- 0:02Speaker 1: A lot of times, some of you that listen to
- 0:05Speaker 1: the show take it one step further and mail us things, right?
- 0:08Speaker 1: We love getting surprise mail at the show. We always
- 0:12Speaker 1: like to open it on the show, put it online,
- 0:14Speaker 1: show everybody what we get. Today's a little different, though.
- 0:20Speaker 1: This may be the first ever Mikey and Bob gift exchange.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Because you came in here this morning.
- 0:27Speaker 2: You're like, I got something for you.
- 0:29Speaker 1: And I'm like, there's no way that you have something
- 0:32Speaker 1: for me because I have something for you.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Something special. All right.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Now, how do you want to do this? Because my
- 0:38Speaker 1: gift for you is from this summer. And I forgot
- 0:42Speaker 1: to give it to you. From the summer?
- 0:44Speaker 2: Yeah, from the summertime.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Remember when we were talking about your fridge?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 1: You got a new refrigerator months and months ago, like
- 0:52Speaker 1: in the summer. And you were excited. Taking magnets?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you were excited because you could put fridge magnets
- 0:58Speaker 2: on it. Yeah, yeah.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Well, when my family was on vacation in Ocean City,
- 1:02Speaker 1: New Jersey, of course, there's lots of magnets.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I just happened to get you an Ocean City, New
- 1:07Speaker 2: Jersey turtle magnet. That's right, bud. That's a touristy magnet
- 1:12Speaker 2: right there.
- 1:13Speaker 1: That's a turtle. Yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Going right on the fridge. There you go. I like it.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Well, you know the turtle mating noises, so might as
- 1:19Speaker 1: well have a turtle on the fridge. Now, what do
- 1:22Speaker 1: you got for me?
- 1:23Speaker 4: Wiz Khalifa mailed me something to my house. Something that
- 1:29Speaker 4: I don't need necessarily, but it's a nice gift, and
- 1:34Speaker 4: I figured I could pass it along to you.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Okay, here you go. It's a green box.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Okay, well, I guess I'm kind of re-gifting it to you. Yeah,
- 1:43Speaker 4: I get it from Wiz Khalifa. I got sent one
- 1:46Speaker 4: of these boxes, too. Okay, it's a special day. I
- 1:49Speaker 4: don't think we can talk about the box, though. It's
- 1:52Speaker 4: not weed, okay? I'll just tell you, it's not weed.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It's not weed, okay?
- 1:56Speaker 1: Okay, everybody, it's not weed. Bad to work. All right,
- 2:00Speaker 1: we're not bringing weed to work. It's not weed, okay?
- 2:05Speaker 1: This is a lot better than a turtle magnet, though,
- 2:07Speaker 1: I'll tell you that much. I thought you'd be excited. Wow,
- 2:10Speaker 1: they're whiz-sized, too?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. That's what it says. Yeah, well, I mean,
- 2:15Speaker 2: I act like I'm shocked. I'm not shocked.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I already got a box sent to my house, too.
- 2:19Speaker 2: All right, well, double dom.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That's what happens when you got a buddy that doesn't smoke. Hey,
- 2:24Speaker 1: enjoy your turtle magnet. You're not going to enjoy it
- 2:26Speaker 1: as much as I am with the green box you
- 2:30Speaker 1: just gave me from Wiz Khalifa that was sent to
- 2:32Speaker 1: your house. 96.1. Kiss. Plans are still on for those
- 2:39Speaker 1: Steelers to take on the Saints this weekend over in Paris.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS. NFL executive
- 2:46Speaker 1: Peter O'Reilly said yesterday League is coordinating with the U.S.
- 2:49Speaker 1: State Department and authorities overseas to make sure everything is
- 2:53Speaker 1: good for this season. This Steelers-Saints game over in Paris,
- 2:57Speaker 1: you know, it's first game over there. And there's some
- 3:00Speaker 1: civil unrest happening in Paris. They're protesting the rising living
- 3:04Speaker 1: costs and declining public services. You know, this started with
- 3:08Speaker 1: a group of students that were protesting, you know, that
- 3:11Speaker 1: the school didn't have enough teachers and stuff. Stuff that
- 3:14Speaker 1: we deal with here in America, too. We just don't
- 3:16Speaker 1: take to the street quite like the French do. They
- 3:19Speaker 1: just burn things down. Yeah, well, during the day, they're
- 3:22Speaker 1: nice protesters, but Then at night, some things happen. But
- 3:25Speaker 1: then again, protests aren't supposed to be nice and cordial.
- 3:29Speaker 2: That's why they're protests, because go crack a few eggs
- 3:33Speaker 2: to make an omelet, you know, whatever.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Did you know what the wildest thing, well, it wasn't
- 3:38Speaker 4: the wildest thing. There was much wilder things happening in
- 3:40Speaker 4: those protests, but they were letting like the emergency vehicles
- 3:43Speaker 4: through and like everybody was cheering them on.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's during the day. Yeah, at night it gets wild. Well, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Nights when the things get burned and things like that.
- 3:50Speaker 2: But yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Um, they're still going to play the game. They're still
- 3:54Speaker 1: going to go on with it and everything. Um, the
- 3:57Speaker 1: NFL executive Peter O'Reilly said, we feel confident that we
- 4:00Speaker 1: won't be depleting resources in a negative way around the game.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Saints are already there. Steelers fly over on Thursday.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Cause that's one thing I didn't think about either is
- 4:09Speaker 1: like you have emergency response vehicles, you have police, you know,
- 4:14Speaker 1: you have EMS that will also need to be working
- 4:18Speaker 1: the game, but aren't they a little busy with, you know,
- 4:22Speaker 1: the rioting and the protesting. So it would seem like
- 4:26Speaker 1: that would take away some of the resource.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I don't know. They say they got it. I don't
- 4:31Speaker 2: live in Paris.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I don't really know what exactly is going on, how
- 4:35Speaker 1: bad it is in Paris.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I did see the U.S.
- 4:37Speaker 4: State Department raised it to a level two travel warning
- 4:41Speaker 4: to go over there yesterday.
- 4:43Speaker 1: All right.
- 4:44Speaker 2: It just says increase caution levels.
- 4:46Speaker 1: It just seems, if I'm going on family vacation and
- 4:49Speaker 1: there's a level two travel warning, I'm just saying, guess what?
- 4:52Speaker 4: We're not going there on vacation. Yeah, let's pick some
- 4:55Speaker 4: place for the beach.
- 4:56Speaker 1: All right, hold on. Let's go to our buddy George here.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Talkback messages on the show brought to us by One
- 5:01Speaker 1: Team Media.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Hi, what's going on, fellow? George here. Still catching up
- 5:04Speaker 2: on Tuesday morning's podcast.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Talking about the Steelers playing the Saints over in Paris.
- 5:09Speaker 1: If the Steelers are flying over on Thursday, does that
- 5:12Speaker 1: mean they're going to be cranking it hard in Paris? Hey, man.
- 5:15Speaker 1: All right, y'all take it easy.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Listen, George.
- 5:17Speaker 1: All right. Mike McCarthy previously has said about Thursday.
- 5:21Speaker 2: We crank it pretty hard Thursday night. All right.
- 5:24Speaker 4: So Thursday night, it's an eight-hour flight. It might be
- 5:28Speaker 4: mile-high cranking.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Whole team. Together.
- 5:33Speaker 4: I mean, McCarthy said Thursday night, though. This might be night.
- 5:36Speaker 4: It's an eight-hour flight. It's an eight-hour.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Flight over there. We crank it pretty hard Thursday night.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Or maybe when they land, first thing they do to
- 5:44Speaker 1: go to the hotel, everybody crank it.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Everybody get to their rooms. You know what time it is. Wee, wee.
- 5:50Speaker 2: They'll make sure to crank it. They'll make sure to
- 5:52Speaker 2: crank it. Everybody, we need to do it. We need
- 5:58Speaker 2: to do it. Lock in and make sure you crank it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You ever cranked it in a foreign country before? Well,
- 6:02Speaker 2: now's your chance. Hey, what the hell was up with
- 6:05Speaker 2: the Penguins yesterday?
- 6:07Speaker 1: Statement out of nowhere about 19-year-old Ben Kendall having to
- 6:11Speaker 1: be hospitalized in the plane, having to make like a
- 6:14Speaker 1: landing after Utah to get him to a hospital. We'll
- 6:17Speaker 1: give you all the details. We know about that coming
- 6:18Speaker 1: up next around 625. Got a chance for you to
- 6:21Speaker 1: win $ 1, 000 this morning around 910. It's Mikey and Bob.
- 6:23Speaker 5: 96.1 KISS.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Woo!
- 6:25Speaker 2: The Mikey and Bob Podcast.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Hi, good morning.
- 6:28Speaker 2: How are you guys? You know, if we're.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Being honest, that's exactly how we're doing.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Whatever noise just came out of my mouth is how
- 6:37Speaker 2: we're doing.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Stream the Mikey and Bob Podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever
- 6:41Speaker 5: you get your podcasts.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Chilly out again this morning, but we warm up. Should
- 6:47Speaker 1: be a nice fall day with some sun. Highs in
- 6:49Speaker 1: the upper 60s. This is the sweet spot. Big man weather, right, Bob?
- 6:53Speaker 1: This is what you wait for, right?
- 6:55Speaker 4: Dude, I saw there's not supposed to be rain for
- 6:57Speaker 4: like a week.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yeah, we got some. We're on a run here. Yeah,
- 6:59Speaker 2: a little dry fall run here. We're on a run.
- 7:02Speaker 1: It is Mikey and Bob on 96.1 KISS. Man, some
- 7:05Speaker 1: scary news from the Penguins yesterday. 19-year-old forward Ben Kindle
- 7:10Speaker 1: had to be hospitalized in Utah. um he was hospitalized
- 7:16Speaker 1: after experiencing what uh was just called a medical episode
- 7:21Speaker 1: we don't know what happened yet.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Right they were in the air though and they'd turn
- 7:24Speaker 2: back around yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Returned to salt lake city uh international airport shortly after
- 7:29Speaker 1: takeoff uh medical staffers on board were able to attend
- 7:33Speaker 1: to ben kindle again he's he's young he's like a
- 7:36Speaker 1: baby on the team he's 19 years old and uh Again,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I don't want to speculate what happened or anything like
- 7:43Speaker 1: that until the team comes out with a statement. But
- 7:46Speaker 1: he was transferred to the University of Utah Hospital for
- 7:49Speaker 1: further evaluation. And he was conscious, alert, and in stable condition.
- 7:54Speaker 1: So they said the team will provide further updates when
- 7:57Speaker 1: it's appropriate. So, you know, you just hope for the best.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You hope it's not that serious. You hope it was
- 8:03Speaker 1: just like an episode where they know exactly why it happened.
- 8:06Speaker 1: They know exactly what went wrong. Possibly how to treat
- 8:10Speaker 1: it if there is some sort of a treatment plan,
- 8:12Speaker 1: but just hope the guy's okay.
- 8:14Speaker 4: It's scarier than when you see a statement just come
- 8:16Speaker 4: out from the pens like that, you know?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yeah, when I saw it, I was sort of online
- 8:21Speaker 1: when they posted it, and I'm like, it's never good
- 8:24Speaker 1: when you see, you know, one of your favorite teams
- 8:28Speaker 1: post a statement that is just like all text and
- 8:32Speaker 1: professional looking ass.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Something's gone wrong.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Ben Kendall obviously is undergoing more tests and evaluation. Hopefully,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you want him back as a hockey player, but also
- 8:47Speaker 1: you just care about him as a person and hope
- 8:49Speaker 1: everything is okay and this isn't too big of an episode. Obviously,
- 8:54Speaker 1: not only scary for Ben Kendall, it's got to be
- 8:56Speaker 1: scary for everybody that was on the team plane to
- 8:59Speaker 1: have to make an emergency landing because an actual player
- 9:03Speaker 1: is experiencing something medical. Penguins practice at noon today, and
- 9:07Speaker 1: then they are at home tomorrow. It's the Pride Night
- 9:11Speaker 1: game against the Florida Panthers. Hey, man, listen, I'm not
- 9:23Speaker 1: focused here. I'm falling apart. I'm only one episode into
- 9:27Speaker 1: this season of Love is Blind that's in Boston. I
- 9:29Speaker 1: thought you were going to watch them yesterday. Yeah, that
- 9:33Speaker 1: didn't happen. It's not me. You're falling behind. It's not
- 9:38Speaker 1: on me. I was ready to binge, binge, binge yesterday.
- 9:41Speaker 1: My wife, Jamie, was not.
- 9:43Speaker 2: New ones out today.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I know, but I can't move ahead without my wife.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Can't leave her behind with Love is Blind.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Got to watch it together.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You know how these rules go when you're watching a
- 9:56Speaker 1: show with your partner.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I know.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It's like emotionally cheating on them. I'm just letting you
- 10:01Speaker 1: know you're falling behind.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I know I'm falling behind. I know I got to
- 10:05Speaker 2: get caught up.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Love is Blind Boston episodes 6, 7, and 8 are
- 10:10Speaker 1: out today on Netflix. Let's get to this talkback message
- 10:14Speaker 1: here on 96.1 KISS. It's Mike and Bob. Talkback message
- 10:16Speaker 1: is brought to you by The Pavement Group. Hey, guys.
- 10:19Speaker 7: I'm always like a week late on the podcast, but
- 10:21Speaker 7: I just wanted to say... That if they do a
- 10:24Speaker 7: Love is Blind for Pittsburgh, someone's going to end up related.
- 10:28Speaker 7: They're going to end up all knowing each other.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Just saying.
- 10:32Speaker 7: It would be funny, though. Definitely would be fun to watch.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that happened. I think it was last season or
- 10:37Speaker 2: two seasons ago.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Somebody sort of knew one of the girls from before
- 10:43Speaker 1: they had some sort of connection. I want to say he, like,
- 10:46Speaker 1: lied about it, too, or, like, just sort of, you know.
- 10:49Speaker 2: It was weird. I didn't like it.
- 10:52Speaker 4: It was that Alex dude, wasn't it? The soccer player guy?
- 10:54Speaker 4: The fake soccer player guy?
- 10:56Speaker 1: Don't remember any of the characters on last season. I
- 10:59Speaker 1: got a whole new cast to think about now. I
- 11:02Speaker 1: don't follow up with any of them unless they're on
- 11:05Speaker 1: the Love is Blind reunion, which we're still quite a
- 11:08Speaker 1: ways away from, bud. So, yes, three new episodes of
- 11:11Speaker 1: Love is Blind Boston out on Netflix. Going to Mexico today. Oh,
- 11:15Speaker 1: my gosh. Sexico, dude. It's Sexico Day. It definitely is.
- 11:21Speaker 1: It definitely is. Hey, they got the emotional stuff out
- 11:26Speaker 1: of the way. Now, Nick Lachey, Vanessa Lachey, it's.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Time to see if they got the physical connection.
- 11:34Speaker 1: All right.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I got to get caught up. Let's get to
- 11:37Speaker 2: a phone call here, Mikey and Bob.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Hello. Good morning, Mikey.
- 11:40Speaker 8: Good morning, Bob.
- 11:40Speaker 2: How are you today? Oh, there she is. It's Buttons.
- 11:44Speaker 2: We're doing good. How are you? I'm great.
- 11:46Speaker 9: I'm fantastic.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 11:49Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:49Speaker 6: Good morning to Mikey and to Bob.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Good morning to you. Good morning. Good morning.
- 12:01Speaker 9: That station in the bird, good morning, good morning to you. Hey,
- 12:08Speaker 9: I have one more thing.
- 12:09Speaker 1: To say, too.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Okay. Here we go, Steelers, here we go.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Here we go, Steelers, here we go.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Put some stink on it, yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Here we go, Steelers, here we go.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Here we go, Steelers, here we go. Yeah.
- 12:26Speaker 10: Red up this house.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Red up this house.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Red up, red up, red up, red up, red up
- 12:32Speaker 2: this house. Here we go, Steelers. Here we go. Here
- 12:37Speaker 2: we go, Steelers. Here we go. Buttons, wow.
- 12:43Speaker 1: You got me hyped for the Paris game, and I'm
- 12:46Speaker 1: days away from that.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Jeez. Too hype on a Wednesday.
- 12:51Speaker 8: Well, you know, red up this house, red up this room.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I was brought up like that, you know? Of course. Hey,
- 12:57Speaker 2: so was Mike McCarthy. Got to clean it up, right?
- 13:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Buttons, you're the best.
- 13:07Speaker 1: There's not a lot of people that just make us
- 13:09Speaker 1: smile every time we talk to them.
- 13:11Speaker 2: You are one of those people, Buttons.
- 13:13Speaker 8: Well, you two have a wonderful day, and I love
- 13:17Speaker 8: you both very, very much.
- 13:19Speaker 2: And Buttons, out.
- 13:27Speaker 1: We will be milking some Steelers content coming up around 710.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Cam Hayward had some things to say yesterday on the
- 13:32Speaker 1: Rich Eisen show about the kitchen being hot in the
- 13:37Speaker 1: AFC North. I remember when Coach Tomlin used to vibe
- 13:41Speaker 1: like that.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Hot kitchen.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, AFC North getting hot in the kitchen, you know.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And also he was talking about Coach McCarthy, you know,
- 13:48Speaker 1: spending halftime in the blue tent after he hurt his ankle.
- 13:53Speaker 1: So we'll get all that coming up around 7-10 here
- 13:55Speaker 1: on 96.1 KC. It is Mikey and Bob right now.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Let's get to another talkback message. Just download our free
- 14:00Speaker 1: iHeartRadio app.
- 14:01Speaker 2: It's where you can get our Mikey and Bob podcast
- 14:03Speaker 2: brought to us by the C. Harper Auto Group.
- 14:05Speaker 1: You can send in your talkback messages brought to us
- 14:07Speaker 1: by One Team Media. So a couple years ago, somebody
- 14:10Speaker 1: left a talkback message about storing soup in a square container.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember that.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Just explicitly saying it just does. It feels unnatural when
- 14:21Speaker 1: you eat soup out of something that's not.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Like a bowl.
- 14:23Speaker 11: How it felt wrong.
- 14:25Speaker 12: Well, my husband just made soup tonight and we had
- 14:30Speaker 12: to store it in a square container.
- 14:32Speaker 1: And honestly, it.
- 14:33Speaker 11: Just feels so wrong. Like soup should be.
- 14:37Speaker 7: Stored in a round container, not squared.
- 14:39Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 14:40Speaker 11: Just personally for me.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I like how she was just going through the stages.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Just like, yeah, I remember you guys were talking about
- 14:47Speaker 1: this on the show. Somebody brought it up. Never really
- 14:49Speaker 1: thought about it until tonight.
- 14:51Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I mean, it sounds crazy. It does.
- 14:54Speaker 4: When you say it out loud, it sounds like, why
- 14:56Speaker 4: do you care what it's stored in? But when you
- 14:57Speaker 4: really think about it.
- 14:59Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 14:59Speaker 2: You eat soup out of like a. Round.
- 15:02Speaker 1: It's round or it's nothing. Right in a bowl. You
- 15:05Speaker 1: put it in a square container. Sure, you go ahead
- 15:07Speaker 1: and eat the soup. It doesn't feel right. You know
- 15:10Speaker 1: why it doesn't feel right? I think because of the
- 15:12Speaker 1: motion when you eat soup. You scoop the soup up,
- 15:16Speaker 1: you know? It's very hard to scoop when you got the.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Corners?
- 15:20Speaker 1: Yeah, well, the corners are the only place you can
- 15:23Speaker 1: be doing the scooping.
- 15:24Speaker 2: The corners are the scoop corners. The roundness of the
- 15:26Speaker 2: bowl making it.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 2: No matter where you go.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Good.
- 15:28Speaker 2: We figured shapes out today, everybody.
- 15:30Speaker 10: Hey!
- 15:31Speaker 2: Look at your boys go.
- 15:33Speaker 1: All right, let's get into Today in Freak Show History
- 15:35Speaker 1: because it has to do with deer and floppy meat.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Today in Freak Show History. Today in Freak Show History.
- 15:51Speaker 1: It is time to check in with the Pittsburgh Police
- 15:52Speaker 1: Scanner account. Again, it's just a couple people that do
- 15:55Speaker 1: a fantastic job. It's a couple people who listen to
- 15:58Speaker 1: the Pittsburgh Police Scanner and will then just report on
- 16:01Speaker 1: what is happening in and around our city.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Marshall Shadeland, Ohio River Boulevard.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Callers following behind a guy who got a deer and
- 16:13Speaker 1: threw it in the back of his truck.
- 16:15Speaker 2: All right, that's the roadkill ferry.
- 16:19Speaker 1: The deer is not tied down and is bouncing all around.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Caller is concerned. It's going to flop out. Oh, no.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Was this an unofficial? Somebody who pulled over and grabbed
- 16:34Speaker 1: a deer off the side of the road?
- 16:35Speaker 2: It might be. Might be.
- 16:37Speaker 4: I was expecting it to be like the county roadkill
- 16:40Speaker 4: ferry that scoops them up and takes them to wherever
- 16:42Speaker 4: land they go.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Well, yeah, the roadkill ferry, though, is going to have
- 16:45Speaker 1: like the high sides in the back of the pickup
- 16:48Speaker 1: truck so the deer doesn't flop out.
- 16:50Speaker 2: That's what it is.
- 16:52Speaker 1: This seems like somebody who just had a pickup truck,
- 16:55Speaker 1: got the roadkill, and then, you know, it's bouncing all around.
- 16:58Speaker 1: You don't want the meat in the back bouncing all around,
- 17:01Speaker 1: and you can't have your, you know, the meat flop.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Did our camera just break? Is that what that was? Yeah,
- 17:07Speaker 2: that was. Okay. Well, that's nice.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I was doing my meat jokes and everything, man. Too
- 17:13Speaker 1: much floppy meat talk.
- 17:17Speaker 2: All right. It's really like our camera walked off the job.
- 17:23Speaker 2: He's like, these guys suck.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I'm out of here.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I don't want to take video of these guys anymore.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Their show stinks.
- 17:29Speaker 2: They're talking about floppy deer meat. I'm out of here.
- 17:34Speaker 1: You could win $ 1, 000, get qualified for a full VIP

- 18:03Speaker 1: a quick talkback message here. You can send it through
- 18:05Speaker 1: the free iHeartRadio app brought to us by The Pavement Group. Hey, guys.
- 18:08Speaker 2: It's Mills. I'm out.
- 18:12Speaker 13: Imitation of mccarthy has me howling it reminds me so much.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Of uh hank from king of the hill specifically i
- 18:21Speaker 2: don't know if you've ever heard of hank trill the
- 18:24Speaker 2: song okay Please listen to it, because.
- 18:29Speaker 11: I think of that every time you do the impersonation
- 18:31Speaker 11: of McCarthy.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Thank you, Mikey, for gracing us with that.
- 18:34Speaker 11: Love you.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I mean, we got a little out of control on
- 18:36Speaker 1: the show yesterday because Mike McCarthy had mentioned that he's
- 18:39Speaker 1: been on Zoom calls with the league.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Hang out on Zoom, yeah.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Because of the whole Paris thing and everything, and we
- 18:44Speaker 1: just said, There's no way that guy has a normal
- 18:47Speaker 1: background on Zoom. He's doing it all. He's telling Roger
- 18:51Speaker 1: Goodell he's at the beach.
- 18:53Speaker 2: He loves it.
- 18:53Speaker 1: By the way, Roger Goodell's courtside at the Knicks-Sixers game
- 18:57Speaker 1: yesterday in New York City. Yeah, NBA basketball's back, Bob.
- 19:00Speaker 1: How'd that make you feel?
- 19:02Speaker 2: It's all right.
- 19:03Speaker 1: It's a long season.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Sort of like hockey, the season starts. Did LeBron James win? Yeah,
- 19:09Speaker 2: he did. Oh, wow.
- 19:11Speaker 1: A lot of famous people courtside.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Roger Goodell wasn't the only one. I bet. A bunch
- 19:16Speaker 2: of stars.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Wow.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Razzmatazz. Yeah, you're real excited about it.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yes, Mike McCarthy on Zoom calls is something we unlocked yesterday.
- 19:27Speaker 1: It just seems like he would be hilarious on a
- 19:31Speaker 1: Zoom call.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Hey, Roger, remember I used to coach in Green Bay?
- 19:35Speaker 2: His background is just all cheese. They'll go up to
- 19:37Speaker 2: cheese with me, Rog.
- 19:38Speaker 1: You know, I want to be on one of these
- 19:40Speaker 1: Steelers zoom calls with the league just because I want
- 19:43Speaker 1: to see how, McCarthy operates. All right, let's milk some
- 19:46Speaker 1: Steelers content. We'll get to Cam Hayward. Yesterday, he was
- 19:50Speaker 1: on the Rich Eisen show. He was talking about, you know,
- 19:55Speaker 1: the AFC North. We got some good teams in our
- 19:58Speaker 1: division this year. Everybody's winning the AFC North. Milk, milk, milk, milk,
- 20:04Speaker 1: milk the Steelers content.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk the Steelers content.
- 20:10Speaker 12: All four teams above 500. What did that win? coming
- 20:14Speaker 12: from 16-3 down to win this thing in overtime, tell
- 20:17Speaker 12: you about your team, Cam?
- 20:19Speaker 6: We're never out of it. We give ourselves a chance.
- 20:22Speaker 6: In this division we're in, you have Cleveland playing very well.
- 20:26Speaker 6: You have Baltimore. You have Cincinnati. The race is on.
- 20:30Speaker 6: And you've got to make sure we have our best
- 20:32Speaker 6: foot forward. We can show we can come down from
- 20:35Speaker 6: any circumstances and bounce back.
- 20:37Speaker 2: AFC North is where it's at.
- 20:39Speaker 6: The kitchen is hot, and we've got to bring our
- 20:42Speaker 6: best stuff going forward.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Hot Kitchen.
- 20:44Speaker 10: Man.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Cam's Hot Kitchen. Dude, that was a real place. That was.
- 20:48Speaker 6: That was.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I remember the commercial that used to run on the show.
- 20:51Speaker 2: We used to love it. Cam's Hot Kitchen. Yeah, where'd
- 20:55Speaker 2: that go, man?
- 20:56Speaker 1: Whoever Cam was ran Cam's Hot Kitchen.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Hell yeah. Cam Hayward's got it going on.
- 21:01Speaker 9: Netflix.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Milk, milk, milk, milk the Steelers' content. Milk, milk, milk,
- 21:06Speaker 2: milk the Steelers' content. Cam Hayward on the Rich Eisen
- 21:09Speaker 2: Show yesterday.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Of course, they were talking about Mike McCarthy going in
- 21:12Speaker 1: the blue tent for halftime because his, I don't know,
- 21:14Speaker 1: ankle foot got stepped on or run over.
- 21:16Speaker 6: Players got to battle adversity and coaches, too. And you
- 21:21Speaker 6: just got to be aware.
- 21:22Speaker 2: At all times.
- 21:23Speaker 12: Coaches shouldn't be in the blue tent because they turn
- 21:25Speaker 12: an ankle, right, Cam? I mean, like, as somebody at least...
- 21:28Speaker 12: Who's applying the needle is what I'm saying. Who's giving
- 21:31Speaker 12: him grief?
- 21:32Speaker 1: Nobody?
- 21:32Speaker 12: It's okay.
- 21:34Speaker 6: Every player is giving him verbiage. I will say he
- 21:37Speaker 6: came into the meeting room the next day and didn't
- 21:39Speaker 6: have a boot on or anything. That's good. We were
- 21:42Speaker 6: good there. If there was a boot on that foot,
- 21:44Speaker 6: we were going to give him hell in those moments.
- 21:46Speaker 2: So he didn't go full Roethlisberger.
- 21:49Speaker 12: Oh, nice one. Yeah, like wrapping it up.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Nice and the boot and the limp cart.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Man, how funny would it have been?
- 21:58Speaker 1: If Mike McCarthy on the first meeting after the game
- 22:01Speaker 1: gets wheeled into the meeting room.
- 22:04Speaker 2: And he has the Ben ice wrap just on it.
- 22:07Speaker 2: You remember Ben after the game?
- 22:09Speaker 1: You just have just a monstrosity of ice on his leg.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Dude, how crazy would McCarthy be vicious on a granny scooter?
- 22:17Speaker 6: Oh, man.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Let him scoot up and down the sideline?
- 22:19Speaker 1: He would be the kind of guy that doesn't move
- 22:21Speaker 1: for anybody at all. He'll run you over if he
- 22:25Speaker 1: has to in the granny scooter.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I don't know how this thing works. Hey, Bert, how
- 22:31Speaker 2: fast does this thing go? How fast do I get
- 22:33Speaker 2: on here, Bert? Are these legal over.
- 22:36Speaker 1: In Paris, Bert?
- 22:38Speaker 2: Melt, melt, melt, melt, melt the Steelers content.
- 22:41Speaker 1: All right, here's more of Cam Hayward on Rich Eisen
- 22:44Speaker 1: Show talking about just Mike McCarthy, you know, how he
- 22:46Speaker 1: showed up.
- 22:47Speaker 2: After his injury, and he seems to be fine. This
- 22:50Speaker 2: is a moment for the Michael Scott.
- 22:51Speaker 6: This is a moment for you to come in with
- 22:54Speaker 6: air bubble wraps on your foot.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Okay, we're talking the office now.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Michael Scott, when he did the George Foreman grill, he
- 23:03Speaker 1: hurt his foot on the Foreman grill and then wrapped
- 23:05Speaker 1: it up in bubble wrap.
- 23:07Speaker 6: And coming in a wheelchair, coming with a neck brace on,
- 23:11Speaker 6: if he had done that, that would have been hilarious.
- 23:13Speaker 6: I think our coach is a little bit tougher than that.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Coach McCarthy, you could have really razzled, dazzled the players
- 23:21Speaker 1: if you would have came in with him with a
- 23:24Speaker 1: neck brace on.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Would have been hilarious. I don't know what happened, guys.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Neck brace and a granny scooter?
- 23:30Speaker 1: You guys got to protect me better on the sidelines here.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I don't know what happened.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on here, but I've got
- 23:36Speaker 1: to get this neck brace on. We've got a Zoom
- 23:39Speaker 1: call later today with Raj.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I can't wait. Guess who I'm going to be today?
- 23:44Speaker 2: Guess who I'm going to be? I'm going to be
- 23:46Speaker 2: a pirate today. Raj doesn't know what he's doing. Michael Carter,
- 23:49Speaker 2: the pirate ship.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Mail, mail, mail, mail, mail to Steelers content.
- 23:55Speaker 5: All right.
- 23:55Speaker 1: It is Steelers going over to Paris tomorrow. Saints are
- 23:59Speaker 1: already there waiting. 96.1 KISS. It's chilly again this morning,
- 24:05Speaker 1: but it'll be another nice fall day with highs in
- 24:07Speaker 1: the upper 60s. It's Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Of course, you can get our Mikey and Bob podcast
- 24:12Speaker 1: on the free iHeartRadio app, brought to us by our
- 24:15Speaker 1: good friends over at the C. Harper Auto Group. By
- 24:17Speaker 1: the way, speaking of our C. Harper rides we're driving
- 24:21Speaker 1: right now, Bob is in a 2027 Kia Telluride. I'm
- 24:23Speaker 1: in a 2027 Kia Carnival, both hybrids. I filled up
- 24:29Speaker 1: my gas tank for the first time in two weeks yesterday.
- 24:32Speaker 2: It felt absolutely glorious.
- 24:35Speaker 4: I took mine through the Gecko Wecko car wash.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Never had a car that had cameras like it does. Oh,
- 24:42Speaker 4: so you were watching the car wash?
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Simple things, right? Simple things. Simple things. Never watched this before.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I'm sitting in there flipping back and forth with the
- 24:53Speaker 1: camera just going, whoa!
- 24:55Speaker 2: You mean to tell me I can watch? I can
- 24:58Speaker 2: watch the backside get scrubbed? Hell yeah! Alright!
- 25:02Speaker 1: Let's get to this talkback message here brought to us
- 25:04Speaker 1: by One Team Media.
- 25:05Speaker 7: Hey, I was just wondering, but if someone wanted to
- 25:08Speaker 7: buy one of the cars that you have?
- 25:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you can buy them. See Harper Auto Group.
- 25:14Speaker 1: If you want to buy the Jeep I was driving,
- 25:17Speaker 1: the Ram that Bob had, or either one of our Kias.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you can buy them.
- 25:21Speaker 7: Would you comply if they requested that they will only
- 25:25Speaker 7: buy the vehicle If you fart in it, I want
- 25:29Speaker 7: to buy that Telluride, but only if Bob's farted in it.
- 25:32Speaker 6: Don't.
- 25:33Speaker 7: If the seal hasn't been broken, then what's the point?
- 25:38Speaker 1: Careful what you ask for, okay?
- 25:41Speaker 2: Careful. I'll tell you what.
- 25:43Speaker 1: You buy Bob's Kia Telluride, we'll both fart in it
- 25:48Speaker 1: for you.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Whatever you want. Hey, with you in it. Seriously. With
- 25:51Speaker 2: you in it.
- 25:52Speaker 1: We will hotbox your Telluride with farts before you take
- 25:55Speaker 1: it away.
- 25:55Speaker 2: All right. Weird request. Let's get to this talkback message, Bob.
- 26:00Speaker 2: It's a six-year-old.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You know, hey, we teach the kids, man. We teach
- 26:05Speaker 2: the kids. Hi, my kids, Bob. This is Quinn, and
- 26:09Speaker 2: I'm six.
- 26:10Speaker 1: And I'm in kindergarten. All right, Quinn's on the show now,
- 26:14Speaker 1: six years old. He's in kindergarten listening to the show.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Shout out to Quinn's parents for letting him listen. And
- 26:20Speaker 1: I want.
- 26:20Speaker 7: To tell you guys that a bush baby pees on
- 26:24Speaker 7: their paws to make it sticky.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Goodbye. Okay, six-year-old just blew our minds here. Quinn, the six-year-old.
- 26:32Speaker 1: It's on their paws to make it sticky. I need
- 26:35Speaker 1: to do some research. Bush babies are also known as galagos.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Galago. Oh, wow. But they're also known as bush babies.
- 26:47Speaker 2: It looks like. It's a chunky squirrel looking thing with
- 26:51Speaker 2: big eyes. A chunky squirrel, yes. Big ears.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Big eyes, big ears, yes. Is that true, Bob? Do
- 26:58Speaker 1: they pee on their hands to make it sticky? They're climbers, right?
- 27:03Speaker 1: They're up in trees.
- 27:04Speaker 2: They can rotate their heads 180 degrees, too. That's kind
- 27:07Speaker 2: of wild. Jeez.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Bat-like ears, loud cries, huge eyes. Oh, God, yeah, they're
- 27:15Speaker 4: tree climbers.
- 27:16Speaker 2: They do it?
- 27:17Speaker 4: Yeah, they pee on their... Paws, hands, whatever you want
- 27:20Speaker 4: to call them. Yeah, we'll call them paws. Gives them
- 27:22Speaker 4: grip on the trees.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Jeez. You mean to tell me that that's all they do?
- 27:28Speaker 1: Just like, oh, I was slipping off trees.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Got to get a better grip.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And then they pee on their paws, and then they
- 27:35Speaker 1: got good grip, right?
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Jeez, all right.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Maybe we need to get some of that pee for
- 27:42Speaker 2: the Steelers wide receivers.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Dude, do you think this is how DK Metcalf and
- 27:48Speaker 1: Jeremy Bernard? Do you think we need a secret weapon?
- 27:53Speaker 1: Maybe we need a Steelers team, a team Bush baby
- 27:57Speaker 1: that can urinate on the paws of our wide receivers, right?
- 28:03Speaker 1: Jeremy Bernard, DK Metcalf, get on out there. Dude, what
- 28:08Speaker 1: if Mike McCarthy tries to smuggle one and he's over
- 28:10Speaker 1: to Paris now? got his underwear just something's moving in
- 28:15Speaker 1: mike mccarthy's pants and they are they are they are
- 28:19Speaker 1: debating whether or not they need to pat him down
- 28:21Speaker 1: or not.
- 28:22Speaker 2: He tells tf he is my secret weapon.
- 28:24Speaker 1: There's like what hey listen i know you're uh going
- 28:28Speaker 1: over there with the steelers and this isn't like we're
- 28:31Speaker 1: not gonna treat you like the regular people and pat
- 28:34Speaker 1: you down international travel and all this but dude something's
- 28:38Speaker 1: moving in your pants well oh that's just They ain't
- 28:42Speaker 1: going in there, you know.
- 28:43Speaker 2: I know you're not going in there. He goes through
- 28:45Speaker 2: the heat sensor at the airport. Oh, it's red hot.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Red hot. Goes through TSA and they scan his full body.
- 28:52Speaker 2: What is this?
- 28:55Speaker 6: What?
- 28:56Speaker 2: What do you got?
- 28:56Speaker 1: Hey.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Hey, man. Listen. That's just my bush, okay? It's just
- 29:00Speaker 2: my bush down there, all right? Just my bush. I'm
- 29:04Speaker 2: taking it to Paris with me. And then we're going
- 29:07Speaker 2: to pee all over everybody's hands.

- 29:40Speaker 2: me out. It's gross. Just no snacks.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Because we were talking about this because our buddy Bob
- 29:45Speaker 1: from Oakmont sent us a message about, you know, eating
- 29:48Speaker 1: some of the McDonald's French fries in the drive-thru, you know,
- 29:51Speaker 1: when you're on your way home, right?
- 29:52Speaker 2: I don't have my kids or my wife either. That's weird.

- 30:21Speaker 1: Was awful Have a good day. It's like respect for dad,
- 30:25Speaker 1: you know, can't eat in the cars. Do you think
- 30:27Speaker 1: this is what are you going to pass this down
- 30:28Speaker 1: to your kids? Like they're Jordan and Jack. If they
- 30:31Speaker 1: have kids at some point, you know, they're not in
- 30:35Speaker 1: their car. They're terrified of me, though, to eat. They
- 30:38Speaker 1: both drive, though. They both drive.

- 31:11Speaker 6: I do.

- 31:13Speaker 8: or something, I grab myself.
- 31:14Speaker 2: A beef stick to eat on the way home.
- 31:16Speaker 1: A little bonus. It's one of my favorite things to do.
- 31:18Speaker 1: A little bonus beef stick. One of his favorite things
- 31:21Speaker 1: to do. A little road beef. Hey, that's why they
- 31:24Speaker 1: got all the candy and stuff up by the register.
- 31:26Speaker 1: You can't keep that road beef out of your mouth
- 31:28Speaker 1: once you hit the car. Hey, Bob from Oakmont's back.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Smacking it up.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Michael and Bob.
- 31:36Speaker 9: His real name's not Robert.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I don't know if I want to continue with that.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Number one. Five foot six, little fat boy over here. Okay,
- 31:44Speaker 2: this is stats on Bob from Old Commander. Don't be
- 31:47Speaker 2: playing my fat kids. tricks okay yeah his tricks where
- 31:50Speaker 2: he was asking us about.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Eating fries and the you know when you're going away
- 31:54Speaker 1: from the drive-thru and i told him i said the
- 31:56Speaker 1: thing you do is you buy a small fry for
- 31:58Speaker 1: yourself on the way home i'm not gonna have to
- 32:00Speaker 1: worry about stealing.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Fries off the top i'm not here to judge either
- 32:03Speaker 4: i know this is my thing like i know it's
- 32:05Speaker 4: a problem for me the touching things and.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Salting yeah they're not eating in the car.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Gross in the car now it's just that's just me
- 32:12Speaker 4: that's a neat thing bob all right.
- 32:14Speaker 9: So i've cussed a little bit now that's when she
- 32:16Speaker 9: might have to spice it up here I'm a skinny fat, well, no,
- 32:19Speaker 9: I'm just a fat, fat kid.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Okay. Not really. Five foot six, about 220, 230.
- 32:22Speaker 9: Eh, that's a little chunky, boy.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Hey, Bob from Oakmont, you're perfect sized for Bob from Oakmont, okay, Bob?
- 32:28Speaker 2: Fun-sized Bob.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Listen, weird-shaped bodies, everybody's welcome here at our party because
- 32:34Speaker 1: they don't get much weirder than us. But nah.
- 32:36Speaker 9: It's Monopoly pieces time, baby Mikey.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, they got the Monopoly game at McDonald's. Yeah,
- 32:41Speaker 1: they do, yeah.
- 32:42Speaker 2: You got to be getting two of them large fries. Yeah,
- 32:44Speaker 2: I got to fry it up now. No, you guys
- 32:46Speaker 2: make me laugh. Yeah, all right. I'll be out at
- 32:48Speaker 2: Stuff-A-Bus this year. Oh, wow, we're getting Bob from Oakmont
- 32:51Speaker 2: at Stuff-A-Bus.
- 32:51Speaker 9: Yeah, people don't realize I've been calling your show for
- 32:54Speaker 9: like three years.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 9: I mean, well, I've been listening for like, I don't know,
- 32:57Speaker 9: since listener numbers existed.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Okay.
- 32:59Speaker 9: But I've been calling, leaving messages, but I'm going to
- 33:02Speaker 9: leave you.
- 33:03Speaker 2: With, just come on. All right.
- 33:08Speaker 1: He always wants us to come down to the American
- 33:10Speaker 1: Legion in Oklahoma.
- 33:12Speaker 2: He's not done, though.
- 33:12Speaker 5: Hold on.
- 33:13Speaker 9: Oh, but also, I need, like, something good in my
- 33:16Speaker 9: life or something fun, like a change-up.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Okay.
- 33:19Speaker 9: So I know you always talk about, Mikey, how your
- 33:22Speaker 9: wife and daughter work at that Pittsburgh skydiving.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:25Speaker 9: I'd really like to, or whatever it's called.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Skydive Pennsylvania up in Grove City. Yeah, that's where
- 33:30Speaker 1: my family works.
- 33:31Speaker 9: That'd be really good for me, and I really want to, like,
- 33:33Speaker 9: check that out, so I'm gonna.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I would love to do this.
- 33:35Speaker 1: We'll get into that, man. I would love to go
- 33:37Speaker 1: up and watch Bob from Oakmont being thrown out of
- 33:40Speaker 1: a plane with.
- 33:40Speaker 2: A parachute on. Launch himself out of a plane?
- 33:42Speaker 1: I'd love watching that. He's not done.
- 33:45Speaker 9: Lastly, as I continue to make this wonderful pasta sauce.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Making pasta sauce?
- 33:50Speaker 9: Makes sense why my therapist is like, you tell Mikey
- 33:54Speaker 9: and Bob more than you tell me.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Just keep.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Make them new therapists.
- 34:01Speaker 9: See the skill games may be gone but bob's skill
- 34:05Speaker 9: games are still there i.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Don't know listen i've lost control out of bob from pokemon.
- 34:10Speaker 4: Here the skill games at the bar first of all
- 34:13Speaker 4: we're his therapist now yeah the skill games the skill
- 34:17Speaker 4: games are out but bob's skill games i guess we.
- 34:20Speaker 9: Can play poke poke touch See what happens.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Touch, poke, touch. I don't know.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Poke, touch, poke.
- 34:29Speaker 2: There's a lot of games we could play.
- 34:32Speaker 9: Sounds weird, but you got to remember, I grew up
- 34:34Speaker 9: listening to you guys, so it's not that weird.
- 34:36Speaker 2: You know what? He's right.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Hey, Bob, I think you got your Halloween costume there
- 34:42Speaker 4: for the party down at the Legion in Oakmont.
- 34:46Speaker 2: What's your costume? Oh, I'm a skill game.
- 34:50Speaker 1: We got to.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Go to the Legion.
- 34:59Speaker 1: See Bob from Oakmont, man.
- 35:04Speaker 2: He is. He's one to one, man. He is the best.
- 35:07Speaker 1: We will get to the latest with the Ben Kendall situation.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Scary report from the Penguins yesterday. They had to get
- 35:15Speaker 1: him emergency medical treatment after their plane had to make
- 35:19Speaker 1: a landing after they left Utah. We'll get to that
- 35:22Speaker 1: coming up around 825. Your chance to win $ 1, 000 this
- 35:25Speaker 1: morning around 910.
- 35:25Speaker 2: It's Mikey and Bob.
- 35:26Speaker 9: 96.1 Kids.
- 35:28Speaker 2: The Mikey and Bob Podcast.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Got that dog in him. I was going to go
- 35:33Speaker 1: the serious route. Of like maybe.
- 35:37Speaker 5: Stream the Mikey and Bob Podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever
- 35:41Speaker 5: you get your podcasts.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Nothing confirmed about Jay-Z picking himself to do the Super
- 35:48Speaker 1: Bowl halftime show yet, right?
- 35:50Speaker 2: Nothing official, but everybody ran with that yesterday, right?
- 35:53Speaker 4: I saw TMZ go with it, and then it just
- 35:55Speaker 4: kind of spiraled, yeah.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Just doesn't seem like this is a secret anymore. Nothing
- 35:59Speaker 1: from the NFL, though. No good rollout this year of, like,
- 36:02Speaker 1: tease videos or anything. Nothing from Roc Nation, nothing like that.
- 36:06Speaker 1: But just, you know, if Jay-Z, you know, is running
- 36:09Speaker 1: Roc Nation, of course he's going to pick himself to
- 36:12Speaker 1: do it.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Why not, right? Because he's been doing this whole thing.
- 36:15Speaker 2: He did those shows, you know, the.
- 36:18Speaker 1: the blueprint anniversary shows and he was doing them overseas.
- 36:22Speaker 2: He's doing them at Yankee stadium.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Like it's all, but he's been building up this Superbowl
- 36:25Speaker 1: halftime show.
- 36:27Speaker 2: He's just going to pick himself.
- 36:28Speaker 6: Right.
- 36:28Speaker 4: And it seems like he may have swung and missed
- 36:30Speaker 4: on like the couple other acts that.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Were, you know, mentioned.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe he took some big swings like, let's see
- 36:37Speaker 1: if Taylor wants to do it this year.
- 36:38Speaker 2: And he's just like, eh, all right. BTS was the
- 36:41Speaker 2: other one. Bieber, Miley.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe it just came down to Jay-Z just going,
- 36:47Speaker 4: all right, well, I guess.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 36:49Speaker 1: I'm not mad at him if that's what he wants
- 36:51Speaker 1: to do, but I'm sure the Facebook comments aren't treating
- 36:55Speaker 1: him well. man. We got to wait until it's officially announced.
- 36:59Speaker 1: When it becomes official, the Facebook comments, it's going to
- 37:01Speaker 1: be once an hour on our show. The day after
- 37:04Speaker 1: the announcement is, uh, is made, uh, Bob yesterday on
- 37:07Speaker 1: the show, or I think it was last week, maybe
- 37:09Speaker 1: even you, uh, you said that Taylor Swift and Travis
- 37:14Speaker 1: Kelsey were moving to, uh, Was it.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Hemfield that you had been moving to? Yeah, because we
- 37:20Speaker 2: jelly roll a property in Belle Vernon. Which is also
- 37:24Speaker 2: not true.
- 37:25Speaker 4: I saw rumors of Taylor and Travis looking at properties
- 37:28Speaker 4: in Hemfield.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Yeah, not true at all. Let's get to this message.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Mikey, Bob. Hey, I could see Travis Kelsey and Taylor
- 37:35Speaker 1: Swift move into Hemfield, like Bob said.
- 37:38Speaker 12: It's the halfway point between both their hometowns.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Never know. Might be Yinzers.
- 37:43Speaker 1: No, it's not going to happen. They're not going to
- 37:45Speaker 1: be Yinzers. They're not going to be living in Hemfield, dude.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I'm telling you, it's what I saw.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Hey, did you see Washington County? Did you see the
- 37:54Speaker 1: Washington County thing with Apple? That's pretty sweet, right? Apple
- 37:59Speaker 1: announced yesterday a three-year, $ 100 million deal with North Sturbane-based
- 38:04Speaker 1: Perryman Company to produce titanium for the new folding iPhone Duo.
- 38:12Speaker 5: Damn.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Let me tell you. That's a pretty sweet deal for
- 38:15Speaker 2: Washington County, right?
- 38:16Speaker 1: It is.
- 38:17Speaker 2: North Sturbane, right?
- 38:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Titanium, though? Are you sure? Are you sure.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Washington County's got titanium? Or are we still just using
- 38:31Speaker 1: the Yinzer Vibranium from the Civic Arena roof?
- 38:35Speaker 2: I'm telling you, man, I don't think we're.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Out of the Civic Arena roof yet. I don't think
- 38:39Speaker 1: we're out of that material yet. I think we got
- 38:41Speaker 1: so much of it laying around. Those new iPhones are
- 38:44Speaker 1: going to have Yinztanium.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Dude, Yinztanium. Auto shells.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Oh, man, you see the foldable iPhone, just basically know
- 38:50Speaker 1: they're made in Pittsburgh. I wonder if we could put
- 38:55Speaker 1: something in all the new iPhones too.
- 38:57Speaker 2: That's like, yeah.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Like if they're built with civic arena, titanium, titanium roof.
- 39:04Speaker 1: I wonder if like during the penguin season, you know,
- 39:07Speaker 1: when they play at home, all the, you know, we
- 39:10Speaker 1: get like an Amber alert on your phone and it's like, wow,
- 39:12Speaker 1: there's no stopping that. There's a kid missing. It's all
- 39:15Speaker 1: hands on deck.
- 39:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Just like that.
- 39:19Speaker 1: At seven o'clock on everybody's phone.
- 39:23Speaker 2: It's a hockey night in Pittsburgh. Everybody wants an iPhone duo.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Around the country.
- 39:30Speaker 1: That has the Yenzer titanium from North Sturbane Company down
- 39:35Speaker 1: there in Washington County.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Got the Apple deal. It just triggers Mike Lang. I
- 39:39Speaker 2: think that's what needs to happen.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I think Mike Lang needs to be on all the
- 39:43Speaker 1: phones so it'll just go off like an Amber Alert,
- 39:45Speaker 1: but it's basically just a Yenzer Alert.
- 39:47Speaker 9: Why?
- 39:47Speaker 1: Because If we basically built in the foldable iPhones, they're
- 39:53Speaker 1: made with the Civic Arena roof, okay? There's no breaking them.
- 39:57Speaker 1: But also, dude, it'll be like the Yenzer version of
- 40:00Speaker 1: when the U2 album got on everybody's phone.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Be like, there's a little something special on your phone.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Mike Lang lives inside your phone now. Everybody that's buying
- 40:09Speaker 2: the foldable iPhone. Hey, shoot, see, scores. Just do it.
- 40:17Speaker 2: 2 a.m., Mike Lang. You can't control it. You don't
- 40:20Speaker 2: know when it's going to happen. Dude, I mean, I
- 40:24Speaker 2: might be able to sneak in there with, you know,
- 40:26Speaker 2: the alarm just, can I get a let's go paint?
- 40:30Speaker 1: Why not?
- 40:31Speaker 2: Hey, Washington County. They asked for it. They asked for
- 40:33Speaker 2: that Instanium. North Sturbane. You better watch out, Apple. We're
- 40:38Speaker 2: going to.
- 40:38Speaker 1: End up all these new foldable iPhones. We will get
- 40:46Speaker 1: to the latest with Penguins forward Ben Kendall, who had
- 40:50Speaker 1: to be, you know, they had to land the plane
- 40:52Speaker 1: after leaving Utah. He had to get medical attention. We
- 40:55Speaker 1: will get to that whole story. The latest with that
- 40:58Speaker 1: coming up around 825 this morning. It is Mikey and
- 41:00Speaker 1: Bob on 96.1 KISS. Now, a little bit earlier, our
- 41:03Speaker 1: buddy Bob from Oakmont, who leaves us messages all the time,
- 41:07Speaker 1: sent us a long message.
- 41:08Speaker 2: He was talking about a couple different things.
- 41:10Speaker 9: I know you always talk about, Mikey, how you're... Wife
- 41:12Speaker 9: and daughter work at that Pittsburgh skydiving.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's up in Grove City, Skydive, Pennsylvania. Yeah, my
- 41:19Speaker 1: wife has worked there like for 20 years now, you know,
- 41:23Speaker 1: and that's that's been the only.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Job my daughter.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Has ever had.
- 41:28Speaker 9: That'd be really good for me, and I really want to, like,
- 41:29Speaker 9: check that out, so I'm.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Looking at that, man. Yeah, everybody has a point in
- 41:33Speaker 2: their life where they're like, you know what? I should
- 41:35Speaker 2: go skidabbing.
- 41:38Speaker 9: The skill games may be gone, but Bob's skill games
- 41:41Speaker 9: are still there.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Yeah, this is just more Bob from Oakmont's Message. We
- 41:44Speaker 2: can play.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Poke, poke, touch. See what happens.
- 41:47Speaker 2: See what happens. Touch, poke, touch.
- 41:50Speaker 1: All right, so let's go from Bob from Oakmont to
- 41:53Speaker 1: now Dawn the Meat Lady. Talkback messages on the show
- 41:57Speaker 1: brought to us by One Team Media. Morning, Mikey and
- 42:00Speaker 1: Big Bob. It's Dawn the Meat Lady.
- 42:01Speaker 2: There she is.
- 42:02Speaker 3: I'm heading to work, and I'm listening to Bob.
- 42:07Speaker 1: From Oakmont, and I am dying in my car laughing.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Touch, touch, poke, poke, poke, touch.
- 42:14Speaker 11: But I want to go skydiving with him.
- 42:17Speaker 2: With him?
- 42:18Speaker 11: I've been up to Pennsylvania Skydive a few times to skydive,
- 42:23Speaker 11: and I love it.
- 42:24Speaker 4: It's the best experience.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:26Speaker 11: And everyone is so nice. And I just love going
- 42:30Speaker 11: out there.
- 42:30Speaker 3: We always have such a good time.
- 42:32Speaker 11: But last time I was there, well, actually a few
- 42:35Speaker 11: times ago I was there.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Cecil told me.
- 42:37Speaker 3: About a specific plane that they get every once in
- 42:41Speaker 3: a while from California.
- 42:42Speaker 11: It's called like the SkyVan or something.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Okay, this is really freaking me out because Cecil's name,
- 42:47Speaker 1: he's like family friend. He's like my, you know, the
- 42:51Speaker 1: boss of my daughter.
- 42:52Speaker 2: And my wife. And you jump out the back rather
- 42:55Speaker 2: than the side.
- 42:56Speaker 11: And unfortunately, when we were supposed to do that, it
- 43:00Speaker 11: was during fall time. And it was just too cold,
- 43:05Speaker 11: too windy, too rainy.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Whatever, and we couldn't go.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Our skydive got canceled.
- 43:12Speaker 4: So I would love to do that again, but bring
- 43:15Speaker 4: Bob from.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Oakmont with me.
- 43:17Speaker 11: Jeez. Let's do it.
- 43:19Speaker 2: And, of course, you know, Mikey.
- 43:21Speaker 1: And Big Bob, you're more than welcome to come. Okay.
- 43:23Speaker 9: Obviously, I want you there.
- 43:25Speaker 5: But Bob.
- 43:27Speaker 3: And Mikey, you guys should jump, too.
- 43:30Speaker 8: Mikey, I could just imagine seeing your, like, long legs
- 43:33Speaker 8: just flopping in the wind.
- 43:34Speaker 9: No.
- 43:35Speaker 2: It's good. Oh, man.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I'm all right.
- 43:37Speaker 5: All right.
- 43:38Speaker 9: Bye.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Love you. All right, Dawn the Meat Lady. She's jumped before.
- 43:41Speaker 1: She's went skydiving before. Open invite. She wants a friend, though.
- 43:45Speaker 2: We can't. No.
- 43:47Speaker 1: By the way, just a couple things about skydiving. This
- 43:51Speaker 1: is the end of the season. Nobody skydives when it's
- 43:54Speaker 1: cold out. But right now, though, you've got a couple
- 43:59Speaker 1: more weeks. It is beautiful when you skydive now up
- 44:02Speaker 1: in Grove City because the colors.
- 44:04Speaker 2: You see all the colors and the leaves. How about
- 44:07Speaker 2: those leaves? I'm jumping out of a plane. Look at
- 44:12Speaker 2: all the trees. Oh, my goodness. It's fall, y'all.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Yeah, so jumping around here when it gets a little cold,
- 44:19Speaker 1: you don't want to be that high up in the
- 44:21Speaker 1: atmosphere when it's, you know.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Probably a little colder up there. A little chilly.
- 44:24Speaker 1: So a couple more weeks left of skydiving, but maybe
- 44:27Speaker 1: we figure something out for next year. Where we get
- 44:30Speaker 1: together and just, hey, we're going to watch skydiving with
- 44:34Speaker 1: Bob from Oklahoma.
- 44:35Speaker 2: I'm the meat lady. Watch him fly. Make it a
- 44:37Speaker 2: whole day, right? Why not?
- 44:39Speaker 11: Sure.
- 44:40Speaker 2: And then, you know, after they land.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Poke, poke, touch.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Some of that. See what happens. See what happens. Touch, poke, touch.
- 44:46Speaker 2: We'll do some of that and see what happens.
- 44:48Speaker 12: 96.1.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Kiss. Hey, thank you for listening to our Mikey and
- 44:53Speaker 1: Bob podcast. Now, whatever you're listening on, we appreciate it.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Thank you. But if you're listening on our free iHeartRadio app,
- 45:02Speaker 1: you can hit that little talkback microphone.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Send us a message. You can send us a message about.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Previous shows, the latest show. something you want us to
- 45:12Speaker 1: cover on the show. Let us know where you're listening
- 45:15Speaker 1: from too. Oh yeah.
- 45:16Speaker 2: That's fun too.
- 45:17Speaker 6: Right.
- 45:17Speaker 2: People in random places.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Yeah. I hit that little talk back microphone and you
- 45:22Speaker 1: can send us a message and maybe you'll make the show.
- 45:26Speaker 1: I have fallen behind, everybody. Hey, listen, leave me behind.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Go on without me, everybody. Oh, man, you're far behind.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I'm only one episode into Love is Blind Boston, and
- 45:38Speaker 1: there's three new episodes that are out today on Netflix, six, seven,
- 45:41Speaker 1: and eight. I feel like I got so much to
- 45:44Speaker 1: catch up on.
- 45:45Speaker 2: I need to ration 6, 7, and 8, though, and
- 45:47Speaker 2: go slow.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I always watch those ones too fast when they
- 45:50Speaker 1: go on their honeymoons and stuff after they meet each other.
- 45:53Speaker 1: You want to blow through those in a day, and
- 45:55Speaker 1: then you're just left sad.
- 45:57Speaker 2: But I want to know what happened, too. I want
- 46:00Speaker 2: the mess.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Then you don't want spoilers. It's going to be a disaster.
- 46:05Speaker 1: It's Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS. Let's talk
- 46:08Speaker 1: about the Penguins and what's going on with them. Obviously,
- 46:11Speaker 1: this is a little bit bigger than hockey. What happened yesterday?
- 46:14Speaker 1: The report came out that forward Ben Kendall, you know,
- 46:17Speaker 1: he's a young guy. He's 19 years old, right? He's
- 46:19Speaker 1: like a kid, basically.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:21Speaker 1: He was hospitalized in Salt Lake City after, you know,
- 46:24Speaker 1: the Penguins lose to Utah over the weekend. The team's
- 46:27Speaker 1: plane returned to the Salt Lake City International Airport after takeoff.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Medical staffers were attending to Ben Kindle, I guess, on
- 46:35Speaker 1: the plane. He was transferred to the University of Utah
- 46:38Speaker 1: Hospital for further evaluation. According to the Penguin statement, Ben
- 46:42Speaker 1: Kindle was conscious, alert, and in stable condition. There were
- 46:45Speaker 1: no other details, and the Penguin statement basically said, the
- 46:49Speaker 1: team will provide further updates when appropriate. So that was
- 46:53Speaker 1: basically the end of it. But also, there was a
- 46:56Speaker 1: report that came out that was, and Bob, I know
- 47:00Speaker 1: you have it over there. Is it, was this Josh
- 47:03Speaker 1: Yowie who sort of stepped out and said what was
- 47:05Speaker 1: going on?
- 47:06Speaker 4: Seems like he kind of stepped in it here and
- 47:09Speaker 4: Yowie writes for the athletic, which is like New York post.
- 47:11Speaker 4: So it's like a big national, I mean, New York times.
- 47:14Speaker 4: So it goes out to a lot of people when
- 47:16Speaker 4: he posts something. And I guess he, uh, he posted
- 47:20Speaker 4: that the Ben Kendall situation originally his post was that
- 47:22Speaker 4: it was, uh, a seizure of some kind.
- 47:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:26Speaker 4: And then he had to revise it like an hour later.
- 47:29Speaker 4: And it's, it's correct. It says my earlier version of
- 47:32Speaker 4: this article was incorrectly reported. What happened to Ben Kindle
- 47:36Speaker 4: on the team plane? He had a medical episode and
- 47:39Speaker 4: not necessarily a seizure.
- 47:42Speaker 5: Okay.
- 47:43Speaker 4: So I guess, you know, he kind of stepped in it.
- 47:46Speaker 4: Then he, he, Tweeted something here. Update on my story
- 47:49Speaker 4: with Kindle. Apologies for the mistake in an earlier version.
- 47:52Speaker 4: Info coming fast. And I misinterpreted something.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Oh.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Updated version here with the link back to the New
- 47:59Speaker 4: York Times athletic article.
- 48:00Speaker 2: So maybe Josh Yowie.
- 48:02Speaker 1: You know, who's covering the penguins heard from somebody on
- 48:06Speaker 1: the plane that like, I don't, I don't know what's
- 48:08Speaker 1: going on. It was like he was having a seizure
- 48:10Speaker 1: or something like that. And maybe, you know, he took
- 48:11Speaker 1: that and it was just like, he had a seizure
- 48:13Speaker 1: on the plane or something like that.
- 48:16Speaker 4: Just released just like such a generic. I mean, it's
- 48:18Speaker 4: a medical situation too. Like you can't be giving people's
- 48:21Speaker 4: medical information out that they don't want to share.
- 48:23Speaker 5: Right.
- 48:23Speaker 4: Which is crazy. Like you can't just do that randomly.
- 48:26Speaker 4: Especially if the team's not sharing it.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:29Speaker 2: And the Hoffmans are new.
- 48:30Speaker 4: I'm guessing Yoey's a little sweaty about the situation, right?
- 48:33Speaker 2: That's true, too. I didn't think about that. New ownership
- 48:36Speaker 2: over there?
- 48:37Speaker 5: Yikes.
- 48:38Speaker 2: They might not.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Have a good grasp of the media landscape and who's
- 48:42Speaker 1: covering the team as somebody who's been in front office
- 48:46Speaker 1: for years and years. Again, we don't know, like, confirmed
- 48:50Speaker 1: anything that happened to Ben Kindle other than his condition.
- 48:53Speaker 2: It's not really in our business either. That's the thing. Yeah.
- 48:57Speaker 2: And this is obviously something that's bigger than hockey.
- 49:00Speaker 1: And, oh, I hope he can be back by the
- 49:02Speaker 1: time the Penguins can turn this.
- 49:04Speaker 2: You know, it's just like, yeah, he's 19 years old.
- 49:06Speaker 2: You hope the kid's okay.
- 49:08Speaker 1: You hope whatever did happen on the plane or whatever's
- 49:10Speaker 1: going with him mentally or medically is not that big
- 49:15Speaker 1: of a deal. But all the best to Ben Kindle
- 49:18Speaker 1: and obviously the Penguins and their all going through it.
- 49:20Speaker 1: They practiced today up in Cranberry. And then Thursday is
- 49:25Speaker 1: Pride Night. against the Florida Panthers. If you haven't seen, obviously,
- 49:28Speaker 1: with Pride Night, you can buy a special ticket. They
- 49:31Speaker 1: have a Pride Night Penguins hoodie that they did this year.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I remember last year, they had jerseys, Pride Night jerseys.
- 49:38Speaker 1: This year, if you buy a special ticket, you can
- 49:41Speaker 1: get the Pens. uh, pride night hoodie. I bring this
- 49:44Speaker 1: up though, because it's a sweet looking hoodie. Also, let's
- 49:46Speaker 1: get to this talk back message here.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Hey, Mikey and Bob for say something nice. I wanted
- 49:51Speaker 3: to thank the both of you and also give a
- 49:54Speaker 3: shout out to my son, Drew. Thanks to both of
- 49:56Speaker 3: you for fostering a welcoming and inclusive community. And to
- 50:00Speaker 3: my son, Drew, because he is Thursday nights featured artist
- 50:04Speaker 3: for the Pittsburgh penguins pride night. He designed the hoodie
- 50:08Speaker 3: and I'm super excited for him. And thanks again to
- 50:10Speaker 3: you both. Happy birthday, Bob, but also happy birthday, Mikey.
- 50:14Speaker 3: Why not?
- 50:15Speaker 2: All right. Thank you. She was nice, Mike. Wonderful lady.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 50:21Speaker 1: All right.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Say something nice. Say something nice. That's awesome. That's your
- 50:26Speaker 2: kid's work. That's what that is. That's so cool.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Like when we first saw that, I didn't even know
- 50:31Speaker 1: your kid made it.
- 50:32Speaker 2: No, neither did I. I had no clue. Oh, yeah.
- 50:35Speaker 2: She sent me a message on Instagram here, too.
- 50:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Sometime back I heard an anti-trans commercial during your show
- 50:42Speaker 1: and tweeted you. You guys immediately reacted and worked to
- 50:44Speaker 1: have it taken down. I was so upset and you
- 50:46Speaker 1: made it better just by your reaction. My son who's
- 50:49Speaker 1: trans is the Penguins featured artist for the Pride Night
- 50:51Speaker 1: hoodie Thursday night. Thanks to you guys for fostering a
- 50:53Speaker 1: community of acceptance. So a salute to Drew and thank
- 50:57Speaker 1: you for the message, Lauren. And I mean, before we
- 50:59Speaker 1: even knew it had some little like weird connection to
- 51:03Speaker 1: our show.
- 51:04Speaker 2: I was like, that hoodie just looks cool.
- 51:06Speaker 1: It's awesome. Also, it's not going to fit me or Bob.
- 51:09Speaker 1: They don't come in our size, but they're pretty sweet.
- 51:11Speaker 1: If you want to get one tomorrow as the Penn
- 51:14Speaker 1: celebrate pride night taken on the Florida Panthers.
- 51:17Speaker 2: That is tomorrow. It's Mikey and Bob. nice fall day
- 51:23Speaker 2: out there today chilly.
- 51:24Speaker 1: This morning but obviously it's warming up as the sun
- 51:27Speaker 1: comes out highs today in the upper 60s it is
- 51:30Speaker 1: mikey and bob here on 96 one kiss one person
- 51:33Speaker 1: in custody yesterday police were responding on pitts campus to
- 51:37Speaker 1: uh threats at uh posvar hall um it's just it's
- 51:41Speaker 1: weird now with uh daughter that goes there i just
- 51:44Speaker 1: get like sent me a screenshot of like the text
- 51:47Speaker 1: alert she got. She's just like, Hey, if you guys
- 51:50Speaker 1: see this, just know I'm okay. It's like, Oh yeah, that's,
- 51:54Speaker 1: that's right. Like, all right.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Thanks for checking in. I forgot how we do this.
- 51:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 51:58Speaker 1: So one person was arrested. There was a big, uh, police, uh,
- 52:02Speaker 1: presence and everything. And yes, threats were made toward a
- 52:05Speaker 1: department inside. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not sure how serious the
- 52:09Speaker 1: threat was, but serious enough that one person has been, uh,
- 52:13Speaker 1: apprehended in the threat. Also, a cell phone ban for
- 52:18Speaker 1: the entire school day is closer.
- 52:21Speaker 2: In Pennsylvania here.
- 52:22Speaker 1: It passed the House on Monday with a bipartisan vote. And,
- 52:28Speaker 1: you know, there's plenty of states that already have this.
- 52:31Speaker 1: There are some school districts around here that already have
- 52:34Speaker 1: a complete school day cell phone ban. Yeah.
- 52:37Speaker 2: And we're just getting closer to having it.
- 52:39Speaker 1: You know, officially like statewide, officially no cell phones during
- 52:44Speaker 1: the school day. And then there is the Allegheny County Council.
- 52:48Speaker 1: They have approved a massive landmark decision requiring employees with
- 52:54Speaker 1: at least 15 workers to provide 12 weeks of paid
- 52:59Speaker 1: paternal leave to eligible new parents. When you just hear that,
- 53:05Speaker 1: you think, that's great. This is what we should be doing.
- 53:09Speaker 1: This is what other countries do. And then, of course,
- 53:13Speaker 1: you're going to have the other side, which is the
- 53:15Speaker 1: business owners and the small businesses say, hey, there's no way.
- 53:19Speaker 2: We can do this.
- 53:20Speaker 1: And it's much like I feel like guns in our
- 53:22Speaker 1: country where it's like, there's no way we can fix this.
- 53:24Speaker 2: It's like, We're the only country that does this. Yes,
- 53:28Speaker 2: we can fix this. I don't fully agree on this,
- 53:30Speaker 2: but there's probably one way it should be. So, yeah.
- 53:33Speaker 1: So, you know, there's a bunch of different rules for
- 53:35Speaker 1: it and everything like that. And you have to be
- 53:36Speaker 1: an employee for a certain amount of time and everything.
- 53:39Speaker 1: But county executive Sarah Inamorato was, you know, one of
- 53:43Speaker 1: the proponents of it. It passed with an 11 to
- 53:45Speaker 1: 4 vote. Allegheny County is the first county in the
- 53:50Speaker 1: nation to independently mandate paid paternal leave.
- 53:55Speaker 2: It's a big deal.
- 53:56Speaker 1: It is like, we're not talking about this being law across.
- 54:00Speaker 1: We're the first county in the entire country to do this.
- 54:04Speaker 2: That's a pretty big deal. Okay. Like it's different.
- 54:07Speaker 1: And I know Pittsburgh's definitely not the city that likes
- 54:09Speaker 1: change or anything like that, but I think it's a
- 54:12Speaker 1: pretty good thing that they're, they're doing this and, you know,
- 54:15Speaker 1: brand new parents can spend more time at home with
- 54:19Speaker 1: their kids. And the other thing is, Depending on what
- 54:24Speaker 1: kind of job you have and everything like that, so
- 54:26Speaker 1: many things can be done remote. Sitting in an office
- 54:31Speaker 1: for 10 hours for a lot of people is just
- 54:33Speaker 1: an archaic way of working nowadays.
- 54:36Speaker 2: That's so true. Yeah, you're right.
- 54:38Speaker 1: There's plenty of time where I'm just doing work on
- 54:40Speaker 1: my phone and my wife, Jamie, will be like, Why
- 54:42Speaker 1: are you on your phone so much? Be like, I
- 54:44Speaker 1: got to post videos and do stuff like I'm editing video.
- 54:47Speaker 2: It's like I'm working, but I'm also not, you know? Right.
- 54:51Speaker 1: But it's a big deal. Allegheny County is the first
- 54:54Speaker 1: county to do it. And we'll obviously see how it
- 54:56Speaker 1: all plays out. But there's a ramp up time. They're
- 54:58Speaker 1: going to have like a year to comply and be
- 55:00Speaker 1: able to get all their finances and everything all lined up. So,
- 55:05Speaker 1: you know, hopefully it doesn't really affect businesses either. you know,
- 55:09Speaker 1: that much, but also prepare a little bit. It's not
- 55:13Speaker 1: that crazy from the rest of the world and how
- 55:16Speaker 1: they operate with paid time off.
- 55:19Speaker 2: All right, Cam Hayward has got more to say about
- 55:21Speaker 2: the Steelers.
- 55:22Speaker 1: He was on the Rich Eisen show yesterday talking about
- 55:26Speaker 1: how funny it is that Aaron Rodgers is playing with
- 55:28Speaker 1: a lot of kids now who he played against their fathers.
- 55:32Speaker 2: We'll get to that around 855.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Got a chance for you to win $ 1, 000 around 910.
- 55:37Speaker 2: And then we'll get down to Florida.
- 55:39Speaker 1: For a story that happened at a Walmart pet aisle
- 55:44Speaker 1: down in Florida. We'll get to that around 925. It's
- 55:47Speaker 1: Mikey and Bob.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Hey, Steelers got some help in the wide receiver room.
- 55:54Speaker 2: You see that? 32-year-old veteran wide receiver. He's back. Marquez Valdez-Scantling. Oh,
- 56:01Speaker 2: that guy. Is he Rodgers' friend?
- 56:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he played in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers for
- 56:06Speaker 1: a little while.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Mike McCarthy. He was here last year, wasn't he? Yeah,
- 56:09Speaker 2: he played five games last year. And then he got...
- 56:12Speaker 2: Who was he with? He was with the Chargers. They
- 56:14Speaker 2: released him on Saturday. So, Coach McCarthy... Hey, you want
- 56:18Speaker 2: your buddy? You want your buddy back? We'll get him back.
- 56:21Speaker 2: We'll get him back. Hey, he just got released. We'll
- 56:23Speaker 2: get him back.
- 56:24Speaker 11: No.
- 56:25Speaker 1: So he's going to be back with the team, fill
- 56:28Speaker 1: in some wide receiver depth there. Also, NFL executive Peter
- 56:32Speaker 1: O'Reilly said yesterday, league is coordinating with the U.S. State
- 56:35Speaker 1: Department and authorities overseas, obviously with the protests that are
- 56:39Speaker 1: going on in Paris over rising living costs and, you know,
- 56:44Speaker 1: public services declining there.
- 56:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Not a great situation so people have been uh protesting
- 56:50Speaker 1: a lot of it peaceful some of it not.
- 56:52Speaker 4: Yeah dude i don't think the story that the story
- 56:55Speaker 4: isn't just like oh they're player safe and like is
- 56:59Speaker 4: is the game all right it's like how it's the
- 57:02Speaker 4: fans that are going over there to see the game
- 57:04Speaker 4: and like having to stay across the city and across
- 57:08Speaker 4: the way and exploring areas they're not familiar with like
- 57:12Speaker 4: The NFL doesn't care. They'll get the players. I'm sure
- 57:14Speaker 4: they have private security staff. There's no worries about that.
- 57:19Speaker 2: You're right, though.
- 57:19Speaker 4: The game going off. Even the players' families and stuff
- 57:23Speaker 4: like that. I saw TJ Watt's wife said something like,
- 57:28Speaker 4: how's this happening?
- 57:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:30Speaker 2: How's this game still going on? You're right, though. It
- 57:32Speaker 2: doesn't seem.
- 57:33Speaker 1: You know, the concern's not really for the players as
- 57:37Speaker 1: much as it is the random yinzers that are going
- 57:39Speaker 1: to be over there staying places that are away from
- 57:43Speaker 1: maybe where the Steelers are staying.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Or something like that. Tuned up Donnie wandering the streets
- 57:47Speaker 2: at 3 a.m. We're going to have some yinzers getting
- 57:50Speaker 2: to a revolution, by the way, over there.
- 57:52Speaker 1: There's going to be some people who join the cause,
- 57:55Speaker 1: and we lose them. There's going to be some yinzers
- 57:57Speaker 1: over there. Donnie comes home, Balenciaga. He's all decked out.
- 58:03Speaker 1: I went out at 3 a.m. They were looting.
- 58:05Speaker 2: I said, I'll take a jacket.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Somebody told me there's free shoes, so I went over
- 58:11Speaker 1: Balenciaga store.
- 58:14Speaker 2: You're right, man. There's going to be some yinzer over there. Wait, wait,
- 58:17Speaker 2: hold on. Where's everybody going? You know, like a bar
- 58:19Speaker 2: lets out or something?
- 58:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 58:20Speaker 2: Where's everybody going? What are we doing? What's going on?
- 58:23Speaker 1: Whoa, hold on.
- 58:25Speaker 2: We're throwing stuff? Hey, we're throwing a couple things. All right.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Next thing you know, you're in the revolution, man. It's
- 58:31Speaker 2: more fan safety than... I think the players or whatever else.
- 58:35Speaker 1: By the way, what we're doing here, Bob, I mean,
- 58:37Speaker 1: it sounds like we're milking Steelers content. It sounds like
- 58:41Speaker 1: that's what we're doing. It sounds like we're milking Steelers
- 58:43Speaker 1: content right there. You want to do it for real
- 58:45Speaker 1: with Cam Hayward here?
- 58:47Speaker 2: Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk the Steelers content. Milk, milk, milk, milk,
- 58:52Speaker 2: milk the Steelers content.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Cam Hayward was on the Rich Eisen show yesterday talking
- 58:56Speaker 1: about the AFC North, how everybody's got a winning record.
- 58:59Speaker 12: All four teams above. 500. what did that win coming
- 59:03Speaker 12: from 16-3 down to win this thing in overtime tell
- 59:06Speaker 12: you about your team, Cam?
- 59:08Speaker 6: We're never out of it. We give ourselves a chance.
- 59:11Speaker 6: In this division we're in, you have Cleveland playing very well.
- 59:15Speaker 6: You have Baltimore. You have Cincinnati. The race is on.
- 59:20Speaker 6: You got to make sure we have our best foot forward.
- 59:22Speaker 6: We can show we can come down from any circumstances
- 59:25Speaker 6: and bounce back. AFC North is where it's at. The
- 59:28Speaker 6: kitchen is hot, and we've got to bring our best
- 59:31Speaker 6: stuff going forward.
- 59:32Speaker 2: I love how Tomlin-isms still stick around with guys like Cam.
- 59:36Speaker 2: Can't shake them. Kitchen's hot.
- 59:38Speaker 1: AFC North Hot Kitchen, that's a Tomlin right there as
- 59:41Speaker 1: we continue to.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Miss, miss, miss, miss, miss the Steelers content. And there
- 59:46Speaker 2: was Cam Hayward.
- 59:48Speaker 1: On the Rich Eisen show, he was sort of laughing
- 59:50Speaker 1: about Aaron Rodgers because there was that one player, Trottier,
- 59:53Speaker 1: who Aaron Rodgers played against his dad. There was the
- 59:56Speaker 1: moment that was caught where they were sort of face-to-face
- 59:58Speaker 1: where he was just like, hey, I played with your dad.
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: I know your dad. He's done that a few times.
- 1:00:02Speaker 10: He knows everybody's dad. Man, he probably knew my dad
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: if my dad was still alive. There's plenty of old
- 1:00:09Speaker 10: people Aaron knows and has played against.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got to the point with Aaron Rodgers where
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: he is playing against the children of players he played
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: against when he first started his career. Tell your dad
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I said hey. And then Cam Hayward on the Rich
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Eisen podcast. He's talking about the wins, talking about stacking
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: them up. We're talking about pancakes again.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: We talk about stacking performances.
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: Creating that short stack. It's a short stack right now.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: I want to make it five or six pancakes, but
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: we've got some work to do. We've been able to
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: take care of our job at home, but this is
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: our first win on the road. It was nothing short
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: of adversity, but I'm glad to say.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: We got the W.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: And now the pancakes go over to Paris as we
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: continue to try to stack. Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: the Steelers content.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk the Steelers content.

- 1:01:21Speaker 1: happening in December, Madison Square Garden. It's coming up in
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: just a minute here on 96.1 KISS. It's Mikey and Bob.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Let's get to a couple of your talkback messages brought
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: to us by The Pavement Group.
- 1:01:30Speaker 11: Well, hello, Mikey and Bob. It's Michelle from San Francisco,
- 1:01:35Speaker 11: originally from Beaver County. I couldn't sleep, so I'm up
- 1:01:38Speaker 11: extra early on the West Coast. So I'm listening live,
- 1:01:42Speaker 11: and it's been quite fun.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Sure.
- 1:01:44Speaker 11: For some reason, you guys talking about dropping pumpkins on
- 1:01:47Speaker 11: cars made me think of boo baskets.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Yeah, we were talking about that yesterday. I think it
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: was a Pittsburgh police scanner or something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: You were talking about people dropping pumpkins on cars and
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: stuff like that. Boo baskets, though.
- 1:01:59Speaker 11: I loved doing them in my neighborhood growing up, and
- 1:02:02Speaker 11: I still give them out, of course, and love to
- 1:02:04Speaker 11: receive them. Do you guys have Boo Basket experience?
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Love the show. Yeah. I think when my neighborhood was
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: a little younger and, you know, a lot of the
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: younger parents were having kids and stuff and our neighborhood
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: was more populated with younger kids.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: There was probably a good five-year run in my neighborhood
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: where boo baskets were hot.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Yeah. I think so, too, with me. And it just
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: went round and round and round, you know?
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Yeah, boo baskets, that's when you leave, like, a little
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: bag of candy or a box of candy for, like,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: one of your neighbors, and then you put a ghost
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: on their door.
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Sort of different versions of it, and you say.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Oh, you've been booed.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Now you got to pass it on. You pass it on.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: So then the neighborhood ends up booing each other. Is
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: this just a way for adults to get candy? It
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: seems like a way for adults to just get candy.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: You know, we can't be out there trick or treating.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Let's do boo baskets. You know, you do.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: It a couple of weeks before Halloween. Now, when I
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: was in my neighborhood.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I would just I take the boo baskets and I
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: would never make one.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Oh, well, it's not a good neighbor. I didn't ask
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: for it either.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: So if you're going to boo me, don't expect.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: To boo back. Oh, we were booing everybody. You were
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: booing the block? We had a good run, dude. I'm
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: telling you, my neighborhood had a good run for the
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: boo baskets. It's probably been a couple of years, though.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Before we get to a $ 1, 000 giveaway here, let's hear
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: from our buddy Raccoon Tim. All right. Haven't heard from
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Raccoon Tim in a little while here. Of course, Raccoon Tim,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: good friend of the show. He loves raccoons and pretty
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: much all the animals.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Hey, Mikey and Big Bob. It's your boy, Raccoon Tim. So,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Mikey and Bob.

- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Well, actually, I just left work.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: All right. The best and funnest part of my job.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Guys, I'm going animal shopping. I don't know if this
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: is a good idea, is it? Or animal shopping? Where
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: he works, there were animals, right?
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: Like, he had, like, pets that they put him in
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: charge of, taken care of?
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: I think there was a room where he worked at
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: where there was, like, guinea pigs or something like that, maybe?
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. We had Ne-Yo. A hairless guinea pig.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: It was Neo the hairless guinea pig. That's what it was.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Passed away.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh, man.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: I can't believe it. It is.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Send him. Yeah, send Neo the hairless.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Oh, damn! Neo the hairless guinea pig. It's gone.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: You were the guinea pig at Raccoon Tim's work.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: Work guinea pig. I miss you, Neo. I miss you.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: I didn't know what to say. I got caught up
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: in the air. I didn't know what to say. It's
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: guinea pig. It's guinea pig. It probably should have been it,
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: but it's okay.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: All right, let's hear from the rest of Raccoon Tim here.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Now I got to buy a new guinea pig. Oh, yeah.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Huh?
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: I love animal shopping. All right, so... Tim's out guinea
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: pig shopping right now?
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Getting paid i think he's on the clock and he's
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: looking for guinea pigs this is like it's dream that's
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: why he left his message because he got out of
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: work and he's like oh my god guys they're letting
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: me buy a.

- 1:05:40Speaker 1: It's Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS. There's always
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: weird things happening down in the state of Florida, right?
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Florida story's been a staple of our show for years now.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Let's get down to Florida.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: Attention all listeners of The Freak Show. It's time to
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: travel to the Sunshine State. Yes! It happened again. It's
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: another Florida story. Down to Florida we go.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: St.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Petersburg. Investigators say 29-year-old man was in the pet aisle.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: of a walmart florida walmart man.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Yeah lawless lawless point really is lawless it is that's
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: where you want to see some things or it can
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: be yeah yeah yeah uh the man grabbed two medium-sized
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: stuffed dog toys they were lamb chop dog chews okay
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: and he started rubbing them on himself oh there's no
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: need for that Security cameras caught him in the act
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: again with the medium-sized lamb chop dog chews.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: Were they squeaking?
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: I mean, probably. If he's rubbing, they're squeaking. He's hearing
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: from a couple aisles away. You're like, what is going
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: on over there? You can't bring your dog into Walmart, though,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: you know? You can't get a hold of a toy
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: over there.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: This isn't like big pet stores, you know?
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: You can't go in a pet store with your pet.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Sure, a lot of times that's fine.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: You can't take your dog into Walmart, you know? Thinking, man,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: somebody brought their dog into Walmart? Then you go in
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: the next aisle. Just a 29-year-old Florida man over there
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: honking off.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: He's honking all right. So he refused... To leave the store. Oh, man.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: And continued rubbing himself with dog toys in the middle
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: of the pet island.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Florida, man.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: At a Walmart down in Florida. He was arrested and
