- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show on WI.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Well, you know, you see all these public polls, these junkie, cheap,
- 0:09Speaker 2: little flimsy polls. But let's talk to the greatest poster
- 0:12Speaker 2: in the world. I mean, the real polls are behind
- 0:14Speaker 2: the scenes, the ones that candidates use pay a fortune for.
- 0:18Speaker 2: But here's here's the best pollster on earth, John McLaughlin.
- 0:21Speaker 2: His website McLachlan online dot com. But he's been the
- 0:26Speaker 2: pollster for presidents, prime ministers, premiers, senators all over the world.
- 0:30Speaker 2: John McLaughlan, how you doing.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm doing well, because that's a very very nice introduction.
- 0:37Speaker 1: But as well as having survived three presidential campaigns with
- 0:41Speaker 1: President Trump where he made his polster look good, I'll
- 0:43Speaker 1: accept it, all right, He tredit goes to him and
- 0:48Speaker 1: the other the other elected officials work force.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So well, I just take the polls. We'll get to
- 0:54Speaker 2: him in a moment. Let's start with the governor's race
- 0:57Speaker 2: here in New York next year. Bruce Blakeman a Lee
- 1:00Speaker 2: stephonic to me, they're both very popular. I think Blakeman
- 1:03Speaker 2: would be the better choice because he's what he does
- 1:05Speaker 2: right now. He's a governor. He's the governor of Nassau County.
- 1:08Speaker 2: She's a legislator, he's a governor. But where does it
- 1:11Speaker 2: stand pole wise?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Well exactly. I mean, well, first of all, there's only
- 1:17Speaker 1: been one poll that was a serious poll that was
- 1:21Speaker 1: put out there, and that was the Cien Pol and
- 1:23Speaker 1: the Siena Pol had a congresswoman, Stephonic losing by twenty
- 1:28Speaker 1: points and had her upside down. She was twenty eight favorable,
- 1:31Speaker 1: thirty six unfavorable. They didn't even put Bruce in it.
- 1:34Speaker 1: So even though you know Kathy Hochel is very beatable,
- 1:38Speaker 1: she's not popular and most people when somebody knew the
- 1:43Speaker 1: congresswoman's losing to her by twenty points. And I worked
- 1:47Speaker 1: for Lee's Eldon last time, at some point we hit
- 1:50Speaker 1: a wall with forty seven percent, but it was close
- 1:53Speaker 1: enough that we gained congressional seats in New York. And
- 1:57Speaker 1: the bad part about this is somebody like Bruce, let
- 1:59Speaker 1: me tell you are the election he had in Nassau
- 2:02Speaker 1: County was defied the national trends where he got re
- 2:07Speaker 1: elected with twelve percent in an eight point Democrat county
- 2:10Speaker 1: because he's cut taxes and he's kept the taxes low.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Plus he hired hundreds of more police and worked with
- 2:17Speaker 1: ice and it's the safest county in America. So Bruce,
- 2:22Speaker 1: like in Nassau County and in our post election surveys,
- 2:26Speaker 1: well the voters gave him a twelve point you know
- 2:28Speaker 1: landslide and a carry through the rest of the ticket.
- 2:30Speaker 1: He brought all these other Republicans in with them, and
- 2:35Speaker 1: the rest of the state they were losing, like fifty
- 2:36Speaker 1: Republican county legislators up state. They were, you know, they
- 2:40Speaker 1: taking losses in Syracuse and other places. And you know,
- 2:45Speaker 1: even like in Stuffict we lost Riverhead. And so there's
- 2:48Speaker 1: there's we need somebody like Bruce who can win among
- 2:52Speaker 1: Hispanic voters, who won among Hispanic votes, he won among
- 2:54Speaker 1: Asian voters, he won among Jewish voters. I mean in
- 2:57Speaker 1: New York, you have to get thirty five percent of
- 3:00Speaker 1: the vote in New York City to win President Trump.
- 3:03Speaker 1: You know got thirty percent. Zeldon got thirty percent. But
- 3:07Speaker 1: the lease is not getting that. And a lease, you
- 3:10Speaker 1: know is the Bayport is if you get if you
- 3:13Speaker 1: can't win the New York suburbs and you can't win
- 3:16Speaker 1: New York enough vote in New York City, you know,
- 3:19Speaker 1: the Adirondacks aren't going to make it up so upstate,
- 3:22Speaker 1: you know, well, the Republicans are fighting for existence upstate
- 3:25Speaker 1: because the other thing Hulkle did was she moved a
- 3:29Speaker 1: lot of the idd year elections, these town supervisors, a
- 3:32Speaker 1: county legislatiers, they moved into the even year behind the
- 3:35Speaker 1: governor's race. So not only will we have trouble trying
- 3:39Speaker 1: to like defeat Laura Gillen in the Democrat in CD
- 3:44Speaker 1: four Nasaux County or Tom Swasby and Nasaux County. Uh,
- 3:48Speaker 1: you might have Republicans like Nicole Malay Takas, Nicololota, my
- 3:53Speaker 1: one of my favorite, Mike Waller an upstate, You're gonna
- 3:57Speaker 1: have a lot of problems trying to get the Congress,
- 4:01Speaker 1: the Republican of Congress re elected. And uh, Bruce changes
- 4:05Speaker 1: the whole makeup of the race. He's running on a
- 4:07Speaker 1: positive record, a positive view. He's definitely a Trump Conservative.
- 4:11Speaker 1: He had we had President Trump out at the Ryder
- 4:15Speaker 1: Cup in Nasviall County during the campaign and it was
- 4:19Speaker 1: it was turned into like a between Bruce and President Trump.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It was like a USA rally. It was like a
- 4:25Speaker 1: Trump campaign rally. And you know, so and President Trump
- 4:29Speaker 1: after he visited his job apoul in National County was
- 4:32Speaker 1: fifty seven percent.
- 4:34Speaker 2: So Blakely would be the best governor. There's no better choice.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But people say you can't win. A Republican cannot win
- 4:41Speaker 2: in New York City as mayor Republican. And I'm starting
- 4:43Speaker 2: to think we haven't had a Republican governor in twenty.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Years, have we? And no George for Taki that was
- 4:49Speaker 1: it's I mean, he served three terms, and and Bruce
- 4:53Speaker 1: is a lot like George where you know, he has
- 4:55Speaker 1: that personal appeal. I mean, President Trump says, you know,
- 4:59Speaker 1: Bruce's of central casting. He's very likable and and like that.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Siena pol I cided, I mean, Elise's twenty eight favorable
- 5:08Speaker 1: thirty six unfairbles she's already that negative in New York
- 5:11Speaker 1: State among the voters that.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Nowhere republican Republican can win New York, right.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Uh, definitely a Republican could win New York because in
- 5:21Speaker 1: that same poem referring to most voters want somebody new
- 5:24Speaker 1: for governor, and uh, you know, well they want somebody new,
- 5:29Speaker 1: but they're saying, well, lease, isn't it. So let's let's
- 5:32Speaker 1: give Bruce some time to build some support and show
- 5:34Speaker 1: he could potentially beat Kathy Hulkl. So you know that's uh,
- 5:40Speaker 1: you know, we need change in New York. And uh,
- 5:43Speaker 1: definitely right, you're you're familiar with you know, I mean,
- 5:49Speaker 1: and that was with Mayor elect Mundai. Uh, you're going
- 5:53Speaker 1: to need a governor to be a check and balance,
- 5:54Speaker 1: particularly if the legislature gives in on him, like Bruce
- 5:58Speaker 1: has pointed out that Kathy Holk We now wants to
- 6:00Speaker 1: raise the corporate tax in New York from seven percent
- 6:03Speaker 1: to eleven percent. Well, that'll be passed on to consumers.
- 6:06Speaker 1: That won't be good for cost morning. Hey, could and.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Could you guys start using the word tariffs. I love
- 6:11Speaker 2: to do that. When they talk about raising the corporate tax,
- 6:14Speaker 2: it's a tariff. So Democrats want to now put tariffs
- 6:17Speaker 2: on the corporations in New York. It's the same thing.
- 6:19Speaker 1: The difference is no tariffs are on you know, that's
- 6:23Speaker 1: on foreign things coming back to the United States. We're
- 6:26Speaker 1: talking about this is domestic. This is your jobs in
- 6:29Speaker 1: New York. The people that you might work for in
- 6:31Speaker 1: New York. If they get if their corporate taxes go
- 6:34Speaker 1: from seven to eleven. Here they go to Texas and
- 6:38Speaker 1: Florida and Tennessee and you know, it's it's not good.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So they you know, we could lose jobs because of them,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and then the prices get passed on and so hey,
- 6:51Speaker 1: we need we need to like Bruce to stop that.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, no, definitely, Bruce Blakeman. Hey, I'm watching The Morning
- 6:56Speaker 2: Joe this morning. Apparently Donald Trump has the worst poll
- 6:59Speaker 2: numbers ever. He's dying, He's going to be uh, the lowest.
- 7:03Speaker 2: What's the real truth?
- 7:06Speaker 1: We had? And it's on our website. The day before Thanksgiving,
- 7:09Speaker 1: we put out a national survey, We put out a
- 7:11Speaker 1: monthly national survey, and President Trump has a fifty job
- 7:14Speaker 1: approval forty six disapprove among likely voters, people that will
- 7:19Speaker 1: show up next November and vote for members of Congress
- 7:22Speaker 1: and Senate. And you know, I think it could be
- 7:25Speaker 1: it could be higher, but we've got we've got to
- 7:28Speaker 1: sell them that the you know, ironically, that the economy
- 7:32Speaker 1: is doing better. Economy and inflation are still the top
- 7:34Speaker 1: issues and Biden is responsible for most of the inflation
- 7:39Speaker 1: he's dealing with right now. But President Trump had a
- 7:42Speaker 1: great night on Tuesday night when he was out in
- 7:45Speaker 1: Pennsylvania talking about the fact that wages are now growing
- 7:49Speaker 1: faster than the rate of inflation. And you know, the
- 7:52Speaker 1: tax cuts, the no tax cuts on tips, on overtime,
- 7:55Speaker 1: on so security, they don't kick in till January. So
- 7:58Speaker 1: when they start kicking in, you know, our friends like
- 8:02Speaker 1: Larry Kudlow, Steve Moore that you know very well, Steve Forbes,
- 8:05Speaker 1: that's when you'll get even better growth in the economy.
- 8:09Speaker 1: And uh so I think that'll that will help us
- 8:12Speaker 1: next year so that we can keep keep the House
- 8:14Speaker 1: and keep the Senate in uh in Washington, and President
- 8:18Speaker 1: Trump will be out on the campaign trail doing what
- 8:20Speaker 1: he did on Tuesday night, talking about the real facts
- 8:23Speaker 1: about how how the economy is in better shape than
- 8:25Speaker 1: I think, as you said, uh, Joe Scarborough or whatever
- 8:30Speaker 1: they said, you know, I mean before they go back
- 8:33Speaker 1: to Connecticut and their dry limbos and stuff like that.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So but we think we need to I mean, President
- 8:42Speaker 1: Trump is going to make it better for working class voters.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And this affordability issues. As Bruce Blakeman showed us in Nasau,
- 8:50Speaker 1: Democrats can't be for affordability when they want to raise
- 8:53Speaker 1: your taxes. I mean, how that's the least affordable thing.
- 8:57Speaker 1: If the four years of biding inflation to pay higher
- 9:01Speaker 1: taxes in every Democrat for Congress or for Senate voted
- 9:06Speaker 1: for the elected Trump tax cuts laps, which would erase
- 9:09Speaker 1: taxes two or three thousand dollars on every American. And
- 9:12Speaker 1: we can't afford that. And pal's not lower and interest
- 9:15Speaker 1: rates fast enough, because morriage rates are still high, credit
- 9:19Speaker 1: card rates are still high. We got to get rid
- 9:21Speaker 1: of him, and we got to look at Trump tax
- 9:23Speaker 1: cuts work, and friends like Larry Cullo a tell us
- 9:26Speaker 1: they gotta have a boom.
- 9:27Speaker 2: This year, yeah, and next year. Actually, starting January, the
- 9:31Speaker 2: big beautiful bill kicks in. Everybody's going to notice a
- 9:33Speaker 2: big difference in their paychecks starting in January. Well, John McLoughlin,
- 9:38Speaker 2: great stuff. People can go to your website. What can
- 9:40Speaker 2: they see up there? At McLaughlin online dot com.

- 9:47Speaker 1: that I spoke about, and you'll see that. And then
- 9:51Speaker 1: we actually have a history of surveys on that that
- 9:53Speaker 1: go way back, the ones that had Trump beating Kamala
- 9:58Speaker 1: Harris and beating Joe Biden for that. But the press,
- 10:01Speaker 1: the media didn't say that was gonna happen.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yeah, the way, Well everybody go check it out. Well,
