ZZ Top’s legendary drummer Frank Beard is sidelined by serious health issues, forcing the cancellation of their Hollywood Bowl show and prompting a lineup change — Michael Monahan now steps in on drums for the remainder of the tour. Beard, who’s battled foot and ankle problems before, had previously recovered enough to return in September 2025, but this latest setback means Billy Gibbons is now the only original member touring — with Elwood Francis replacing the late Dusty Hill.
