- 0:08Speaker 1: Terrible advice. Hello, welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Shooter, and every Thursday or most
- 0:22Speaker 1: Thursdays when I don't mess up the technical stuff. Let's
- 0:25Speaker 1: be clear here, most Thursdays. A dear friend, Mark Lupo
- 0:30Speaker 1: joins us. Hey, Lupy are you there? Lupi lewis here,
- 0:35Speaker 1: Hey Lupy Lou you look great. I haven't seen you
- 0:38Speaker 1: in so long. In personal, I was thinking about that
- 0:40Speaker 1: a couple of days ago. We have to get a
- 0:41Speaker 1: drink on some night. I know, I mean, it feels
- 0:44Speaker 1: like I see you every week virtually. It does, but
- 0:46Speaker 1: it's not the same. It is not the same. Although
- 0:49Speaker 1: we have to admit before we hit record, we do
- 0:51Speaker 1: have a good twenty minutes catch up. We love to gavate.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. It's not mean. You know.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Some people think gossip is a terrible thing, and I
- 1:00Speaker 1: get it. Some people are like, oh, stop gossiping. That
- 1:03Speaker 1: person is a terrible gossip. I find that gossip is
- 1:07Speaker 1: really helpful in my life. Gossip talking about people being
- 1:11Speaker 1: interested in people. It doesn't have to be mean gossip.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Let's be clear about that. But I think gossip is
- 1:17Speaker 1: something that makes the world go around. It's like, dare
- 1:20Speaker 1: I say, a lubricrant. It's something that makes things just
- 1:23Speaker 1: slide into place a little bit more easy. I think.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I think so too. It's just like having a drink
- 1:28Speaker 1: at the bar, you know. It's way to connect with
- 1:31Speaker 1: people and have fun. It's all lighthearted, no means spirited
- 1:34Speaker 1: things here, That's what it is. I think that's the
- 1:36Speaker 1: reason the show has become such a success is that
- 1:39Speaker 1: what we are doing right now is exactly what we
- 1:42Speaker 1: did before we hit record and what we will do
- 1:45Speaker 1: when we finally get together at Batina's for a drink
- 1:48Speaker 1: a little bit of personal stuff before we start the show.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Are you still dating? Are you still I'm still dating?
- 1:54Speaker 1: The double date went really well, Dad, you go us
- 1:57Speaker 1: starting to text you but I thought would be too much. No,
- 1:59Speaker 1: it was really he he loves my friends, he loves
- 2:02Speaker 1: he's really good efforts to be friendly and yeah, he's
- 2:05Speaker 1: really going out this Saturday and for another day another
- 2:10Speaker 1: When do you think the time might have rise when
- 2:13Speaker 1: he meets your best friend Rob? Maybe one day will
- 2:18Speaker 1: have on the podcast like a quick like intro or
- 2:21Speaker 1: just a quick intrip, or maybe just the name reveal
- 2:24Speaker 1: or just I remember when Star is Your Mommy was
- 2:27Speaker 1: a little bit nervous about going live, so she pre
- 2:29Speaker 1: recorded Hello, maybe he could do that. I like the
- 2:33Speaker 1: reveal idea that we could we could really this for
- 2:36Speaker 1: a while. Yeah, imagine if it was Brad Pitt Davidson.
- 2:44Speaker 1: It would be delicious. Let's jump into the shame and
- 2:47Speaker 1: cut suit. Which girl to get to? What time is it?
- 2:49Speaker 1: My friends? It is tea time. So Kate Middleton took
- 2:52Speaker 1: off her engagement ring of no during a recent Royal outing,
- 2:57Speaker 1: so Royal fans were kicked her. Notice the one particular
- 3:00Speaker 1: accessory was missing from Kate's hand, her engagement ring. Now
- 3:05Speaker 1: Katherine and her husband's that's what they call her in Britain.
- 3:08Speaker 1: We call her Kate, but they call her Katherine. I
- 3:10Speaker 1: guess now that you know, she's closer to being queen,
- 3:14Speaker 1: isn't she. So I think Katherine sounds a little bit
- 3:16Speaker 1: more regal, but on this show she will always be Kate.
- 3:19Speaker 1: So Kate and her husband William, they attended the grand
- 3:23Speaker 1: opening of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. I've been to Liverpool,
- 3:27Speaker 1: it's a really fun city and they got a chance
- 3:29Speaker 1: there to talk with the healthcare workers, some patients, they
- 3:33Speaker 1: went to visit the mental health facility. They're all lovely,
- 3:36Speaker 1: but she was not wearing her ring wealth fear not
- 3:40Speaker 1: royal admirers. I know what you're thinking. It turns out
- 3:44Speaker 1: she had removed her rings as a health and safety precaution,
- 3:49Speaker 1: so she was not wearing them. But the reason she
- 3:52Speaker 1: wasn't wearing them is because of health and safety. If
- 3:55Speaker 1: you noticed, the last time Kate visited a hospital, it
- 3:59Speaker 1: was in London in twenty twenty. She didn't have her
- 4:02Speaker 1: rings on there, so nothing to worry about here. It's
- 4:06Speaker 1: all about safety rules. And I know this feels like
- 4:09Speaker 1: one of those big no stories, like we did this
- 4:11Speaker 1: story and there's really nothing. They're the reason we did
- 4:14Speaker 1: it is you're going to hear about this. Lots of tabloids,
- 4:18Speaker 1: lots of those naughty websites which I love, are going
- 4:21Speaker 1: to do big, blaring headlines that Kate took off hurrying. Well,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you naughties, you won't beat ahead of them, because when
- 4:29Speaker 1: you see that story, you could giggle knowing they're fine.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I love that, Rob. You know it's so true. Tabloids
- 4:36Speaker 1: can really run with these kind of stories. But you know,
- 4:38Speaker 1: I think it's really fascinating. Ever since Harry revealed that
- 4:41Speaker 1: the family is obsessed with the press that I always
- 4:44Speaker 1: kind of think, well, what do they think when they're
- 4:46Speaker 1: going into these kind of scenarios. They know that people
- 4:48Speaker 1: are going to be reacting. They know that people are
- 4:50Speaker 1: caring about this. Yes, yes, they know. I think they do.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Not I'd wear gloves or something like my rings hub
- 4:57Speaker 1: to wear gloves talking about react and to them, Mark,
- 5:01Speaker 1: I just got minutes ago a new pole out of
- 5:04Speaker 1: Britain showing the Prince of Wales. That's Williams. Popularity has
- 5:09Speaker 1: plummeted since the publication of Harry's book. These numbers are
- 5:12Speaker 1: really interesting. I'm reading them live right now. So the
- 5:15Speaker 1: Prince of Wales ratings went down eight percentage points, while
- 5:20Speaker 1: his brothers, Harris they also dropped. So there's no winners here.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Harry dropped seven points, William dropped eight. Let's have a
- 5:28Speaker 1: look see if we can find Kate's or yes, so
- 5:31Speaker 1: Kate also to She dropped seven points, Megan dropped five.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But overall here don't be too worried about Kate and
- 5:41Speaker 1: William because their numbers are still really high. Look at
- 5:44Speaker 1: this in the UK they rate six and sixty percent,
- 5:49Speaker 1: so that's really good. Harry's favorability in the UK at
- 5:53Speaker 1: the moment is just twenty three percent. So I think overall,
- 5:56Speaker 1: just seeing these numbers a moment ago, nobody benefited from
- 6:01Speaker 1: this book. It hurt Harry, hurt the whales is And ultimately,
- 6:05Speaker 1: though Harry and Megan's numbers are way way lower than
- 6:09Speaker 1: William and Kate's, are you surprised? You know, I woun't
- 6:12Speaker 1: imagine they're similar to the numbers here in the US,
- 6:15Speaker 1: because a lot of them, my friends, colleagues were all
- 6:18Speaker 1: sick of them as well. We're burnt out, and I
- 6:20Speaker 1: think I look at Harry now in a very different way.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I think I do too, and I look at William
- 6:25Speaker 1: in a different way. The whole thing. You know, I
- 6:29Speaker 1: love a hero of a story, Mark, whenever we tell
- 6:32Speaker 1: a story, whenever we read what I love a hero.
- 6:36Speaker 1: There's no hero to this story. Everybody comes across just awful,
- 6:40Speaker 1: don't they. Nobody's really coming across that well, and and
- 6:45Speaker 1: New Poles certainly shows that too. Hey, let's figure out
- 6:48Speaker 1: what you think. The only Pole I care about is
- 6:50Speaker 1: what you naughties think. So let's do our pole of
- 6:52Speaker 1: the day, Kate has taken off her engagement ring Royal visit.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I question is do you ever take off your engagement ring?
- 7:03Speaker 1: It's about you today. I want to know about do
- 7:05Speaker 1: you take off your ring? I wear a wedding ring.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I don't have an engagement ring. It never leaves my finger.
- 7:13Speaker 1: It's like glued. I don't think I could take it off, Mark,
- 7:15Speaker 1: he said, I got a little bigger since I put
- 7:17Speaker 1: it on. I'm not sure it could come off now. Mark.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I know it's very early on in your relationship, but
- 7:24Speaker 1: the time when rings arrive, do you think you'll be
- 7:27Speaker 1: somebody that pops it on and offer Will it always
- 7:30Speaker 1: be on? That's a great question too. I think I'll
- 7:33Speaker 1: pop it on and leave it. You know what I
- 7:35Speaker 1: have like a golden necklace. I wear and it just
- 7:37Speaker 1: leave it on every day and I forget about it
- 7:39Speaker 1: and I just lose things very easily. So I take
- 7:43Speaker 1: it off. It's going to be gone forever. Where's the
- 7:45Speaker 1: gold necklace from? Mark? I've noticed that ranch your neck.
- 7:48Speaker 1: My mom got it from me. It's lovely, Doris, I'm
- 7:53Speaker 1: the same size. If you just want to know, Okay,
- 7:56Speaker 1: let's move a lug what's going on with Cardi B
- 8:00Speaker 1: and Kinkai. Oh my god, this story is too good. Okay,
- 8:03Speaker 1: So Kardi B says Kim Kardashian has given her plastic
- 8:06Speaker 1: surgery recommendations. Oh my god, Okay, let me explain what
- 8:11Speaker 1: she means here. So when Cardi B was asked how
- 8:13Speaker 1: she was able to find good docs when she could
- 8:15Speaker 1: trust to work on her face and body, she says
- 8:18Speaker 1: she phoned a couple of the names Kim Kardashian gave her. Okay,
- 8:23Speaker 1: this is not gonna like this, so rob we know.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Kim has claimed she's never made any speaks to her
- 8:27Speaker 1: appearance except for some lasers and a little botox. Girl girl,
- 8:32Speaker 1: Kim Um. Kim has even as gone as far as
- 8:34Speaker 1: to say, quote, I've never filled my cheeks, I've never
- 8:38Speaker 1: filled my lips. Okay. Anyway, So Cardi touched on the
- 8:42Speaker 1: work that she's had done since the birth of her
- 8:45Speaker 1: son Waves. She said, a lot of people thought when
- 8:47Speaker 1: I gave birth, I automatically went to get surgery, but no,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I literally waited like seven months to do seven months.
- 8:55Speaker 1: That's a very long time, Kardi, that she would have
- 8:57Speaker 1: to say. The tricky thing about people is that they
- 9:00Speaker 1: assume you do surgery or something, that you're insecure about yourself,
- 9:03Speaker 1: that you hate yourself, and that's just not the truth.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Oh man, that could be that could be true, couldn't it.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Like a lot of people do plastic surgery to make changes,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and they don't necessarily hate themselves, but they do they
- 9:14Speaker 1: do want to make a change. Or two. What's fascinated
- 9:17Speaker 1: about this is that you know, kid gave her the
- 9:20Speaker 1: numbers of all her doctors and her doctors that she's
- 9:23Speaker 1: not used by the way she plays. Why she got
- 9:26Speaker 1: all those numbers in your phone? Do you have numbers
- 9:29Speaker 1: marking your phone of professionals that you've never used? Do
- 9:33Speaker 1: you have a flourish you've never used or a restaurant
- 9:35Speaker 1: you've never been to. Like if you go through my
- 9:37Speaker 1: phone and all the numbers in my phone I've used there,
- 9:41Speaker 1: not just there for reference mark of course, and especially
- 9:44Speaker 1: you're giving you're giving a reference for a plastic surgery,
- 9:47Speaker 1: and you have to make sure that this person is
- 9:49Speaker 1: like legitimate, you can you can trust them. I would
- 9:51Speaker 1: never give a person a number I couldn't verify. Mean,
- 9:56Speaker 1: while these numbers are gold, kids a chair that's on
- 10:01Speaker 1: your blog because the two of you look fabulous. I
- 10:05Speaker 1: saw a really interesting Kim story that just popped up too.
- 10:08Speaker 1: She bought a piece of Princess Diana's jewelry collection. So
- 10:12Speaker 1: a famous cross that Diana wore went up for auction
- 10:15Speaker 1: at Southern Bers and Kim quietly bought it for two
- 10:20Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars. I'm told that since wearing the Marilyn
- 10:24Speaker 1: Monroe dress, Kim started to almost collect this celebrity fashion jewelry,
- 10:32Speaker 1: all the stuff around the big stars. And I'm told,
- 10:35Speaker 1: actually she has other stuff. She has something from Elizabeth
- 10:38Speaker 1: Taylor's in her collection. We know Princess Diana, we know
- 10:42Speaker 1: Marilyn Monroe. Kim, it might be a really good investment,
- 10:45Speaker 1: so that that's never going to go down in value.
- 10:47Speaker 1: And I almost feel like she has to now reinvent
- 10:49Speaker 1: herself without Kanye and find a new way to kind
- 10:52Speaker 1: of get attention. This feels like the next step for her,
- 10:54Speaker 1: you know, it just doesn't She should open up a museum.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Didn't Debbie Reynolds do that? All the costumes from showbiz movies,
- 11:04Speaker 1: from musical Yeah, I mean I would go with you.
- 11:06Speaker 1: We can go in Kardashian Presents, Old Hollywood. I would
- 11:11Speaker 1: totally go. This story is while so Jennifer Lopez is
- 11:14Speaker 1: revealing that she was supposed to be part of the
- 11:17Speaker 1: Madonna Brittany spears iconic kiss. If you remember, it's actually
- 11:21Speaker 1: all the way back now. In two thousand and three,
- 11:24Speaker 1: at the MTV Awards, Brittany, Madonna, and Christina Aguilera kissed
- 11:29Speaker 1: on stage. J Loo is now saying it wasn't really
- 11:32Speaker 1: meant to be Christina Aguilera. It was meant to be me,
- 11:35Speaker 1: but I couldn't do it because I was filming in Canada.
- 11:38Speaker 1: But she had met with Madonna and Brittany at Madonna's
- 11:42Speaker 1: home to talk about it, and she said, I just
- 11:44Speaker 1: couldn't get out of filming. We talked about it. I
- 11:47Speaker 1: love Madonna. I'm a huge fan. I always have been.
- 11:50Speaker 1: In fact, Jalo's go to karaoke song is like a
- 11:54Speaker 1: Virginever you find yourself at karaoke with Jlo, that's her song.
- 11:58Speaker 1: But she couldn't make this kiss. Now some people are
- 12:01Speaker 1: pushing back, so and girl, this doesn't sound right like.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Brittany and Christina were such competitors that having them brought
- 12:09Speaker 1: together by Madonna was the whole point of this, I
- 12:13Speaker 1: do think too. We remember Madonna and Brittany, we don't
- 12:16Speaker 1: really remember Christina so much in this kiss. Had Jlo
- 12:20Speaker 1: been part of this threesome, maybe we would remember it.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I think I'm not saying Jennifer's not telling the truth here,
- 12:28Speaker 1: but I think the way that it ended up happening
- 12:32Speaker 1: was probably for the best. You know, thinking about the story,
- 12:35Speaker 1: it feels off brand for Jelo. I don't just think
- 12:38Speaker 1: her being involved in this. She's more I don't know
- 12:40Speaker 1: that's straight edge, but she's just that that kiss was dirty,
- 12:43Speaker 1: and that Christy regular at the time, has become dirty,
- 12:45Speaker 1: and it just made sense. The three then made perfect sense.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I'm glad it worked out the way it worked out.
- 12:50Speaker 1: You're right, there's something off brand about let's be honest
- 12:52Speaker 1: to Jlo doesn't share the spotlight. Jlo would kiss herself
- 12:56Speaker 1: like she was furious, but she had to share the
- 12:58Speaker 1: stage with Shakira. She was not happy about that. Jennifer
- 13:03Speaker 1: doesn't play these games like you'd never see Jennifer doing
- 13:06Speaker 1: a jew wear or a trio, And so I just
- 13:09Speaker 1: don't know if Jello would come out on stage of
- 13:11Speaker 1: the should like, get those two off and I'll come back.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I think there's something a little off about this. Hey,
- 13:16Speaker 1: moving on quickly before we get a break. What is
- 13:19Speaker 1: Jonathan Night up too with Lance Bass or that Lance
- 13:24Speaker 1: he's listening probably right now he listens. He doesn't talk
- 13:27Speaker 1: to me, you know, because I think he listens to
- 13:29Speaker 1: the show and I want to asked if I could
- 13:32Speaker 1: go on his podcast to plug my book. Absolutely not,
- 13:36Speaker 1: they would take me. Not a fan of my terrible
- 13:39Speaker 1: high Lance high Land. So Jonathan Night, he's throwund the
- 13:46Speaker 1: new kids in the block, he is for calling feeling
- 13:48Speaker 1: pressured to hide his sexuality. I believe it. M I
- 13:52Speaker 1: did too. So the singer claimed that on the Lance
- 13:55Speaker 1: Fast podcast. As we were saying that as manager once
- 13:58Speaker 1: advised him and not to say anything about being gay,
- 14:01Speaker 1: he said, quote he pulled me inside. I was like,
- 14:03Speaker 1: if anyone finds out your career is over, the new
- 14:06Speaker 1: kid's career is over, My career is over. He would
- 14:10Speaker 1: have to say that the stress built up and built
- 14:12Speaker 1: up and it was really crazy for him. What do
- 14:15Speaker 1: you think it makes me sad? Because I know that
- 14:18Speaker 1: this is absolutely the truth. And I'm sure Lance actually
- 14:21Speaker 1: went through this too and sinc and it was not
- 14:23Speaker 1: that long ago. We're so lucky. Mark. When I was
- 14:27Speaker 1: at school growing up, not that long ago, either, I
- 14:32Speaker 1: couldn't come out. It just wasn't everybody knew. But I
- 14:35Speaker 1: wasn't officially out in my early days in a jar
- 14:39Speaker 1: but work, and I worked for some gay gooses, like
- 14:42Speaker 1: some really really extravagant people. I was sort of not
- 14:46Speaker 1: in the closet, but I was ellen gay. I just
- 14:48Speaker 1: didn't ever talk about it. And so I loved that
- 14:51Speaker 1: the world has has changed so quickly and so much.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We still have a long way to go, but this
- 14:57Speaker 1: actually gives me hope. I don't think today, if you
- 15:01Speaker 1: put together a new boy band if one of the
- 15:04Speaker 1: members were gay, that that would be a problem. In fact,
- 15:07Speaker 1: maybe it would even help to have a band now
- 15:10Speaker 1: that was really diverse. When you were growing up, Mark,
- 15:13Speaker 1: you were not out at school or in your first job. No,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you know, I came out, I guess as a labelomer
- 15:19Speaker 1: in my early twenties, you know, having in a layered way.
- 15:23Speaker 1: But to your point, I agree. I almost think that
- 15:25Speaker 1: some people find queerness to be trendy now, and I
- 15:28Speaker 1: think they would almost want to have a gay member
- 15:30Speaker 1: because that's what's kind of reflecting what's happening in our world?
- 15:33Speaker 1: You know? Yeah, Harry Style gets criticized for that because
- 15:36Speaker 1: they say he's straight, but he loves to play in
- 15:38Speaker 1: the gaye genre of celebrity while dating women. It's very complicated,
- 15:44Speaker 1: isn't it. But this one made me sad, and then
- 15:46Speaker 1: when I thought about it, I'm happy to see how
- 15:48Speaker 1: far we have come. High Lands. Okay, we're gonna take
- 15:54Speaker 1: a quick break because not like me, and we will
- 15:56Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome to the naughty but nice Share.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I'm rubbed shooter and we have someone who does like me. Lupo. Hey,
- 16:09Speaker 1: let's get to the polls. Thank you very much. Last
- 16:14Speaker 1: year we talked about the royal family are going to
- 16:15Speaker 1: hold peace talks with Harry before King Charles's carry Nation.
- 16:20Speaker 1: A good idea, but can you trust Harry not to
- 16:23Speaker 1: leak the conversations. Let's have a look. He's going to
- 16:29Speaker 1: leak everything, and even people that like Harry, he's going
- 16:32Speaker 1: to loose lips. He can't be trusted, Harry. I think
- 16:36Speaker 1: it makes you sort of adorable, but they know everything
- 16:39Speaker 1: you say. He's going to text to Gail King Lucy. Good, Harry,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you're going to lock this Dad and then if the
- 16:48Speaker 1: peace talks fail, even if Harry can keep a lid
- 16:51Speaker 1: on it when the talks, if the talks fail, then
- 16:54Speaker 1: he'll expose everything that was said. He can't be trusted.
- 16:58Speaker 1: It can't be trusted. We can't. Sorry, sorry, Harry, you
- 17:01Speaker 1: can't be trusted. You can still be part of our
- 17:03Speaker 1: friendship group, but you can cont be trusted. Okay, don't
- 17:07Speaker 1: forget to vote on today's pole. Got Twitter page, on
- 17:11Speaker 1: Facebook page and Bamba shows to check back to morale
- 17:14Speaker 1: to hear your results. And now it's time for anast
- 17:19Speaker 1: of the day. Oh this is a very nice one. Rob,
- 17:24Speaker 1: it's Channing Tatum. Yeah, okay. So Channing Tatum revealed in
- 17:30Speaker 1: a new interview that he's eyeing a potential lead role
- 17:33Speaker 1: in the remake of the romance that started Patrick Squeezy,
- 17:37Speaker 1: which is of course Ghost. So he told that any fair,
- 17:40Speaker 1: He said, we have the rights to the film, we
- 17:42Speaker 1: have the rights to Ghost, and that we're going to
- 17:44Speaker 1: do something different. He said that the original movie included
- 17:47Speaker 1: some problematic stereotypes, but he thinks it needs to change
- 17:50Speaker 1: a little bit. Rob. This movie was released in of course.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Will Be Goldberg won her first Academy Award for it.
- 17:57Speaker 1: What do you think? Oh, I love this movie. I
