- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kf I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am six forty.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Knows so. A statement from his family went on to say,
- 0:13Speaker 2: the magnitude.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Is passing is of epic proportions and beyond comprehension. I
- 0:18Speaker 3: don't know, I comprehend it. The guy died and epic proportions.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Okay, sure you don't think when you pass that it's
- 0:26Speaker 4: going to be the end of an error.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I know.
- 0:29Speaker 1: That's funny.
- 0:30Speaker 2: God, I wish I thought of that. That is very funny.
- 0:33Speaker 1: And now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen. Here's
- 0:38Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:40Speaker 5: And Ded.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Good morning everybody, Bill Handle Here.
- 0:43Speaker 3: It is a Tuesday morning Taco Tuesday, October twenty once
- 0:48Speaker 3: as we start the show.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I don't know why I'm so tired this morning.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I'm seriously thinking of just sleeping through the first hour
- 0:57Speaker 3: and then you guys handle it.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Oh boy, what would we ever do?
- 1:01Speaker 2: You'd handle it while I was sleeping.
- 1:04Speaker 1: That's I'm pretty tired too. I don't know.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Maybe you and I were connected. Last night I could
- 1:09Speaker 4: not sleep to save my life.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little rough.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Last night I took a pill and it wasn't my
- 1:17Speaker 3: normal ambient either.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It was something else. They just wipe me out. I
- 1:20Speaker 2: don't know what the hell it is. Man, did it work? Okay?
- 1:24Speaker 2: Let me say quick hello to one and all. Cono,
- 1:26Speaker 2: good morning, Good morning.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I slept great.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I was just about to ask you, how'd you sleep
- 1:32Speaker 2: last night? Con O? Wonderful?
- 1:34Speaker 3: There you go. Yeah, that was going to happen in life.
- 1:36Speaker 3: But thanks for thanks for coming in on that. Thank you, Neil, good.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Morning, Good morning, Willie Woolf.
- 1:42Speaker 2: There you o or there you go? Amy?
- 1:46Speaker 5: Hello?
- 1:47Speaker 2: How about them Jays? Huh?
- 1:49Speaker 5: You know, I'm fine with that. I was really hoping
- 1:52Speaker 5: the Mariners were going to get there, just because they
- 1:55Speaker 5: haven't been to the World Series ever, right.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but they are.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Weren't they part of the last expansion, which they haven't
- 2:04Speaker 3: had an expansion team? And you know, I don't know
- 2:06Speaker 3: forty years, fifty years? Allowed you when when did Baseball
- 2:08Speaker 3: last expanded? Last expand?
- 2:11Speaker 5: I think Mariners have always been there. Were they an
- 2:13Speaker 5: expansion team? Cono? They were?
- 2:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but the Nationals are an expansion team and that
- 2:17Speaker 4: was like early two thousands, so not forty years.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a long time.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Yeah, And the first time an expansion team went onto
- 2:28Speaker 3: the World Series was it went forever. Expansion teams just
- 2:32Speaker 3: don't do well because they're expansion teams.
- 2:36Speaker 2: God, I'm good at this, man, I gotta tell you,
- 2:37Speaker 2: I gotta do sports talk. All right, Well, good morning.
- 2:42Speaker 5: You and Fred Rogan can switch spots.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah we can.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Good morning, Bill, Good morning, and well, first of all,
- 2:51Speaker 3: helloay Ann, good morning and good morning. Okay, a little
- 2:55Speaker 3: sports trivia, all right? In a polo what's they call
- 3:00Speaker 3: one of the periods of polo? You know, there's four
- 3:04Speaker 3: of them. Uh, and they're not quarters, you know what
- 3:07Speaker 3: they're called? Mm hmm.
- 3:12Speaker 1: No one knows that we're talking about sports.
- 3:14Speaker 2: You're talking about a timeout board. It's chuckers, It's a chuck.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It's a chucker.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Chuck Yeah, woodchuck wo.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Okay, excellent. Actually yeah, I didn't know that. All right. Uh,
- 3:33Speaker 2: that's basically what's going on.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Uh.
- 3:35Speaker 2: You know what today is.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Not crazy newsday as it was every other day other
- 3:39Speaker 3: than the government shut down. The White House is uh
- 3:44Speaker 3: has exploded outward for that new ballroom.
- 3:48Speaker 2: A lot going on I saw, except there is it
- 3:51Speaker 2: A lot going on?
- 3:52Speaker 1: What I saw a headline that said.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Uh, something along the lines of Trump takes a bulldozer
- 3:58Speaker 4: to the White House.
- 4:00Speaker 1: No, a real bull doves there.
- 4:03Speaker 2: That's not bad.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I thought it was kind of funny. It was kind
- 4:06Speaker 1: of funny, all right, got clever, you know, yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I know you have to.
- 4:10Speaker 3: And today is Mike Dubuski is filling in today for Rich.
- 4:14Speaker 3: So we'll talk to Mike ABC reporter, a tech reporter,
- 4:17Speaker 3: and we've got that aws uh, you know, the explosion
- 4:23Speaker 3: in the uh the world of a WS. I first
- 4:25Speaker 3: of all, I had no idea, aws uh, the service,
- 4:29Speaker 3: I guess the cloud servicing.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Amazon Web Services.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, they're like the biggest in the world. No,
- 4:34Speaker 2: I knew that, uh until yesterday.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Oh, actually I knew that strangely enough, you know, mister tech,
- 4:41Speaker 3: mister tech here knew that.
- 4:42Speaker 2: All right, guys, let's do it. It's time for.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Handle on the News with Amy Neil and me lead story. Well,
- 4:51Speaker 3: LA Mayor Karen Vass and a bunch of congressional Democrats. Uh,
- 4:56Speaker 3: they have announced a sweeping investigation into the misconduct or
- 5:00Speaker 3: a llegied misconduct in the Trump Administration's immigration crackdown that
- 5:06Speaker 3: has 'staired citizens. The way it's being described by the
- 5:09Speaker 3: La Times, made use of racial profiling and terrified communities
- 5:13Speaker 3: for months.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah, well, here's the problem, guys.
- 5:16Speaker 3: First of all, the court system is giving the administration.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Much, much much leeway discussion.
- 5:24Speaker 3: The Appeals nine Circuit Court of Appeals Portland said, bottom line,
- 5:30Speaker 3: if the President says it's a rebellion, it's a rebellion.
- 5:34Speaker 3: If the President said that Portland is a city that
- 5:39Speaker 3: is open rebellion is part of an invading force, it's
- 5:43Speaker 3: an invading force. And if the President says that picking
- 5:48Speaker 3: up people with these immigration crackdowns is going against people
- 5:52Speaker 3: who are invading the United States, that's what it is.
- 5:57Speaker 2: This is going to go no place.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Unfortunately you don't.
- 6:00Speaker 4: So a local local government doesn't have the right to
- 6:04Speaker 4: protect their people. Let's say the percentage is too high
- 6:11Speaker 4: of citizens being thrown in with non citizens.
- 6:15Speaker 3: No, I think the court is going to say, well,
- 6:17Speaker 3: first of all, the investigation means nothing, because what if
- 6:20Speaker 3: the city determines, yes, you violated the law.
- 6:24Speaker 2: To the federal officials, what do they get it? What
- 6:26Speaker 2: a city going to do. We're gonna arrest you. If
- 6:27Speaker 2: you don't, we're going to find you.
- 6:29Speaker 3: We're going to have a court order against the federal
- 6:32Speaker 3: government from a city. No, So nothing's going to happen
- 6:35Speaker 3: about this. But the fun part I like this. Do
- 6:39Speaker 3: I believe there's aggressive immigration crack down? Of course there is,
- 6:42Speaker 3: has it in ISD there?
- 6:43Speaker 2: Citizens?
- 6:44Speaker 3: Yeah, except the citizens I have been arrested for the
- 6:48Speaker 3: most part for resisting the police or obstructing the police.
- 6:52Speaker 3: In terms of immigration, they per se weren't picked up.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I can't believe if someone else, I'm a citizen and
- 6:59Speaker 3: just sits there and puts his hands his or her
- 7:01Speaker 3: hands in the air, They're going to be arrested. I
- 7:03Speaker 3: do believe that most of these, if not all of them,
- 7:06Speaker 3: have been then getting involved in trying to stop immigration
- 7:09Speaker 3: from arresting friends, neighbors, people next to them. But Christinom
- 7:15Speaker 3: the Department of Homeland Security, Sucker Terry said, we are
- 7:18Speaker 3: only only going after the worst of the worst. And
- 7:23Speaker 3: what are the courts gonna say if they say they're
- 7:26Speaker 3: the worst of the worst, they're the worst of the worst.
- 7:29Speaker 3: For example, you see that group of nuns over there
- 7:31Speaker 3: that are praying they are the worst of the worst
- 7:34Speaker 3: and they are terrorists, and the court, yeah, and the court,
- 7:39Speaker 3: and I think the appeals court would say if the
- 7:42Speaker 3: government says that group of nuns that are on their
- 7:45Speaker 3: knees praying are terrorists and are open rebellion to the
- 7:48Speaker 3: United States. They are an open rebellion to the United
- 7:51Speaker 3: States and get picked up. That's the fear that I have.
- 7:55Speaker 3: You're going to have a congressional hearing and they're going
- 7:57Speaker 3: to rip into Yeah, please, They're going to rip in
- 8:00Speaker 3: to the government for doing what it does.
- 8:01Speaker 2: That's sort of a given.
- 8:03Speaker 3: But the immigration crackdown is happening in a big way,
- 8:06Speaker 3: and unfortunately, the way I view it, the courts are
- 8:09Speaker 3: going to be backing up the administration across the board.
- 8:14Speaker 2: That's a tough one. That's a tough one.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I think the takeaway here is if the government says
- 8:20Speaker 3: that the city of Portland is an open rebellion and
- 8:24Speaker 3: trying to overturn the United States, trying to stop the
- 8:29Speaker 3: United States or put in a new government, then that's
- 8:32Speaker 3: what's doing. And it doesn't matter. It can all be
- 8:34Speaker 3: everybody could be in Sunday school. That's the part that
- 8:37Speaker 3: scares me. I mean, obviously I'm being a touch hyperbolic here,
- 8:41Speaker 3: but the court is these courts are giving the presidency,
- 8:46Speaker 3: and it's not just Donald Trump, it's any president the
- 8:49Speaker 3: ability to say if I say it is so, it
- 8:52Speaker 3: is so, notwithstanding any facts.
- 8:56Speaker 2: That's what the other cuts what the court said. Also,
- 8:58Speaker 2: this is the next story.
- 8:59Speaker 3: By the way, the appeals court ruling, sorry about taking
- 9:02Speaker 3: this away from you, Amy, the National Guard in Portland
- 9:08Speaker 3: can go ahead. The president can nationalize the National Guard,
- 9:13Speaker 3: even though the lower court said there is no connection
- 9:16Speaker 3: between reality and what the president says is happening in Portland,
- 9:21Speaker 3: and the court said it doesn't matter.
- 9:25Speaker 2: If the President says it is so, it is. So.
- 9:28Speaker 2: That's the part that's scarier than hell. All right, Amy,
- 9:32Speaker 2: I took it away from you. Sorry, that's mail. You're up.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Oh, we're going to keep going. You got it?
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh no, let's see. Yeah, let's do one more.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Okay, US and Australia we're buddies, and you have a
- 9:46Speaker 4: critical minerals deal being signed at the White House yesterday.
- 9:51Speaker 4: So we're you know, looking for these these rare earth
- 9:55Speaker 4: resources right because of our issues with China and they're
- 9:59Speaker 4: imposing tougher rules on exporting it's you know, critical minerals abroad.
- 10:05Speaker 4: So we made an agreement, an eight point five billion
- 10:08Speaker 4: dollar deal between one of our allies there and Trump.
- 10:13Speaker 4: I'm not sure if he knows what they're for. But
- 10:15Speaker 4: he says, in about a year from now, we'll have
- 10:18Speaker 4: so much critical minerals and rare earth, you won't know
- 10:21Speaker 4: what to do with them. Okay, what do we do
- 10:25Speaker 4: with them?
- 10:26Speaker 2: What do you do with them? Well, they're used in
- 10:28Speaker 2: they're using everything.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Anti fashion electronics.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you bet magnets, which I had no idea magnets
- 10:35Speaker 3: were this important to everything.
- 10:37Speaker 5: And they are the Boys in Blue versus the Blue Jays.
- 10:41Speaker 5: The Dodgers are going to try to go back to
- 10:44Speaker 5: back with World Series wins when they take on the
- 10:46Speaker 5: Toronto Blue Jays. The series was set last night when
- 10:49Speaker 5: the Blue Jays beat Seattle four to three in Game
- 10:52Speaker 5: seven of the American League Championship Series.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Okay, I'm a little confused.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Yes, the Boys in Blue are going to be facing
- 10:59Speaker 3: the Boys in Blue.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, well there you.
- 11:03Speaker 5: GOP series starts on Friday, and I have to tell him,
- 11:06Speaker 5: very ticked because if it goes to game six, it's
- 11:08Speaker 5: gonna be on Halloween. Who planned that?
- 11:12Speaker 2: Oh, it's very someone did plan that, that's true.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Look at Amy ticked. It's interesting to see it.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Yet, Oh my god, So everybody, will there be a
- 11:25Speaker 3: Halloween night for example.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Uh, they're at the ball game.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Everybody dressed in a costume gets some bobblehead of somebody
- 11:32Speaker 3: or other.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe it's just the head. Oh, no body.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Hmmm. Aren't Dodger fans just always dressed as criminals? No,
- 11:44Speaker 2: they don't have to dress as criminals.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Wow, it is Halloween jokes. Why you're talking about your
- 11:50Speaker 1: people to Game six?
- 11:53Speaker 5: Would be in Toronto anyway?
- 11:55Speaker 2: Oh boy, you have game? Do you have tickets?
- 11:57Speaker 5: By the way, Amy, Nope, I have no World Series tickets.
- 12:01Speaker 2: They got a little pricey, don't they.
- 12:03Speaker 5: They do, they do. I haven't checked recently, but they had.
- 12:07Speaker 5: I did a story a couple of days ago, and
- 12:10Speaker 5: two seats to the Dugout club. Which are you gonna
- 12:13Speaker 5: the best seats? Sixty thousand dollars?
- 12:18Speaker 3: I have a question after a game, all right, you've
- 12:22Speaker 3: enjoyed the game, you had great time, you had great food,
- 12:24Speaker 3: and then you walk out and you're going to the
- 12:27Speaker 3: parking lot, and do you say to yourself, boy, that
- 12:30Speaker 3: was worth sixty thousand dollars the last couple of hours.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Huh?
- 12:33Speaker 5: I think if you're a grazillion are Yeah?
- 12:37Speaker 1: All right, what was going on fend that much money
- 12:39Speaker 1: on bill.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Pardon any tickets that you would go Simon and Garfunkel
- 12:43Speaker 4: getting together again.
- 12:45Speaker 3: No, Now, the most money I've ever spent for a
- 12:47Speaker 3: ticket ever?
- 12:47Speaker 2: Ever.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I spent two hundred and seventy five dollars once for
- 12:50Speaker 3: a Paul McCartney concert, and I would never.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Do that again.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Oh hey, tickets are starting at eight hundred and seven dollars.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but that's out in the parking lot. That's
- 12:58Speaker 3: watching it on a jumbo stree.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Who are we kidding?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Sitting in somewhere not including park, not including parking. Uh?
- 13:05Speaker 4: Okay, should Thailand all have an autism warning?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Well, this is the battle.
- 13:11Speaker 4: The Food and Drug Administration is being asked or urged
- 13:14Speaker 4: by ken View, the owners of Thailand all, to deny
- 13:20Speaker 4: a proposal to add further warnings. This would be more
- 13:23Speaker 4: and more additional warnings to the acid of minifin products,
- 13:29Speaker 4: because the Trump administration linked Thailand all used during pregnancy
- 13:35Speaker 4: to autism.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Read Robert F.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Kennedy Junior, and he's it's astounding. You say it, it
- 13:43Speaker 3: must be true, even in light of overwhelming evidence that
- 13:48Speaker 3: it's not true.
- 13:49Speaker 2: It doesn't matter.
- 13:51Speaker 3: If I say autism is connected to this, or this
- 13:53Speaker 3: is connect to autism.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Then it is there, it goes right there, and it
- 13:58Speaker 2: just it happened.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this, Why do they even do the science?
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, God forbid we need science anymore. We don't.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Now science is out is out the window anyway. They're
- 14:11Speaker 3: fighting it.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Okay, round one is done. This is good news. Former
- 14:17Speaker 5: President Biden has finished a course of radiation therapy. He's
- 14:22Speaker 5: battling an aggressive form of prostate cancer. We found that
- 14:26Speaker 5: out a bit a while ago. It's not clear what
- 14:29Speaker 5: his next treatment steps might be. The president turns eighty
- 14:34Speaker 5: three next month. Biden's daughter posted a short video over
- 14:39Speaker 5: brother of her father ringing the bell, which is kind
- 14:42Speaker 5: of a traditional thing that you do when you finish
- 14:44Speaker 5: cancer treatments. Yeah, I never had to ring the bell.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Why you finished?
- 14:49Speaker 5: I know, I got to call my doctor and find out.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Why didn't I get to ring the bell?
- 14:53Speaker 2: I wonder what if he gets is prostate removed?
- 14:57Speaker 3: Does that go to the Biden library, like in a
- 14:59Speaker 3: little jar from aldehyde, that he was.
- 15:05Speaker 1: A handsome man. That prostate's probably seen some action.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Hello, Now I'm just thinking of trying to define what
- 15:13Speaker 3: is action on a prostate.
- 15:15Speaker 2: All right, moving on, Neil.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Okay, So, James B.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Comy, the former FBI director, is he asked the federal
- 15:26Speaker 4: judge just yesterday to dismiss the criminal case against him.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Of course, he is referring to it as vindictive prosecution
- 15:34Speaker 4: and a direct extension of President Donald Trump's issues with him,
- 15:39Speaker 4: his personal animosity that he has towards call me.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Now we knew that was coming.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah. Now there are three of them that
- 15:48Speaker 2: have been indicted.
- 15:49Speaker 3: You've got Leticia James, James, call me me, and John
- 15:52Speaker 3: Bolton Latisia. James and John Bolton probably have a much
- 15:56Speaker 3: better chance or they have. There's no issue they have
- 15:59Speaker 3: in terms of this kind of argument. Comy has an
- 16:02Speaker 3: argument here, and his argument is, as you said, that's
- 16:06Speaker 3: personal animosity and vindictive prosecution going after someone strictly for
- 16:14Speaker 3: political motives. The problem is, is there any rationale?
- 16:19Speaker 2: Is?
- 16:19Speaker 1: What?
- 16:20Speaker 3: Is there nothing that Comy has done wrong? And people
- 16:26Speaker 3: were fired on this and quit, you know, senior Department
- 16:29Speaker 3: of Justice lawyers walked out the door saying there's not
- 16:32Speaker 3: enough evidence here to even go after him.
- 16:34Speaker 2: And he's saying, I want the.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Whole case dismissed with prejudice, which means the judge says
- 16:40Speaker 3: it's over, it's done. You walk outside the door. We'll
- 16:42Speaker 3: see what happens. Do I believe it's vindictive prosecution? Does
- 16:47Speaker 3: anybody not believe it is? But as Pam Bondi says,
- 16:52Speaker 3: we just follow the law, except when it comes to
- 16:55Speaker 3: Tom Holman, who is Director of Ice, then we don't
- 16:59Speaker 3: follow the law. A little bit different, all right.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Flying in style, The Coastguard says it plans to buy
- 17:05Speaker 5: two Gulfstream private jets. They're going to be used by
- 17:09Speaker 5: Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome and other Department of Homeland
- 17:13Speaker 5: Security and Coast Guard officials. Apparently cost two hundred million dollars.
- 17:20Speaker 5: In August, the Post had The Washington Post had reported
- 17:24Speaker 5: that Nome was living rent free at a home that
- 17:27Speaker 5: was supposed to be used by the Coastguard's top admiral,
- 17:30Speaker 5: and was using the Coast Guard's existing jet for personal travel,
- 17:33Speaker 5: which of course came under fire by democrats and ethics watchdogs.
- 17:37Speaker 5: DHS says nome use of the residents was temporary. She
- 17:42Speaker 5: purchased or actually reimbursed the government for private travel. According
- 17:46Speaker 5: to the DHS.
- 17:48Speaker 2: That gets interesting.
- 17:50Speaker 3: You know that Theoretically, when the president flies on Air
- 17:54Speaker 3: Force one for private purposes or his family or whatever,
- 17:57Speaker 3: he reimburses the government had pennies on the dollar, and
- 18:02Speaker 3: whenever you hear we've reimbursed the government, under these circumstances,
- 18:06Speaker 3: it's virtually nothing. It's paid for by the government. And
- 18:09Speaker 3: these are you know, two hundred million dollars for a
- 18:11Speaker 3: couple of jets. Man, those are high end yet corporate jets.
- 18:16Speaker 3: That is not a bad way to travel.
- 18:20Speaker 1: All right.
- 18:20Speaker 4: We've heard about more bodies of deceased hostages coming back
- 18:26Speaker 4: home to Israel. In this particular case, they did they
- 18:32Speaker 4: identified the remains of a deceased Israeli hostage handed over
- 18:37Speaker 4: yesterday and they believe it is the body of Sergeant
- 18:41Speaker 4: Major tal Hamim, and they believe he was killed in
- 18:48Speaker 4: the Hamas led attack on October seventh, twenty twenty three.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Now, think about this for a moment.
- 18:55Speaker 3: I can understand them taking hostages because that's part of
- 18:59Speaker 3: a military place. I mean, obviously, I think the Hamas
- 19:02Speaker 3: a bunch of animals and terrorists.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I get that.
- 19:04Speaker 3: But can you imagine the order of you kill as
- 19:07Speaker 3: many as possible, you take as many hostages, and you
- 19:13Speaker 3: drag as many bodies as you can to be put
- 19:16Speaker 3: into our care, so we can negotiate dead bodies for
- 19:24Speaker 3: the end of the war, negotiate some kind of a truce.
- 19:27Speaker 2: And of course Comas is crazy.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I mean, they thought that the whole Arab world would
- 19:32Speaker 3: rise up and finally put Israel down. I mean, just
- 19:36Speaker 3: I don't even understand their thinking. But if the ceasefire
- 19:41Speaker 3: falls apart, which very good chance that it will, and Natanya,
- 19:45Speaker 3: who is on the verge of opening this thing up again,
- 19:48Speaker 3: it'll be over the dead hostages. Israel was supposed to
- 19:53Speaker 3: receive all the dead bodies within seventy two hours of
- 19:57Speaker 3: the ceasefire signing, and it's been over a week and nope,
- 20:01Speaker 3: not yet. Jamas is saying, we don't know where the
- 20:04Speaker 3: dead bodies are. They're not in our kit well, and
- 20:08Speaker 3: we say care they are. They're not with us. But
- 20:13Speaker 3: they said, you said you had them all, Well we don't.
- 20:16Speaker 3: All right, we'll see what happens.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Cancel culture apparently even applies to Starbucks. The union representing
- 20:23Speaker 5: Starbucks wants to have Starbucks polled as the official coffee
- 20:29Speaker 5: partner of the twenty twenty eight Olympic Games in la
- 20:33Speaker 5: The union says that Starbucks treatment of US workers looking
- 20:37Speaker 5: to unionize and bargain a contract, as well as allegations
- 20:40Speaker 5: of forced labor abroad, conflict with the Olympic Games Code
- 20:43Speaker 5: of Ethics. It also alleges the company's supply chain relies
- 20:47Speaker 5: on human trafficking and slavery like labor in Brazil, which
- 20:50Speaker 5: is the world's largest coffee grower. Of course, the company
- 20:54Speaker 5: has denied those allegations.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Okay, and we're lookingoking at specially designed coffee houses in
- 21:03Speaker 3: the Olympic and Paralympic villages. They want to be the
- 21:07Speaker 3: official coffee sponsor, and they are. We have the Dodgers
- 21:12Speaker 3: have a couple of official partners, don't they corporate partners?
- 21:16Speaker 1: Sure? Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 3: I think it can be an official anything for any
- 21:21Speaker 3: venue of any kind.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Yeah, but for the Dodgers, it's not coffee, it's beer.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Yeah. Why don't we become Why don't we get an
- 21:27Speaker 3: official bagel vendor, that's the official bagel vendor of sponsor
- 21:34Speaker 3: of this show. Idea to the official breath freshener of
- 21:38Speaker 3: would you have an official breath freshener. That's true, but
- 21:40Speaker 3: there's nothing to freshen breath with that, we don't have
- 21:43Speaker 3: underlying food.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Oh so you need some garlic bagels or some onion bagels.
- 21:48Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, I just had a garlic
- 21:50Speaker 3: bagel this morning.
- 21:52Speaker 5: Okay, look at the smile on his face with that one.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I'm right.
- 21:56Speaker 3: Oh, Soaring over California no longer soaring, Okay, so.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Soaring around the world. We had Soaring over California. Now
- 22:05Speaker 4: in twenty twenty six, as kind of a honor America's
- 22:10Speaker 4: two hundred and fiftieth birthday, there's going to be Soaring
- 22:13Speaker 4: across America, and it's coming to not a Florida, Walt
- 22:19Speaker 4: Disney World's Epcot there and of course California Adventure here
- 22:23Speaker 4: in Anaheim.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Looking forward to it.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Yeah, she'll be good.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Now, not only do you have to have a ticket
- 22:28Speaker 3: of obviously you on the park, but you have to
- 22:30Speaker 3: go a passport in order to get on the ride.
- 22:32Speaker 3: But that's okay. We're going to have a rip roaring
- 22:35Speaker 3: good time.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Any Way.
- 22:36Speaker 3: That was the best ride at California Adventures for years
- 22:39Speaker 3: and years I've met.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Beautiful. It's tear inducing, it's so beautiful.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Is it still the most high end ride there?
- 22:46Speaker 5: No?
- 22:47Speaker 1: No, they got all kinds of stuff.
- 22:48Speaker 4: They're in cars Land, you have the racers that has
- 22:52Speaker 4: tons of fun.
- 22:53Speaker 5: They're starting into the Galaxy.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Hello, oh yeah, I'm just not a that's in California Adventures.
- 22:59Speaker 5: Yes, that's a more extreme ride though, but soaring around
- 23:03Speaker 5: Staring around the world is definitely one of the more
- 23:05Speaker 5: popular rides.
- 23:07Speaker 3: And I like it. I like it when they go
- 23:09Speaker 3: over the Orange Groves.
- 23:11Speaker 5: Yeah, they only do that now during select times because
- 23:16Speaker 5: really yeah, because they've changed it from sore and over
- 23:19Speaker 5: California to soaring around the World.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Oh, you could actually smell the garbage in the homeless
- 23:27Speaker 4: yurine when you when you would fly over La was.
- 23:30Speaker 4: I mean, it's tremendous. The imagineers, they.
- 23:35Speaker 5: Get it right. Yeah, all right, Well, the big beautiful
- 23:39Speaker 5: Ballroom is making a big beautiful mess. Construction is underway
- 23:44Speaker 5: on the new two hundred and fifty million dollars White
- 23:47Speaker 5: House Ballroom. Workers tore down part of the East Wing
- 23:51Speaker 5: ahead of building a ninety thousand square foot edition, one
- 23:55Speaker 5: of the biggest changes to the White House in decades.
- 23:58Speaker 5: A back host started tearing into the side of the
- 24:01Speaker 5: east wing facing the Treasury Building.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Now.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Back in July, Trump had said that the ballroom wouldn't
- 24:06Speaker 5: actually impact the existing White House structure. But apparently if
- 24:10Speaker 5: you take a look at the side of the building
- 24:12Speaker 5: that is no longer there, that's not the case.
- 24:15Speaker 3: And when you think of the White House as this
- 24:19Speaker 3: building that is so inviolate, how do you how dare
- 24:22Speaker 3: you change the footprint or the look of the White House?
- 24:26Speaker 2: Well, they it's happened tons of times.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean yeah, it's been remodeled, it's been
- 24:32Speaker 3: added to, the wings have been added.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:35Speaker 5: So I was talking to Karen Travers today from ABC
- 24:37Speaker 5: about this, and I was asking, do they need this structure?
- 24:43Speaker 5: And she said that when they have these huge state
- 24:46Speaker 5: dinners and stuff where they have like up to a
- 24:48Speaker 5: thousand people there, they put these she calls them tense,
- 24:52Speaker 5: but they're not really because it's like a semi permanent structure.
- 24:55Speaker 5: So they're putting that up and tearing that down when
- 24:57Speaker 5: they have these big dinners. Now, this is going to
- 24:59Speaker 5: be a permit instruction.
- 25:01Speaker 2: I mean there is one issue.
- 25:02Speaker 3: The fifty foot tall gold statute of Donald Trump as
- 25:06Speaker 3: you go through the entrance. Yeah, like the Colossus of Rhodes,
- 25:10Speaker 3: you know, with the big the feet straddling the entrance
- 25:13Speaker 3: of the harbor.
- 25:14Speaker 4: He's putting a penthouse at the top of the Washington mind. Yeah,
- 25:18Speaker 4: and then there'll be a big Trump tower on it.
- 25:21Speaker 1: It'll be great.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Of course, it'll be taken down by Newsome, who refuses
- 25:27Speaker 4: to have balls.
- 25:29Speaker 1: All right, the.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Survivor of a US strike on that submersible festival vessel
- 25:36Speaker 4: rather you remember the US strike in the Caribbean, and
- 25:40Speaker 4: Ecuador says that the survivor that they pulled out, that
- 25:45Speaker 4: the US military personnel rescued. They said there's no evidence
- 25:50Speaker 4: that he committed any crime, even though the US said
- 25:53Speaker 4: that US intelligence confirmed the festival is carrying mostly fetanyl
- 25:59Speaker 4: and other illegal drugs.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Now, I have a question here. It's a couple of things.
- 26:03Speaker 3: First of all, Ecodor points out, we don't make fentanyl.
- 26:08Speaker 3: That's not comes that doesn't come from US, and so
- 26:11Speaker 3: that's one issue. The other one is what's a submersible
- 26:15Speaker 3: vessel doing out there?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Anyway?
- 26:17Speaker 3: You just happen to be on international waters in your
- 26:19Speaker 3: little submarine having a good time.
- 26:22Speaker 1: You can't really say it's fishing.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I suppose, I don't think so. So, you know, there
- 26:27Speaker 3: are several size of this. But if I had to guess,
- 26:31Speaker 3: all things being equal, even without our government saying that
- 26:35Speaker 3: our intelligence says that there were.
- 26:37Speaker 2: There were no ille illegal or there were illegal drugs.
- 26:40Speaker 3: I'm going you know, I'm going on on the side
- 26:45Speaker 3: that it was probably not a good thing out there.
- 26:47Speaker 3: It was not a you know, this was not money
- 26:50Speaker 3: being given to Mother Teresa's charity.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Maybe they were trying to smuggle tailant all in for.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point. Okay, guys, we're done. You've
- 26:59Speaker 2: been listening to the Bill handle the show.
