- 0:39Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here with you.
- 0:42Sean McAllister: And Dana, did you uh grow up like going away to summer camp?
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 0:47Sean McAllister: So did I.
- 0:48Dayna Roselli: Well, Girl Scout Camp.
- 0:49Sean McAllister: Okay, and I went I went to Boy Scout Camp.
- 0:51Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 0:51Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: Loved it.
- 0:52Sean McAllister: Loved it.
- 0:53Sean McAllister: We would go up to the Adirondacks, do canoeing, hiking, live in tents, have bears roaming around.
- 1:00Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:00Sean McAllister: Have some funny camp counselors.
- 1:02Sean McAllister: Always funny camp counselors.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: And we're getting a dose of that here in Las Vegas right now, and it's adults only.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: Camp Palms is located at the Palms casino, and it runs through July 31st.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: So uh you've got some time to get over there.
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: It's a really fun pop-up.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: It's just off the casino floor.
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: And as I was walking in, I saw Bigfoot roaming through the slot machines.
- 1:28Dayna Roselli: It's a whole thing.
- 1:29Sean McAllister: There was a Bigfoot sighting?
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 1:33Dayna Roselli: And then I walked in and I got in trouble by Counselor Brad because he said I was filming him and that now I'm gonna have to do calisthenics class in the morning.
- 1:42Sean McAllister: Uh-oh, that's not a good way to start the day.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: Um, but yes, there are some crazy characters.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: It's a fun pop-up, pop-up entertainment, um, uh fun camp-themed food and cocktails.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: I really thought it was something very unique that I haven't seen in Vegas before.
- 1:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, and they did such a good job uh decorating the inside of the venue where they're having it too.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: It's right across from uh Scotch 80 prime over there, the uh steakhouse at Palms.
- 2:11Sean McAllister: Um, and it feels like you're stepping into a summer camp environment.
- 2:17Sean McAllister: The woods are all around you.
- 2:19Sean McAllister: Obviously, you talk about the camp staff that's roaming around and makes sure that you're a part of the partaking in all of the camp festivities.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: And and the food that they have on the menu that you can order, you can choose.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: They've got all sorts of just really fun items.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: Like, I don't know, they brought out hot dogs.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: Um, what else did we have?
- 2:40Dayna Roselli: I'm blanking like the Ritz crackers and the funny kinds of dips, like the cheese spread.
- 2:44Sean McAllister: Yeah, and they have um they have nachos, but they make them inside of the chip bag.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: Right, the Doritos and the Fritos.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: The Bull Ranch Doritos, they have the Fritos, they have the regular cheddar Doritos, and they have different types of toppings that go in there.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, that was with hot sauce.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: It was really good.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: And they give you like they serve it almost on that like camp tray.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you know, you know what I mean?
- 3:10Dayna Roselli: And they served a lot of different like the mess hall tray.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: The mess hall tray.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's it's great.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: And the cocktails were really unique.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: They had the the what is it called?
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: The bomb pop?
- 3:19Sean McAllister: The bomb, yep, the red, white, and blue bomb pop.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: Like a little one almost um turned over in your cup for the for the one drink, and I forget what it was called, but anyway, and it was kind of like your stirrer.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: It was really cool.
- 3:30Sean McAllister: I think it came in a glass of Prosecco.
- 3:32Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 3:33Sean McAllister: So it was like the bubbles in the bomb pop.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:35Sean McAllister: And then I got uh a spiked lemonade, essentially, and it came the cup came inside of its own pool floaty.
- 3:43Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: That was so cute.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's a thing.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: The whole the whole presentation is so much fun.
- 3:48Dayna Roselli: It's great for pictures.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: I mean, like unforgettable pictures in there, lots of different moments.
- 3:52Sean McAllister: Yeah, they have great picture spots, and then if you get called up on stage to participate in the Camp Talent show, then you'll have even better photo ops.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: I think I saw our friend uh Las Vegas Phil up there.
- 4:06Dayna Roselli: He did.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: He was up there rocking out.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, very popular food influencer in town.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: Um, he does great work.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: It was fun to see him up there.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: Uh, we kind of hid.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: We were like, don't pick us.
- 4:17Dayna Roselli: Um, but uh but yeah, if you're if you're into that, it was really fun.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: Um, so anyway, it's there till July 31st.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: Um, I love it.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: I think it's a great idea.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: If you want to head over to the Palms and take part in Camp Palms, it's fun, no kids allowed.
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: Um, and you can go in, order off the menu, but it's free to get in.
- 4:35Sean McAllister: Yeah, and so summer camp, like you said, goes through July 31st.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: But I hear that uh they'll be activating that same spot with different pop-up themes.
- 4:46Sean McAllister: Cool.
- 4:46Sean McAllister: Uh in different parts of the year.
- 4:48Sean McAllister: So I think it's a great use for that spot.
- 4:51Sean McAllister: It's a great way to get people in there, have a different kind of kind of a nightlife experience.
- 4:58Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 4:59Sean McAllister: Because it's not a nightclub, but you get a it's just a really fun vibe.
- 5:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: Something different.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: We like that.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: Hey, on my way out to Valet, um, my friend and I were walking by kind of their, I don't know, call it their gift shop at the Palms, their store there right next to the check-in.
- 5:16Dayna Roselli: Um, and we popped in because we always look for UNL V V gear, UNL V or college here.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: Um, we go to sometimes football games and we're like, oh, I need a t-shirt or whatever.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: But I didn't realize this store has so much sports gear in it and really good, nice quality stuff.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: So if you're looking for that, because we've actually had people write to us, like, where can I get A's merchandise?
- 5:38Dayna Roselli: Right, you know, the baseball team that's coming here, the Las Vegas A's.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: Um, and they had all of that.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: They had UNLV gear, um, they had Dodgers gear, um, they had A's, Raiders, and much more.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: And like very bold, nice, like hats and uh hoodies, you name it.
- 5:55Dayna Roselli: So if you're looking for some quality stuff, um, my friend turned over a price.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: It was a little pricey, but all the I feel like all that sports gear is always a little bit.
- 6:02Sean McAllister: It always is.
- 6:03Sean McAllister: It doesn't matter if you get it online or in the store.
- 6:06Sean McAllister: I mean, it all kind of runs right about the same price.
- 6:10Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: We went there on a Thursday night and um we actually pulled up into the valet because it's free valet and free parking at the Palms.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: Um, and it was a busy, and me and my friend were like, wow, it's really busy out.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: And I saw a couple people on X talking about how it's been really busy in Vegas over the last couple of weeks.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: Then I went Sunday to the cosmopolitan and it was packed.
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, it's great to see all the crowds here taking in everything that we've got going on for summer.
- 6:38Sean McAllister: It is, and we actually stayed after summer camp.
- 6:41Sean McAllister: We stayed and um played some slot machines.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: Of course you did.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: Of course.
- 6:45Sean McAllister: You I mean, listen, they just call, they call to us.
- 6:48Sean McAllister: It's like a magnet, a moth to a flame, if you will.
- 6:52Sean McAllister: Um, and there were a lot of people on the gaming floor.
- 6:57Sean McAllister: We hear, you know, we always hear like, oh, gaming is down, whatever.
- 7:02Sean McAllister: Well, there were a lot of people there playing, yeah, which was great to see.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah, really great to see.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's funny because we we do things sometimes on weeknights or weekends, but sometimes we do a bunch of things in a row.
- 7:15Dayna Roselli: And I feel like when it's consistently busy every night, you're like, wow, it's really yeah, packed.
- 7:20Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, and people are playing, and the cosmopolitan people were all over the place.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: The valet was backed up.
- 7:26Dayna Roselli: And this was I arrived Sunday at like 1:30 p.m.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: for a lunch.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: So yeah.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: Um, I did go to STK though, randomly.
- 7:33Dayna Roselli: We're we kind of just I was meeting a old colleague there and didn't really plan any place specific.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: So we walked into STK.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: We heard they have a great happy hour, and apparently they do.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: It starts at 2.30 because when we left, the bar was packed, but we decided to sit in a booth and the happy hour wasn't a part of that.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: But there was a morning menu.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: Um, and you can get brunch for$55 and then you get to pick and it's um unlimited, um, which I thought was a pretty good deal.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: We weren't that hungry, so we didn't get that option, but$55, a huge menu of all sorts of everything, you know, nice stuff and steak and meat, and appetizers, all of it.
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 8:14Sean McAllister: And if you're going specifically for an all-you-can-eat brunch and you plan for it, and you go in ready to take full advantage, right?
- 8:24Sean McAllister: That's a it's a great since we don't really have buffets like we used to, yeah.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: I feel like these kinds of options have kind of replaced that that that dining experience.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: And you don't gotta stand up.
- 8:40Sean McAllister: And you don't have to stand up, walk around the room, see what station you want to go to.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:45Dayna Roselli: Uh so true.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: Uh, we got espresso martinis though on the morning menu, and they were$12.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: They didn't seem like pre-made or anything, they were good.
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: We had each had two each.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: Um, and then um they brought out a basket of pastries, which were delicious and warm, and that was kind of included, you know, almost like your little bread basket.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we got the birata and some truffle fries.
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: We sat there for hours, though.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: We were there for like five hours.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: So um, we had a lot to catch up on.
- 9:11Dayna Roselli: I hadn't seen them in a long time.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, um, just FYI, STK might be a spot.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: I never thought about STK on a Sunday afternoon.
- 9:18Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's great.
- 9:19Dayna Roselli: Good to good to know.
- 9:20Sean McAllister: I did want to mention uh this past weekend, uh up at Lee Canyon, that's the ski resort that's uh about an hour outside of Las Vegas, up in the mountains, obviously.
- 9:33Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 9:33Sean McAllister: Um, they do uh these music on the mountain uh days.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: It was on Saturday.
- 9:40Sean McAllister: Uh they have uh uh stage set up, they had uh performers out there.
- 9:47Sean McAllister: Uh it's from like one to five.
- 9:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:49Sean McAllister: Um, but they have they have food, they have drink, um people come and set up tents, they set up the the pop-ups, they put their chairs out.
- 10:00Sean McAllister: Uh, and this is kind of right at the base of the the ski hill.
- 10:03Sean McAllister: Uh-huh.
- 10:03Sean McAllister: You can take scenic uh chairlift rides up to the top of the mountain.
- 10:07Sean McAllister: It's a nice break from the heat.
- 10:09Dayna Roselli: Well, what if it's a I don't go up there a lot.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: I've gone in the fall, but it's already kind of cooler in the fall.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: So like it was cooler than it was down here.
- 10:17Dayna Roselli: But like when it's 110, like what was it up there?
- 10:20Sean McAllister: It was like 85 up there.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: Oh, wow.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 10:22Sean McAllister: So it's a it's a good 30-degree difference.
- 10:25Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:25Sean McAllister: The week before we also went 4th of July weekend, we popped up there.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: Uh-huh.
- 10:30Sean McAllister: Um, and it was like 75 degrees.
- 10:33Sean McAllister: It felt so good.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: You're really putting some gas money into the economy.
- 10:37Sean McAllister: I am.
- 10:38Sean McAllister: I am putting some miles on the car to beat the heat.
- 10:42Sean McAllister: Um, but it's a great way to beat the heat.
- 10:45Sean McAllister: If you do, you know, if you live here, obviously you've probably heard of Lee Canyon.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: Maybe you haven't made the the trip up to the mountain.
- 10:53Sean McAllister: If you're visiting, it's a great place to go too.
- 10:56Dayna Roselli: Um, I feel like it's more like a half hour, 35 minutes to the base.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: Then once you crawl up, you're adding on time.
- 11:02Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: But like really the highway part from the strip or center of town where we live.
- 11:07Sean McAllister: And it's off the 95.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: You just take the 95 north, and you'll see a sign for Mount Charleston that takes you up to the Mount Charleston Lodge resort area.
- 11:17Sean McAllister: But you keep going and you'll see the turnoff to Lee Canyon, and that goes up to the ski area.
- 11:23Sean McAllister: Anyway, just wanted to mention they have new uh mountain bike trails that goes down, zigzags across the mountain.
- 11:31Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 11:31Sean McAllister: So lots of mountain bikers up there, great hiking trails.
- 11:35Sean McAllister: Uh, and they have music on the mountain.
- 11:37Sean McAllister: So it was a great way to great way to spend the afternoon.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that is great.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: And I think a lot of people forget about that option.
- 11:44Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 11:44Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's something to do.
- 11:46Sean McAllister: It's refreshing.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: And the the one place I ate there on the patio was beautiful.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: Um anyway, they have a lot of options up there, so it's great.
- 11:54Dayna Roselli: Um, so uh speaking of options, um, Vegas Loop, I just wanted to mention that they're opening more and more spa uh like stations, but we've already mentioned pretty much most of the ones that are open, but they have added the airport now.
- 12:07Dayna Roselli: It's a l at a limited time.
- 12:08Dayna Roselli: But if you are listening and you're coming into town, I was so bummed because I came back after 4th of July and I wanted to take the Vegas Loop home.
- 12:17Dayna Roselli: But it was like I knew by the time I got off the plane it closes the airport one for now, closes at nine.
- 12:23SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 12:24Dayna Roselli: So I it was like 8:30 when we were still on the tarmac and I had to go down and get my bag, and I just thought, uh, so I didn't do it, but I was bummed because um I live in a high rise and we actually we don't have a stop, but we do have a stop, and here's how it works: they go surface level to pick us up until they go to the closest station, which I'm assuming is like Westgate or um yeah, it would be Westgate or one of the convention center ones, yeah.
- 12:52Dayna Roselli: Um, and then take us to the airport, it goes to Terminal One and Terminal Three, and get this, Sean.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: It's$12 one way.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: What?
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: And let me tell you, like Ubers and Taxi, everything's kind of gone up a little.
- 13:04Dayna Roselli: I took an Uber to the airport the other morning and it was$26.
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: And I I know that, but I don't live very far.
- 13:11Dayna Roselli: It used to be, I don't know,$14.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: It's getting more and more expensive.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: Um, so I thought, ooh, this is great.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: And I don't know if that's a limited time, but for now, that route to terminal one, so it goes surface and goes under, and then I think it comes back out and you pick it up apparently, because I was reading about it on the plane.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: You you get it at terminal one, right there where the taxi loading is at the bottom there after you get your bags.
- 13:39Dayna Roselli: So I didn't go out and find it.
- 13:41Dayna Roselli: But also on the way there, I was gonna take it, but it was too early.
- 13:46Dayna Roselli: I had a 6 50 a.m.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: flight, and I don't think it opens until 7 or 8.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: But anyway, I thought, wow, so I can get the Vegas loop and not have to go to a station.
- 13:57Dayna Roselli: So I think this is gonna be available in a lot more places as that option.
- 14:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, I really had not heard of those, you know, the Teslas that drive around inside of the loop.
- 14:10Sean McAllister: Um I hadn't heard of them doing Surface Street pickups.
- 14:15Sean McAllister: That's a really that's a really cool thing.
- 14:18Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 14:18Dayna Roselli: And they have one at Resorts World, at Encore, at Fountain Blue, you know, they have the convention center ones all over, Westgate, and now um the airport terminal one and three.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: So look that up.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: And also, like we have access, which which is interesting because we live in a high rise.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: Obviously, it's for the people who live there.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: So I had to sign in as myself because we got access.
- 14:44Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah, so it's not like the general public can do that.
- 14:49Dayna Roselli: But I'm wondering if they're gonna do that at a lot of the different, you know, maybe the high-rises, even when it expands to downtown and absolutely.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: I mean, why not?
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: So it's interesting.
- 14:58Dayna Roselli: So we're gonna learn more.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: We've reached out, we've had some communication with the Vegas Loop folks over at Boring, um, but they're busy.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: And uh, we were gonna set up a a tour and get a little bit more information.
- 15:09Dayna Roselli: We hope that's gonna happen somewhat soon because I know everyone's curious about this.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: More affordable transportation.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: And you know, there's been a lot of talk about the Vegas Loop.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: Oh, it's in the tunnels, oh, I wouldn't do it.
- 15:18Dayna Roselli: But like, here's the deal like it's here, and if it's affordable and it's out there, we're gonna have to start using it.
- 15:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean it if you're claustrophobic, maybe it's not for you.
- 15:30Sean McAllister: And we have many other options.
- 15:32Sean McAllister: We do.
- 15:32Sean McAllister: There are lots of other options.
- 15:33Sean McAllister: In addition to those stops, Dana, that you uh mentioned that are already online.
- 15:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, uh, there are also uh permits and approvals that have already been pushed through that are uh bringing the the Vegas loop system closer to downtown.
- 15:50Sean McAllister: Okay, heading toward the strat and and further stops planned for downtown Las Vegas.
- 15:56Sean McAllister: Also, um they have six stations that are actively planned for locations surrounding the UNLV campus.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: Oh, that'll be good.
- 16:04Sean McAllister: For the Thomas and Mac and student housing, the Athletics Village.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: So um they have further expansion plans for uh Chinatown, Summerlin, Henderson, which I'm excited for those branches also, because that's been one of my big pet peeves, I guess, about Las Vegas transportation is that we don't have a light rail system to take us from the suburbs into the strip conveniently.
- 16:32Dayna Roselli: Well, even when you said the the UNLV, you think about the college kids wanting to go out downtown because downtown's more affordable, more the college kind of group.
- 16:40Dayna Roselli: And it's got a different vibe.
- 16:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, music and right.
- 16:43Dayna Roselli: But think about they can hop on uh in the loop and go downtown and be safe, have a ride, you know, and and get back.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: So, but yeah, in the suburbs, you're you're right, to be able to get back and forth.
- 16:55Sean McAllister: And if the Vegas Loop is the answer to that question, then I say bring it on.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: I know, me too.
- 17:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, hours of uh operation are 7 30 a.m.
- 17:04Dayna Roselli: uh to nine right now.
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: So um you can go to Vegasloop.com for more information and you can click on the different destinations.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: But you do um, so it does say includes a surface surface drive for the airport.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: So that's normal.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:18Dayna Roselli: You're gonna come up from a station and you're gonna be.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: So, but I do want to take you and I are gonna try it out.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: We are we're gonna do it soon, and and we'll report back.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: So um, just got a quick press release that the Skyfall Panoramic Bar and Lounge at the W is temporarily closing from July 20th through October 4th to undergo a comprehensive refresh.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: You did a bunch of live shots from there recently.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: And the friend that I just met at the Cosmopolitan Sunday, that's where they went the night before and had a blast.
- 17:49Dayna Roselli: They had a reserve table, they were living it up, they were having martinis up there, they watched the Saturday fireworks.
- 17:54Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, that's a perfect spot.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: At MGM Grant.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: It was right across.
- 17:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:58Dayna Roselli: So I mean, I was like, good for you guys following along with all the things we tell you to do here.
- 18:03Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, so now it's so weird that that just came out and that they're gonna be closing temporarily on July 20th for a refresh.
- 18:09Sean McAllister: I wonder what they're gonna do.
- 18:10Sean McAllister: Uh did did you go into the ladies' room?
- 18:13Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 18:14Sean McAllister: And how is it set up?
- 18:16Dayna Roselli: Well, well, you can see out to the pool.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: It's like you feel like people can see in, but they can't.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: But it's like all glass, yeah.
- 18:25Sean McAllister: That's what the the men's room is too.
- 18:27Sean McAllister: It's like the urinal is like kind of on a window.
- 18:29Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:29Sean McAllister: And you're like, who's watching me?
- 18:31Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: Nobody.
- 18:35Sean McAllister: Hopefully.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: Um, so they're gonna bring it, let's see.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: It says the transformation will reimagine and enhance the venue, bringing it further in line with the bold contemporary design and elevated guest experience, synonymous with the globally recognized W Hotels brand.
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: So that's what we have to look forward to.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: I bet it'll be beautiful.
- 18:55Sean McAllister: It should be.
- 18:55Sean McAllister: That's a I mean, it's an incredible venue to have up at the top of that tower.
- 19:00Sean McAllister: And yeah, that'll be great.
- 19:02Sean McAllister: Hey, we got some uh good entertainment news.
- 19:05Sean McAllister: Ricky Martin.
- 19:06Sean McAllister: He's gonna be coming back to Las Vegas uh for a show Halloween weekend.
- 19:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Halloween weekend.
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: Interesting, right?
- 19:14Sean McAllister: Two nights Fountain Blue, which is gonna be exciting.
- 19:17Sean McAllister: I love Ricky Martin.
- 19:18Sean McAllister: He had a residency show over at Park MGM.
- 19:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, you and I back in the day.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: Oh, talk about this one.
- 19:25Sean McAllister: So good, it was such a great show, and I wish it kept going and going.
- 19:30Sean McAllister: It didn't.
- 19:31Sean McAllister: Um, but I'm glad to see Ricky coming back to the strip.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: And I was always amazed at like people from all over the world were there to see Ricky.
- 19:39Dayna Roselli: I mean, they brought signs and everything at that park MGM.
- 19:42Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: Remember that?
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that show was great.
- 19:46Sean McAllister: It was so sexy and so vagasy and so but not over the top.
- 19:53Sean McAllister: The way that he wove in all of the elements into his residency show was fantastic.
- 19:58Sean McAllister: So I'm excited for Ricky Martin to be back.
- 20:01Sean McAllister: He's such a nice guy, too.
- 20:02Dayna Roselli: He is, and you know, two nights that could expand.
- 20:05Dayna Roselli: He could be back, you know, back and forth.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: Who knows?
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: Um it'll be great.
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: It's Friday, October 30th, and Saturday, October 31st.
- 20:12Dayna Roselli: Shows start at eight o'clock.
- 20:15Dayna Roselli: If you want to catch Ricky Martin in Las Vegas at the Fountain Blue, and that's an intimate, it's a good-sized theater, but also intimate.
- 20:22Sean McAllister: It is.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: So it'll be good.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: I've seen Pitbull there, Mark Anthony.
- 20:26Sean McAllister: Hey, and have we talked about the fact that Brandon Flowers is doing a couple shows here in Vegas?
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know we did on the TV show, and I'm wondering if we have on the audio podcast.
- 20:35Dayna Roselli: Sometimes it all kind of blends together, but uh worth mentioning again.
- 20:39Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 20:39Sean McAllister: So Brandon's the case.
- 20:41Sean McAllister: Brandon Flowers, lead singer of the killers, Las Vegas homegrown band.
- 20:46Sean McAllister: Uh Brandon is doing a solo show, two solo shows actually, over at the Encore Theater at Wynn on Monday, October 5th, and on Tuesday, October 6th.
- 20:57Sean McAllister: Tickets for those shows are already on sale.
- 21:00Sean McAllister: Um, I think the first one sold out pretty quick, and he added a second one almost immediately.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:05Dayna Roselli: You know, him being from here, we love him.
- 21:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, he's loved all over the world, really.
- 21:10Dayna Roselli: But I think, you know, we have a soft spot, so he sells quick here in Las Vegas.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: Um, but he has a new single out, too, called Plans, and that's available now.
- 21:19Dayna Roselli: The full album that's gonna be coming out, uh, Thrasher, is dropping August 21st.
- 21:25Dayna Roselli: And this is Brandon Flowers as a solo artist.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: So it's his solo album, and it's the first solo album he's put out in a long time.
- 21:32Dayna Roselli: I think it was saying like in a decade or something like that.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: So yeah, I can't really because I remember his last album, and it seems like yesterday, but it was a long time ago.
- 21:42Dayna Roselli: So it'll be good to have him at the Encore Theater at Wynn uh October 5th and 6th.
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: It's so funny because we're starting to talk about all these fall shows now.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: I know in the middle of summer, because people got to get their tickets.
- 21:51Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 21:52Sean McAllister: And it it does feel like summer is is flying by pretty quick.
- 21:56Sean McAllister: Let's slow it down.
- 21:58Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 21:58Dayna Roselli: We're slowing it down.
- 21:59Dayna Roselli: What are we doing?
- 22:00Sean McAllister: Well, I don't know.
- 22:01Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 22:01Sean McAllister: Well, no one's.
- 22:02Sean McAllister: Let's slow it down.
- 22:03Sean McAllister: Enjoy summer.
- 22:03Sean McAllister: Well, we can't.
- 22:04Dayna Roselli: We're going to talk F1.
- 22:06Sean McAllister: Which is further into fall.
- 22:07Sean McAllister: The weekend before Thanksgiving is when F1 returns here to Las Vegas.
- 22:12Sean McAllister: We're actually going to, gosh, it's not going to be too long before we start seeing Las Vegas start transforming for Formula One again.
- 22:21Sean McAllister: But we did get some news that the Backstreet Boys are doing, they're headlining the official F1 after party.
- 22:30Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 22:30Dayna Roselli: Now this is the official post-race show, which I don't think we've ever done before here on the right.
- 22:36Sean McAllister: No, we haven't had that yet.
- 22:37Dayna Roselli: No, so this is a post-race show after uh the F1 in the sphere, and it's on November 21st.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: Tickets are available now.
- 22:47Dayna Roselli: Um, but let's see, it's with tickets available exclusively to Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix ticket holder.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: So you have to have tickets to the F1 race in order to get into the sphere.
- 23:00Dayna Roselli: I'm assuming that's what that means.
- 23:02Sean McAllister: Uh yeah, so you have to get a special ticket.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: Um, it's one of the uh Vibe tickets.
- 23:08Sean McAllister: Um it's the ticket and hotel experience package.
- 23:12Sean McAllister: Uh, and you can get those tickets to the one night only performance.
- 23:16Sean McAllister: Um you get into the T-Mobile zone over at Sphere.
- 23:21Sean McAllister: Uh, and then uh an intimate show with the band afterward inside the Sphere.
- 23:27Sean McAllister: So that'll be we've already seen their regular show inside of Sphere.
- 23:32Sean McAllister: And this will be great.
- 23:33Sean McAllister: This one's gonna be great, yeah.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: So uh here's the deal.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: Go to vibe.com, V-I-B-E-E.com.
- 23:41Dayna Roselli: It's got a bunch of different options in there.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: So you can be click on it and you'll see.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, if you're interested in that, if you're coming in town for F1, if you live here and you're going to F1 and you want to see the Backstreet Boys after, they're doing a post-race show.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: I like that.
- 23:55Sean McAllister: That is.
- 23:56Sean McAllister: That'll be exciting.
- 23:57Sean McAllister: Hey, there's a very mysterious uh nightlife experience coming to Resorts World.
- 24:03Sean McAllister: It's uh apparently going to be a country-themed nightlife experience, I guess.
- 24:09Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 24:10Sean McAllister: Um and there's some very cryptic uh teasers that have been put out by the property.
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: We got a release that kind of told us it was coming, but then it was like, ooh, but what is it?
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: But what is it?
- 24:24Sean McAllister: We don't know what it is, but Miss Loretta's is what it's called.
- 24:28Dayna Roselli: We know that.
- 24:28Sean McAllister: Right.
- 24:29Dayna Roselli: Okay, I was like making sure that that was right.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: But it says rumor has it there will be music, dancing, handcrafted cocktails, plenty of rhinestones, and just enough trouble to keep things interesting.
- 24:39Dayna Roselli: The rest, Loretta isn't saying.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: That would ruin the fun.
- 24:43Dayna Roselli: What we do know is around here, one song turns to five.
- 24:47Dayna Roselli: Strangers become friends, and nobody's in much of a hurry to call it a night.
- 24:52Dayna Roselli: A note from Miss Loretta.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: Don't worry, darling.
- 24:55Dayna Roselli: You'll know when it's time.
- 24:57Dayna Roselli: I like how I read that.
- 24:58Dayna Roselli: Maybe I should be like a book reader.
- 25:00Sean McAllister: There we go.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: Anyway, yeah, so um, it's coming to Resorts World at some point, soon-ish, and we'll find out.
- 25:09Dayna Roselli: I'm sure more details will be rolled out, but it sounds fun.
- 25:12Dayna Roselli: It says um it's a destination where country soul meets the kind of knights that start with good intentions and end with a better story.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 25:19Sean McAllister: Well, very vague.
- 25:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:24Sean McAllister: As soon as she's ready to say.
- 25:28Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 25:29Dayna Roselli: Sean, have you been to the Crown and Anchor on East Tropicana through the years?
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: We've lived here over 20 years.
- 25:33Sean McAllister: No, I have never been, but I've driven by it about a million times.
- 25:37Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: Okay, well, I have spent a lot of time there through the years because I would have friends that would, well, we've had many, you know, obviously it's every four years, but World Cups here.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: And I had friends that would be like, we're gonna watch the World Cup at the ground crown and anchor, or we're gonna watch this match or this sports, or I'd go and play darts with a group of people.
- 25:56Dayna Roselli: Um, so I used to go there a lot and then it closed, and it was so popular.
- 26:01Sean McAllister: Like iconic.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: Iconic, you know, people from the UK love it.
- 26:06Dayna Roselli: Well, back in the day, people outside love it too.
- 26:08Sean McAllister: I remember uh for our I produced the morning news here back in the day, and we would always send uh a live reporter there whenever there was a big like an England soccer game or something like that was happening.
- 26:22Dayna Roselli: Something big, yep, something like that.
- 26:23Sean McAllister: And the games Europe time would be happening at the crack of dawn our time.
- 26:28Dayna Roselli: Well, and they had a lot of like uh, you know, food traditional food from over in the UK and stuff like that.
- 26:33Dayna Roselli: So people loved it to get that experience.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: Um anyway, it ended up closing.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: I don't remember exactly when, but a few years ago, and people were like, what?
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: The Crown and Anchor, it's been here forever, it's the place for the Brits to go and all that.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: But it has reopened now.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: Um, and I'm excited about that.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: It's called the Irish Spot.
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: So um it's the same place, 1350 East Tropicana.
- 26:57Dayna Roselli: It's to the east of the Las Vegas Strip.
- 26:59Dayna Roselli: And they're saying that it's designed as a true bar for the people.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: It's going to blend, or it does blend because it's open now.
- 27:07Dayna Roselli: Um Irish-inspired comfort food, a curated beer program, and lively community-focused atmosphere inside there.
- 27:14Dayna Roselli: And they're still gonna be the go-to destination for watching major sporting events, European football matches, Irish sports, including hurling and Gaelic football.
- 27:25Dayna Roselli: Gaelic football.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: All right, yeah, continuing the tradition of the previous concept.
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: So it's basically the same concept, but more of an Irish twist.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: Um, they're gonna have all your food that you love over in Ireland.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: They're gonna have it there, and I bet it's amazing.
- 27:39Dayna Roselli: You're you're gonna get your fish and chips.
- 27:42Sean McAllister: Oh, I'm excited for the fish and chips.
- 27:44Dayna Roselli: Served with the mushy peas, 19 bucks, haddock, and uh bangers and mash with pork sausages, mashed potatoes, peas, and gravy for 16 bucks.
- 27:54Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 27:55Dayna Roselli: So um we gotta go check it out.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: I can't believe you've never been there.
- 27:58Sean McAllister: Not big on the bangers and mash, but I grew up uh with half of my family is a big Catholic family, and so every Friday we would get together for a Friday night fish fry.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah, big deal.
- 28:10Dayna Roselli: You can't eat meat on Fridays, especially during you know, during Lent.
- 28:13Sean McAllister: And so uh we would go and get fish and chips, and I that is still one of my favorite things to order, and I know that they're gonna do it right.
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:22Sean McAllister: So this So I'm excited to go over there and try.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: The Irish spot.
- 28:27Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 28:27Dayna Roselli: I'm so glad they sent us some pictures that we um are gonna put into the TV show, and it looks really nice.
- 28:32Dayna Roselli: Looks like they got a little outside area.
- 28:33Dayna Roselli: So so glad to see the what was the Crown and Anchor reopened now is the Irish spot.
- 28:40Sean McAllister: Let's get to our celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 28:46Sean McAllister: We are gonna see a lot of celebrities bopping around town of the sports variety, lots of basketball players, very tall people walking around.
- 28:56Dayna Roselli: You're like, whoa, why is there like six tall guys walking toward me?
- 29:01Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay, the NBA Summer League's in town.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so they're in town for like two weeks.
- 29:06Dayna Roselli: Um, I think, well, by the time this podcast drops, we'll kind of be inching toward the end of the first week.
- 29:11Sean McAllister: Right, yep.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: Uh, or no, actually, maybe it's ending this week.
- 29:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the championship game's on Sunday, but they're still doing a lot of things surrounding that.
- 29:18Dayna Roselli: They've got a film festival and lots of things going on.
- 29:20Dayna Roselli: Um, and I think that's actually in part of why it's been so busy this week.
- 29:25Dayna Roselli: Um, when you notice a lot of places packed, I'm seeing a lot of people in because you, you know, people come in to watch the games.
- 29:30SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 29:31Dayna Roselli: And then you've got the players and the teams all in town, and then you've got a lot of different, even celebrities and well-known athletes come in to watch the games and see how the rookies, I guess, look.
- 29:43Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:44Sean McAllister: And I know that there have been some people spotted uh at at nightclubs and uh, you know, different venues around town.
- 29:52Dayna Roselli: They do the pop-up performances because they gotta, yeah.
- 29:54Dayna Roselli: So um, it's a fun time to be here, just FYI.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: It's kind of celebrity news because I think you'll probably see uh some familiar faces around if if that's your thing and you're really into NBA basketball.
- 30:05Dayna Roselli: I feel like it's a good time to be in Vegas.
- 30:07Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is for sure.
- 30:08Dayna Roselli: Also, some quick show news.
- 30:09Dayna Roselli: The Emmy nominations came out, and a lot of the shows that were nominated were filmed right here in Las Vegas, or like a portion.
- 30:16Dayna Roselli: Hacks, tons of nominations.
- 30:19Dayna Roselli: And they had so many episodes.
- 30:20Dayna Roselli: Well, really, the whole show is kind of themed around Vegas.
- 30:23Sean McAllister: It is.
- 30:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and this season I feel like they really did a lot of shoots in Vegas.
- 30:27Sean McAllister: A lot of on-location stuff done here.
- 30:29Dayna Roselli: So tons of Emmy nominations for hacks, uh, Emmy nomination for Margot's Got Money Troubles, and they shot filmed one episode, full episode, here in Las Vegas, too.
- 30:40Dayna Roselli: So that's cool.
- 30:40Sean McAllister: And then we have uh Plurribus that uh a big chunk of that was uh over at the Westgate.
- 30:46Sean McAllister: And Westgate has really leaned into the the fact that the there's a connection there with the show, yeah.
- 30:52Sean McAllister: Uh which is exciting, and now some uh nominations there for Pluribus as well.
- 30:56Dayna Roselli: Um and also um so the the nominations, but something that's coming out actually, maybe even like right now on Apple, um also filmed at Caesars Palace.
- 31:07Dayna Roselli: I think we might have mentioned it, but um, it's a show called Lucky, and that had a big presence here in Las Vegas too.
- 31:15Dayna Roselli: Not uh Emmy nominated yet because it hasn't even hit the airwaves, but uh people just keep continuing to shoot you know shows here in Vegas.
- 31:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and Apple especially.
- 31:25Sean McAllister: Apple has done a lot.
- 31:26Sean McAllister: There's the upcoming uh Siegfried and Roy uh series that is that was being shot here as well.
- 31:35Sean McAllister: Um so hopefully that'll come out soon.
- 31:36Sean McAllister: I'm excited to see that.
- 31:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that'll be great.
- 31:39Dayna Roselli: Um, Lucky does uh is out now.
- 31:41Dayna Roselli: The season premiere, anyway, dropped uh depends when you're listening to this, but Wednesday, July 15th.
- 31:48Sean McAllister: Hey, and one other little bit of celebrity news.
- 31:50Sean McAllister: Emerald Legossi was one of the first celebrity chefs to come here to Las Vegas.
- 31:57Sean McAllister: And he's had a presence here for decades now.
- 32:00Sean McAllister: Well, he is opening a new restaurant off the strip at the M Resort.
- 32:05Sean McAllister: Uh, it's called Merrill.
- 32:08Sean McAllister: And so we're excited to go over and uh get a little preview of that and talk to Emerald.
- 32:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so when this podcast drops, you and I have will have already gone to the event.
- 32:18Dayna Roselli: We're actually, you know, recording on a Monday.
- 32:20Dayna Roselli: We're going Tuesday, and it's gonna be a very intimate gathering gathering, but we're gonna be there for the the opening.
- 32:25Dayna Roselli: It's kind of like a party preview, um, ribbon cutting, and we get to taste some of the food and chat with Emerald.
- 32:32Dayna Roselli: So we're excited to bring you that interview in the future.
- 32:36Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, I mean, really, I feel like everyone knows Emerald.
- 32:40Sean McAllister: Oh, he does.
- 32:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, we're gonna need to need to see if he'll he's game to do a you're watching Vegas Revealed.
- 32:47Dayna Roselli: Bam! Oh yeah, we gotta get bam!
- 32:50Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 32:52Dayna Roselli: I know, and I love that he's opening a restaurant at the M.
- 32:55Dayna Roselli: You know, it's very popular.
- 32:56Dayna Roselli: It's one of the first hotel casinos that you see as you drive in from California and uh off to the right there, and it does really well down there in the Henderson area.
- 33:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's they just expanded.
- 33:09Dayna Roselli: We've gone to a lot of different events there, very nice property.
- 33:13Dayna Roselli: So now they'll have an Emerald restaurant.

- 33:17Sean McAllister: Their pool is great, they have a great wine bar down in the in the cellar, which is really nice too.
- 33:23Sean McAllister: It's a great property.

- 33:25Dayna Roselli: Hey, you can always message us if you have a celebrity sighting.
- 33:29Dayna Roselli: Uh, we have a link in our show notes and you can text us.
- 33:32Dayna Roselli: We don't get where you're from, your name, or anything like that.
- 33:35Dayna Roselli: I think we see the last four digits of a phone number or something like that.
- 33:37Dayna Roselli: But uh, throw us celebrity sightings.
- 33:39Dayna Roselli: We love that.
- 33:40Dayna Roselli: If you're in Vegas, if you come to Vegas and you uh head home and you think of us, go, hey, I should tell Vegas Revealed I saw so-and-so at the pool last week.
- 33:49Dayna Roselli: You know, let us know.
- 33:51Dayna Roselli: Give us the details.
