- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Hello, and welcome to T-Bone Sports One Fan All Game Podcast number 11.
- 0:09SPEAKER_02: Well, it is officially opening day of the NFL 2026-2027 season kickoff here in a few hours between the defending Super Bowl champions, Seattle Seahawks, and New England Patriots, a rematch of last year's Super Bowl in California.
- 0:27SPEAKER_02: They will be playing in Seattle tonight.
- 0:29SPEAKER_02: Before we get to kickoff of NFL, we do still have the crazy ongoing saga in college football with LSU.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: Late last night there was discussion and a court filing where tomorrow the SEC board and presidents and chancellors will meet to expel LSU from the SEC for allowing NFL players to join their roster.
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: This morning there's been a few updates.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna place bits of stuff I have found via Facebook and Instagram and other things about the situation going on now with the LSU drumma, allowing NFL players to play.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: They report that that will eliminate LSU's ability to add Daquan Wright and Xavier and Harris.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: No word yet on how that could impact the federal hearing in Birmingham.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: The SEC is asking a judge to stop LSU officials from interfering with a meeting later this week where the SEC could potentially vote to kick LSU out of the conference.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: A local attorney calls what's happening a mishmash of mess in courtrooms in Louisiana and here in Alabama.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: It just seems to me that this is much to do about nothing.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: That that that there's hurt feelings going on here and power plays going on here.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: But the bottom line is until all this litigation plays out, I don't see any way that any action should be taken against LSU.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: If a federal judge grants the injunction, then that would ensure that the SEC can hold its vote as set on Thursday.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: There are a lot of fast-moving developments in this story.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: You can find out the very latest right now on the WBRC News ad.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: I'm outside SCC Hit.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: So I mean, crazy to think that LSU is still trying to add on NFL players because a judge in Louisiana granted these players that are NFL players that played in preseason that were on NFL rosters that graduated this year because they are mad because they didn't get the ability to have a fifth year of eligibility, like the people they in the pandemic and everybody after them.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: They still want to go back to college football.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: They're pro players.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: They left college.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: They signed the paperwork to join the NFL, to enter the NFL draft.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: They didn't get drafted.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: They are undrafted free agents that played on an NFL team, went to training camp, went through the preseason, and unfortunately didn't make an NFL team.
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: That's what happens.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: Not everybody makes the NFL team.
- 3:29SPEAKER_02: Hundreds of players try out.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: 90 per team.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: All 32 teams have 90 players trying to get an NFL spot.
- 3:38SPEAKER_02: 53 of them make it.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: 16 of them make the practice squad.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: These guys didn't make either, and now they're mad.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's it's unreal that we're in week two of college football.
- 3:50SPEAKER_04: We're still discussing this issue that started before.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: You have a situation to where Lane Kiffin isn't following, doesn't want to follow the rules, wants to do his own thing.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Everybody else, he was allowing him to continue to do this, and they're turning a blind eye going, oh, you know, it's it's it's fair, it's just it's unreal.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: There's there's other things that have happened where during the halftime interview, he actually turns back to the reporter and says, Imagine if we had pro players.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: Now he doesn't speak directly into the mic saying this, he kind of leans in and walks back to her and and says these.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: And of course that went absolutely viral the way the way NFL or the way things are now in in you know everything now in the league.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: But it it it blows my mind we're we're in this situation to where we're we're still talking about about this situation to where you know and this was you know the controversy is just unreal that where we're we're still allowing this situation to happen.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: Now, does it happen?
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: Does it does it does it get done?
- 5:32SPEAKER_04: Does it have the fact that LSU is expelled from SEC which happened in the big yeast when a team was expelled because they just were playing horrible.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: But, you know, when you when you we we're in this situation, we're in week two of college football, and this is something we're st we're still discussing beyond beyond why I think this needs to be put to bed and and things need to needs to be needs to be done.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: And and obviously, you know, now here's the thing, these players and I'm gonna play another clip here from the from the score app, where again, this is another story that came out this morning to where it it says that you know these these players that they're assigning these two other players and that won't make room for the the two NFL players to join their their 105 player roster.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: But, you know, is this a smokescreen?
- 6:58SPEAKER_02: Is this something that's really gonna happen?
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: Is this you know a true thing, or are these just you know a smokescreen and they're really gonna sign these players and these players are gonna be added, and then later on after all this is settled in the court and the litigation and everything is done, those two players get removed, and these two NFL players actually get added on to this the roster.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: So here's a little tidbit off of the score app talking about the LSU finalizing their 105-man ro 105-player roster.
- 7:36SPEAKER_05: LSU finalized its full 105-player roster for the season Tuesday, opting not to include Daquin Wright and Xavian Harris amid the program's ongoing battle with the SEC over their eligibility, sources told Pete Thamill of ESPN, right and Harris, who spent time in NFL camps this summer before attempting to join LSU to play a fifth season in college, will not be able to join the Tigers roster for the rest of the year.
- 8:00SPEAKER_05: LSU reportedly rounded out its roster by adding Aidan Anding and Gabriel Relliford.
- 8:06SPEAKER_04: Now, is this actual true?
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: Is this something that's really gonna happen?
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: Is or is this just, you know, those two players' fake names that they're gonna use to be put on the thing and and somehow, you know, bend bend the rules again and make sure that they get pro players?
- 8:28SPEAKER_04: It it just it's baffling that we're we're sitting here.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: You know, this is still something, an ongoing saga.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: And it and it all stems from back this summer when Texas Tech, when the whole Sornsby gambling situation happened where he went to a Texas court and he was able to get an injunction to allow him to play, and then Texas Tech's like, well, we're gonna make all these rules, he's gotta follow, he's gotta be able to, we're gonna be able to check his phone, our IT guys, you know, we're gonna make sure he doesn't gamble, we're gonna, and it's it's an un, it's just it's a crazy situation, and this is something that you know needs to be settled, you know, and I I get you know, courts and I get that's how things are are are you know, lawsuits and everything are are figured out in this country, but college football is not professional football.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: They're college players, they're not professional athletes, they're athletes, they're they're kids that are going to school to get an education and they're playing a sport because they're really, really good at that sport.
- 9:39SPEAKER_02: But to be like, oh, I didn't make an NFL team, I I want to go back to college because I can I can get I can play a million, I can get a million dollars or two million dollars in in the NIL and and you know, I don't want to get you know 750 on a some stupid practice squad of the NFL and you know potentially not make it, or, or well, you obviously didn't impress the coaching staff enough to make that NFL roster.
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: You're on a practice squad or somebody else could have picked you up because maybe you could have maybe you impressed that coaching staff on that team, but no.
- 10:13SPEAKER_02: Another thing that it has been discussed is there is a potential that they might up the number of teams from 12 to 24 in the college football playoff situation, which definitely is something that I think you know would would be a good thing to do.
- 10:37SPEAKER_02: So off the score app, we'll play this little tidbit of of the uh the the board of directors actually discussing whether or not to add twelve more teams to make it twenty-four for the twenty twenty-six-2027 season.
- 10:51SPEAKER_05: Irving, Texas AP, the college football playoff announced Tuesday that it will open discussions with broadcast partner ESPN about potentially doubling the tournament to 2014s.
- 11:01SPEAKER_05: The CFP has decided to move forward in its evaluation of potential playoff expansion to 2014s by beginning a media rights discussion with ESPN.
- 11:10SPEAKER_05: The CFP said this does not represent a decision or commitment to expand, but rather an opportunity to engage with the SPN and gather additional information to help determine a path forward.
- 11:21SPEAKER_05: The CFP deal that starts the season with the SPN is worth$7.8 billion over six seasons.
- 11:27SPEAKER_05: That network would have first dips on the first two games added to any package, but the rest would be up for grabs.
- 11:33SPEAKER_05: Fox has indicated it likes the 24 team idea, but embedded within that equation is the calculation of how much any broadcast partner would pay for a new set of games involving teams that might not garner the same ratings.
- 11:44SPEAKER_05: The CFP has been studying the impact of expanding the playoff from 12 to 16 or 24 teams for months amid concerns about venues, the overall college football schedule, and the future of conference title games.
- 11:57SPEAKER_05: Southeastern Conference Commissioner Greg Senke has lobbied for 16 teams, while Big 12 and Atlantic Coast Conference leaders back a 2014 scenario that the Big Ten first put forward and still supports a 2014 playoff would eliminate automatic qualifiers and render conference title games whose estimated worth are some$200 million to the Power Four leagues virtually meaningless, but supporters say it would give all programs more access to the playoff.
- 12:23SPEAKER_05: The playoff expanded from four to twelve teams in 2024, but after executives failed to reach an expansion agreement, the CFP will use the same model for the 2026 to 2027 season.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: So, you know, I I like that idea.
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: I get, you know, four, you know, they're they're trying to make sure that in the in college football, they're they're sort of following the blueprint that the NB, the N the basketball has where they have March Madness where 66 or 68 teams, 64 teams have an opportunity to play for the national championship.
- 13:00SPEAKER_02: And then, you know, each every time you lose in that tournament, you're eliminated, and then you win, you move on, and you go, you know, the the you know the 32, the sweet 16, the elite eight, the final four, and then obviously you have the you have the national championship game.
- 13:13SPEAKER_02: But basketball has been doing that for years, and they've changed some things and they've added teams, and you know, obviously you win your conference championship, you know, you automatically get a bid, and then there's at-large bids and and other bids, and you get some of these smaller division one schools, you know, playing in the tournament, and and yeah, they get they probably get beat in the first round, or you know, you have teams that go into the play and and and obviously get beat.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: You know, obviously most of the time is a one will always beat a 16.
- 13:42SPEAKER_02: We have had 16 beats once, we've had 15 beat two.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: But that's that's what makes basketball, you know, the the the March Madness so crazy is you'll you'll see things like this.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: And and football, yeah, football's a little bit long, you know, a little bit shorter.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: You know, basketball's a very long season.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of games in it, you know, and they play all the way up until, you know, you know, end of end of June, end of end of May, beginning of, you know, all the way through May, you know, all the way through March, you know, and schools getting pretty close to being ended by then.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: A lot of these schools are in their finals and preparing to be done by May.
- 14:19SPEAKER_02: And it's just Yeah, yeah, and and it's crazy because you know, you get into April and before, you know, you really get into the championship game, and you know, you start at you know, kind of the you know, the end of you know the beginning of Mar middle of March, and it goes and it's just it's fun experience.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: It's fun to watch that.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: You know, and it'd be interesting to see when you start college football.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: Do you start before you know these you know colleges really start?
- 14:48SPEAKER_02: Do you add on and you do you shorten it, do you lengthen it?
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: You know, you obviously are are are you know at that point getting rid of bowl games?
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: Do you change the uh the the win total to get into a bowl game?
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: So these teams that the 24 team, you know, the teams that don't make the 24 team playoff, if it does get to that, still get a bowl game, and you know, schools still make their money, and you know, these sponsors that sponsor bowl games still get their money and make their money.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: But I I would totally love to see a 24 team playoff, but let's start off with 16, like you know, the SEC wants and then and then see going on from there to add on 12 more teams.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: Well, as I said at the beginning of the podcast, today is the official kickoff to the NFL 2026-2027 season.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: The Seattle Seahawks, the defending world champions, will play the New England Patriots in Kin in Seattle this evening, and then tomorrow.
- 15:53SPEAKER_02: Well, our time tomorrow, at 8 o'clock at night and or 10 o'clock at night, or you know, 10 o'clock in the morning of Friday in Melbourne.
- 16:04SPEAKER_04: We have, you know, the the LA Rams and 49ers playing in Melbourne, Australia.
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: All the way across the you know, on the other side of the world, on the other side of the date timeline.
- 16:20SPEAKER_02: And you know, there's crazy things going on with that.
- 16:23SPEAKER_02: But tonight, Patriots, Seattle rematch of last year's Super Bowl.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: Obviously, we know that the Seahawks are you know, the defending champs, and they're, you know, they're they're you know, they're the target on the target is on their back now to every team to try to beat them and for everybody to to go after them.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: You know, it it's an interesting that the NFL would would do this rematch right off the bat as I don't know, as as your ability to call, I guess.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: You know, then to make this the rematch, you you figured, oh, it'd be, you know, the the the you know, the Cardinals or the Rams or the 49ers and make it make it a you know a divisional game, but they decided not to.
- 17:24SPEAKER_02: And the def and it should be a fun game.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: You know, it's it'll be it'll be a fun game to watch.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: It'll be on ESP or NBC Peacock.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: So we'll we'll see how how the season starts.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: You know, it's it's interesting it's starting on a Wednesday and and not Thursday like it traditionally does, but we they'll have you know a Thursday game in the United States, but in Melbourne, in Australia, and every and on the other side of the day line it'll be on a a Friday.
- 17:50SPEAKER_02: But you know, we'll see.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: And can Sam Darnold repeat last year?
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: Can the can the Chief can you know Seattle defend the Super Bowl?
- 17:59SPEAKER_02: We we haven't had a repeat winner in in the Super Bowl in in quite a while.
- 18:04SPEAKER_02: So it'll be it'll be an interesting interesting thing to see how Seattle really does and see how new can New England beat Seattle and and not have a repeat of getting blown out tonight.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: We do, and then you know, obviously Friday we have a game, Thursday we have a game, Saturday there are no games for the college football, and then Sunday everybody else plays, and then Monday night, Denver and the Kansas City Chiefs will round out week one.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: That's the game that a lot of us here in Colorado, and especially us Bronco fans, are the the ones we're you know, we're we're interested in.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: You know, Sunday, the Bears, Panthers, play the Ravens, Colts, Falcons, Steelers, Browns, Jaguars, Bengals, Tampa Bay, Buccaneers, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, vs Texans, the Cardinals and Chargers, the Packers and Vikings, you know, another divisional game, which should be very interesting to watch.
- 19:10SPEAKER_02: The Dolphin Raiders.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: Curious who's gonna win that one.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Both teams obviously aren't gonna do squat this year.
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: One's gonna start 0-1, one's gonna start out 0-1-1-0.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: Commanders and Eagles, another divisional game.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: Cowboys, Giants, another divisional game.
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: That's Sunday night football.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: That'll that'll be.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: And then Monday, big time divisional game.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: The defending AFC West Champions will play the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 19:37SPEAKER_02: Is Patrick Mahomes gonna play?
- 19:38SPEAKER_02: We'll see.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: Is he not?
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: Will it be Justin Fields?
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: You know, it'll it'll be a very it'll be a very interesting, I think, situation for for the Chiefs.
- 19:53SPEAKER_04: Do you do you run out?
- 19:54SPEAKER_04: Do you risk running?
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: You know, your your your quarterback out that dealt with an injury last year with getting his knee blown out and having to have surgery the day after it happened, which still some people are claiming that isn't quite a real injury and it was fake and all this, but you know, we'll we'll we'll come to find out on Monday night.
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: So football is back, the wait is over, and NFL season starts, and that's let's see.
- 20:24SPEAKER_02: Tonight's gonna be an exciting night.
- 20:26SPEAKER_02: Thursday will be an exciting night, Sunday, obviously, with the rest of the teams playing, and then Monday night with the the the Chiefs Broncos finishing up week one will be will be exciting.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: I I'm excited to see how the Broncos do and and see if they can you know have a repeat of 14 and 3, which you know I don't think anybody expects.
- 20:46SPEAKER_02: You know, ESPN has projected them to finish tied last at 7-10 with the Oakland, with the LA Ray, or the you know, the the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: I I just don't get why ESPN has no respect for for the Denver Broncos.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: They they don't think Bo Nix is a top-tier quarterback, they don't think he's a top five quarterback, they don't think he's a top 10 quarterback.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: I I just don't get why ESPN and all these guys on the East Coast just don't like you know, Denver Broncos, and you know, it's all about, you know, the the Chargers, it's all about the Chiefs, you know.
- 21:28SPEAKER_02: We know the Raiders aren't gonna do anything because they got a new coach and you know, a quarterback that's pretty much on his way out, and they have a rookie quarterback that they drafted number one because he had a one sit, one hit wonder season in Indiana and went undefeated and you know won the national championship and won the Heisman.
- 21:47SPEAKER_02: But you know, we we've seen things like this before where this quarterback is all hyped up and he's he's the best and he'll he'll do everything.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: And but we'll we'll see.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: I I do see the Broncos, you know, obviously this is a tough one.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: I I I don't know if it's best to say they're gonna start out 0-1 and then go on a huge go on a huge you know huge run like they did last year or start out 0-2 and then really go on this big run or start out, you know, go one and one, two and you know, one and two, one and three, and then just, you know, go on a gonna go on a huge run.
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: You know, there's there's people predicting all kinds of things out there.
- 22:32SPEAKER_02: You know, one of the one of the projections is that I've found from Sports Huggie is the Broncos will finish 2-12 12-5, which I I I can totally see being 12-5.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: You're you're obviously still gonna make the playoff.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: You'll either be a divisional winner at that between you know the Chargers and Chiefs, depending on how they do, or you'll be a wild card team to go.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: But they project week one will be you know a loss via the against Kansas City.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: They'll win the week two against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 23:15SPEAKER_02: They'll lose week three against LA, which, okay, I I can see losing, I can see losing week three against LA.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: LA's, I think, you know, gonna be the team out of the East or out of the NFC to beat.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: I think they're they're really gonna be the team that to beat fully out of out of everything, out of all of the NFL teams.
- 23:37SPEAKER_02: You know, obviously lose week week four against San Francisco.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: That I I think, in my opinion, is still a toss-up, but then obviously win against the the LA Chargers, beat the Seattle Seahawks, beat the Arizona Cardinals, beat the Chiefs the second time they play them, beat the Carolina Panthers, have their bye week.
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: One, two, three, four, five, you know, a five-game winning streak going into their bye week, beat the Raiders coming out of their bye week, win six, beat the Steelers, win game seven in a row, beat the Dolphins, win game eight in a row, beat the Jets, win game eight in a row eight in a row.
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: You know, beat the Raiders a second time, win nine in a row, lose against Buffalo, lose against New England, two-game losing street, and then beat the Chargers the last game of the season, finishing out 12 and 5.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: I I can totally see that.
- 24:31SPEAKER_04: I think that's that's a totally respectful.
- 24:37SPEAKER_04: A totally respectful uh, you know, record for the Broncos.
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: I can see 11 and 6, I can see 13 and 4.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: Do I see 14 and 3 again?
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: No, but this this will be a very good season for the Broncos.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: I do see them going back into, you know, going back into going back into the the playoffs, be being that team to to really beat, and it'll it'll be it'll it'll be ready to go.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: I I think that you know it'll it'll be a great, great, great, great year, and and you know, it'll be exciting to watch, you know, a little bit of football on a Wednesday night, which is uh you know an odd night to start an NFL season, but you know, who who knows.
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: You know, we we have so many different things going on, and you know, we have teams predicting to to do well, and you know, you know, the the you know certain people have, you know, wild card, the bears, the cowboys, the seahawks is is one person's prediction, and and you know, they're all over the place.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: And and again, so few people have such little respect for the fact that, you know, for for the Denver Broncos and you know, ESPN being being one of them is is unreal or unheard of.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: I I just find that, you know, and again, it's it's the lack of, you know, I think, you know, the disrespect the Broncos don't get.
- 26:19SPEAKER_02: You know, they're they're one of those teams that I think should be, you know, prove, you know, until they, you know, people prove that they aren't who they are.
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: I I think you don't you don't do that.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: And, you know, yeah, they had a lot of one-score games.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: They had a lot of games they had to come back in, especially that that New York Jets game or New York Giants game where they were down, you know, they hadn't scored the last 10 minutes of the fourth quarter.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: They they scored, you know, 33 points and were able to come back and and win that game.
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, so it'll it'll be an exciting season.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: It'll be it'll be the 2026-2027 Seven with Super Bowl 61.
- 27:03SPEAKER_02: Now, here's here's the crazy thing.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: Because the way as as late as they're starting now, that they're starting the second week of September, you know, and they gave, you know, one of the things I I do applaud the NFL for doing is giving Labor Day weekend solely to college football.
- 27:19SPEAKER_02: You guys have that weekend, you play games on Sunday and Monday, and then you know, we'll we'll wait a whole week and and you know a few days later, and and we'll play, you know, the second full week of September, and we'll give you guys the beginning of September to have your full, you know, whatever you want, and and you have the the start of the season, and then obviously they give, you know, they make sure that you know that Army and Navy game is the only college game played, which again I think is a great thing to do.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: You take those two service academies, you make that the spotlight of college football, and give them their own Saturday before any of the bowl games start, and and that's one thing, but Super Bowl 61 will be Sunday, February 14th, Valentine's Day.
- 28:09SPEAKER_04: I cannot believe the NFL is playing a Super Bowl on Valentine's Day.
- 28:20SPEAKER_02: You know how many wives are gonna be upset that their husbands aren't gonna take them to dinner or cook them a fancy dinner or do any of that?
- 28:28SPEAKER_02: Oh, sorry, honey.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: It's it's crazy, but it'll it'll be an exciting thing.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: It is in SoFi, it is back in California.
- 28:39SPEAKER_02: It is on ESPN, it is on ABC, it is on Disney.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: So there's gonna be some crazy thing happening.
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: You know, are we gonna see Disney characters at the Super Bowl and on the sidelines?
- 28:52SPEAKER_02: And is Mickey gonna hand out the the Super Bowl trophy, the Lombardi trophy, and you know, who's this year's surprise team gonna be to make the playoffs to make a run in the playoffs or or to win the division or to go from worst to best, which we've seen plenty of times in the NFL.
- 29:10SPEAKER_02: Who's gonna go from best to worst, or you know, are we gonna have are we gonna have a repeat champion for the first time since New England did it?
- 29:20SPEAKER_02: It's it's gonna be an exciting season.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: You know, NFL is is a week-to-week thing now.
- 29:25SPEAKER_02: It's never the same thing.
- 29:27SPEAKER_02: It's uh completely unpredictable of what's really gonna happen, and we'll we'll see what happens.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: But I will keep you in touch and keep you updated on the saga coming out of LSU.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: If word comes down tomorrow and and we see if the SEC still has SEC has their meeting and still decides to kick LSU out of the the uh the SEC.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: I will keep you apprised on that.
- 29:56SPEAKER_02: We will see what happens.
- 29:58SPEAKER_02: I will obviously do a recap of week one in the NFL season, which starts tonight.
- 30:06SPEAKER_02: Week two of college football starts this weekend.
- 30:09SPEAKER_02: Alabama plays, they are one and oh, the University of Colorado is one-o, and they play against Weber State.
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, and by the way, University of Colorado got three top 25 votes in the latest AP poll for their win over Georgia.
- 30:24SPEAKER_02: Kind of crazy, but hey, again, here we are, you know, Deion Sanders, you know, making headlines, getting this team to be recognized nationally when a lot of teams are, you know, people were counting them out.
- 30:39SPEAKER_02: You know, counting them out to see.
- 30:42SPEAKER_02: Week two of the NFL season starts Thursday, Florida AM against number seven Miami.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: Friday, it'll be Villanova against 14th rank Louisville.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: North Fork State will play in 25th rank Virginia Cavaliers, Richmond and North Carolina State, Rutgers and Boston College.
- 31:07SPEAKER_02: Let's see if Rutgers askfully decides to show up this game or get blown out by Boston College.
- 31:13SPEAKER_02: Missouri and Kansas will round out Friday, September 11th, Saturday, September 12th, Alabama versus Kentucky at 130, University of Colorado versus Weber State at 130, Washington State against Kansas State, Howard against Indiana, Appalachian State against Eastern Carolina, Oklahoma, number 11, Oklahoma versus Michigan.
- 31:41SPEAKER_02: This, that, that's going to be a really good matchup.
- 31:43SPEAKER_02: Let's see if if Oklahoma can can really sit there and prove to the world and prove to the college football that they are a team to be reckoned with in college football and can be in the be one of the 12 teams in college in the college football playoffs.
- 31:57SPEAKER_02: You know, Eastern Tennessee State and North Carolina, you know, especially with the saga, we really haven't even discussed that saga of what's going on with Bib Belichick and in North Carolina, Penn State versus Temple, Wolford against Kansas, Kent State, Arizona Vince, Arizona State against Texas AM.
- 32:15SPEAKER_02: You know, again, can't Texas AM prove to be in the top 10?
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: Are they going to be able to prove that they do belong in the college football playoff?
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: You know, week week two in college football can be such a huge thing.
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: These teams that start out 1-1 that are ranked, all of a sudden, you know, they play smaller schools in week one to get warmed up to get ready to go, and then all of a sudden they start playing some of these other power schools in another power five conference.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, this is going to be a cakewalk.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: You know, they're, you know, boom.
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: And they wind up losing, you know, olden Minion versus Virginia Tech, South Florida against Army.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: That'll be a fun one to watch.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: Again, Army's one of those teams, along with Air Force, along with Navy that doesn't really pass the ball a lot.
- 32:55SPEAKER_02: They they run the ball to really get you know the clock going.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: Number six, Oregon against Oklahoma State.
- 33:00SPEAKER_02: That'll be a fun, a fun matchup.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: West Whig Force, Purdue, Western Kentucky, and Georgia.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: Again, can Georgia prove to be number two?
- 33:08SPEAKER_02: Are you know are they going to take Western Kentucky easy?
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: Is it going to be one of those trap games?
- 33:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's one of those big trap games.
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: So it'll be it'll be a good slate of games on on you know over the weekend.
- 33:23SPEAKER_02: And you know, week two of college football is is always crazy, and we'll see what goes on.
- 33:30SPEAKER_02: We let's see here.
- 33:32SPEAKER_04: Who does who does LSU play in week two?
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: Oh, Louisiana Tech.
- 33:46SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 33:47SPEAKER_02: Another game, obviously, LSU is gonna really blow out.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: And on do you hear Lane Kiffin?
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: Hey, you know, imagine if we had NFL players on our squad when we play, you know, Louisiana Tech, we can score a hundred points on him.
- 33:59SPEAKER_02: So I'll keep you apprised on the drama out of LSU to see if they do get kicked out of the SEC.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: We'll see.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: There's rumors saying that the board has the votes to do it, but we'll see.
