Lee’s Summit is getting its first true specialty sandwich shop—Hometown Subs—is set to open this fall in downtown, taking over the historic Blue Heron jewelry spot on Third Street. Co-owners TJ Kennedy and Will Eames, longtime pals, are bringing a fast, fresh, small-menu vibe with signature subs priced between $8–$14, featuring house-made sauces, daily-baked bread, and freshly sliced meats and cheeses.
