. You know, I'm not people oh you see
- 1:00:08with them? Yeah yeah, yeah, all that matters. And again,
- 1:00:13once again, the states the stats show that female hostile sexism is a bigger
- 1:00:16problem than male hostile sexism, which is amazing when you think about it.
- 1:00:21We live in a patriarchy that judges women by how well they benefit men,
- 1:00:24and yet hostile sexism against men is a bigger problem. I mean, it
- 1:00:29makes perfect sense to me, Like, you basically tell one sex that any
- 1:00:32anger, resentment, envy, or hostility that they feel towards the other sex
- 1:00:37is not just okay, it's not just permissible, it is encouraged. Then
- 1:00:42you're gonna get more of that, and then you discourage it in men as
- 1:00:45much as possible. Then that even a man who admires a woman secretly hates
- 1:00:51her, then you're gonna get less of that. Like they're creating the conditions
- 1:00:55for these arguments. They don't even consider like hostile sexes and women to be
- 1:01:00acceptable, women and girls to be acceptable. They apparently think it's justification.
- 1:01:06Yeah, like it justifies itself identification for seeing the world as hateful towards women
- 1:01:14and girls. So instead of saying, actually, I think you are sexist
- 1:01:16towards men because you think you are blaming them for the world and you think
- 1:01:21that they are against you. Instead of saying that, we say, no,
- 1:01:23you're absolutely right, little Susie. The world is against you and men
- 1:01:29hate you. Why don't you lop off your breast and become one so you
- 1:01:30can enjoy that sweet, sweet, sweet male privilege. I can't, Actually,
- 1:01:35you know, I've made that prediction, Like I guess six years ago
- 1:01:39now that this entire narrative around, this entire feminist narrative, would lead young
- 1:01:45women to identify as men unwittingly believing that that will improve their lot in life,
- 1:01:53and that seems to have actually happened. You know, when I make
- 1:01:58these predictions, I just do it because I'm like, Okay, well,
- 1:02:00this is a thing that's occurring. What are the likely outcomes of it?
- 1:02:04When it meets like this is an input into the system, what are the
- 1:02:07likely output? What is the likely cause on that system? And then I
- 1:02:10just run my little equation in my little brain pan and I come out with
- 1:02:14something like that. And when I come out with I'm like, Eh,
- 1:02:17is there really something that's gonna But I report on it, I'm like,
- 1:02:21yeah, I think this is something that could happen. But in the back
- 1:02:22of my head, I'm like, really, are women really going to identify
- 1:02:27as men because they actually buy into feminist rhetoric. Well, it's in the
- 1:02:36trans thing is blowing up, and more and more women are identifying as boys.
- 1:02:42Well girls are identifying as boys. Yeah, among women it's like twenty
- 1:02:46percent, which is crazy. But if you understand that it looks really appealing
- 1:02:52to be a man because of everything that women are told about men and the
- 1:02:55way that our anxiety is far, then it shouldn't be wonder that they're all
- 1:03:00suddenly discovering or at least really strongly desiring to become Yes, yeah, And
- 1:03:07I don't think it was blown up when I mentioned when I said this,
- 1:03:10Like when I first said this, I think people were like nah, no,
- 1:03:15mm hm. And yet then it blew up like crazy, like the
- 1:03:22lid just blew off something in the nineteen twenty something something happened and the lid
- 1:03:28came off the crazy yep, oh yeah, let's keep going all right?
- 1:03:31So what can parents do to challenge misogyny? In light of these challenges,
- 1:03:38James says he speaks regularly with his boys and offers this advice to other parents.
- 1:03:44If a comment is funny or provocative, invite teenagers to consider how they
- 1:03:47would feel if it was made towards a woman they know and like, okay,
- 1:03:52and you never like, listen, do any of these parents ever stet
- 1:03:59their tear teen age girl aside and say? How would you like to be
- 1:04:02compared to a predatory animal? Right? That's not even funny or provocative,
- 1:04:09it's dehumanizing. How would you like to be compared to a predatory and unfavorably
- 1:04:14and favorably towards a predatory animal? How would you like to be subject to
- 1:04:18a threat? Narrative? In which you are seen solely as a rapist.
- 1:04:23You know. Actually, I've found out that women don't like that. They
- 1:04:27always do not mind. Yeah, I've been bringing up this whole hostile sexism
- 1:04:30and its correlation with sexual assault to women who are just displaying hostile sexism and
- 1:04:35my tweeters, and they don't like that. They really do not like it
- 1:04:42implied that they engage in sexual assault. They just really hate that. They're
- 1:04:46like, that's very hurtful. It's a false accusation. I'm like, oh
- 1:04:49no, and I'm not even I'm not even applying that they are the ones
- 1:04:53doing And I'm saying that your hostile attitude correlates with being a sexual assaulter.
- 1:04:58And they don't like that. And yet none of these parents take their teenage
- 1:05:03girls aside and say, hey, hey, maybe comparing boys to a violent
- 1:05:10predator not helpful, not nice, sort of hostilely sexist. Hey, but
- 1:05:18they don't they expect boys to swallow this crap and turn and still be angels.
- 1:05:28Yeah, and not only not only be angels while being said that they
- 1:05:33are the devil. Like, that's what's astounding about this. They are these
- 1:05:39people. Okay, girls have more hostile sexism. Boys have less. Girls
- 1:05:45feel free to express their hostile sexism towards boys. Boys have to zip it
- 1:05:50up. They can't, they can't rejoin because that's that's horrible. So girls
- 1:05:55are free to do this. Boys have to swallow it. They have to
- 1:06:00turn they have to act like angels, they have to turn the other cheek,
- 1:06:04like like they are morally superior to girls. Well, they're certainly held
- 1:06:09to a higher moral standard. And at the same time as they are expected
- 1:06:13to turn the other cheek, they are expected to tolerate a disparagement that they
- 1:06:19are the problem, that they're ones who are the problem. It's an awful
- 1:06:25lot of emotional baggage you're shoving on your sons. Yeah, you know,
- 1:06:31and honestly, just laugh at it if it's funny. Look, I'm a
- 1:06:38woman. I know we have foibles, Like I know, we have weird
- 1:06:43ways of thinking. So to men in their in they have their own particular
- 1:06:47processes that can be considered amusing and irrational. So what have a laugh,
- 1:06:54Get over it, move on. It's part about it's part of dealing with
- 1:06:58people who are different. Yeah, okay, So back to the sources.
- 1:07:04So there is some interesting stuff here. That could be fun. I don't
- 1:07:10know, Okay, I want to do that. So we have because like
- 1:07:14all this stuff is stuff that we've heard before, like oh, how do
- 1:07:17you confront your kids? Et cetera. So there's they have advice broken down
- 1:07:21into age groups. Six years old. Imagine cornering your six year old so
- 1:07:28he's not sexist towards girls. Sounds this is all you know what this is.
- 1:07:31This is all struggle session stuff like this is what you should do,
- 1:07:34right, but but your son, yeah, how to abuse? How does
- 1:07:39psychologically torture your son to essentially keep him in line for the cause? Right?
- 1:07:45But there is there is this. So firstly we have your support on
- 1:07:48site. What is the manisphere and why is it a concern? Then we
- 1:07:53have this breaking down Gender Stereotypes quiz, which is a quiz you can actually
- 1:07:58play and I'm gonna put it on screen here and show you bringing down gender
- 1:08:02stereotypes online. Take this short quiz with your child to help them recognize how
- 1:08:06gender stereotypes can impact them in online spaces and encourage them to respect and celebrate
- 1:08:13differences. And you can actually do two players if you want. And they
- 1:08:19have questions of different age groups. So I don't know something that we could
- 1:08:25do if you wanted to. And then this is I'll share this one.
- 1:08:28This is the What is the manisphere and why is it a concern? By
- 1:08:30Jessica Aston, who looks totally chill and I feel like I've seen this before,
- 1:08:36this image. I think this is used by was it Mel? Or
- 1:08:41No? Was it that? Was it that? This this image I know
- 1:08:45we've used seen this before. It was either mel magazine the man with barbed
- 1:08:53wire around him? What do you want to do? Okay, no,
- 1:08:56let's look at this. Let's look at this. Don't want to do all
- 1:08:59of them? Yeah, le's look at jams. Jessica Aniston Eiston Aiston.
- 1:09:03All right, So what is the manisphere and why is it a concern?
- 1:09:08By Jessica Ayston Eiston PhD candidates so not actually a doctor, she is a
- 1:09:15She is in college for her PhD, an associate lecturer in the Department of
- 1:09:19Linguistics and English Language, which is totally about gender at Lancaster University or PhD
- 1:09:27research investigates online misogyny and anti feminism in the manisphere. Jessica is a member
- 1:09:32of the Mantrap Research Project. Oh that's an interesting name for a research project.
- 1:09:39I will put that there and look into it later. Okay. The
- 1:09:45man Trap Research project at Lancaster University explores misogyny and anti feminist language found in
- 1:09:49male dominated the communities on various social media platforms. DHD candidate Jessica Eisten describes
- 1:09:57the impact of these communities on young people and their int safety. Because we
- 1:10:00all know the internet is so dangerous, what is the Manisphere? The Manisphere
- 1:10:05is a network of online men's communities against the empowerment of women and who promote
- 1:10:13the anti feminists and sexist belief Again, I just want to point out the
- 1:10:16only, the only legitimate trait that we can say is feminine and female and
- 1:10:25women at this point is victimhood. Mm hm, the empowerment of women.
- 1:10:30You guys are empowering women? Are you? Like you say? Like?
- 1:10:36They constantly say this. It's almost like they're lying. Almost all right,
- 1:10:45I got a super child for a super chat. Sorry from Albert Nada retro
- 1:10:48GISs five dollars Canadian and says my new favorite meme is a picture of bears
- 1:10:54in a tree with the caption bears hiding from women. All right, thank
- 1:10:58you for that. Okay, so they blame women and feminists for all sorts
- 1:11:03of problems in society. Many of these communities encourage resentment or even hatred towards
- 1:11:10women and girls. There are four main groups, women and feminists. No,
- 1:11:15I blame feminists, and in fact, I don't even blame feminists anymore,
- 1:11:18because I think that feminists are simply a branch of the modern currency system.
- 1:11:24And I know that I cannot get into this because it's it's just it's
- 1:11:27too it's too complex for the for like a stream. But it's not even
- 1:11:30it's not even feminists. What feminists do, there's sort of like a almost
- 1:11:34like a moral branch of fiat currency. What they do is they are specifically
- 1:11:42reducing women down to guilt dispensers for men, Guilt and shame dispensers for men.
- 1:11:46That's it, that's all women are supposed to be in their framework,
- 1:11:49because it means that men have to earn a sense of personal value through something
- 1:11:57other than themselves, and that is a way of getting them addicted to an
- 1:12:04external source of recognition of value. And what is that but the fiat currency.
- 1:12:12So essentially, the more feminists colonize women's brains and turn them. They're
- 1:12:17like those those parasites that make the snails go up and get eaten by birds,
- 1:12:25you know what I mean. They basically just colonize women's brains, flatten
- 1:12:29out every aspect of their personality, emotion, and soul, and turn them
- 1:12:32into a vending machine of guilt. And that's it, and it's part of
- 1:12:36the it's a part of the organ of our society at this point. It's
- 1:12:40it's like almost a necessary function to keep the Fiat currency from collapsing. And
- 1:12:45I know that's a little bit rarefied. It requires a lot of explanation,
- 1:12:46but simply it is, they strip men of an identity. Men have to
- 1:12:50search for another way of earning an identity, and a big part of that
- 1:12:55is money. Yep. Okay, all right back to this thing. Okay,
- 1:13:00So now we get into the groups and looks like we made number one.
- 1:13:03Men's rights activists MRAs advocate political changes that will benefit men. However,
- 1:13:10much of their activism consists of harassment and abuse towards feminists and other female public
- 1:13:15fe Harassment and abuse. Remember, harassment and abuse is criticism and accountability.
- 1:13:23Yeah, Like, seriously, I don't engage in I think you're wrong about
- 1:13:28this thing. Uh, looks like you hate women. I mean, I
- 1:13:30just revealed a personal bit of information about me. You know that I have
- 1:13:35experienced sexual assault by women, all right, I've also experienced it by men,
- 1:13:41but I've experienced sexual assault by women. I put that on Twitter.
- 1:13:44A whole bunch of feminists swanned in to tell me that that makes my advocacy
- 1:13:48for non normative victims of sexual assault illegitimate. The behavior of feminists, the
- 1:14:00harassment that feminists engage in, the harassment of blaming men for things that are
- 1:14:05well beyond their control, like literally blaming the men in a conversation today for
- 1:14:11things men did two hundred years ago, as if they're like draculum. You
- 1:14:15know, there is a dracy've lived centuries like it's it's absurd because and the
- 1:14:20thing is that they always win this argument because they have enshrined blaming hostile sexism.
- 1:14:30What is hostile sexism towards men? They have enshrined it as a moral
- 1:14:36good. They've been tried it as something that they're entitled to do, and
- 1:14:42they are not. They're not entitled to engage in hostile sexism towards men.
- 1:14:46And they don't like me saying that, Yeah, so I got a super
- 1:14:53chow while we were Yeah, while you were ran from great indoors U and
- 1:15:00he gives us ten dollars, thank you, Greating Doors. And he says,
- 1:15:01so, misogyny is more rampant than ever before, and women run a
- 1:15:05record risk being around men. Yeah, and yet the Western world does the
- 1:15:11surprise Pikachu face when confronted with marriage rate decline to the extent that the Japanese
- 1:15:15government is now promoting some sort of marriage app. I'm picturing countries doing the
- 1:15:19Chicken run in self driving electric vehicles heading towards the edge of this turning table
- 1:15:25called Earth, kind of like Thelma and Louise. Also, Alison, aren't
- 1:15:29you going to open this month's fundraiser? Yes, I'll get to it.
- 1:15:33I will. It's still it's only like the fifth Yeah, I can't,
- 1:15:38like we're starting at earlier all the time. Yeah, I know, I
- 1:15:42know, I'll get to it soon. But the thing is that I'm working
- 1:15:45on something, working on silk screening. I want to have some kind of
- 1:15:48poster to offer whoever wants like an incentive to help us out. I mean,
- 1:15:55it's it's going to be like it, it's a limited edition silk screen,
- 1:15:58so it's not going to be I'll make it available, but I'm still
- 1:16:02trying to figure out the logistics of all of that and make sure that we're
- 1:16:04actually being able to finish it this month. It should be. We've gotten
- 1:16:09all of the equipment together, so I wanted to start to do a first
- 1:16:13first stab at the fundraiser offering that before I open it. So it's you
- 1:16:18know, at the very least, I'm gonna need a couple of days.
- 1:16:20I think you can. You can, Like we usually reopened it on like
- 1:16:25the earliest is usually the first Friday after the last fundraiser. Can you wait
- 1:16:30that long? Like it's two days? I'm sure you can't. Yeah,
- 1:16:33okay, So that's men's rights activists. Yeah, and this is like,
- 1:16:39I don't know, I feel like I've done I've done this so often.
- 1:16:43Yes, I already know what they're going to say before they say it.
- 1:16:45But also men going their own way migtao argue that women are so toxic that
- 1:16:50men should avoid them altogether. Some migtowe will date women but avoid anything serious
- 1:16:55like getting married, while others won't even be friends with women. So men's
- 1:17:00rights activists want male victims of sexual assault and domestic violence to be recognized.
- 1:17:03That's my issue. There's there's other you know, there are other issues,
- 1:17:06other men's rights activists, you know, parental rights, this other uh,
- 1:17:12false accusations, all that other stuff. My issue is sexual assault and domestic
- 1:17:15violence and recognizing male victims and also female victims of female perpetrators. But that
- 1:17:20goes a little bit by the wayside because it's a smaller issue, all right.
- 1:17:25That the fact that I call out feminists for manipulating the statistics, cooking
- 1:17:31the books when it comes to sexual assault and domestic violence in order to promote
- 1:17:35the idea that it's gendered. Thus to assert that men use it as a
- 1:17:42means to enable their patriarchal control of women. Like yeah, that that entire
- 1:17:51frameworks means that if you advocate for advocate for non normative victims of sexual assault,
- 1:17:59you andtic violence, you are in feminism's crosshairs. It doesn't matter if
- 1:18:04I don't engage in any kind of harassment or any kind of anything towards feminists,
- 1:18:10just by saying this is important. We shouldn't render them invisible. We
- 1:18:15shouldn't lie about the prevalence, we shouldn't be abusing freaking survivors in order to
- 1:18:21create these hoops to force male survivors through like an obstacle course of attrition,
- 1:18:28to try to manipulate the statistics. We shouldn't be doing this. I'm gonna
- 1:18:31be in the feminist cross hairs no matter what mm hm, because I'm defying
- 1:18:39their particular like what they want these stats to do, which is astounding to
- 1:18:44me. I mean, you take a human ill, and you don't actually
- 1:18:47care about the human ill insofar as it actually supports your assertion about society.
- 1:18:54So you don't give a crap about victims. You just want them to you
- 1:19:00know, you want them to be You want to use them as talking points
- 1:19:05in your ideology, and that's it. Yep, okay, all right,
- 1:19:12so back to the list. So I already read MiG Tao. These are
- 1:19:15all the same things. They just want to and they're not even like necessarily
- 1:19:18avoiding women. It's just the legal position that women are in, Like oh
- 1:19:24yes, yeah, they're just they just want to be let alone like that.
- 1:19:28And this thing like feminists don't these people can't they can't take it.
- 1:19:32I guess, like it's such a this is a non starter of them,
- 1:19:36but but they still do it just like the Pew ways the same thing.
- 1:19:41So pick up artists teach men's seduction strategies so that they can be more successful
- 1:19:45in attracting women. Many of these techniques involved mistreating women, such as assaulting
- 1:19:48them or disregarding consent. You'll be okay, you'll live, and you know
- 1:19:54what most of the time. If it works for them, then like I
- 1:19:58don't under who where's the victim? Who's the victim? Like if women,
- 1:20:01if these men are successful in picking up women and dating them or whatever,
- 1:20:05and then those women are willingly consenting, because that's what PUAs are after,
- 1:20:10is consent, then there's no victims. So what's the problem. Well,
- 1:20:14disregarding consent, I actually did a feminist study. I read a feminist study
- 1:20:18of what they consider to be problematic consent. The Mystery Mystery who used to
- 1:20:24be one of you know, my favorite pickup artists because he was always entertaining.
- 1:20:29But he used to have something called the cat and mouse method. So
- 1:20:34if a man was engaging in for play with a woman and she gave any
- 1:20:39kind of token what they call token resistance, which is not genuine resistance,
- 1:20:45he advocated for the man to completely de escalate, like walk away, make
- 1:20:49himself a sandwich, go, turn on the TV, watch TV, completely
- 1:20:55de escalate, move remove himself as much as possible from the situation, do
- 1:20:59not continue to engage in anything sexual, and in fact attempt to move it
- 1:21:03to something non sexual. And he said that what that does is it engages
- 1:21:09women's pursuit drive so that they have to pursue the man for sex. So
- 1:21:15now, and this was considered problematic by feminists, you freaking believe it somehow
- 1:21:24by completely ending the sexual contact at token resistance, that was creating problematic or
- 1:21:32disregarding consent. So a man when he experiences token resistance is supposed to exist
- 1:21:39in a super imposition of stopping and not stopping. And this is like,
- 1:21:45this is the nonsense they're trying to present as probnematic, which is there of
- 1:21:50groping towards sexual assault. And I would also like to point out, well,
- 1:21:56let's get to the final ones. I just want to brk that out
- 1:21:59that this is what they consider. Yeah, involuntary celibates, in cels believe
- 1:22:02they're entitled to a relationship with the women are incapable of finding a partner multiple
- 1:22:06acts of extreme violence or even murder have been attraded to this group. Obviously,
- 1:22:10I'm not eve gonna click on it. I don't even know where it's
- 1:22:12gonna go. It's gonna go, Elliott Roger alec Manassian. It's always the
- 1:22:15same that guy in England. Entitled to a relationship. Okay, you guys
- 1:22:21don't know what that word means. I feel entitled to the funds in my
- 1:22:27bank account. Why because I can at any point decide that they are there,
- 1:22:34what is going to happen with them? Entitlement to a relationship would mean
- 1:22:40that they feel as entitled to women sexual access to women, as I do
- 1:22:45to accessing my money, my own money. You see what I'm saying.
- 1:22:48Not entitlement, No, of course not. This is not an attitude of
- 1:22:53entitlement. It may be an attitude of resentment that they don't measure up to
- 1:22:57women's standards. But here's this is the thing I want to point out.
- 1:23:00You notice how they actually have a link to something criminal with the Yelves,
- 1:23:05which is questionable. Guys, it's like hugely questionable. Yeah, I already
- 1:23:10know if they basically just say is this guy a virgin? Or can we
- 1:23:14assume that he is, Oh he must have he must have been, he
- 1:23:15must be an insult. But they don't have it with any of the others.
- 1:23:19Yeah, none of the others. No, of course, not because
- 1:23:24they don't well no, because they're they don't even have anything they could pretend
- 1:23:28to pin on us. That's yeah, because it's about it's about creating a
- 1:23:33chilling effect around like any of the manosphere content. So the only thing they
- 1:23:39have is, you know, incidents of men who are virgins that also happen
- 1:23:46to commit a crime, or or they've murdered people or whatever. We don't
- 1:23:50even know if any of those things are connected. There could be any number
- 1:23:54of reasons why, but they don't care about that because that will require them
- 1:23:58to understand facts. So instead they just say, these people have killed people.
- 1:24:01Well, no, within this group in cells, there is a tiny
- 1:24:06minority that have committed violent crime. Right, and of course the the of
- 1:24:14course, the sort of umbrella of in cell is extremely broad. We're working
- 1:24:18really broad because it's not like it's a group of people, it's not like
- 1:24:21they're a movement, they're not advocating, they're just guys that are going through
- 1:24:26a dry spell. Maybe maybe it's just like fatalistic like that, it'll never
- 1:24:30change. They could be disabled, they could have mental problems, they could
- 1:24:34have deformities, whatever, just things that have essentially taken them out of the
- 1:24:39gene pool completely and they're not happy about it, but it is what it
- 1:24:44is, and they're trying to, like, you know, find a way
- 1:24:45to cope. And within that group of people, there's a tiny minority that
- 1:24:50commit crimes. And so they look at the tiny minority and they say this
- 1:24:55is the group, and then they associate the group with the broader menisphere and
- 1:25:00basically say, look, this is from this, you know, from the
- 1:25:03broader manisphere. You have like a tiny fraction within a fraction within a fraction
- 1:25:10that commits crimes. Therefore, the whole group is painted by them. It's
- 1:25:14like the one drop rule for the menisphere based That's why they do it because
- 1:25:18if there was any records of PUA's doing stuff, like if there was something
- 1:25:23that happened or migtao or whatever, they would use that. But they can't
- 1:25:26because legitimately, like PUA's are doing what women want to get in their pants,
- 1:25:33you know, miktao are just avoiding women. So you can't criminalize that.
- 1:25:39You can't pathologize that. All you can do is complain about it.
- 1:25:42And MRAs are asking for, like, you know, really fair things.
- 1:25:45And in order for us to make any progress, we have to criticize feminism
- 1:25:50because we're criticizing the system as it exists. Feminism is the system. So
- 1:25:57yeah, how how do you when feminists are the predominant reason why non normative
- 1:26:04victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and I keep using that male victims of
- 1:26:10domestic violence and sexual assault, but I also want to include female victims of
- 1:26:13women are excluded from the stats, then how do you avoid criticizing them?
- 1:26:19Like feminists are the primary reason why all of this is distorted in order to
- 1:26:25serve an ideological purpose, how can you not criticize them? And it's like
- 1:26:31this entire framework assumes that criticizing feminists is not is like it's a moral evil,
- 1:26:40and it isn't. Feminists have institutional power. They determine which initiatives get
- 1:26:46funding. They also determine the general perception of sexual assault and domestic violence.
- 1:26:54They are embedded in the entire system, from stem to stern, from active
- 1:27:00this to frontline worker to academic to journalists. There to funding directors and NGOs.
- 1:27:10They're everywhere controlling the narrative on this. They are the institution, and
- 1:27:15they explicitly are marginalizing groups of victims because they are ideologically inconvenient. Yeah,
- 1:27:25look what happened to Look what happened to Justin Trottiers. Yes, and he
- 1:27:30spent ten years bringing services to men cannot get funding because of feminist bureaucrats in
- 1:27:36the Canadian government. Right. You know before him, Earl Silverman experienced exactly
- 1:27:42the same thing when he was trying to fund his men's shelter, Right,
- 1:27:46how do you not criticize this? And furthermore, what the hell are feminists,
- 1:27:53which is supposedly a political ideology, doing anywhere near a social ill like
- 1:27:59sexualists or domestic violence? Why has spent a single fricking scent on them trying
- 1:28:06to use these issues to prove their ideological ideological flimflam? Like? Why are
- 1:28:16they allowed to be among vulnerable populations using them to push a quasi cult agenda?
- 1:28:27Like? And I mean that by I'm sorry, but feminism's main assertions
- 1:28:34have not even begun to be presented as a scientific inquiry like they You ask
- 1:28:41over and over and I've looked for this. Where have feminism's assertions been framed
- 1:28:45in a way that makes them falsifiable that you can actually prove them true or
- 1:28:49false. This, all of this is just believed. It's just believed.
- 1:28:57And you build up a whole bunch of scholarship on a bunch of beliefs that
- 1:29:00have been never been subject to any kind of intellectual rigure. And these people
- 1:29:04are allowed to manipulate, connive, and abuse survivors of sexual assault and domestic
- 1:29:14violence and use them to their own ends while deciding to completely avoid interventions that
- 1:29:21could actually make a difference in their lives. Yes, I'm going to criticize
- 1:29:26this. Yep, all right, So back to this, how are young
- 1:29:34people influenced? Well, a twenty twenty Hope Not Hate report Hope Not Hate
- 1:29:42demonstrated how the Manisphere influences young people's beliefs about feminism. Boys are repeating Manisphere
- 1:29:47talking points in school and even harassing female teachers eries very base. The report
- 1:29:54found that fifty percent of young men in age sixteen to twenty four believe feminism
- 1:29:58makes it more difficult for men to succeed. Fucking does Owen Jones? Oh
- 1:30:01ah, Yeah, he's a really great, great guy, great resource head
- 1:30:05of education and training at Hope. Not Hey, oh my god, that
- 1:30:10sounds absolutely monstrous. Says that gender equality is the most difficult subject to teach.
- 1:30:15Yeah, because it's a lie. Yeah, because equality, Like literally
- 1:30:20there are more female hostile sexests and you're not addressing, like, how can
- 1:30:25you not see that what you're creating is not equality? And all the boys
- 1:30:29are doing is saying, hey, this is inequality. Why does she get
- 1:30:30to slap me? Why does she get to engage in this hostile sexism towards
- 1:30:35me? And I'm the only one who has to be responsible for myself.
- 1:30:39That's not gender equality. Hell, it's not even empowerment for women. It's
- 1:30:44just pushing your your rat fink ideology. No is no no offense to rat
- 1:30:48fink. All right. Many students don't believe sexism is a problem, and
- 1:30:54when teaching the subject there quote is an aggressive backlash for male students who do,
- 1:30:59who not only deny the issues but try to silence any notion of female
- 1:31:02empowerment or critique of male culture and quote, let's hope, I mean that
- 1:31:06sounds amazing to me. This can make it difficult to have productive conversations about
- 1:31:12important issues like sexism or gender stereotypes in the classroom. You exclude men,
- 1:31:16the male perspective from everything. You get what you get because of the way
- 1:31:21that you've treated boys from birth Like this is like what you get? I
- 1:31:27mean, I don't believe equality is a real thing. All there is is
- 1:31:31justice and fairness. But you have ignored the male perspective. And I know
- 1:31:38that people like Owen Jones and Hope not hate, absolutely no interest, no
- 1:31:43interest in addressing men's issues, in treating boys like human beings at all.
- 1:31:48It's all about making them subject themselves to the feminist narratives that you can keep
- 1:31:54making money. It's got nothing to do with what equality. That's just hype
- 1:31:59dream nonsense ends. So how do young people find the Manisphere? Many Manisphere
- 1:32:04groups host their own websites and have seen increasing traffic, with some seeing growth
- 1:32:11from thousands to millions of users. However, these groups can also be found
- 1:32:15on popular social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Reddit
- 1:32:19in particular is home to many Manisphere communities. Although the most popular migtao at
- 1:32:25in cell subreddits have been banned, that didn't seem to change anything though did
- 1:32:30it? Young People may also find the Manisphere via YouTube, as the watch
- 1:32:34next algorithm has been known to recommend increasingly sexist and anti feminist content in order
- 1:32:42to keep users engaged. TikTok maybe another avenue, as the migtau and pickup
- 1:32:46artist comunities in particular are becoming more prevalent. There, let me see what
- 1:32:51this is about? Oh mel magazine? Oh shut up? No, no,
- 1:32:57no, I'm not Yeah, a rat hole that we don't need to
- 1:33:00go down. Yeah no, that's okay. That's so let's go for language
- 1:33:08should I look out for? What language should I look out for? It
- 1:33:11is? You know what, dude, this is literally like the it's the
- 1:33:15same thing that we just covered in you know, in a couple of those
- 1:33:18what do you call them, the the fad streams. But you know that
- 1:33:24this is the same stuff. It's the same language, the same organization.
- 1:33:28Anyway, What language should I look out for? There are several words and
- 1:33:30phrases which suggest that someone is familiar with the manuscripts, such as and here
- 1:33:34come, here come the terms red pill, learning the truth about female nature
- 1:33:40and that feminism is about oppressing men, blue pill. Not having taken the
- 1:33:44red pill and so living in blissful ignorance. Alpha male slash Chad an attractive,
- 1:33:48successful man desired by all women. Beta male or cook is an average
- 1:33:54man who has not yet taken the red pill and his inferior to the alpha
- 1:33:57male. Memoid or I've never in that way, but whatever, there's probably
- 1:34:01places where they say it like that memoid or foid female humanoid, mostly used
- 1:34:06by in cells. Ginocentrism the theory that society revolves around and is dominated by
- 1:34:12women. Well, I gotta say, I'm glad that these words, these
- 1:34:15turns are out there. Yeah, it's not dominated by women. It is
- 1:34:19revolves around women's interests, and it does like, yeah, if if women
- 1:34:26are not fed and protected, they cannot have children. Exactly, they are
- 1:34:30usually in the position of being the most fed and protected, like prioritized,
- 1:34:36they prioritized. Yes, it doesn't mean that that the society is dominated by
- 1:34:41women. You know, often when you push women to the interior, men
- 1:34:45are in the exterior, which is the position of greatest responsibility. So you
- 1:34:49know, like a small p patriarchy exists with ginocentrism because men are expected to
- 1:34:57take charge of protecting and providing women. Like that's the balance of the roles
- 1:35:03in the past. There you go. It's very straightforward, but yes it
- 1:35:08is. But it also not convenient. Yes, it's not convenient. It
- 1:35:14has to be made convoluted because of this unquestioned belief that women are victims.
- 1:35:20Mm hmm. Like literally that that that that Twitter that he that guy on
- 1:35:24Twitter who pointed this out just really opened my eyes. We can't define women
- 1:35:29by any feature except that they're oppressed by men. That's it. That's what
- 1:35:33that's what left. That's what left. That's what's left to women. So
- 1:35:38of course we can't look at society as a trade off. We have to
- 1:35:42always see women as victims. Yep, all right, back to this,
- 1:35:47so it says, however, not everyone uses this sort of language, for,
- 1:35:50for instance, terms it is also important to look out for generalizing statements
- 1:35:56made about women and men, such as making claims about how all women act,
- 1:36:00or talking about men and women as if they are two different species.
- 1:36:03You mean the way feminists talk about men. Not even feminists like women and
- 1:36:08other men talk about men in this way. Yeah, right, is men
- 1:36:13versus baron not a generalizing statement, Like, honestly, you constantly generalize about
- 1:36:19men. You're generalizing about men in this Yep, how can we make young
- 1:36:26people less perceptible to these harms? A lot of perceptibles, but it says
- 1:36:30I meaning they mean susceptible, right, I think a lot of yeah,
- 1:36:34less perceptible, like less able to see. I don't know, like nope,
- 1:36:40because the way this structured is that the harms are seeking out the young
- 1:36:45people or using their their harms. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, the
- 1:36:49harms are looking for them, Yes, seeking them out. I don't get
- 1:36:55it. I don't get it either. All right, let's just keep going
- 1:36:59a lot of anisphere, you guys get and how close you are to the
- 1:37:02government. Maybe you could actually be more coherent in your use of English.
- 1:37:06Yeah, okay. A lot of Manisphere believes follow mainstream thoughts about gender and
- 1:37:12sexuality, which may impact mental health. Many teenage boys feel ashamed about not
- 1:37:16having a girlfriend, but this does not necessarily mean they will identify as an
- 1:37:20insult. Wait, therefore, what they have shame about not having a girlfriend?
- 1:37:27Okay, So how do you deal with their shame about not having a
- 1:37:30girlfriend or is that just like, oh, it's okay. You tell them
- 1:37:31that they're entitled and that they don't have a right, they're saying to their
- 1:37:35feelings. These boys are feeling ashamed, So do you care about that?
- 1:37:41Let's let's find out if they care about that. Let's read the next paragraph.
- 1:37:45All right. Therefore, it is important to have early conversations about healthy
- 1:37:50relationships and gender relations so that young people do not get sucked into the black
- 1:37:56and white and often defeat is thinking of the manisphere was like the Online Together
- 1:38:00project are designed to help start these conversations. Constructive support with difficult feelings around
- 1:38:05girls, sexuality and masculinity is also and it's blocked out by this sucD thing.
- 1:38:11I assume it's essential, you know something like I think that's it.
- 1:38:17No, that's the end, that's the tackle. I'm actually really curious you
- 1:38:21want to go to Online Together. I'm really curious about the struggle session with
- 1:38:25six year olds personally, but oh, oh my god, I don't really
- 1:38:30freaking curious. How that all right? All right? Do you want me
- 1:38:32to do you want me to look at that we go to the quiz or
- 1:38:35the how to advice. You're like only a few years out of diapers,
- 1:38:39but it's time to talk about your hatred towards women. I'm actually curious about
- 1:38:44that, and I'm also curious about this, Like, which one do you
- 1:38:46want to look at? This is the six year old struggle sessions. There's
- 1:38:50a video video supporting young children. You want to go to online together?
- 1:38:59It probably better to be okay, So once again we've established this is how
- 1:39:03they talk to a young man who is ashamed of the fact he doesn't have
- 1:39:08a girlfriend. So he's feeling shame like he's feeling bad. He's probably feeling
- 1:39:13really negative about himself. He's probably feeling despondent. How do they talk to
- 1:39:16this young man? Okay, let's let's see find out all right, start
- 1:39:21your skills journey by choosing the topic you'd like to explore. Tackling online hate,
- 1:39:27Sure, breaking down gender stereotypes. Let's go with what what tackling online
- 1:39:31hate? What you will learn? All right? Again like framework. We
- 1:39:34can't get a pit away from this framework. This is what we talk how
- 1:39:36we talk to a young You have to take Oh good lord, Okay,
- 1:39:44do you not want to four questions for fourteen plus? Let's go for questions
- 1:39:46for fourteen plus. Let's go advanced like number player. Let's just do one
- 1:39:50okay, Okay, So apparently we're playing a game now. I couldn't just
- 1:39:54get a bullet point of out. We have to pick an avatar. Can
- 1:39:58we be the flames? What do you want to be? Out? And
- 1:40:00the alien? The orange, especially masculine, the lemon, the mushroom,
- 1:40:04the frog. We're going with the frog. Chatelet a all right, so
- 1:40:15we're going with the frog. Feels good man. Question one, what does
- 1:40:19it mean to have freedom of expression? What does it mean? You could
- 1:40:25freely express yourself online with no consequences. This is how we're supposed to talk
- 1:40:29to this young man who's feeling ashamed because he does not have a girlfriend.
- 1:40:32Yeah, you can freely express yourself online with no consequences. You cannot be
- 1:40:36prosecuted for criticizing your government. You can share controversial opinions publicly on social media.
- 1:40:44Got to pick one. Oh, no, you cannot be prosecuted for
- 1:40:46criticizing your government. Yes, but you are in a government initiative. Can
- 1:40:50we criticize you? Like a lot of this feminism is government initiatives. Can
- 1:40:55we criticize you? What do you mean by consequences? I hate these questions
- 1:40:59already. Well, they mean that they basically mean that they want to senswer
- 1:41:02online speech because they want to actually like use the government to make it illegal.
- 1:41:09Like and even though feminism is a huge part of the government, now
- 1:41:13apparently we can't criticize it. You cannot. So number two is the correct
- 1:41:18answer. You cannot be prosecuted for criticizing your government unless bureau feminist bureaucracy that
- 1:41:25controls funding and social services, which is uncriticizable. Shouldn't we just answer honestly
- 1:41:30and not try to get these right? Nothing? Okay, Again, this
- 1:41:35was supposed to be about helping a young man who feels ashamed about the fact
- 1:41:41that he doesn't have a girlfriend. This does nothing except make people conform to
- 1:41:45a particular point of view I'm looking for. I. Okay, let's I
- 1:41:49have a son he feels like crap. How do I make him feel better?
- 1:41:55Oh? I guess we just don't care about that. Just make him
- 1:41:58conform, all right, Okay, you answer whichever. You can share controversials
- 1:42:03public. Let's do number I'll go and you can share controversial opinions public on
- 1:42:08social media. That's that seems to be the most common sense one. So
- 1:42:12that is answer is to check your answer. Let's see, so there is
- 1:42:15a right answer your result. No, I'm wrong. What you need to
- 1:42:26know? Opinions on social media? No, this really like, have you
- 1:42:30ever shared a controversial or hateful opinion on social media? This is literally like
- 1:42:34maoist pastelle, colored fascists. Yes, yes it is. This is scary
- 1:42:41shit. This is scary shit. So yeah, so this escalates rapidly.
- 1:42:47Can I read this? Yeah? Have you ever seen a controversial or hateful
- 1:42:51opinion on social media? Or Okay, so now we're not just talking about
- 1:42:56a controversial opinion a hateful one or in news stories talking about this happening.
- 1:43:01Often, people spreading hate hate claims online claim they have the right to free
- 1:43:09right to free speech, and think that means they can say what they like
- 1:43:11without consequence. However, freedom of expression or free speech simply means that if
- 1:43:15you say something against the UK government. Of course you can't say, actually,
- 1:43:18the UK government doesn't have they don't have free speech in the UK.
- 1:43:21You can literally go to jail for like you whistling at a woman in fucking
- 1:43:27Nottingham. Yeah, to criticize their government without prosecution, except for the feminist
- 1:43:31parts of the government. Social media and gaming platforms all have their own terms
- 1:43:35of service and community guidelines many which whatever. Okay, let's sell. I
- 1:43:41don't know if I like this quiz. Do we have to continue because it's
- 1:43:44all good. No, we we don't have We don't. We don't have
- 1:43:46to. I just want to get an inkling of what of what it was.
- 1:43:50Let's go to the You want to take the next question? Yeah,
- 1:43:54take the next damn question? All right, all right, let me bring
- 1:43:57it up. If this thing loads, it's so fucking where's the next question?
- 1:44:02Bro? We'll go back. So they want me to answer it correctly
- 1:44:10before I move on. No, I am not doing that. That's you
- 1:44:15guys are evil. This is evil. Yeah, and again this was what
- 1:44:19they directed us to when we have you know, like a fourteen year old
- 1:44:26boy, you know, Tom, who's now withdrawing from his family because he
- 1:44:30thinks he's worthless because he doesn't have a girlfriend, and he's withdrawing from school
- 1:44:35life. We're starting to see him, you know, we're worried about him
- 1:44:40because he's starting to show up looking depressed, you know, and out of
- 1:44:44it. He's no longer interested in the activities he was interested in before.
- 1:44:47And we're we're concerned parents asking ourselves, well, how do we discuss this
- 1:44:53issue with him in such a way that we get our you know, our
- 1:44:57happy son back. And this is what they direct us to mm hmm absolutely,
- 1:45:04like, oh no, you need to conform to our narrative about what's
- 1:45:09right, and uh yeah, you're allowed to criticize the UK government, accept
- 1:45:15the feminist parts, but uh yeah, that that's all that free speech means.
- 1:45:20Okay, well, what about the Twitter version of free speech because that
- 1:45:24seems to be pretty close to most people's version of what they would say free
- 1:45:28speech is. You know, what about when supposedly, uh some of the
- 1:45:31feminist stuff was controversial or gay rights? Like should should we have all censored?
- 1:45:38That might have been for the best. And I say that as somebody
- 1:45:43who is part of the LGBTQ book community. Let's let's go back because this
- 1:45:48doesn't seem very helpful. What do you want? What do you want to
- 1:45:50look at? I want to look at the struggle session for six year olds?
- 1:45:54All right? All right? I want to get on a scale of
- 1:45:59one to ten grooming. Yeah, all right, So online safety advice.
- 1:46:04Early use of digital technology has been shown to improve language skills and promote children's
- 1:46:08social development and creativity. However, it's not without risk for young children.
- 1:46:12Unfortunately, they may come across inappropriate content. So okay that I mean this
- 1:46:16is all common sense stuff. Download online safety guide. Watch you want to
- 1:46:20watch the video? Yes, it's primary school is online. Can you hear
- 1:46:26that? Yeah, I can hear it. Three minutes? Okay, all
- 1:46:29right, six to tens do it. Between the ages of six to ten.
- 1:46:34It's likely your child might get their first connected device, perhaps a games
- 1:46:39console or a tablet. So take the time to have regular chats with your
- 1:46:43child about their well being and safety online. This will why is this kid
- 1:46:46that pink hair? You guys are already setting the tone. Will help them
- 1:46:51develop coping strategies to deal with online risks and encourage them to make safer choices
- 1:46:57online. So freaking bland. Yeah, well, let me see if I
- 1:47:03can just jump to a session, because this is all common sense stuff that
- 1:47:06parents should know. So set up parental controls, set limits, choose the
- 1:47:12right device, set parental controls, create a user account, set child's friendly
- 1:47:18sites, set a password. Be a good digital citizen. I could go
- 1:47:23to that part that sounds appropriately like fashy, be a good digital citizen like
- 1:47:30some fash Yeah to that all right, let's listen to it. Yeah,
- 1:47:39some children may find themselves bullying or being bullied online, so it's important to
- 1:47:44talk to them about being a good friend online and where to get support if
- 1:47:46they need it. Remind them that they can talk to you or intrusted adults
- 1:47:51if they have any concerns because safety interested adults. Yeah, that's weird.
- 1:47:58I don't know what does that mean? You mean interested adults like teachers,
- 1:48:02interested adults interested in yet No, I think that if I had a kid,
- 1:48:09I'd be like, no, you talk to me, not adults with
- 1:48:15interest in you. Jesus good Lord, Oh my god. Yeah, Jeffrey
- 1:48:24Marsh, I want to talk to the kid. It's like him from Powerpuff
- 1:48:29Girls. That's like, okay, okay, So that yeah, that's I
- 1:48:34mean, there is okay. What you'll find the same as the Internet Safety
- 1:48:38Checklist. Why it matters facts is that's online issues of parent guides activities together
- 1:48:44eight specific apps related. Yeah. I don't know, I don't see.
- 1:48:47It's probably too young, the six years old. Yeah, that's not when
- 1:48:51you start to groom them into your ideological framework. That that and women to
- 1:49:00be victims. Yeah, I think this is all to prepare them for when
- 1:49:02they're like fourteen eleven, you know, for when the indoctrination begins. Yes,
- 1:49:08exactly. But remember, free speech isn't about sharing controversial opinions because because
- 1:49:15the opinions that need protection aren't the controversial ones. They're the ones that nobody
- 1:49:20nobody good war, do they even understand what they're saying? Oh god,
- 1:49:28yeah, they are terrified of autonomy. That they are absolutely terrified of autonomy,
- 1:49:35and they need that kind of a risk taking mentality in to to maintain
- 1:49:42society. Like we need that kind of more masculine risk taking mentality when it
- 1:49:47is masculine to be able to run our power grid, you know, our
- 1:49:54sewer system, to run our planes and everything else, like even if if
- 1:50:00it's invinced, even if it's in women, we need women who are that
- 1:50:03have that more masculine quality of wanting to see themselves in terms of their actions
- 1:50:09effect on the greater world, which is a kind of a risk taking.
- 1:50:12It's about, you know, feeling good about having a positive effect, you
- 1:50:16know, and not just through your existence, through your actions and your behaviors,
- 1:50:21and also being willing to recognize when your behaviors aren't positive and change them,
- 1:50:27right, that's a whole suite that's more related to masculine individuals, and
- 1:50:33like, yeah, they need that. So they need that desire for autonomy
- 1:50:39and risk taking in order to even continue, for society to run. But
- 1:50:43they're in war with it because they're terrified that it will result in people who
- 1:50:49aren't under their control. Yeah. Yeah, once again, female hostile sexism
- 1:50:58is a free action, yeap. Never not no interest in addressing it,
- 1:51:02ye whatsoever? Okay, Well I am yeah, I'm stutely sort of vaguely
- 1:51:13like it's it's lukewarm fascism, you know, it's just sort of like,
- 1:51:18well, it's child friendly fascism. It's uh, it's yeah, it's a
- 1:51:24dolorous umbridge is that her name from Harry Potter. It's like it's that.
- 1:51:28It's it's pink like vesty pants suit, you know, yeah, like womanly
- 1:51:36fascism, velvet glove fascism, and and I think, yeah, yeah,
- 1:51:42doile fascism. And I think that with the six year olds, most of
- 1:51:45the stuff I scroll through really quick, most of it's common sense ship that
- 1:51:49like any parents should be doing with their kids. But I think that it's
- 1:51:53setting. It's all about setting the president for the next step. So if
- 1:51:58they're already essentially considering, you know, men who don't want to have anything
- 1:52:02to do with women dangerous to women somehow, then they're gonna build up to
- 1:52:06that point. I don't know what they want for men, honestly, because
- 1:52:12they either they want to be with women, it's a problem. And if
- 1:52:14they don't want to be with women, it's a problem. So maybe they
- 1:52:16just should be like, you know, slaving away and paying into the system
- 1:52:23with their jobs, like exactly. That's it. So yeah, okay,
- 1:52:28that's it. We're gonna wrap it up now, Yeah, exactly. Okay,
- 1:52:31So that's it. If you want to send us a message anytime after
