- 0:13Now let's get to this week's show.
- 0:23My wallet is sobbing. I can hear it.
- 0:26I can hear it in the hall now. It is breaking down crying.
- 0:35It turns out that Attila the arrogant so and so he's got a
- 0:38fake hammer. Oh.
- 0:40A fake Whoa. As I say, Dick.
- 0:52Welcome to episode 72 of the Allegiance podcast.
- 0:56Currently while there's a lot of toy shows and appearances and an
- 1:00open pre-order even the ashes of back Bendor get it directly
- 1:03until 11 PM 13th of June. There's not really that much to
- 1:08talk about on the legions front otherwise.
- 1:12Maybe they can before the storm. I guess we were going to do an
- 1:17episode this week talking about other toy lines that we're
- 1:21interested in. There's a lot of news going
- 1:22around from, uh, the build up to San Diego Comic Con, etcetera,
- 1:27etcetera and different things that are going on.
- 1:29It is con season really at the moment, it seems, umm, but
- 1:34scheduling issues discovered that plans.
- 1:36So I've put together a best of episode covering some of our
- 1:41earlier stuff. And 1st up here's some legions
- 1:45lore from episode 8. And I think we start in mythos,
- 1:50that's where mythic legions takes place.
- 1:54And we start with these primordial gods and goddesses in
- 1:59a peaceful Kingdom. And if you're like me, you
- 2:03didn't know exactly what primordial meant.
- 2:06It means from the beginning of time.
- 2:09So kind of implied, but also nice to have it there.
- 2:13And there was two a God and a goddess, Helios and Celine.
- 2:19And to me, I don't know about you guys, this sounds a bit like
- 2:21Adam and Eve so far. Would we?
- 2:23Would we go there? Yeah, it's that so far, isn't
- 2:26it? They obviously were bored in the
- 2:29peaceful Kingdom so they they they had loads of children and
- 2:33what happens then? Helios gets jealous because
- 2:38Celine is too into her children and Helios decides to create
- 2:45these unnatural abominations. We don't know how I think.
- 2:49Does anyone have an idea of how or no?
- 2:52No, they don't recover that, do they?
- 2:54No. It might come obviously in more
- 2:56detail, but we can assume there's some sort of magic.
- 3:01I guess he wasn't in the lab back then to get rid of these
- 3:07kids, which is really this is when it really turns menacing
- 3:11here straight away. Those people just leave them in
- 3:15a supermarket. I feel like there's a story
- 3:22behind that, but. Well, supermarket driveway,
- 3:28swimming baths. Oh, poor man.
- 3:35Yeah, so, but that is, yeah, that is pretty extreme.
- 3:39And, and it's really what starts all the trouble off.
- 3:43And, you know, he just does that just to get the attention of
- 3:46his, of his missus. I mean, I've, I don't know about
- 3:52you, but I have better ideas. And maybe make her a nice cup.
- 3:56Maybe make her a nice cup of tea or, you know, cup of coffee in
- 4:00the summer on a hot summer even maybe make her a nice gin and
- 4:03tonic or a cocktail or something, you know, make sure
- 4:07the kids are in bed. Make a bit of dinner, Done.
- 4:11No problem happening, no. Yeah, he, he definitely went in
- 4:14the extreme route, didn't he? He did.
- 4:16Yeah. And of course, what happens
- 4:18then? Can I, can I, can I pitch him
- 4:22with the first question actually?
- 4:24Well, John, rather just to interrupt your flow straight
- 4:26away. So they were talking about all
- 4:30their children and, and my question I think came into my
- 4:32head straight was are the great beasts their children?
- 4:35Because it talks about man and women being on Earth.
- 4:37But then, yeah, I presume they have, they didn't have a few
- 4:40million human children. So is it?
- 4:43Are the great beasts somehow their children?
- 4:46Could well be, yeah. I mean, if he's able to create
- 4:48these unnatural abominations, surely when they're making
- 4:52children, they could, yeah, make these great beasts that, that,
- 4:56that we will get on to. But yeah, that is a good point
- 5:00because it doesn't actually say specifically if he managed to
- 5:06get the attention of Celine back by creating these abominations.
- 5:11Because what happens is they basically destroyed the place
- 5:15pretty much worse than the student fraud house after house
- 5:18party. The mythos equivalent of your,
- 5:24your, what is it? What did they say?
- 5:25In America? Your, your, your freshers first
- 5:30night party. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:33So all sorts of monsters, creatures, etcetera, which is
- 5:38cool and all and we kind of know them the best.
- 5:45The best four, I guess to come out of that are our BIG4.
- 5:50I thought that was interesting. We only know of four of them, so
- 5:55potentially there's more. So we've got, you know, OK, it
- 6:00works quite nicely because they can match them with the
- 6:02Horseman. But Four Horsemen of the
- 6:05Apocalypse, obviously, is kind of what they're loosely based
- 6:07on. Yeah, but it means there's
- 6:10others if they want to go that route and bring some of them in.
- 6:14Yeah, it's very clever, isn't it?
- 6:16They've Yeah, they've left it nice and like themselves.
- 6:18So, you know, let's have a wait. The four the.
- 6:22Four with the four horses is beautifully square for for a toy
- 6:27line, yes, but this little window of opening is also
- 6:31beautiful for the toy line when you get that far.
- 6:33Yes, yes. So we get Arathir, Necronominus,
- 6:37Elithia and Poxis, just in case you haven't been paying
- 6:40attention so far to episodes one to seven.
- 6:43I think we've mentioned them a few times.
- 6:47And then this is where we come on to your great beasts,
- 6:52Richard. Yes, we saw the four great
- 6:55beasts rise. Yes, exactly to.
- 6:59Take them on. Exactly.
- 7:02So we've got the lion warrior and that's the Odysseus, the
- 7:07winged serpent, that's Basilia, the crowned eagle that's eat the
- 7:13run good to dominate him, but we'll take him and the ivory
- 7:18sag, which is Zylona. And then there was wars for
- 7:24decades and eventually they banished the Dark 4.
- 7:29So that's the kind of helicopter view of what happened in the
- 7:33past. Which if you then look at the
- 7:36toy line, is kind of what has been released up until Arathea.
- 7:43Arathea was released if it feels like that's what's meant to
- 7:47have, sort of. Gone absolutely, isn't it?
- 7:51Yeah, I guess that of the beasts we've only got 2 so far, which
- 7:55is Etheron and Zylona. Ether on very, very early and
- 8:00and very difficult to get. Zylona was available for a long
- 8:04time. The other two, the winged
- 8:08serpent, which I think might be down along your line of lizard
- 8:13men, snake men. Rich, good.
- 8:17This is where it could get interesting for you there.
- 8:19And the lion warrior will always take a liony type beast.
- 8:24Thank you very much. Yeah, I think it's it's weird
- 8:27the the the four beasts, I think they should probably do.
- 8:31I mean, they said they're going to do another ether on at some
- 8:33point, which makes sense because the other one, although it's a
- 8:35great figure, does have problems standing up as all the birds do.
- 8:38And it's super rare, but I would imagine that they're going to
- 8:43release Silono in version two as well, just because it's it's a
- 8:46really basic figure. I mean, it's a lovely figure,
- 8:48but it's, it's quite basic, hasn't got any of the thrills
- 8:50you do. And thrills rather that you'd
- 8:53expect from a faction, you know, a faction God.
- 8:55Well, realistically, you think about it, they, they, they're
- 8:58going to redo the leaders of each group, which we'll get on
- 9:03to talking about this later. They'll redo the leaders of each
- 9:05group. You've got to then the beasts
- 9:08have almost got to trump them, haven't they, in terms of how
- 9:12they look? But I think, yeah, that's
- 9:15something we can talk about. I think when we talk about the
- 9:17way that what's going to be released and how it's going to
- 9:21present itself in the future, I think.
- 9:26Yeah, yeah, I have my own theory on this with regards to the
- 9:30releases, but maybe I'll I'll drop it in when we get a bit
- 9:33further in the story. So what interesting here I think
- 9:42as well is that each of the leaders of the evil and the good
- 9:47groups so that you're 8 factions that aren't that are kind of now
- 9:52factions in in the line, not counting the two splinter
- 9:56factions. So each one of them has a
- 9:58special weapon which kind of matches off and which will which
- 10:03kind of is also built into the story further down the line.
- 10:07So you have Arith here with the Arthur Blade, and this is where
- 10:10we have our War of the Arthur Blade video game coming.
- 10:17We have Necronominus with the God Raiser, which is that really
- 10:21cool slide that's coming with Necronominus.
- 10:26Really looking forward to that. We have a Lithia with the Soul
- 10:31Spiller. So that's the kind of scales
- 10:35kind of weapon that she has and and poxes with the plagues there
- 10:40bow and I love that this shoots off these kind of flies and
- 10:46stuff. And David Williams did a great
- 10:50drawing that Emil Coloured of poxes if you want to see maybe
- 10:55an image of that and how it would look.
- 10:58I think I described them as an artist super team or something
- 11:00like that. The pair run together so good.
- 11:04I wish I had I. Wish I had of the talent, the
- 11:07little. Baby.
- 11:08Tollworth of their talent, yeah. I'm not into the translucent
- 11:12plastic stuff like Mali's, but those bugs that are coming off
- 11:15the bow, Oh my goodness. Yeah, it's just a little the
- 11:20last. Thing the line.
- 11:20It's just it's a little so clever.
- 11:23Yeah, it's amazing. And then we have the four good
- 11:28weapons. So that's the Leodisseus hammer.
- 11:31It's the staff of Basilia. It's Etheron with the Heavens
- 11:39brand sword. It's the Serpent's birth staff,
- 11:43sorry for Basilia. And it's the silver cord bow for
- 11:49Zylona. And I think if you, if you know
- 11:54anything about the line, you'll, you'll already hear that those
- 11:57weapons sound familiar to the four leaders of the four good
- 12:04factions. And that's another interesting
- 12:08part of the story where they don't take their house name
- 12:11forward or their name of their their surname that we would
- 12:15traditionally have today. They actually take the name of
- 12:19the weapon as their last name. So then we have the Yeah,
- 12:24Attila, Leah, Sir Hera, Serpent's Bar, Gideon, Heaven's
- 12:28Brand, and Artemis Silvercord as the four leaders.
- 12:32I've never picked up on that before.
- 12:33That's actually really cool. There you go.
- 12:34So I've learned something already, Richard and I really
- 12:38hope our listeners are are learning.
- 12:40I'm trying to take this kind of slowly so that so that it sinks
- 12:44in because I think that we could we could really go down into the
- 12:48nitty gritty. But I think if we have the
- 12:50helicopter view, the nitty gritty will will be more
- 12:53interesting because you'll always be able to tie it back.
- 12:57Yeah. So, so that brings us to the
- 12:59present day. And that's where it says that
- 13:03man is the one that remains, which is why we don't have the
- 13:06four great beasts. And this is where I'll come back
- 13:11to my theory on the releases. We don't have the four great
- 13:16beasts because they don't exist in the present day, and I think
- 13:22that's why we don't have them yet.
- 13:23Now, the story might advance that the they somehow come back,
- 13:26which we can get on to later, but that Mal is not in there.
- 13:29That might sound pretty cool to me.
- 13:33And we talk about everybody and it's why in the story it makes
- 13:38sense that we're getting the Dark 4 back because they are
- 13:41coming back and that's coming part of the story.
- 13:43We're not getting the Dark Four from the history that we've just
- 13:47talked about. We're getting the present day
- 13:50dark four that are coming back. This is where we come to these
- 13:57shadow kingdoms within Mythos. So there's the mythos is kind of
- 14:03divided into four, and it's kind of four equal parts of the of
- 14:10the map of mythos, basically where where the four good
- 14:12factions reside and they come together at this castle in the
- 14:18middle. And then you have these four
- 14:20shadow kingdoms, which I didn't really know much about until I
- 14:26read about them today or the last days.
- 14:30There's Arathorne, which is Arathir, the Dead Lands, which I
- 14:36think we can safely say is Necronomimus, the Nether Gate
- 14:41which is Poxus, but that's actually just a gate into a
- 14:46realm of Ophidion, which is where they actually reside, and
- 14:52the White Spine, which is where Rich is hanging out with all
- 14:54these buddies in Phonetia's Brood.
- 14:57It's the best name as well for all.
- 14:58Yeah, the bloodless throne. Yeah, very cool.
- 15:04Here's some more lore from episode 9 where we delve further
- 15:08into the story of Attila and the army of Leodysius.
- 15:14You can imagine are there in a fight with Attila, Roar, Atlas
- 15:18if he returns or whoever sort of thing and the two weapons
- 15:20clashing and whether you know the good weapon actually
- 15:24counteracts the other one. Yeah.
- 15:27And the, it says the reason that the castle, or at least I, I
- 15:32deduce from what it says next, is that the reason the castle is
- 15:35at the centre is that Celine called all his Croatian
- 15:39creations towards her and she was obviously in the centre of
- 15:43the the mythos. And that's where the castle then
- 15:47became from there because all the beings got called towards
- 15:50the centre. And then obviously we saw from
- 15:53the map last week that everything, all the bad stuff is
- 15:56coming from the the the outside of the of the map.
- 16:00Yeah, I thought that was really quite interesting.
- 16:01It's like, you know, she was the the leader of the fight back
- 16:04almost, or she started to fight back rather, you know, the great
- 16:08beast then took it on. But she was one that actually
- 16:10did something and got them going.
- 16:13Yeah. And then Helios, he, he, his
- 16:16plan was to basically undo once he'd kind of got her attention
- 16:19back and maybe got rid of her, her living being so that they
- 16:25could wipe the slate clean and start again.
- 16:26He he wanted to undo what he'd done and then they have a clean
- 16:30slate. And let's start this again and
- 16:32do it in a way that maybe we can, you know, we can have the
- 16:37OR I can have your attention without your attention being
- 16:39taken up by all your creations. And then he starts to question
- 16:43that. And I think that was one thing
- 16:45that you had also brought up Richard, was that does he just
- 16:50question it or does he actually try and undo it and it doesn't
- 16:54work? Yeah, listening back to the the
- 16:56Jeremy thing, it was really interesting to hear that.
- 16:58I think, well, I'm doing the book will spell out in more
- 17:01detail. But yeah, did he active, you
- 17:03know, did he actively try and undo what he'd done?
- 17:05And they, they were just too powerful and he couldn't do
- 17:07anything about it now, which is saying something as he's a God.
- 17:10What do you think about it? I mean.
- 17:13Yeah, and then final, final couple of things and then we'll
- 17:16get on to your to more of your stuff.
- 17:20Richard that you've brought up here is I see that after the
- 17:24great wars the dark forces return.
- 17:28First trigger of that is that the order of ether on falls from
- 17:32grace. So I always knew it was their
- 17:35fault somehow. It was my instinct.
- 17:39I know that any order order of Ethan fans now hate me since the
- 17:43last couple of episodes, I'm sure because I'm really giving
- 17:47them unwarranted, their their faction unwarranted abuse, I
- 17:52would say. But yeah, that's what it says.
- 17:54It doesn't really give details as to what sort of grace they
- 17:57fell from. It seems to be a lot of
- 17:59infighting and a lot of arguing over and I mean, I guess it's
- 18:03the it's the religious element. There's always a contention
- 18:06there, you know, are you being religious enough?
- 18:08Are you sticking to the texts, etcetera, etcetera.
- 18:11I get that feeling. It's not written or it's not
- 18:14explained, but it seems to be that sort of thing.
- 18:17And then the second thing is the, the main trigger that
- 18:20allows the dark forces to return is the loss of the leaser
- 18:24hammer. So that seems to be key and it's
- 18:31Attila seems to be and the the whole faction, but Attila
- 18:34especially seems to be so arrogant that he didn't think
- 18:37this would matter. And he just thought the hammer
- 18:39was a symbol. And obviously the hammer is not
- 18:42a symbol. It's actually containing a great
- 18:45some sort of a power that's keeping the evil at Bay.
- 18:50But it it's written in the Lord that its loss allowed the evil
- 18:55to roam free again. And that was the kind of trigger
- 19:00that would there was able to bring them together for the
- 19:04thing that I really want to know more about.
- 19:06And I'm afraid I don't have any more for you on this, listeners.
- 19:09Is the covenant a shadow? What went on there?
- 19:13That's the first bit I'm going to flick to in the book when I
- 19:17see it. But yeah, so the Leiser hammer
- 19:21is lost a bit like my tactics laser hammer.
- 19:28I think there's more chance of the real one, so yeah than your
- 19:30tactics. One I'm going to keep making
- 19:32that joke every week until last week was going on this have to
- 19:36think of an orc joke Nick for next week yeah so so that's
- 19:40where I am so then Rich if if you want to bring up your
- 19:45highlights yeah but you can you can of course comment on just.
- 19:48I'm just going to say the the order of Ethan 4 falling or
- 19:52going into distribute in my head, it's a bit like the sort
- 19:54of Borgia Pope sorts of thing. It was like, you know, just
- 19:57disgrace. They were more interested in
- 20:00wine women. So explain.
- 20:03Explain that, Explain the Borgia Pope thing to me, because I saw
- 20:06you. You wrote that on our notes, but
- 20:09I didn't really understand it. So it was a a run of popes, I'm
- 20:12not quite sure how many, but they basically they weren't, you
- 20:16know, there was no religious element.
- 20:18They were. They were in power because of
- 20:20who they were rather than. I'm sure people tell me I'm
- 20:23slightly wrong on this, but rather than their dear.
- 20:26That's OK. It's our podcast.
- 20:27We're the highest you. Know nurse and that sort of
- 20:31thing so basically yeah, they were just you know they they
- 20:34just enjoyed themselves wine women just whatever they want.
- 20:40Maybe the Knights of In the Order got too interested in
- 20:43pulling the birds. Hey.
- 20:46Boom boom, there's there's the bomb for the.
- 20:52I need a sound effect. I need a sound effect for that,
- 20:55Malcolm. There's more whiskey to go.
- 21:00In terms of the hammer, I think, I think my question was, and
- 21:03it's something we can discuss here now, was it lost or was it
- 21:06deliberately removed? So did Attila go, do you know
- 21:10what? I'm I'm more powerful now.
- 21:12I don't want to be people going, oh, you're only powerful.
- 21:14Good, you've got the hammer. You know I'm going to bury the
- 21:17ham in my back garden and then you know people will still
- 21:21follow me anyway. I think it's more likely someone
- 21:24removed it from him to try and remove him from power and
- 21:28nothing. I think that's my personal sort
- 21:31of thoughts and this arrogance bit that we've talked about.
- 21:37You know, he's kind of, he's made out to be a bit of a Dick,
- 21:40isn't he? Let's face it.
- 21:43And I wonder if he just, you know, like arrogance, like, it
- 21:47doesn't matter. Who cares?
- 21:49Oh. Did he Luke Skywalker it over
- 21:51his shoulder and just and just walk off?
- 21:55He'd need a big arm for that. That's a big hammer.
- 21:59They're strong. They're strong fellas in the
- 22:02Army. Yeah, well, maybe it's like Otho
- 22:04or somebody that sneaked it away, Mal, because I'm injured.
- 22:07The BIOS do him that. He's not happy.
- 22:09Exactly, I'm really clinging on to that what that that little
- 22:12nugget that Otho is not happy with the with the the ousting of
- 22:17Atlas, because I think there's there's got to be story behind
- 22:20that got to be. Yeah, we want, we want the first
- 22:23series of the Netflix, the first series of the Netflix series to
- 22:28be Attila Atlas, although and that little argument going on
- 22:35there between them and all the kind of betrayals and and what
- 22:39happens to kick it off there. Then we'll have flashback to
- 22:43hell yes and Celine and all that.
- 22:45Carry on. And then we'll go forward to the
- 22:48Dark 4. Thank you everybody.
- 22:49That's our scoop for the week. Netflix myth Allegiance series
- 22:52On the Way, confirmed by John. Confirmed, yes.
- 22:56Yeah. So what?
- 22:58Not sure if it's going to be animated or live action.
- 23:00And my, my final question on the hammer is obviously he's got the
- 23:04hammer in the two pack now. Is that just to make the two
- 23:07pack better or has he, has he actually got it back and that's
- 23:10going to fall into the story? Yeah, that's an interesting
- 23:16thing as to what point in time some of the two point OS come
- 23:20from. And I did notice now I don't
- 23:23have the figure funnily enough, but I did notice on the website
- 23:29that the two point O Attila bio is the same.
- 23:34So for example the two point O Gorgo buyer is different or
- 23:42there's at least a little bit more info.
- 23:45But on the website the two point O Attila Biro is the same.
- 23:49So I. Wonder if it's a combination
- 23:50with the two point O's of just wanting to update the figure to
- 23:53what they would have liked to have done or with hindsight
- 23:57would have liked to have done and now can do.
- 23:59And some are progressions of the character.
- 24:03Because Artemis was a progression wasn't it?
- 24:06Of her or a previous version. I forget which way round.
- 24:10It was a previous. Version.
- 24:11A younger version. That's right.
- 24:15But I suppose we we have the other heroic weapons, so it's
- 24:20maybe just a way of closing that off as well for collectors.
- 24:24For sure, yeah. I think I miss when I said about
- 24:28where we were in the story. I think we're now at the point
- 24:30where the Dark Four are coming back.
- 24:33But previously we were after the original battle, weren't we?
- 24:40In the Yeah so. My my question to you guys is,
- 24:44Atlas is ousting. When we talked about this a lot
- 24:46already, obviously, what do you think happened?
- 24:49Was he ousted because he wasn't charismatic enough?
- 24:53Did they did? Were people worried that, you
- 24:55know, the army was losing its pizzazz and that they needed a
- 25:00more charismatic leader? Or was he ousted because Attila
- 25:03wanted the power? Yeah, I think that it's it's
- 25:07that he was too, too military, you know, so too rigid and too
- 25:11stuck in in in that sort of mode.
- 25:15So he wasn't flexible at all about things.
- 25:18Right, I say. I like.
- 25:20I like the other way. I like this idea that Tiller is
- 25:26he he craves power and control and Atlas, I see Atlas as being
- 25:34quite a wise person and and you know, and the fact that he can
- 25:41he he he attracts these other like, you know, lost souls.
- 25:46I feel like he must have some charisma about him.
- 25:49Yeah, I mean the way he is now, for sure.
- 25:51But I think he might have picked that up through his, you know,
- 25:55through his experiences after being thrown out, you know?
- 25:58Possible you do learn with your. Experiences so because as we as
- 26:06we as we see with Atlas, he ends up in the Colosseum at Mercurios
- 26:15and he ends up joining with Calabias to bring down
- 26:19Mercurius. So a lot of water has gone under
- 26:23the bridge there. You have mentioned here Richard
- 26:27of of what? How was he captured or how did
- 26:30he end up in the Colosseum? See, and again, in my head, this
- 26:35is this is Attila putting a a statement.
- 26:38Outgoing Atlas has quit. He doesn't want to help lead
- 26:42anymore. I've taken over.
- 26:44We're in actual fact this is Attila having Atlas arrested or
- 26:47something. Sold off into slavery
- 26:49effectively, then ended up in the Colosseum.
- 26:52Get rid of the myth. Make it disappear.
- 26:55But unfortunately, as if I'm not in Gladiator the movie, it
- 26:58doesn't. Work.
- 27:00And then what is this one about? Does the army of Leo Dyseus only
- 27:04recruit clerics and majors who are willing to fight?
- 27:08So what? What angle are you coming up
- 27:10from there? I was reading is it Faustia's
- 27:14bio, I think, and she was talking about the cleric, but
- 27:17she they didn't use battle magic.
- 27:18But it was effectively saying that I think that, you know,
- 27:21she's trained in that and, you know, isn't at all afraid to use
- 27:24that. And I was got just got me
- 27:26thinking like, because it's such a militaristic faction, you
- 27:30know, they're not interested in clerics and mages that, you
- 27:32know, do healing powers and that necessarily it's like, no, we
- 27:35want the ones that want to fight.
- 27:37They're not, you know, they want to focus their spells on
- 27:40fighting because I know, I know in one of the other sections it
- 27:44talks about the convocation of Basilica welcoming in magic
- 27:50users from the other factions as well into their grand library
- 27:53to, to, to learn about magic. And I can imagine the ones from
- 27:58the, the army of the Odysseus turning up and going.
- 28:01Just point us in the the, the war spells section.
- 28:04I don't want to know about, you know, nature and this sort of
- 28:06stuff. Just point me into how you
- 28:08destroy your enemies. Action of the tree.
- 28:10I'm going to do, Oh yes, I'm going to do my studying there
- 28:13and then I'm going to go back and I'm going to fight.
- 28:15OK, so in order the number one way you get into the army, but
- 28:18it is you got to fight whatever the skills you have after that
- 28:22is fair enough and and we can use them, but if you're not a
- 28:25fighter, you know, go over to some other faction.
- 28:30Episode 13 is where the fake hammer from our intro was
- 28:33discussed and the first, the first bit of information is
- 28:38basically the last hammer. So we've we've mentioned that
- 28:41before. You remember that Rich right
- 28:44that Attila has lost his hammer. Yeah.
- 28:48And Mal, we, we mentioned before as well that Oh well, Attila has
- 28:54in the war of the Arthur Blade figures.
- 28:59Update I have not received my package.
- 29:01There has been no moment to my package since.
- 29:05But when you were mentioning where the where the keep was or
- 29:10whatever, I was going to ask you to check that out on the cloth
- 29:13map and then remember that you hadn't got it.
- 29:17So which? Is exactly why you should have
- 29:19mentioned it now. Now it's too nice to do things
- 29:24like that. Rich thought of that.
- 29:26He would have mentioned it. Oh, 100%.
- 29:30Yeah, no, I went to the website where there's a perfectly nice
- 29:33high resolution picture of the map when needed.
- 29:36Uh, one day I would podcast in front of the cloth map.
- 29:40There is a little gap there you see on the wall.
- 29:42That's where it'll go. Uh, so, uh, it turns out that
- 29:49Attila the arrogant so and so he's got a fake hammer.
- 29:54Oh, a fake? Yeah.
- 29:59Whoa. As I say, Dick.
- 30:04It's basically like West Ham and Ted Lasso fake hammers.
- 30:09See what you did there? Do not explain that joke.
- 30:13Google it. Google it.
- 30:17Yeah, so it's a fake hammer. So Attila as, as Mal has said,
- 30:25complete Dick, he's going around with this hammer, like Jeremy
- 30:31said, because he's so badass. He's still able to, you know,
- 30:35rule and kind of, you know, win battles and all this with this
- 30:39fake hammer. But it doesn't possess any of
- 30:42the magic and the kind of power that the original one has
- 30:47because basically the the bad guys have it.
- 30:53Gore Tek has seen it. This is my thing that Jeremy's
- 30:56like, oh, he's still he's, you know, he's so badass and he's so
- 30:59dominant. He and I'm like, he lost a giant
- 31:02hammer. How does anyone lose a giant
- 31:04hammer? Oh, it's behind the sofa.
- 31:08Oh shit, no it's not. Yeah, and he lost it to the main
- 31:13enemies of his faction. It wasn't as if somebody else
- 31:16cares. Snag came in and grabbed it.
- 31:18He'd lost either. Yeah, he couldn't have lost it
- 31:20down when he was down in Salona trying to chat up Artemis Silver
- 31:24Cord, you know. No, no, no, no.
- 31:27He lost it and gave it to the Legion of Arthur.
- 31:34I mean, ridiculous. So they have it and they also
- 31:42talk about the fact that the dark weapons still remain in
- 31:45mythos, and the reason the dark weapons still remain in mythos
- 31:51is because they were created in mythos, so there was no way of
- 31:55taking them out of mythos. So that also leaves open the
- 32:01possibility that they can retrieve the dark weapons and
- 32:05for example, the other blade to bring back Arethere.
- 32:10It would be the first of the dark four that they're going to
- 32:13try and get back. And they have discovered the
- 32:16location of the Arthur blade and it's with the elves in Castle
- 32:20Silverthorne and Rich. It's no surprise to you that the
- 32:24elves were the ones that were the start of the problem for the
- 32:27good guys of. Course it were, yeah.
- 32:31So that. Would be that game.
- 32:32No Peace man, peace and let's get like sliced up.
- 32:36So that's, uh, that's their first port of call.
- 32:38They're going to get the ather blade from the Isles, from
- 32:42castle Silverhorn. That's the covenant, the shadow.
- 32:45They signed the pact to retrieve the four dark weapons, starting
- 32:49with the ather blade. That's why there's the War of
- 32:52the Ather blade from the mythic Legions tactics game, uh, which
- 32:56apparently has wonderful figures that were released with it.
- 32:59And and that's, I don't think I ordered any, to be honest.
- 33:08Yeah, to be honest, yeah. I think I just the $1000 back a
- 33:14couple years ago. I just, I actually just think I
- 33:16threw that away when I was up for a walk.
- 33:17Oh dear. Yeah.
- 33:21So that's so it's yeah, the elves are going to get their
- 33:23asses kicked. I mean, that's a spoiler for the
- 33:25myth is leading tactics game, to be honest.
- 33:27Yeah, the elves are are getting it.
- 33:31The Arthur blade's going to get lost.
- 33:33Arthur is coming back. And after that, Oh, yeah.
- 33:38And Valgar, he was getting, he was getting the hearts when he
- 33:41said, oh, it's the soul Spiller. Can you, can you get the soul
- 33:44Spiller back? You know, he was, he was really
- 33:48getting excited about the fact that he was going to get the
- 33:51Soul Spiller and then obviously Elithia as a result.
- 33:56He's obviously a massive mummy's boy.
- 33:59He is, yeah. Actually, that's Necronominus.
- 34:06I hope he's not like Homelander in The Boys.
- 34:13He is not bad looking to be fair.
- 34:17Again, that's probably not a figure they'd release.
- 34:24No, let's be honest. No.
- 34:28Yeah. So that's that's the covenant to
- 34:32shadow. Any further comments on that
- 34:35guys? What do you think, Rich?
- 34:40That's really interesting. I'm not.
- 34:43I'm not at all surprised that until I lost the hammer.
- 34:45Because he's a prat. That's a good word, Prat.
- 34:49Yeah, yeah. But I I guess maybe I mean, did
- 34:54Jeremy Hinton whether Atlas knew about the hammer being lost and
- 34:57that was part of why Atlas. No.
- 34:59Went or OK? But this could of course come in
- 35:02a later chapter. This isn't.
- 35:04It could or until I could push Atlas out because he's like, oh
- 35:07he he'd know it's fake. Out you go bro.
- 35:10I think this has happened after he's pushed Atlas out.
- 35:14I reckon that's a bit of. His well, I reckon Atlas has
- 35:17figured it out and then gone Oh yeah, I'm not hanging around
- 35:21with this douche bag if if he's kind of going to do this kind of
- 35:25a move. Do you reckon?
- 35:27Oh, no, I think it's more that Hill has gotten complacent after
- 35:33all these sort of success and, you know, bit of wine, a bit of
- 35:38partying. Showed off his.
- 35:40Hammer with a few ladies and you know.
- 35:43You reckon so? Jeremy didn't say how they got
- 35:47the hammer then. He just said that Gorthock had
- 35:49said he'd seen it. Yeah, he just said yeah, that
- 35:53they that they had got the hammer and the gore dot coms.
- 35:57He had seen it because it's in the the the Arthur guys.
- 36:01Have it he he was only reading this particular chapter.
- 36:04Yeah. So there there is probably
- 36:06explanation of how they get the hammer in there as well.
- 36:08Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bang Bang Max was.
- 36:12That's really interesting though, shows basically the
- 36:14weird Clare points on. His head.
- 36:19I like where it's going here. Yeah, I can't.
- 36:21I mean, we said it at the time, but I can't wait for that book.
- 36:24It's going to be so good to get all these things filled in and
- 36:27just get another appreciation. Yeah, I just want a massive
- 36:30coffee table thing, you know? Yeah, yeah.
- 36:32Jeremy was saying he envisions this is like a big coffee table
- 36:36book and, you know, say a mix of art and stories and something
- 36:40you could just pick up and flick through.
- 36:41And I think all three of us. Yeah, I just want people, you
- 36:45know, I just want people to come into the house to actually just
- 36:48pick it up and go, what's this? You know, Yeah.
- 36:51And then you can kind of have an in to show them their figures,
- 36:53the figures, rather than they're just like, oh, those figures.
- 36:56That's weird, Diverting away from the Lord this time.
- 37:03Here's some of my Mythic legions tactics delivery saga, which
- 37:07spanned multiple episodes around this time last year.
- 37:13Maybe just to to predate that a little bit.
- 37:14I know people are very, very eager to hear about my trials
- 37:19and tribulations of my tactics figures on FedEx.
- 37:23And so I recorded a top secret call this week between myself
- 37:29and FedEx. So the first voice you hear on
- 37:32this call was me and then the other voices, people on the
- 37:36other end from FedEx. So I just have a listen and
- 37:39you'll hear what I'm dealing with here.
- 37:41It's it's pretty tough, pretty tough goal.
- 37:42Now look here my good man, I don't want to talk to you no
- 37:46more you empty headed animal food truck whopper.
- 37:51I fart in your general direction.
- 37:53Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of
- 37:57elderberries. Is there someone?
- 38:00Else up there we can talk to. No.
- 38:02Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.
- 38:08So that's how it's going. Just so you know, there may be
- 38:12further updates next week, but that's the update for this week.
- 38:16So the big news guys is I got my monkey King figure.
- 38:19Oh. Yeah.
- 38:20He didn't get, he didn't get caught in customs.
- 38:23And the even bigger news is what's the saga is over?
- 38:27Oh my word, I got my mythic legions tactics figures.
- 38:32Oh yeah, surely there's like, celebrate good time.
- 38:41I was going to maybe I should. I was too lazy today.
- 38:47Yeah. So I got a box, this box this
- 38:50week and our delivery and it was two boxes.
- 38:53It was the Monkey King smaller box and very large big box with
- 38:59my mythic legions tactics figures which was a couple of
- 39:02extra male orcs and then one each of the other ones and a
- 39:06Tupac or two Tupacs. Actually I bought 2 tupacs.
- 39:08I didn't realize I did, but I bought 2 Tupacs and and then the
- 39:14coins on the map and the T-shirt.
- 39:17The, uh, picture of the coins you sent, They actually got
- 39:19really, really good. They are.
- 39:21Cool the the frustrating thing about the coins is there's only
- 39:245 factions. Uh, so they didn't unlock them
- 39:28all and a feel for what they are.
- 39:31They probably should have just done them.
- 39:33Yeah, but I hope they plan to do them in the future because it
- 39:36would feel a little bit incomplete.
- 39:38Yeah, I had no interest in those in the Kickstarter, but have you
- 39:41seen yours? If they released all the
- 39:42factions now, I'd quietly bias. Yeah, yeah, I'd be happy even.
- 39:46Like I don't care that I heard that.
- 39:47Like maybe I have them and other people don't.
- 39:49I'd be happy if they just released them now as a maybe
- 39:52exclusive set with all of them. I'd be cool with that.
- 39:57That would mean then that I could fill up the shelves.
- 40:00But uh, yeah, so amazingly so, uh, I was actually even in touch
- 40:05with FedEx as well. And they said that the problem
- 40:09was they did a software update in FedEx and then they had
- 40:14connection problems, I suppose automatic connection problems
- 40:17with the people that handle their customs, uh, clearance.
- 40:22And instead of just doing it, they must have just left it
- 40:25sitting there. I guess you're an IT manager.
- 40:29You do it. Yeah.
- 40:30So it's, I suppose every day they were like, yeah, it's going
- 40:32to be fixed. It's going to be fixed, going to
- 40:34be fixed. And I guess what happens, it
- 40:35just sits there for day on, day on day.
- 40:38And then they eventually decided, because you said it
- 40:40still wasn't fixed, but they just decided to release the
- 40:43packages. So I don't know if I'll get
- 40:45charged now. I haven't got charged yet.
- 40:47They're IT guys. With the charge, whatever it is,
- 40:50but I'm hoping that they maybe didn't apply the full charge or
- 40:54something as a hopefully at least they waived their €15 in
- 40:59fee that would be, that would be fair.
- 41:01And I didn't. Yeah.
- 41:02You'd really hope, couldn't you? They didn't.
- 41:05So yeah, I was going to say they didn't think they needed to with
- 41:07all the double billing they've probably done, which has got to
- 41:09be part of this. Oh.
- 41:10Yeah, yeah, you've paid my Yeah. So absolutely nothing the
- 41:22Horsemen could have done with this.
- 41:24Umm, because I've actually, I've actually know other people that
- 41:26had packages with FedEx from the States, got stuck for a month.
- 41:31So completely unrelated to the Horsemen, they were very good
- 41:34every time I contacted them, but, uh, they couldn't really do
- 41:38much from their side, and I understand why now.
- 41:41And finally, to get you up to speed on Miles, beloved cosmic
- 41:45legions, here's an overview of the world taken from episode
- 41:50#21. Thanks for listening this week.
- 41:54We'll be back next week with a brand new episode story of
- 42:00Kazmiri Ma. Yeah, let scoured bar and wide
- 42:05across all the source horsemen and any other source of cosmic
- 42:10legions law and this is what we've come up with you've.
- 42:14Travelled to Kazmiri, no. Oh, well, yeah, I mean, that's
- 42:18I'm still working on the rocket. That's that goes what I'm
- 42:21saying. Yeah.
- 42:22Yeah. So Cosmirium, the birth place of
- 42:27planets, stars and even life itself.
- 42:30Created by cosmic gods of old, the Orion authors and their
- 42:34Cronin offspring. It is a system divided into five
- 42:37rings centred around a fiery son named Zol, the first star.
- 42:43Each circle of this system performs a specific role.
- 42:47So there you go. We've got the settings, but
- 42:48there's that's Cosmium itself. That's that's our.
- 42:52Universe. And then we get the five rings.
- 42:55Yeah, so the first string throw pass.
- 42:59Same with the puzzled look. The innermost circle and home of
- 43:03auras. The 1st planet and home to the
- 43:05Orion Ortho gods. So this one is.
- 43:10So this one is kind of the yeah, this is the original, I guess
- 43:14the birth place of of it. Sounds like it, doesn't it?
- 43:17It sounds like that's where our super beings, if you want to put
- 43:22them that way, might be. Might.
- 43:23Be related a bit to Legions. This is where Celine and Helios
- 43:28were kind of hanging out. Yeah, OK.
- 43:29Yeah, exactly. Yeah, Zatos, I said that
- 43:33weirdly. The 2nd circle and heart of
- 43:36military power in the Pharaohs Kingdom as the last of the
- 43:40original Cronin races, the Fair Ox enforced the will of Auras.
- 43:45So there you go. That sounds like a militaristic
- 43:47zone. And this is the first centre
- 43:50mention of this fair ox, but I think they they become quite
- 43:53important. Yes, yes.
- 43:58And then we've got Mesos. The 3rd circle is the most
- 44:02populated of the rings and the big, biggest, busiest hub of
- 44:06civilian activity in the system. I'm guessing we'll get a lot of
- 44:10stories. Coming out of memoirs, yes, MEMS
- 44:15characters here. Yeah, and then we've got
- 44:17Thermos, the 4th and fastest growing of the Circles.
- 44:23Rapidly expanding access to tech created in Theoremos has been
- 44:27has been providing unprecedented independence and power to the
- 44:31citizens of Cosmirium. So again, I think we're going to
- 44:35get a lot of action going on there.
- 44:37That's where the technology is happening, so.
- 44:41Yeah, and Exos, the 5th Ring is the largest, furthest, and least
- 44:47chartered ring of Cosmirium. The dense and mysterious nature
- 44:51of this sector has aided in forging it into a haven for
- 44:54outcasts, scavengers, and criminals looking to escape the
- 44:58reach of Fair ox power. So.
- 45:01OK. So that's that gives us a bit
- 45:04more context on the Fair Ox. So for me then that sounds like
- 45:08the fair Ox is kind of a bit like the Empire in Star Wars
- 45:12maybe. Would you say it?
- 45:14It yeah, it feels like that, although I get that vibe off and
- 45:18we'll talk about that a bit later.
- 45:20But Tusk as well, although maybe they're more of a a trade, like
- 45:26a trade, I suppose, trade federation, trade empire,
- 45:28whatever you. So yes, I suppose perhaps that'd
- 45:31be more of a link there. I think the fair ox to me in my
- 45:35head sound a bit more like the shadows and the vollons in
- 45:38Babylon five who were original races like, you know, they were
- 45:44the original splinter races from the original immortal God type
- 45:47things in that universe sort of thing.
- 45:49And they were they were trying to, you know, direct the the
- 45:53path of all younger races and that sort of thing.
- 45:55So I got that sort of image of about the fair ox in my head.
- 45:59Yeah, I think that also makes sense.
- 46:04All right, and then we get to a paragraph that opens up a lot of
- 46:08intrigue and suggests where the story and the direction of
- 46:12things might go. The Orient vision of a
- 46:15harmonious and united system remains seemingly attacked under
- 46:19Ferox rule. The five rings of known peace
- 46:22and prosperity for ages. But things are not always as
- 46:25they seem. Harmony is fragile, and even the
- 46:29smallest of fishes can transform into a malignant, crumbling
- 46:32chasm. When the chasm opens up, what
- 46:35will be revealed? It could very well be the end of
- 46:38a utopian dream, but it could also be the first glimpse into a
- 46:43bright cosmarium. Well, so it's really setting the
- 46:47scene at at a point where, you know, we're we're at a point in
- 46:52the whole thing where we don't know what's actually going to
- 46:55happen in this place. It's like a tipping point of
- 46:59Cosmirium. So definitely it's kind of yeah.
- 47:03And these things have kind of, you know, developed.
- 47:06You've obviously talked about these five rings, but nothing
- 47:10has really, there's been no kind of big event that has kind of
- 47:15caused it to go in one or another direction.
- 47:18But I guess that that's where we're going towards no.
- 47:22Well, the hints, and we may or may not get to it today, is it
- 47:28feels like Igar is going to be part of this, doesn't it?
- 47:33And whatever's going on with him, he, there's very much, he's
- 47:36a key character in the in the story.
- 47:40So how is that going to come about?
- 47:44OK, so I've sort of taken it ring, ring by ring.
- 47:47This is going to turn into a comedy gold episode again, isn't
- 47:50it? Nothing wrong with a nice ring,
- 47:52yeah? As long as we keep the Beaver
- 47:56basher away from it all, we'll be OK.
- 47:59It's the perfect place for the Beaver basher.
- 48:02So ring motion. Sorry.
- 48:09So ring one is where the the Orion author gods are, and I'm
- 48:13wondering if we'll ever see those.
- 48:15It's a bit like Celine and Helios in mythics, isn't it?
- 48:17It's like everyone's. Are we ever going to see them?
- 48:19Are we ever going to see these? Or is it just going to?
- 48:21Be I hope we see them sooner than Elias and Celine, please.
- 48:26Oh really? I can see them being like the
- 48:29epic conclusion of the story, which we never once say.
- 48:34No, they don't. It's like the Four Horsemen of,
- 48:38you know, of mythic legions. Doesn't need to end after them,
- 48:42you know? And this could be, I don't know,
- 48:45I just want some gods on my shelves.
- 48:48Give me a break here. So the Fair Ox, I personally
- 48:54would like to see one of these sooner rather than later.
- 48:57I think because they're such an important part of the story.
- 49:00I don't think we'll necessarily see them sooner rather than
- 49:02later, but they're such an important part of the story.
- 49:04I think you know just one of them as a background character
- 49:07or involved in the wave would be a really good way to do it.
- 49:10I don't know. I think we potentially could
- 49:12because they're described as sort of being like, they're
- 49:15almost like the military, aren't they?
- 49:16And the peacekeepers And, you know, so we might see one of
- 49:21them some point. That would be great.
- 49:25And then the next question in my head is what would they look
- 49:27like and not like an in depth thing, but just in AI got two
- 49:32options. Either they're going to be like
- 49:33little aliens, all scientific minded and that sort of thing.
- 49:37And then it's the mechanical side of the the military sort of
- 49:40thing or the big hulking brutes. And that's how they enforce the
- 49:45military. Well, they are Cronin, so have
- 49:52we seen a hint at what they look like in the Cronin skull?
- 49:56Or is that? Different.
- 49:57It sounds like the Cronin are variations of a race, doesn't
- 50:04it? Maybe maybe casts classes of a a
- 50:07particular race. So the fair Ox are one of those
- 50:12classes casts whatever you would call it.
- 50:15Mal, I didn't put two and two together there.
- 50:17That you're quite right, yeah, could well be.
- 50:20That's what this is for Rich, is to talk through it.
- 50:22You know, we nobody expects us to come here with the answers.
- 50:25We're coming here with the the data, what's out there.
- 50:29And then we we widely speculated between the lines.
- 50:32We proved. We admitted one, didn't we?
- 50:34They come wildly speculate and not get half of it right.
- 50:39I'm. Sure, they'll enjoy this.
- 50:42I also would like to see more of the Cronin races so they talk
- 50:46about the Fair Ox being the last ones, but for me it's like, well
- 50:50they're the last one that's maybe intact as as a entire
- 50:52civilization, but I'd be a handful of a few other ones that
- 50:57are still dotted. Around them.
- 50:59Well, can I share my, my thought on this that I, I almost don't
- 51:03want to in case I'm right, because it's it'll be yeah.
- 51:07But I'm wondering if Olek and his race is actually going to
- 51:15turn out to be Cronin, because you think about his head shape.
- 51:19Yeah. And yeah, then and then the this
- 51:23sort of hints at him being, you know, key pivotal to whatever's
- 51:29going on. So he could be first of the good
- 51:34fire, rocks or whatever, you know.
- 51:38Well, another another well, he's not a fair rocks.
- 51:41He's something else, but it could that could be one of the
- 51:43crown and. Got you.
- 51:45Whatever, you know, it doesn't really indicate where what the
- 51:49fair ox are. It just says the last of the
- 51:51original Cronin races. So is it cast?
- 51:54Is it? I don't know what, but yeah.
- 51:57And also Alcatar's in Ring 5, isn't it?
- 51:59So that's far enough out that the fair Ox might not
- 52:02necessarily travel that far out themselves.
- 52:05Or is he there because they don't want him around?
- 52:08Maybe. We don't know why he's.
- 52:10Good stuff. But yeah, I'm really hoping if I
- 52:17mean, I'm sure Eric probably isn't listening, but if you are
- 52:19listening, Eric, please do a few more the the Cronin racist
- 52:23something. I agree.
- 52:24With that one, agree with that one.
- 52:26Yeah. And then my last fair OX thing
- 52:28is I mentioned it very briefly before, was the, as they're the
- 52:31military, I'd imagine they're going to have amazing mechs,
- 52:34robots, that sort of thing. So when we eventually get to a
- 52:38fair Ox wave, I can imagine that being very heavily mech
- 52:41orientated and that sort of thing, which is another reason
- 52:44why I think maybe it might be further down the line before we
- 52:46get a fair ox wave. Now isn't that interesting?
- 52:50My visual of the fair Ox immediately because they're an
- 52:55ancient race, have been wearing much more ancient armour, which
- 53:00I know sounds weird if you're going to control people like the
- 53:04Tusk who are so like, who to me are the high tech group?
- 53:08The ones with all the money and all the tech.
- 53:13Although then there's mentioned, where is it?
- 53:20There's mention of that theoremos where there's
- 53:24expanding access to text. So maybe there's a, a group in
- 53:28there that actually is where all the text coming from.
- 53:31I don't know. But yeah, my my thought with
- 53:33Fair Ox was that they'd actually be quite ancient in their their
- 53:38garb. Eric, if you're listening, I'm
- 53:40quite happy to go with Miles version of that too.
- 53:43That also sounds awesome. Yeah, I think we've seen
- 53:50characters like that even in Star Wars, the prequels, with
- 53:54the kind of very ornate robes and stuff like that.
- 53:57But it just then suggests there's something else about
- 53:59them that would enable them to keep control of everyone that
- 54:04isn't necessarily that deck. Maybe I've just The problem is
- 54:13now when we talk about this, I've just got visions of Jeremy
- 54:16screaming at the radio it. Should be This is why we're
- 54:19doing it just to trigger you Jeremy, we'll.
- 54:23Turn off, we'll turn our phones on in a bit.
- 54:25And then we just got these abusive messages from and going
- 54:27seriously, stop giving people false.
- 54:29Vote no. I have to pull turn it on on
- 54:32Friday. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:35Anyway, Rich, continue with the with the circles or or your
- 54:45coffin fit that you've quite nicely gone on mute for which I
- 54:48appreciate very much. Glass of water and that went the
- 54:51wrong way. My apologies.
- 54:53So circle three, I would like this to be the big wave for this
- 54:59year. Is something set in circle 3?
- 55:04I think Obviously so far we've had waves one or two have been
- 55:09in the 5th ring. Wave three.
- 55:11I can't remember if you said it where it was or not.
- 55:14We just called it an outpost, didn't it?
- 55:16Outpost. But that could be closer to this
- 55:19type of a scenario than. Could be, but I, I think pulling
- 55:23us so we've we've had that sort of the out.
- 55:26I've got all hands here now so John and Mal can see my hands
- 55:29waving all over the place because I'm getting.
- 55:30Excited. As long as it doesn't hit your
- 55:31mic, I'm good. But yeah, they've they've done 2
- 55:38waves in ring five. I wouldn't want them to stay in
- 55:44ring 5 for the next big wave. I think that would be a mistake.
- 55:47And I think even moving to wave to ring 4 wouldn't necessarily
- 55:50work. I think ring three would be more
- 55:53of a a system universe building sort of platform in your rights
- 55:59that this is this is what they're the main part of
- 56:02Cosmirium, as it were, looks like.
- 56:03And then we can take you off to four or five to whatever
- 56:06afterwards again sort of thing. But I'd be worried if they if
- 56:09they kept sticking in five they. I don't think they were.
- 56:13They don't know they wouldn't be, they wouldn't be the world
- 56:15building and they might lose people a little bit because of
- 56:17that. But are we going to get the the
- 56:21Cosmic Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker then in this
- 56:25ring villager or whatever? The funny thing is, I'd argue
- 56:33cosmic villages are genuinely more interesting because in this
- 56:37universe they're going to be situated in, well, Alpo Saxius
- 56:42and OK, I suppose the chefs and that nobody cares about.
- 56:46Although although we see all machines making the food these
- 56:48days. True, true.
- 56:49You know, anyone that's a human is going to be interesting for
- 56:52some reason or another. Or not human but like a non non
- 56:55robot. Organic shall we say?
- 56:58Yes. Yeah, but I think I think basing
- 57:01it in wave 3IN, wave 3IN system three would be it would be a way
- 57:07to snag people in like a major storyline.
- 57:09Just keep keep it going strong. It'll give the casual collector
- 57:12something else to hold on to as well rather than going well,
- 57:14this this line looks great, but it's just about a prison and
- 57:17something happening in the the outer reaches of this place
- 57:20rather than like. And here's here's something
- 57:22meaty for the middle to to anchor you and then it can go
- 57:27different places. That was one thing as I was
- 57:30reading through stuff that I thought actually, you know what,
- 57:32this is a fantastic way of doing things is there's so much
- 57:35opportunity for side stories, you know, unrelated to the main
- 57:41story, or maybe they're characters that are start off in
- 57:43a Side Story and join the main story.
- 57:47But yeah, which lends it to what you've just said there.
- 57:50You could have a whole, doesn't have to be related to the main
- 57:53story. You could have a whole little
- 57:54bit of a story that's gone on in whichever ring it happens to be.
- 58:00It doesn't have to all be focused on the main story at
- 58:02all. Yeah, I definitely, yeah, I
- 58:08think it was just doing good. Again.
- 58:10It's like, oh man, Kylie, I'm telling them what to do for
- 58:12business, but just to just to give it.
- 58:14Deserve deserve podcast. We can turn them on our podcast.
- 58:18It's not like we're ringing up their their offices and saying
- 58:21you must do this. This is true.
- 58:26I'll just make sure I don't get carried away interim for a day
- 58:28and just grab Eric and go right there.
- 58:30Eric, here's my idea. It's.
- 58:30Different problems. We will not be responsible for
- 58:33Rich at the interim for a day as Rich, not rich as a host of the
- 58:39Eurasians podcast. We'll make that clear to Jeremy
- 58:42right now. And then that takes us to the
- 58:474th ring and reading the story, this is the powder keg.
- 58:51This is Terumios Terumios. Which?
- 58:56Slog relies on Tarixium because I know from our episode where we
- 59:01talked about the cosmic wave one and the figures and Tarixium was
- 59:07quite a big part of his story. And this is Perimios, which
- 59:11again is is I would say the same type of word.
- 59:16And this is where all the tech is created, so I think there
- 59:20might be some connection there somehow.
- 59:21Maybe not. That's a good show.
- 59:23I know they manufactured the Tarixia mountain of Alcatar, but
- 59:28you know, maybe the the guy invented it in Tarimios.
- 59:32Anyway, guy or girl, sorry. Well.
- 59:36Well, it was Ziri Ziri who created it, but.
- 59:39That's right. Yeah, it was Ziri.
- 59:41It wasn't. It maybe there's some link to
- 59:43yeah, as you say, the Rumios through Moss.
- 59:49OK, Rich, so what's your? So, yeah, so I, I think it's a
- 59:54sort of powder keg. I think people, people are
- 59:56getting a taste for independence.
- 59:58So you've, you've got people in the third system, the third
- 1:00:01ring. Oh, God, there's gonna be
- 1:00:02different names here who are just the settled.
- 1:00:05They're just getting on with their lives.
- 1:00:06You know, this is, this is the way it's always been done.
- 1:00:08The fair rocks are relatively close to them.
- 1:00:11So if anything does happen, they're there straight away.
- 1:00:14Whereas this is the, you know, people are getting more access
- 1:00:16to more stuff by the storyline. They're going to start wanting
- 1:00:20independence. This is where it might kick off
- 1:00:21a little bit. And I could my suggestion again
- 1:00:25would be next year do a a ring four wave and have it some sort
- 1:00:30of independence movement against some fair ox military people
- 1:00:34coming in to try and put that down.
- 1:00:37Sounds good. Yeah, sounds good.
- 1:00:40And then you could have the you know, the fair Ox would probably
- 1:00:43win. Then the independence people
- 1:00:44flee to the 5th ring, and then you can circle it back then to
- 1:00:47Alcatar and do all that sort of thing if you want to.
- 1:00:52And then the 5th ring, I mean, this one, this is the one with
- 1:00:54the most possibilities, obviously, because it's all
- 1:00:56uncharted space. Not, you know, not necessarily
- 1:00:59that populous and that sort of thing.
- 1:01:03But. As I said, my worry is the line
- 1:01:05will get sucked into staying in the 5th ring too long.
- 1:01:08It's, you know, it's, it's not, it's not a Mandalorian set up.
- 1:01:14It's that, you know, it's not just about the Outer Rim and all
- 1:01:16that sort of stuff. It's you want to pull it back
- 1:01:18to, you know, excuse all the Star Wars references, but pull
- 1:01:22it back to chorus and and have all that sort of thing going on.
- 1:01:24So, but yeah, you know, you could do.
- 1:01:27Let's not focus on the negative here, like let's, let's trust
- 1:01:30them that they're going to do the right thing.
- 1:01:32Oh, absolutely. I need an 800% day, 100%.
- 1:01:35Did they? They've not, you know, done us
- 1:01:36wrong so far. But it gives you this.
- 1:01:39This ring, I think, in particular gives you scope for
- 1:01:41lots of smaller factions and smaller waves.
- 1:01:44So you could have like a criminal gang with, you know,
- 1:01:46four or five figures if you wanted to fit a smaller wave in
- 1:01:49somewhere. You could have a few bounty
- 1:01:50hunters, you could have pirates which Mal would pass out with
- 1:01:54excitement over. Very cool bounty hunters as
- 1:01:57well. And anyone who's a little bit
- 1:01:59rogue, you know, he's, he's very cool in my book.
- 1:02:01Novian Lean. He's our brother, fans.
- 1:02:04Yeah, yes. No, my, my cosmic customs have
- 1:02:07already got a lot of bounty hunters in.
- 1:02:10I still I still smile with such happiness that your was What was
- 1:02:16the name of your crew? The the I've listened to this
- 1:02:21three or four times Edit and it's.
- 1:02:22Something of doom. Oh, it was the Templars of Dooms
- 1:02:25one, but there's the scumbags of the galaxies.
- 1:02:27Scumbags of the Galaxy, that was it.
- 1:02:29Yeah, Yeah. This made me smile every time I
- 1:02:31heard it. Brilliant.
- 1:02:37Yeah. So that was that was my take on
- 1:02:38the rings, really just what I think of them.
- 1:02:41I think that's good. I think that's.
- 1:02:42Good. I think that that really fleshes
- 1:02:46them out more in terms of of a kind of an overview and also in
- 1:02:53terms of maybe potential that they could have and why they're
- 1:02:58actually structured the way they are.
- 1:03:19None.
