- 0:00Speaker 1: Time for a second Date update. I hope we can
- 0:01Speaker 1: make a love connection. Let's see, we have got Matthew
- 0:04Speaker 1: standing by in Glastonbury. Good morning, Matthew, morning. Hi, welcome
- 0:08Speaker 1: to the show. Second Date Update. You're getting ghosted, because
- 0:11Speaker 1: that's what second Date Update is. Tell us about this
- 0:14Speaker 1: date you had with a woman named Jordan.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, so we had a great time.
- 0:19Speaker 3: We went out and just had like really great conversation
- 0:24Speaker 3: and I don't know, I had just an amazing time
- 0:27Speaker 3: with her. She's a really just beautiful, funny girl, like
- 0:32Speaker 3: so much fun. And I've called her twice since then
- 0:36Speaker 3: and just absolutely no response. Totally getting ghosted. And I
- 0:41Speaker 3: just don't have any idea.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Why did you pay for the date I did?
- 0:46Speaker 1: Okay, okay, let me ask you a question.
- 0:49Speaker 5: No, no, no, this is actually going to be a
- 0:51Speaker 5: really good question.
- 0:52Speaker 4: I promise we go. Did you pay attention to your date?
- 0:55Speaker 5: Because I know there are a lot of things happening
- 0:56Speaker 5: right now in the sports world, and if you went
- 0:58Speaker 5: to like a bar, sports bar, there's TVs on, you're
- 1:01Speaker 5: not giving one hundred percent that you should be giving.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Did you pay attention to your dates?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Oh? Definitely, I would never do that. Yeah. Yeah, I
- 1:11Speaker 2: definitely was totally focused on.
- 1:12Speaker 6: Earth good Man, good Man.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Okay, that's good because the one the biggest thing for
- 1:16Speaker 1: me is guys always talk about themselves incessantly and never
- 1:20Speaker 1: ask the woman about herself. On a date. You were,
- 1:23Speaker 1: you were talking to her, you were interested in what
- 1:25Speaker 1: she had to say, and you were asking her questions.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Absolutely, no, yeah, that's like of course. Yeah, definitely was
- 1:32Speaker 2: asking all kinds of questions to find.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Out about her.
- 1:35Speaker 7: You weren't drunk, messy, eater, any of that.
- 1:38Speaker 4: We're just running down the chair.
- 1:39Speaker 7: Yeah, we're just like trying to eliminate any issues.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Oh my god, sounds terrific. God, No, I was. I
- 1:46Speaker 2: was not any of those things.
- 1:47Speaker 6: Okay, fabulous. He sounds like such a lovely guy, I know.
- 1:52Speaker 6: He just sounds like, Hello, Hi is Jordan there?
- 2:02Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, this is Jordan Jordan.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Hey, it's Courtney.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Hey Jordan, it's Walmart Jeff.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Hey Jordan, it's Savannah. You're on the radio. You're on
- 2:10Speaker 1: Kiss ninety five seven this morning.
- 2:13Speaker 8: Oh okay, well.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I suppose I should tell you you're on Second Date Update.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Have you heard of Second Date Update?
- 2:21Speaker 3: Yes, I've heard of update.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Okay, well the reason you're on is because you are
- 2:26Speaker 1: the person that's ghosting somebody. Jordan Matthew called us. He said, uh,
- 2:31Speaker 1: you were beautiful and funny and smart. The day was amazing.
- 2:35Speaker 1: He says, he's reached out you, I think, called, not
- 2:37Speaker 1: even texted like a real old gentleman would do. He's
- 2:40Speaker 1: called you a couple of times, and you're ghosting him.
- 2:44Speaker 8: Yeah, so okay, like I hope that he does all
- 2:50Speaker 8: not listening, but like he was just he was just
- 2:53Speaker 8: too nice and I really don't well, he didn't like
- 2:57Speaker 8: it at all.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, So you're telling me you're ghosting
- 3:00Speaker 1: him because he was like, what happened on the date
- 3:02Speaker 1: that he thought he was too nice? Yeah, explain that's
- 3:05Speaker 1: a weird complaint.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:07Speaker 8: So okay, we get to this restaurant and like it
- 3:09Speaker 8: it's pretty nice. I mean, he helps me get out
- 3:12Speaker 8: of the car, which again very.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Sweet, very sweet, incredibly.
- 3:15Speaker 8: Sure, and I expect him to hold the door open
- 3:17Speaker 8: for me. Instead, I turned around and he's helping an
- 3:19Speaker 8: old couple get into their car, and I was like,
- 3:22Speaker 8: that's sweet, I guess, but also like I want a
- 3:25Speaker 8: man that like will open the door for me before
- 3:27Speaker 8: he helps anyone else.
- 3:28Speaker 1: All right, wait wait wait wait wait, Jordan, you're upset
- 3:32Speaker 1: because he should have helped you out of the car
- 3:34Speaker 1: first and held the door, then help the elderly couple.
- 3:38Speaker 8: Yeah, the fact that it's heard around and like no
- 3:40Speaker 8: one was there because he was helping someone else. Like
- 3:43Speaker 8: it's nice that he's helping someone else, but the fact that, like,
- 3:45Speaker 8: all right, I was just like left there.
- 3:47Speaker 1: All right, Well, that's off. That's awfully minor.
- 3:51Speaker 4: That's it.
- 3:52Speaker 1: That's the only reason you've been ghosting him, I know,
- 3:54Speaker 1: for helping old people.
- 3:55Speaker 8: No, I mean, okay, that was just like the beginning, okay,
- 3:58Speaker 8: then where we're at the dinner table and like honestly
- 4:02Speaker 8: very boring conversation and like I I can't even remember
- 4:05Speaker 8: what it was about, that's how boring it was. And
- 4:07Speaker 8: he then mid conversation gets up and it helps another
- 4:11Speaker 8: woman with her coat as she's leaving, and I'm just like,
- 4:14Speaker 8: am I that born to that? Like in the middle
- 4:17Speaker 8: of a conversation, you gotta go help someone with her coat?
- 4:20Speaker 8: And then he kept like doing the napkin on his lap,
- 4:22Speaker 8: like I feel like it was like it's just like
- 4:24Speaker 8: too much for me, Like I like a guy that's
- 4:27Speaker 8: more on the edge, like I just I don't know.
- 4:29Speaker 8: And also I didn't necessarily find him the most attractive.
- 4:33Speaker 8: He sunds like a doll for him, like he was
- 4:36Speaker 8: six foot one, and like for me, I only date
- 4:39Speaker 8: guys above six foot three, and so like already I
- 4:42Speaker 8: was going into it kind of like I don't know.
- 4:45Speaker 7: But okay, Jordan, so let's take our nice, over six
- 4:48Speaker 7: foot tall guy that respects the elderly and women, and
- 4:51Speaker 7: let's just throw him to.
- 4:53Speaker 1: He's like six'y one. That's that's tall most jazz, That's
- 4:56Speaker 1: what That's.
- 4:56Speaker 4: What I was saying. If this guy is such a catchport,
- 5:00Speaker 4: why don't you date him?
- 5:01Speaker 1: No, this is exactly what I'm saying.
- 5:02Speaker 7: He's tall, he cares about the elderly, about women, like.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Let's bring him on. Jordan, you didn't think he was listening.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Matthew was listening. Matthew, you're just a nice guy that's
- 5:10Speaker 1: apparently only six ones. How dare he be sure? It's
- 5:15Speaker 1: not sure. I'm being sarcastic.
- 5:17Speaker 2: That's like a bad thing to be nice. I'm really
- 5:20Speaker 2: just taken aback by that. I mean, I guess if
- 5:24Speaker 2: that's your thing, then I wish you, you know, very
- 5:27Speaker 2: good luck on your journey to finding somebody mean, a
- 5:31Speaker 2: bad boy?
- 5:31Speaker 1: Are you looking for a bad boy?
- 5:33Speaker 5: Jordan?
- 5:34Speaker 8: I call Matthew back because like, I don't want him
- 5:37Speaker 8: to feel bad, but like that's just like how I
- 5:39Speaker 8: feel like, I feel like I need like a more rigid,
- 5:41Speaker 8: like badass man, and so like I just but also
- 5:44Speaker 8: like I don't feel like I'm an awful person. So
- 5:46Speaker 8: I wasn't gonna call Matthew and be like, hey, you're
- 5:49Speaker 8: kind of too nice.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You don't like, is this really happening right now? You
- 5:53Speaker 1: would just say I don't feel a connection. It was
- 5:55Speaker 1: great to meet you. Maybe you guys both Wow, we disagree.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Jordan is one hundred percent correct.
- 6:02Speaker 3: All right, listen, thank you.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I usually offer, you know, to pay for the next
- 6:06Speaker 1: date if you guys want to go, but this is
- 6:08Speaker 1: a complete like I don't want you, Matthew to be
- 6:11Speaker 1: like a dirty boy or whatever, just because you know,
- 6:16Speaker 1: I don't want you to change for Jordan.
- 6:19Speaker 8: I agree.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Well, listen, I appreciate you Jordan being honest with us.
- 6:24Speaker 8: I try, I really try, except for when I go
- 6:26Speaker 8: then I just stay silent.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Matthew, You've got your answers. Thank you so much for
- 6:30Speaker 1: being on Second Date.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Update two, Thank you so much, very appreciated.
