- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Just after six o'clock. Thank you so much for starting
- 0:05Speaker 2: your day with us. Glad you're here. Ricky Sanchez has
- 0:07Speaker 2: those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Judge Judy has announced her retirement. She is retiring after
- 0:14Speaker 3: more than 30 years on television. Her series, Judy Justice,
- 0:19Speaker 3: will air its final episode in October. Then her son, Adam,
- 0:23Speaker 3: is going to take over with a new courtroom series,
- 0:26Speaker 3: Adam's Law. She's going to remain involved as a producer.
- 0:29Speaker 3: She just won't be on the actual TV show itself.
- 0:32Speaker 3: He's an attorney who has also appeared on television before.
- 0:35Speaker 3: The show is going to take over the small claims format.
- 0:39Speaker 3: So same kind of vibe, but obviously no one's Judge Judy.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Judge Judy is a one of a kind. So I
- 0:46Speaker 3: know obviously a lot of people are upset about that,
- 0:48Speaker 3: but we'll see how Adam does. Loveless Cafe is celebrating
- 0:52Speaker 3: 75 years with a party. Jam Fest is happening on
- 0:55Speaker 3: September 19th at the Loveless Barn with a build-your-own-biscuit slider bar,
- 1:00Speaker 3: a Dolly Parton lookalike teaching line dancing, and live music
- 1:04Speaker 3: featuring Danielle Bradbury. You can grab tickets on Loveless Cafe's website.
- 1:08Speaker 3: All the net proceeds are going to benefit Second Harvest
- 1:10Speaker 3: Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, which is a fantastic, beautiful
- 1:14Speaker 3: cause that everybody should get more involved in if they
- 1:16Speaker 3: ever get a chance to. And if the way that
- 1:18Speaker 3: you get involved is by, you know, attaching yourself to
- 1:21Speaker 3: a party like this or a gathering like this and
- 1:23Speaker 3: they give proceeds to them, that's great. But I also
- 1:26Speaker 3: want to take the time to say that you can
- 1:29Speaker 3: donate your time. You can volunteer with them. I've done
- 1:31Speaker 3: it before. It is an amazing time. You feel so
- 1:34Speaker 3: good afterwards. And you know that you are helping out
- 1:36Speaker 3: everybody in your backyard. The more times the NASCAR team
- 1:40Speaker 3: swears on the radio, the more money a fan could win.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Fans are asked to guess which of the 15 common
- 1:47Speaker 3: swear words will be said the most times on a
- 1:49Speaker 3: team radio. And then NASCAR adds $ 5 per swear into
- 1:54Speaker 3: a virtual swear jar at nascarswearejar.com. The weekly winners then
- 2:00Speaker 3: face off in one final guessing game on November 8th
- 2:04Speaker 3: in Miami. The curse word that's been used the most
- 2:06Speaker 3: so far? Can you guys guess which one? What does
- 2:08Speaker 3: it start with? Obviously, you can't say the actual word.
- 2:11Speaker 2: You think it's F?
- 2:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 2: You'd be correct.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 2:13Speaker 3: You'd be correct. F is the most used word so far.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 2:20Speaker 3: need to know.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Ricky. That's a very weird story
- 2:23Speaker 2: about the virtual swear word.
- 2:24Speaker 4: I love it.
- 2:24Speaker 2: We should start one of those over here. I'm going
- 2:25Speaker 2: to start one for you guys.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Off the air. Oh, girl.
- 2:28Speaker 2: You'll be rich. You'll be rich. We've got low-end tickets

- 3:27Speaker 2: I try not to. I like my job. We get
- 3:30Speaker 2: to meet people like Ethan. Kevin's sucking up now.
- 3:33Speaker 1: What do you want?
- 3:34Speaker 4: I know.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I'm like, what are you trying to get at here, Kevin?
- 3:36Speaker 2: Ethan, what do you do? I know you're on your
- 3:38Speaker 2: way to work right now.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Where do you work?
- 3:39Speaker 2: I work at the Sheridan Grand downtown.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Oh, cool.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Oh, is that the one with the nice restaurant up top?
- 3:45Speaker 5: Yep.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Oh, I love that. Yeah, I love that restaurant. They
- 3:48Speaker 2: have the best sushi.
- 3:49Speaker 3: That's what we love to hear. Ethan, I think you're
- 3:52Speaker 3: also going to love to hear something else. You're the
- 3:54Speaker 3: first caller of the day this morning on 107.5 The River.
- 3:57Speaker 3: You're getting to see Lil Wayne at Bridgestone Arena September 25th.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Congrats.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I appreciate it. Thank you. You got it, buddy. Have
- 4:04Speaker 2: you ever seen Lil Wayne before? Are you a Lil
- 4:06Speaker 2: Wayne fan?
- 4:07Speaker 4: You know, I've never seen Lil Wayne.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I've not listened to much of.
- 4:10Speaker 2: His stuff, but like a little bit of it.
- 4:12Speaker 4: So this will be fun.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Okay. Maybe brush up before you go to the show
- 4:15Speaker 2: in 10 days. And I don't know how you are with...
- 4:19Speaker 2: The smell of marijuana, but get ready for that, too. Kevin. Oh,
- 4:24Speaker 2: I'm perfectly fine with that.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Okay, good.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Kevin, you sound like a snitch right now.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:29Speaker 1: My God. I'm just saying that.
- 4:31Speaker 2: He doesn't listen in a little way, and I'm making
- 4:33Speaker 2: sure he knows what he's getting himself into when he
- 4:34Speaker 2: goes to the show. Snitches get stitches, Kev. Watch your back.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Ethan, thank you so much for hanging out with us.
- 4:39Speaker 3: We appreciate you. We're going to put you on hold
- 4:41Speaker 3: for just a second so we can get.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Your info, okay? All right, sounds good. We've got more
- 4:45Speaker 2: tomorrow and all week. If you want these Lil Wayne tickets,
- 4:47Speaker 2: start your.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Day with us. 107.5, The River.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Zach unexpectedly spent $ 356 yesterday, and it was actually not
- 4:57Speaker 3: his fault.
- 4:57Speaker 2: It was involuntary.
- 4:59Speaker 3: It was not on TikTok shop.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It was not on Amazon.
- 5:02Speaker 3: It was on something totally unexpected.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Right after Bruno Mars, Zach is going to explain this
- 5:06Speaker 2: because for once, Ricky and I are fully on his side.
- 5:10Speaker 2: And this is an injustice. We're going to talk about
- 5:12Speaker 2: it next on The River.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning.
- 5:16Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Zach, what was that dollar amount again?
- 5:19Speaker 5: $ 356. I don't like saying it out loud. Kind of
- 5:24Speaker 5: makes me nauseous.
- 5:26Speaker 2: He got hit with a $ 356 bill yesterday morning. Actually,
- 5:29Speaker 2: as we were ending the show, this all went down.
- 5:31Speaker 2: And it is a true injustice. It's a travesty. What happened?
- 5:35Speaker 2: My car got towed from work.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Literally in the same parking garage that we have parked
- 5:40Speaker 5: in for.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Now over a year.
- 5:42Speaker 3: We've been here over a year.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Well over a year. Guys, time flies. It's crazy.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Don't look at me like I'm crazy.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Time flies.
- 5:50Speaker 3: So your car got towed. You knew that something was
- 5:53Speaker 3: going on because you got a notification from like your
- 5:56Speaker 3: car app that was like, and you thought that somebody
- 5:58Speaker 3: had hit it.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah, because it.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Said that like my alarm was going off because of
- 6:03Speaker 5: movement or whatever. Actually, it said unauthorized vehicle movement. So
- 6:06Speaker 5: I was like, okay, maybe somebody like... Backed into it.
- 6:08Speaker 5: It bumped it a little bit.
- 6:09Speaker 2: So like unauthorized vehicle movement. So I was like, no biggie.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I'll go check it out for the show.
- 6:13Speaker 5: I walked down into the parking garage and I was like,
- 6:16Speaker 5: what level did I park on? So I went to
- 6:18Speaker 5: every single one because I was like, I know I
- 6:21Speaker 5: parked on P3, like parking level three.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So I went to P3. It was not there.
- 6:26Speaker 5: I was like, maybe because it was so early that
- 6:28Speaker 5: I actually parked on a different level. So I went
- 6:29Speaker 5: to every single level and I was like, my car
- 6:31Speaker 5: is not here. Nowhere to be found.
- 6:34Speaker 3: So the next step?
- 6:35Speaker 2: I go down to the leasing office.
- 6:38Speaker 5: And, well, actually, I checked my app to see where
- 6:40Speaker 5: my car was, and it was driving down Broadway because
- 6:42Speaker 5: our studio was on Broadway. And so I could, like,
- 6:45Speaker 5: see the location of my car, and it was, like,
- 6:46Speaker 5: moving down Broadway. And I was like, what is happening?
- 6:49Speaker 2: Were you thinking towed or were you thinking stolen? I
- 6:52Speaker 2: thought stolen for sure.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 2: The way it was moving, I was like, okay, this
- 6:57Speaker 2: is so weird.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Just to give you a little background, there's been a
- 7:00Speaker 3: lot of crazy things happening in our parking garage, unfortunately.
- 7:04Speaker 3: So that's probably why he immediately went to stolen.
- 7:07Speaker 2: We've had break-ins. We had a.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Shooting in our parking garage just a week ago. So
- 7:14Speaker 3: that's why his brain immediately went to stolen.
- 7:16Speaker 2: But it was towed.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Tell everybody why.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Because what they claim is that I.
- 7:23Speaker 2: What they claim.
- 7:24Speaker 5: They're saying that I tailgated somebody into the private residence
- 7:28Speaker 5: parking of our parking garage and that I didn't have
- 7:31Speaker 5: a valid sticker to be able to park there.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Bro, I've had this car since February.
- 7:37Speaker 5: I parked every single day in the same location in
- 7:40Speaker 5: the parking garage since February. It has been seven months
- 7:44Speaker 5: and nobody has said a single word. and we have
- 7:46Speaker 5: dumb metropolis in our parking garage so it scans your
- 7:50Speaker 5: license plate as soon as you come in so i
- 7:52Speaker 5: got the notification from metropolis saying that i scanned my
- 7:54Speaker 5: license plate they know i'm here why did they steal my.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Car uh did you actually tailgate somebody did you get
- 8:00Speaker 2: too close to somebody.
- 8:01Speaker 3: That's kind of why i'm smiling zach is known for
- 8:04Speaker 3: doing that i.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Didn't tailgate the gate was open so i went through
- 8:07Speaker 5: because somebody went was there a car though yeah okay There.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Was a car in front of me that opened the gate.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Zach doesn't like to wait. So he's known to tailgate
- 8:16Speaker 3: people into the gate because he doesn't want the gate to.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Close and open again. Do you wait for the gate
- 8:20Speaker 2: to close all the way? I would tailgate as well.
- 8:22Speaker 3: No, but I don't tailgate. I don't ride someone's behind
- 8:26Speaker 3: so bad that somebody goes, you're tailgating.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Well, I think they probably said tailgating because we do
- 8:32Speaker 5: have a lot of construction people that park in our
- 8:34Speaker 5: parking garage as well. And they don't have access to
- 8:36Speaker 5: like the secure part of the parking garage. So maybe
- 8:40Speaker 5: they thought it was like somebody that did not need
- 8:42Speaker 5: to be in there.
- 8:43Speaker 2: I don't know. So you're fighting this. Are you getting
- 8:45Speaker 2: your money back? Allegedly.
- 8:47Speaker 5: They say that they're going to reimburse me, but we'll see,
- 8:49Speaker 5: and I will fight till the death, because.
- 8:52Speaker 2: $ 356, that is a lot of money.
- 8:55Speaker 3: He also just, he didn't have the sticker on his car,
- 8:58Speaker 3: which is a big bummer.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Gotta get that sticker.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 2: It's on there now.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Good.
- 9:01Speaker 3: I'm glad that it's on there now, otherwise you're gonna
- 9:03Speaker 3: get towed again today.
- 9:04Speaker 5: I want 10 stickers on that car, one on every
- 9:07Speaker 5: single window.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Class is in session.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 9:14Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Well, now that football is officially back, and you know
- 9:18Speaker 5: I'm a real sportsy gal, we.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Got to talk about football.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Did you guys know that there's only two left-handed quarterbacks
- 9:24Speaker 5: in the NFL Hall of Fame?
- 9:25Speaker 4: Wild.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Oh, weird.
- 9:27Speaker 4: I know.
- 9:27Speaker 5: There's 387 members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame,
- 9:30Speaker 5: and only two of them are left-handed.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Who are they?
- 9:32Speaker 5: Steve Young and Ken Stabler. Steve Young won Super Bowls
- 9:36Speaker 5: for the 49ers. And Ken Stapler won them for the
- 9:40Speaker 5: Oakland Raiders.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I didn't know. And Ricky, I'm impressed you asked a
- 9:42Speaker 2: follow-up question and Zach was ready.
- 9:44Speaker 4: With the answer.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I know.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I was born ready, honey. That's not true. Okay, give
- 9:48Speaker 2: me for once.
- 9:50Speaker 3: You can't say born ready. You were ready today and
- 9:52Speaker 3: we appreciate it.
- 9:53Speaker 2: There's your fact of the day.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Has your kid ever asked a completely unexpected question? Or
- 10:02Speaker 2: sometimes when they're young, they begin life with these wild theories,
- 10:05Speaker 2: like my daughter thought all dogs were boys and all
- 10:08Speaker 2: cats were girls.
- 10:12Speaker 3: There's literally no reason to think that.
- 10:15Speaker 4: That's adorable.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Kids, they just have these thoughts. They just need
- 10:18Speaker 2: these things programmed. We love their little brains. I don't know.
- 10:23Speaker 4: 615-737-9107.
- 10:24Speaker 2: What weird, insane thoughts did your kids have? Did they
- 10:27Speaker 2: ask you questions about? Let us know.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 10:31Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Has your kid ever asked you a completely unexpected question?
- 10:37Speaker 3: It's Ricky Zaccomano in the morning on 107.5 The River.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Most of you can immediately think of situation... That popped
- 10:43Speaker 3: right in your head when your kid said something so
- 10:46Speaker 3: out of pocket and you went, why did you think
- 10:48Speaker 3: that was a thing? The reason we bring this up
- 10:51Speaker 3: is because there's a woman on threads who said that
- 10:53Speaker 3: her kid asked if clowns were real people or a
- 10:56Speaker 3: costume because she thought that clowns were a specific species
- 10:59Speaker 3: of human.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Okay, I kind of track that logic, though.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You're born a clown. And that's all you see them as.
- 11:04Speaker 3: I guess that's where you would think that maybe they're just...
- 11:07Speaker 3: born that way i've.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Never seen him out of costume it makes sense i've
- 11:10Speaker 2: never been the type to say clowns are scary but
- 11:12Speaker 2: that concept is terrifying to.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Me absolutely terrifying that someone would just be born that
- 11:16Speaker 3: way and not choose it as a costume and that
- 11:19Speaker 3: spurred into obviously a lot of other people telling their
- 11:22Speaker 3: stories this one person said my daughter thought this is
- 11:25Speaker 3: about nuns we used to drive past a group of
- 11:27Speaker 3: nuns taking their walk in their garb and she would
- 11:31Speaker 3: say what is it It's a person. This person also thought,
- 11:37Speaker 3: like their kid also thought that about lumberjacks. They thought
- 11:40Speaker 3: they were a mythical creature that doesn't actually exist. Lumberjacks
- 11:43Speaker 3: aren't real. This person says the tooth fairy was late
- 11:47Speaker 3: picking up his tooth. So we got a note from
- 11:49Speaker 3: her to apologize. And he was confused because he didn't
- 11:52Speaker 3: think she had any arms.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I would have picked up the tooth if it didn't
- 11:57Speaker 2: have arms.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Great question.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Where do these kids get these thoughts in their head
- 12:00Speaker 5: in the first place?
- 12:01Speaker 3: My four-year-old asked me if skeletons are real, and I
- 12:04Speaker 3: honestly didn't know how to answer it.
- 12:06Speaker 2: There's one inside you right now. That's terrifying as well.
- 12:09Speaker 3: That's a terrifying concept to try to explain to a child.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I'm like, yes, that skeleton that you see every Halloween
- 12:15Speaker 3: is actually inside your body.
- 12:16Speaker 2: That is freaky.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I recall asking my dad where football teams had... find
- 12:21Speaker 3: so many men shaped like that i didn't know they
- 12:23Speaker 3: were wearing shoulder pads this.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Just reminded me right now it's popped in my head
- 12:28Speaker 2: my daughter when she was little she asked if people
- 12:31Speaker 2: in the olden days had longer arms to be able
- 12:33Speaker 2: to hold a newspaper because like she thought newspapers were
- 12:36Speaker 2: like you would always.
- 12:37Speaker 5: See that they were enormous things well she was little
- 12:40Speaker 5: so it was big to her and so she just
- 12:42Speaker 5: thought that like the arms were extra long and a
- 12:44Speaker 5: person to be able to hold a newspaper that's So cute.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And this one's really sweet. This is the last one
- 12:48Speaker 3: I'm going to say. We want to hear from you, though,
- 12:50Speaker 3: if you have any of these unexpected questions or unexpected
- 12:53Speaker 3: thought processes from your children.
- 12:55Speaker 2: 615-737-9107.
- 12:56Speaker 3: We want to hear from you. The last one I'm
- 13:00Speaker 3: going to leave you with. I once told my four
- 13:03Speaker 3: year old that something was too expensive and he said.
- 13:06Speaker 2: That's OK.
- 13:07Speaker 3: We can just get the bees to make us some coins.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Because he thought honey and money were the same thing.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Oh, that's really sweet. That's amazing. 615-737-9107 if you have
- 13:18Speaker 2: any of these to share.
- 13:20Speaker 4: 1075, the river.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Sean in Nashville called us. He's on the line right now. Sean,
- 13:24Speaker 2: do you have any of these? We were talking about
- 13:25Speaker 2: like crazy thoughts kids have that lead to these insane questions.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Do you have an example of that?
- 13:30Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I do.
- 13:31Speaker 2: So my 10 and 11-year-old daughters.
- 13:34Speaker 4: We're.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Sitting at the dinner table one day and they stopped
- 13:36Speaker 2: me and said, hey.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Dad, we were just thinking if mommy carried.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Us for eight months, what job did you have in this? And?
- 13:48Speaker 3: Called you out immediately.
- 13:52Speaker 4: My wife just got up from the table and just
- 13:54Speaker 4: walked away.
- 13:55Speaker 3: She was like, this is a you problem.
- 13:56Speaker 4: You deal with this.
- 13:57Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not going to lie. Valid question, though. Sean,
- 14:00Speaker 5: what were you doing?
- 14:02Speaker 2: Sean, thank you for calling, buddy. Thank you for listening
- 14:04Speaker 2: and starting your day with us. Thank you. Have a
- 14:06Speaker 2: great day. Brittany in Clarksville is.
- 14:09Speaker 4: On the phone.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Do you have an example, Brittany?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:12Speaker 2: My daughter was probably in, like, first or second grade,
- 14:15Speaker 2: and we were driving past a horse and buggy, which
- 14:18Speaker 2: was the Amish, and.
- 14:20Speaker 5: She thought they were pilgrims.
- 14:21Speaker 3: And she said, where are the pilgrims?
- 14:23Speaker 5: Why are they here?
- 14:25Speaker 2: And I then had to go on a deep search
- 14:27Speaker 2: to explain to her the difference between the Amish and pilgrims.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Oh, my goodness. I mean, I understand you really learn
- 14:33Speaker 3: about pilgrims in school. And then you think, oh, there's
- 14:37Speaker 3: probably pilgrims everywhere then.
- 14:38Speaker 2: And if you're not familiar with the Amish at that point,
- 14:41Speaker 2: it makes perfect sense. Yeah.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:43Speaker 3: So I was like, okay, it makes sense, but that
- 14:45Speaker 3: is not a pilgrim. Brittany, thank you so much for
- 14:50Speaker 3: calling in.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Amy in Goodlettsville, tell us your story. What crazy, unexpected
- 14:56Speaker 3: thought did your kids have?
- 14:58Speaker 5: So my son, he asked me, mind you, I was
- 15:02Speaker 5: born in 85, and he asked me, was it black
- 15:04Speaker 5: and white when.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I was born? That sounds like something Ricky would say
- 15:09Speaker 2: to Kevin.
- 15:10Speaker 4: It really is.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Because I was born in 83, so it was even
- 15:14Speaker 2: more black and white when I was born. Right, he
- 15:16Speaker 2: also asked if the dinosaurs were on when I was
- 15:19Speaker 2: a baby. Now that's offensive.
- 15:22Speaker 3: I think it's fantastic because you don't have any idea what, like,
- 15:26Speaker 3: age really is or, you know, how long life has
- 15:29Speaker 3: actually been on Earth or anything like that.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Oh, but my son's 19.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Oh.
- 15:33Speaker 2: That was just a troll moment right there. He's roasting you.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I was not expecting that. That made my day.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Thank you. Bye, Amy. We've got Pentatonix tickets next with
- 15:51Speaker 2: the game of the day.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Name that tune, acapella edition. That's the name of Kevin
- 15:56Speaker 3: Mano's game of the day presented by Genesis Diamonds on 107.5
- 16:00Speaker 3: The River because we got tickets to see Pentatonix at
- 16:03Speaker 3: Bridgestone Arena on December 9th. That's kind of their.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Thing, you know? Their acapella. So we are playing Name
- 16:09Speaker 2: That Tune. These songs are stripped of music, though. It
- 16:12Speaker 2: is just raw vocals. You have to tell us the
- 16:14Speaker 2: artist and the song. We're about to give you today's clue.
- 16:17Speaker 2: If you know it, 615-737-9107. Again, Ricky and Zach, you
- 16:21Speaker 2: have not heard this. It's going to be a recognizable voice,
- 16:24Speaker 2: but the song title.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Is maybe the part that's... Can you do us a
- 16:26Speaker 3: favor this time, Kevin? Make sure that we can hear it.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yes, I have it ready to go. You're going to
- 16:30Speaker 2: be able to hear this. Here we go. When I'm
- 16:33Speaker 2: without you, I'm so insecure. You are the one thing,
- 16:40Speaker 2: one thing I'm living for.
- 16:42Speaker 4: 615-737-9107.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Again, the voice. You're going to know the voice there.
- 16:45Speaker 2: But what is the song title as well? We need
- 16:47Speaker 2: name of the song as well as the artist. You
- 16:50Speaker 2: guys know it? Yeah.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Wow.
- 16:52Speaker 2: This is easier than I thought it'd be. 615-737-9107 for
- 16:56Speaker 2: these Pentatonix tickets. Let's go.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 17:00Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Pentatonix is going to be in town at Bridgestone Arena
- 17:05Speaker 3: on December 9th to celebrate Christmas. And Kevin Mano's game
- 17:09Speaker 3: of the day. On 107.5 The River, we'll give you
- 17:11Speaker 3: tickets to go see them. If you can name that tune,
- 17:14Speaker 3: acapella version.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Yes, we played The Clue a moment ago. We'll play
- 17:17Speaker 2: it again in a second here for Devin in Lebanon.
- 17:20Speaker 2: How are you, Devin?
- 17:21Speaker 5: I'm doing good.
- 17:21Speaker 1: How are y'all?
- 17:22Speaker 2: No complaints. No complaints. What are you doing right now?
- 17:25Speaker 4: I am pulled over, fixing.
- 17:27Speaker 5: To take my kiddo to a doctor's appointment.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Oh, I hope everything's okay.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Yes, it's a checkup.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Just a checkup.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Okay, perfect.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Good, good, good. Maybe your kiddo there can, I don't
- 17:37Speaker 2: know how old this kiddo is, but can help you
- 17:39Speaker 2: out with this game. We're going to play the clue
- 17:40Speaker 2: for you one more time, and then your job is
- 17:41Speaker 2: to identify the song title and the artist. Are you ready?
- 17:45Speaker 2: I'm ready. All right, here it is. Just vocals, raw vocals,
- 17:48Speaker 2: no music. Here's today's clue. When I'm without you, I'm
- 17:51Speaker 2: so insecure. You are the one thing, one thing I'm
- 17:56Speaker 2: living for.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Devin, in Lebanon.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 17:59Speaker 2: On the way to a doctor's appointment. Name that tune.
- 18:03Speaker 1: That is Sugar by Maroon 5.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Nailed it!
- 18:09Speaker 2: Congratulations. Thank you. I have wanted to see Pentatonix for
- 18:13Speaker 2: so long.
- 18:14Speaker 5: They actually put on one of the coolest shows that
- 18:16Speaker 5: I've ever been to.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Legitimately sickening. You're going to love it.
- 18:20Speaker 3: And now you will see them at Bridgestone Arena on
- 18:22Speaker 3: December 9th. Congratulations, Devin.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Thank you all so much.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Y'all have a great day.
- 18:27Speaker 2: You too.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Don't hang up.
- 18:28Speaker 2: We're going to put you on hold to get all
- 18:29Speaker 2: your information, okay? Sounds great. Thank you all. Way to go, Devin.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I guess I'm going to have to make it a
- 18:33Speaker 2: little harder tomorrow, guys. I'm going to dig deep.
- 18:35Speaker 3: You don't have to do that. You're choosing to do that.
- 18:38Speaker 3: It's going to be impossible.
- 18:39Speaker 2: It's going to be impossible. A song nobody's ever heard of.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Be here to play the game tomorrow. Kevin singing something.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 18:47Speaker 4: All right. Okay.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Just after eight o'clock here on this Tuesday morning. So
- 18:51Speaker 2: happy you're with us. Ricky's got those three things presented
- 18:53Speaker 2: by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival has announced new dates for 2027.
- 18:59Speaker 3: So happy to say this. We obviously got a little
- 19:02Speaker 3: nervous because they said they were going to skip 2026
- 19:05Speaker 3: due to the negative impacts of storms in the area.
- 19:08Speaker 3: And it's really hard for a music festival to come
- 19:12Speaker 3: back after skipping a year. This is awesome news. So
- 19:16Speaker 3: they're switching things up and they're going to have the
- 19:18Speaker 3: festival in April of 2027. So mark your calendar for
- 19:21Speaker 3: April 10th and 11th. And then more details are to come.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I will keep you updated on everything pilgrimage as it
- 19:27Speaker 3: all comes out. The Emmys were last night. Here are
- 19:31Speaker 3: the things you should know. Matthew Rhys made history as
- 19:34Speaker 3: the first person to win two lead actor awards in
- 19:37Speaker 3: one year for his work in Widow's Bay and The
- 19:40Speaker 3: Beast in Me. I saw The Beast in Me and
- 19:42Speaker 3: it was phenomenal.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Both great shows.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Kevin, you watched Widow's Bay. You really liked it.
- 19:46Speaker 2: My wife didn't like it, but I loved it.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 19:49Speaker 3: So there's... a chance you're going to love it. There's
- 19:51Speaker 3: a chance you're going.
- 19:51Speaker 2: To hate it. Check it out either way.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Best Variety Series went to Late Night with Stephen Colbert.
- 19:57Speaker 3: They did a fantastic sketch with Taylor Swift inside Law
- 20:01Speaker 3: & Order SVU, where she plays a rookie cop trying
- 20:04Speaker 3: to decipher Taylor Swift's Easter eggs. So throughout this entire thing, honestly,
- 20:10Speaker 3: go watch the full thing.
- 20:10Speaker 2: It's worth it.
- 20:11Speaker 3: It's very funny. There is a park. where everyone thinks
- 20:15Speaker 3: she gave true, actual Easter eggs. So here's a clip
- 20:19Speaker 3: of that. I think what we're going to be looking
- 20:21Speaker 3: for is hiding in plain sight. Saccharide Aries from the
- 20:27Speaker 3: vineyard north or south. What could it mean? Nobody knows yet.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I will say the one thing I've seen online that
- 20:34Speaker 3: seems the most on point is from the vineyard. Very
- 20:37Speaker 3: much seems like from the vault. So maybe vault tracks
- 20:41Speaker 3: or something like that coming our way. We will see. Obviously,
- 20:45Speaker 3: there were a lot of other pieces and parts of
- 20:47Speaker 3: this entire sketch that could be all part of her
- 20:50Speaker 3: Easter eggs.
- 20:51Speaker 2: That is just.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Her go-to thing.
- 20:53Speaker 2: It was a great sketch.
- 20:54Speaker 3: It was really well done. And Reba, she did a
- 20:57Speaker 3: tribute to Dolly Parton at the Emmys. A very beautiful tribute.
- 21:00Speaker 3: We want to show you a piece of that.
- 21:02Speaker 2: So here you go.
- 21:02Speaker 5: But I'll keep leaning on my Jesus.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I know he'll love and guide and lead us.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Appalachian memories keep me strong.
- 21:18Speaker 3: That is also worth watching if you get a chance.
- 21:20Speaker 3: It truly was a beautiful tribute to Dolly. Today is
- 21:23Speaker 3: National Voter Registration Day. This day was created back in
- 21:26Speaker 3: 2012 with the goal of trying to get as many
- 21:28Speaker 3: Americans registered to vote as possible before upcoming elections. Thousands
- 21:33Speaker 3: of community partners across the country are going to be,
- 21:35Speaker 3: you know, going out there trying to get people signed
- 21:37Speaker 3: up ahead of very crucial midterm elections. You can learn
- 21:40Speaker 3: more about this at nationalvoterregistration.org. And that's also where you
- 21:45Speaker 3: can check your voter registration status. You should absolutely go
- 21:49Speaker 3: check and make sure, even if you think you're registered,
- 21:51Speaker 3: check anyway.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 21:53Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 21:54Speaker 3: need to know.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 21:57Speaker 3: What book do you think should be made into a movie?
- 22:00Speaker 3: It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning on 107.5
- 22:03Speaker 3: The River. Both you guys have books that you want
- 22:06Speaker 3: made into movies, correct?
- 22:07Speaker 2: I do, I do.
- 22:08Speaker 3: All right, Zach, what's the book that you want made
- 22:10Speaker 3: into a movie?
- 22:11Speaker 5: So the last book that I actually read was the
- 22:13Speaker 5: book about Jeanette McCurdy's life, and it was so good
- 22:15Speaker 5: and so interesting. And they said that they were going
- 22:18Speaker 5: to try and make it into a movie starring Jennifer Aniston,
- 22:21Speaker 5: and now it's been, like, kiboshed.
- 22:23Speaker 2: And I was looking so forward to it. I was like,
- 22:25Speaker 2: it just looks so good.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Also, Zach saying he really loves the book is saying
- 22:29Speaker 3: a lot.
- 22:30Speaker 4: I know.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Because he tries to be a reader, but he really
- 22:33Speaker 3: doesn't like it very much.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I get bored after the first page.
- 22:36Speaker 3: So the fact that you can say that you really
- 22:37Speaker 3: love that book means that it should definitely be made
- 22:40Speaker 3: into a movie.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Did you ever finish the Britney book? I remember you
- 22:43Speaker 2: would come in with an update like, I read another page.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I did finish the Britney book. Okay, that took you
- 22:46Speaker 2: a while to get through that one.
- 22:47Speaker 4: It did. It did.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Kevin, what book do you want made into a movie?
- 22:50Speaker 2: There are these books that at first, I think I
- 22:52Speaker 2: told you guys that I was, well, I usually listen
- 22:54Speaker 2: to them like audio books, but it's this book called Sand.
- 22:58Speaker 2: And at first I didn't like it. And I told
- 22:59Speaker 2: you guys that I was reading this book as a
- 23:01Speaker 2: friend suggested and I didn't like it. But then I
- 23:02Speaker 2: really got into it. And then there's a sequel to
- 23:04Speaker 2: it called Across the Sand. It's the guy that wrote
- 23:06Speaker 2: the books that the show Silo is based on.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I like Silo.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Silo's good. It's this guy Hugh Howey. He's an author.
- 23:12Speaker 2: He wrote the books that Silo is based on. And
- 23:14Speaker 2: this is another series from him. And I would love
- 23:16Speaker 2: to see it as a movie or a series like Silo.
- 23:19Speaker 2: But it's good. I'm a fan of Sand and I
- 23:21Speaker 2: want to see it made. All right.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Let's see if anybody else has any. What book do
- 23:25Speaker 3: you think should be made into a movie or maybe
- 23:26Speaker 3: a book that should never be made into a movie?
- 23:30Speaker 3: Because I am currently reading Jane Eyre. And while I
- 23:32Speaker 3: know that is a classic, I hate it.
- 23:35Speaker 4: Really?
- 23:35Speaker 2: Why are you reading it?
- 23:37Speaker 3: Because it's a classic. So I was like, I got
- 23:39Speaker 3: to read it. I've never read it before. So I've
- 23:40Speaker 3: been reading it.
- 23:41Speaker 2: It's very long, very boring.
- 23:42Speaker 3: I'm just not into it.
- 23:46Speaker 4: 615-737-9107.
- 23:47Speaker 3: What book do you think should or should not be
- 23:49Speaker 3: made into a movie?
- 23:50Speaker 2: Ricky.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Ricky. Zach and Mano in the morning.
- 23:53Speaker 1: On 107.5, The River.
- 23:55Speaker 2: John in Springfield is on the line. What's yours, buddy? So,
- 23:59Speaker 2: I know technically this already happened, but it was all wrong.
- 24:05Speaker 4: The Reacher movie.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Oh.
- 24:07Speaker 3: I don't have anything against Tom.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Cruise as an actor. But it just it was totally wrong.
- 24:13Speaker 2: It did not adapt the books properly. Here's what I
- 24:16Speaker 2: remember about the backlash to that is that Reacher in
- 24:19Speaker 2: the books is like this behemoth of a gigantic man.
- 24:23Speaker 2: And Tom Cruise is definitely not that. Well, yeah, I mean,
- 24:25Speaker 2: think about the Reacher Amazon series. Yeah, I guess you.
- 24:28Speaker 4: That is.
- 24:28Speaker 2: What Jack Reacher should be. So that's... When I heard
- 24:32Speaker 2: the Reacher movie was coming out, I'm like, this is awesome. Now,
- 24:34Speaker 2: starring Tom Cruise?
- 24:36Speaker 1: That's not true.
- 24:37Speaker 2: That's not the author's depiction at all.
- 24:40Speaker 3: All right, so that's a movie that missed the mark.
- 24:41Speaker 4: We need a new one.
- 24:42Speaker 2: A new Reacher.
- 24:43Speaker 4: All right. All right, John.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Thank you so much for calling in this morning.
- 24:46Speaker 2: All right, thank you. I could be Reacher. No, you can't. Kevin.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Not at 5'3. No, I'm 5'10. It's the average height.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Give me some lifts. I could be a reacher. You
- 24:56Speaker 2: are reaching for this right now is what you're doing.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 25:01Speaker 2: It's the river. It's time for the Daily Double Tap. Yes,
- 25:03Speaker 2: it's true. I picked this one. Zach approved it. It's
- 25:06Speaker 2: about Ricky. And Ricky, I think you're going to hear
- 25:08Speaker 2: it and you're going to say... Facts. I think that's
- 25:10Speaker 2: my prediction for your response to it. Just facts?
- 25:13Speaker 4: Yep. Okay.
- 25:14Speaker 2: As two friends of yours, this is something that we
- 25:17Speaker 2: had to learn very early on in this friendship with you.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Okay, let's see. It's either rage bait or I'm going
- 25:23Speaker 3: to agree.
- 25:23Speaker 2: It's one way or the other. It's only four seconds long,
- 25:25Speaker 2: so here we go. Today's Daily Double Tap. If I'm
- 25:28Speaker 2: not even a little bit mean to you, I probably
- 25:31Speaker 2: don't like you. It's your love language.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Day it is true see yeah no that's right that's right.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Wait a minute is this ricky saying this.
- 25:44Speaker 3: My husband recently because he listens to the podcast every
- 25:47Speaker 3: day recently said to me wow you really just bully kevin.
- 25:52Speaker 2: That is the that is the show but.
- 25:54Speaker 3: That's the agreement kevin gets paid so that i can
- 25:56Speaker 3: bully him yeah and the best part is that i
- 25:58Speaker 3: don't have to pay him the company does.
- 26:01Speaker 2: But you're right, yes.
- 26:02Speaker 3: It's all because it's out of love and it's because
- 26:04Speaker 3: I love you and that's why I make fun of everybody.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I bet everybody out there has a Ricky Sanchez in
- 26:09Speaker 2: their life.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:10Speaker 2: If somebody is particularly mean to you, that means that
- 26:13Speaker 2: they like you.
- 26:13Speaker 3: It's playful. It's there to keep things, you know, interesting.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Oh, and by the way, you can listen to that
- 26:21Speaker 2: previously mentioned podcast. We post the show every day when
- 26:24Speaker 2: we get off the air. Just search Ricky, Zach, and
- 26:25Speaker 2: Mano wherever you get your podcasts. That's how Ricky's husband, AJ, listens.
- 26:29Speaker 2: That's how my dad listens to the show. Wherever you
- 26:31Speaker 2: get your podcasts, search Ricky, Zach, and Mano.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
