- 0:10Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a bonus episode
- 0:13Speaker 1: of Long Story Shorts podcast. I'm Megan, Hi, I'm Wendy,
- 0:17Speaker 1: and today we are discussing The twenty seven Hour Day,
- 0:20Speaker 1: the second in the August lineup of Summer Nights movies
- 0:25Speaker 1: from Hallmark. There are five movies this month and we
- 0:29Speaker 1: cannot wait to dive in and talk about this movie.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Am I over selling it for you? Wendy?
- 0:35Speaker 1: As a reminder, these episodes are bonus episodes. You can
- 0:39Speaker 1: always catch our main podcast episode every Tuesday. This week
- 0:43Speaker 1: we talked about going back to work, and that's all
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna say about that. You can hop on over
- 0:47Speaker 1: to that episode and give it a listen. Also, maybe
- 0:51Speaker 1: one of my Megan and Wendy approved favorites of the
- 0:55Speaker 1: past year. But today we're talking the twenty seven Hour Day,
- 0:58Speaker 1: And Wendy.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Do you have a synopsis?
- 1:01Speaker 3: I do. Here we go. An entrepreneur takes a break
- 1:05Speaker 3: from her wellness empire for some much needed work life balance,
- 1:09Speaker 3: but realizes it won't be easy. Will a relaxing retreat
- 1:13Speaker 3: and new romance change.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Her life forever?
- 1:17Speaker 3: Starrying autumn research and Andrew Walker, that's it. Let's talk
- 1:24Speaker 3: about first impressions. Megan, did you like this movie?
- 1:28Speaker 1: My first impression was that Hallmark is coming out the
- 1:32Speaker 1: gates strong with these August movies. This was I agree
- 1:35Speaker 1: with for me me too. Yea.
- 1:40Speaker 3: I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would.
- 1:44Speaker 3: And it was mostly be because the story was about
- 1:46Speaker 3: Lauren and not about Lauren and Jack as a couple.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:50Speaker 3: So yes, I liked it too. Are you surprised?
- 1:55Speaker 1: I'm not surprised because I felt that there were things
- 1:59Speaker 1: in it that you were gonna like. I thought it
- 2:00Speaker 1: was one that was going to appeal to you. All right,
- 2:03Speaker 1: let's talk news and notes.
- 2:06Speaker 3: All right, don't have those written down, but I have
- 2:09Speaker 3: a few from memory.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Well.
- 2:12Speaker 1: As Wendy said, it stars Autumn Racer and Andrew Walker.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Autumnracer was also the executive producer of this movie, and
- 2:18Speaker 1: that was her first executive producing role.
- 2:21Speaker 2: So that's exciting for her.
- 2:22Speaker 1: She makes a ton of Hallmark movies, but I'm excited
- 2:25Speaker 1: that she got to do that.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I enjoyed her a lot.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I do too.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Now, last week I said that she was in the OC.
- 2:31Speaker 3: You don't remember her? Did you even watch the last
- 2:33Speaker 3: seasons of The OC. She was kind of like the
- 2:35Speaker 3: Marissa replacement.
- 2:36Speaker 1: No. I have watched maybe two episodes ever of the OC.
- 2:40Speaker 3: I really liked her on the OC. She's kind of
- 2:43Speaker 3: like high, high strung type A very similar to this
- 2:47Speaker 3: character too. She was really good on it. I like
- 2:50Speaker 3: her too. I've never seen her in any other Hallmark movie.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I know she does a ton of them.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I have seen her in other movies, but I've really
- 3:00Speaker 1: liked her in this one.
- 3:02Speaker 3: What other news and notes do you have?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Canada served as fake Montana for this movie? That's no shot.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Hallmark loves the Canada movie and I have we discovered.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I don't know if it's that it's easier to shoot
- 3:15Speaker 1: in Canada or if it's less expensive to shoot in Canada,
- 3:19Speaker 1: because it's not just during COVID that they shoot in Canada.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Like Hallmark shoots a lot of movies in Canada, it
- 3:23Speaker 1: must be less expensive.
- 3:25Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean a lot of people shoot
- 3:27Speaker 3: stuff in Canada, so yeah, I have no idea, to
- 3:30Speaker 3: be honest.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It could also be the gorgeous scenery, which we can
- 3:34Speaker 1: talk about next. But I liked Fake Montana, so did I.
- 3:39Speaker 3: I was like, I want to go there. Andrew Walker.
- 3:44Speaker 3: This Get This has done nineteen Hallmark movies. WHOA, this
- 3:49Speaker 3: is the first one I've ever seen with him in it,
- 3:52Speaker 3: and I need to see more to be honest.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I really liked him.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I hope he's in a holiday one coming up. Oh,
- 4:00Speaker 3: I'm certain he will be.
- 4:02Speaker 1: What did you like about this movie?
- 4:04Speaker 3: Okay, I have a lot of things I liked I
- 4:06Speaker 3: might like. I have a big, long list, if you
- 4:08Speaker 3: can believe it. I really connected to the story. I
- 4:14Speaker 3: felt kind of annoyed by Lauren at the beginning because
- 4:19Speaker 3: she was like perpetuating this narrative that women have to
- 4:22Speaker 3: do everything and be totally efficient, savvy about it and
- 4:25Speaker 3: make extra time in their days to do even more
- 4:29Speaker 3: things right, which I have gotten to a point in
- 4:34Speaker 3: my life where I'm like, no, I don't want to
- 4:36Speaker 3: live my life that way. And so I loved Barbara's
- 4:39Speaker 3: advice to her about like needing a work life balance,
- 4:44Speaker 3: and I like how they made her see that that's
- 4:48Speaker 3: not how you should live your life, like she was
- 4:50Speaker 3: missing out on some really like relationship with her mother
- 4:54Speaker 3: and a love life and having fun outside of doing
- 4:59Speaker 3: work stuff. That's what I really loved about this movie.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I loved the resolution where she was like, look, I'm
- 5:06Speaker 1: all about helping you out, but we're going to be
- 5:08Speaker 1: helping you out for the good things, not just to
- 5:10Speaker 1: check off a to do list.
- 5:11Speaker 3: And I felt totally.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Like, where's the joy in that? Yes, I really liked that.
- 5:19Speaker 3: But I have a question though, for you. I was
- 5:22Speaker 3: wondering this as I was watching it. Do you think
- 5:25Speaker 3: highly successful people actually have a work life balance?
- 5:28Speaker 2: No?
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't either.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I think work life balance is a lie.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Right. I remember you and I took this well, I
- 5:37Speaker 3: think you were Oh you know what, I don't think
- 5:39Speaker 3: you were there. It was like a blogging conference in Phoenix,
- 5:45Speaker 3: and the speaker talked about how balance was bullshit, like
- 5:50Speaker 3: it's you're never going to achieve that, And I was like,
- 5:54Speaker 3: I mean, if you want to be successful, you have
- 5:56Speaker 3: to like lay it all out there right all the time.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And let's be honest, it's something that people only talk
- 6:03Speaker 1: to women about. Nobody ever talks to them like Hi,
- 6:07Speaker 1: family time, Hi, work all day.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Well, and here's the other thing too. She was not
- 6:12Speaker 3: even a parent, you know, in this in this role.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Like throw that into the mix and then let's see
- 6:18Speaker 3: how things fan out, pan out, fan out, pan out. Okay,
- 6:25Speaker 3: tell me what you liked.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I loved that. I thought they had great chemistry. I
- 6:32Speaker 1: wrote that they did not actually.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Oh no, yeah, I just thought they were better as
- 6:38Speaker 3: friends as confidants, you know what I mean, and till
- 6:41Speaker 3: the end the until they had their first kiss, which
- 6:45Speaker 3: was at hour twenty two. But they needed that to
- 6:49Speaker 3: like kind of like make the movie go that way,
- 6:52Speaker 3: I thought, right, right, And then I thought there was
- 6:55Speaker 3: chemistry between them, Like I didn't. I didn't feel it
- 6:59Speaker 3: between them like coming. I actually thought she was quite annoying,
- 7:01Speaker 3: like when she was like walking with their weights and
- 7:03Speaker 3: was like she like ran into him. Oh for sure.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I didn't think they developed chemistry until they had that
- 7:10Speaker 1: moment with their wine, which I need to talk about
- 7:11Speaker 1: in a minute.
- 7:12Speaker 3: But oh I love that scene.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, god, But I do think that's when it
- 7:16Speaker 1: changed for them, that moment. Yes, I thought she was
- 7:19Speaker 1: super annoying walking with her weights and her heels, not
- 7:23Speaker 1: in that scene, but she was in heels in every
- 7:25Speaker 1: other scene. I'm like, you're on a dirt road, why
- 7:26Speaker 1: are wearing heels? Ever, we go to walk the damn pig,
- 7:30Speaker 1: speaking of which loved the pig.
- 7:33Speaker 3: I know, pigs are so cute. I love the pig too,
- 7:36Speaker 3: but kind of a weird storyline though, right.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Super weird storyline. Didn't mind it though, because the pig
- 7:41Speaker 1: was super cute. The dog, Poppy was also very cute.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I enjoyed the animal inclusion in this movie. Here's what
- 7:48Speaker 1: I think this movie did really well, which the last
- 7:51Speaker 1: movie also did really well. I think this movie did
- 7:54Speaker 1: maybe even better. You've got a full ensemble cast, and
- 7:58Speaker 1: I cared about a lot of them.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I wrote not I liked all other retreat guests. Yes,
- 8:05Speaker 3: like I was into their stories.
- 8:07Speaker 1: They were not time fillers, they were not a distraction.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I was into all of them. The writer did a
- 8:14Speaker 1: great job making the matter, making it all work together.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Tying in Heather, the event planner with loved her story
- 8:23Speaker 1: so well. I just loved this cast as a whole.
- 8:27Speaker 3: For me too. And Roger. I just loved Roger. When
- 8:31Speaker 3: he started singing yes I know, I was like, oh
- 8:35Speaker 3: my god, I love this man.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I know and I almost That is one of those
- 8:39Speaker 1: things that makes me think did they kind of discover
- 8:42Speaker 1: accidentally that he could sing and they're like, oh, we've
- 8:45Speaker 1: got to work this in somehow.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I don't know. I wish we knew.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I loved it. I did, too, loved it.
- 8:51Speaker 3: You mentioned her shoes. I mean, I wrote it down.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I loved Lauren's cute shoes, the light brown heels. I
- 8:58Speaker 3: get that she was the dirt or whatever, but I
- 9:01Speaker 3: just thought they were so cute.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I like those light round heels. There's another scene where
- 9:05Speaker 1: she's walking on that same dirt path when she comes
- 9:07Speaker 1: across him. He's in that barn and she's in wedges.
- 9:10Speaker 1: It just was a reap. She was a repeat offender,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and I thought.
- 9:13Speaker 2: There's so many dirt roads. Are we really wearing wedges?
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'd be on my ass.
- 9:18Speaker 3: You're so funny. Well, they got to make her look cute,
- 9:20Speaker 3: you know, but.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I loved her wardrobe. I thought she looked great. About
- 9:23Speaker 1: this entire movie, I agree. I totally cried at the
- 9:28Speaker 1: anne when Lauren told her mom thank you for all
- 9:30Speaker 1: her sacrifices.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yes, me too, Like I legit cried. I was like,
- 9:34Speaker 3: what is wrong with me? I will say though, I
- 9:37Speaker 3: don't often watch these movies on a Saturday night, and
- 9:40Speaker 3: I was watching it by myself, and I was having
- 9:42Speaker 3: a cocktail, so it may have been like just a
- 9:45Speaker 3: little bit like weepy and emotional, but I thought that
- 9:49Speaker 3: was so sweet and it was just so nice.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah, do you have anything.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Else you liked?
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yes?
- 9:59Speaker 3: I do, wrote, really appreciated the message Lauren finally got
- 10:03Speaker 3: to at the end. We talked about that efficient and
- 10:06Speaker 3: time saving is not more, not for more, but what's for,
- 10:11Speaker 3: It's for what's important. I stumbled all over that, but
- 10:15Speaker 3: you know what I mean, Like it was like carving
- 10:18Speaker 3: out time for important.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Things, fun things, you know.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I had a great ending. I thought I had
- 10:24Speaker 3: a great ending. I loved it, loved it, loved it,
- 10:26Speaker 3: loved it.
- 10:27Speaker 1: What did you wish for?
- 10:33Speaker 3: I only have two. One is I did not love
- 10:36Speaker 3: Lauren's tightly wound energy throughout the first part of the movie.
- 10:38Speaker 3: It made me feel uneasy and I found her super unlikable.
- 10:43Speaker 3: But that changed quickly. Sorry, sorry, but that changed quickly,
- 10:50Speaker 3: Like she became far more likable, like pretty quick, and
- 10:57Speaker 3: I wished for more chemistry. That's what I wrote, Like,
- 11:00Speaker 3: I just I thought they lacked chemistry, but then again,
- 11:04Speaker 3: like it was kind of cool that they weren't like
- 11:06Speaker 3: heads overhil cheesy, We're gonna get married and you're gonna
- 11:09Speaker 3: move to my city kind of thing, you know, right,
- 11:12Speaker 3: I thought, Oh my god, is she gonna leave her
- 11:14Speaker 3: job and come work on the family retreat or what's
- 11:19Speaker 3: gonna happen to do that job from that retreat?
- 11:22Speaker 1: By the way, totally, and I wished. There's only one
- 11:28Speaker 1: plot point in this movie that I found very distracting,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and that was the loss of their investor. There's no
- 11:34Speaker 1: way this small family business that is so dedicated to
- 11:38Speaker 1: maintaining their father's legacy would move forward on major renovations
- 11:43Speaker 1: without having some sort of confirmation or money in hand
- 11:48Speaker 1: from these investors. They just went away, Oh we changed
- 11:51Speaker 1: our mind. Yeah, that I didn't believe that point. They
- 11:56Speaker 1: either would have had a signed contract or they would
- 11:58Speaker 1: have already had the money before they made these major decisions.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And so I felt like that was distracting from me.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Honestly, wasn't even necessary. They could have just kept it
- 12:11Speaker 3: as like, you know, he helped his mom and sister finally,
- 12:15Speaker 3: you know, transition, and they're running the show now. He
- 12:18Speaker 3: could go back to do what he was set out
- 12:21Speaker 3: to do originally. So okay, I don't think it was necessary, Yeah,
- 12:25Speaker 3: not even not even.
- 12:28Speaker 1: It's time or did you see that I have a bunch.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Okay, okay, first of all, let me ask you it.
- 12:37Speaker 3: It says her wellness empire. Is she just a like
- 12:41Speaker 3: super successful blogger and podcaster or what's is she a influencer?
- 12:50Speaker 3: Like it didn't really kind of like define what she does.
- 12:54Speaker 3: But I was like, really, this like successful blogger has
- 12:58Speaker 3: an office with like all this staff, right, but she
- 13:03Speaker 3: doesn't have a book deal, like you know, she was
- 13:05Speaker 3: like going on and on about like, oh, how she
- 13:07Speaker 3: could get a book deal. I was like, if you
- 13:09Speaker 3: have an office, you definitely have a bookdal Come on.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I felt like the creators of this movie didn't fully
- 13:16Speaker 1: understand what her job was, because if she actually had
- 13:20Speaker 1: that job, it would be her at her kitchen table,
- 13:22Speaker 1: maybe with an assistant, Like it's possible to have an assistant.
- 13:25Speaker 1: But she's running this podcast, she's running this website. She's
- 13:29Speaker 1: like talking about her content ideas. But at one point
- 13:33Speaker 1: she comes into the office, hold on, this is in
- 13:36Speaker 1: my other notes and she says they're talking about something
- 13:41Speaker 1: had gone viral and she says, oh yeah. She goes,
- 13:45Speaker 1: oh that blog that went viral, and look, you know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: the blog is the hole the blog did not go viral.
- 13:52Speaker 1: The post itself went viral, and I felt like that
- 13:55Speaker 1: was like, Okay, this is a clear sign to anybody
- 13:57Speaker 1: who knows anything that the people who are writing this
- 13:59Speaker 1: don't don't actually know what they're talking about.
- 14:02Speaker 3: And she's like that post or that blog that went
- 14:04Speaker 3: viral last week, Like, no, you know, it's viral in
- 14:08Speaker 3: the moment. Yeah, those details, I mean, I think maybe
- 14:15Speaker 3: only because we come from that from that community, that
- 14:20Speaker 3: were like a regular person has no idea. But did
- 14:26Speaker 3: you notice in her office, like how low budget the
- 14:30Speaker 3: furniture was.
- 14:32Speaker 1: There were some sets that were thrown together, Like the
- 14:34Speaker 1: vet was like a couple of screens with some like
- 14:38Speaker 1: random medical equipment in there.
- 14:41Speaker 3: It was so funny. I was like, who picked up
- 14:44Speaker 3: those filing cabinets? Yeah? It just was like, oh, okay,
- 14:48Speaker 3: but yeah, I'm supposed to believe that she's got an
- 14:51Speaker 3: office in New York City, right, That's where she was huge.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Spacious, opened multiple employees.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Yeah no, And then she had this apartment with like
- 15:00Speaker 3: the view of the city, like you could see like
- 15:03Speaker 3: the city in the out the window. I was like,
- 15:05Speaker 3: give me a broke okay, sure, okay, sure, lady, anyway,
- 15:10Speaker 3: I thought that was funny. All right, what else you got?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Would you find it stressful to not have clocks?
- 15:17Speaker 3: No? Not if not, if that's the purpose of being there. No, No,
- 15:23Speaker 3: I wouldn't have turned over all my electronics though. I
- 15:25Speaker 3: thought that was weird. But no, if they don't have clocks, No,
- 15:29Speaker 3: Vegas doesn't have clocks.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Yes, but she wasn't even allowed to wear her watch.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I know her it was a smart watch. But like,
- 15:35Speaker 1: Vegas doesn't have clocks, but they have clocks in their rooms.
- 15:38Speaker 1: They don't have a clock in the casino. It's not
- 15:40Speaker 1: like their band. You can still find out what.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Time it is.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Sure, she didn't have access to any of that, and
- 15:46Speaker 1: that stressed me out.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I like to know what time it is.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Nah, I don't care. I mean, yeah, no, no idea. Okay,
- 15:54Speaker 3: there was a really cute scene when they were cooking
- 15:56Speaker 3: in the kitchen. But I have to ask you, who
- 15:59Speaker 3: course tomatoes?
- 16:01Speaker 2: I've never seen that done before.
- 16:02Speaker 3: But is that like, actually, why would you core a
- 16:05Speaker 3: tomato so that when you cut it you can use
- 16:08Speaker 3: everything that's left.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 16:10Speaker 3: That is one step two mini for mis efficient. No,
- 16:14Speaker 3: because you don't you know what would you do with
- 16:16Speaker 3: a cord tomato other than cut.
- 16:18Speaker 2: It right, chop it up right?
- 16:20Speaker 3: Yeah? No, come on, that was so weird. Why didn't
- 16:23Speaker 3: they just have them corn apples? Why tomatoes?
- 16:26Speaker 2: It was odd?
- 16:27Speaker 3: Nobody cores tomatoes. And if I'm wrong, please email us
- 16:30Speaker 3: Megan and Windy at gmail dot com. But I don't
- 16:32Speaker 3: know why you would core a tomato. I've never done
- 16:34Speaker 3: that in my forty six years. Never. I don't own
- 16:37Speaker 3: a core or oh I do, but for apples.
- 16:41Speaker 1: We know, not we When he takes the pig to
- 16:46Speaker 1: the vet, the vet literally opens the door, goes she's great,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and shuts the door of the carrier, like, doesn't even
- 16:51Speaker 1: take the pig out, doesn't look at the pig, doesn't
- 16:53Speaker 1: examine the pig. There's no cresent. He opens it. She
- 16:57Speaker 1: looks great, she's ready for adoption. Slam go bye.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Well, maybe she had looked at maybe they had a
- 17:04Speaker 3: scene that they'd cut. Maybe she was looking at X
- 17:06Speaker 3: rays or something like that, and then you know, doctors
- 17:08Speaker 3: come and go you look great, all right, goodbye?
- 17:10Speaker 1: You know, perhaps her hubs.
- 17:15Speaker 3: At the Honey Festival, they were doing some slow country dancing.
- 17:19Speaker 3: But then there were people who were slow country dancing
- 17:23Speaker 3: like by themselves, like not with not holding onto other people.
- 17:28Speaker 3: I thought it was so bizarre, but like maybe people
- 17:31Speaker 3: do that. I have no idea. They were just like
- 17:34Speaker 3: swaying back and forth, like looking at each other. It
- 17:36Speaker 3: was like, that is so weird to me.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah that yeah, okay, the wine. They're sitting in these
- 17:44Speaker 1: beautiful Adirondack chairs with the view of the lake.
- 17:47Speaker 3: By the way.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I loved the scenery of this movie, so beautiful. And
- 17:53Speaker 1: they zoom in on.
- 17:54Speaker 2: The wine label.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Yep, I noticed the wine is Metal Lark, which, by
- 17:58Speaker 1: the way, is a real vineyard, and at first I thought, oh,
- 18:01Speaker 1: this is sponsored placement, and then they're like, this tastes terrible,
- 18:05Speaker 1: and I feel very badly for the Metal Lark figure.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Are you sure it's Metal Lark. I thought it was
- 18:11Speaker 3: Metal Lawn, like because that's the name of their retreat.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Oh well, that's You could be right, and I could
- 18:17Speaker 1: be a dummy.
- 18:18Speaker 3: So, but that's too close to her actual brand, so
- 18:21Speaker 3: I would think, like that would be the actual brand.
- 18:24Speaker 3: If it is Metal Lark, I'm gonna go back. I
- 18:26Speaker 3: still have the movie, so I'll go back and look
- 18:27Speaker 3: and see.
- 18:28Speaker 1: And I'm sure you're right, I'm sure you're right, that
- 18:32Speaker 1: would make more sense.
- 18:33Speaker 3: But it was so funny when they were like cheers
- 18:35Speaker 3: and then they dumped it out. I died. I thought
- 18:38Speaker 3: that was so funny, so so funny. There was a
- 18:44Speaker 3: scene towards the end when like Jack was trying to
- 18:46Speaker 3: figure out what to do and she was like giving
- 18:48Speaker 3: him all this advice and he goes, I can't just
- 18:50Speaker 3: write a blog post about it, and I was.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Like, oh, that hurts.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Maybe that just hurts us personally. But I was like, no,
- 19:00Speaker 3: that was such a mean line. I kind of loved it,
- 19:05Speaker 3: but yeah, mean, yes, do you have any others?
- 19:11Speaker 1: That's all I get. I got, except you would never
- 19:14Speaker 1: have found her in Central Park? Like, oh, your assistant
- 19:17Speaker 1: told me I could find you here. I'm so sure.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, how big is Central Park?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Pretty d enormous for the length of the city.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Oh well, there's one last thing.
- 19:28Speaker 1: It looked like.
- 19:30Speaker 3: She was holding this handheld device and looked like she
- 19:34Speaker 3: was or sounded like she was recording a podcast episode.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I was like, that's not how they do that, Like
- 19:40Speaker 3: that would be like if you were recording notes for
- 19:42Speaker 3: something or whatever, but you don't record a podcast on
- 19:46Speaker 3: the go. Like that.
- 19:48Speaker 2: No, I thought that too.
- 19:49Speaker 1: And also it looked very much like if you've seen
- 19:51Speaker 1: Home Alone, to the device that Kevin records his voice
- 19:53Speaker 1: into and then plays it back at different speeds for
- 19:56Speaker 1: it to sound different, it was that was odd to me. Yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I'm like, your sound's gonna be terrible walking through your
- 20:02Speaker 1: big open apartment people can breathe.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, exactly, all right, what did we give this episode? So?
- 20:11Speaker 1: For me, I actually liked this better than last week's.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I still very much liked last week, but on its own,
- 20:19Speaker 1: without thinking about last week's I still would give it
- 20:22Speaker 1: a three and a half stars because that's.
- 20:24Speaker 3: What I gave it too.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Look at that, it's still three and a half for me,
- 20:29Speaker 1: even though that's what I gave last week as well.
- 20:33Speaker 1: We occasionally get some questions about where we're watching this movie,
- 20:37Speaker 1: these movies.
- 20:39Speaker 2: That's my dad. I'm not gonna answer it.
- 20:43Speaker 1: We occasionally get some questions about where we're watching these movies.
- 20:47Speaker 1: If you don't have cable and the Hallmark movies now
- 20:51Speaker 1: app is not the way to go because they do
- 20:53Speaker 1: not have all of the current releases. They've got a
- 20:55Speaker 1: lot of older Hallmark movies. So you want the Friendly
- 20:58Speaker 1: app frn dly and that has live TV, it has
- 21:04Speaker 1: a DVR, it has on demand. That's where we watch
- 21:07Speaker 1: all the movies. So if you do not have cable
- 21:08Speaker 1: and you would like to watch these movies, that's the
- 21:10Speaker 1: best place to do it.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I actually have cable. I watch it on cable, I.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Know, but some people don't.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I know, I know, I know, so.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Uh, Wendy watches them on cable.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Yes, although occasionally you gotta Friendly.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Occasionally I log into make It's Friendly out and watch them.
- 21:29Speaker 1: The nice thing about Friendly is that like you can
- 21:31Speaker 1: go back seventy two hours anything that if you didn't
- 21:34Speaker 1: record something, you can just immediately hit record and it
- 21:36Speaker 1: appears in your recording. So if I forgot to record
- 21:38Speaker 1: something ahead of time, I can go back to the
- 21:40Speaker 1: day before and just tippity hop and there it is.
- 21:42Speaker 1: So that's really nice.
- 21:44Speaker 2: This is not sponsored.
- 21:45Speaker 1: We pay for our own Friendly subscription.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:49Speaker 1: And that wraps up our thoughts on the twenty seven
- 21:52Speaker 1: hour day.
- 21:53Speaker 3: What's next week?
- 21:54Speaker 2: Next week?
- 21:55Speaker 3: This is the one I'm not looking forward to. Sealed
- 21:57Speaker 3: with a Kiss Wedding March sixth I don't understand the
- 22:01Speaker 3: title at all.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I think there's got to be backstory. I think there
- 22:05Speaker 1: are previous movies which I will find out. Yeah next week.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Yeah yeah. So sealed with The Kiss Wedding March sixth
- 22:12Speaker 3: with Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett. Yes, talk about to
- 22:16Speaker 3: blasts from the past.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I know, I'm very interested to see what's happening, and
- 22:20Speaker 1: I am also least excited about this movie. I have
- 22:23Speaker 1: a feeling it has some backstory that we don't know.
- 22:26Speaker 1: But we'll be here to discuss it next Thursday, and
- 22:28Speaker 1: of course we'll be back on Tuesday with our regularly
- 22:31Speaker 1: scheduled main podcast episode.
- 22:34Speaker 2: And until then, have a great week. We'll see you
- 22:36Speaker 2: next time. Goodbye bye,
