Speaker 1: I'm so excited for today's episode.
• 1:56
Speaker 1: I have Jodie joining me, who is currently inside her empire but started in the academy inside her empire, but started in the academy, and we're here today to chat about her incredible, insane success this year inside my world.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: But, jodie, welcome to the show.
• 2:11
Speaker 1: Hey, thank you for having me so excited to talk about your story today.
• 2:21
Speaker 1: You've had a huge, huge year just insane growth that we will talk about.
• 2:23
Speaker 1: But I guess I just want to take us back firstly to a journey that started back in 2022, when you went about your own 100 days alcohol-free challenge.
• 2:31
Speaker 1: You achieved insane results.
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Go and have a look at Jodie's Instagram.
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: You've inspired me.
• 2:37
Speaker 1: Actually, I forgot to tell you this.
• 2:39
Speaker 1: I'm currently not drinking.
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: I'm four days?
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: In no way.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: I'm four days in, so we'll see.
• 2:45
Speaker 1: We'll see I can't get it in 100 days, but I am going to try.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: But anyways, back in 2022, you set out on your own alcohol-free journey.
• 2:54
Speaker 1: Incredible results you launched a community that has grown to over 80,000 people, which is wild in such a short amount of time.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: You've been featured in multiple magazines, including Bella magazine.
• 3:09
Speaker 1: You've appeared on so many podcasts and, more recently, you are a finalist in the awards for a new business category one-on-one coaching.
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: It's all happening.
• 3:20
Speaker 1: So take us back to where you were just prior to the Academy, because when I'm reading that, you had this success on the outside.
• 3:30
Speaker 1: You had the success of massive community appearing in magazines business coaching.
• 3:35
Speaker 1: So, yeah, give us a bit of insight in terms of where you were at just prior to joining the Academy and what you were still wanting more of in the business the academy and what you were still wanting more of in the business.
• 3:48
Speaker 2: So maybe literally within the month, I had just left my corporate role before I joined the academy.
• 3:51
Speaker 2: So I had been a corporate girl for oh god, as long as I can remember.
• 3:55
Speaker 2: Since I started taking my career seriously.
• 3:57
Speaker 2: I went straight into the online, the digital space, and I thought that that's what I wanted to do, that I genuinely thought that that is what I wanted to do, that I genuinely thought that that is what I wanted to do and I was just going to keep climbing the ladder and that was me made.
• 4:10
Speaker 2: That was kind of that part of my life taken care of and we'll just keep doing our best, growing teams etc.
• 4:15
Speaker 2: And then when I stopped drinking, that changed for me because I kind of I realized that through helping people with their relationship with alcohol, I was getting so much more from that and it was lighting me up so much more than the work that I was doing in the corporate space.
• 4:31
Speaker 2: And, um, yeah, so I made the decision.
• 4:35
Speaker 2: For a multitude of different reasons, I made the decision that I wanted to go full-time in my own business, which is what I did.
• 4:42
Speaker 2: So I handed my notice in the, I think in the October, and then at the end of January I'd done a full month before I you, I just fell into your world.
• 4:52
Speaker 2: I don't even know how that happened.
• 4:53
Speaker 2: I remember you asking me and I genuinely, I think I saw one post and I'm all about vibes.
• 4:59
Speaker 2: I'm like you, I'm all about vibes and I was like her.
• 5:01
Speaker 2: She is the one.
• 5:05
Speaker 2: She is the one that is going to help me here, and what I've done previously, since I launched Sober Flourish the first part of, well, the first business I kind of sought out business mentors I use inverted commas that I thought that I needed to help me and I would get into these mentorships.
• 5:22
Speaker 2: And I'd think, actually and this isn't me to sound like a bit of a know-it-all, but this is my background, so digital marketing is my bread and butter, so I would get in these mentorships and they would be teaching me things that I was utilising and knowledge sharing with other business owners and had been doing for years.
• 5:42
Speaker 2: So it didn't take long for me to realize, actually I'm not sure that these business mentorships are actually what I need.
• 5:48
Speaker 2: I'm not sure that this is what I'm actually, um, what I'm craving.
• 5:51
Speaker 2: I felt like there was a gap, which was equally so frustrating, because I knew that I needed.
• 5:56
Speaker 2: I didn't want to be on my own.
• 5:57
Speaker 2: I didn't want to have to have these conversations on my own and have no sounding board of people that were sort of in that industry, but I didn't know where I needed to go and who, because I tried maybe three different mentors and, um, I quickly realized that it was the mindset that I needed help with.
• 6:16
Speaker 2: I knew the, knew the foundations.
• 6:18
Speaker 2: I more than knew the foundations.
• 6:20
Speaker 2: I was teaching and delivering to other people and had done for years.
• 6:23
Speaker 2: I didn't need to know how to bring a business to life or how to enhance a digital presence.
• 6:27
Speaker 2: That, again, was my baby.
• 6:28
Speaker 2: It's what I was super passionate about.
• 6:30
Speaker 2: I needed to focus on the mindset and that was just something that was completely and utterly not even on my radar.
• 6:39
Speaker 2: I had no idea the whole element of the subconscious, reprogramming belief systems, etc.
• 6:45
Speaker 2: I have been down a rabbit hole, as everybody does, but it just blew open a whole new world to me.
• 6:52
Speaker 2: So when I started hearing you talking about this sort of thing, I thought actually this could be the missing piece for me, and I think that was possibly something that I saw at the right time and I was like that one her, she gets it.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: I think that's how it happened.
• 7:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, I love this and I mean you obviously knew what you were doing in your business.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: As I mentioned, at the start, you had grown your online presence to a community of just shy at 80,000.
• 7:15
Speaker 1: At that point, you had this program that you were launching and filling up every month.
• 7:22
Speaker 1: You knew what you were doing and, as you've mentioned, you've come from a marketing background.
• 7:26
Speaker 1: So, yeah, you knew what you were doing.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: It was just something within you that needed the work now, which I love that you recognize that because, as you've just highlighted, a lot of women in business don't even realize that they are.
• 7:41
Speaker 1: I'm just going to say the problem whenever a problem, we may need to expand, but often they just blame external things.
• 7:48
Speaker 1: If things aren't moving as quick as they'd like, it's because of the algorithm, or they need a new offer, or maybe their price is too high, or maybe something else needs fixing in the business.
• 7:58
Speaker 1: But, as we have been learning inside the academy, it's a shift in you.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: That is the difference between where you are and where you want to be.
• 8:05
Speaker 1: So you mentioned just before that you knew you wanted to focus on mindset.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: A post obviously sparked that within you.
• 8:12
Speaker 1: Can you tell us more about what you mean by?
• 8:14
Speaker 1: You knew you had to focus on mindset.
• 8:16
Speaker 1: Was there something in you that you were lacking?
• 8:18
Speaker 1: Was there a certain belief that you really needed to work on, like yep 100, so I'll never forget it.
• 8:25
Speaker 2: I say I'll never forget it, but you just sparked that memory in my head now, so maybe I will forget it, but I won't forget it now.
• 8:30
Speaker 2: But you did a mastermind uh, no, you didn't.
• 8:33
Speaker 2: You did a masterclass for this round of the academy and there was a part right at the end where you talk about um, I think it might have been a letter to the post and that feeling that you get and it just.
• 8:44
Speaker 2: I felt like you had reached through the screen and just grabbed me and held me and shook me to wake up because that was something staring me right in the face, that I had a money mindset issue, complete money mindset issue that we're not taught or exposed to at all.
• 9:00
Speaker 2: From that perspective, are we throughout our entire lives, um, so yeah, that was one big thing, was just the crack.
• 9:08
Speaker 2: I think it was the crack that, but it moved me, it definitely.
• 9:11
Speaker 2: I had like a reaction to that.
• 9:13
Speaker 2: I thought this is, this is um, something I need to learn more about.
• 9:18
Speaker 2: I think that as well, jess, I had always been that kind of hustle kind of girl that do more, and these are the marketing messages that I was obviously really were landing with me it's that you don't need to be doing more.
• 9:33
Speaker 2: And, yeah, I could have dialed things up and, yes, I could have been spending more on paid advertising.
• 9:37
Speaker 2: Yes, I could invest here and do this and the other.
• 9:39
Speaker 2: But what if there is another way?
• 9:41
Speaker 2: What, actually, if the most powerful tool that you have got is you, and it doesn't need to all be about the next metric, the next KPI, the next thing that we're doing that looks incredible on Instagram?
• 9:57
Speaker 2: What about if we just try and bring ourselves in line with the version of ourselves that we want to be?
• 10:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think there was just a culmination of a number of different things that I was very ready to hear at the time.
• 10:14
Speaker 1: And I think so many women in business are feeling that they're maxed in terms of their time.
• 10:19
Speaker 1: They are doing the most in their business and they don't really want to try anything new.
• 10:25
Speaker 1: They don't want a new strategy.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: They don't want to be posting more, they don't want to be pouring in more.
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: They're already maxed.
• 10:29
Speaker 1: So I love that you've just mentioned shifting you means you don't have to worry about shifting anything else out there, because usually, as I've mentioned, your offer doesn't need fixing, your marketing doesn't need fixing, you don't need to run more ads, you don't need to do anything more.
• 10:42
Speaker 1: It's just making that shift within yourself.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: And you went on from having $5,000 months to a 36K revenue month inside the academy by doing that exact thing, by shifting yourself.
• 10:57
Speaker 1: And you did obviously launch your business coaching, which we'll talk about in a second.
• 11:02
Speaker 1: But you launched one new offer.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: Your marketing remained the same.
• 11:06
Speaker 1: You already had the social media.
• 11:09
Speaker 1: You were already doing the same things that you were doing to grow Sober, flourish.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: The only shift was within you.
• 11:15
Speaker 1: So I'd love you mentioned just there that you knew you had to work on your money mindset.
• 11:20
Speaker 1: What was your money mindset like before the academy and what did that flesh out for you.
• 11:25
Speaker 1: What have you been able to fix inside the academy?
• 11:28
Speaker 2: I think it's the, it's the fear, it's a fear, and I think you've shared many times, haven't you, that the most unexpected fear is the fear of success, of actually achieving your goals.
• 11:43
Speaker 2: And what does that look like?
• 11:44
Speaker 2: Because it sends our nervous system into absolute carnage, meltdown when we think about it, because we just it just wants to keep us safe.
• 11:53
Speaker 2: Right, if we can't, if we can't foresee or predict the outcome, we're in haywire.
• 12:00
Speaker 1: Well, you've hit the nail on the head.
• 12:02
  Speaker 1: It's very true.
• 12:02
Speaker 1: Consciously we want more money, Consciously we want to increase the income.
• 12:05
Speaker 1: But yeah, as you've mentioned, the subconscious, if it's not familiar with that income level, it simply won't feel safe and therefore there will be that block.
• 12:13
Speaker 1: So you obviously felt like you had that block, had you tried to increase your income prior to coming into the academy, and it wasn't working.
• 12:29
Speaker 2: Or was the academy the place where you realized, oh shit, I can actually make a lot more money than what I am.
• 12:31
  Speaker 2: Let's go.
• 12:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that might have been it.
• 12:32
Speaker 2: I think because I'd always had this sort of goal in mind that if I can replace what I'm earning in the corporate world, then Sober Flourish is going to work.
• 12:38
Speaker 2: Sober Flourish is going to be fine because we can.
• 12:40
Speaker 2: We can afford to pay for everything we can pay for now and live the life that we live, and we're comfy and we're happy.
• 12:45
Speaker 2: So it was almost that.
• 12:47
Speaker 2: Oh, actually, this doesn't have to be the ceiling, but how the fuck do I get to the next one and what does that feel like and what does she look like now?
• 12:58
Speaker 2: This, that kind of visualization of the future version of myself, is something I had to adopt back in 2022.
• 13:04
Speaker 2: I was six stone overweight, I was heavily binge drinking at a weekend and even when I wasn't drinking, I was thinking about couldn't wait for a glass of wine, can't wait for the day when it's okay to have a glass of wine, because it's just what I wanted to do.
• 13:15
Speaker 2: So I had to really, really dig deep into that future version of myself that didn't drink anymore, that had lost the weight, that was fit, that was more present with the kids, and this whole barrage of things I wanted for me, um, and I've.
• 13:28
Speaker 2: I had to do exactly the same thing when it came to get into this next level in business, because it was something that wasn't familiar.
• 13:36
Speaker 2: I didn't have any experience or any evidence of being able to do it before, which is the scary shit, right, um, but I had to really hold on to that throughout the whole um time in the academy and still now in in her empire, because the next part where I'm at now is again it's a different level again, um, but yeah, it's been that, visualizing that, that version of me, and trying to then do all the legwork, all the actions that she would take and making them familiar, uncomfortable.
• 14:02
Speaker 1: Yeah, which you absolutely did.
• 14:03
Speaker 1: You came into the Academy with just your 100 Days to Flourish program, which is obviously helping women become alcohol free, which is a monthly program which I know you've made some changes.
• 14:14
Speaker 1: And then you came into the Academy and we had a one-on-one coaching session earlier on and we sat down and spoke about your tiny, tiny, tiny little niggle to jump into the coaching space.
• 14:24
Speaker 1: And I remember you sitting there almost like whispering this idea that you wanted to be in the coaching space.
• 14:31
Speaker 1: You knew you had so much value to bring.
• 14:34
Speaker 1: You knew you could get these women results.
• 14:36
Speaker 1: But there was this other block there of fully stepping into that next part in business and owning this space and actually being a leader in a very new space.
• 14:46
Speaker 1: So I love to unpack that.
• 14:49
Speaker 1: Where were you at, you know, just prior to that coaching call?
• 14:53
Speaker 1: You very quickly launched that and it ended up being a sold out offer.
• 14:56
Speaker 1: But, yeah, tell us more about that because, again, I'm so sure there are women listening to this who do have a niggle that they want to either launch a new offer or they want to take up more space in their industry or just be louder online or, you know, within their industry Again.
• 15:13
Speaker 1: Talk to them Like what were you feeling when you knew the idea was sitting there, but just kind of questioning if you could make it work?
• 15:20
Speaker 2: Well, I think again the fear comes up, the fear of oh my goodness, is this something for me?
• 15:25
Speaker 2: Is this something that I can do?
• 15:26
Speaker 2: And I knew, I knew deep down, that it made complete sense for me because I was taking my experience of all of these years of doing this for small businesses and then applying it to a new area of expertise and something that I could demonstrate doing myself.
• 15:44
Speaker 2: So the business coaching that I specialize in is for alcohol-free coaches in the sober space.
• 15:50
Speaker 2: So I qualified to become an alcohol-free coach and I do one-to-one coaching as well as my 100-day programs etc.
• 15:57
Speaker 2: But I wanted to be able to show other women.
• 15:59
Speaker 2: I thought, how can I make this different, something that's going to make me stand out and feel comfortable in this space, rather than just kind of dropping in as another business coach what's going to make me stand out?
• 16:09
Speaker 2: And it was where can I build trust really, really quickly in this as well?
• 16:15
Speaker 2: Um, as well as sort of saying I have the expertise or the experience, how can I demonstrate that?
• 16:20
Speaker 2: Well, I've just done this with my own business over the course of the last couple of years.
• 16:24
Speaker 2: So it made perfect sense for me to bring all of this experience, wrap it up with something that I've more recently gained experience and a lot of traction with and made a very profitable business from, and do this for sober coaches.
• 16:37
Speaker 2: So that was a bit of a whisper, but you gave me the confidence and the the validation that this was possible because I'd done a little bit.
• 16:45
Speaker 2: But it was never targeted towards sober coaches, it was just I can help you with your business.
• 16:49
Speaker 2: So I can help you bring your business idea to life, because that's again it's just what I kind of did, but previously in previous mentorships it's very it has felt kind of cookie cutter approach and that is something I don't believe in and I know that's something you don't believe in and it was that you will bring this business to life but on your terms.
• 17:09
Speaker 2: You get to create what this looks like.
• 17:11
Speaker 2: I could literally bore your audience to tears for how much I have gained out of the academy, how much I got out of the academy, which I did not expect because it is a lower price point and I've paid more than that for big mentorships and not gained as much in a course of eight months than I got in those even the first call we had Jess, and that's not me blowing smoke up your ass, I'm being genuine.
• 17:33
Speaker 2: That is me being genuine.
• 17:35
Speaker 2: And it was that permission to like you know what?
• 17:38
Speaker 2: What does the future version of you look like?
• 17:40
Speaker 2: And I've got it here in this book.
• 17:42
Speaker 2: Here I can remember I was watching something else in self-development, but listening to your podcast at the same time.
• 17:47
Speaker 2: I don't know what was going on, but I was writing it down of like, what are the actions that the future version of you that is earning that revenue, that is achieving those goals, that's living in that visualization, what are the actions that she takes?
• 17:59
Speaker 2: She has an within about six hours.
• 18:08
Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, it's fine, that scarcity mindset that I'll just, it's fine, I'll, I'll take everybody that kind of comes in and this isn't going to last and I need to take what I can whilst I've got it because potentially I'm going to lose it at some point.
• 18:20
Speaker 2: And I looked at my diary and I was like, no, the future version of me that is in this business, full-time on my own, only does client calls on a Tuesday and a Thursday.
• 18:28
Speaker 2: This is for content planning.
• 18:34
Speaker 2: And it was that ability to it was that permission to create the business that I wanted gave me.
• 18:36
Speaker 2: They gave me that sort of um, that green light to yeah, you can be a business coach as well as this over here, you can have it all it's okay.
• 18:44
Speaker 2: We just need to learn how to how to manage that and how to feel comfortable with it.
• 18:48
Speaker 1: Yes, and you've just brought something out that everybody needs to hear.
• 18:52
Speaker 1: You get to choose what success looks like for you and you get to run your own race.
• 18:57
Speaker 1: If you're seeing other people in your industry do it one way and that's not sitting well for you, you get to do it a completely different way and Jodie and I both give you full permission to go and find that and run with it and know that when you do run your business from that way, it will work because you feel good, it excites you and it's actually being created by you.
• 19:18
Speaker 1: It's business is supposed to be an extension of us.
• 19:21
Speaker 1: And, yeah, we don't have to be available for everyone.
• 19:26
Speaker 1: We don't have to be on the clock 24 seven, which is a nice reminder to hear because, again, a lot of a big reason why women hold back in their business is that fear of overwhelm, stress, losing their time especially the listeners here.
• 19:41
Speaker 1: They want freedom, they want to spend time with their family, they want to travel.
• 19:44
Speaker 1: So when they're looking at a business that looks like it's going to just take over their life, why would they want to do that?
• 19:50
Speaker 1: But, again, like, you've redefined how you wanted your business to look and you made it fit into your life and it was still a huge success.
• 19:58
Speaker 1: So you launched your one-on-one business coaching in April and you sold out, you sold out.
• 20:04
Speaker 1: How many spots did you sell out?
• 20:06
  Speaker 2: five.
• 20:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, the goal was four, and then there was five, five ideal clients, yeah, so, yeah, and I had again that, had that, that fear came up that, oh my god, you're going to be coaching every day and and and what goes around, that then you've got the support, etc.
• 20:20
Speaker 2: I was like, no, that's, you get to decide that you have those clients, but they still do the Tuesday and still do the Thursday.
• 20:25
Speaker 2: Obviously, it's flexible if that doesn't work, but that's the premise that we set out, so you get to create that.
• 20:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I sold it out and, as you know, I was thinking what the hell?
• 20:38
Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness, this is incredible, that much so that I've completely had to embrace somatic energy shifting tactics to kind of normalize that new level in business.
• 20:51
Speaker 2: And, yeah, it was incredible.
• 20:51
  Speaker 2: Yeah, which then?
• 20:52
  Speaker 2: In business?
• 20:52
Speaker 1: And yeah, it was incredible, yeah, which then became the new edge for you it was now longer about creating this new offer, creating this next level of success.
• 21:01
Speaker 1: It was now holding onto it and, what I love like we've only been working together since April and you've gone through all of that in such a short amount of time the phase where you learn how to create more money by, you know, priming the brain to get comfortable receiving money, and then you had a 36k revenue month.
• 21:20
Speaker 1: So then the new work was oh shit.
• 21:23
Speaker 1: Now I have to hold on to this and work through those fears that this was just a fluke.
• 21:28
Speaker 1: This won't happen again.
• 21:29
Speaker 1: You know that was just a random good month, just a fluke.
• 21:34
Speaker 1: This won't happen again.
• 21:35
Speaker 1: You know that was just a random good month, which obviously we got to work on.
• 21:36
Speaker 1: But yeah, tell us about that new edge, that feeling where you just had the biggest month in business, a massive, massive, massive month and I remember you saying I feel weird, like I feel really weird.
• 21:47
Speaker 1: Like what is this?
• 21:48
Speaker 2: feeling, yeah, it was totally new.
• 21:51
  Speaker 2: I mean.
• 21:52
Speaker 2: I mean, god, we're not talking millions, but for such a difference.
• 21:56
Speaker 2: So in the UK pounds it was 5k per month is what I was.
• 21:59
Speaker 2: I was turning over, and then that jump in UK was selling that out.
• 22:05
Speaker 2: That particular offer made it 12 and a half grand launch, which is just ridiculous.
• 22:10
Speaker 2: It's ridiculous when your goal was only ever really to kind of claw back that take-home money from your corporate salary.
• 22:17
Speaker 2: So that new edge for me, again, it's not, it's not millions, but it was so new, so so new.
• 22:24
Speaker 2: Um, it felt uncomfortable, it felt like it wasn't mine still and that made me panic and I know I've heard you talk about this before that kind of that shortness of breath and I was trying to go out for walks and try and kind of calm myself down a little bit because I knew that this was for me and I knew that I could do it.
• 22:43
  Speaker 2: It wasn't a surprise.
• 22:44
Speaker 2: But still, when it landed, it was almost like this wasn't happening to me because, whether it's delusional or not, it that I knew now that I had just unlocked a new layer, and I know how you say it that isn't out my minimum standard.
• 22:59
Speaker 2: So we're, it's almost that launch there, but also all the emotions of the future too.
• 23:05
Speaker 2: Oh my, this is the beginning.
• 23:07
Speaker 2: All layers in, like you've just fucking done it.
• 23:10
Speaker 2: You actually did it.
• 23:11
Speaker 2: You had that belief in yourself.
• 23:12
Speaker 2: You've done it now.
• 23:15
Speaker 2: Now it's time to be scared shitless about what you're capable of, and that's how I felt.
• 23:20
Speaker 1: That is genuinely how I felt, yeah, and what I'm like, what played out was that contrast between you consciously knowing you've got this, you can deliver on the material, you can hold this space, you can lead, lead these women.
• 23:32
  Speaker 1: This makes sense.
• 23:32
Speaker 1: Of course it was a sold-out launch, but on the other end, your subconscious, your body, was screaming.
• 23:38
Speaker 1: It was like what have you just done?
• 23:40
Speaker 1: Like this amount of money is so unfamiliar for us.
• 23:43
Speaker 1: We have not seen this amount of money come through the business before.
• 23:47
Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
• 23:48
Speaker 1: And that's what that uneasy feeling was in the body.
• 23:54
Speaker 1: And congratulations to you for making sure you were in a space like the Academy and then you've come onto her empire.
• 23:58
Speaker 1: And this is why masterminds and programs are so important to hold you up during that phase, because I did not do that when I was having these huge months in my business and, just like you, the business was growing really, really fast At that point.
• 24:11
Speaker 1: I was in this phase where I was having these huge months in my business and, just like you, the business was growing really, really fast At that point.
• 24:15
Speaker 1: I was in this phase where I was taking a break from coaching and just implementing things that I had previously learned, not realizing the business was about to absolutely skyrocket and so the money was coming in.
• 24:23
Speaker 1: But I felt, just as you've explained, so uneasy, so wobbly, and I didn't have the coach there to hold me up and it was a really scary feeling where, yeah, something you've worked so hard for didn't come with the excitement and the joy that you thought it would.
• 24:38
Speaker 1: So I know for you we were doing a lot of like somatic work, completely Yourself, to like the facials and the massage, and you celebrate it.
• 24:46
Speaker 1: But it was also like just breathe and just show your body.
• 24:50
Speaker 1: This is safe, this amount of money is okay, it's okay to have.
• 24:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, you taught so much inside the academy, even little, tiny things like booking a celebration meal, because I knew I could do it.
• 25:00
Speaker 2: Jess, I know I'm good at what I do, and that's taken me a long time to be able to say that out loud, confidently, without thinking who the hell do you think you are?
• 25:08
Speaker 2: I know I'm good at what I do and what I deliver is is gold, and it aligns with the promise that I give.
• 25:15
  Speaker 2: Um.
• 25:16
Speaker 2: So, though, like you said, there was never any doubt that I was going to be able to do it.
• 25:20
Speaker 2: It was just getting used to that feeling at the end, but having you to support me through that process, uh, I don't think you can put a price on that.
• 25:28
Speaker 2: You genuinely, you genuinely can't.
• 25:30
Speaker 2: But little things like that.
• 25:32
Speaker 2: That, for anyone that is listening to this and that is toying with the listening to the morning meditation, maybe I'll dabble with the nighttime one.
• 25:39
Speaker 2: Maybe I'll try and focus on how my energy, my vibration, my frequency just do it, trust me, just do it, and then, if that doesn't work for you at the end, then fine.
• 25:48
Speaker 2: But what have you got to lose?
• 25:50
Speaker 2: Because I genuinely, genuinely and this is coming from a corporate girly, that is strategy, strategy crazy?
• 26:01
Speaker 2: We've got to have a plan for anything else to work mindset this, this, it works, it works, yeah, Amen.
• 26:07
Speaker 1: And I love to hear that from you because I do know this was very new.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: This world was really new.
• 26:12
Speaker 1: You were still open to it, but it was, yeah, thinking in this way.
• 26:15
Speaker 1: What you're telling me that my vibration is what influences the clients that come into my world like sounds way too woo-woo.
• 26:23
Speaker 1: But of course in the academy it's explained in the scientific way Like this is actual science, it's quantum physics.
• 26:29
Speaker 1: You create, and I'm all about the data yeah, actual science, it's quantum physics you create.
• 26:35
Speaker 1: I'm all about the data yeah, same.
• 26:36
Speaker 1: When I picked up this work and manifestation, the secret is that that's like the, the yeah yeah, I read that years and years and years ago and that wasn't the start of this journey for me, because it is quite a spiritual way to view manifestation.
• 26:48
Speaker 1: I was excited by it and it was definitely a remembering from things that I had experienced growing up.
• 26:54
Speaker 1: Like I've always just known, I had this this knowing inside that we could create things.
• 26:58
Speaker 1: But it's yeah Interesting.
• 27:00
Speaker 1: When I read the secret it didn't land.
• 27:01
Speaker 1: But then I picked up Dr Joe Dispenza's book Becoming Supernatural and that's explained from the scientific viewpoint of manifestation and it landed.
• 27:11
Speaker 2: so, yeah, when you come into the academy, it's not all spiritual and woo, woo like you learn the science no, no, and I'll be honest, jess, I was skeptical at first because I did have that well, that how, how.
• 27:24
Speaker 2: But you, you're not the sort of person that sort of says think it and it will happen, that's it, the end.
• 27:29
  Speaker 2: That's just not.
• 27:30
Speaker 2: And that, if I'm not, if I'm not incorrect, the secret got a lot of backlash initially, because that's the premise.
• 27:37
Speaker 2: That was, you just think about money just for a little while and just for a month or so, and then there'll be a check for a million pounds on their thing, and I think they have to maybe do a second version of that to sort of say oh no, you've got to do some work too.
• 27:49
Speaker 2: By the way, this doesn't just come out of nowhere.
• 27:51
Speaker 2: There needs to be a little bit of work, a little bit of a plan.
• 27:53
Speaker 2: So I was super skeptical, coming from that background.
• 27:56
Speaker 2: Again, of that I want to I mean, hustle potentially that badge of honor.
• 28:00
Speaker 2: I'm working late and I'm the last one to leave the office and grind, grind, grind.
• 28:04
Speaker 2: So when I'm then coming into a world and listening to somebody that's telling me that a big proportion of the strategy needs to be mindset, I was like, yeah, whatever, whatever, I've heard people deliver, but the way you've delivered it, the way that it kind of spoke to me and the little niggles and things that were sparking inside of me, yeah and it's just, yeah, been mind-blowing.
• 28:27
Speaker 2: That's the only way I can really explain it.
• 28:29
Speaker 1: And it's the foundational stuff that you can now carry into your 50K month, your 100k month, when this is a seven figure brand.
• 28:37
Speaker 1: You now have the tools to continue to expand your nervous system and deal with the wobbles that will come with every new level.
• 28:44
Speaker 1: It's expected for those who think they can make more money and not experience this don't understand.
• 28:49
Speaker 1: They haven't pushed the boundaries further enough.
• 28:52
Speaker 1: With every new level comes a new devil.
• 28:53
Speaker 1: It is so, so, so true, because with every new edge, the subconscious needs to catch up and the identity needs to get there.
• 28:59
Speaker 1: But when you know how to expand it and you don't have to go through a sabotage pattern before you do, it means that your business can keep growing and the income can keep moving through um.
• 29:10
Speaker 1: With that being said, you're about to launch again.
• 29:13
Speaker 1: We've made some further tweaks to what that initial program looked like.
• 29:17
Speaker 1: The one-on-one container is now a group setting, which I love that you've done that.
• 29:22
Speaker 1: You did the one-on-one thing.
• 29:24
Speaker 1: You listened to your gut.
• 29:25
Speaker 1: You're like wait, I think I wanted to live on this slightly different.
• 29:28
Speaker 1: You also felt there was a missing piece to the one-on-one element that you can provide in the in the program, and you took a punt, and now you're going into the next launch, which I just love that about you.
• 29:38
Speaker 1: You are listening to those little niggles and just acting accordingly, instead of looking around to see if anyone else is doing it.
• 29:45
Speaker 2: I think that, again, more lessons that have kind of come out of the academy around the clients I'm working with now is learning how to speech them properly and the energy that you show up in when you're posting.
• 29:57
Speaker 2: So overflourish has very much been a post every day.
• 30:00
Speaker 2: It's just something I always did for accountability.
• 30:02
Speaker 2: There was never really any strategy behind that until that became a business um, whereas with the, the business coaching instagram side of things I want to be really mindful about when I'm putting things out there and the sort of energy and that has attracted some incredible women that I've worked with one-to-one.
• 30:19
Speaker 2: It has just been, it's been gorgeous.
• 30:21
Speaker 2: We're only halfway through now, but it's been gorgeous and it hasn't been an effort to work with them either.
• 30:27
Speaker 2: It's just delivering my knowledge, sharing my energy and just look at and I use the word flourish far too much now.
• 30:34
Speaker 2: I never used to use it at all, but seeing them flourish has just been gorgeous.
• 30:39
Speaker 2: But I've realized that and this stems back to one of the reasons why I kind of felt called to serve in this space is when I was doing my qualification for my positive psychology, for my coaching side of things.
• 30:52
Speaker 2: The majority of people that were going through that process, didn't have a clue of how to bring this business to life.
• 30:57
Speaker 2: So they had done all the work, they'd gone through the process themselves, they'd become alcohol free, they'd had this huge life changing experience.
• 31:03
Speaker 2: They'd gone through this.
• 31:04
Speaker 2: I've now found my purpose, but what the fuck do I do with it and how do I kind of bring that to life?
• 31:09
Speaker 2: So, again, that's where this came from to focus more on sober coaches.
• 31:18
Speaker 2: But in the way that I'm set up at the moment with Flourish and Align, the amount of people I can help is very limited.
• 31:23
Speaker 2: And if I bring this into a group program, which is what the Flourish Collective is, I can potentially double that amount of people to help, at the same time, um, but equally keeping it small, as I do see a lot of people um, kind of do these big, huge communities and call it a group program and have it as like a premium or a high touch program, but there's like 100 people in there, whereas I really want to be able to make the most of the one-on-one time, like you did with me in the academy and like you do in her empire as well.
• 31:55
Speaker 2: I want that time to be gold.
• 31:57
Speaker 2: And if I'm serving too many people.
• 32:00
Speaker 2: How do you do that?
• 32:01
Speaker 2: And if you're and I know you are like me you don't just have that call and then go off about your day.
• 32:06
  Speaker 2: You're invested.
• 32:07
Speaker 2: You're invested in that journey for that person, um, throughout their, throughout their launch, throughout their program, through whatever they need to be supported with from that call.
• 32:16
Speaker 2: You're thinking about it, checking in with them, making suggestions, etc.
• 32:21
Speaker 1: You can't do that if you're too big yeah, yeah, and I agree because I know you're really calling in those premium clients, which is, again, it's a huge testament to the mindset, work that you have done and the frequency that you're showing up in.
• 32:35
Speaker 1: You have positioned yourself as a leader for these premium clients.
• 32:39
Speaker 1: So, again, we should have mentioned that not only did Jodie sell out her first one-on-one coaching offer, but it's full of her dream clients, ideal clients, and she actually overfilled the spaces.
• 32:50
Speaker 1: But, again, it's because you've been able to position yourself in that way.
• 32:54
Speaker 1: However, where I was going with that is, yeah, these premium clients, they want real connection, they want depth, they want to be in the room with someone so they can actually have a real conversation and not just be a number.
• 33:05
Speaker 1: I completely agree with that, which is obviously why the Academy is set up in that way, because, yeah, like the courses, the books, the podcasts, they don't work for a reason.
• 33:15
Speaker 1: You actually need to just get in a room with a real person and pick their brain, like that's where the golden nuggets are.
• 33:21
Speaker 1: And that bespoken element means which I know you've got in yours it means that you can, they can be alongside you for all of those milestones, for all of the wobbles, for all of the new ideas, like they're there alongside you for that whole thing, which has been a game changer in my own business, which is why I think it's so important to have that style of coaching.
• 33:41
Speaker 1: So, yeah, I know your clients are already experiencing insane results, and to think this is just the start of what's to come is very exciting.
• 33:50
Speaker 2: There's just something that kind of just dropped in for me then was around that kind of that money mindset.
• 33:57
Speaker 2: There's two things that I kind of missed out right at the beginning.
• 34:00
Speaker 2: When you're talking about what was your money mindset and it was that kind of language around that.
• 34:05
Speaker 2: I've shared this to you before.
• 34:07
Speaker 2: I grew up in a family and my dad was a police officer.
• 34:10
Speaker 2: One of the things that was very commonly said in our house, if you've got money, it meant you're a drug dealer so there was a lot obviously the normal things is, money doesn't grow on trees etc.
• 34:22
Speaker 2: But I was deep rooted in me massive we didn't have anything when I grew up.
• 34:26
Speaker 2: It was deep rooted in me and a lot of the things you kind of called out, but more more more recently and I hear people talk about this, a lot is that mindset that was more this is more of a mature mindset for me was that you can't invest until you're earning the money.
• 34:43
Speaker 2: And that's the biggest lot of bollocks I've ever heard.
• 34:44
Speaker 2: How are you going to grow until you invest?
• 34:49
Speaker 2: I mean, don't get me wrong, if you haven't got the money to invest, that's a lot harder.
• 34:51
Speaker 2: But if you don't make a bet on yourself and you don't invest in the mentorship to learn the skills, how do you expect to get to the next stage in business?
• 34:59
Speaker 2: It just kind of came to me there, so I just wanted to share that because I didn't want to leave this without mentioning it, because a lot of people do that.
• 35:04
Speaker 2: They have that resistance that, oh, it feels like a lot of money and I went I've got to wait till I'm earning extra, extra money before I invest in mentorship.
• 35:12
Speaker 2: Well, look, let this be a lesson that if you don't invest in mentorship, how are you going to get to the next level?
• 35:18
Speaker 1: Because if you were going to get to the next level on your own news breaking, you would already be there, right, literally, and price is a portal the moment and this is not just to say this, because we're in the coaching space and everybody's saying this, but when you invest, you truly do increase your frequency to earn more money.
• 35:35
Speaker 1: You spend money and, and you raise your frequency, more money will drop in.
• 35:41
Speaker 1: And again your story you came into the academy.
• 35:44
Speaker 1: You increase the revenue.
• 35:45
Speaker 1: You then, during the academy, applied and got into her empire and made back your her empire investment within the week of applying.
• 35:53
Speaker 1: And that is no coincidence.
• 35:55
Speaker 1: It's when you again, you make these higher financial decisions.
• 35:59
Speaker 1: You're now in that, but that frequency and clients and more money will find you because you're up there.
• 36:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's every single time I've invested, I've increased my income, you've done the same and it's so, so, so true.
• 36:11
Speaker 1: And, as you mentioned, you've got to see yourself in these spaces.
• 36:15
Speaker 1: Like, if, like I know so many people who listen to this podcast are so good at what they do, they have so much to offer this world, get yourself into these spaces where you can really perfect the way to sell your offer, get your premium clients to pay you well, like, yeah, there is so much potential there.
• 36:32
Speaker 1: You've just got to learn how to activate that potential which these spaces do.
• 36:38
Speaker 1: So I love that you've also mentioned that.
• 36:39
Speaker 1: Well, to wrap us up, what's next for?
• 36:49
  Speaker 2: you.
• 36:49
Speaker 2: What is next for you?
• 36:49
Speaker 2: Like you've already done so much, what's coming your way?
• 36:50
Speaker 2: Okay, so I've got literally just launched the wait list for my group program, which is the Flourish Collective for sober coaches, and, as I shared in Hero Empire this morning, I've had this sudden realization as well that this is going to coincide with the school summer holidays, so energy protection is going to have to be at its finest, I think, throughout the next period.
• 37:08
Speaker 2: But no, I'm in my launch period for that, which I am really looking forward to, and that starts on the 2nd of September.
• 37:14
Speaker 2: And then, obviously, I have my Sober Flourish business as well.
• 37:18
Speaker 2: So it's about, for me, community meetups and making sure that I spend a lot of time every other month meeting with the members in there.
• 37:25
Speaker 2: And yeah, there's a lot, jess, there's a lot, but it's just making sure that I'm spending my energy in the right areas, I think at the minute.
• 37:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, I love this so much.
• 37:34
Speaker 1: Well, since this is your area of expertise and I am trying to not drink- I can't believe you didn't tell me.
• 37:43
Speaker 1: I literally completely forgot and I have been meaning all week.
• 37:46
Speaker 1: Well, this morning I was actually going to send you a voice message in her empire and say give me your non-alcoholic alcohol options.
• 37:53
Speaker 1: But of course you're in the UK, so what you have over there we probably don't.
• 37:57
Speaker 1: Because I did attempt this a few months ago, because I love a wine, as you guys know, but I don't care if there's alcohol in it.
• 38:05
Speaker 1: I don't necessarily drink to get drunk Like.
• 38:07
Speaker 1: I would love to be able to have a couple of wines and not have the impact of alcohol.
• 38:11
Speaker 1: But the wines that I tried the red wine was disgusting.
• 38:14
Speaker 1: It was so sweet and gross.
• 38:16
  Speaker 1: I've heard I don't mind a beer, so I've heard the non-alcoholic beers aren't too bad.
• 38:20
Speaker 1: Um, the champagne, mate.
• 38:22
Speaker 1: But yeah, if I can find, if you're listening to this and you're in Australia, if there is a good non-alcoholic red wine, send it my way so, um, red wine, good luck with that trying.
• 38:34
Speaker 2: I was very much the type of person that would drink red wine, but it had to be like, full-bodied.
• 38:39
Speaker 2: I needed to feel like I was having a meal.
• 38:40
Speaker 2: When I had it, I loved it, absolutely never denied.
• 38:43
Speaker 2: Same with smoking I used to be a smoker.
• 38:44
Speaker 2: Bloody, loved a fag.
• 38:45
Speaker 2: Bloody loved a wine.
• 38:46
Speaker 2: I'll never say that I didn't enjoy it, but I loved a red wine.
• 38:49
Speaker 2: It had to be strong.
• 38:50
Speaker 2: So trying to replicate that it's hard.
• 38:53
Speaker 2: If and I know you drink the same wine as me because I see it, the penfolds it's like that good, good wine.
• 38:58
Speaker 2: Um, if you were kind of like a ryoka drinker, then you will have no problem because they all taste very like.
• 39:04
Speaker 2: Just listen, there's not a lot of substance.
• 39:06
Speaker 2: People that are listening.
• 39:07
Speaker 2: If you know a decent red wine, please send it my way, because my community are always asking can you recommend one?
• 39:13
Speaker 2: However, interestingly, I know you like a fizz as well.
• 39:16
Speaker 2: I partner with a company, um, that's an italian company, but they don't struggle to ship to australia.
• 39:23
Speaker 2: It's called prima pavé I'll send you a link, and that is probably one of the best fizzes that I've found.
• 39:28
Speaker 2: It's still about 30 quid in in English.
• 39:30
Speaker 2: So what is that about?
• 39:31
Speaker 2: 60 dollars for you?
• 39:32
Speaker 2: Um, which probably sounds quite quite a bit, but it's you.
• 39:35
Speaker 2: What would you spend on champagne?
