- 0:09Speaker 1: Welcome into an off season edition of Inside the Charge.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I'm Maddi Glab and I'm so pumped to be joined
- 0:14Speaker 1: by new cornerback d Alfred d.
- 0:16Speaker 2: How you doing today.
- 0:17Speaker 3: I'm doing great. I'm doing great, you know, thankful to
- 0:19Speaker 3: be here too.
- 0:20Speaker 2: So yeah, we're happy that you're here.
- 0:21Speaker 1: You're in the building for off season workouts, which started
- 0:25Speaker 1: about two weeks ago. At this point, what have you
- 0:28Speaker 1: learned most about this new team in this new environment
- 0:31Speaker 1: you're in since being back.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Man, I learned so much just been here, you know,
- 0:35Speaker 3: in the short period of time. Man, it's just just
- 0:38Speaker 3: just how everyone from top down just load to work,
- 0:40Speaker 3: you know, load the craft and the grind. And I
- 0:42Speaker 3: feel like that's the type of person I am. So
- 0:44Speaker 3: I fit right in with the guys, you know, the
- 0:45Speaker 3: coaches and stuff like that. And it's been pretty fun
- 0:47Speaker 3: so far.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Being pretty fun and loving that the environment is. We're
- 0:51Speaker 1: gonna get to work and we're gonna get better in
- 0:53Speaker 1: these next few months as we lead up to OTAs
- 0:56Speaker 1: and things like that. You walk in this fieldhouse during workouts,
- 0:59Speaker 1: it's loud. Guys are screaming at each other in encouragement.
- 1:04Speaker 1: What type of groundwork is being laid right.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Now, you know, right now, man, it's just kind of
- 1:09Speaker 3: like the foundation. You know, hard works, you know, beat
- 1:11Speaker 3: talent when talent doesn't work hard. And that's something I
- 1:14Speaker 3: always you know, live by, Like you said, just the energy.
- 1:17Speaker 3: You know, we feel like energy is contagious. So every
- 1:19Speaker 3: day were coming in here, we competing, you know, competing
- 1:22Speaker 3: against one another, you know, to make your teammate better.
- 1:25Speaker 3: And I think that's the main objective. And it been
- 1:27Speaker 3: you know, been showing pretty much, you know, the past
- 1:29Speaker 3: few weeks, and you know, just just always finding something
- 1:33Speaker 3: to prove. And you know that's the type of group
- 1:34Speaker 3: of guys we have here. Everyone want to get better,
- 1:36Speaker 3: you know, ultimately, you know, win the Super Bowl.
- 1:38Speaker 1: What type of character are you in these workouts when
- 1:41Speaker 1: you're cheering on your teammates.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I'm interjected, man, it's just like you able to see
- 1:46Speaker 3: your teammate, you know, reacher a personal goal you know
- 1:48Speaker 3: in the weight room, or you may be a sprint
- 1:51Speaker 3: the mileth power or stuff like that. And it just
- 1:53Speaker 3: it means so much to me that you know, I
- 1:55Speaker 3: can make caure us the next guy, you know, to
- 1:57Speaker 3: be better.
- 1:57Speaker 1: It seems like a lot of team building also happens
- 2:00Speaker 1: during these workouts on the field when you see the
- 2:03Speaker 1: entire defense huddled around one person cheering for them to
- 2:06Speaker 1: hit a pr How do you build those relationships through something.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Like working out?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Oh man, because I feel like just that grind, you know,
- 2:14Speaker 3: that feeling that that we get to feel for one
- 2:17Speaker 3: another in the weight room and out here on the field,
- 2:19Speaker 3: and you know also just off the field too. You know,
- 2:21Speaker 3: we got guys who kind of like lives around each other.
- 2:25Speaker 3: We know, link up, go bowling, different things like that,
- 2:28Speaker 3: just always you know, building that chemistry and it goes
- 2:31Speaker 3: along ways and it shows you know why the Buffalo
- 2:33Speaker 3: bill wins so much here and it you know, stuff
- 2:36Speaker 3: like that carry on to you know, Sunday nights, so
- 2:38Speaker 3: going bowling?
- 2:40Speaker 2: Who's going bowling? And who's who's one two three In
- 2:43Speaker 2: terms of the best.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I'm not going to say one two three, but so
- 2:46Speaker 3: far right now, Nicole Harky maybe like the best bowl
- 2:49Speaker 3: out I've seen.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I've heard.
- 2:51Speaker 3: It's crazy. He gets like two sixty five, Like it's crazy,
- 2:54Speaker 3: that's not the perfect game is like three hundred. He's close.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So that's like he's like a football player by day
- 3:00Speaker 1: and a bowler by night.
- 3:01Speaker 3: He's a bowler.
- 3:02Speaker 2: What number are you hitting on a good day?
- 3:05Speaker 3: I'm kind of like average. I'm kind of like just
- 3:07Speaker 3: going for the fun, you know from the karate, you know,
- 3:10Speaker 3: things like that. I'm not actually I'm not going to
- 3:13Speaker 3: say I'm good, but I'm trying to get better.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You're there for the ViBe's great being a new player
- 3:18Speaker 1: on defense. Who are some of the players that you're
- 3:20Speaker 1: already vibing with?
- 3:21Speaker 3: I mean when I first got here, obviously you know CJ. Chancy,
- 3:25Speaker 3: he knew too, But you know, we got guys like
- 3:27Speaker 3: I call him TV. You know Binar, he is a
- 3:29Speaker 3: great leader. And the secondary is crazy because I think
- 3:33Speaker 3: I'm the oldest, so they look up to me to lead,
- 3:35Speaker 3: and you know, I feel like, you know, that's the
- 3:37Speaker 3: role I've been ready for in my whole career. So
- 3:39Speaker 3: it's just like a group that I was able to
- 3:41Speaker 3: come in and fit right in. Man, we all got,
- 3:42Speaker 3: you know, similar mindsets. We just want to, you know,
- 3:45Speaker 3: find ways to get better and just help each other
- 3:47Speaker 3: grow as a person, you know, on and off the field.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You saying that you're the oldest in a position group
- 3:52Speaker 1: probably is a huge accomplishment. For you because digging into
- 3:56Speaker 1: your story, D, you're somebody who was a walk on
- 3:59Speaker 1: at a D two sco. You go undrafted, you plan
- 4:02Speaker 1: the CFL. Now you're on your second contract. What did
- 4:06Speaker 1: a walk on D do that allowed him to now
- 4:09Speaker 1: be in his fifth NFL season?
- 4:11Speaker 3: That's crazy, you know when you say all that type
- 4:13Speaker 3: of stuff, I get tills, man, because it takes a
- 4:16Speaker 3: lot of hard work. You know, a lot of dedication.
- 4:19Speaker 3: You know a lot of hours you got to put
- 4:20Speaker 3: into your craft and you know, sacrifices, different things like that.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You know, you just gotta ultimately just stay focused and
- 4:28Speaker 3: you know, continue to chase your goals. It's a blessing
- 4:32Speaker 3: to you know, to be here in this situation. Like
- 4:33Speaker 3: you said, I was able to, you know, to get
- 4:35Speaker 3: that second contract. You know, you know in this business,
- 4:38Speaker 3: you know the profession. You know that we play a
- 4:40Speaker 3: lot of guys don't make it to that second contract.
- 4:42Speaker 3: So it's you know, it's just a blessing to be
- 4:44Speaker 3: able to say that I'm here and you know, I'm
- 4:46Speaker 3: not done. I'm not finished. I want to continue to
- 4:47Speaker 3: grow and get better as a player and as a person.
- 4:49Speaker 2: So continuing to chase your goals.
- 4:52Speaker 1: What was that goal when you were a D two
- 4:55Speaker 1: player at Tusclum thinking I just want to make it
- 4:59Speaker 1: onto the roster here and I want to be an
- 5:01Speaker 1: impact player. What else were those goals that that young I.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Mean, like you said starting off, I feel like your
- 5:07Speaker 3: goals can you know, can always change. You know, at first,
- 5:10Speaker 3: my goal is to make it to the NFL. You know,
- 5:12Speaker 3: once I got to the NFL, Now my goal is
- 5:15Speaker 3: I got to continue to make the fitted three man roster.
- 5:17Speaker 3: And I started noticing, you know, every year I approached
- 5:20Speaker 3: you know, the season with that same mindset to make
- 5:22Speaker 3: the team, and I kept making the team, kept making
- 5:24Speaker 3: the team. But now I got like, you know, goals
- 5:26Speaker 3: as not just saying individual goals, but just as far
- 5:29Speaker 3: as like I want to be all pro, I want
- 5:31Speaker 3: to be a pro bowler, but I want to be
- 5:32Speaker 3: a Super Bowl champion. I want things like that. So, uh,
- 5:35Speaker 3: those are my new goals. And I feel like, you know,
- 5:37Speaker 3: just being here with the Buffalo Bills, you know, I
- 5:39Speaker 3: feel like this is the best situation of being to
- 5:41Speaker 3: help me reach my individual goals. You know, we all
- 5:44Speaker 3: notice a team sport, and you know that why I'm
- 5:46Speaker 3: here because I'm a team player. You know, it shows
- 5:48Speaker 3: on and off the field the type of person I am.
- 5:50Speaker 3: But you know, individually, I feel like, you know, this
- 5:52Speaker 3: is going to be a big year for me. You know,
- 5:53Speaker 3: I'm blessed to be here and I'm ready to just
- 5:55Speaker 3: show everybody what you know, what I'm what I'm capable of.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So I love this enthusiasm. It be fired up. You
- 6:01Speaker 1: had a career high three interceptions last year. You say,
- 6:03Speaker 1: Buffalo Is that right fit for you to take that
- 6:06Speaker 1: next step? What is that next step for d Alford?
- 6:09Speaker 3: For me, I'm not gonna try to get ahead of
- 6:11Speaker 3: myself because you know, you know, it's NFL. You know,
- 6:14Speaker 3: you got to take it day by day. But for me,
- 6:16Speaker 3: like I said earlier, I want to, you know, get
- 6:18Speaker 3: some accolades for myself, you know, try to solidify you know,
- 6:21Speaker 3: who I am as a player and know all that
- 6:23Speaker 3: hard work that I put into you know, finally, you know,
- 6:26Speaker 3: just pays off. So that's when I met. Like you said,
- 6:29Speaker 3: I had three in the SELSS, I dropped a few,
- 6:31Speaker 3: you know, so it's like I got a gold. I
- 6:33Speaker 3: want to try to at least get minimum of three.
- 6:36Speaker 3: You know, you know, we all set out goals for ourselves.
- 6:39Speaker 3: You know, sometimes you can reach them, sometimes you don't.
- 6:41Speaker 3: But you know, I got a lot of goals that
- 6:42Speaker 3: I'm chasing.
- 6:43Speaker 1: One thing that you're going to take on here, since
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're an older player in the secondary room, is being
- 6:48Speaker 1: a leader. How have you learned some of those leadership
- 6:52Speaker 1: skills that you plan to use here over the last
- 6:54Speaker 1: few years.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Just just by having you know, a great group of
- 6:57Speaker 3: guys just coming into the lead. I want to say
- 6:59Speaker 3: my rookie year had guys like Casey Hayward, you know
- 7:01Speaker 3: he was retired now, Antonio Hamilton who played in the
- 7:05Speaker 3: lead nine ten years. You know, guys who's just been
- 7:08Speaker 3: around and they was able to you know, pass down
- 7:10Speaker 3: there knowledge to me. And that what I want to
- 7:12Speaker 3: do for these guys here. You know, I know him
- 7:14Speaker 3: the oldest or whatnot, but it's like I just want to,
- 7:17Speaker 3: you know, lead by example. So if that's coming in early,
- 7:20Speaker 3: watching more film, helping the guys when I see what
- 7:23Speaker 3: they need help things like that. You know, that's the
- 7:25Speaker 3: type of person I am.
- 7:27Speaker 1: The Blue looks really good on you as a Buffalo Bill.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I love that you're you're enthusiastic about this new pit
- 7:32Speaker 1: stop for you, and hopefully it's not just a pit stop.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Hopefully it's you know, years that you're in Buffalo, you
- 7:38Speaker 1: also are going to be playing for a new head
- 7:40Speaker 1: coach and Joe Brady. So you come in as a
- 7:43Speaker 1: new player, but there's also a lot of new newness
- 7:45Speaker 1: around this building. What are you learning about Joe Brady's
- 7:48Speaker 1: expectations for this team?
- 7:51Speaker 3: First of all, Joe Brady is a great guy. He's
- 7:53Speaker 3: a great guy. Man. I like the way that he leads,
- 7:56Speaker 3: you know, just starting off team meetings, the things he say,
- 8:00Speaker 3: how he lead by example of you know, coaches like that.
- 8:03Speaker 3: You know, you want to run through a wall for
- 8:04Speaker 3: guys like that man. And you know, I feel like
- 8:06Speaker 3: his ultimate goal is to bring a super Bowl here. Yeah,
- 8:09Speaker 3: you know, and that's every person in his building, from
- 8:12Speaker 3: top to bottom. Man, that's the ultimate goal is to win.
- 8:14Speaker 3: And I feel like, you know, Joe Brady, he brings
- 8:16Speaker 3: that every day into the building, that energy every day,
- 8:19Speaker 3: and it, you know, energy is contagious and it kind
- 8:21Speaker 3: of like passed off to us, you know, as players.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Feeling Joe Brady's energy and juice. We know he has
- 8:26Speaker 1: some sayings already. Is there one that you feel like
- 8:30Speaker 1: really speaks to you.
- 8:32Speaker 3: You know, he goes by, you know, put the ball down.
- 8:35Speaker 3: I feel like that speaks to me too, because at
- 8:36Speaker 3: the end of the day, you know, you just got
- 8:38Speaker 3: to put the ball down and play no matter who
- 8:40Speaker 3: your opponent is. And you know, as the Buffalo Bills,
- 8:42Speaker 3: we that's oll thing. You know, put the ball down.
- 8:44Speaker 3: You got to play against us, you know, and you
- 8:47Speaker 3: know that's the mindset and that's how we approach every day.
- 8:49Speaker 2: So I feel like that's your story too.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Like you you could say, put the ball down at
- 8:54Speaker 1: any point in your career, and you've done so, no
- 8:56Speaker 1: matter the situation, no matter the card you've been dealt,
- 8:59Speaker 1: You've been.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Able to put the put the.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Ball down and do your best with with what you
- 9:04Speaker 1: have in front of you. In terms of some of
- 9:08Speaker 1: the stops that you've had leading up to the Buffalo Bills.
- 9:11Speaker 1: You played in the CFL, You played for the Winnipeg
- 9:13Speaker 1: Blue Bombers, won a great Cup with them, which was amazing,
- 9:17Speaker 1: cold place cold.
- 9:18Speaker 2: How did you get Mississippi guy?
- 9:22Speaker 3: Yeah, So it's crazy because I was a lot of
- 9:24Speaker 3: people don't know I from Mississippi actually, because I was
- 9:26Speaker 3: born in Mississippi. But I was raised up in a
- 9:28Speaker 3: small town like thirty Men's below Atlanta, Griffin, Georgia, So
- 9:32Speaker 3: I claim, you know Georgia. So I tell people when
- 9:35Speaker 3: they ask him, I'm from I'm from Griffin. But my
- 9:37Speaker 3: birth certificate, Dad say, you know her Nando, Mississippi.
- 9:40Speaker 2: So how did you get used to that? Uh? That
- 9:42Speaker 2: that Canadian cold weather?
- 9:45Speaker 3: I think I think it's all mental. I think it's
- 9:47Speaker 3: all mental. Like going into the CFL, I had one
- 9:49Speaker 3: ultimate goal, and that's to find my way back here
- 9:51Speaker 3: to you know, the National Football League. So I went
- 9:54Speaker 3: up there with the mindset to do what I had
- 9:55Speaker 3: to do. You know, no matter if it's cold, hot, windy,
- 10:00Speaker 3: like you said, put the ball down. I'm ready to play,
- 10:02Speaker 3: no matter, you know, any type of weather conditioning.
- 10:04Speaker 1: So being in the CFL with a dream of I'm
- 10:07Speaker 1: gonna make it back to the NFL.
- 10:09Speaker 2: That's my goal.
- 10:10Speaker 1: What did you do every single day to make sure
- 10:14Speaker 1: that actually happened for you?
- 10:16Speaker 3: I feel like I just found ways to you know
- 10:19Speaker 3: better myself. We call it again, one percent better every
- 10:22Speaker 3: single day, chasing greatness. So, like I said, I had
- 10:26Speaker 3: guys in the CFL too. Actually, you know, the Winnipeg
- 10:29Speaker 3: actually won the Great Cup right before I got there,
- 10:31Speaker 3: so they already have to win in mind set. So
- 10:34Speaker 3: I was able to fit right in, you know, and
- 10:36Speaker 3: you know, bring show what I bring to the table
- 10:38Speaker 3: and things like that. And you know, I was able
- 10:40Speaker 3: to get Great Cup, Rick of the Year, CFL All Star,
- 10:44Speaker 3: a lot of those individual accolades. I was able, you
- 10:46Speaker 3: know to get with the Winnipair of Blue numbers. But
- 10:49Speaker 3: just being on a team like that, it's kind of
- 10:50Speaker 3: got me ready for it, you know, anything that I
- 10:52Speaker 3: got to come, you know forward to.
- 10:54Speaker 1: So you have that talent, you have that work ethic.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Was there anything you did mentally to really set yourself
- 11:00Speaker 1: up for a life in the NFL.
- 11:03Speaker 3: I wouldn't say at that time, I wouldn't say I
- 11:06Speaker 3: didn't do anything mentally, but I feel like when I
- 11:09Speaker 3: got into the National Football League though, when I started,
- 11:12Speaker 3: you know, realizing that, you know, the game of football
- 11:14Speaker 3: is more mentally more than physical physically, So I was
- 11:17Speaker 3: able to you know, get my football IQ higher, you know,
- 11:21Speaker 3: if watching film, you know, studying guys who played before me,
- 11:26Speaker 3: different things like that, and that kind of allowed me
- 11:28Speaker 3: to like shape my game and things I needed to
- 11:30Speaker 3: do own and off the field to you know, better
- 11:32Speaker 3: myself and my craft.
- 11:33Speaker 1: When it comes to your second contract that you're currently
- 11:36Speaker 1: in in Buffalo and all the work you did to
- 11:38Speaker 1: get there and the mental side of the game, how
- 11:41Speaker 1: do you continue to remind yourself like, I'm in this
- 11:45Speaker 1: moment because I worked my way to get in it
- 11:47Speaker 1: and not get into the imposter syndrome of maybe I
- 11:51Speaker 1: don't fit in here.
- 11:53Speaker 3: For me personally, I still kind of like haven't really
- 11:57Speaker 3: been like been in that moment of you know, the
- 12:00Speaker 3: new contract that I receive, because I always had the
- 12:03Speaker 3: mindset that I'm an underdog, so I always feel like
- 12:06Speaker 3: I got a point to prove. I always feel like
- 12:07Speaker 3: I got a tip on my shoulder, no matter you
- 12:09Speaker 3: know how much money I got or what I'm getting.
- 12:12Speaker 3: So it's just like this is how I approach my day.
- 12:14Speaker 3: That's the type of person I am. I always feel
- 12:16Speaker 3: like I'm undervalue, underlook So just coming into a building
- 12:21Speaker 3: like this, I'm just rid of, you know, to show
- 12:23Speaker 3: you know why Buffalo brought me here and what they
- 12:25Speaker 3: gave me. So, like I said, it's just the type
- 12:27Speaker 3: of person I am. Man, I'm just ready to work
- 12:29Speaker 3: I'm fired up and I'm very excited.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I love it.
- 12:31Speaker 1: You wake up hungry every day to work as hard
- 12:34Speaker 1: as you can to like get what you deserve. And
- 12:37Speaker 1: that's such a cool mindset to have, rather than somebody
- 12:41Speaker 1: who is maybe a star player and kind of just
- 12:43Speaker 1: walked into the situation. They are because they've been gifted
- 12:46Speaker 1: or blessed with with the physical traits that they have.
- 12:49Speaker 3: True, And it's crazy because I still have people like
- 12:52Speaker 3: just tell me I'm just dis great of a player this, that.
- 12:55Speaker 3: But it's just like you know, when you tell yourself
- 12:58Speaker 3: you want to be great and you're chasing greatness, it's
- 13:00Speaker 3: like you never reach that level. So every day you
- 13:03Speaker 3: just gotta find ways to continue to get better, to
- 13:06Speaker 3: continue to grow, you know, because I feel like there's
- 13:08Speaker 3: just a game of football's gonna continue to you know,
- 13:10Speaker 3: to get better, athlete's gonna continue to get faster, you know, bigger,
- 13:13Speaker 3: different things like that. So you never could be complacent
- 13:15Speaker 3: in his lead. And like I said, this is the
- 13:17Speaker 3: type of person I am. I never be complacent. I'm
- 13:20Speaker 3: always trying to find ways to get better, better the
- 13:22Speaker 3: person next to me, because like if you better your teammate,
- 13:25Speaker 3: you know you better as a team collectively. So them
- 13:28Speaker 3: things like that pays off. O.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Wait, we know d is a hard worker. We know
- 13:33Speaker 1: he's earned everything he's gotten. We know you have a
- 13:36Speaker 1: crazy story that got you into the NFL.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Who are you off the field, I'm pretty much the
- 13:41Speaker 3: same guy. I'm kind of chill, you know. Once I'm
- 13:43Speaker 3: off the field, I'm chill. I'm not really like an
- 13:47Speaker 3: outgoing person. I'm kind of like a house guy. I
- 13:50Speaker 3: have four dogs, you know, I just go home play
- 13:54Speaker 3: with my dogs. I love video games, different things like that.
- 13:57Speaker 3: I like music. I listen to music all the time.
- 14:00Speaker 3: But yeah, it's just off the field untill I like
- 14:03Speaker 3: to do things with my teammates. You know, I mentioned
- 14:05Speaker 3: bowling earlier, So different things like that with dinners and
- 14:08Speaker 3: just being around the guys and you know, just trying
- 14:11Speaker 3: to build that bun and you know, get closer to
- 14:13Speaker 3: your teammates. That's the type of person I am. And
- 14:15Speaker 3: like I said, I'm not an outgoing person. I'm kind
- 14:18Speaker 3: of boring. I'm kind of boring.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Man, I'm not getting those es.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I'm kind of boring. You know. I'm one of them guys.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Just tell people to know, come to the house, come
- 14:26Speaker 3: to the crib, can play the game and do this,
- 14:28Speaker 3: and you know and that. So I'm real chill guy.
- 14:30Speaker 1: That's honestly how so many players seem here. It's it's
- 14:33Speaker 1: the environment of, like, come chill at the house, because
- 14:37Speaker 1: it's not like you're in New York City.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Here, it's the.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Family environment of we all live around each other and
- 14:43Speaker 1: we all have some great homes. So so come and
- 14:46Speaker 1: chill and let's get to know each other. Four dogs,
- 14:49Speaker 1: What type of dogs? And what are their names?
- 14:51Speaker 3: So? I have two American bullies. I have a girl
- 14:54Speaker 3: daughter name is Prada. I have a boy. Dog's name
- 14:57Speaker 3: is g you know, because they call me d so
- 14:59Speaker 3: I call my dog he he's real bigtl bully. And
- 15:03Speaker 3: then I have two sizzles. I have a one ship
- 15:05Speaker 3: old lady. Her name is Chloy. And then't like the puppy,
- 15:08Speaker 3: the youngest. His name is King. I call him King
- 15:11Speaker 3: because he thinks he, you know, run everything. He thinks
- 15:13Speaker 3: he's the American bully. So he the smallest out of
- 15:16Speaker 3: the bunch.
- 15:17Speaker 1: How did you decide to go with like an American
- 15:19Speaker 1: bully to shit to What was the thought process there?
- 15:22Speaker 3: I really don't know. Man, I really just don't know,
- 15:24Speaker 3: to be honest, but I feel like, you know, just
- 15:27Speaker 3: dolls in general. I kind of view dolls as like
- 15:29Speaker 3: my kids. So I love my dogs. You know, they
- 15:32Speaker 3: be with me all the time. They're not hearing Buffalo yet,
- 15:35Speaker 3: but you know, once I get everything situated, they'll be
- 15:37Speaker 3: around with me.
- 15:38Speaker 1: We're gonna need their thoughts on what they think about
- 15:40Speaker 1: they get here.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Are we going to add to the number or are
- 15:44Speaker 2: you like.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Four trying to see? I'm trying to see. I'm trying
- 15:46Speaker 3: to see because I kind of like want a Frenchy
- 15:49Speaker 3: bull dog, so I'm trying to see. But you know,
- 15:52Speaker 3: my dogs getting kind of older, stuff like that. So
- 15:54Speaker 3: I really don't want to start over because the puppy stages,
- 15:57Speaker 3: it's a lot.
- 15:58Speaker 2: It's crazy, and for an NFL like you gotta deal
- 16:01Speaker 2: with a lot.
- 16:01Speaker 3: It's a lot.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Before we go, the NFL Draft is right around the corner.
- 16:07Speaker 1: What is one piece of advice you have to rookies
- 16:10Speaker 1: who want their name to be called and are hoping
- 16:13Speaker 1: to hear their name called in the first seven rounds.
- 16:16Speaker 2: But might not.
- 16:18Speaker 3: My advice to those type of guys, you know, just
- 16:20Speaker 3: keep your head down and work. You know, your phone
- 16:22Speaker 3: going to ring eventually, you know, whereas that's you know,
- 16:25Speaker 3: a future, a future contract or undrafted you know contract,
- 16:28Speaker 3: different things like that, because I feel like the National
- 16:30Speaker 3: Football League does a great job with finding talent. So
- 16:33Speaker 3: if you talented and you know you you would be
- 16:35Speaker 3: a part of this, you know, just one percent. So
- 16:37Speaker 3: my biggest advice is just keep your head down, just
- 16:39Speaker 3: keep working, keep training, find ways you know to to
- 16:44Speaker 3: to better your craft. Also, you know, understand why you
- 16:48Speaker 3: didn't get drafted, and you know, approach that to you,
- 16:51Speaker 3: to your workouts and different things like that. Man, And
- 16:53Speaker 3: I'm a I'm a firm believer. You know, you just
- 16:55Speaker 3: put everything in guy's hand and everything will fall in place.
- 16:58Speaker 1: You're here to say it does matter if you don't
- 17:00Speaker 1: get drafted. I'm sitting here on my second contract and
- 17:04Speaker 1: I'm working hard.
- 17:05Speaker 3: It's a blessing. It's a blessing.
- 17:06Speaker 2: That's amazing. D Welcome to Buffalo. We're so happy to
- 17:10Speaker 2: have you here.
- 17:10Speaker 1: And I feel like fans listening to this are gonna
- 17:13Speaker 1: be like, wow, I know who to cheer for on.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Day one for sure, And I'm fired up man. Like
- 17:17Speaker 3: I said, it's a blessing to be here in Buffalo. Well,
- 17:19Speaker 3: we're so.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Happy we're here and we can't wait to see you
- 17:22Speaker 1: come come season time and come training camp for sure.
- 17:25Speaker 3: No, thank you, thank you, thanks, no problem.
