- 0:46He loves bananas because they are sweet and tasty. Plus,
- 0:50bananas are easy to peel. Pete can use his pouls
- 0:53to pill a banana all by himself. Good job, Pete.
- 0:58Pete also loves bananas because they are healthy. They give
- 1:01him lots of energy to do fun things like running
- 1:04races and play games. In the morning, Pete adds a
- 1:07banana to his cereal bananas tastes great with kitty puffs
- 1:11and milk. Yum. Now Pete is ready for a great day.
- 1:16But one day Pete eats a bad banana. The banana
- 1:19is gross. The banana is mushy, the banana is yucky.
- 1:24Pete's Tommy hurts, I will not eat bananas again, Pete
- 1:29tells his mom. Pete's mom tries to help. She bakes
- 1:34Pete's favorite banana bread. It is warm and fluffy, but
- 1:37Pete will not touch it. What if it's JUCKI like
- 1:40the bad banana, asks Pete. Pete's mom keeps trying. She
- 1:45makes peta banana cream pie. Pete will not eat it.
- 1:48She makes Pete a big banana split. No thanks, Pete says.
- 1:54Pete is still hungry for a snack. Pete tries a lemon.
- 1:57It is yellow like a banana. Baby will taste good
- 2:01like a banana, says Pete. He tasted yuck, says Pete.
- 2:06The lemon is sour. Pete tries a pickle. It is
- 2:10long like a banana. Pete taste it better, Pete says,
- 2:14but not as good as a banana. Pete tries an orange.
- 2:19Pete can peel it all by himself, like a banana.
- 2:21Pete takes a bite. The orange is sweet, but it
- 2:24is too juicy. It makes Pete Paul sticky. Pete keeps
- 2:29trying to find a new favorite snack. Pete tries fish, rice, plumps,
- 2:34hot dogs, watermelon, and his mom's nut bread. Pete eats
- 2:38them all. He is not hungry for snacks anymore. Pete
- 2:42is very full. One morning, Pete is getting ready for
- 2:46a big race. He is going to need lots of
- 2:49energy if he is going to win. He usually has
- 2:52a banana for breakfast before a big day, but not today.
- 2:56Pete wonders what he should eat instead. A pickle, No,
- 3:00Pete doesn't eat pickles for breakfast. A hot dog, No,
- 3:04Pete just had a hot dog for dinner last night.
- 3:07A lemon, No, that's just silly. Pete sees his friend
- 3:12Greg the Monkey eating a banana. That's all Pete wants.
- 3:15Bananas are yummy and healthy. Bananas are the best. Pete
- 3:20decides to give bananas another try. Do you have another banana?
- 3:24Pete asks? Of course, says Greg the Monkey. Pete is
- 3:30nervous to heat the banana. He peels it slowly and
- 3:32looks at it closely. It is not brown, it is
- 3:36not mushee. Pete takes a teeny tiny bite. It is
- 3:41a yummy banana. It is the best banana ever. Now
- 3:45Pete has lots of energy to run and run. Just
- 3:48as they approach the finish line, he runs just a
- 3:51little bit faster. Pete wins the race. Everyone cheers. Thanks
- 3:56for the banana, says Pete. Thanks for a great says Greg.
- 4:02Bananas are Pete's favorite food to eat again, he is
- 4:06absolutely bananas for bananas. Pepe the Cat go, Pete to go.
- 4:13It's a beautiful day, and Pete the Cat has decided
- 4:15to take his bike for a ride. Nothing makes Pete
- 4:18happier than filling the sun on his fur and the
- 4:21breeze on his face. Turtle drives up to Pete in
- 4:27a race car. Wow, says Pete. Cool race car, Thanks,
- 4:31says Turtle. I just got it. I want to see
- 4:34what it can do. Who wants to have a race?
- 4:38Not me, says grumpy Toad. My motorcycle is a flat tire.
- 4:42Not me, says Emma. My car is too old and slow.
- 4:46Not me, says Calli. My buzz is a work of art.
- 4:50It is not meant for racing all race, says Pete,
- 4:54knowing how much Turtle likes to race. But your bike
- 4:58has no motor, says Turtle. My race car is super quick.
- 5:02I win for sure, that's okay, says Pete. I just
- 5:05want to try my best and have fun. Everyone is
- 5:08excited for the big race. On your mark, Get set
- 5:13go CALLI shouts. Turtle. Steps on the gas pedal and
- 5:18room zooms away. Check this out, shouts Turtle. He presses
- 5:24a button and fins up here now Turtles race car
- 5:29goes even faster. Room. Pete waves goodbye and then petals off.
- 5:36Pete spike doesn't have fins, but it does have a basket.
- 5:39He stops and takes out a tasty red apple. Nothing
- 5:43is better than a tasty red apple on a beautiful day.
- 5:47Turtle sees that Pete is way behind. He spies a
- 5:50diner up ahead. Might as well grab a bite tea,
- 5:53Turtle says he as he pulls into a parking spot. Yum,
- 5:57says Turtle, eating a grilled cheese sandwich. He is in
- 6:00no rush. He is sure he will win the race. Dessert.
- 6:04The waitress asks, don't mind if I too, Turtle says.
- 6:08While Turtle finishes his lunch, Pete continues peddling. The sun
- 6:13is high and the breeze is blowing. It's a beautiful
- 6:16day for a race. Pete sees Turtle leaving the diner.
- 6:19Pete waves hello, but Turtle doesn't wave back. Turtle just
- 6:23jumps in his car and peels off. I guess he
- 6:26didn't see me. Pete shrugs, But Turtle did see Pete.
- 6:30He knows that Pete isn't going to give up easily,
- 6:33so Turtle presses a button and his tires inflate into
- 6:36mag wheels that let him swerve around the curves at
- 6:40top speed. Turtle sees that he has a huge lead.
- 6:46He knows he's going to win. He stops for a
- 6:48nice coat, glass of lemonade, and that's when he sees
- 6:51the hammock hanging between two trees. He's exhausted from racing
- 6:55so fast. He figures a quick nap will help him
- 6:58in the home stretch. Pete pettles past and sees Turtle sleeping.
- 7:02That's cool, Pete thinks, as he rides by as quietly
- 7:06as he can. Turtle must really be tired. I'm glad
- 7:10he's getting some rest. Grumpy Toad finds Turtle fast asleep.
- 7:15Wake up, Turtle, says, grumpy Toad. If you don't get
- 7:18back in the race, Pete is going to win. That's impossible,
- 7:22said Turtle, thinking it must be a joke. But it's
- 7:25no joke. Turtle presses a button and rocket boosters appear,
- 7:29making him go super duper fast room. But by the
- 7:34time Turtle nears the finish line, Pete has already won
- 7:38the race. How did you do that, Turtle ask, Slow
- 7:42and steady, says Pete. Maybe next time, instead of racing,
- 7:46we can ride together. Great idea, says Turtle. Now that
- 7:51Pete has won the race, it's his turn to drink
- 7:54lemonade in the hammock. What a great race, What a
- 7:57great day, Pete, says. Pete. The cat, Sir Pete, the Brave.
- 8:05Meet Sir Pete. He is the bravest and coolest knight
- 8:09in all the Cat Kingdom. He wears a suit of
- 8:11armor and a helmet. He even carries a swords. All
- 8:17day long, Sir Pete does lots of knightly things. He
- 8:21rides a horse and climbs towers. At dinner, Sir Pete
- 8:24listens to Lady Kelly play the harp. Lady Cally is awesome. Bravo,
- 8:30Sir Pete yells at the end of each song. He
- 8:33claps louder than anyone one night while Lady Kelly plays beautifully.
- 8:38Someone casts a spell and everyone falls asleep, even Sir Pete.
- 8:43When everyone wakes up, Lady Kelly is gone. Oh no,
- 8:47says Sir Pete, the brave I know what to do.
- 8:50I will find Lady Kelly and save her. So off,
- 8:54Sir Pete goes to save Lady Kelly. Yikes. Sir Pete
- 8:59falls into giant hoe. Who could have made such a
- 9:02huge hoe? The hoe is a dragon's footprint. Follow the footprints,
- 9:07Sir Pete says to his horse. The dragon must have
- 9:10taken Lady Cally the footprint stop, where did the dragon go?
- 9:16Sir Pete looks up and sees the dragon flying across
- 9:19the lake with Lady Kelly and her harp. Sir Pete
- 9:25can't fly. How will he get across the lake? He
- 9:28gets an idea he can row across the lake. He goes.
- 9:32Sir Pete gets to the other side of the lake.
- 9:35He spots a dragon cave. The dragon and the Lady
- 9:39Kelly must be inside the cave. He has to go inside,
- 9:42but it is very dark. Then he hears music. He
- 9:46must save Lady Kelly. He won't be scared. He is
- 9:50Sir Pete the brave. He follows the music, but it
- 9:53suddenly stops. He finds the harp, but know lady Cally.
- 9:57Where could she be? Sir Pete not give up. He
- 10:01sees a heel and decides the climate. From there, he
- 10:04can probably see Lady Kelly the top of the hill.
- 10:07He looks around for his friend. Then he hears a
- 10:10loud growl. Sir Pete is scared. The hill suddenly starts
- 10:14to move. What's happening? Oh no, this is not a heel.
- 10:19Sir Pete is on dragon's back. He did not find
- 10:22Lady Kelly, but he found the dragon. Sir Pete knows
- 10:26what to do. He slides down down down the dragon's
- 10:30back as quickly as possible, Hopefully the dragon does not
- 10:34eat Sir Pete. The dragon feels something ticklish on his
- 10:38back and sees Pete. The dragon lets out a mighty roar.
- 10:42Sir Pete is in trouble. Then out of nowhere, he
- 10:45hears a familiar voice. Sir Pete says, Lady Kelly, I
- 10:50will save you. Save me, says Sir Pete, But I
- 10:55came to save you. Sir Pete and Lady Kelly start
- 10:58to argue about who is saving. They stop fighting though
- 11:01when it starts to rain. But wait, there are no rainclouds.
- 11:05Inside a cave, Sir Pete and Lady Kelly look up
- 11:08and see the dragon crying. What's wrong, asked Lady Kelly.
- 11:13I just wanted to sing along. The dragon sobs. The
- 11:17people get scared when they see me because I am
- 11:20so huge and half sharp teeth. I did not want
- 11:23to scare anybody. Sir Pete and Lady Kelly feel bad
- 11:26for making The dragon said. I have an idea, says
- 11:31Sir Pete. Will you give us a ride? The dragon
- 11:35fly Sir Pete and Lady Cally home. Everyone is happy
- 11:38to see them. At first, they are scared of the dragon.
- 11:41He's our friend, said Lady Kelly. Everyone is no longer
- 11:46scared of the dragon. You don't need a great voice
- 11:49to make music, says Sir Pete, just good friends. The
- 11:54dragon smiles he can finally sing along. The dragon joins
- 11:58the song. Three cheer for Lady Cally and Sir Pete.
- 12:03The brave peach the cat rock on Mom and Dad.
- 12:07It's Monday morning. Pete. The cat wakes up, only to
- 12:10realize he is already running late for school. His alarm
- 12:14didn't go off. Oh no, this is definitely not how
- 12:17Pete wanted to start out the week. But Pete is
- 12:20not worried at all. He quickly gets dressed. He knows
- 12:23his parents are here for him. When he gets downstairs,
- 12:27Dad is already prepared breakfast. But are not skip breakfast.
- 12:30It's the most important meal of the day, says Dad.
- 12:34Pete shows down on cereal. Pete gets ready to leave
- 12:37the house. Aren't you missing something? Ask mom. Pete almost
- 12:41forgot his backpipe. Good thing, Mom had it all ready
- 12:45for him. He rushes out to catch his bus just
- 12:48in time. Pete is thankful to have his parents to
- 12:51help him this morning. Pete knows that mom and Dad
- 12:55do so much for him. After Pete gets home from school,
- 13:00Mom helps him practice baseball. Pete is getting better and
- 13:03better every day with her help. Dad takes him to
- 13:08his guitar lessons every week so Pete can practice what
- 13:11he loves. Pete's favorite hobby is playing the guitar. Every day,
- 13:15Mom and Dad do one hundred little things, and Pete
- 13:18realizes that he's never really said thank you. Today, Pete
- 13:24is going to surprise mom and dad with something totally awesome.
- 13:27Pete tries to think of the very best way to
- 13:30say thank you. He could make them dinner, except he
- 13:33knows he would probably make a big mess in the kitchen.
- 13:36Mom and Dad would end up helping him clean the
- 13:39kitchen instead. Not a good idea. He could put them
- 13:43a bouquet of flowers, except he is not sure what
- 13:46Mom and Dad's favorite flowers are. Pete thinks harder. He
- 13:51could clean the house. Mom and Dad would like that,
- 13:54but the last time he vacuumed, he broke a vace
- 13:56and almost broke a lamp. He could mow the lawn
- 13:59as long as he remembers not to mow the garden
- 14:01this time. Or he could change the oil in Dad's car,
- 14:05but he was not too sure how to do that.
- 14:08That all seems nice, but it doesn't seem like enough.
- 14:11Pete really wants to do something special that they'll never
- 14:15ever forget. He wants them to know how thankful he
- 14:18is to have them around. Pete ask his big brother
- 14:22Bob for some help. Bob is the smartest guy. He
- 14:25knows Bob will know what Pete should do. What can
- 14:29I do to tell Mom and Dad how much I
- 14:32love them? Pete asks, it doesn't matter what you do.
- 14:35Bob says, it's how you do it. So long as
- 14:37it's from the heart, Mom and Dad will totally dig it.
- 14:40That gives Pete an idea. He knows exactly what to
- 14:43do to show mom and Dad how grateful he is.
- 14:46There's one thing Pete can do better than any other
- 14:49cad he knows, rock out. So Pete sits down and
- 14:53writes Mom and Dad a song. Soon he's ready to
- 14:56perform the song, and it goes a little something like this, Mom, Dad,
- 15:00you are the best. I love you more than all
- 15:02the rest. Yeah, I do. I cannot count on the
- 15:06things you do. I know it's all because of you. Yes,
- 15:09it is that. I love music and I love art,
- 15:12and I love you with all my heart. Yes I do. Wow,
- 15:16that was awesome, says Dad. And very sweet. We were
- 15:20not expecting this at all, says mom. It's the best
- 15:24surprise ever. Pete the Cat's train trip. Pete the Cat
- 15:29cannot wait to visit his grandma with his mom and
- 15:32his brother Bob. They get to ride on a train.
- 15:36Make sure you don't lose your ticket, says Mom. She
- 15:38gives one ticket to Pete and one to Bob. Pete
- 15:42looks up at the big board. Our train is leaving
- 15:44at ten o'clock, he says. A train speeds by. That's
- 15:48not our train, that's a cargo train. Bob tells Pete.
- 15:52It's finally ten o'clock and the train arrives at the station.
- 15:55All aboard calls the conductor. Pete is so excited. He's
- 16:00the first one on the train. Pete's mom finds three
- 16:04seats together. I can't wait to see grandma, says Bob.
- 16:08I can't wait to explore the train, says Pete. The
- 16:11conductor comes to collect the tickets. Pete hands over his
- 16:16I love trains, says Pete. Really, I can show you
- 16:20around if you like, says the conductor. Pete nods his head.
- 16:24The conductor gives Pete an engineer's hat. Great, let me
- 16:28introduce you to the engineer, says the conductor. Pete follows
- 16:32the conductor from car to car as the floor rumbles
- 16:35under his feet. Wow, Pete says. When they get to
- 16:38the caboose, we're going over a bridge. Pete sees his
- 16:42mom and Bob. They are at the snack bar. I
- 16:45got this for you, says Bob. Pete follows the conductor.
- 16:49He goes to the front of the train. Come in,
- 16:51says the engineer. Wow, Pete says. The engineer shows him
- 16:56the engine and how everything works. The engineer shows Pete
- 16:59the trains breaks. Look, there's a tunnel up ahead. When
- 17:04they go through the tunnel, everything gets dark. Pete gets
- 17:06to honk the horn too. It's so much fun. Once
- 17:12they are out of the tunnel, everything is light again.
- 17:14They're almost a grandma's house. Pete better get back to
- 17:17Mom and Bob. Thanks for showing me around, Pete says.
- 17:21He learns so much about trains today. Anytime, have fun
- 17:25with your grandma, says the engineer. Pete walks back to
- 17:28his seat where Mom and Bob are. Is much longer
- 17:31walk than he remembered. He stops and meets new friends
- 17:34along the way. They live in different towns. They are
- 17:38getting off at different stops. What a groovy ride. There's
- 17:42Pete's seat. It's good to see mom again. Well, you're
- 17:46getting off the next stop, says mom. Pete is happy
- 17:49he made it back to a seat in time. He
- 17:51can't wait to see Grandma too. Pete looks out the
- 17:55window and sees Grandma. He waves at her from the window.
- 18:00Once the train door's open, Pete is the first one
- 18:02off the train. He rushes over to give Grandma a
- 18:05big hug. It feels good. How was the ride over,
- 18:08asked Grandma. It was groovy. I got a cool hat
- 18:12and met the engineer, says Pete. Pete loves riding the train.
- 18:16He even drew a picture of the train for Grandma.
- 18:19Grandma loves it. What a special day, Pete the cat
- 18:24scoop a cat. Pete the cat is excited. He is
- 18:28in a boat on a beautiful day, and he is
- 18:30about to go scuba diving. Pete puts on a mask
- 18:33and fence. He has a tank full of air so
- 18:36he can breathe underwater. He hopes to see lots of fish.
- 18:40If you're lucky, you might see a sea horse, says
- 18:42Captain Joe. A seahorse, says Pete. I can't wait. I've
- 18:47never seen one before. The ridges look like a horse's mane,
- 18:50said Captain Joe. Groovy, said Pete. Pete jumps into the water.
- 18:56He makes a big splash, down, down, down, He goes up, up, up,
- 19:01go the bubbles. Pete looks for a seahorse. He sees
- 19:05a swordfish. Instead, Pete swims out of his waist so
- 19:09it can pass. Pete waves to a Steamerate has a long,
- 19:13skinny tail. That's not a seahorse, thinks Pete. Pete feels
- 19:18a tickle on his leg. Pete sees a school of fish.
- 19:21They all look like except for a green one. It
- 19:24puffs up. It's a blowfish. It is not a sea horse.
- 19:28Where could one be. Pete looks at the rocks. He
- 19:32sees something long and purple on the sand. What is that?
- 19:35It's an octopus. It has eight legs. It's not a seahorse.
- 19:40Pete feels another tick as he swims. What could it be?
- 19:44Pete turns, but he doesn't see anything near him. He
- 19:47sees a cave. Is there a seahorse inside? Pete sees
- 19:52a crab with claws. A seahorse does not have claws.
- 19:56Pete thinks the cave gets darker as Pete swims forward.
- 20:00He is still looking for a sea horse, and he
- 20:03still feels a tickle on his leg. Then Pete goes.
- 20:06Then Pete sees an eel. It has ridges, but they
- 20:09don't look like a horse's mane. The eel is too
- 20:12long to be a sea horse. Pete keeps swimming further
- 20:16into the dark cave. Soon it's too dark to see.
- 20:20How will Pete get out? Pete sees a jellyfish. It
- 20:23glows in the dark. Now Pete can swim his way
- 20:26out of the cave. He sees a striped angelfish. It
- 20:30is beautiful, but it is not a seahorse. Pete swims
- 20:33out of the cave. I wonder why it is still
- 20:36so dark, thinks Pete. It's because Pete is in the
- 20:40shadow of a well. Yikes. Pete wishes he could jump
- 20:44on a sea horse and ride away. Pete hops on
- 20:48a sea turtle instead. It takes him back to the boat.
- 20:51Sea turtles can swim fast. I did not see a
- 20:54sea horse, thinks Pete. Oh well, I still had a
- 20:58great time. But what is tik my tail? Pete turns
- 21:02and sees a seahorse. What a great surprise, he thinks.
- 21:07Pete had felt the seahorse tickling his fur when he
- 21:09saw the swordfish, steam rate, blowfish, octopus, crab ill, jellyfish, angelfish. Well,
- 21:18and sea turtle. You were with me the whole time,
- 21:21thinks Pete. What a cool adventure. Pete the cat Valentine's
- 21:27Day is cool. It was the day before Valentine's Day
- 21:31and Pete was riding a skateboard home. On the way,
- 21:34he saw his friend Calli. She was holding a big
- 21:37heart that said love. Have you finished your valentine Day cards?
- 21:41Asked Cally, No, Valentine's Day is not cool, Pete said, oh, Pete,
- 21:47Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday. It's a day to
- 21:50tell people how special they are to you, Cally insisted.
- 21:54Pete skated on, but something in the back of his
- 21:57mind told him that Cally might be right. By the
- 22:00time Pete got home, he had decided that Cally was
- 22:02right about Valentine's Day, so he got out his pencils,
- 22:06paper crowns, and markers and sat down at the kitchen table. First,
- 22:11Pete started to work on a card for his friend Larry.
- 22:13Pete made several cards with red hearts, but he was
- 22:16not happy with his work. Pete wanted to make the
- 22:20perfect card for every cat in his class. I'll never
- 22:23get all these cards done in time, Pete told his mom.
- 22:26Pete's mom smiled. Just do your best, she said, Just
- 22:31tell Larry why he is cool. There's something cool about
- 22:34every cat. Pete got back to work, he thought hard
- 22:37about what was cool about Larry perfect, Pete said. After that,
- 22:42it didn't take Pete long to make cards for all
- 22:44the boys. Then Pete made special cards for all the
- 22:48girls and wrote love Pete on each one, and of
- 22:51course he made the biggest heart shaped card for his mom.
- 22:55The next day, Pete and Cally waited for the bus together.
- 22:58I decided you were right. Valence Tine Day is cool.
- 23:02That's awesome, Cally said, By the way, I am having
- 23:05a Valentine's Day party at my house after school, if
- 23:08you want to come. The bus pulled up then, and
- 23:11Pete and Kelly got on. Mister Ted the bus driver
- 23:14smiled and said good morning. But as soon as they
- 23:16were in their seats, Pete put his head in his paws.
- 23:20What's wrong, Cally asked, I forgot to make a card
- 23:24for mister Ted. He cried. Then Pete thought, but I
- 23:27can make him an awesome card before we get to school.
- 23:30Pete pulled out a piece of paper and cold pencils
- 23:33from his backpipe. He began to draw Happy Valentine's Day.
- 23:37Thanks for picking us up every day for school, Pete
- 23:41and Cally said as they handed mister Ted as Valentine.
- 23:45Thank you. Mister Ted told them you just made my day.
