- 1:04Speaker 1: give wisdom. They said you would come. Hey, welcome back
- 1:11Speaker 1: to the show, Episode eighteen of the Dropping Gems podcast.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Of course, I'm your host, Stevie Brown. You know, every
- 1:17Speaker 1: time I hear the show, I gotta say, or I
- 1:21Speaker 1: should say if I don't say so myself. Our intro
- 1:24Speaker 1: is pretty fire. I love listening to that. Sometimes I
- 1:28Speaker 1: did with my eyes closed. One of my dearest friends,
- 1:30Speaker 1: Namdi okafor who's an immensely talented poet, created that piece
- 1:36Speaker 1: for me. UM, I guess yeah, let me just do
- 1:38Speaker 1: like a little Easter egg behind the scenes right now.
- 1:40Speaker 1: He created that poem for me. And you know, my
- 1:43Speaker 1: inspiration for it was when I was in college. The
- 1:46Speaker 1: Common b album UM had just come out, and or
- 1:51Speaker 1: I had just discovered it at that time, I don't remember,
- 1:53Speaker 1: but it was one of my favorite projects. And at
- 1:55Speaker 1: that time, I had this hour long commute going to
- 1:57Speaker 1: school every day and I would listen to it on CD,
- 2:02Speaker 1: just over and over and over again. And one of
- 2:05Speaker 1: my favorite parts was towards the end the Pops reprised
- 2:10Speaker 1: piece where that was that you know, really gorgeous speaking
- 2:15Speaker 1: over music and it was like, you know, be be
- 2:19Speaker 1: the fish that swims the fastest out of five hundred thousand,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and you know, UM, it just always brought me hope
- 2:27Speaker 1: when I heard it. So when I decided to do
- 2:30Speaker 1: this podcast last year, which shout out to us this
- 2:33Speaker 1: is our one year anniversary. UM. When I decided to
- 2:36Speaker 1: do the podcast, I wanted something like that. I really
- 2:40Speaker 1: wanted spoken word, I really wanted something impactful being said
- 2:44Speaker 1: with you know, a very a motive um and big voice.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And so my boy Nomdi delivered. And then the music
- 2:54Speaker 1: was actually created just for us too by another friend
- 2:57Speaker 1: named day One, who's an awesome producer, done a lot
- 3:01Speaker 1: of music, and I told him, I said, I want
- 3:04Speaker 1: I want some instrumentation. I want some production that sounds
- 3:08Speaker 1: like a mixture between West Coast g funk and elevator music.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So I wanted it to be like my West Coast
- 3:17Speaker 1: roots but also peaceful. So there's that that you'll never
- 3:23Speaker 1: listen to it the same again. Um yeah, So I
- 3:26Speaker 1: love our intros, so shout out to them for that
- 3:28Speaker 1: beautiful work. Alright, today's episode. So what I wanted to
- 3:32Speaker 1: do this episode was share with you this really gorgeous
- 3:36Speaker 1: meditation that I did with one of my dear friends,
- 3:39Speaker 1: one of my favorite human spirits in this world, my
- 3:43Speaker 1: girl Tracy G. And I know probably a lot of
- 3:46Speaker 1: people listening are familiar if you are not, Tracy G
- 3:49Speaker 1: is a phenomenal woman who is just a light in
- 3:52Speaker 1: the world. She's co host on This Way in the
- 3:54Speaker 1: Morning show on Sirius x M. She has an amazing
- 3:58Speaker 1: brand called She's Beating and be She does gorgeous affirmations.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I mean, she is just one of the most poetic
- 4:05Speaker 1: people I've ever met and truly has a divine gift
- 4:10Speaker 1: um for using words to create connections of just true depth.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So I adore her, I celebrate her work, um, and
- 4:21Speaker 1: I just love knowing her and having the beautiful sisterhood
- 4:25Speaker 1: that I have with her. So when a lot of
- 4:26Speaker 1: this stuff first kicked off, all of these hashtag Rona things, um,
- 4:32Speaker 1: you know, she and I were both in a similar
- 4:33Speaker 1: headspace where we were like, how can we serve right now?
- 4:36Speaker 1: You know what, what is a way that we can
- 4:38Speaker 1: connect with people and just really have beautiful sharing and
- 4:41Speaker 1: beautiful conversation. And so she and I decided to do
- 4:45Speaker 1: a zoom meditation, uh and we I believe we ended
- 4:49Speaker 1: up doing the meditation with about five hundred people live
- 4:52Speaker 1: um or at least that's as many as registered for
- 4:54Speaker 1: it for this meditation. And it was a mixture of
- 4:58Speaker 1: me leading a meditation and Tracy leading a really gorgeous
- 5:02Speaker 1: affirmation session with these affirmations that she created that literally
- 5:07Speaker 1: brought me to tears. So it was a really special moment.
- 5:10Speaker 1: It helped me, I think maybe more than I'm assuming
- 5:14Speaker 1: it helped other people because I didn't realize until we
- 5:17Speaker 1: finished how much I personally really needed that moment um.
- 5:22Speaker 1: It really helped me get grounded. It was a reminder
- 5:25Speaker 1: for me and the first you know, weak or so
- 5:29Speaker 1: of this enforced social isolation. It was a reminder for
- 5:33Speaker 1: me how desperately um, my spirit craves being connected to
- 5:41Speaker 1: the things that set it on fire, you know, um.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And it really helped me set the tone for what
- 5:48Speaker 1: I would be doing with my social isolation and really
- 5:52Speaker 1: kind of lit a fire under me to keep creating
- 5:55Speaker 1: so that I didn't get sat stagnant and dragged down
- 5:59Speaker 1: by some of the xiety of this moment that we're
- 6:01Speaker 1: all having as humans. So we did this beautiful meditation
- 6:06Speaker 1: and I decided to share it with you on this episode.
- 6:09Speaker 1: So I'm about to click play on it, and we
- 6:12Speaker 1: are going to get started on this really beautiful about
- 6:15Speaker 1: forty five minute affirmation and meditation session. And Tracy and
- 6:19Speaker 1: I also really kind of explored our thoughts on everything
- 6:22Speaker 1: going on, and we answered some questions that came up
- 6:26Speaker 1: in the zoom and there were some really deeply insightful
- 6:29Speaker 1: things that happened in that zoom chat that you'll be
- 6:33Speaker 1: able to listen in onto. So my recommendation for listening
- 6:38Speaker 1: to this episode is to go somewhere really comfortable, really
- 6:43Speaker 1: private if that's possible, um and really quiet if that's
- 6:49Speaker 1: possible for you. I definitely recommend listening to this episode,
- 6:52Speaker 1: maybe with your headphones, if you know you've got some
- 6:55Speaker 1: little ones running around the house, or just you know,
- 6:58Speaker 1: some noise happening in any kind of I get some
- 7:01Speaker 1: headphones or put this on in like your your beats
- 7:04Speaker 1: pill or you know, whatever kind of speaker system you have,
- 7:08Speaker 1: because I really want this audio to engulf you. I
- 7:11Speaker 1: really want you to imagine as you're doing this meditation
- 7:14Speaker 1: that this audio is hugging you very deeply and supporting you.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And get comforty, sit comfortably where something comfortable. Remember to
- 7:24Speaker 1: just be relaxed as best as you can. And here
- 7:29Speaker 1: we go. I love you, Debby, I love you, beautiful Cord,
- 7:36Speaker 1: thank you, my love. I put a little bit of effort.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna see it. Likes. Thank you. They're from Ikea. No, yes,
- 7:49Speaker 1: oh they're gorgeous. Is it too or is that a reflection?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Uh no, there's two. Yep, there's two. I love it, Debby,
- 7:58Speaker 1: do mind. Can you lead us in prayer A real
- 7:59Speaker 1: quick yes, okay, gave my girl, Mother, Father, God, we
- 8:06Speaker 1: come before you in this moment, with our hearts so
- 8:08Speaker 1: open and expanded to your radiant love. We ask that
- 8:14Speaker 1: you please beam light into us, use us, flow through us,
- 8:23Speaker 1: Allow your divine will and peace to seep out of us,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and guide us as we connect with your beautiful fellow children.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Please help us to be grounded. Please help us to
- 8:37Speaker 1: tap into the deepest parts of our inner knowingness and
- 8:41Speaker 1: our divine connection. We humbly ask God that we are
- 8:46Speaker 1: allowed to serve in this moment and create a grounding,
- 8:51Speaker 1: safe place for the people we are connected with. We
- 8:55Speaker 1: asked for this or something better for the highest good
- 8:59Speaker 1: of ourselves and those connected to us. Amen. And then
- 9:04Speaker 1: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Yeah. I
- 9:11Speaker 1: definitely need this just as much for myself as I
- 9:15Speaker 1: need to like share this with others. You know. I
- 9:20Speaker 1: I really realized when I was reading your affirmations and
- 9:23Speaker 1: I read that one about the inner child, and I
- 9:27Speaker 1: literally my eyes like filled with water, and I was like, Oh,
- 9:30Speaker 1: I really need this. Girl. I was like, Okay, vulnerability,
- 9:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you take lead. I don't want to
- 9:40Speaker 1: like because you know, sometimes if our work very sneakily,
- 9:44Speaker 1: it could become performative, you know, especially because we're now
- 9:50Speaker 1: using our voice in a different way. We're in the
- 9:52Speaker 1: beginning it was a performance, you know what I mean
- 9:55Speaker 1: in radio? It's so true. Yeah, And so I always
- 10:01Speaker 1: just have to like, even for instance, like um shooting
- 10:06Speaker 1: out to you if we should have this on zoom
- 10:09Speaker 1: or on Instagram, and the reason why I wanted to
- 10:11Speaker 1: have it on Zoom private, even though like I realized
- 10:14Speaker 1: with Instagram and it can't Instagram live and it can
- 10:17Speaker 1: be great because so many people in that moment can
- 10:21Speaker 1: come in and it's very easy and accessible and we
- 10:23Speaker 1: got to do all these other like x y Z
- 10:25Speaker 1: type of spin moves. But sometimes just being on I
- 10:30Speaker 1: G Live, I have to ask myself, is there any
- 10:33Speaker 1: part of me that just wants to be seen doing
- 10:37Speaker 1: mm hmmm? Does that make sense? And so if you know,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and if there and if there is a sprinkle of that,
- 10:46Speaker 1: then I'm like, okay, Tracy, like let's recalibrate, like what
- 10:50Speaker 1: is the actual intention of this? And I was like, okay,
- 10:54Speaker 1: we need privacy right now because a lot of our
- 10:57Speaker 1: emotions are coming. Yes, it's great that we're all home
- 10:59Speaker 1: and you can connect, but there's also like a hyper connectivity. Yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 1: Like I've been seeing how so many of us are
- 11:07Speaker 1: on like social media way more. Yeah, during a pandemic,
- 11:14Speaker 1: and I think for two, like for light work like this,
- 11:17Speaker 1: it's just so important that we honor the space. Like
- 11:20Speaker 1: this is a little bit different than like maybe if
- 11:22Speaker 1: we're sharing like a yoga practice on live or something
- 11:25Speaker 1: that pop in or out of Like we really want
- 11:29Speaker 1: to seal this off and hold space, so we don't
- 11:32Speaker 1: want people popping in popping out getting distractive with the
- 11:35Speaker 1: comments like that exactly that be those comments during I
- 11:41Speaker 1: G Live. Oh my goodness, Especially someone like me who
- 11:45Speaker 1: can be like very allergic to linear thoughts, I'm like, rap,
- 11:51Speaker 1: it'll just take me into a different place. Yeah, I
- 11:54Speaker 1: think you know. I was giving that a lot of
- 11:56Speaker 1: thought too, because it's like, of course, it's like everyone
- 11:58Speaker 1: hits you like it's they're the first ones that thought
- 12:01Speaker 1: of it to be like, oh, you should go live
- 12:03Speaker 1: or you should do that, you should I'm like, cool, cool, cool,
- 12:08Speaker 1: You don't really understand the way that I like to
- 12:10Speaker 1: do this work, Like I don't think that like, I
- 12:15Speaker 1: want to have some parameters because you know, a thing
- 12:19Speaker 1: that I think not enough people necessarily know to take
- 12:23Speaker 1: seriously is like we are activating people on a spiritual
- 12:28Speaker 1: level when we're doing this work connected with them. Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 1: it's so irresponsible to activate them without built in safety
- 12:37Speaker 1: and without ensuring that they are hearing the opening and
- 12:41Speaker 1: the closing, because in this work, it's like you have
- 12:43Speaker 1: to send them off with light so that they're just raw,
- 12:48Speaker 1: open wound in the world trying to energetically figure it out,
- 12:52Speaker 1: you know, like we have to hold space for the energy,
- 12:56Speaker 1: close the energy. You know, girl, that's so true. Completely,
- 13:03Speaker 1: all right, I'm gonna hit broadcast. That's cool, hold on,
- 13:06Speaker 1: hold on, okay, okay, I'll shut out the lip gloss.
- 13:11Speaker 1: All right, let's see I have never done this before.
- 13:18Speaker 1: You put this on my story too. Okay. We have
- 13:22Speaker 1: seventeen participants twenty Yeah, welcome, welcome, totally. For you to
- 13:30Speaker 1: speak for everyone who is logging in right now, just
- 13:34Speaker 1: do us a favor. Jump into the chat room and
- 13:36Speaker 1: let us know that you can hear us clearly, that
- 13:38Speaker 1: you can see us clearly as well. Hey, Malik a
- 13:46Speaker 1: a A okay, wonderful, So We're gonna get started in
- 13:54Speaker 1: about five minutes so that everyone who signed up can
- 13:59Speaker 1: slide through and get a slab. Yes that we let
- 14:03Speaker 1: me smile. I love that the L word is popping
- 14:09Speaker 1: off from the back of your phone, and I love
- 14:11Speaker 1: you right back. Yeah. Oh, and some of you guys
- 14:19Speaker 1: have already started this. I love it. Let's share where
- 14:23Speaker 1: we're all residing currently, where we all speed it in
- 14:27Speaker 1: the present moment. I'm in Brooklyn and Prospect Heights to
- 14:32Speaker 1: be exact. And where are you at? I am in California,
- 14:37Speaker 1: Los Angeles. Yes, I can tell by the sun just
- 14:42Speaker 1: kissing your cheeks right now, when I tell you, I
- 14:47Speaker 1: have never been more grateful for the sun, you know,
- 14:50Speaker 1: like really that solar energy, that groundedness is really helping
- 14:55Speaker 1: me mentally right now. Um, I'm not sure how I
- 14:58Speaker 1: know in New York it's the same. I'm not or
- 15:00Speaker 1: in some of the other areas people are checking in from.
- 15:02Speaker 1: But we are on lockdown here, um, and so we're
- 15:07Speaker 1: in the Safer at Home act, so we're not even
- 15:11Speaker 1: um right, meant we actually have some people. Oh, I
- 15:20Speaker 1: hope also just the f y I to everyone, even
- 15:24Speaker 1: though I'm pretty sure because we have some smart souls
- 15:28Speaker 1: in the digital space here um technology can get a
- 15:32Speaker 1: little rocky, especially since we have an overflow of people
- 15:35Speaker 1: who are moving into digital platforms to hold spaces like this.
- 15:39Speaker 1: So give us a bit of grace if the tech
- 15:43Speaker 1: goes in and out, and also feel free to let
- 15:45Speaker 1: us know in the chat because we may not be
- 15:48Speaker 1: aware of it in the moments, and so we can
- 15:51Speaker 1: definitely collaborate on holding things down with our sibling called WiFi.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So let us know. Checking in from South Florida, Montreal,
- 16:02Speaker 1: what's up Atlanta, Dcie make a Queen's North Carolina, Maryland.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I saw Dallas. I'm surprised I not see any of
- 16:13Speaker 1: my h town folks. H Town. Calm it down, by
- 16:19Speaker 1: the way, I put this on my stories, and please
- 16:22Speaker 1: let me know of y'all co sigmus, even though I
- 16:24Speaker 1: will question if you don't silently though freaking Beyonce's Coachella album.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I don't want to call anything the soundtrack to this
- 16:34Speaker 1: pandemic because that just doesn't like, no, that is not
- 16:38Speaker 1: a fun like Wikipedia fact, but that has been holding
- 16:43Speaker 1: me down, just to like you know what I mean,
- 16:48Speaker 1: make sure I have all these different versions of myself
- 16:50Speaker 1: that are along for like this odyssey that we're on.
- 16:53Speaker 1: You know, I do have a side of myself that
- 16:56Speaker 1: is worrying. I have a side of myself if that
- 17:00Speaker 1: is ready like the soldier, and then Beyonce just comes
- 17:04Speaker 1: in like visual, no matter what, We're gonna slay through
- 17:07Speaker 1: this ship like that. It's all of these feelings, especially
- 17:14Speaker 1: because when I listened to it, Beyonce has moments and
- 17:18Speaker 1: Coachella where and just all of her albums where she's
- 17:21Speaker 1: very vulnerable, you know what I'm saying. But no matter what,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and we know that vulnerability can just a lot of
- 17:28Speaker 1: times feel really crappy because you're gifting it to someone
- 17:33Speaker 1: who may not be responsible in your eyes, with such
- 17:39Speaker 1: a fragile state that you're currently in, right, it feels
- 17:43Speaker 1: like they have all this power to harm you and
- 17:46Speaker 1: not help you. But the fact is all of these
- 17:51Speaker 1: dark moments and Beyonce's life and the obvious light whatever,
- 17:55Speaker 1: but they all are ingredients that mixed together create the
- 17:59Speaker 1: most fucking powerful tour. The understand it saying like it
- 18:03Speaker 1: was so necessary for the personal heartbreak that this woman
- 18:07Speaker 1: went through, like the turmoil and when you look at
- 18:10Speaker 1: it in isolation for her and whatever those mirror experiences
- 18:14Speaker 1: for ourselves are. They suck. But then when you zoom out,
- 18:18Speaker 1: when you look at it as an ingredient and not
- 18:20Speaker 1: the final product, just an ingredient, It's like, wow, look
- 18:24Speaker 1: at the potential of this. Does that make sense? To
- 18:28Speaker 1: know that it doesn't make sense a thousand percent? Yeah,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I think especially when we got to see that behind
- 18:34Speaker 1: the scenes, look at how she crafted that performance, and
- 18:39Speaker 1: you're really understanding like the mental fortitude, the resilience that
- 18:44Speaker 1: it took. It was such a mental, emotional, spiritual and
- 18:48Speaker 1: physical transformation for her. The recipe for like a divine
- 18:54Speaker 1: shift in unlocking that level of pressure that you spoke
- 18:58Speaker 1: to UM, And that's us this moment right like exactly
- 19:02Speaker 1: very literally us. It's we are we have this really
- 19:09Speaker 1: aside from some of the stressors, aside from maybe some
- 19:12Speaker 1: of our fears around our basic needs UM and our
- 19:15Speaker 1: futures and the uncertainty obviously you know, we have this
- 19:19Speaker 1: really gorgeous, gorgeous opportunity in this moment to become something
- 19:25Speaker 1: we've never been, you know, And it's so rare for
- 19:28Speaker 1: those moments. A lot of us get to those moments
- 19:32Speaker 1: and spurts usually through pain usually through something um, really
- 19:37Speaker 1: frightening um or really difficult and challenging, and if we
- 19:41Speaker 1: kind of stay connected to ourselves, we're able to push through.
- 19:44Speaker 1: And we have this evolution, this new version. And I
- 19:48Speaker 1: think in this moment especially, there's such a gorgeous opportunity
- 19:53Speaker 1: to come on the other side of this in a
- 19:56Speaker 1: couple of weeks and a couple of months so profoundly different,
- 20:00Speaker 1: aren't so elevated, so evolved um, and really unlock layers
- 20:06Speaker 1: of ourselves we haven't seen yet. You know, this is
- 20:09Speaker 1: like this it's a divine time out kind of. You know,
- 20:12Speaker 1: it's like God said, I need you to sit and process.
- 20:15Speaker 1: And I think a layer and I know we talked
- 20:18Speaker 1: about this tracy like a layer UM that I think
- 20:22Speaker 1: will help kind of put this into perspective is over
- 20:26Speaker 1: the last three years, we have been experiencing growth at
- 20:33Speaker 1: such a fast pace collectively societally, we have been unpacking trauma.
- 20:40Speaker 1: We've been having high level, difficult conversations about things that
- 20:45Speaker 1: have played us as humans since the dawn of humanity. Right,
- 20:49Speaker 1: Like that's no small feet, that's heavy. More like these conversations,
- 20:54Speaker 1: this trauma, everything from the Me Too movement you know,
- 20:58Speaker 1: addressing misogyny, addressing Ray says m addressing you know, gender
- 21:03Speaker 1: biases like sexuality, Like, we are having conversations that none
- 21:07Speaker 1: of our elders had collectively as a society ever since
- 21:13Speaker 1: the dawn of time. Right, But there's a big piece
- 21:17Speaker 1: in that because we are learning the phrases, we're learning
- 21:22Speaker 1: the words, we're learning what the feelings mean. But we're
- 21:26Speaker 1: not given this space to process. And the most important
- 21:30Speaker 1: ingredient for the recipe of growing self is process. So
- 21:36Speaker 1: you know, for me, I kind of and and granted
- 21:38Speaker 1: I want to share with everyone, like, yes, I'm all
- 21:41Speaker 1: about that peace life, and I do have a lot
- 21:43Speaker 1: of tools, but I also in taking this moment by moment,
- 21:46Speaker 1: you know, I'm experiencing disappointment, I'm experiencing a little bit
- 21:50Speaker 1: of grief, I'm experiencing some fear. But when I kind
- 21:53Speaker 1: of reframe it for myself, I say, wow, you know
- 21:57Speaker 1: this is truly collectively we could be creating an entirely
- 22:03Speaker 1: new world in this Come on man, absolutely, Debbie, thank
- 22:09Speaker 1: you for all of that. What really struck out to
- 22:12Speaker 1: me when you're calling it a divine time out. If
- 22:15Speaker 1: we've always been conditioned to look at timeouts as space
- 22:19Speaker 1: for punishment, you know what I mean. But also a
- 22:23Speaker 1: timeout is space for enhancements. You know, like think about
- 22:28Speaker 1: how in order to like reflect, you have to slow down,
- 22:33Speaker 1: like things have to kind of disintegrates, evaporate, just shut
- 22:40Speaker 1: off or at least pause for a second, because of
- 22:43Speaker 1: all the different voices that are outside of us and
- 22:46Speaker 1: our inner voice or the way that I receive God personally.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And y'all let me know if you're relate. But God
- 22:53Speaker 1: has all the patients in the world, so he, she,
- 22:56Speaker 1: or they ain't gonna yell yeah, they go yo, They're
- 23:02Speaker 1: just gonna wait for us to figure out that it
- 23:08Speaker 1: is time to be quiet. Yeah. Yeah. And you know
- 23:13Speaker 1: a tracy the thing that comes up in that, I
- 23:16Speaker 1: think for people that that makes it a little more
- 23:19Speaker 1: charged and difficult. So many of us are not used
- 23:24Speaker 1: to ever spending time with ourselves, and that's where so
- 23:28Speaker 1: much fear comes. And now you're locked in a room
- 23:30Speaker 1: with a stranger, you know, my gosh, Yes, and there's
- 23:35Speaker 1: a stranger that's been family this entire time. And you
- 23:39Speaker 1: know what I often say is that strangers are just
- 23:42Speaker 1: family you have yet to meet. Yeah, Yeah, strangers are
- 23:46Speaker 1: just families have still love, there's still the frequency of love.
- 23:50Speaker 1: We are still all children of the divine, you know.
- 23:54Speaker 1: There we are still interconnected with pieces of each other.
- 23:57Speaker 1: So that stranger so like is glorious version of you
- 24:01Speaker 1: that you haven't tapped into yet. And you know, it's
- 24:04Speaker 1: like all of us, it's like when we really look
- 24:06Speaker 1: at this this divine time out, we are stripped of
- 24:12Speaker 1: everything that could be an obstacle in us meeting the
- 24:15Speaker 1: deepest parts of ourselves. So so many of us can
- 24:19Speaker 1: spend our entire lives never meeting ourselves because we are
- 24:23Speaker 1: being distracted. We are being distracted with things, with events,
- 24:28Speaker 1: with family, with the roles that we play for people
- 24:31Speaker 1: with job titles, right, and so we just keep piling
- 24:34Speaker 1: and piling. Now, everything that you ever thought gave you
- 24:38Speaker 1: worth is being taken from you. Now, every type of
- 24:43Speaker 1: performance based lifestyle, curation, conversation, it is being stripped from you.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And you have the opportunity to really really know yourself
- 24:54Speaker 1: and your value system and yeah, and and be able
- 24:58Speaker 1: to have the time to to create edits because so
- 25:01Speaker 1: many of us have just been on autopilots. Yeah, and
- 25:07Speaker 1: so until the car itself runs out of gas, that's
- 25:11Speaker 1: when you realize, Yo, I don't even like this caruman anymore.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I don't even like this trip I'm headed towards anymore.
- 25:17Speaker 1: You understand saying yeah, you know. Yeah, of you guys
- 25:22Speaker 1: who are familiar with myself, you know that, Like my
- 25:25Speaker 1: love language is analogies. That's just how I'm able to understand.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I think, DEVI should we give it two more minutes
- 25:34Speaker 1: till three fifteen? How does that feel for you? Yeah,
- 25:39Speaker 1: that's great. Let me check in on a couple of
- 25:42Speaker 1: these comments. Yeah, and that's that. Yeah, Yeah, this is
- 25:50Speaker 1: really the moment. I'm very in alignment with that vhs um.
- 25:55Speaker 1: This is the moment to access levels of self awareness
- 25:58Speaker 1: you've never touched before, you know. And as with all
- 26:01Speaker 1: new things, and it's just human nature. It's like we
- 26:04Speaker 1: can be everything at once. We are souls and spirits
- 26:09Speaker 1: having a human experience, but we also have to lean
- 26:12Speaker 1: into the fact that we are half human, you know,
- 26:15Speaker 1: like our humanity is very real and it's okay to
- 26:19Speaker 1: experience the full emotional spectrum of what being a human is,
- 26:24Speaker 1: you know. Um. So it's like we have to lean
- 26:27Speaker 1: into that fear. We have to also call it out
- 26:29Speaker 1: by name. And that's the thing that I think will
- 26:31Speaker 1: be super important during this time. Don't feel ashamed for feeling.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Don't be a tent of yourself for feeling. Call out
- 26:40Speaker 1: what that feeling is. Give yourself the power back by
- 26:44Speaker 1: calling it out by name check in with yourself. I'm
- 26:47Speaker 1: feeling disappointed, I'm feeling scared, I'm feeling like I don't
- 26:56Speaker 1: know who I am right now, and that terrifies me,
- 27:00Speaker 1: you know, and then dig a little deeper. When did
- 27:02Speaker 1: that feeling first come up for you? What other parts
- 27:04Speaker 1: of life have you experienced that feeling in Let's start
- 27:08Speaker 1: giving more depth to our emotional language so that we
- 27:12Speaker 1: can understand it, process it, and then dissolve it and
- 27:16Speaker 1: be done with it. Right, completely agree, And you're not
- 27:19Speaker 1: getting any answers without questions, So and so okay to
- 27:24Speaker 1: feel uncomfortable with self inquiry because we've got a lot
- 27:29Speaker 1: of time to find comfort within it. Yeah, come on, Dabby,
- 27:34Speaker 1: you already know we want to know everything about everybody
- 27:37Speaker 1: else on a daily basis. Right, That's why people are
- 27:40Speaker 1: lacking possip instagrams. That's why we watch news and TV
- 27:45Speaker 1: and reality shows. That's why we're detectives, you know, to
- 27:49Speaker 1: be um. We always want to know everything about everyone, right,
- 27:54Speaker 1: opinions and judgments. Meanwhile, meanwhile, what do you know about
- 27:59Speaker 1: you exactly? Our heart is like our heart is like, yo, bro,
- 28:04Speaker 1: I'm a social media platform. Scroll through everything that I've
- 28:08Speaker 1: been hoarding. Yeah, I need to release that I've been feeling.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Our brain is like hello, sign in comments upload. I
- 28:21Speaker 1: have to shout out the comment Tracy. Tiffany Nicole Um
- 28:25Speaker 1: said something really beautiful. She said she's been singing to
- 28:27Speaker 1: herself in the mirror every day. Um, oh no, I
- 28:30Speaker 1: just lost it. Oh, I see it, I see it
- 28:33Speaker 1: so beautiful. I can pick up She's been saying nice
- 28:35Speaker 1: to meet you to herself and in the evening, I
- 28:38Speaker 1: enjoy wow, Tiffany, moment of silence and praise for that.
- 28:45Speaker 1: What wow, Tiffany? Oh my? Who okay? Seen? I enjoyed
- 28:51Speaker 1: my time with you today. Who you see? And this
- 28:58Speaker 1: is why community we are not meant to just be
- 29:02Speaker 1: alone on earth. I was just saying that to you,
- 29:04Speaker 1: Debbie the other day, like we are not met. Yes,
- 29:08Speaker 1: we have our own personal journeys absolutely, and at the
- 29:11Speaker 1: same token, we have our friends side by side, ahead
- 29:15Speaker 1: of us, behind us, following whatever. But like, damn, tiff
- 29:22Speaker 1: we needed that, Okay, Tiffany. I feel I feel like
- 29:25Speaker 1: Tiffany officially like kick this off. I feel like she's
- 29:29Speaker 1: the catalyst for us, like now formally beginning this meditation
- 29:34Speaker 1: and affirmation session. WHOA, So that's Tiffany in the chats.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Find her. I'm Tracy Tracy g dubbed by Sway Galloway,
- 29:46Speaker 1: Tracy Gerrard, dubbed by my family, my parents, and for
- 29:51Speaker 1: those of you who are unfamiliar with me, I'm a
- 29:54Speaker 1: on air host. I'm a wellness artist, I'm a writer.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I am a fellow earth fling who is so happy
- 30:00Speaker 1: that you guys made the time to join us in
- 30:04Speaker 1: this space, to get off of social media and to
- 30:08Speaker 1: just have some privacy so that we can explore without judgments,
- 30:15Speaker 1: without distraction, without hyper stimulation, you know. And I'm also
- 30:21Speaker 1: um a fellow earthling who has been feeling all the fields, y'all.
- 30:27Speaker 1: And in the sign up, I saw how a lot
- 30:30Speaker 1: of you guys are also experiencing this time. And some
- 30:35Speaker 1: of y'all are worried as fuck, and I get it.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Some of y'all are exhausted, some of y'all are inspired.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Some of you guys are uninspired. Um, guilty if you're
- 30:48Speaker 1: in my I G stories. I was speaking about that
- 30:50Speaker 1: a little bit last night as an emotion that has
- 30:52Speaker 1: been a visitor within my body. UM what else? What else? Confused?
- 30:58Speaker 1: But I bring this all because even though this is
- 31:02Speaker 1: like a grocery list of emotions that I just ran through,
- 31:06Speaker 1: the point is, as individuals and as communities at small
- 31:12Speaker 1: and at large, um our emotions have shifted to the max,
- 31:19Speaker 1: and they have done so without our consent. It feels
- 31:23Speaker 1: like right or not even feels like the facts are
- 31:25Speaker 1: that is it is what it is like. That's just
- 31:27Speaker 1: the flex of a virus. Right. And so there are
- 31:32Speaker 1: like that was saying, because I've been building my own
- 31:36Speaker 1: like personal development hashtag self care what have you toolkit
- 31:40Speaker 1: over the years, there are things that have been helping me.
- 31:45Speaker 1: And what I have found to be the biggest pieces
- 31:51Speaker 1: of treasure in that chest are the basics the power
- 31:55Speaker 1: of my breath like deep in the Buddha belly breath,
- 32:00Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, and then also the power
- 32:03Speaker 1: of my words. And I look at both of those
- 32:06Speaker 1: things also has been following me. You know that affirmations
- 32:09Speaker 1: on my jam I create what are called audio vision boards.
- 32:13Speaker 1: And over the years, as I've just looked at all
- 32:16Speaker 1: the internal dialogue that's been really messy and brought out
- 32:19Speaker 1: my swiffer and just got things as polished as they
- 32:22Speaker 1: could be. Like I recognize, and also of my yoga
- 32:25Speaker 1: teacher training program, I'm in that breath and words are
- 32:29Speaker 1: really a GPS for us, right and so we can
- 32:33Speaker 1: feel like we're moving in all different directions. But I
- 32:37Speaker 1: wanted to create this space of such a dear friend
- 32:41Speaker 1: of mine, Debbie Brown, so that while we're feeling everything
- 32:45Speaker 1: and we can feel our way back to center. So
- 32:50Speaker 1: that's the intention for this afternoon. Uh, Devy is here
- 32:55Speaker 1: with us. She's gonna be leading us in meditation. She's
- 32:58Speaker 1: also Joe Broad certified meditation teacher. I just have to
- 33:07Speaker 1: make that a highlighted moment. But beyond all of that,
- 33:11Speaker 1: I think, with even more permanence, she is just an astounding,
- 33:16Speaker 1: striving soul, you know. So I'm gonna give it away
- 33:21Speaker 1: two DV over it. I am so grateful, UM. I
- 33:25Speaker 1: love you, Tracy. You're just such a pure shining light, UM,
- 33:32Speaker 1: And I'm just grateful for you sharing yourself with the
- 33:35Speaker 1: world and the way that you do. So excited for
- 33:38Speaker 1: your affirmations. Like our kind of run of show for
- 33:40Speaker 1: this is we're gonna do this meditation, I'm gonna play
- 33:43Speaker 1: some sound bowl and then we're gonna have these exquisite
- 33:46Speaker 1: affirmations that Tracy created. And she gave me like a
- 33:50Speaker 1: little bit of a preview of the affirmations earlier, and
- 33:55Speaker 1: the second I read it at my eyes filled with
- 33:58Speaker 1: tears and I crying like I need um. So I'm
- 34:02Speaker 1: really excited for you guys to experience that. So my name,
- 34:05Speaker 1: for those that don't know me, I'm Debbie Brown. UM.
- 34:07Speaker 1: When I used to work in radio, I used to
- 34:09Speaker 1: go by the name Debbie dev I've had the chance
- 34:12Speaker 1: to do radio in a few different states and places. Um,
- 34:15Speaker 1: but for sure on the last um last several years,
- 34:19Speaker 1: I've been fully on my wellness journey. I started a
- 34:22Speaker 1: business called Carna Bliss um my desires to support women
- 34:26Speaker 1: of color and hold space for their healing of generational
- 34:29Speaker 1: trauma in a way that I haven't found um fully
- 34:33Speaker 1: expressed in the wellless world. Still kind of very a
- 34:36Speaker 1: polarizing place. UM. I do have certification from DEEPOC for
- 34:41Speaker 1: primordial sound meditation. I'm a spiritual psychology practitioner. I'm a
- 34:45Speaker 1: raiky healer UM, and I have just kind of devoted
- 34:51Speaker 1: my life to being a seeker and finding answers and
- 34:56Speaker 1: observations about myself and the world that I live in UM.
- 35:00Speaker 1: So I'm really excited to do this meditation with you guys.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I would love to start by just kind of getting
- 35:09Speaker 1: really grounded UM. So we're gonna get into a little
- 35:12Speaker 1: bit of chronic breathing and do some deep breaths. I
- 35:15Speaker 1: wanted to share with you guys the crystals that I
- 35:18Speaker 1: have out for this. This is Crysticola. I love this
- 35:22Speaker 1: stone and this kind of really invokes and you can
- 35:28Speaker 1: kind of see it on it a little bit. This
- 35:30Speaker 1: kind of really invokes like divine flow, like fluidness of water.
- 35:34Speaker 1: This real gentle guiding UM on your journey, really connects
- 35:39Speaker 1: to some of your interior wisdom. And then I also
- 35:42Speaker 1: have this piece of Herkimer diamond UM, which really connects
- 35:47Speaker 1: you to some divine clairvoyance. So this is like a
- 35:51Speaker 1: crystal that is all about tapping into the deepest layer
- 35:56Speaker 1: of that beautiful intuition that we have been gifted by
- 36:00Speaker 1: source UM and really unlocking UM some of our spiritual
- 36:04Speaker 1: guides and creating some channels for them to speak to
- 36:07Speaker 1: us a little more clearly. And then after we do
- 36:12Speaker 1: some of this breathing, I am going to invite you
- 36:14Speaker 1: to open your eyes before we start the meditation because
- 36:17Speaker 1: I have a couple of things I want to share.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Then we're going to close our eyes. Then we're gonna meditate.
- 36:21Speaker 1: All right, So right now, let's sit really comfortably wherever
- 36:25Speaker 1: you're at. Um, can everybody hear me? Okay, just like
- 36:29Speaker 1: give me like a thumbs up or a heart let
- 36:32Speaker 1: me know you can hear me. Yes, yes, yes, okay,
- 36:35Speaker 1: I see it. Perfect. So wherever you're sitting, if you're
- 36:40Speaker 1: at your computer chair right now, you're lounging on the floor.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Meditation is about being comfortable. Not sitting perfectly like this
- 36:48Speaker 1: though you can, um, but you know, like if this
- 36:51Speaker 1: is comfortable, if leaning on the wall is comfortable, then
- 36:54Speaker 1: do that whatever feels good. UM. Just try to make
- 36:57Speaker 1: sure you're not really holding any rigid space inside of you.
- 37:01Speaker 1: So let's gently close your eyes right now as we
- 37:04Speaker 1: do some breathing. Let's make sure that our shoulders are relaxed.
- 37:09Speaker 1: And even now, if you kind of want to do
- 37:11Speaker 1: some wiggling, throwing your shoulder backs. Do a couple of
- 37:14Speaker 1: shoulder rolls right now. I just want you to invite
- 37:18Speaker 1: in a feeling of loosening, a feeling of being undone.
- 37:28Speaker 1: That's a little bit. If you feel like your tongue
- 37:32Speaker 1: is pressed against the roof of your mouth, just gently
- 37:35Speaker 1: let it go. M And we're gonna do theories of
- 37:42Speaker 1: five breaths. And as we do this breath, we're gonna
- 37:46Speaker 1: inhale really fully, imagining our lungs filling like balloons, just
- 37:52Speaker 1: really inviting in some expansiveness. And then we're gonna hold
- 37:57Speaker 1: that breath at the top for a few seconds, and
- 38:00Speaker 1: we're gonna release with an out loud side. It will
- 38:03Speaker 1: sound something like this. I know that might sound a
- 38:11Speaker 1: little extra, but you're probably by yourself. We're socially isolated,
- 38:15Speaker 1: so just really have fun with that. Like, as you're
- 38:18Speaker 1: releasing through your mouth, I really want you to envision
- 38:21Speaker 1: that things are coming out of you. You know that
- 38:25Speaker 1: any trapped energy, any stagnant energy, is being loosened and
- 38:30Speaker 1: released from your body, from your cells, from your heart,
- 38:35Speaker 1: from your shoulders, from your organs. Let's really purge out.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Let's gently beautifully release these things that don't serve us.
- 38:44Speaker 1: So we're gonna do this five times. Eyes are gently closed.
- 38:47Speaker 1: We're sitting really comfortably, and let's inhale through our noses
- 38:52Speaker 1: and expand as deeply as we can't those beautiful lungs.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Let's inhale O hold release with sigh. We're gonna do
- 39:10Speaker 1: that four more times. Let's inhale m hm, inhale mm hmm.
- 39:38Speaker 1: We have two more times to do this. As we
- 39:40Speaker 1: do this, I really want you to fill those gorgeous,
- 39:43Speaker 1: life giving, vital energy lungs. Filled them to capacity. Hold
- 39:49Speaker 1: at the top, exhale with relief. Inhale. Oh and if
- 40:07Speaker 1: it feels good on this last one. Was still sitting comfortably,
- 40:10Speaker 1: eyes gently closed as we exhale. You can even throw
- 40:14Speaker 1: your head back with that side. That feels okay, let's
- 40:18Speaker 1: inhale mm hmm. Let's continue to sit comfortably. I still
- 40:33Speaker 1: gently closed, body still nice and relaxed. When I was
- 40:40Speaker 1: getting ready for this session today, I cleansed my space,
- 40:46Speaker 1: I lit some coppol I cleared the energy. I was
- 40:50Speaker 1: really deliberate and purposeful in trying to release any stagnant
- 40:57Speaker 1: energy that has gotten maybe stuck or trapped in the
- 41:00Speaker 1: last few days, um, the last couple of weeks for me,
- 41:03Speaker 1: of this social isolation, this collective undoing and unpacking and unlearning.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I then pulled some of my archetype cards, and I
- 41:15Speaker 1: really kind of as spirit to guide me on the
- 41:19Speaker 1: correct cards that needed to come up for this moment
- 41:22Speaker 1: and to fill them in that energetic space with light.
- 41:26Speaker 1: And the cards that came up were The first one
- 41:29Speaker 1: was the archetype of eternal Child, which brings forth the
- 41:34Speaker 1: energy of determination to remain young in body, mind and spirit,
- 41:40Speaker 1: and the ability to see all things with fresh new eyes.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I really love that archetype because that brings forth this
- 41:48Speaker 1: space that we're in. We are all novices to what's
- 41:51Speaker 1: happening in this unprecedented moment in history. Let's surrender to
- 41:57Speaker 1: some of that newness. It's okay to not know it all,
- 42:00Speaker 1: to not have it all figured out. The second archetype
- 42:04Speaker 1: car card that I pulled that came up was the
- 42:08Speaker 1: archetype of the Liberator. The liberator mm hmm, freeing yourself
- 42:15Speaker 1: and others from outmoded beliefs, releasing negative thought patterns. This
- 42:22Speaker 1: is the perfect time for that, bringing freedom to self,
- 42:32Speaker 1: gently releasing and dissolving anything that's outdated, any core beliefs
- 42:37Speaker 1: that are outdated that don't serve us, releasing any narratives
- 42:44Speaker 1: or negative thought patterns in this moment, releasing judgment of self,
- 42:48Speaker 1: liberating self and those connected to us. And the final
- 42:52Speaker 1: card that I pulled from my archetype deck was the
- 42:57Speaker 1: alchemist transformation of base motives and goals and turning them
- 43:06Speaker 1: into golden wisdom. We are the scientists right now. We
- 43:12Speaker 1: are the spiritual scientists of self. We are the divine
- 43:16Speaker 1: alchemists in our lives, creating these recipes, these beautiful calculations
- 43:22Speaker 1: and potions of unlocking and transformation, turning something into something else,
- 43:29Speaker 1: turning that coal into a diamond into gold. So now,
- 43:35Speaker 1: for anyone that maybe gazed a little bit right now,
- 43:38Speaker 1: I invite everyone to gently close their eyes, to sit
- 43:42Speaker 1: really comfortably for this guided meditation, and I'm just gonna
- 43:47Speaker 1: walk you through a couple of thoughts and create some
- 43:50Speaker 1: space for that stillness and silence. And if you would,
- 43:53Speaker 1: what I'd really like you to connect with as we
- 43:56Speaker 1: do this guided meditation we're looking to experience is known
- 44:00Speaker 1: in meditation as the gap. This space that can last
- 44:05Speaker 1: for just seconds, maybe even milliseconds that exists between one
- 44:12Speaker 1: thought and the next thought. It's the space of pure potentiality,
- 44:18Speaker 1: the space that means everything and nothing at the same time.
- 44:24Speaker 1: A lot of people stay away from meditation because they
- 44:26Speaker 1: say to themselves, I think too much. There's no way
- 44:29Speaker 1: for me to stop thinking. And to that, I say,
- 44:32Speaker 1: you are a human being. We average five thousand thoughts
- 44:35Speaker 1: a day. You're not the only one. We all do that.
- 44:39Speaker 1: We're looking for those little micro moments, those brief moments
- 44:44Speaker 1: of pure potentiality between one thought and the next. That's it.
- 44:48Speaker 1: So just kind of really sit in some of this silence,
- 44:52Speaker 1: and I want you to observe yourself and these are
- 44:54Speaker 1: the kind of moments that you're going to be looking
- 44:57Speaker 1: to recreate as we move forward in the social isolation.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Look for those moments between thoughts where limitless potential exists.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Eyes gently closed, we're sending comfortably. Take a moment, and
- 45:17Speaker 1: with your eyes gently closed, I want you to try
- 45:20Speaker 1: to look at the tip of your nose. For many
- 45:26Speaker 1: of you, that feels like a physical response to zoning in,
- 45:31Speaker 1: to really being able to focus in this beautiful field
- 45:37Speaker 1: of expansion. So whenever you feel yourself drifting away as
- 45:42Speaker 1: we talk. Just try again to look at the very
- 45:45Speaker 1: tip of your nose with your eyes still gently closed,
- 45:49Speaker 1: and remember to breathe. Breathe in and out through your nose.
- 45:55Speaker 1: When you breathe in and out through your nose, you're
- 45:57Speaker 1: really giving yourself permission to access this deeper, vital energy
- 46:03Speaker 1: that is so nourishing to your body, mind, and soul.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I want to bring forth right now the idea from
- 46:13Speaker 1: the Seven spiritual Laws of success, of the law of detachment,
- 46:21Speaker 1: a space where you are not forcing solutions, you are
- 46:26Speaker 1: allowing them to spontaneously emerge. Uncertainty is essential as your
- 46:35Speaker 1: path to freedom. Mhmm. Uncertainty is essential as your path
- 46:45Speaker 1: to freedom. I invite you to step into the field
- 46:51Speaker 1: of all possibilities, none of them being right or wrong.
- 46:56Speaker 1: They just are O. Let us surrender in peace to
- 47:05Speaker 1: the intuitive knowing nous of divine timing, even through the fear,
- 47:14Speaker 1: even through the uncertainty, even through the boredom. When you
- 47:20Speaker 1: really sit with yourself, the feeling that will resonate strongly
- 47:27Speaker 1: is that intuitive knowingness that you are safe. You are safe,
- 47:34Speaker 1: you are protected, you are provided for in this moment,
- 47:42Speaker 1: you are enough continue breathing in and out through your nose.
- 47:55Speaker 1: In this moment, let us feel deeply rude it ingratitude,
- 48:04Speaker 1: the gratitude, and the deep knowingness that we are currently
- 48:09Speaker 1: prepared with all of the tools that we need. You
- 48:16Speaker 1: are ready for this moment. It's scary because you've never
- 48:21Speaker 1: felt it before, but it doesn't mean that you are
- 48:25Speaker 1: not prepared. You are ready right now. If it feels
- 48:36Speaker 1: comfortable with your eyes still gently closed, I invite you
- 48:41Speaker 1: to hold yourself if that looks like a hug. Right now,
- 48:45Speaker 1: I have one arm kind of draped across my waist
- 48:48Speaker 1: and the other arm draped across my chest with my
- 48:52Speaker 1: hand on my shoulder, and I'm just holding myself. Let's
- 48:57Speaker 1: take a moment to hold ourselves, to feel complete, to
- 49:04Speaker 1: feel whole, to feel safe mm hmm, to feel compassion
- 49:17Speaker 1: right now, for ourselves to hold space for compassion for
- 49:26Speaker 1: ourselves and for others to hug the younger little version
- 49:39Speaker 1: of us that resides inside, that feels unsure and invite
- 49:45Speaker 1: him or her out to join us in this moment
- 49:48Speaker 1: of awakening and ascending. Right now, as you're gently holding
- 49:56Speaker 1: yourself and giving yourself the freedom of expression, the freedom
- 50:02Speaker 1: of compassion, m I invite you to open and expand
- 50:09Speaker 1: your heart really right now in vision beautiful light coming
- 50:15Speaker 1: into your body, coming in through your heart and opening stretching.
- 50:27Speaker 1: What started as a small needle sized hole of light
- 50:33Speaker 1: trying to come in and out of a dark space.
- 50:36Speaker 1: It's now stretching slowly bigger and bigger and bigger. There
- 50:43Speaker 1: is more light coming in and out. There's an effortless
- 50:48Speaker 1: flow of abundance and love stretching open. And then the
- 50:57Speaker 1: coming days and weeks and moments, I invite you, every
- 51:01Speaker 1: time you feel tightness, every time your heart wants to
- 51:09Speaker 1: constrict with your fears, to remember this moment where you
- 51:14Speaker 1: had the beautiful ability to stretch it past the capacity
- 51:18Speaker 1: you knew it to have. Mm hmm. Let's take a
- 51:25Speaker 1: moment right now. I'm gently placing both of my hands
- 51:31Speaker 1: on my heart, one on top of the other, touching
- 51:35Speaker 1: my heart through my chest. To offer yourself some forgiveness.
- 51:45Speaker 1: To forgive yourself for being in judgment of yourself in
- 51:50Speaker 1: this moment. To forgive yourself forever imagining that your value
- 52:00Speaker 1: and your worth was tied to your productivity. To forgive
- 52:11Speaker 1: yourself for judging yourself it's not being ready for right now.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I want to offer you a gentle reminder that you
- 52:36Speaker 1: are allowed to grieve. You are allowed to grieve your plans.
- 52:47Speaker 1: We can warn the version of ourselves that we're saying
- 52:50Speaker 1: goodbye to right now, the version that we kind of liked,
- 52:58Speaker 1: the one that was able to be in the world freely,
- 53:00Speaker 1: could express themselves, could show up at work. We're allowed
- 53:08Speaker 1: to grieve them. We're allowed to say goodbye for this moment.
- 53:13Speaker 1: And we also have space too, enthusiastically or simply observedly
- 53:22Speaker 1: usher in the version of us that we will be
- 53:25Speaker 1: when this ends. I can guarantee you with a certainty
- 53:35Speaker 1: that only God can pour through me, that if you
- 53:39Speaker 1: keep your heart open and you use this time to
- 53:43Speaker 1: pour into yourself, you will come out of this as
- 53:50Speaker 1: the best version of yourself that you have been so far.
- 53:56Speaker 1: I am one certain and I invite you to tap
- 54:00Speaker 1: been to that certainty. Even in the moments that you
- 54:03Speaker 1: are scared or just tired, I still gently closed inhaling
- 54:15Speaker 1: and exhaling through your nose. I'm going to bring forth
- 54:19Speaker 1: some beautiful frequency for your heart chakra with my sound bowls.
- 54:24Speaker 1: So just enjoy this moment and continue to breathe h
- 54:48Speaker 1: m hm m m m hm hm m us mumm.
- 55:07Speaker 1: And and to the cat can be in the way
- 55:38Speaker 1: biting them on the m S time. Mm hmmmmmmm. I
- 56:47Speaker 1: invite you, on this moment, with your gorgeous, grateful, open
- 56:54Speaker 1: and expansive heart, very gently come back into yourself and
- 57:02Speaker 1: come back into this present moment if it feels comfortable,
- 57:11Speaker 1: with your eyes still gently closed, bringing hands to heart
- 57:16Speaker 1: center and prayer position m yeah, and taking a moment
- 57:29Speaker 1: to feel grateful. The light in me recognizes and deeply
- 57:41Speaker 1: honors the light in you. Let's take a small vow
- 57:48Speaker 1: to ourselves, to one another, to the divine O. If
- 58:05Speaker 1: it feels comfortable, let's gently open our eyes. Mm hmm. Girl, Wow,
- 58:33Speaker 1: thank you, deav, Thank you dead. Thank you to the
- 58:37Speaker 1: God that created death, the god that created WiFi, the
- 58:43Speaker 1: God that created every human that is joining us in
- 58:47Speaker 1: this space and beyond this space, the God that is
- 58:52Speaker 1: creating the beautiful bigger picture that is already serving us.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Mm hmm. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you,
- 59:04Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. Wow. Wow, that's really good. I'm
- 59:12Speaker 1: starting to feel tears well up, which is totally fine
- 59:18Speaker 1: because as far as my experience and please yeah, cry
- 59:24Speaker 1: hug because what Debbie did for myself and I think
- 59:29Speaker 1: for many of you guys, is assisted in like feeling
- 59:37Speaker 1: me away from my body gently just so I could
- 59:41Speaker 1: connect with something beyond the physical world. That feels so
- 59:46Speaker 1: crazy right now, you know. And when I felt like
- 59:51Speaker 1: I just kissed the heavens and beyond and it was
- 59:54Speaker 1: ready to come back down because I had a reactivated
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: sense of faith to come into my body. These tears
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: are welcomed because I have a deeper appreciation for my humanity,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you know. So it's been a deeper appreciation for humanity
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: at large, for my extended family. Wow, wow, wow. And
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the fact that there have been so many times where
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: you know, you started asking yourself like why is this
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: happening to me? Why is this happening to my family?
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Why is this happening to the earth. But also if
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: this wasn't happening, we wouldn't be here on Wednesday, March
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: p M to receive this experience too, co create this experience, right,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Thank you, dev Thank you everyone like full sincerity, full sincerity. Okay,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: So now that we're feeling so opened up, I'm going
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: to invite you guys to feel out, try on these
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: affirmations that I crafted just for you, just for myself,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: just for this moment. Affirmations, especially when they're written by
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: someone else, are always an invitation, so the option is
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: always there for you to continue and stillness. Feel free
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: to meet me if you just want to linger and
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: what we experienced as guided by Debby Um. Also feel
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: free to just hog on to the initial intention that
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: you had here. But if something within is feeling curious,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: is feeling explorative, well then let's go for a journey.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: So I'm going to invite you to place your right
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: hand on your chest, on your heart chakra, and everyone
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: can hear me, okay, we're still good, yes, yes, yes, okay.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: And then if you're left hand, I'm going to invite
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: you to place your palm on your knee, face down
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: for grounding, whatever they that may mean for you, or
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: face up for sweetness, whatever that may mean for you.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: And I'm going to take these affirmations. Are gonna be
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: doing three rounds. The first two I'll begin with I.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: I'm going to place them in the chats so they're
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: easier to see, so you can feel free of a
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: soft gaze to look at them, or of course, always
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: welcome to close your eyes and you can hear them. Okay, okay,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: So beginning, I know that surrender is what allows my
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: inner child to grasp the hand of God. Repeating, I
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: know that surrender is what allows my inner child to
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: grasp the hand of God. Secondly, I am learning to
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: welcome both lessons in the night and blessings in the light.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I am learning to welcome both lessons in the nights
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: and blessings in the light, like every seed knows. I
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: to know that even in stillness of movements can dwell within.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Like every seed knows, I to know that even in stillness,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: a movement dwells within. I am the seed, the soil,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: the weights, the rain, the growth, the sun, the stem,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: the fruits. I am all. I am the seed, the soil,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: the weight, the rain, the growth, the sun, the stem,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: the fruit. I am all. I believe there is room
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: for everybody to feel everything. I believe there is room
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: for everybody to feel everything. My piece is a weapon
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: of mass construction. My piece is a weapon of mass construction.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I open and feel every day with appreciation. I open
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: and feel every day with appreciation, because in the stormiest
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: of hours, I know gratitude will float me above any flood,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Because in the stormiest of ours, I know gratitude will
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: float me above any flood. I trust that all the
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: chapters in my life connect to create a story worth telling.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I trust that all the chapters of my life connect
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: to create a story wealth worth telling. I know rest
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: laughter arts orgasms. Whatever feels good doesn't diminish my efforts,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: but replenishes them. I know rest laughter arts orgasms. Whatever
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: feels good doesn't submission my diminish my efforts, replenishes them.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Even when I've fallen, I know there are blessings on
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: the ground as well. Even when I've fallen, I know
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: there are blessings on the ground as well. I am
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: zooming out to see the bigger picture. I am zooming
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: in to be the bigger picture. I am zooming out
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: to see the bigger picture. I am zooming in to
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: be the bigger picture. And finally, I can heal from
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: it all and flips scars into strengths. I can heal
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: from it all and flips ours into strengths. As you
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: inhale anything that resonated, anything that you identified as a
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: family member or as a friend, keep it within you
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: anything else can float away and find the right soul. Okay,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: my loves for our next round. And I'm also taking
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: into consideration time as well, because that's that is a
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: factor to a degree. Now, what I would like for
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: us to do is repeat these affirmations, but this time
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: we're going to be sending them out to each other
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: in this chats on Earth wherever else another soul dwells.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: And I'm going to post this again into the chat
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: hoped on just a second, so that you guys m
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I wonder why I'm having an issue here, hold on,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: hold on, Okay. If technology continues acting a bit wonky,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: which is what it's looking like, I'm not sure why
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: I can't pay, But it's fine. They're basically the same things.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: But I'm just replacing I with you. Okay, all right,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: you guys can still hear me. Yes, say yes, say yes,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: say yes. Okay, great, great, great, great, gosh, dolly, thank you,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. Okay, you guys ready if you
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: want again, one hand to the hearts, another hand, palm
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: facing down for groundedness, palm facing up for sweetness. This time,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: we're going to send out our affirmations for all of
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: those who know they are in need, or who don't
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: realize yet, or who just need a backup. You know
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: that surrender is what allows your inner child to grasp
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: the hand of God. You know that surrender is what
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: allows your inner child to grasp the hand of God.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: You are learning to welcome both lessons in the night
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: and blessings in the lights. You are learning to welcome
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: both lessons in the nights and blessings in the lights.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Like every seed knows, you too know that even in
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: stillness of movements can dwell within. Like every seed knows,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: you too know that even in stillness, a movement can
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: dwell within. You are the seed, the soil, the weights,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: the rain, the growth, the sun, the stem, the fruits.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: You are all. You are the seed, the soil, the weights,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: the rain, the growth, the sun, the stem, the fruits.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: You are all. You believe there is room for everybody
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: to feel everything. You believe there is room for everybody
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: to feel everything. Your peace is a weapon of mass construction.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Your peace is a weapon of mass construction. You open
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: and feel every day with appreciation. You open and feel
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: every day with appreciation, because in the stormiest of hours,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: you know gratitude will float you above any flood, because
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: in the stormiest of hours, you know gratitude will loads
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: you above any flood. You trust that all the chapters
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: in your life connect to create a story wealth worth telling.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: You trust that all the chapters of your life connects
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: to create a story worth telling. You know, rest laughter, arts, orgasms,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: or whatever feels good. Do not diminish your efforts, but
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: replenish them. You know, rest laughter, arts, orgasms, whatever feels good.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Don't diminish your efforts, but replenish them. Even when you fallen,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: you know there are blessings on the ground as well.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Even when you fall in, you know there are blessings
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: on the ground as well. You you are zooming out
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: to see the bigger picture. You are zooming in to
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: be the bigger picture. You are zooming out to see
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: the bigger picture. You are zooming in to be the
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: bigger picture. You can heal from it all and flip
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: scars into strengths. You can heal from it all and
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: flip scars into strengths. If your eyes are open, I
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: invite you to have a low, soft gate or too
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: gently closed and if that feels safe, and as we
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: take three collective breaths. I want you to imagine any
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: of those statements, mantras, affirmations that resonated with you, that
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: all of the words are now melting into a ball
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: of lights that's at the floor of your belly, and
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: that's swirling and swirling and gaining strength and gaining with
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: and you see that ball. And as we breathe in,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: all the energy that we have, all the energy that
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: is around us, may give further life to that light
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: within us. And as we exhale, can you take that
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: light that is carrying all of your prayers, your affirmations,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: your intentions, allow it to travel through you and to
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: beam out from the top of your head, through the Earth,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: through the universe and beyond. Deep inhaleen low belly to
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: the ribs, to the throats. Hold exhale from the low belly,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: from the ribs, from the throat. Twice more, keeping in
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: mind that image, breathe in from low belly, rising to
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: the ribs of throats, and exhale belly, ribs, throats. And finally,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: for our last breath, breathe in, watching the lights building
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: with in you, stretching beyond you. And next, slowly for
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: your eyes open ah we still here, y'all. They're still here, Yes,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: not a stay and ima stay. Thank you everyone once
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: again for your presence. Who This is such an opportunity
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: for us to recognize the blessings that are here, and
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: for us to give gratitude in advance for the blessings
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: that are in wropped. Thank you, thank you, thank you,

- 1:18:13Speaker 1: in the slightest like sub zero pressure. I'm not sure
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: if I'll be able to copy and paste this. I
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: shall try. Let's see if this works here, Okay, giving

- 1:25:21Speaker 1: going to be building our spiritual daily practices, and we're
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: also going to be doing a lot of journaling exercises
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: together and really using this moment kind of in the
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: way that I spoke about in last podcast episode too,
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: to commune with God and say who am I being
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: called to be? Right now? That is the statement that
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: we are really going to be exploring with this challenge,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: So I'm gonna roll that out. The way to sign
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: up for it is only through some prompts on our newsletter,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: So go to my website Karma Bliss dot com. We

- 1:26:18Speaker 1: that page on carmea blisk dot com every single day,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: really utilizing this time and diving into the parts of
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: ourselves that we may have been avoiding. So if that
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: sounds serving to you, and if you feel that you're
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: up for that kind of challenge, please join us. I
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: also want to shout out some of my i G
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: t v s. Over the last year, I've been putting
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: a lot of i G t v s on my
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Instagram at Debbie Brown that go over quite a few
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: things that might be useful for you in this moment.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: So so far, I have i G t v s
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: that cover about ten of the books that I think
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: are really important for radical self growth and transformation. I
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: also have meditations on their I have Crystal Recommendations on there,
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: and I have two i G t v s that
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: I personally really really love that were themes that were
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: very important in my life. One of the i G
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: t vs is called um Spiritual Bypassing, and we're breaking
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: down what that is. And then another one revolves around
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: viewing challenges as opportunities. And it's funny because that is
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: one of the i G t vs that I think
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: a lot of people were a little scared to watch.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: And we're scrolling past, but that one gets deep. So
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: if you get some time, because we all got the
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: time right now, UM, go to my i G t vs.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: At Debbie Brown. Check those out and yeah, I'll catch
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: you guys next time. Let's stay open, let's stay sane,
