Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome in everybody.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: It is the aftermath episode of the Myahahoodle podcast.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm your host Chad Jensen with me.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: My fellow football priest, you know him, you love him.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: Zach Kelberman and Zach, here we are a day removed from the Broncos.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: Take care of business in a most unsatisfactory way, but taking care of it nevertheless.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: Number one seed, how are you feeling about things before we get to some of the news and stuff?
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: How are you feeling about things one day removed now?
- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: Same as yesterday as always.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm happy the Broncos clinched the one seed.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: They'll have a bite week this week at a chance to rest up.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe get some players back and correct the flaws that they showed yesterday.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: They showed the week prior.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_03]: Even Sean Payton said it's not a perfect product, but they needed to get a win and they got a win.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_03]: So now it's just in terms of scouting the Broncos next opponent for division around weekend, next weekend.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos have a little extra time.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: And during some of that extra times act, we know at least one of the guys is going to be doing a guy by the name of Vance Joseph is going to be interviewing for a head coaching Bay can see Zach or at least that's what I've read courtesy of your article break it down for everybody who has got their hooks in already on VJ who's in on Joseph.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_03]: That would be the Tennessee Titans who fired Brian Callahan and they're on the market for a new head coach.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_03]: They're one of the like five or six teams, whatever it is, Chad, that are in the market for a new head coach.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_03]: But they will speak with VJ over the course of this by week via Zoom.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's a virtual interview and VJ is permitted to speak with them.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: The Brock was camp block a promotion.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_03]: So that's the first of what's expected to be several interviews for VJ this cycle chat and keep in mind that if he does get a head coaching job, the Brock was get two compensatory third round draft picks.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: they'll have to console themselves with the two third round comp picks and oh dot gum at Jim Leonard's our new defense for you to shoot.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, they're Christians and in the he's with a super chat and again, guys, except my apologies.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry to make a keep you guys waiting so long tonight in particular, but Taylor,
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: great to see you big dog.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: He says, V.J., I think will stay.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: And the bills is who will play.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: Go Broncos.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: So two separate little nuts to crack here.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think V.J.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: is gone for what it's worth.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I think based on what he has said himself when he's at the podium, Zach, but especially the things he was saying during the podcast rounds he made during the buy.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: Bro, he's got his heart set on getting another crackle.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's very, very regretful and it or not in a sense of like it directed toward anybody, but that feeling of I didn't get a fair crack at it because I didn't have a quarterback.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: I could actually see him going to Tennessee and doing some damage because you got a young cam ward.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: Who I do think could still be something.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: So I think VJ,
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: with the right opportunity.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not necessarily saying Zach that he takes any offer that comes his way, although why wouldn't you?
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's more life-changing money and hey, we've got the kids and the grandkids taking care of for life.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Let's take care of the grandkids, grandkids, you know, get one more contract with the NFL owner.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: But what do you think here, and then let's also talk about who's coming in the division around?
- 3:29[SPEAKER_03]: Along with you, I think VJ has gone.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: He had several or a couple interviews last coaching cycle with the jets and the Raiders I believe and he stayed.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: So Taylor, unless the Walton show VJ a big, big bag for him to remain as offensive coordinator, I do think he will be departing.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I think he's earned the second head coaching stench at, I don't know if it's going to work out for him.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: Some guys are better coordinators than head coaches.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_03]: but it's been eight years since he was first hired as the Broncos HC and based on his track record and Denver, I think he has earned that second head coaching gig.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_03]: In terms of Buffalo, I understand why you'd want to play them.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think they're Owen Ford on the road in the Josh Allen era.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_03]: Although he's the most experienced quarterback in the playoffs.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_03]: If I had my drillers, give me Aaron Rogers, a team that's squeaked by Baltimore last night and probably should have lost that game.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so the first seed, one of the benefits, you know, you get the first round by, you get home-filled advantage and you get to play the lowest seed that emerges from super wild card weekend.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of people think Zach, it could be the chargers who were going to take on the New England Patriots.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's a locked matchup.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of think they're going to go in there and beat the Patriots.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think the chargers are coming back.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: But on the subject of VJ, we'll look, dude.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: He has earned a job, I think, another crack at it.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_02]: And one of the things that people are going to find owners and GMs out there, very attractive about VJ, is pull up a chair, tell us everything you've learned from Sean Payton, like the Sean Payton effect.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: And even VJ once again, I was paying attention during the buy when he was making the rounds on those podcasts.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: I was paying attention to what he was saying.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: And he spoke often,
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: about how his eyes have been open to so many little different Nux and crannies of being a head coach that he was here to for death dumb and blind to thanks to Sean Peyton how much he's learned how much better he probably could be as a head coach thanks to what he's learned.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was fired in 2019 in the beginning of 2019.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's six, seven years ago now, Chad, almost to the day.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_03]: So he's learned a lot in that time.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_03]: And again, whether it works out in another local as a head coach, we do not know, but if we both feel like he's deserving of the job.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: Papa Bear in the he's he great to see a big dog.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: He successfully predicted the final record and that's not easy to do because only once before Zach has a Bronco team One 14 game so it's not like you know pretty common number 10 11 wins whatever 14 and three kudos to you Papa Bear good evening Broncos country.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: He says what a regular season indeed Broncos for life
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, sir.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about it.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: It feels good.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: You guys feels good.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: And now the second season begins the tournament.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Bam from the top row.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: Woot.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: Brother, thank you so much.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you, Big Dog.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: He says evening guys.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos have the one seed in the AFC.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: How awesome is that?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's amazing what the Walton Panner group, George Peyton and Sean Peyton did the last two seasons, despite the Wilson dead cap hit and limited draft picks go Broncos.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's why Sean Peyton deserves to be the coach of the year, honestly.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there are, if you just based at Solisac on whatever happened on the field, take out all other considerations, including experience, you could make arguments for Liam Cohen,
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: other guys, but Sean Payton, the amount of obstacles he and the Broncos had to overcome just to get on the field, let alone win 14 games.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: The dead cap money over the last two years.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's won 24 games.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: Zach with 85 million in cap space that other teams got to spend on players that he didn't
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: and the limit of draft picks and at least initially that's kind of part of his own doing those far as you know getting the trade to come to Denver.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: But your thoughts here for Sam.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, bro.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: Love you.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Sam.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much for that and you're right.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_03]: But the Broncos hit on one pick in particular that spawn this whole turnaround and that would be the quarterback.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: because like Vic Fangio said, you can't win this league without a quarterback and the Broncos finally got one.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_03]: They got the perfect one for Sean Payton.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_03]: So when you hit on that, you turn around pretty quickly.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_03]: And it's amazing.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like you said, we went from being 5 and 12 and 22 to being the number one seed in 2025 incredible.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, dude.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: It feels good.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_02]: And he's not going to get that recognition.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think anyways.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, the NFL at
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: to count how to pay it in any way, shape, or form.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think it's about Zack, the bounty gate stuff.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like the bounty gates and teams trying to hurt other players and knock him out of the game, you know, maybe that's the first time a team got caught, but that kind of stuff, man, you go way back in the NFL.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, it was probably a little bit more commonplace than that instance of the 2000, well, was a 2009 Saints, was the team that, and maybe the 2010 that it came out under anyway.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: My point here, it's not that dude.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's the, he's tough to love thing all over again.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the way he kind of treats media, the way he kind of presents publicly, he can be tough to love.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: But what makes you love him is,
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: that cat gets skin.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_02]: One way or no, they're the job gets done.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_03]: I also think there's this perception incorrect or correct around the NFL at the Broncos or a little fraudulent chat that they're the most fraudulent number one seed and NFL history.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_03]: I've heard that from not just fans, but media members as well.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I don't think Sean Payton's going to get his flowers, but we all know the bang up job he's done in Denver.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: People who are blinded by Star Wars numbers.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: And again, we kind of were complaining about this yesterday.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like you looked at what Jacksonville did against their sub-part team.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: You look at what the Patriots did yesterday.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: You look at what Buffalo did.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: They're blowing everybody out, right?
- 9:31[SPEAKER_02]: These teams that aren't making the playoffs, they're final divisional game of the year.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: They're blowing them out, the Broncos.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_02]: they're doing it they're playing at their divisional opponent that doesn't even have their starting quarterback or half of their best players and there it's a rock fight down to it felt like I mean look they won by two touchdowns that so it's not like it was a close game per se and the Broncos controlled it from the get.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: But I understand why people look at it and go, one of these things is not the same.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like what's going on here?
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: But they're going to find themselves bitterly depressed over being wrong because the one thing the Broncos have that some of these other teams don't have the Star Wars numbers in the quarterback thing with the
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: big points and the big yardage is that fourth quarter clutch gene.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: And that's something that Bonix has, that's something this entire team's act is proven time and time again this year.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: And all that experience, last thing I want to say, all that experience, all those close games, all the way down to the wire, who has the will to win, who's going to blink first?
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: All that experience,
- 10:32[SPEAKER_02]: it can't be for not it's got to serve him in the playoff now will it that's the big question we expect it to will find out i'd i expected to i think so but when that happens that you're going to have a lot of people eating their hats head wonder looking the he's he great to see a back to back nights he's seen he's saying uh feeling better about last night
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: We saw how much a 38 to nothing went over the chiefs in the finale last year helped us in the playoffs game plan went super safe post pick six will be ready that's a good point to Zach that you know they were moving the ball on that first possession ended up having to settle for a field goal so you can still kind of
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Payton goes all right out with the game plan we're just going to try and kill as much clock as we can and dominate that other quarterback.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: I've heard this argument about last year, and I hope I'll blow out would have helped them in the playoffs.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't think the situations are comparable, Chad.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: They beat the chiefs in week 18.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_03]: And then they have to turn around the next week and go to Buffalo in the wildcard around on the road.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_03]: This year, they're having a buy week.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_03]: They're staying at home for the divisional round.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_03]: So I think it's subjective.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_03]: I would have liked the breakfast to win a little more convincingly.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_03]: And they did go super safe.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_03]: They played not to lose.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_03]: Although I'm praying that was intentional.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll see just a beast mode of a team
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: Smouse is officially in the house as a member on YouTube for three months and then also just as a dear friend and a superstar dating back many, many years he's OG here superstar going way back he's saying let's go all the way.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: Let him hate a man, brother, a man.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: We also got the wrong check and then get thing, five MHH memberships to folks in the chat.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for that wrong.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: Means the world buddy, you have been super generous, the last week, you're always generous, but super generous the last week or so.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I hope you know Zach and I and Scott, we see you, we feel, thank you bud.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: We got crispy bacon 90,
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: I know I I feel like exact I should recognize who this is, but the handles different.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have no clue.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go look on the back end after we answer this.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_02]: So Chris B. Bacon.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: Hey guys, Ben O'Wild.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: I've had a lot going on that's been been really hard.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_02]: We lose VJ.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder who
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: would take over.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: Anyone you think that would be perfect.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, I'm going to go look something up real quick.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead and drop some knowledge form real quick because I know we know this guy.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's just it's a different, it's a different handle.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: So hang with this brother.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Chad, he mentioned them earlier that would be Jim Leonard who is the secondary coach right now and he's being groomed I think to be the defensive coordinator out of house though crispy.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know where the brock is good go.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_03]: They did sniff around no pun intended Rex Ryan before they settled on VJ, but I think they're going to keep it in house and promote Jim Leonard to B. C. Way to second here's that keeper going for second.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking one last thing one last thing.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: Big super here from Shannon Mills, 4999 super.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much Shannon for that.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: Good evening.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_03]: I feel better about yesterday, at least I am not a Ravens fan.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_03]: LOL, I wish VJ Well, but not sure ahead coaches the position for him, Patence Culture Change affected the team in a positive way.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_03]: Future looks bright.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely Shannon, agree with everything you said there.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much for your massive super chat.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I can't find it because obviously, like, it's not a super chat.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: So, bro, tell us your, your name so I can connect the dots.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: These things drive me nuts.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I hate it when YouTube does this to me.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: Because sometimes we, we, we, we, remember if you would look in your private chat, you could see his, uh, page and name.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Chris Bell for being a member for a long time.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: Producer bomb.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: You got it first.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Scott and I, we're going to be doing a Tommy boy road trip at the end of this month.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be fun to do in the senior ball.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: We'll film the whole thing, you know, when we hit the deer and we stick it in the back of the truck and we try the car and we try we'll film it all for you guys and turn it into a sick vlog.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: Shannon, thank you so much.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the the culture change.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: is the biggest thing.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: And if they're getting to the one seed Zach in year two of the Sean Peyton bonex thing, I think this is the Broncos have ref officially Zach re-entered a new competitive window.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: And it's going to be this way for a while.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like Sean Peyton was talking about it.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: What was it?
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: Wednesday or Friday, the bow, you know, kind of ingest is like, how long
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: There's a shoot, I don't know, bow another five, six, seven years, and then, you know, when that game in Vegas started going sideways a little, he's like, make that tube, oh, you know, you're going to kill me here with all the antics in jest, right?
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's joking, but they're going to be here together for a long time and think about this, Andy Reed is 67, Peyton just turned 62.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: go back five years and you read.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: They've won a couple of super bowls over that span, right?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: They've done a lot over that period of time.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's kind of what Sean Payton is expecting and aiming to do with what remains of his NFL coaching career, which is still going to be sometime yet.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mentioned the barocos hitting on bonyx the one of their limited draft picks being the biggest one and that's what happens when you hit on the quarterback you open up that rookie contract quarterback window and the barocos are just jumping through that window right now so Shannon again, thank you so much for your super.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was tough for the Ravens dude.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: That was a fun finish of to that Raven stealers game no doubt about it, but.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: wild wild the way it shook out.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad Zach it was the Steelers and not the Ravens for what it's worth.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: They made the playoffs just for the sake of the Broncos.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: But guys, lots more to get to.

- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Zach, back to the chat here.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: So another thing that happened today is the Denver Broncos curious to get your thoughts on this.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: made a handful of roster moves, so they waved Garen Christian, the offensive tackle, that spent time on their 53 cents, what was that middle of early December, and then also Mercedes Lewis, the tight end was wave, promoted from the practice squad to the 53, Sam Ellinger, the quarterback, what do you make of these, this trio of roster moves at?
- 18:52[SPEAKER_03]: I make of it like at least they got history out of Marseilles Lewis who became what was at the oldest player to ever appear in a game at 41 or oldest Titan and I think it was Chad so he served the Broncos well, but he became expendable when they picked up a little Jordan Humphrey They're the same offensive role as a as a blocker and not much of a a past catching weapon So I wish them well and happy for Eleanor that he's getting his chance on the 53 after hanging around on the practice one
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Chris, thanks buddy.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, Scott.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry guys had to change it.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's all good to do this.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: This was me like, you know, I'm playing 40 chess over here trying to trigger Scott into a producer bomb and it worked.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, it worked.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway Chris great to have you buddy.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: Seriously.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: We got Sue Gibson who says so guys are just meant to be coordinate.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: Some guys are just meant to be coordinators Joseph's one of them.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: He was not good as a head coach before.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: I happen to agree with you on the subject of Joseph like.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, when I say, there's almost, if he gets offered a job, I think he's probably going to take one.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's not because I think he necessarily should, I mean, of course he should.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: There's money to be made for him.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I want the best for him, sure.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: not that I think he's going to be out there killing it with wherever he goes.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: He is one of those guys that I think is kind of like a weight Phillips, kind of like a big fangeo, that government, best served as a coordinator, but he could surprise me.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: you know, he has learned quite a lot under Sean Peyton.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: So if he got into a situation Zach worry had a quarterback, I could see him having some success because he is a culture guy.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: It might not have seen that way.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: The two years Zach that BJ was head coach of the Denver Broncos, because it just seems like such a piss poor loser's locker room type thing, but he is in fact
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: and he learned even better as heck how to cultivate the right culture.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: So if you can get himself a quarterback whether inheriting or one of these teams high in the draft, I could see him having success, but I don't expect it per se.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know who asked the question, but there's plenty of examples of coordinators that didn't make good head coaches.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_03]: Josh McDaniels was one sue.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_03]: You're absolutely right about that.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_03]: Josh McDaniels is a great coordinator now.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's not a good head coach as we saw Brian shot in the hammer.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_03]: The son of Marty shot in the hammer.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_03]: Two good coordinators, two awful head coaches.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_03]: So I wish VJ wealthy does depart.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_03]: I have my apprehensions.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_03]: I could see it going either way though.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: But absolutely he needs a quarterback to win in the NFL.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: Pro 16 a deer member saying the chargers aren't beaten New England.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: They're too banged up.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: They are a little banged up, but Let me ask you this, Pro 16 honest question.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: Do the best you can as we always try to remove the orange colored glasses with the Broncos beat the Patriots if you think the Broncos would beat the Patriots
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the chargers beat the Broncos, fair and square when they were all full strength in week three and gave them a frickin' run for their money without their key guys in the finale.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_02]: I like the chargers going in and upsetting.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_02]: I know, obviously, the expectations Zack is that the Patriots will be the favorite there, but this chargers team with Jim Harba and Justin Herbert, man, making plays at the end and just,
- 22:24[SPEAKER_02]: I like him in this game, but then there's also Zach the old chargers are going to charge her thing.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: So at some point, you know that's going to happen.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it is the wild card round, but I don't know.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: I like their chances of being the team that comes to face Denver.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_03]: I hope they don't.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_03]: If there's one team that has the Broncos number chat, it seems like it's the chargers and Herbert and Harbaugh.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_03]: So I do hope New England wins this game.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_03]: And if you're a believer in destiny, well, Broncos Patriots, AFC title game in Denver, there's your team in destiny right there.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: uh... so all right let's grab uh... let's grab bakes productions o eight jumping in from across the pond London calling did London com you know that rift ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: There is that possibility that's been bandied about what if the Walton penners give them a bag, what do you stay?
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think you need you because the Broncos are also a little bit incentivized to let him go.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: They love what he brings to the table.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: They probably believe he's worth more to them as their defense coordinator than two third round compensatory picks.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: But that incentive, and especially when you've got such a prime guy waiting in the wings who knows the personnel.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like this is a guy that you'd have to bring in Zach from outside who, you know, worked with Peyton before or whatever, like a rizzy on special teams.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: as the error parent when VGA gets his next shot.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's, if it comes down to what do you think makes the Broncos defense go?
- 24:10[SPEAKER_03]: Is it the coaching or is it the talent?
- 24:13[SPEAKER_03]: I happen to believe it's the talent, Chad, because if you replace, as we'll see maybe in 26th of your place, Vijay with another coordinator, I don't see the drop off being too dramatic because they're just littered with talent on that side of the ball.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_03]: I would miss him because it seems like Vijay always cooks up a good game plan versus my homes and the chiefs, but I think they can transition pretty seamlessly if he does take
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, man, thank you so much for the super chat.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos Country is not a geographic location.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: It is, in fact, a state of being and you're proven that right now.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: D Wilder in the House, David, thank you, buddy.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: A dear member saying, don't let VJ go to Las Vegas.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: Let him go.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have a quarterback.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: Now, they could draft one, right, Zach?
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: But even then, it's gonna take some time.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's why the two jobs that are really the two least,
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, maybe they end up getting filled last type thing is the Raiders and the Cardinals just because they're respected divisions, that gets a tough ask.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: But most coaches, you know, the top half who have options can choose, you know, but beggars who can't be choosers, they'll be the last ones in and they'll take those jobs and wouldn't shock me if DJ did go to Vegas to be honest with you because
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: How common is it?
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: Is that when divisional opponents higher from within successful rival operations?
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the raiders just did it last year with their freaking front office.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's littered with broncos, including Brian Stark, guys, who's a big part of Super Bowl 50.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, let him go, as what I say, David,
- 25:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, if you want to play bone nicks and Sean Peyton twice a year, more power too, I think Cleveland would really speak to VJ considering the defensive talent they have in place and maybe should or Sanders is the answer there.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_03]: Also the giants, they have some pieces on defense, they have some pieces on offense as we saw in Denver this year.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_03]: Those are much better attractive openings for VJ to me than Vegas, but we'll see what happens.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: William, so it was William James Baker from across the pond, London, Colin, dude, I should have known.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, buddy.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll try to remember that.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's where he says Facebook won't let us in stars anymore.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's weird.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, man, Facebook, and it's ever changing BS.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get me started.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Bam, he says, well, first of all, he's got two here.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: I want to read this comment, though.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_02]: He says, I think we'll play the Steelers.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: than the Jaguars, then the Eagles in the Super Bowl, Go Broncos.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: Then he says that when the Seahawks won Super Bowl 48, they had a QB in their second year and a really good defense Broncos, currently have QB in his second year, a really good defense as well.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_02]: There's that parallel.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: There's the fact that, you know, Ross had won 24 games, Zach in his first two years, and that was what culminated his second year was Super Bowl 48, but I also think of Ben Rothlissberger, 2005, and that upstart Pittsburgh team that got Bill Cower, his one and only ring, that defense was legit too, and they just, it's like Sean Payton talks about the O5 Broncos or a perfect example of this.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know, hey, I'm just glad we're not playing in the wildcard rounds.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: This is one less opportunity for our team to kind of just have a, we woke up on the wrong side of the bed type thing and we just turned in a stinker.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: That's what happened to the O5 Broncos hosting the AFC championship game, Jake Plummer.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: They had gone through the defending world champion.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was back to back world champion.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: No, it was the team that handed Tom Brady his first ever playoff loss was that O5 Broncos team.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: And Steelers came in, they weren't phenomenal in that AFC Championship Games Act, but the defense was really good.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: And Ben, as a young guy, second year guy, just made just enough plays to cruise by and upset him.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I've been guilty of this as well of trying to prophesize a Super Bowl 48 rematch between the Broncos and the Seahawks.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_03]: It would be an entertaining game, and I don't think the Broncos would get blown out like an SP48, but the Seahawks are one team in the NFL that I think would match up fairly well against the Broncos.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_03]: Their defense is playing extra
- 28:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's really a lead ball under Mike McDonald's.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_03]: Sam Darnall's having a career renaissance.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_03]: They have two running backs.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_03]: I can hurt the debt of Broncos.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_03]: They have Jackson Smith and the Jigboh who can really take the top off the Broncos.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if we have our drummers here, Sam, if the Broncos reached the big game, if I want Seattle to be their opponent, but the storylines would definitely be there.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: I would prefer to see the Eagles again, like you said in your previous comment, this one.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'd rather see the Eagles in the Super Bowl than the Seahawks.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, this is us counting our chickens way before they've hatched, but and it's not like any team gets to choose.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: But Zach, I would definitely prefer of all the NFC teams in the tournament.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: Seattle's the team that I would want the Broncos to face the least in the Super Bowl for all the reasons you just mentioned.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, from a personal standpoint, the Niners and Broncos would be just right with storylines.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about that.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think on last week's pod.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, we'll see how it shakes out.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: The Eagles and the Broncos would be a rematch of the regular season game that the Broncos came back in one, two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: Scott, Scott Queries here in the private chat, can Seattle play games in a row against elite teams without imploding.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, man, something about that offense.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: I just, the defense.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, keep you up at night, finished Zach in terms of total yards as the number one defense in the NFL.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: They're legit, but that offense, man.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: Something about it.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: Crispy, jumping back in William James saying, we go to the Super Bowl.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: You guys got a shave and Scott's got a girl beard.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: You want to see this cat totally shaved?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what the last time I got to have any facial hair.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was like,
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: Shoot, I don't know, what over 10 years, over 10 years.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: Once the last time you were straight cleansed, maybe burns, but nothing like here down.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_03]: College.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: So that's 13 years ago now.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Scott, do you want to take this, if the Broncos go to the Super Bowl or win the Super Bowl?
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's better if it's, if they win, I'll shade.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: And in fact, right now, I'll I'll I'll make this promise, I won't trim nor will I shave between now and when the until the Broncos get either knocked out of the playoffs or to the Super Bowl and then if they win the Super Bowl, I'll go clean.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_02]: My football on my neck will be way more obvious.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know this.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I feel you on the
- 31:12[SPEAKER_03]: guy problems.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'm with you on that though.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to do no shave January and until February, hopefully the Broncos make a celebrating style.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: Scott says like a more hair on my I need than I can grow on my face.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see Brad.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: Brad Murdoch jumping in on the top row.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: legit.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, brother.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: So, so awesome.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: He says, what's up, everyone?
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: Which team do you hope the Broncos face in the divisional round?
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: Also quite a shocker.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: Peter, one and done in Vegas.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's just two old man.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's two old.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_02]: We got a chance to talk to him at the Combine Zach, and he looks a lot younger on TV than he does in person.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_02]: In person, you can see his age on him a little bit better.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why that is.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: You'd think maybe it'd be the opposite because the TV almost seems to magnify, but he just, he's out of touch.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: He's made a moron decision on the quarterback, and then Raiders were just that bad, man.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: Raiders suck, bro.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: So he's out of there,
- 32:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know, who was it that was mentioning?
- 32:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was wrong, Zach.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'll let you grab Brad here.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I think Ronk was mentioning that the the the raiders are looking at Brian Flores or no, Sue, Sue Gibson.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: Raiders are looking at Brian Flores per Brady.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying, bring him in, dude, bring, bring Flores in.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: Where has he succeeded as a head coach?
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: We remember what he did in Miami.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: Does any still have an active lawsuit against the Broncos and a couple of other teams?
- 32:52[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that was ever settled, Chad.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, let Brian Flora has come to Vegas Raiders because they've had five head coaches since 2020.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: They're all going to be one and done.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_03]: The problem with Pete Carroll, Brad, is he tries to replicate the 2012, 2013, 2014 Seattle Seahawks.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_03]: Literally the same coordinators the same quarterback the same players like Tyler Lockett He's out of touch.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_03]: He needs to retire.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not worried about the Raiders.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_03]: They have the number one overall pick.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_03]: The brockless have the number one seed.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: We are not the same Honestly, Brady messed up He became a part owner in the Raiders last fall.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: So fall of 24.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: What he should have done
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: was pushed hard for Mike Brable last year for the Raiders.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's what he should have done.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: Now, in a vacuum, Brable's almost always going to choose to go to the Patriots instead of the Raiders if he's got two offers or options on the table, but who knows, man, a former teammate of his and Tom Brady no less maybe might be able to twist his arm if the money's the same, you never know.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_02]: But they missed an opportunity, and so bringing, bringing in, but if I were an owner, I would have some, I would think that owners, I should say, I would think that owners would be a little bit skeptical, bringing in a guy who has shown no compunction with suing the league, that kind of stuff, like we're going to give you more ammunition, more possible things, I don't know, but did that thing never get settled?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Flores is one of those guys like we were talking about a better coordinator than a head coach like he's he's tries to be this hard ass when he's never one anything and that doesn't really go over with grown men too well.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see what happens there, but they have some pieces on offense, Chad, but Bowers and Genzi, if they just get the right coach in the right quarterback, they can make some noise, but they are so far away from being competitive that we don't have to even worry about them.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Sonny says, I want to play Carolina in the Super Bowl.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: Wouldn't that be a great 10 year anniversary in the same stadium versus the same team?
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that would be awesome.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: It would definitely be cool.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, blow up, it's probably not going to happen though as you say yourself there.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're, they're, they're going to get bounced.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: Lickety split.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, sandband plumber also sucked in that O5AFC Championship game, which actually took place in O6, but the O5 Broncos, ASC title game.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_02]: that was the year he became no mistake Jake remember and he was like just turning it on and he picked the worst possible moment and it so infuriated Mike Shanahan that he drafted Jake color the next you know three months later whatever it was but that's one of those missing ring teams that I'll always wonder about is the O5 Broncos because they would have played the
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: version, Seattle Seahawks, and they would have romped, they would have romped.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: The NFC was so weak back then, which is ironic because for so many years, it was the NFC that dominated in the super bowls, but all right, let me jump in and find some
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, look, string guys, Scott, Biotch Slap and Chad in the live pod.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, no, that's a producer bomb, bro.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's a producer bomb.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: Trying to find some members.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: Here we go, string guy.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: How do you win 14 games and be a fraud?
- 36:19[SPEAKER_02]: It just shows a stupidity of anyone who would say that.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: Who's out there saying Zack in the national press that you've seen that they're the most fraudulent one seed?
- 36:27[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I could pull up examples with enough time, but I have bookmarks of people saying can't wait to bet against the Broncos and the playoffs.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_03]: I've had bookmarks of ESPN analysts saying they should bench.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_03]: This was during the regular season to be fair, but they should bench bone next for Jared Settem if they want to remain competitive.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: This will continue on.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_03]: It's a lot of from the opposing fan bases and people on Twitter saying the Broncos are fraudulent, but there are sex of media, particularly at ESPN I've noticed that just don't give the
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: their flowers, they're just due for winning as many games as they did.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_02]: Let him hate maybe hit all that kind of stuff.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you guys it serves it serves the Broncos.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: So we got David Wilder.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of hope we get a rematch with Jacksonville.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with that.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: That would be fun.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: That'd be tasty and they would have to come to Denver.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, hold on, hold on, hold on, uh, once I can tell.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not great run-ins with the jags over the years, one of which was in the 96 playoffs.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_02]: Talk about missing rings, um, but yeah, Zach, especially with how Liam Cohen talked a little smack.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: Now, granted, the media misconstrued Sean Payton's comment about a small market, like,
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: kind of made it seem like he was saying something that he wasn't.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I think Liam Cohen is smart enough to know the difference and understand what Peyton was trying to compliment him.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_02]: Peyton was saying they're a small market team not getting enough credit because they're small market.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: They're doing great things and they're not getting the credit because they're small market and then Liam Cohen uses it.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: First thing he does at the podium after that game as an opportunities act to twist the knife
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: trying to dunk on Peyton is pretty good for a small market team, huh?
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: Glad we could come in here and get the wind at mile high.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_02]: You know Sean Peyton's just like, give me the jacks, do it, relish in the opportunity to settle that score.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: I mentioned opposing fan bases calling the Broncos fraudulent.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know where, what a whole they crawled out from Shad, but Jacksonville Jaguar's fans have been in my mentions, crowing like that game was they're super bowl when they beat the Broncos.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_03]: I absolutely am with you David.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_03]: I want the rematch because I think it would work in the Broncos favor this time around.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_02]: So listen here guys, the New England Patriots have played one team this season with a winning record.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: played, not beat, they did get one win against the Buffalo Bills, but, and so people want to crown them, Zach, they want to say, that should be the one seed, two, he says, they lost to the CRC, so two, two, wait, wait, so they played to one one, right, played two teams with a winning record, who finished with the winning record, one of them.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: and people want to crown them as like that's who should have been the one see they're the more deserving team.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_02]: Dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-dada-
- 39:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's also the Patriots.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_03]: They desperately want to make the NFL does the Patriots relevant.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_03]: Again, it's obvious that Drake May is the golden boy.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see if he wins MVP.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_03]: But the things that the Patriots are being praised for are the same things the Broncos are being criticized for.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_03]: And that's always going to be the double standard against Denver.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you look at that.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, thank you, David.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: Says Nick Wright, one of the main culprits.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's eating his heart out.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: And all his predictions look like.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: have been rendered completely freezing cold takes.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_02]: But Zach, if you look at that 2024 quarter of that class that had six guys go in the first round.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Williams needed the right coach.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: Had himself a really good year, they're going to the playoffs.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: They won the NFC North, didn't they?
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: The bears?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: Then you look, that was number one.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_02]: Number two overall, Jane Daniels, you know, he had the phenomenal, or was he three?
- 40:46[SPEAKER_03]: It was, Jane was two, I think.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: He was two, May was three.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so Daniels has the phenomenal out of the gates thing, but my big fear about him came true already year two.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that would just be something that would kind of like maybe be a little ways down the road but the injury bug, the relative smallness and frownness of his frame, all that.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: Still great rookie year bonus comparable numbers made the playoffs as well But NFC title game is how far the commanders push.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: So he gets all the love.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: He gets all the accolades Two years later those Zach you've got how many guys from that 2020 for class now in the playoffs Williams bow may Who's missing so so Daniel's Panics and?
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: McCarthy are missing from the playoffs
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: One of those things is not like the others.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: The guy who is in the playoffs both years, his name is Bonyx.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the guy who's won 24 games the most of any quarterback to their first two years, his, that guy's name is Bonyx.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the only quarterback ever to lay some up in the NFL to win 20 plus games past for 7, 500 yards plus and 50 plus touchdowns that guy.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the Broncos sucks.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: Right exactly that's the that's the mindset it's if you build up one quarterback you have to tear down the other quarterback I hate that way of thinking we could say that bone next Caleb Williams And Drake may are all playing excellent football right now because they are they all leather teams of the playoffs Drake may is an MVP discussions I didn't see the bears turn around.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'll give Ben Johnson and Caleb credit for that and of course like you mentioned with bone next chatty tied Russell Wilson
- 42:30[SPEAKER_03]: for the most wins in the first two years, to first regular seasons at 24, the other quarterback is doing that, but they're all playing well.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_03]: And unfortunately, all of those three, only one is getting criticism.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_03]: And that's phonics.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: interestingly.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_02]: Now look, Bo Nix, if you guys remember on the heels of the overdog game, he all of a sudden becomes in the conversation for MVP.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I honestly think he would he had a really good chance because the Broncos ended up winning the one seed and there's a really good likelihood they're going to go deep into the playoffs because of that.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: Look at the numbers of number one for number one season, especially Broncos number one season.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't finish as strongly
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: as some of his competition in the running for MVP's act like staff or like me.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that run in with the Jags the very next week, Broncos first loss in 11, 12 weeks, three months, basically, and then, of course, Zach kind of a little bit of a stinker against the chiefs a little bit of a stinker against the chargers and he is now an afterthought relative to MVP, I agree with Sam here, though, I do think staff are deserves it.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think staff are just shown now he didn't even win his division, but he's playing killer ball dude.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, hopefully the NFL doesn't bungle it because Sam, they've shown to do that in the past last year.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: Lamar Jackson should have won it.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: It was given a Josh Allen.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_03]: I think as a make-up MVP, but I'm right there with you.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think Stafford should get it.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see what happens.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just verifying something real quick here on old Matthew Stafford, but Google wants to be slow.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: So never mind, I'm not going to verify that right now, but that would be my number one.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_02]: It wouldn't surprise me though if it goes to May.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: He seems to be more the media darling here.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_02]: Let's grab our friend.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Hail, I'm going to read you from offscreen pal.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, Chad Zach, not trying to jump ahead to the Super Bowl because we need to take one game at a time, but because we are set up to do so well in the playoffs, it's made me reminisce about the last time we won the Super Bowl.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just curious if you guys remember how you celebrated Super Bowl 50 and how you would celebrate if we won Super Bowl 60.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: I remember when we won Super Bowl 50, my family and I took a victory lap outside,
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: uh what probably crazy right it cuts off there but uh at least it shows there.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: So Zack before we get the lady D how will you celebrate if the Broncos wins Super Bowl 60?
- 44:59[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll immediately get on the gut reaction to have the best gut reaction of all time.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: And then after that, I'll be heading to my sink to be shaving the facial hair off that we're probably going to be growing.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_03]: So after that, then I'd be hooting and hollering and tweeting a storm and just being pinching myself.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't believe it.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_03]: They went from being irrelevant and being a door mat to being super bold champions in a year like this.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_03]: It would take a while just for it to sink in.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's my honest answer.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I went to, I could have gone to the Super Bowl that year for a press with press credential, but I just didn't really feel like going for whatever reason.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_02]: And by the time I was like, maybe I should the window had passed and I'm like, I should have probably put in and then the Broncos make the Super Bowl and so I didn't go what I did do was go to my dad's annual Super Bowl party that he throws which is always fun and I was surrounded by family watching the whole thing shake out and then I immediately left him and went home so I could work because the Broncos won the Super Bowl so there's a lot of stuff to cover, you know.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: So it'll probably be like Zach just said after shaving my face.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be straight to the keyboard and Doing streams and rocking out content.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's how I will celebrate now.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: We'll do so with nothing But glee lady D checkin in great to see everybody knows one of the most legendary super chat superstars here at MHH She says evening all I agree that BJ is not head coach material
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: Right, is an idiot.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully our guys get healthy and we continue to win and win the Super Bowl so happy We are the one seed personally love bone X and he's still growing hashtag image age for life Yeah, man, he's still growing Zach then that should scare the shizn it out of the NFL Because he's the first quarterback to do all those things I just mentioned a few moments ago and he's still pretty raw in all honesty
- 47:00[SPEAKER_03]: I love the transition there, Deanna.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much for that for making me smile.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_03]: I agree that VJ is not head coach material.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_03]: Nick Wright is an absolute idiot.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_03]: You're right on both accounts.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_03]: And we always, as always, appreciate your generosity.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: Hope you're doing amazing this Monday.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you again.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, shout out to David, give him our best.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, absolutely.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're staying warm in that sub-zero, whether you guys have up there.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: We also have David Wilder checking in again, man.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: David's been going off tonight, love it, bro.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not about personal accolades with his team, but it will be extra motivation.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: Excellent point, bro.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: And as true as that may be Zack, the irony in what he says is that the Broncos co-led the NFL in the number of probals, the most probal selection.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: So Broncos had six, trying to remember the other two teams.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: But either way, three of those guys was at three.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_02]: I wanna say, we're first time probal.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: There's Garrett Bowles, Quinn Miners.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_02]: Who am I missing?
- 48:02[SPEAKER_02]: Who's the other first timer?
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Benito, Pastor Tan, Garipoles, Quinn Miners, so two of those guys, two of those, because Cortland Sutton had been before.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: So two of those guys, first timers, but yeah, as that, his point is not lost on me, never the less, or the Broncos, it's about the standings, not the accolades.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I think they have more motivation when they're counted out and not necessarily discussing or thinking about how good they are, but how much they're being crapped on, how much they're being called fraudulent, how much they're being picked to lose, why they were the overdogs to begin with.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully Sean Payton's David can ratchet that up for the divisional round because they thrive off the disrespect.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: They're liking the ideas that I could face shaving thing.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_03]: We're in, this is going to happen.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_02]: Sonny says it should be live.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: The face shaving should be live.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: We can find a figure out a way to make that happen, figure it out.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just hope we have a reason to do all that stuff.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_02]: You fill me.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_02]: All right, where we at 50 minutes consider this guy's kind of the two minute warning any burning topics, questions, supers get him in the chat.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get to them before we dip rocks as waiting till the Broncos get out of the Russell Wilson deal, things will be back to normal.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: the worst of it is now in the rear view.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's basically next year, it's peanuts compared to what it's been.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I think they're projected currently zack as things stand 36 million in cap space, which is more than enough to make some hay infreagency, sign a draft
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: Is it this year or do they get awarded in the next year?
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: 26 and 27.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_02]: Right, right.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_02]: So you'd get an extra third round or this year next year.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, dude.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, beware of the Broncos, guys.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_02]: They are just getting started.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: They are just getting started.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_03]: That was my thought.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_03]: It was like if they're not back to normal yet and they're 14 and 3, what does normal gonna look like?
- 50:13[SPEAKER_03]: How much better could they actually get?
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: That's why we both and everyone should give George and Sean Payton a ton of credit for navigating $85 million plus and dead money draft to get quarterback and going back to the playoffs.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: Well said, Brad, keep the doubters come and he says the underdog is where we want to be like Keith Bishop said way back in the drive right the he's the guy except he had a few other choice words, at least one additional choice word we got those M efforts right where we want them.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: When the Broncos are starting on their own two yard line and the muddy hole that was that stadium there and Cleveland, but yeah brother good stuff.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate your Brad.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, Sam's like, come on guys, Justin feels is the real MVP.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_02]: Many that's that's funny, bro.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, to a, uh, funny, funny, funny, okay.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: Peter, bone X has what 11 come back wins.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: May had a chance for a come from behind when versus Buffalo at home.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: And what happened, he wrapped down his leg.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_03]: Crap, I guess.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: Crap down his leg.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, it's, we haven't really seen the point we're trying to make here guys is have you seen Drake may truly forced into the teeth of real adversity like bone X man, the crucible, the refiner's fire he's been through it dude.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's taken the pressure and it's helped forge him into the tool that he's become that sharp weapon for Sean Peyton has me and he might not need it.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: You know, who knows he might get out there and just drop bombs that and kick ass.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so because playoffs are a different animal, sudden death, the incentives, all that stuff.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be interesting to see how may looks and comports himself in the tournament.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this is exactly what I was talking about a few minutes ago.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand how we can't just talk about both quarterbacks and a positive light while we have to build bow up and tear Drake may down or build Drake may up and tear bone next down.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_03]: Both of them are playing tremendous football.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: Both have their problems.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_03]: Both are in perfect dot quarterbacks just yet.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_03]: And if they meet in the posties and Drake may versus bone nicks.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just confident that's going to be an entertaining football game in Denver.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_02]: I want to grab this real quick from a junior.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_02]: on Facebook who says, I feel that Peyton is not giving his full offensive playbook.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he, you guys think Zack, please re-explain this the way you did last night where it was the, that's what they said in the preseason.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_02]: Then it was the end.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so junior we covered this extensively.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'll give you my opinion on this.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_03]: We've heard this like child is talking about from the preseason.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_03]: Oh Sean Peyton saving it for the regular season and then the week two week three losses roll around.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he's saving it for midseason and then midseason rolls around.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_03]: He's saving it for the end of the season and now he's saving it for the postseason.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think for the most part, Sean Peyton is who Sean Peyton is and his playbook is what the playbook is.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_03]: Now, he held part of that back yesterday.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_03]: He played purposely vanilla, coach not to lose.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_03]: He just wanted to get out of there with a W and not put anything on film.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_03]: But if you think he has these super secret statue of Liberty and Exation of Puerto Rico plays like he's hiding, I don't think so.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to use more of the playbook, but any sort of secret weapon, I think we've seen already.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, yeah.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_02]: So well said, I can't say it any better than my part here.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Rodney says I've seen the 26 Broncos schedule and the home games look like a gauntlet tough opponent.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_02]: So that was officially finalized.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was yesterday's act.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, we probably need to write this up.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't covered it yet.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_02]: Um, at MHH on the site, but here's here's what you got.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_02]: So let me see if they make this easy.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_02]: So you got.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: In addition to, I'm going to quote here, Eric Delala of the team website, in addition to home and away matchups with their three division opponents, a Broncos will play each team in the AFC East and NFC West.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_02]: They'll also play the first place finisher in the AFC South, AFC North, and NFC South in 2026.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_02]: Among the AFC East teams, Broncos will host the Buffalo Bills and Dolphins and visit Drake May Patriots in the Jets.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: Denver will also host NFC West Rams and Seahawks while traveling to face the cards and Niners.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_02]: And then the AFC South winning Jaguars will return to Mile High for a rematch.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_02]: and Denver will travel to face the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_02]: So there you have it.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_02]: Denver, oh, one last thing.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_02]: NFL scheduling formula includes six matchups against the course divisional opponents, four games against a rotating AFC division, four games against a rotating AFC division.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_02]: three games against teams that finish in the same place as they're in their respective divisions and Broncos were first place so you're getting a lot of first place action.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos will host eight games played nine road games next year's act because they got to play nine home games this year and eight road games so there you have.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_03]: Is there some like NFL rule I don't know about that states the Broncos and the jets have to play every single season like them not being in the same division shed I'm happy though about one thing that you mentioned the Broncos will be hosting Seattle it seems like every time they go to Seattle it's a house of ours whether with Russell Wilson or bonix and last thing I'll say about this what looks like adopting schedule now could look like a cupcake schedule in twenty twenty six rarely do team success transfer over except in the Broncos case.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll see what happens.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: Patrick McCrack and on Facebook says, if Denver wins the Super Bowl, I win five K, and then I'll donate a hundred dollar Super, let's go, yeah, let's go, indeed.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, that'd be awesome for you winning five K. Amazing, fingers crossed, man.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys, we got a few messages for you.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_02]: Then we're, well, let's grab this from David before we get to the messages.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you again, Big Dog, happy new year to you.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_02]: Says the way Peyton mixes plays will be important.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: in the postseason.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_02]: Don't doubt, dude.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_02]: Just the overall operation and
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: philosophy.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you saw against the chargers and ultra conservative approach, but we've seen other instances in this season where he was calling a killer game.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that chief's game, where we played my homes in week 11, that was great game plan, great play calling, think of the Packers game.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_02]: And even some of that giant stuff like they were calling good plays.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos just weren't
- 57:11[SPEAKER_02]: executing.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like sometimes there's that gap between the play calling and the game plan and the execution, which falls on the coaches, but nevertheless, Sean Payton's play calling and his experiences that I can savvy in that department will be key as he says this playoffs.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_03]: The second half of the Eagles game, the Cowboys game, the Bengals game, for the most part, the Broncos offense is Sean Payton.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_03]: They've shown more good than bad, but they just can't be so manic and go between the two.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_03]: They just have to focus on the good and you're right, the way he mixes plays and substitutions and personal groupings will be very important.
