Monday, 24 August 2026 Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk. Matthew 22:15 “Then, having gone, the Pharisees, counsel, they took: how, Him, they might ensnare in word.” (CG) In the previous verse, Jesus summed up the parable of the wedding feast, saying, “Many, also, they are invitees, and few, elect.” Having said that, and fully understanding Jesus’ meaning as conveyed in the parable, it next says, “Then, having gone, the Pharisees, counsel, they took.” The word tote, then, tells us this is chronological.
