- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with on our radio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: This week's Real Housewives of Rhode Island has a Pizza
- 0:08Speaker 2: Mama when you get paid, a Miss slam Pig coming
- 0:12Speaker 2: back for another, and somehow Frank Sinatra is in the
- 0:17Speaker 2: mix too. Hey, get some crackers. This one was a doozy, Lauren.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I gotta say, there's too much Kelsey in this episode
- 0:26Speaker 3: for my liking.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Oh, come on, it's good stuff right now.
- 0:30Speaker 3: It's good stuff, I know, but like, I don't think
- 0:36Speaker 3: she's very funny. We'll get to the sash later. I
- 0:41Speaker 3: know that she's telling Liz all these awful things about Rosie. Now,
- 0:46Speaker 3: look who's talking.
- 0:48Speaker 2: It's Kelsey, Okay, Lauren. Last week we had the big
- 0:53Speaker 2: discussion that so many of the Real Housewives fans are
- 0:56Speaker 2: having right now. Yeah, whose side are you on in this?
- 1:00Speaker 2: I told you that I thought Rosie overreacted. Doesn't mean
- 1:04Speaker 2: that I think she has not been the victim of
- 1:08Speaker 2: a lot of bowling. Yeah, a lot of like poking
- 1:12Speaker 2: the bear. The bear reacted in a big way. But
- 1:16Speaker 2: I do think she overreacted to the blowhorn joke, and
- 1:21Speaker 2: I still would call it a joke.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I called a joke in the Internet. I was like,
- 1:27Speaker 3: how are people going to take this? How are gonna
- 1:28Speaker 3: take this? They are like, go off, Queen team Rosie,
- 1:31Speaker 3: you poke the bear too much? All these things in
- 1:34Speaker 3: the comments, So what do we know? Truly?
- 1:37Speaker 2: What do we know? I mean, I I do think
- 1:41Speaker 2: Kelsey was trying to land a joke that was not funny.
- 1:44Speaker 2: She is not won comedian, no, and it's not working.
- 1:48Speaker 2: These are mean spirited jokes, and Rosie is just done
- 1:53Speaker 2: taking it. She's done dealing with it. So my question is,
- 2:01Speaker 2: if you are unbiased Lauren, to start this episode going
- 2:04Speaker 2: into whose side are you on?
- 2:06Speaker 3: I am still on Rosie's side, but I feel like
- 2:11Speaker 3: it would be great if the episode started out with
- 2:15Speaker 3: Rosie being like, I want a little overboard. I understand
- 2:18Speaker 3: it was a joke. Let's actually like, I apologize for
- 2:22Speaker 3: saying all these things to you, But the amount of
- 2:24Speaker 3: things she did say you can't really go back from.
- 2:27Speaker 3: There's no way Kelsey'd be like, it's okay and then
- 2:31Speaker 3: move on. The slam pig, the sleeping with married men,
- 2:35Speaker 3: all the things. I don't think we can come back
- 2:37Speaker 3: from it at this point.
- 2:38Speaker 2: As we can see, you're a little far gone. Yeah, Lauren,
- 2:41Speaker 2: when you have a conversation an argument with a group
- 2:44Speaker 2: of friends, Kelsey came into this either let me rephrase
- 2:51Speaker 2: my question. Did you perceive Kelsey throughout this episode showing
- 2:57Speaker 2: confidence or insecure security? Or is she does she like
- 3:06Speaker 2: believe she's right and all this so much that she
- 3:09Speaker 2: is kind of not afraid to charge in through it,
- 3:12Speaker 2: Like she doesn't mind being around Rosie. Obviously Rosie doesn't
- 3:15Speaker 2: want to be around Kelsey, right, But she's like, I'll
- 3:18Speaker 2: do it and I'll even up it, like I'm not
- 3:20Speaker 2: even trying to make friends here.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not sensing confidence because I think she knows
- 3:24Speaker 3: at the end of the day, everything that she was
- 3:26Speaker 3: originally mad about had no ground, especially when they go
- 3:31Speaker 3: to dinner and you see in this when they're talking
- 3:33Speaker 3: about Alicia and how she exaggerated the truth about homelessness,
- 3:38Speaker 3: and then she realizes, she goes, oh, so she exaggerated
- 3:40Speaker 3: a little bit. And then she realized, she goes, oh,
- 3:42Speaker 3: I was so mad at Rosie for exaggerating a little
- 3:46Speaker 3: bit about a square footage, and she caught herself there.
- 3:48Speaker 3: But she realizes everything that she was mad about Rosie
- 3:51Speaker 3: for had no ground. So now that she does after
- 3:54Speaker 3: this fight, because she was called a mistress, a slampig,
- 3:58Speaker 3: all the things. Now I think she she's confident enough
- 4:01Speaker 3: to go out there and be like, I'm so right
- 4:05Speaker 3: and I can be around you because I am confident
- 4:07Speaker 3: in this. I don't think she was last week before
- 4:10Speaker 3: the fight.
- 4:11Speaker 2: What is the biggest difference in your mind between Rosie
- 4:13Speaker 2: and Kelsey as people as humans?
- 4:17Speaker 3: I mean, I think that Rosie has a little more integrity.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I would say, like she does everything kind of yeah
- 4:26Speaker 3: by the playbook like she does, I don't know, Like
- 4:31Speaker 3: she had her a job, she moved out of the house,
- 4:33Speaker 3: she got a job, she lived on her own, she
- 4:35Speaker 3: met her husband, she did everything kind of like buy
- 4:37Speaker 3: the book. Kelsey did not, and she admits that many times,
- 4:41Speaker 3: and then she talks about how she is still receiving money.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I would just say, like one has a little more integrity.
- 4:47Speaker 3: But also I don't want to shame Kelsey for like
- 4:49Speaker 3: getting her bag, and I don't want to shame her
- 4:51Speaker 3: for like taking advantage of being a hot young girl,
- 4:53Speaker 3: because like I should have done that more honestly, So
- 4:57Speaker 3: I honestly, like I don't think there's much like a
- 5:00Speaker 3: crazy difference. I wouldn't know how to say other than
- 5:02Speaker 3: the fact that their paths in life have been very different.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Lauren the quote of the show. I wis Sho would
- 5:09Speaker 2: have done.
- 5:09Speaker 3: That more absolutely?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great. Yeah, this episode starts, we're kind of
- 5:15Speaker 2: getting the many conversations I think to set the scene
- 5:18Speaker 2: for the rest of the episode, where Kelsey calls Liz
- 5:21Speaker 2: in the car to kind of walk this through. It
- 5:24Speaker 2: sounds like Rosie called obviously Ashley, but then also Joe Ellen.
- 5:28Speaker 2: They're kind of spreading this story before the group regathers,
- 5:32Speaker 2: so that everybody's in the loop on what happened, what
- 5:35Speaker 2: went down. The interesting thing here is that Kelsey is
- 5:40Speaker 2: claiming that Rosie allegedly had an affair with a married
- 5:47Speaker 2: man at her old job, which ruined that marriage. And
- 5:52Speaker 2: so I think in like the nineties, we called that
- 5:54Speaker 2: what a home wrecker?
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yes, and it's like, oh, it ruined his marriage, Like,
- 5:58Speaker 3: how about the man makes responsibility for ruining his marriage.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yes, But that's why I'm saying, I don't know if
- 6:07Speaker 2: there's that big a difference between the two. I think
- 6:09Speaker 2: they both as they were younger and as they're you know,
- 6:13Speaker 2: attractive people, seem to have made decisions that both of
- 6:17Speaker 2: them could be critical of leading up to this point
- 6:21Speaker 2: in time on the Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Neither
- 6:23Speaker 2: of them. Neither of them can throw stones.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I guess so true, because if what Rosie said was
- 6:29Speaker 3: true about Kelsey that she sleeps with married men, and
- 6:32Speaker 3: what Kelsey saying, you know, vice versa, then then yes
- 6:37Speaker 3: they can't throw stones. But for some reason, like why
- 6:39Speaker 3: don't I believe Kelsey? I don't believe what Kelsey is
- 6:41Speaker 3: saying about Rosie? But is that because I believe I
- 6:45Speaker 3: Just everything Kelsey has said before hasn't really been.
- 6:49Speaker 2: True, Okay, So you're like bringing in the like critic
- 6:53Speaker 2: the things that Kelsey have said that it's critical of Rosie,
- 6:56Speaker 2: like the scir footage or house and all that stuff,
- 6:58Speaker 2: and saying, yes, well you're wrong there, so you're wrong.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Probably also in this stuff, you could just be making
- 7:03Speaker 2: things up to make things up.
- 7:04Speaker 3: She could be making things up because why haven't we
- 7:06Speaker 3: heard about this before? Why why is it okay for
- 7:08Speaker 3: this to come out now? When she's hated Rosie for
- 7:10Speaker 3: so long? And they're like why why, and they're like
- 7:12Speaker 3: because she lies. It's like you should have said X
- 7:15Speaker 3: y Z hot cheating blah blah blah.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Is it weird, Lauren? I might just be a weird guy,
- 7:20Speaker 2: I think. I actually, I kind of know I am.
- 7:22Speaker 2: But the only thing I think about when I think
- 7:24Speaker 2: about Rosie in her working career is a bleeding butthole.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Isn't that amazing? But that's the legacy she has left.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's all I can get past. Anytime I
- 7:36Speaker 2: hear Rosie and work, that's what I think of, And
- 7:38Speaker 2: I don't. And I mean, it's not like it's something
- 7:40Speaker 2: I enjoy, it's what I like associate her work with.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I know it's unfortunate, but it's such a funny line.
- 7:47Speaker 3: We do need address the fact that, I guess Rosie
- 7:50Speaker 3: was allegedly involved with a coach, a basketball coach, which
- 7:54Speaker 3: she said at the very beginning of the first episode,
- 7:57Speaker 3: I've never even met this man, and Kelsey does bring
- 8:01Speaker 3: up the fact that he is paying her off and
- 8:05Speaker 3: that's why she can build this house, and honestly makes
- 8:08Speaker 3: a little bit of sense, like I really don't know
- 8:10Speaker 3: where the funds are coming from for Rosie's house, because,
- 8:13Speaker 3: like her husband has a lot of small jobs. And
- 8:16Speaker 3: then she doesn't work for the news anymore. She works
- 8:19Speaker 3: for forget the name of the the.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
- 8:23Speaker 3: She works in the Real Housewives of Rhode Island, which
- 8:25Speaker 3: I don't think pays very much at the moment. Yeah,
- 8:28Speaker 3: she works for a local show, which I'm sure doesn't
- 8:31Speaker 3: offer that much in the salary, So we don't really
- 8:35Speaker 3: know where their funds are coming from. So it is
- 8:37Speaker 3: an interesting story that Kelsey is saying.
- 8:40Speaker 2: The Frank Sinatra gig pays so much money.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I bet I'm sure.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I'm sure he's getting tips and tips and tips and
- 8:48Speaker 2: they're doing just fine there. This basketball coach, how bad
- 8:51Speaker 2: is it going to be when he watches this.
- 8:53Speaker 3: We don't even know who this man is. We got
- 8:55Speaker 3: no name.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't think his like wife maybe had inkling
- 9:00Speaker 2: at some point that hey, that rosy girl seems to
- 9:04Speaker 2: be too close and he cut it off. And now
- 9:09Speaker 2: it's coming back around as they watch The Real Housewives
- 9:12Speaker 2: of Rhode Island and he is She's like sitting on
- 9:15Speaker 2: the couch being like, is it you?
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you're so right. So you're looking at it with
- 9:19Speaker 3: very clear eyes, and I'm not looking at it like that.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I'm looking at it, like, oh, she said she doesn't
- 9:24Speaker 3: know him, so she doesn't know him, So we got
- 9:27Speaker 3: to get to the bottom of this.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Maybe my hope, yeah, for all of this is that
- 9:31Speaker 2: she doesn't know him, and that there was no marriage
- 9:34Speaker 2: or relationships hurt in the process of the making of
- 9:38Speaker 2: these women that now we watch on Real Housewives.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Right, But like, don't you know, like when you're watching
- 9:44Speaker 3: ESPN or something and there's an attractive reporter and they're
- 9:47Speaker 3: talking to any male, they're like, oh, they're sleeping together. Oh,
- 9:51Speaker 3: they have a crush on each other. It just works
- 9:53Speaker 3: that way kind of.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and there's a lot of rumors. I guess that
- 9:56Speaker 2: is true. Yeah, we do get a little taste of
- 9:59Speaker 2: the ash in Jared relationship in good old Real Housewives fashion,
- 10:04Speaker 2: Ashley and Jared are at a restaurant depot, pretty much
- 10:07Speaker 2: a large Costco for restaurants. They're great places. That is
- 10:13Speaker 2: exactly the scene that I would want to see Ashley
- 10:16Speaker 2: and Jared in Ashley. I would imagine Ashley goes ham
- 10:20Speaker 2: at a Costco.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, Yeah. I don't think she's been in a while,
- 10:25Speaker 3: but she does love a good bargain.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, she loves a good bargain, and I would just
- 10:29Speaker 2: imagine she likes buying in bulk. Yeah, she like buying
- 10:32Speaker 2: in bulk.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Well, I mean, honestly, her house is never stocked with things.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I think she is away a lot of the time.
- 10:39Speaker 3: But you could starve at her house. Yeah, she should
- 10:42Speaker 3: be buying in balkmore. You have to find scraps of
- 10:46Speaker 3: food to survive in that house.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, or ten day old spaghetti.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:51Speaker 2: This is where we see the Rosy and Kelsey stuff
- 10:54Speaker 2: starting to come to a head. Rosie facetimes Ashley during
- 10:56Speaker 2: this and lets her know that trivia still on. She
- 11:00Speaker 2: wants her there, but Kelsey will also be there. At
- 11:02Speaker 2: this point, Rosie is saying, I'm not doing it. In fact,
- 11:06Speaker 2: I was kind of like in the back of my head, going, Ashley,
- 11:10Speaker 2: let Rosie not come, Like, if she's offering it up,
- 11:12Speaker 2: not to be there. This is a good way to
- 11:15Speaker 2: not create any drama. But Ashley, I think, in her
- 11:18Speaker 2: own unique way, thought, no, this will be fine. It's
- 11:22Speaker 2: trivia and I to Audrey's and everybody's gonna get along.
- 11:26Speaker 2: There's not going to be anything that happens here. This
- 11:28Speaker 2: is a family place. That's one point I want to
- 11:31Speaker 2: make that families come and enjoy themselves at How could
- 11:35Speaker 2: anything happen? We know that, you know, Ashley and Rosie
- 11:39Speaker 2: are friends, but this is also a good opportunity for
- 11:41Speaker 2: Ashley to step out outside of Rosie and she doesn't.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Do it well on talk to someone else.
- 11:49Speaker 2: It would be big. It would have been a I
- 11:51Speaker 2: think looking back, we'd have to ask Ashley. I'm wondering
- 11:54Speaker 2: if hindsight is yeah, I should have just let Rosie
- 11:56Speaker 2: not come, like if Kelsey was gonna come. Either way,
- 11:58Speaker 2: I should have said Rosie, please, it's not worth it
- 12:01Speaker 2: for me.
- 12:01Speaker 3: I agree. I feel I felt like a little I could.
- 12:06Speaker 3: First of all, when Rosie said she wasn't gonna come,
- 12:08Speaker 3: you could see the terror in Nashley's eyes. She's like,
- 12:10Speaker 3: I'm going to have to talk to these women. You
- 12:12Speaker 3: have to come. I'll find a way, and she said
- 12:14Speaker 3: she needed to take time for some clarity on how
- 12:16Speaker 3: she's going to leave at the situation. But yeah, it
- 12:21Speaker 3: would have been great, and especially the way she split
- 12:23Speaker 3: the tables up, thinking that would be a great idea trivia.
- 12:27Speaker 3: They ended up pushing the tables together anyway and just
- 12:30Speaker 3: had at it. It was just it was a hard,
- 12:33Speaker 3: hard watch.
- 12:34Speaker 2: It was a hard watch because it is sensitive and
- 12:37Speaker 2: it is close to home here. But throughout this episode
- 12:41Speaker 2: we also have to continue along with the storylines that
- 12:43Speaker 2: have existed since episode one. That's where we see Rula
- 12:46Speaker 2: and Alicia at the beach day. Rula continues to make
- 12:51Speaker 2: appearances per episode, which makes me think that the show
- 12:54Speaker 2: really wants her involved. However, she is not a part
- 12:57Speaker 2: of the group by any means. We've seen her with
- 13:00Speaker 2: the group just to select few times. It feels to
- 13:04Speaker 2: me that she at some levels only agreeing to things
- 13:08Speaker 2: that are one on one and it's only when she
- 13:12Speaker 2: can kind of continue to push Joellen into this place
- 13:15Speaker 2: of I don't Joellen thinks she's an investigator, but she's not. However,
- 13:21Speaker 2: it's interesting Lauren to me that Alicia is on the
- 13:24Speaker 2: beach with her going yeah, but I know she kind
- 13:28Speaker 2: of is an investigator. She has more proof than what
- 13:32Speaker 2: you want to, you know, admit to or see.
- 13:36Speaker 3: It would have been a perfect opportunity to tell her
- 13:38Speaker 3: about the video. You could tell Rula was getting upset
- 13:41Speaker 3: when she was talking about Brian and how he used
- 13:44Speaker 3: to look at her in a certain way and he
- 13:46Speaker 3: doesn't like really look at her anymore like that, and
- 13:49Speaker 3: I would have been like, girl, if you're already sad,
- 13:52Speaker 3: now let's just cut it off. You'll have another man
- 13:55Speaker 3: who'll worshiped the ground you walk on again. And this
- 13:59Speaker 3: is why we need to wrap it up. Here's the video.
- 14:01Speaker 3: You and I are one on one now, but then
- 14:04Speaker 3: the a friend Amanda or something for Joellen's neighbor walks
- 14:09Speaker 3: up to them, and Rula is like, she also had
- 14:11Speaker 3: issues with Joe Ellen.
- 14:14Speaker 2: And that's that proves this big point that I don't
- 14:16Speaker 2: think got proven at all.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, Joellen was correct, So what are you
- 14:21Speaker 3: talking about?
- 14:22Speaker 2: And Amanda, maybe the reason you haven't seen Joellen recently
- 14:24Speaker 2: is because she's been filming this show that Rula's supposed
- 14:27Speaker 2: to be a part of. YEA, there could be that
- 14:30Speaker 2: there is an interesting line in here, Lauren that I
- 14:33Speaker 2: would love to get your perspective on. As somebody married
- 14:36Speaker 2: with child. Rula says that, you know, Brian used to
- 14:41Speaker 2: worship the ground she walked on, so she can't, you know,
- 14:45Speaker 2: picture this kind of scenario playing out now in recent memory.
- 14:48Speaker 2: But she says used to. Now Rula is still I
- 14:51Speaker 2: don't know how old she is, she's beautiful. Yeah, she's
- 14:55Speaker 2: you know, obviously somebody that has like a solid family connection.
- 14:59Speaker 2: There's a lot of things pointing there. It's like, hey,
- 15:01Speaker 2: as a wife, she seems to be an incredible partner
- 15:05Speaker 2: and also would look good doing it, you know, like
- 15:09Speaker 2: she's there's nothing love. What's not to love is a
- 15:11Speaker 2: better way to say it.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:13Speaker 2: For Brian to stop, though, and and for her to
- 15:17Speaker 2: use that language makes me think that maybe that would
- 15:19Speaker 2: be a red flag, Like if I came home to
- 15:21Speaker 2: my wife, I hope she would say to people that
- 15:24Speaker 2: I would treat I treat her well. Five years from now.
- 15:27Speaker 2: She's like, yeah, Ben used to treat me so great.
- 15:29Speaker 2: We used to have this great marriage. That's a really
- 15:32Speaker 2: sad statement.
- 15:33Speaker 3: It's so sad. I was so sad for her when
- 15:35Speaker 3: she said that.
- 15:36Speaker 2: But it didn't feel like she was trying to say
- 15:38Speaker 2: it out of a place of sadness. It felt like
- 15:40Speaker 2: to me she was trying to say to prove her
- 15:42Speaker 2: point that there's no way Brian could be stepping out. Really,
- 15:46Speaker 2: I don't know. You argue they tell me that you
- 15:47Speaker 2: saw it differently.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I just saw it as like it was a really
- 15:51Speaker 3: hard time he I never would have expected this because
- 15:54Speaker 3: he used to walk worst of the ground I walk on,
- 15:58Speaker 3: and then this happened, and now we're just trying to
- 16:01Speaker 3: get back to that good place, not like he couldn't
- 16:05Speaker 3: be doing it again.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I mean, I think you and I saw it two
- 16:08Speaker 2: different ways. I don't know which one can.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Even I can't even see it the way. I can't
- 16:11Speaker 3: even try to see it the way you saw it.
- 16:13Speaker 2: I felt like she was justifying the fact that she
- 16:16Speaker 2: doesn't think anything is happening by saying, no, he used
- 16:20Speaker 2: to where's the ground I walk on?
- 16:22Speaker 3: I just thought it was a sad statement, and Alicia
- 16:25Speaker 3: seemed like, all sweetie, like that's dreadful.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Alicia's an interesting person to have as a listening ear.
- 16:32Speaker 2: She doesn't really give she cares, and I think that's
- 16:36Speaker 2: an amazing part of Alicia through this whole season is
- 16:39Speaker 2: she cares. She cares about so much. This episode get
- 16:42Speaker 2: into her conversation about getting ownership in the pizza spot,
- 16:46Speaker 2: but she doesn't really give advice or give any insight.
- 16:51Speaker 2: She's I think, just a good listener and she I
- 16:53Speaker 2: think she's one of those people that you know you
- 16:56Speaker 2: want to call her up and talk to her about
- 16:57Speaker 2: some of your stuff, because they're always going to agree
- 16:59Speaker 2: with you no matter what she actually thinks. She's just
- 17:02Speaker 2: gonna shake her head. Yes, Oh yeah, I know.
- 17:06Speaker 3: I think that's sweet. That's why Rosie and Kelsey both
- 17:11Speaker 3: go to her, and she's like, you're right, you're right,
- 17:12Speaker 3: You're right, Rula, You're you're in a great marriage whatever. Great,
- 17:16Speaker 3: great great. I kind I'm kind of that way, Honestly.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I don't know if it's a great quality or not,
- 17:20Speaker 3: but I will agree with anyone who's in front of me,
- 17:22Speaker 3: and then maybe afterwards say, I don't know about that,
- 17:27Speaker 3: but Alicia, Alicia's not going to be the one to
- 17:31Speaker 3: tell Rula like how it is, because Alicia's standing there
- 17:35Speaker 3: being like, Rula, you tell me how it is and
- 17:37Speaker 3: how I should get my name on this business. You know,
- 17:40Speaker 3: Like she's trying to get advice from Rula because she
- 17:42Speaker 3: Rula is the strong one.
- 17:44Speaker 2: But is she also considers herself a financial expert? I
- 17:49Speaker 2: think is her words, I might have missed this. How like,
- 17:52Speaker 2: where is that coming from? Is that is she like
- 17:54Speaker 2: an advisor?
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yeah, she owns a wealth management company.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Okay, so she's coming at this from a place of
- 18:02Speaker 2: authority trying to help Alicia through this process. It gets
- 18:07Speaker 2: very interesting for a second where I think both ladies
- 18:11Speaker 2: are kind of talking about what life would look like
- 18:13Speaker 2: post husband.
- 18:15Speaker 3: I know, I'm a kind of confused why Alicia. I mean,
- 18:18Speaker 3: I understand why Alicia's concerned, but it's not like she's
- 18:20Speaker 3: trying to get out of this marriage.
- 18:33Speaker 2: And when we see the two of them together, we'll
- 18:36Speaker 2: just skip to that part because I think it kind
- 18:38Speaker 2: of ties in here. Alicia and her daughter are doing this. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:45Speaker 2: it's so middle school presentation. I know, but it's awesome.
- 18:50Speaker 2: It's awesome.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I know it's amazing.
- 18:53Speaker 2: But the daughter's hilarious in cue and Alicia is honestly
- 18:58Speaker 2: hilarious and cute there this. It doesn't give business owner
- 19:03Speaker 2: vibes necessarily, like, hey, you will be the one making
- 19:06Speaker 2: decisions on behalf of this restaurant, like as her partner says, like,
- 19:11Speaker 2: there is a lot of things that are said that
- 19:12Speaker 2: are far reaching, so let's start with one thing and
- 19:16Speaker 2: build from there. But it does show that Alicia cares,
- 19:20Speaker 2: and I think that's an important point. It also, I
- 19:24Speaker 2: have yet to see Lauren through this. Out of all
- 19:26Speaker 2: the husbands. We obviously have Jared, who can do no
- 19:30Speaker 2: wrong in any.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Of our walls.
- 19:33Speaker 2: But her partner Billy has always shown to be supportive
- 19:38Speaker 2: of Alicia. Knowing what we know about Alicia, he doesn't
- 19:41Speaker 2: like he kind of makes fun of her in like
- 19:43Speaker 2: a flirty way. He enjoys her funny stuff that she says.
- 19:49Speaker 2: He deals with the dolls. It never feels like he
- 19:53Speaker 2: has been like mean to her. I do believe that
- 19:56Speaker 2: we're getting a sense of when they first met, he
- 19:58Speaker 2: was probably like, Hey, this isn't some I need to
- 20:00Speaker 2: bring into the business. But they've been together long enough
- 20:03Speaker 2: that he just wanted her to maybe speak up and
- 20:05Speaker 2: say I want to be involved in the business. Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I think honestly, her ideas are great. They're really cute,
- 20:11Speaker 3: her little notes, the hard pizza. She has great ideas.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I don't think she's exactly like an executor. I think
- 20:16Speaker 3: she's more of the creative side. And I think that's
- 20:18Speaker 3: what he's just trying to convey, like he's not. She's like,
- 20:21Speaker 3: I would you trust me to run the business if
- 20:23Speaker 3: you died or something. He's like, no, yes, that is
- 20:27Speaker 3: the correct answer. She would not run the business. Well,
- 20:30Speaker 3: she took a great offense to the fact that he
- 20:32Speaker 3: has a money manager to take care of the books
- 20:35Speaker 3: and everything like that and investments, and I wouldn't take offense.
- 20:39Speaker 3: So that doesn't sound fun to me. That would be
- 20:41Speaker 3: amazing to have a money manager.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's exactly how she.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Got to know that she's not gonna be good at it.
- 20:50Speaker 2: And I like that he's honest with her. There's obviously
- 20:52Speaker 2: other people involved in this restaurant group, and so he
- 20:56Speaker 2: can't he can't just put his foot down and say, hey,
- 20:59Speaker 2: Alicia is also going to now come in as an owner,
- 21:01Speaker 2: because probably those men and women would say, well, yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 2: my spouse is now also then. So he's navigating it
- 21:08Speaker 2: by giving her some of the shares so that she
- 21:10Speaker 2: can collect a dividend or have some ownership in this
- 21:13Speaker 2: she can continue to create and expand and do her thing.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I found this to be a really sweet scene me too.
- 21:22Speaker 2: A couple was like earnestly communicating something that honestly, I
- 21:27Speaker 2: bet both of them feel like they should have communicated
- 21:30Speaker 2: five years previously.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yeah. I think they probably just felt comfortable and then
- 21:34Speaker 3: the year after year things happened, and then they hear
- 21:36Speaker 3: she has left with nothing. But I liked when he
- 21:39Speaker 3: was like ten percent of Billie's share, not like the
- 21:43Speaker 3: restaurant's share, and there was like if I work, So
- 21:45Speaker 3: she actually wants to be held accountable.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Yes, because it means she's probably easily distracted. Yeah, she
- 21:53Speaker 2: has a lot of friends, she's filming a show. I
- 21:55Speaker 2: actually have to work to get this, and I think
- 21:58Speaker 2: it's wonderful. So it was a sweet scene. I think
- 22:00Speaker 2: we're seeing that couple continue to grow together, which is
- 22:04Speaker 2: awesome to watch during this crazy franchise that seems to
- 22:09Speaker 2: be pointing out every issue relationally that exists between all
- 22:13Speaker 2: these couples, it's nice to see one work together. Not
- 22:16Speaker 2: much different Lauren during the kind of the heart of
- 22:19Speaker 2: the episode in the middle of the episode, where we
- 22:20Speaker 2: see Joel and Liz and Kelsey with their significant others
- 22:24Speaker 2: go out to dinner. For the most part, this was
- 22:27Speaker 2: it felt like a conversation touching on the rosy situation.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Nothing new came from it, but we do get Kelsey
- 22:34Speaker 2: bringing up the scenario where, hey, is it weird that
- 22:36Speaker 2: my ex is still paying for everything? While at the
- 22:40Speaker 2: same time bill is sitting next to her, and it's
- 22:43Speaker 2: pretty clear that Bill has probably said something to her
- 22:47Speaker 2: in private saying Kelsey, this is weird and you and
- 22:49Speaker 2: I are growing together, but he we're still collecting a
- 22:52Speaker 2: paycheck from this guy.
- 22:54Speaker 3: That was the only note I wrote for the whole episode.
- 22:56Speaker 3: I usually write lots of notes. I was like, the
- 22:58Speaker 3: only one thing that really stood out to me was
- 23:01Speaker 3: how weird that is and how she mentioned but if
- 23:06Speaker 3: I get serious with Bill, then I don't get this money.
- 23:11Speaker 3: So this rich man is holding this over her head?
- 23:15Speaker 3: What to keep her on a little string?
- 23:18Speaker 2: Well, I think that's where the question came from, is
- 23:20Speaker 2: like what does he get out of this? Like, what's
- 23:21Speaker 2: happening for him? Kelsey? I don't think wants to stay
- 23:25Speaker 2: on this dude, you know, dime and live off this
- 23:28Speaker 2: guy's money for the rest of her life. I did
- 23:31Speaker 2: did I meant? Did I miss or mishear it that
- 23:35Speaker 2: Liz's husband says, Hey, when we first met her ex
- 23:38Speaker 2: was still sliding money out of the door. Yeah. Is
- 23:41Speaker 2: this a Rhode Island thing? Is this an East Coast thing?
- 23:44Speaker 2: Like when they're not married?
- 23:45Speaker 3: Totally acceptable, totally acceptable. I was like, this is not
- 23:48Speaker 3: a normal situation.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I don't think so. I don't know. I've never met
- 23:53Speaker 2: anybody that's dated somebody long term, broken up and then
- 23:59Speaker 2: the ex supports the ex girlfriend with cash, Like I
- 24:05Speaker 2: just I don't know that scenario. I've never heard of
- 24:08Speaker 2: that being a thing.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I've only heard it from like actual sugar baby arrangements,
- 24:15Speaker 3: not actual relationships that doesn't have alimony. Very interesting. Liz
- 24:21Speaker 3: was saying something else like of what that relationship entailed,
- 24:25Speaker 3: I can't really remember, but Liz was so like supportive
- 24:31Speaker 3: of Kelsey, basically saying it was like a marriage. She
- 24:34Speaker 3: gave her life, yeah, And Kelsey was like, I gave
- 24:36Speaker 3: my life, Like you didn't give your life. You gave
- 24:39Speaker 3: like maybe twenty five percent of it, Like it wasn't
- 24:42Speaker 3: a marriage, Like everyone was sleeping with other people, traveling
- 24:46Speaker 3: around like that wasn't anything.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Well, and Kelsey got free room and board and got
- 24:53Speaker 2: to use a pool, a chef, you know, a trainer
- 24:56Speaker 2: probably like this, this wasn't like a bad scenario for her.
- 25:01Speaker 3: She's like yeah, She's like I gave the best years
- 25:03Speaker 3: of my life. And it's like you didn't. I mean, yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 3: you did, but you didn't have to. You weren't like
- 25:07Speaker 3: slaving over the stove or like raising children well.
- 25:11Speaker 2: And I wonder how Bill feels listening to this because
- 25:14Speaker 2: she's saying all this stuff, and I wonder if he's
- 25:17Speaker 2: sitting there being like, hey, Kelsey, like I just want
- 25:19Speaker 2: you and I to be thriving together, Like I want
- 25:23Speaker 2: that chapter to be done. You gave up your twenties,
- 25:26Speaker 2: you're thirty. We have a lot of life ahead of
- 25:29Speaker 2: us together. Let's build on this together, because this like
- 25:33Speaker 2: check kind of like looms over us and it is
- 25:37Speaker 2: a little yeah, the masculating like it is a little
- 25:41Speaker 2: bit of the hey, like I want to provide with
- 25:45Speaker 2: you and for you. Can we now make this work? Yeah?
- 25:48Speaker 3: No, it's definitely bizarre. I'm assuming the guy is still
- 25:54Speaker 3: giving her money because she has no other form but
- 25:59Speaker 3: if she is with Billy, then no other form of income.
- 26:03Speaker 3: But then she is with Billy, then Billy could take
- 26:05Speaker 3: care of her. So it's like take let your old
- 26:06Speaker 3: man take care of her. So maybe the old man
- 26:09Speaker 3: thinks Billy has no money.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Yeah, but we know from Kelsey in previous episodes that
- 26:15Speaker 2: he's doing fine. He's not. He doesn't have the pool
- 26:18Speaker 2: with the chef and the personal trainer, but he is
- 26:22Speaker 2: making his way, and obviously he can order a nice
- 26:25Speaker 2: steak at a nice steakhouse and not have any concerns,
- 26:29Speaker 2: which is nice for him. Hey, Lauren, we get into
- 26:33Speaker 2: this scene that is very personal to you. Let's set
- 26:37Speaker 2: the stage. Though you've been to Audrey's many times, I've
- 26:39Speaker 2: been to Audrey's twice in my life. It is a
- 26:41Speaker 2: wonderfully beautiful place, usually full of kids and families, drinking
- 26:46Speaker 2: tremendous coffee or cocktails, eating great food in a nice,
- 26:51Speaker 2: relaxing environment. It even has a fireplace, which is so special.
- 26:56Speaker 3: So yes, it's the highlight of Audrey's or Aubrey if
- 27:00Speaker 3: you ask Alicia.
- 27:02Speaker 2: I like how they corrected it. Yeah, Ashley, you can
- 27:05Speaker 2: tell put a lot of thought and effort into this night.
- 27:09Speaker 3: I mean, this is her showing off her place of business,
- 27:12Speaker 3: which just like Alicia shows off all of her restaurants.
- 27:16Speaker 3: I guess she's worried that no one will be able
- 27:18Speaker 3: to hear the questions over the arguing and fights with
- 27:22Speaker 3: Kelsey and Rosie. And yeah, I guess she was right.
- 27:26Speaker 3: You could see the worry on her face. Yet again,
- 27:27Speaker 3: she can't hide anything. She's very scared, very concerned, so
- 27:31Speaker 3: awkward keeps saying, quote, it's gonna be fun, It's gonna
- 27:35Speaker 3: be fun. I think this will be good, and it's like, stop.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Ashley seems so overstimulated during this. Yes, yes, she she
- 27:45Speaker 2: seems so out of her element. And because I do
- 27:50Speaker 2: think and you tell us you obviously know Ashley better
- 27:54Speaker 2: than I ever will or anybody listening ever will, why
- 27:57Speaker 2: is Ashley so now? Get granted, I like, I don't
- 28:02Speaker 2: think it was wrong of her. I'm not. I think
- 28:04Speaker 2: Ashley who had every right to hate what was happening
- 28:07Speaker 2: at her coffee shop on a big night, trivia night
- 28:10Speaker 2: with fans and friends there, I understand why, But like, why,
- 28:16Speaker 2: out of all the other women there, why was Ashley so.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Well? I think she probably thought, oh, this is my thing.
- 28:27Speaker 3: I will have control over it a little bit more.
- 28:30Speaker 3: It's gonna have to be a good time, because every
- 28:32Speaker 3: time it's been so chaotic, maybe this will be the
- 28:34Speaker 3: time where we all actually enjoy enjoyed time together. And
- 28:39Speaker 3: I know that the food's gonna be good and the
- 28:41Speaker 3: drinks are gonna be good, and trivia's fun and you
- 28:43Speaker 3: can't like argue that much during trivia. And so that's
- 28:47Speaker 3: one part of it. Another part of it is actually
- 28:49Speaker 3: like growing up like never had like a huge like
- 28:52Speaker 3: friend group, no sorority, you know, nothing like that. So
- 28:54Speaker 3: like women arguing is very foreign to her, and it's
- 28:59Speaker 3: like we never are with each other, so it is
- 29:02Speaker 3: it is triggering for her to hear arguing. So that's
- 29:06Speaker 3: kind of like two thin reasons of why she was
- 29:09Speaker 3: tightly wound.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Is she also competitive?
- 29:12Speaker 3: She also competitive? Yes, she loves she loves trivia and
- 29:15Speaker 3: all the nerdy stuff. Obviously we can tell that she
- 29:18Speaker 3: wants I think she was trying to distract everyone by
- 29:21Speaker 3: asking like the questions and keeping like, Okay, we're here
- 29:24Speaker 3: for trivia. What is this question? What's his answer to be, like, okay,
- 29:27Speaker 3: stoping arguing?
- 29:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I wondered if it came from a place of competitives,
- 29:32Speaker 2: because I do know Ashley is competitive. Even though she
- 29:35Speaker 2: isn't the most athletic person, we know she is competitive,
- 29:39Speaker 2: and this is I know she loves trivia night at
- 29:41Speaker 2: Audrey's and she loves supporting Jared during this. Jared has
- 29:46Speaker 2: always been that he can handle this stuff well, he
- 29:50Speaker 2: just allows it to kind of like filter through. I
- 29:53Speaker 2: think his breaking point would have been such a guy thing. Yeah,
- 29:56Speaker 2: the breaking point would have been if like this to
- 29:58Speaker 2: cuss or being thrown, I think could have been like, hey,
- 30:00Speaker 2: you guys gotta get out Lauren. Has there been any
- 30:03Speaker 2: backlash though? I mean, do you think the people there
- 30:06Speaker 2: were loving that this was happening in front of them
- 30:08Speaker 2: because it was distracting?
- 30:09Speaker 3: Right?
- 30:10Speaker 2: TVs make it obviously right up in our face, But
- 30:13Speaker 2: it was loud enough, it was distracting enough that everybody
- 30:16Speaker 2: in that room knew what was happening, right, Yeah.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I mean I think they they put out a flyer
- 30:23Speaker 3: being like, if you want to be part of Housewives
- 30:26Speaker 3: or filming or something, you have to sign this, So
- 30:29Speaker 3: they knew they were going to be part of it,
- 30:31Speaker 3: and I'm sure they were hoping for some drama, some
- 30:33Speaker 3: action going there.
- 30:34Speaker 2: There were kids there.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Sure, it was crazier than they ever could have imagined.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Women are hiding ander.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Tables, women are hiding under tables.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Ash was obviously crying and screaming.
- 30:45Speaker 2: And words like adult words are being thrown around. I
- 30:50Speaker 2: only did I saw kids there, and I was like,
- 30:52Speaker 2: I feel like this was a hard thing for the
- 30:55Speaker 2: kids to have to watch.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they know they were saying some crazy words.
- 31:01Speaker 3: They were young each other so much. I guess like
- 31:04Speaker 3: google slam pig one hundred percent one percent. Everyone is
- 31:10Speaker 3: still unclear what it means, but uh yeah I wouldn't.
- 31:14Speaker 3: I probably wouldn't bring your kid to it filming over housewives,
- 31:17Speaker 3: but I'm sure they loved it actually, Like they may
- 31:20Speaker 3: not have played real trivia or one Audrey's gift card,
- 31:23Speaker 3: but they were entertained.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Has the show helped Audrey's.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, it's slammed. It's just a slam pig right now.
- 31:33Speaker 2: It's just taking it. It's taking it all.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Yeah. The line is like out the door all the
- 31:39Speaker 3: time now, which is you know. I always say like,
- 31:41Speaker 3: I'm so happy for them, but all the same time,
- 31:43Speaker 3: I'm so depressed because it just means another year without
- 31:45Speaker 3: them moving to Virginia.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but we got to support Audrey's big fan of it.
- 32:00Speaker 2: People have been comparing the scene between Rosie and Kelsey
- 32:04Speaker 2: at the house with a scene I'm unfamiliar with. But
- 32:07Speaker 2: it's a table flipping scene.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Yeah that's New Jersey.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah that existed years ago. So this is going down
- 32:14Speaker 2: in history, the Rosie and Kelcey drama. It's standing the
- 32:17Speaker 2: test of time. It could be talked about years from now,
- 32:21Speaker 2: and I would honestly say that the scene at Audrey's
- 32:26Speaker 2: was even more. I was even more into it as
- 32:30Speaker 2: a viewer than I even was the house scene. The
- 32:31Speaker 2: house scene was kind of shocking, and there was a
- 32:33Speaker 2: lot of yelling over each other at Audrey's, with the
- 32:37Speaker 2: other women responding, other women getting underneath tables, Rosy and
- 32:41Speaker 2: Kelcey like still going at it, everybody trying to kind
- 32:45Speaker 2: of like either play into it or some trying to
- 32:47Speaker 2: calm it down. It was chaotic and it was amazing
- 32:51Speaker 2: to watch in a public space.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's what made it a little more
- 32:55Speaker 3: interesting is because you had spectators. But Kelsey and Rosie
- 32:59Speaker 3: are listening to each other like they're just no one's
- 33:03Speaker 3: listening to each other. So that's why I found it
- 33:05Speaker 3: to be kind of frustrating, because it's just absolutely pointless.
- 33:09Speaker 3: They're not even getting points across there. If they're calling
- 33:11Speaker 3: to other names, they're not able to hear what the
- 33:14Speaker 3: names are. So yeah, I mean we see we see
- 33:17Speaker 3: Ashley lose it because she's overstimulated and she's just literally
- 33:20Speaker 3: cannot believe they're fighting again. Yeah, and then Joeellen was
- 33:25Speaker 3: like you're being embarrassing in your own place. It's like
- 33:28Speaker 3: you guys are starting it, you are making me embarrassed,
- 33:31Speaker 3: and therefore after yell like this.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yeah that was I don't really know what's happening there
- 33:36Speaker 2: where people weren't responding to Ashley with more sensitivity or
- 33:41Speaker 2: even like respect. It was her place. It's Jared and
- 33:45Speaker 2: Ashley's coffee shop.
- 33:47Speaker 3: And Liz goes, oh, you're so sensitive.
- 33:49Speaker 2: It's like it's happening like yeah, she's just saying, please
- 33:53Speaker 2: stop fighting in a business that we survive on. Yeah, like,
- 33:57Speaker 2: I don't want this here. This wasn't my idea. I
- 34:00Speaker 2: actually did it really at any point. I mean, Ashley
- 34:03Speaker 2: was funny. It was like there was moments where it
- 34:06Speaker 2: was like really funny. But I didn't ever feel like
- 34:09Speaker 2: she overstepped.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Yeah, she just I mean they probably were just shocked
- 34:16Speaker 3: to see her voice go above a certain octave when
- 34:18Speaker 3: she yelled. But her asking the girls mid like da dig,
- 34:26Speaker 3: what is the name of the big blue beetle or
- 34:29Speaker 3: whatever the hell it is in Rhode Island, It's like,
- 34:31Speaker 3: excuse me, I don't mean to disrupt this. I was like,
- 34:35Speaker 3: you are such a.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Nerd or such a sweet nerd.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Such a sweet little nerd.
- 34:41Speaker 2: It's just Ashually. It was Ashley in her authentic self,
- 34:45Speaker 2: and I think we've seen it so much this season
- 34:47Speaker 2: where the Housewives does do a fantastic job at bringing
- 34:52Speaker 2: out what I see as authenticity and genuineness. There's no
- 34:57Speaker 2: put it on for the cameras or say the right
- 34:59Speaker 2: thing at the right moment for the cameras. That hasn't
- 35:01Speaker 2: existed during my one season of watching Housewives, and it's
- 35:05Speaker 2: really enjoyable to watch. And as her sister Lauren, as
- 35:09Speaker 2: we closed the chapter on the Audrey's conversation in the
- 35:11Speaker 2: fight between Rosie and Kelsey, did you watch this scene
- 35:16Speaker 2: and say that is my sister, like I see, I
- 35:19Speaker 2: see her in this moment.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Yes. I was watching it with Hunter and we looked
- 35:24Speaker 3: at each other and we just laughed so hard because
- 35:26Speaker 3: we're like, she cannot turn off her personality for anyone
- 35:30Speaker 3: or anything. She will never fake it. It's cringey sometimes,
- 35:36Speaker 3: but she can't hide anything in her face. That was
- 35:40Speaker 3: so Ashley. Everything she did with was so Ashley. I
- 35:43Speaker 3: haven't seen her yell like that before, but she must
- 35:45Speaker 3: have been like absolutely losing it. She usually doesn't yell
- 35:49Speaker 3: like that.
- 35:50Speaker 2: It's a wonderful thing to see. Ashley continues to be herself,
- 35:54Speaker 2: talking about her indigestion, talking about her issues, her nervousness.
- 36:00Speaker 2: We love her for it. People are loving her for Lauren.
- 36:03Speaker 2: We do see you kind of show up on FaceTime
- 36:05Speaker 2: this episode talking with Ashley about toning her hair.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Yes, you've got to tone that right out of your hair. Yeah.
- 36:13Speaker 3: I mean that was like a very really small thing
- 36:15Speaker 3: we filmed.
- 36:16Speaker 2: You get excited though when you hear your voice on TV.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I get a.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Little worried because I don't remember what I say half
- 36:24Speaker 3: the time. But but that was absolutely fine. I said,
- 36:30Speaker 3: nothing embarrassing you've been. I don't know how Ashley watches
- 36:34Speaker 3: these episodes back and being like, what are they gonna clip?
- 36:36Speaker 3: What are they gonna use? I know, oh so I would.
- 36:39Speaker 3: I would throw up every time. But she's she doesn't
- 36:44Speaker 3: have a hard time watching herself now.
- 36:47Speaker 2: She is uh, you know she But I think one
- 36:51Speaker 2: of the reasons now is because she's getting so much
- 36:53Speaker 2: love and she should. Her and Jared are a wonderful
- 36:56Speaker 2: asset to this group. Speaking of hair, Lauren, we did
- 36:59Speaker 2: see on your social media that you were working with
- 37:03Speaker 2: are on Sharon Osborne recently.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Yes, I did let go. It was great. She was
- 37:09Speaker 3: so cool, the sweetest thing in the entire world. Just
- 37:14Speaker 3: I gave her a blow out in her hotel room
- 37:16Speaker 3: and then she went to I think like Congress the
- 37:21Speaker 3: next day or something. She was just so sweet, like
- 37:24Speaker 3: a dormal. She's like, I would love to work with
- 37:26Speaker 3: you again whenever I'm back in DC. So sweet.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Look at you, goodness gracious, just crushed over there. You
- 37:33Speaker 2: got your own podcast. Now you're doing blowouts on celebs
- 37:38Speaker 2: that are going to Congress. You're making it all work more.
- 37:42Speaker 3: You are crushing well, thank you so much.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Okay. Final thing that really happens that we want to
- 37:48Speaker 2: bring up is the Rosie is inviting everybody about Kelsey
- 37:54Speaker 2: to watch the Frank Sinatra performance that her is a
- 38:00Speaker 2: husband or boyfriend her husband husband Rich is putting on.
- 38:06Speaker 2: They get to show a nice little clip of Rich
- 38:07Speaker 2: as a singer back in the day, and Rosie thought
- 38:10Speaker 2: he was super cool. I found it hilarious and weird.
- 38:12Speaker 2: And it looks like he's chewing gum while also doing
- 38:15Speaker 2: a video while he's acting like he's singing. It's a
- 38:19Speaker 2: watch and a half. You've got to make sure you
- 38:22Speaker 2: go back and watch that. But on the car ride
- 38:25Speaker 2: to this performance is really where this episode ends, and
- 38:30Speaker 2: also I think we'll continue on for future episodes. Joelln Liz,
- 38:34Speaker 2: and Alisha on the car ride. One of the reasons
- 38:36Speaker 2: that Rosie is excited about this event is because there's
- 38:41Speaker 2: gonna be no space for them to talk, like to argue,
- 38:44Speaker 2: there's no Yeah.
- 38:44Speaker 3: That's what we thought Trivia was gonna be like too,
- 38:46Speaker 3: look at that. Yeah.
- 38:48Speaker 2: But Joel and Liz and Alicia, all friends in some
- 38:52Speaker 2: form and fashion, are on this car. They're kind of
- 38:55Speaker 2: enjoying themselves with sharkooterie and drinks. But we get to
- 38:59Speaker 2: bring up the Alisha being living on the streets conversation again.
- 39:06Speaker 3: I understand why Alicia was upset when Liz was like,
- 39:09Speaker 3: you were whatever, homeless, and she got upset. She like,
- 39:11Speaker 3: don't tell me basically about my life. And then Liz
- 39:15Speaker 3: is like, I'm saying this as out of the goodness
- 39:19Speaker 3: of my heart to not like make your mom look stupid,
- 39:21Speaker 3: your family looks stupid, you look like a liar. All that.
- 39:24Speaker 3: She's like, I'm literally covering your ass. But obviously Alicia's
- 39:29Speaker 3: hurt and embarrassed and all these things. But then like
- 39:32Speaker 3: Liz goes kind of nuts and Joelin's trying to like
- 39:35Speaker 3: tame the fire, and that pisces Liz off even more.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Who go you said Liz goes nuts or Alicia goes nuts.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Liz goes nuts, I think.
- 39:43Speaker 2: And it makes Alicia even more upset.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Yeah, well, no, Joellen is trying to calm Liz down
- 39:49Speaker 3: and just be like, stop talking, just let Alisha simmer now.
- 39:53Speaker 3: And then Liz goes off, and especially with the teaser
- 39:57Speaker 3: from next week Joe Allen, and the teaser goes, why
- 40:01Speaker 3: did she say? She goes, I'll punch you in the
- 40:03Speaker 3: face or I'll knock you out, or like I will something,
- 40:07Speaker 3: and that is insane to me to say to Liz.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's a very interest like I feel like
- 40:13Speaker 2: there's more to this story than what is being put
- 40:17Speaker 2: out there. But I would be shocked because it feels
- 40:19Speaker 2: like they're hiding nothing. But even if Alicia did say this,
- 40:23Speaker 2: well she did say it, I get where Liz would
- 40:26Speaker 2: be like, hey, not true. Let's not play into this narrative.
- 40:30Speaker 3: They do semantics of like what is homeless, what is
- 40:33Speaker 3: not homeless?
- 40:33Speaker 2: The whole thing, and it just feels like an argument
- 40:37Speaker 2: that nobody's ever going to come to a conclusion on.
- 40:40Speaker 3: I agree. I mean, maybe we should get Alicia's mom
- 40:42Speaker 3: in and since they're all close and Liz has known
- 40:46Speaker 3: her and her aunts, we should all sit down and
- 40:48Speaker 3: being like, would you consider as homeless?
- 40:51Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 40:52Speaker 3: And that could be the bottom line.
- 40:53Speaker 2: One hundred percent. I mean, but I don't know if
- 40:56Speaker 2: either of them would want to hear that, because I
- 40:58Speaker 2: still don't know if they would agree with it where
- 41:00Speaker 2: it'd be. It just it feels like how Alisha remembers
- 41:04Speaker 2: her childhood and the narrative that she has, you know,
- 41:07Speaker 2: continued to live within. And it also feels like Liz
- 41:12Speaker 2: is very much defensive of something there to say, no,
- 41:16Speaker 2: this isn't it now. She doesn't want lying to yeah exist.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I'm sure that's one of the reasons. But they get
- 41:24Speaker 2: really heated over it, and it just feels like it
- 41:26Speaker 2: should never become personal. To me. This feels like Rosie
- 41:29Speaker 2: and Kelsey is it's all personal. They don't like each other.
- 41:33Speaker 2: This scenario, whatever is right or wrong or truth or not,
- 41:37Speaker 2: seems weird to me that it would ever become personal
- 41:41Speaker 2: because nobody's really being affected personally from this.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I think. What I don't think they
- 41:49Speaker 3: can say on the show because it would like take
- 41:53Speaker 3: you out of the moment and break the fourth wall.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Is basically like, if you say this, Alicia, that you
- 41:58Speaker 3: were homeless, all these trolls are going to come out
- 42:01Speaker 3: find out that you actually never were homeless, and you're
- 42:04Speaker 3: gonna look stupid and I'm saving in your ass. I
- 42:06Speaker 3: think that's really what it is, But they can't show
- 42:09Speaker 3: that aspect.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they can't show it, but you'd think Liz would
- 42:12Speaker 2: say it and then Alicia would understand. But maybe Alicia
- 42:17Speaker 2: is still like no, but I'm not lying.
- 42:19Speaker 3: I think she's pushed beyond to this point that she
- 42:21Speaker 3: won't take that. Yeah.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Oh, kind of a weird storyline. Honestly, for me, it
- 42:26Speaker 2: feels like it's misplaced amongst this whole season.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree. I don't know, And it looks like
- 42:33Speaker 3: Joellen is gonna have to fight for Alicia. I guess.
- 42:41Speaker 3: I don't know what what's gonna happen at not Elvis Knight.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Yeah, well that does bring us into next week's episode.
- 42:50Speaker 2: We get to see a sneak peak of Rich's performance
- 42:54Speaker 2: Alicia's crying. Liz does leave the table and outside after
- 42:59Speaker 2: Liz Lee's a take we see what you're talking about?
- 43:01Speaker 2: Where Joellen gets that out of my face and Joel
- 43:04Speaker 2: and says, what did I do? It does seem to
- 43:08Speaker 2: get very heated, Lauren, Joe.
- 43:10Speaker 3: She says, I'll beat the shit out of you. It's insane.
- 43:13Speaker 2: It's getting physical. Yes, physical threats are being thrown out
- 43:18Speaker 2: there now. The fight continues on throughout the whole night,
- 43:22Speaker 2: so we're not getting a sweet, peaceful Frank Sinatra performance.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Somehow the show has found a way to even make
- 43:30Speaker 2: Frank Sinatra not just enjoyable, yeah, easy listening.
- 43:36Speaker 3: I don't know who I mean. I love that people
- 43:38Speaker 3: love this show. I don't know who can turn this
- 43:40Speaker 3: on at the end of the night to wind down.
- 43:43Speaker 2: No, yes, I have to watch at midday. It fires me.
- 43:45Speaker 3: Up, I know. I just I appreciate that people love it.
- 43:47Speaker 3: It's just so stressful.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I would agree. I've been stressed through this whole thing.
- 43:52Speaker 3: All right.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Well that's what we got for this episode of the
- 43:56Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Lauren. We get to see
- 44:00Speaker 2: not enough of Ashley, but just enough to see her
- 44:04Speaker 2: thrive in her own, peaceful, loving way. For next week's episode,
- 44:09Speaker 2: it really doesn't seem like Ashley is a part of it,
- 44:12Speaker 2: because all the previews just show this bickering continue.
- 44:16Speaker 3: We'll get a lot of great facial expressions from Ashley,
- 44:19Speaker 3: that's what we can guarantee.
- 44:21Speaker 2: And a little less like ownership over the event because
- 44:25Speaker 2: it's not her space. So maybe she'll just sit back
- 44:27Speaker 2: and watch and listen, which would probably feel like a
- 44:30Speaker 2: very safe place for us.
- 44:31Speaker 3: And I'm happy to get out of the Kelsey drama for.
- 44:34Speaker 2: A little bit, I would agree. Hey, that's all we
- 44:37Speaker 2: have for you today on the Breakdown of the Real
- 44:40Speaker 2: Housewives of Rhode Island. We're here all week putting out
- 44:43Speaker 2: new episodes, great interviews, breakdowns, and headlines, and then Laura
