- 0:02Speaker 1: Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Mellencamp and Cameradge Edge.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hi, guys, welcome to another episode of Two Teas in
- 0:21Speaker 2: a Pod. But as you know, it is Orange County recap.
- 0:24Speaker 2: So I'm with Alexia. How's it going?
- 0:27Speaker 3: Hi? Teddy? Good? How are you doing?
- 0:29Speaker 2: I'm good. I apologize to everyone. I'm a little bit
- 0:33Speaker 2: under the weather, but I am pulling it together because
- 0:37Speaker 2: it's Orange County. But how's your jet lag? Your home?
- 0:40Speaker 2: I see, I am.
- 0:42Speaker 3: I'm all back with the folds.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Oh so we're so we're winning. We're twinting on that.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Yes, I mean it still helped like a little cough,
- 0:49Speaker 3: but you know, I took a lot of medication and
- 0:51Speaker 3: I'm kind of like almost back to myself, but that's
- 0:54Speaker 3: always expected. My friend got really stick on the on
- 0:57Speaker 3: the trip, so I figured that gets sick as well,
- 1:01Speaker 3: but luckily it was when I got to Miami.
- 1:03Speaker 2: So perfect. What do you think of this episode?
- 1:09Speaker 3: It's really good. I'm getting really into it. I'm getting
- 1:13Speaker 3: but yeah, I think I think they're all doing great.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I love how they're all coming together, you know, and
- 1:19Speaker 3: you can really see like their true friendships and and
- 1:23Speaker 3: they're really just sharing it, sharing it all. I'm really impressed.
- 1:27Speaker 2: So it starts out where Gina leaves her meeting with Jen,
- 1:32Speaker 2: and Gina calls Emily and tells her she's shocked at
- 1:35Speaker 2: how Jen is handling the situation. Gina says she downsized
- 1:41Speaker 2: and made sacrifices, but Jen isn't willing to make any
- 1:44Speaker 2: Gina says she she'll see Jin at the beach on
- 1:48Speaker 2: Saturday in full glam, and then Emily calls Jin Malibu
- 1:54Speaker 2: Broke Barbie.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I thought that was like me, and it was kind
- 1:57Speaker 3: of like funny, but it's also me, but you know,
- 2:00Speaker 3: used to it. We're like with these group of women,
- 2:01Speaker 3: you know, you got to throw that dig in there.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Well, I think that it's probably going to be a
- 2:07Speaker 2: countdown until when Jen and Ryan release Malibu Broke Barbie.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Hats to capitalize on this, so.
- 2:17Speaker 3: That might be the thing. Maybe she should start doing
- 2:19Speaker 3: some merch.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Well they did there, What was the penis merch they
- 2:24Speaker 2: did last year when they got hell for Dick Pick.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Then they started doing Dick pic merch. So I feel
- 2:30Speaker 2: like Malibu Broke Barbie is just the next step in
- 2:33Speaker 2: the rotation.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like there would be more of an
- 2:36Speaker 3: audience for that than.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree on that one, But also do we
- 2:47Speaker 2: understand fully why Gina is the I really understood last
- 2:52Speaker 2: week why Gina was so upset about it, But now
- 2:54Speaker 2: I've hit the point where I'm like, what do you
- 2:56Speaker 2: really care?
- 2:58Speaker 3: Well? I feel like after a whole episode, it's kind
- 3:01Speaker 3: of like she stops caring so much, you know. I
- 3:03Speaker 3: felt like right after she communicated with Jen and the
- 3:07Speaker 3: whole group right after the flag football and they got
- 3:10Speaker 3: to say what they had to say to each other.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I think now her whole attitude and approach is going
- 3:15Speaker 3: to be different. But she did really care, and you
- 3:18Speaker 3: kind of kind of could see both sides, and I
- 3:20Speaker 3: believe that the rest of the girls are also seeing
- 3:22Speaker 3: both sides. Are seeing Gena's side because it's like, you know,
- 3:25Speaker 3: her new career and you know she's so she feels
- 3:28Speaker 3: so strongly about it and her reputation, and then they
- 3:31Speaker 3: also see gen side, and it's just really like a
- 3:33Speaker 3: lack of communication, like if your friendship's there. I felt
- 3:36Speaker 3: like Jen should have reached out to Gena before and said, hey,
- 3:38Speaker 3: this is what's going on, But maybe she was scared.
- 3:41Speaker 3: You know that Gina was going to tell the rest
- 3:42Speaker 3: of the girls, or she herself didn't know what was
- 3:45Speaker 3: going to happen to her. You know. For me, I
- 3:47Speaker 3: think it's always just better to get it out and
- 3:50Speaker 3: to communicate. Because of that, the girls will do it
- 3:52Speaker 3: behind your back and then it'll turn into a shit show.
- 3:54Speaker 2: So yeah, and then it's But I do think there
- 3:57Speaker 2: are people, regardless if you're on television or or not,
- 4:01Speaker 2: that are with shit's hitting the fan. They want to
- 4:03Speaker 2: like stick their head in the sand and pretend it's
- 4:06Speaker 2: not happening and hope that it goes okay. Yeah, I
- 4:09Speaker 2: feel like Jen might have some of those qualities where
- 4:13Speaker 2: she's well, I mean, for sure.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I mean I think she's like, you know, was in denial.
- 4:16Speaker 3: And then I think also she's so absorbed. I mean,
- 4:19Speaker 3: she has four kids, she's in a relationship with Ryan,
- 4:22Speaker 3: you know, she has so much going on that you know,
- 4:26Speaker 3: she's just like not seeing it all. And now she's
- 4:28Speaker 3: like on the show where she has to share all
- 4:30Speaker 3: the things, so you know, it just becomes more difficult
- 4:33Speaker 3: for her. Yeah, I mean, I just don't know why
- 4:35Speaker 3: they're not asking the questions like what you know, how
- 4:38Speaker 3: much was her rent? And you know, why couldn't she
- 4:41Speaker 3: pay for it? And how come Ryan's not stepping in
- 4:43Speaker 3: and paying for her rent or at least helping her out,
- 4:45Speaker 3: knowing that sooner or later she's going to get some
- 4:48Speaker 3: type of.
- 4:48Speaker 2: You know, well. I wonder if Ryan wanted her to
- 4:52Speaker 2: move in the whole time, and that's why he didn't
- 4:54Speaker 2: step in.
- 4:55Speaker 3: It could have been like a manipulation for sure, like
- 4:57Speaker 3: to have her, you know, kind of like testing her
- 4:59Speaker 3: if she was ready to move in. But I believe
- 5:02Speaker 3: it that was just like the easy way out, you
- 5:03Speaker 3: know what I mean, instead of trying to you know,
- 5:06Speaker 3: to stay in her apartment with her children or her
- 5:09Speaker 3: house wherever she lives. I haven't seen her house yet
- 5:11Speaker 3: as her house. I haven't seen it.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I think she's already been evicted by the time we're
- 5:16Speaker 2: watching this as my guest, okay, because we're only seeing
- 5:19Speaker 2: you know, her essentially moving into Ryan's I would guess
- 5:23Speaker 2: that eviction happened before filming even started.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Correct, Probably that's what it looks like. But that's what
- 5:28Speaker 3: I'm saying, Like, if you know you're going to do
- 5:30Speaker 3: this show, like, wouldn't you try like taking care of that,
- 5:33Speaker 3: not only for the show but like in your real life,
- 5:36Speaker 3: like in my real life, like who wants to be evicted?
- 5:38Speaker 2: You know, I heard her rent was twelve thousand a month. Okay,
- 5:43Speaker 2: so let's do some math here. Well, you would assume
- 5:47Speaker 2: I'm gonna guess a second season Housewife, let's put it
- 5:52Speaker 2: on the upper end, makes two hundred thousand dollars a year.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Was that would that be a fair guess?
- 5:57Speaker 3: You think, correct, Yeah, you're pretty good.
- 6:00Speaker 2: So two hundred thousand dollars a year.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Right there, she's on the negative twelve.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Thousand times twelve, so one hundred and forty four thousand.
- 6:11Speaker 2: So that tells us right.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Now she's under I mean, she's in the negative. She
- 6:17Speaker 3: can't afford twelve thousand dollars a rent with a two
- 6:20Speaker 3: hundred thousand dollars salary and four kids plus a cart
- 6:23Speaker 3: and insurance, sell groceries.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I mean, it's slam. The list goes on and on,
- 6:29Speaker 2: and I think I was putting it on the higher
- 6:31Speaker 2: end of probably how much she makes. And it's five kids,
- 6:35Speaker 2: So twelve thousand dollars a month in red. I mean, yes,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I understand it's Orange County, but that you know, going
- 6:42Speaker 2: into it, you're not going to be able to pay
- 6:43Speaker 2: that right.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Well, that was her first mistake, and I believe that
- 6:48Speaker 3: Genus should have known that as well, because I mean
- 6:50Speaker 3: they kind of like all know each other's salaries and whatnot.
- 6:53Speaker 3: But I think the Genas just wanted to help her
- 6:55Speaker 3: and was counting on the ex husband will you know,
- 6:58Speaker 3: coming through in their settlement to be over, were she
- 7:00Speaker 3: would have some money to favor it.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I think it's all a lot of
- 7:03Speaker 2: that happens.
- 7:04Speaker 3: To study, you know people, you know, especially in cases
- 7:07Speaker 3: like this, you know, with divorce and separation, you know
- 7:10Speaker 3: you have some sort of agreement or you have some
- 7:12Speaker 3: kind of number and you're like, okay, well then you
- 7:14Speaker 3: know you're kind of counting on them, which is not smart,
- 7:17Speaker 3: but in time, and you don't know when it's gonna happen,
- 7:20Speaker 3: because she probably thought, you know, I'll be able to
- 7:21Speaker 3: afford it between the show and with my excuse me,
- 7:24Speaker 3: and it didn't work out that way from her.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Yeah, And some people just don't really have if they've
- 7:29Speaker 2: never managed their own money. They just live beyond their means,
- 7:32Speaker 2: not realizing what they're doing, and then get themselves into this.
- 7:37Speaker 2: But then we get to the Emily's flag football event.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Emily's team is the Destroyers Gina, Shannon, Sarah, Michelle, Jody,
- 7:48Speaker 2: and then Tammer's team is Team Love Jennifer, Alexis, Paulina, Annabelle,
- 7:54Speaker 2: and Katie. At this point, Shannon asks if Alexis talked
- 7:59Speaker 2: about her sex life with John. Emily says, Alexis said
- 8:03Speaker 2: they have sex four times a day. Shannon questions what
- 8:07Speaker 2: pill John is taking. Then Shannon says that John started
- 8:11Speaker 2: taking Alexis to her gym, and Gina asked Alexis about
- 8:15Speaker 2: the gym. Alexis said, Shannon hasn't been there in six months.
- 8:23Speaker 2: All of it, all of it. I mean, first off,
- 8:29Speaker 2: this means that Shannon wasn't in the room when Alexis
- 8:31Speaker 2: spoke about her sex life at Heather's luncheon. But also
- 8:37Speaker 2: I do think, yes, is there is there a piece
- 8:41Speaker 2: of this puzzle where like Shannon's just torturing herself by
- 8:44Speaker 2: wanting to know all this information.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Well, yeah, this other girl, Alexis is torturing for two.
- 8:50Speaker 3: I mean just like by bringing all this information, you know,
- 8:53Speaker 3: and if you want to keep like your relationship kind
- 8:55Speaker 3: of like sacred and you know, and just the very
- 8:58Speaker 3: beginning of it, which you know, why are you just
- 9:00Speaker 3: trying to like put it all, put it all out there,
- 9:03Speaker 3: and you know, you know what's going to about the Shannon?
- 9:06Speaker 2: Who is about it?
- 9:07Speaker 3: I mean, it's so fresh. The breakup is just you know,
- 9:09Speaker 3: just top of the.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And I think that if if you personally do not
- 9:14Speaker 2: care about the ex, like you you're like, there're they
- 9:18Speaker 2: don't bother you at all. Like if if Alexis and
- 9:21Speaker 2: John are in a situation where like we're so happy,
- 9:24Speaker 2: we're in our love bubble, we don't care about Shannon,
- 9:28Speaker 2: then you you go out of your way to make
- 9:30Speaker 2: sure that you don't have additional run ends with that person.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Of course, because.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Why like you're doing this on purpose, Like why with
- 9:39Speaker 3: all the gyms in Orange County, why are you going
- 9:41Speaker 3: to go to the same gym that used to go
- 9:43Speaker 3: to with your ex? Then you know there's a good
- 9:45Speaker 3: chance of running into her. It's like it's done on
- 9:47Speaker 3: purpose to like rub it in her face. And Shannon
- 9:50Speaker 3: has every right to feel the way she does. I mean,
- 9:52Speaker 3: and it's not fair to say, oh, well, you know,
- 9:54Speaker 3: I mean she clearly hasn't moved on, because you know,
- 9:56Speaker 3: she still cares about you know, what's going on with
- 9:59Speaker 3: John and Alexis, Like, that's horrible. Like you know, when
- 10:01Speaker 3: you get in a relationship with somebody for three and
- 10:03Speaker 3: a half years and you were like in love, which
- 10:05Speaker 3: you know she was, you know, of course it's going
- 10:08Speaker 3: to bother her and it's in her face like every
- 10:10Speaker 3: single day now with this filming with Alexis and John.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean they like to use Alexis likes
- 10:17Speaker 2: to use the excuse of well, Shannon doesn't actually work
- 10:19Speaker 2: out at that gem. She never shows up. But that's
- 10:23Speaker 2: just regardless if that's the case, which it probably is.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I think Shannon likes to walk outside with her dog,
- 10:29Speaker 2: like that's her form of working out, and whatever form
- 10:32Speaker 2: of working out is fine. But Alexis saying that I
- 10:37Speaker 2: think is another way of going Well, she doesn't even
- 10:42Speaker 2: work out anyway, right.
- 10:43Speaker 3: No, I'm saying that they're even sharing like the same
- 10:46Speaker 3: trainer and whatnot. I mean, you could just tell that
- 10:48Speaker 3: it's intentional. You know it's intentional. Well, but let me
- 11:03Speaker 3: ask you something. Would you be okay with that? Would
- 11:06Speaker 3: you be okay with going to the gym? Like, would
- 11:09Speaker 3: you be okay? I've been working out a gym with
- 11:11Speaker 3: your husband or your boyfriend or whatever. And then three
- 11:13Speaker 3: and a half years later, like he starts working out
- 11:15Speaker 3: with his new girlfriend at the gym, Like do you
- 11:17Speaker 3: think that's okay?
- 11:19Speaker 4: Well, I have worked out at the same workout class
- 11:24Speaker 4: or gym with my husband's ex, Like I mean, but
- 11:30Speaker 4: we are fourteen years into it, so like when we
- 11:33Speaker 4: come to Orange County, she'll be like, hey.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Do you want to come to this workout class? And
- 11:37Speaker 2: then Edwin will come and he'll work out with her
- 11:40Speaker 2: husband and she and I all work out together. So
- 11:43Speaker 2: it's at that point I find it very different because
- 11:47Speaker 2: we co parent, we have that type of relationship. Did
- 11:51Speaker 2: we always for the first couple of years. Absolutely not right,
- 11:57Speaker 2: there was no way.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Matter of time. I think there should be like boundaries
- 12:01Speaker 3: and there should be some kind of respect obviously, Like
- 12:04Speaker 3: the disrespect is so huge like that they don't even
- 12:07Speaker 3: know what the word means. But you know, I would
- 12:09Speaker 3: not appreciate it, Like if there's so many gins, like
- 12:12Speaker 3: why are you going to work out the same gin
- 12:13Speaker 3: that we both went to, regardless whether I went yesterday
- 12:16Speaker 3: or haven't been there in six months? And you know
- 12:18Speaker 3: that it was like our gin, like our restaurant or
- 12:22Speaker 3: our you know, country club or whatever, maybe especially in
- 12:25Speaker 3: the very beginning that the wound is still so fresh.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I think, yeah, like or playing our favorite song on
- 12:31Speaker 2: an Instagram story like it's all yes no.
- 12:34Speaker 3: And she said that he even took her to the
- 12:36Speaker 3: same hotel to celebrate her birthday where you would take
- 12:39Speaker 3: her and giving her the same gifts. I mean, it's
- 12:42Speaker 3: just like cycle stuff. Like, to me, that's so crazy.
- 12:45Speaker 2: But what if it's just such a freaking guy thing
- 12:48Speaker 2: to do? Like how lazy are dudes. It's to me
- 12:52Speaker 2: whether John's being intentional with it or he's just set
- 12:55Speaker 2: in his ways and he just is going to do
- 12:57Speaker 2: whatever he does because he thinks that's what girls like.
- 13:00Speaker 2: It bugs me, like be a touch creative.
- 13:03Speaker 3: For me, it's like the opposite. I don't want to
- 13:05Speaker 3: go to the same place. It's going to remind me
- 13:07Speaker 3: of an X or like a special moment that I
- 13:09Speaker 3: had with somebody that I love. I mean, to me,
- 13:11Speaker 3: that's just crazy stuff. Yeah, I don't you know that
- 13:14Speaker 3: for me that doesn't work, But obviously it's working for them.
- 13:18Speaker 3: And I can see why it's bothering Shannon, you know,
- 13:21Speaker 3: And I guess Alexis doesn't really care about it, you know.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how. I don't live in
- 13:26Speaker 2: Newport Beach, so I don't know how small of a
- 13:28Speaker 2: town that is. But one would happen.
- 13:31Speaker 3: To any of other hotels, or you can leave Newport
- 13:34Speaker 3: and go somewhere else. They get the same suite that
- 13:37Speaker 3: he got with Shannon, like that would be weird.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, oh my gosh. Well, then the women start playing.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Emily's team makes a touchdown, but then the replay shows
- 13:48Speaker 2: Alexis pulling Shan's flag. Then Emily's team wins the game.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I appreciate a little bit of activity and sport and whatever.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Heather made me laugh in this scene when she comes
- 14:00Speaker 2: as like the is it the umpire or the referee?
- 14:05Speaker 2: I liked it.
- 14:07Speaker 3: I need to well, she kind of like reminds me
- 14:10Speaker 3: like something like Maarrisol would have done on my show.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, after like actually ron and sweat and whatever.
- 14:16Speaker 3: It's just kind of like a seaful and she played
- 14:18Speaker 3: the referee was cute.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and she came, you know, she came with a prop,
- 14:22Speaker 2: but she she made it. It didn't bug Sometimes it
- 14:25Speaker 2: bugs me when people don't fully participate in this instance,
- 14:29Speaker 2: it really didn't bother me, Like I was like, Oh,
- 14:31Speaker 2: it's cute, it's funny. But then we get to Jen
- 14:35Speaker 2: telling Gina she should be understanding since she's been through
- 14:40Speaker 2: similar situation. Gina says she's sympathetic to the situation, but
- 14:44Speaker 2: Jen signed a contract and has bills to pay. Gina
- 14:48Speaker 2: says the agent won't even return her calls because she
- 14:51Speaker 2: represents the woman in the house she's squatting in. Jen
- 14:55Speaker 2: says she is not a squatter. Jen says if someone
- 14:58Speaker 2: something were to happen with Ryan, she'd be homeless and
- 15:01Speaker 2: without a car. And then Gina reveals that Travis is
- 15:05Speaker 2: moving out. Jen apologizes for not knowing she's struggling as well.
- 15:09Speaker 2: The two hug and makeup, and I have to say,
- 15:14Speaker 2: our girl, tam was being an excellent voice of reason
- 15:18Speaker 2: in this situation.
- 15:19Speaker 3: So I loved it. She's being a voice of reason.
- 15:22Speaker 3: She's very very lovely, very lovely, you know, she was.
- 15:26Speaker 3: I honestly really enjoyed watching her.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I did too. But also, if we're doing the math properly,
- 15:34Speaker 2: and if she was evicted in the fall, when did
- 15:37Speaker 2: this start filming? January of twenty twenty four. Cool this
- 15:43Speaker 2: is the problem that bugs me. She moved out in
- 15:45Speaker 2: December November, and this is being filmed in January of
- 15:49Speaker 2: twenty twenty four, so she's currently not a squatter. She's
- 15:53Speaker 2: already out, she's already been evicted.
- 15:55Speaker 3: No, I know. I mean I didn't think she was
- 15:57Speaker 3: a squatter. I didn't think that that term was correct.
- 16:01Speaker 2: But then Gina's ability to apologize if she may have
- 16:05Speaker 2: gone too far, while also flipping the script to make
- 16:08Speaker 2: it about her situation and being you know, sympathetic, I
- 16:12Speaker 2: was like, oh, but housewife moved housewife.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I thought the same thing, Teddie. I was like, Wow,
- 16:19Speaker 3: she turned it about her and then sharing her story
- 16:21Speaker 3: and her breaking down where they were able to bond
- 16:24Speaker 3: both because of what they're going through. But I did
- 16:27Speaker 3: like that there was some resolution, you know, and they
- 16:29Speaker 3: bucked it out and they listened to each other, didn't
- 16:31Speaker 3: talk over each other. I thought they did great. I
- 16:33Speaker 3: thought it was a really good scene.
- 16:35Speaker 2: And I know, you know why we're talking about all
- 16:38Speaker 2: this Travis stuff in regards to what Gene is going through.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Does that really like would you imagine breaking up with
- 16:47Speaker 2: someone and then still being together, like, call me when
- 16:49Speaker 2: you get to your apartment.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Oh, I mean I got emotional with that because I'm
- 16:53Speaker 3: so emotional, and you know, I don't even really know them,
- 16:56Speaker 3: but I could just I have the power of like
- 16:58Speaker 3: putting myself in people's shoes, and yeah, it was I
- 17:03Speaker 3: don't know that I can do it. I think when
- 17:05Speaker 3: two people love each other, they you know, they have
- 17:09Speaker 3: to figure out a way, especially if they were already
- 17:11Speaker 3: a family unit. I know they didn't break up, so
- 17:13Speaker 3: that's what made it work.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Oh yeah, sorry, I met moving out, not break up.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Sorry, but like, so they moved out, So Travis moved out.
- 17:21Speaker 3: But they're still together as a couple, which I find
- 17:24Speaker 3: even more awkward because how do you take that back?
- 17:26Speaker 3: I mean, they were like a family unit. Now they're
- 17:29Speaker 3: going to be like kind of like boyfriend girlfriend.
- 17:31Speaker 5: You know.
- 17:31Speaker 3: I feel like when we live together, even though you're
- 17:33Speaker 3: not legally married, it's a different kind of commitment and
- 17:38Speaker 3: security or stability or whatnot. I feel like, now, once
- 17:42Speaker 3: you know he's on his own place with his children,
- 17:45Speaker 3: I think that's gonna affect the relationship for sure.
- 17:48Speaker 2: My guess is this was kind of Gina's way to
- 17:53Speaker 2: pull away a little bit and decide how she feels
- 17:56Speaker 2: alone and then see if she wants to be with
- 17:59Speaker 2: somebody else. But she wanted to know.
- 18:02Speaker 3: A little too late. I mean like once you you know,
- 18:04Speaker 3: move in with a person and you're with them for
- 18:06Speaker 3: you know, so many years, and you involve your children,
- 18:10Speaker 3: you know, now you're like pulling away. I feel like,
- 18:13Speaker 3: you know, she may be going through some changes, you know,
- 18:15Speaker 3: and it's like, you know, not a change of heart,
- 18:18Speaker 3: but I feel like she's a stronger woman today that
- 18:20Speaker 3: when she got into her relationship with Travis.
- 18:23Speaker 2: That's a good point. I wasn't even thinking about that point,
- 18:25Speaker 2: but that is a really good point. But don't don't
- 18:28Speaker 2: you think then she's just stringing him along. I mean,
- 18:30Speaker 2: you can tell he does not want to move out.
- 18:32Speaker 3: No, no, you can see his sadness and you can
- 18:35Speaker 3: see that that's not what he wants. And he doesn't
- 18:38Speaker 3: like that she's blaming the children because he believes that
- 18:40Speaker 3: the children do want to stay together as a family.
- 18:43Speaker 3: But you know, Gina's focusing on Gina and she wants
- 18:46Speaker 3: to do what makes her happy. And and I feel
- 18:50Speaker 3: like you can see the season, she's very secure, she's
- 18:54Speaker 3: you know, coming in strong, and I'm very happy for
- 18:57Speaker 3: her because you know, it's great to have that feeling
- 18:59Speaker 3: right like herself seen the high. She's doing well professionally,
- 19:03Speaker 3: personally with her kids. You know, she's making money. She
- 19:06Speaker 3: feels good about herself. So you know, I feel like,
- 19:09Speaker 3: you know, sometimes when you don't have the cooperation, I
- 19:12Speaker 3: feel like she's looking at Travis now like in a
- 19:15Speaker 3: different light because of his personal problems also that he's
- 19:18Speaker 3: going through with his ex wife and the kids. I mean,
- 19:21Speaker 3: it's very complicated. It's so complicated.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yeah, if one person's growing and the other person is
- 19:26Speaker 2: staying the same, it's hard.
- 19:29Speaker 3: It's hard. And I think that that's exactly what's happening. Like,
- 19:32Speaker 3: you know, she's here and it's kind of like he's
- 19:34Speaker 3: just stayed there, you know where They.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Then Emily brings Shannon to her boudoir shoot. Emily is
- 19:41Speaker 2: giving Shane the gift of her their and nursery. Uh.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Shannon is upset. Alexis called the gym. She goes to
- 19:50Speaker 2: her gym. Emily doesn't get why Alexis doesn't go somewhere else.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Then Shannon's friend Alex who works at the gym, told
- 19:57Speaker 2: her he doesn't want any drama there, and a Lexus
- 20:00Speaker 2: told him, I'm a good Christian girl. All this aside,
- 20:06Speaker 2: I feel like we've covered it at this point. I
- 20:09Speaker 2: feel like Emily opening up about how even though she's
- 20:13Speaker 2: lost weight, she's not as confident is a great message
- 20:16Speaker 2: to put out there, like sometimes your mind doesn't catch
- 20:20Speaker 2: up with your body and people don't always understand that,
- 20:23Speaker 2: and change is hard, so regardless of I'm not even
- 20:29Speaker 2: talking about the physical aspects of your body changing, but
- 20:32Speaker 2: changing the way you feel about yourself.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Correct. Yeah, it's more mental because I mean physically, I'm
- 20:38Speaker 3: sure she's getting a lot of positive feedback and she
- 20:40Speaker 3: has to look in the mirror and say, wow, I'm
- 20:42Speaker 3: so proud of myself. I look amazing. I feel good.
- 20:45Speaker 3: But it's like you said, it's that mental struggle, you know.
- 20:48Speaker 3: And I feel like a lot of people just you know,
- 20:50Speaker 3: get help getting an attritionist, a trainer and whatnot, but
- 20:53Speaker 3: you know they don't get like that life coach or
- 20:55Speaker 3: like therapists that can help them, you know, just you know,
- 20:59Speaker 3: go through it because it's a process and they're both connected.
- 21:01Speaker 3: And I feel like she's always going to live with
- 21:03Speaker 3: that worry, Like, you know, am I going to like
- 21:06Speaker 3: start eating and am I going to you know, so
- 21:09Speaker 3: I think it's something internally, you know, that she needs
- 21:12Speaker 3: to work on. But I mean I love her story,
- 21:14Speaker 3: you know. I love that she's so open about it
- 21:17Speaker 3: and she shares about it, and.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think you know that that feeling of
- 21:23Speaker 2: feeling like, oh, if I miss one day at the gym,
- 21:26Speaker 2: I've I've set myself back, Like I feel like hopefully
- 21:29Speaker 2: that'll go away with time, and just realizing that, like
- 21:33Speaker 2: if you're changing her life forever, then you don't need
- 21:37Speaker 2: to put that pressure on yourself that it's going to
- 21:39Speaker 2: matter by this one day, right like you it's right.
- 21:43Speaker 3: I mean it's hard because not she's obsessed, you know,
- 21:46Speaker 3: that's like her thing. That's what she wants to work
- 21:48Speaker 3: out and and it makes her feel good about herself.
- 21:51Speaker 3: And I guess it gives her like that security like
- 21:53Speaker 3: if I, if I continue to do this, I'm always
- 21:55Speaker 3: going to be on the right track. And it's a
- 21:56Speaker 3: good way to think. But you know, I guess the others,
- 22:00Speaker 3: her husband and her children are kind of like, you know, questioningly,
- 22:02Speaker 3: like you know, got a little bit too far, yea.
- 22:05Speaker 3: They definitely to be right about it's.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Got to be some sort of balance. Do you find
- 22:09Speaker 2: the relationship between Emily and Shannon natural? You know?
- 22:21Speaker 3: I mean I know that they weren't good before that
- 22:24Speaker 3: they haven't been good, but I think they're both trying.
- 22:26Speaker 3: You know, sometimes it's something you don't expect, but I
- 22:31Speaker 3: think that it's working. Yeah, I mean, I don't know
- 22:34Speaker 3: at this point, like how natural it could be, but
- 22:37Speaker 3: I feel like they're kind of having a new like
- 22:39Speaker 3: for each other and like and new love for each other,
- 22:41Speaker 3: and they're enjoying their time together. I know, I wonder
- 22:44Speaker 3: if as I'm watching it, I'm like, I wonder if this.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Is going to last?
- 22:48Speaker 4: Right?
- 22:48Speaker 3: I mean, well that's how I kind of feel about
- 22:49Speaker 3: all of them, right, I mean about relationships and friendship,
- 22:52Speaker 3: especially in our friend group like this, it's always like
- 22:55Speaker 3: is it's really natural or other or too remotives? Or
- 22:58Speaker 3: do you really like each other? And how long is
- 22:59Speaker 3: it gonna lie?
- 23:00Speaker 2: And now that filming stopped, are you still speaking? Or
- 23:04Speaker 2: is it like one of those TV friendships it's like
- 23:06Speaker 2: we're done, Okay, talk to you next.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Season, right exactly.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Then Tamra, Alexis, and Gin walk their dogs together. They
- 23:15Speaker 2: laugh when they see Alexis, since her dog looks just
- 23:19Speaker 2: like Shannon's dog, Archie. Tamra tells Gin she can't rely
- 23:23Speaker 2: on Ryan for everything, just like she did with Will.
- 23:26Speaker 2: I completely agree with Tamra on what she said here.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Was giving excellent advice and you're seeing it. I think
- 23:36Speaker 3: everybody's seeing it. It's like, how are you going to
- 23:38Speaker 3: go from one to the other? And if that doesn't
- 23:40Speaker 3: work out, you're homeless and you come.
- 23:41Speaker 2: A guard and also having to count on somebody else
- 23:47Speaker 2: for everything. It's scary, is a very scary situation.
- 23:54Speaker 3: But you know, for me, it's how I see that,
- 23:58Speaker 3: Like I love killing on a man for like stability,
- 24:01Speaker 3: like security, but like mental psychological.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yeah, like make you feel special, make you feel like.
- 24:09Speaker 3: That's what to me adds to my relationship and to
- 24:12Speaker 3: my happiness. And for me, that's so important to have
- 24:15Speaker 3: that partner that adds to that. And then I know
- 24:17Speaker 3: that I can count them for that. But you know,
- 24:20Speaker 3: the financials, I mean, they have a little good of money. Okay,
- 24:22Speaker 3: good for you, but it's always going to be their money.
- 24:24Speaker 3: It's not your money. That's what we need to understand.
- 24:27Speaker 3: While you're with them, they're going to give you a
- 24:29Speaker 3: promise to the world and give you the world. When
- 24:31Speaker 3: you're not with them, you better figure out on your own, that's.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Why you But even if you are with them, it's
- 24:35Speaker 2: still them controlling you, correct, I mean right, unless unless
- 24:41Speaker 2: you have like some sort of like this is my
- 24:43Speaker 2: monthly allowance or this is whatever. Like, even if they're
- 24:47Speaker 2: free giving with their money, there's still that level of
- 24:52Speaker 2: they're going to have the upper hand.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Well for sure, like in Gen's case or Emily's case.
- 24:58Speaker 3: But I feel like sometimes in a relationship, the woman
- 25:01Speaker 3: can also be professional and have her own career, can
- 25:05Speaker 3: have her business, can have her things, and it's kind
- 25:08Speaker 3: of like her things for hers So okay, doesn't break
- 25:10Speaker 3: it out. You know, I'm good. You know I still
- 25:12Speaker 3: have my business, I still have my money, and I
- 25:14Speaker 3: still have my career because no man will take that
- 25:16Speaker 3: away from me. So I think it's important for the
- 25:19Speaker 3: man to realize that and to respect that that you're
- 25:21Speaker 3: coming to the relationship you know already with something, and
- 25:24Speaker 3: if you don't, you've got to figure it out. You know,
- 25:26Speaker 3: you have to figure it out and say, you know what,
- 25:28Speaker 3: I want to open a business, I want to do
- 25:30Speaker 3: something with my life. I want to get you a
- 25:32Speaker 3: real estate license, like Gina, did you have to have
- 25:35Speaker 3: a plan.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 2: So getting to the dog thing, I do think it's
- 25:50Speaker 2: you know, there's parts that it's funny, but I do
- 25:53Speaker 2: think there's certain things that we should clarify because I
- 25:56Speaker 2: do know for a fact, and I know that we
- 25:58Speaker 2: have had you know, there are there are things that
- 26:01Speaker 2: Alexis Is done that I haven't really enjoyed throughout the season.
- 26:06Speaker 2: But this dog she adopted from her ex husband Jim Bellino,
- 26:12Speaker 2: because he was going to get rid of the dog
- 26:14Speaker 2: and the kids were already attached, so she took the Yes,
- 26:19Speaker 2: it was a.
- 26:20Speaker 6: Coincidence, Yes, and like, come on, like, I think there's
- 26:25Speaker 6: certain things that they're just looking to like throw and
- 26:28Speaker 6: I think that instance, like maybe.
- 26:30Speaker 3: She would have said that story because I mean, you
- 26:32Speaker 3: know that story because you know a little bit more,
- 26:35Speaker 3: but the audience doesn't know that. So yes, of course
- 26:38Speaker 3: it's a big coincidence. But maybe Alexis could have shared
- 26:41Speaker 3: with the other girls the story, you.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Know, or maybe she did tell share the story and
- 26:46Speaker 2: we didn't see it.
- 26:47Speaker 3: That's true too, because it does make her.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Look like a bigger asshole. So you never know, You
- 26:54Speaker 2: just never know. Then Katie, Gina, and Sutton meat for lunch.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Gina says Sudden introduced her to Katie, which also was
- 27:04Speaker 2: confusing to me. I was like, uh, we were at
- 27:11Speaker 2: this thing. It was called Bravo con Uh huh like what?
- 27:17Speaker 2: And then Sudden asked Katie if she's met Heather. Katie said,
- 27:21Speaker 2: they've already had altercations at Sutton's Christmas party. Heather ignored Katie.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Sudden tells Katie she would not want to go up
- 27:29Speaker 3: against Heather.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Katie wants to get to know Heather and give her
- 27:32Speaker 2: the benefit of the doubt. Would you be afraid to
- 27:36Speaker 2: go up against Teather Dubro.
- 27:37Speaker 3: No I actually met her. I mean I've seen her
- 27:40Speaker 3: obviously in Bravo Khan like sometimes already in an upfront
- 27:44Speaker 3: what not. No, you know, I think she's lovely and
- 27:46Speaker 3: I think she's very personable if she gives you, if
- 27:51Speaker 3: she acknowledges you, which she has to meet, and we've
- 27:53Speaker 3: had conversation and she's fun. I mean we weren't a
- 27:57Speaker 3: few Paddels and Bravocon together and enjoyed her. Who's the
- 28:00Speaker 3: pictures together? Her husband was awesome also, So No, I
- 28:05Speaker 3: mean I wouldn't be afraid. You know, I think that
- 28:07Speaker 3: the girls are afraid because that's like an image and
- 28:09Speaker 3: she's created and she does say you like a lot
- 28:12Speaker 3: of two facts, you know, and just like the way
- 28:15Speaker 3: she carries herself, she's very articulate, she's tough, so you know,
- 28:18Speaker 3: I can see like the image they created around her.
- 28:22Speaker 3: But I wouldn't be afraid, you know. I love that
- 28:23Speaker 3: she's opinionated, just like I am. She's a strong woman,
- 28:26Speaker 3: So I'm in my case, I wouldn't be afraid. I
- 28:28Speaker 3: like girls that on the show.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so. I think it's important for the show.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Katie says in her confessional when she first met Sutton,
- 28:36Speaker 2: Sudden called her dull or something, and I was like,
- 28:39Speaker 2: this is so nice to know that the Sudden has
- 28:41Speaker 2: a habit of insulting people right when she first meets them,
- 28:43Speaker 2: and it's not just me, right, I was like, wow, you.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Don't feel that bad now, you don't feel that But
- 28:52Speaker 3: then also like that they do that, like they don't
- 28:55Speaker 3: even know you and they're like insulting you.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I wait until I I mean, I may
- 29:00Speaker 2: not have to know you, but I wait until I
- 29:02Speaker 2: watch a significant amount or you know, whatever it may
- 29:06Speaker 2: be I want to like feel it out, but she
- 29:10Speaker 2: just goes for it. But then then I got confused
- 29:12Speaker 2: when Gene was like, well you didn't get invite me
- 29:14Speaker 2: to your party this year. Sudden, I'm like, but you
- 29:16Speaker 2: just told us twenty five seconds ago that the reason
- 29:21Speaker 2: you know Katie is because of Sutton. So how else
- 29:24Speaker 2: were you? And was this just a way to bring
- 29:26Speaker 2: up Gina's ex husband that used to work for Sutton's
- 29:33Speaker 2: ex husband, right right?
- 29:35Speaker 3: And obviously Sun got a better divorce settlement than.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Gina, you think, gosh, well, it also must show the
- 29:43Speaker 2: difference in what their current what their jobs.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Were, positions obviously.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Then we get Emily thinks it's good for her kids
- 29:52Speaker 2: to more about the act of life and how Shane
- 29:57Speaker 2: presents himself to them. Emily says she's going to the
- 30:00Speaker 2: gym all the time, but Shane is doing nothing and
- 30:02Speaker 2: getting in and out multiple times a week. I can't
- 30:06Speaker 2: say I don't wish I couldn't eat in and out
- 30:08Speaker 2: multiple times.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I love.
- 30:10Speaker 3: I wish we had in and out of Miami. We
- 30:12Speaker 3: don't even have that here, thank God.
- 30:14Speaker 2: What is your alternative to in and out? Like, what
- 30:16Speaker 2: is your like go to place if you're a little
- 30:19Speaker 2: bit hungover or you just want something delicious.
- 30:23Speaker 3: I mean, I don't do like that joy through anymore,
- 30:25Speaker 3: like for that kind of food, like fast food. I
- 30:29Speaker 3: don't know what it would be. It would be. I
- 30:31Speaker 3: really just do it with Frankie and he loves bur key.
- 30:34Speaker 3: He loves like the chicken sandwich there. But which is
- 30:38Speaker 3: like I don't know if you guys have that. There's
- 30:40Speaker 3: like a chicket place, but you know they had second ding.
- 30:42Speaker 3: You get like a little bull but it's more like
- 30:44Speaker 3: white rice than black beads. It could beel like a
- 30:46Speaker 3: little bit more funny. But for sure if we had
- 30:49Speaker 3: in and Out here, it would be a hit. Like
- 30:50Speaker 3: I love it every time I'm in California. I have it.
- 30:54Speaker 2: It's so good now I want it right now.
- 30:55Speaker 3: I would have like bur King and McDonald's, like just
- 30:58Speaker 3: drive through for burgers. We have shake shock, my guys.
- 31:02Speaker 3: But it's not like that, you know, in and out situation.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Then we are back to seeing Gina and Travis
- 31:10Speaker 2: in the process of moving out from one another. Travis
- 31:13Speaker 2: says this move takes them from being one family unit
- 31:16Speaker 2: to more of an adult dating situation. Gina worries that
- 31:20Speaker 2: this was a mistake because she doesn't want to break up,
- 31:22Speaker 2: but she needs space. Travis tells Gina she needs to
- 31:25Speaker 2: stop attributing the move to the children because she's the
- 31:29Speaker 2: one who made the decision. I kind of agree with
- 31:33Speaker 2: him on that front, Like, if you want to move out,
- 31:36Speaker 2: if you want to be done.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Right, take responsibility and accountability, don't bring the kids.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I say, I'm making the decision if I want
- 31:44Speaker 2: to be with you or not, And right now we're
- 31:46Speaker 2: on top of each other and I can't get a
- 31:48Speaker 2: read from it, or or be even more blunt, I
- 31:53Speaker 2: don't want to live on this cram quarters anymore, and
- 31:56Speaker 2: you're not in a financial situation where you can change it.
- 31:59Speaker 2: And if I'm by myself, I have more of a
- 32:01Speaker 2: likelihood of being able to change my financial circumstances than
- 32:04Speaker 2: if I'm with you and your Agillien kids.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Like you know, I guess she doesn't want to court him,
- 32:09Speaker 3: and she's not being like one hundred percent honest with
- 32:12Speaker 3: him in saying the real truth, and she just wants
- 32:16Speaker 3: like sometime for herself to figure it out. I mean,
- 32:18Speaker 3: it kind of seems to me that she's like ready
- 32:21Speaker 3: to move on in a different direction, but you know,
- 32:23Speaker 3: time will tell.
- 32:24Speaker 2: And then this is I you know, I saw a
- 32:26Speaker 2: bunch of this online, and then it always makes me
- 32:28Speaker 2: a question. It's like, was this for a storyline? Was
- 32:31Speaker 2: this for that?
- 32:32Speaker 3: Oh? I hate when they do that. I hate when
- 32:34Speaker 3: they do that. Why for a storyline? Who's gonna talk
- 32:38Speaker 3: about their personal life? You know, put up the personal life.
- 32:40Speaker 3: That's so difficult to do just for a storyline. You know,
- 32:44Speaker 3: sometimes life for the situation gives you the storyline without
- 32:48Speaker 3: you even wanting it. I mean, I honestly, since I
- 32:51Speaker 3: don't do that, you know, it's hard for me to
- 32:52Speaker 3: think that any of these women would do something like
- 32:54Speaker 3: this for a storyline. I mean, you can do stupid
- 32:56Speaker 3: ship for a storyline, but not something that's so personal
- 33:00Speaker 3: involved your well being, your kids, you know, your children
- 33:03Speaker 3: and your family. I don't know. I think that's a
- 33:05Speaker 3: little that's going a little bit too far. I would
- 33:07Speaker 3: never do that. But then again, you know, I, you know,
- 33:10Speaker 3: I don't know, you know, these women whether they're willing
- 33:13Speaker 3: to do it or not.
- 33:15Speaker 2: And then this last part, when Jen and Ryan are
- 33:19Speaker 2: in the pool together and they felt the need to
- 33:22Speaker 2: show her taking him taking her top back, doing it
- 33:26Speaker 2: to the side. I was like, are we on Love Island?
- 33:29Speaker 3: Yeah? I agree. It was like it was so awkward.
- 33:31Speaker 3: I was like, why would you even do that? And
- 33:33Speaker 3: the kids are in the house. I don't know, I
- 33:35Speaker 3: didn't like it.
- 33:35Speaker 2: I thought it was really distasteful too, Like I'm all
- 33:38Speaker 2: for like going skinny dipping or doing whatever, but you
- 33:41Speaker 2: just made a good point. They've got six hundred and
- 33:43Speaker 2: forty two kids in the house in our own backyard.
- 33:47Speaker 3: The window and fallow the bead and suit or whatever. Yeah,
- 33:51Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I just thought, and we also know. I mean, it
- 33:56Speaker 2: doesn't really bother me when a bunch of the girls
- 33:58Speaker 2: will like strip down and and girls trip and they
- 34:01Speaker 2: jump in the pool and they all do that, and
- 34:03Speaker 2: it's like a bunch of women. But something about that,
- 34:05Speaker 2: like over the top intimacy that they're claiming to show
- 34:09Speaker 2: by taking her bikini top off in the pool, Like
- 34:12Speaker 2: I was like, what are you guys gonna have sex now?
- 34:16Speaker 2: Are you gonna let us know about our uti next week?
- 34:19Speaker 3: Right? That's not a good idea, But.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. But I do think this this season
- 34:30Speaker 2: is getting better and better, but we need more Tam.
- 34:32Speaker 2: I need more Tam too, right, was.
- 34:35Speaker 3: It just me like I really miss or so, you know,
- 34:37Speaker 3: I was expecting to see more of MOREA yeah, like
- 34:40Speaker 3: super excited.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Oh we don't we do get to see her at
- 34:43Speaker 2: the bar next the next week is I think the
- 34:46Speaker 2: week they get week? Yeah, so I think next week
- 34:49Speaker 2: the ads show us that we're gonna get I feel
- 34:53Speaker 2: like it's everybody's gonna get a little slappy joke, no
- 34:57Speaker 2: for sure.
- 34:58Speaker 3: And you know, a head too. You know. I feel
- 35:00Speaker 3: like Genus, who are having such a strong season, and
- 35:03Speaker 3: Jen and Shannon and even Alexis as a friend and Emily,
- 35:07Speaker 3: you know, I feel like they're a lot more involved.
- 35:09Speaker 3: You know, I think Tama's a little bit more quiet,
- 35:10Speaker 3: and you can see three first episodes and Heather as well.
- 35:15Speaker 3: So I hope to see both of both of both
- 35:18Speaker 3: of them because I really like both of them, so
- 35:20Speaker 3: I want to see them more.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Yep, me too, But thank you for another great recap.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I love that I can tell each week you're getting
- 35:28Speaker 2: more and more hooked, and I love it, I know, and.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I'm taking notes and I'm learning too from the girls
- 35:34Speaker 3: because they're veterans. They're like I'm only in my season seven,
- 35:38Speaker 3: but yeah, they're really great of them. I'm really enjoyed
- 35:41Speaker 3: watching it, and I love doing the podcast with you
- 35:43Speaker 3: as well.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Well, thank you so much for everything,
- 35:46Speaker 2: and I'll talk to you next week.
