- 0:04Speaker 1: Hi, Reverend Paul Slack. It's all faiths, no faith, spiritual ordained.
- 0:09Speaker 1: New York State can conduct officiate events all over the world.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And I say that because there are events all over
- 0:19Speaker 1: the world. They're good and good on many different levels,
- 0:24Speaker 1: say it on some and we just want to move
- 0:27Speaker 1: forwards in a good way. So this is an exciting week. Actually,
- 0:30Speaker 1: today's the nineteenth of June. Juneteenth they're calling it. It's
- 0:35Speaker 1: a federal holiday. And due respect of our some of
- 0:39Speaker 1: our ancestors. We're all brothers and sisters. It's from the
- 0:43Speaker 1: African way of being and living and coming from that
- 0:49Speaker 1: part of the world. And due respect. So that's a
- 0:52Speaker 1: nice thing. It's cool to be loving and caring for
- 0:57Speaker 1: our brothers and sisters. And peaceful. That's the name of
- 1:01Speaker 1: the game. September nineteenth, Times Square all about peace. We
- 1:05Speaker 1: hope to have a real diversity, equity and inclusion of everybody.
- 1:09Speaker 1: We can never think of because in essence, everybody is
- 1:12Speaker 1: one home shanty chanting home. Okay, why are we having? Well?
- 1:17Speaker 1: What is life? There's the title of our newsletter this week.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And you know I mentioned to everybody take a calcium
- 1:27Speaker 1: scan or make sure your heart is healthy. Of course
- 1:30Speaker 1: the rest of your body as well, because I found
- 1:34Speaker 1: out I was a little clogged up. And last Thursday
- 1:36Speaker 1: they did a couple of stints into my the Mount
- 1:38Speaker 1: signed a wonderful people, we got the March, signed the
- 1:41Speaker 1: Heart and great people over there. Jared Leventhal and the
- 1:47Speaker 1: team up at the Morningside Real Pros place was clean.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I was in a room that looked like looked Harlem
- 1:54Speaker 1: and it looked like I was in a Ritz Carlton.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So they taught me well. They treated me well. They
- 2:00Speaker 1: taught me well, also very explanatory. They told me exactly
- 2:04Speaker 1: what was going on and why it was going on.
- 2:06Speaker 1: So I want to thank them. That's the second time,
- 2:09Speaker 1: in essence they saved my life, I will say. Okay.
- 2:12Speaker 1: The last time is I had divaticulitis and my call
- 2:16Speaker 1: and broke and that was that. And actually one time
- 2:18Speaker 1: they put my finger back together. They've done a lot
- 2:20Speaker 1: of work on this whole body, thank God, and it's
- 2:24Speaker 1: still here kicking with love. Okay. So that's my health commentary.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And now in New York, New York, this is a
- 2:36Speaker 1: wild day here the eighteenth, and we're showing the big
- 2:41Speaker 1: celebration down in City Hall under the leadership of Mondami
- 2:46Speaker 1: and of James Dolan, and we thank him, and we
- 2:50Speaker 1: thanked the team of the Knicks for coming through this
- 2:54Speaker 1: year after fifty three years. And I think the big
- 2:58Speaker 1: deal here for us and for them is that it's
- 3:02Speaker 1: a loving crowd. It's a loving town now and it
- 3:07Speaker 1: always has. And this has brought out the good in
- 3:10Speaker 1: the town. Okay. The Knicks have really helped to inspire
- 3:14Speaker 1: us to love one another. And the streets have been
- 3:18Speaker 1: packed and the people have been smiling, and you can
- 3:22Speaker 1: easily say, just like the weather always says, hey, today's weather.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It's gorgeous out. You can have a conversation. This time
- 3:29Speaker 1: we can say, how about those Nicks in five? Okay?
- 3:35Speaker 1: All right, So we have a little bit of that,
- 3:37Speaker 1: and then we have a beautiful thing with a new controller.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Mark Levine, who had a Caribbean heritage celebration out there
- 3:47Speaker 1: in Brooklyn College. Yay Brooklyn College, Yay Brooklyn. I'm a
- 3:50Speaker 1: Brooklyn Dodgers fan, I'll be frank with you, and I
- 3:53Speaker 1: have family members who are off of King Highway. My
- 3:56Speaker 1: daughter grew up in Brooklyn, my dad was born there.
- 3:59Speaker 1: So a lot of you beutiful things in Brooklyn. So
- 4:02Speaker 1: that's a great party, and you should hear that whole event.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Got some nice steel drums there too as well. And
- 4:09Speaker 1: then our borough president of Manhattan, bred Holliman Siegel, had
- 4:15Speaker 1: started a book club. And now that's pretty pretty pretty
- 4:18Speaker 1: cool for a borough president to consider that. There was
- 4:22Speaker 1: an event that I call it the Hysterical Society, but
- 4:25Speaker 1: the Historical Society on the corner here seventy seventh Street,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and it was an author who talked about the Dutch
- 4:36Speaker 1: and the settlers of New York all the way up
- 4:39Speaker 1: to up the Hudson River, even up to my little
- 4:41Speaker 1: Terrytown up there, which is like a Dutch colony Legendsleepia Hollow, Washington, Irving.
- 4:46Speaker 1: He talked about some of our history of Terrytown, which
- 4:51Speaker 1: meant a lot to me. And my mother was a
- 4:53Speaker 1: librarian and I interviewed two thousand authors my mother's library,
- 4:57Speaker 1: Temple Emmanuel We're on Fifth Avenue. Okay, so way back
- 5:01Speaker 1: when you got a master's in in library science, Ruthie,
- 5:06Speaker 1: she was ahead of her time. All right, that's the deal.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I love you and I we're here for you. If
- 5:12Speaker 1: you need me, you call me and I'll do all
- 5:16Speaker 1: I can to assist you in any way, shape, size,
- 5:19Speaker 1: or form that you might need, Okay, And I'm sincere
- 5:23Speaker 1: about that. When somebody asks you to help them, help them, okay,
- 5:27Speaker 1: the best you can or say I can help you,
- 5:29Speaker 1: But in any case, at least show your respect. I'll
- 5:33Speaker 1: try if I can. I might not succeed, but i'll try. Okay.
- 5:38Speaker 1: We love you, Bye bye, have a good day. Hey.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Read the newsletter out the Doctor, The
