- 0:01Hey, everyone, and welcome back to EyeOpener Society.
- 0:06I want to thank everybody for joining us here again. This is a big episode.
- 0:10This is something that I kind of thought of, and Hannah and I,
- 0:14we always have multiple ideas, and we put pen to paper a lot of times,
- 0:19and we make these things happen just for you, the listeners.
- 0:22And I just want to give a big shout out to all of the listeners because we've
- 0:26been getting a really big jump on YouTube.
- 0:29It's actually really like what we've gotten in one year on our regular podcast
- 0:34we achieved in less than a month on YouTube.
- 0:39It's absolutely amazing. Yeah. So everybody that's tuning in and listening to
- 0:44Hannah and I, we really appreciate it.
- 0:46It means so, so much to us. So thank you very much for that.
- 0:50And as long as we're talking about podcasts, I just wanted to give a quick shout
- 0:56out because, again, we are on Podbean, iOpenerSociety.Podbean.com.
- 1:04And I was on one of their Facebook comments, I think, and there was another
- 1:09podcast that I just turned on because it seemed pretty interesting to me.
- 1:14It's called it's not for the normies and i
- 1:18don't know if you heard this it's really a great great show
- 1:21the guy's autistic yeah he's autistic he has
- 1:24a 10 year old autistic son that came on and did a podcast episode with him i'm
- 1:29telling you this kid blew us away yeah and they talk about all the interesting
- 1:32things this is just a synopsis it says follow along and listen in to the weird
- 1:37and wonderful discussions and conversations with different interesting people
- 1:40that are definitely not for the normies.
- 1:43So he talks a lot about conspiracy theories and mental health and just random things.
- 1:49But when his son, 10 year old kid went in there talking about flat earth conspiracies
- 1:53and all this, and this kid knows dates and times, it is absolutely amazing.
- 1:58So if you're on Podbean or if you're on all the platforms look for,
- 2:02it's not for the normies.
- 2:04So coming back to us we are your
- 2:07hosts now you have hannah you have
- 2:10me gary you also have our other third host britney
- 2:13joining us too as well and also in
- 2:17the studio with us is our favorite ann lund um you know ann lund for uh our
- 2:23show haunted and waiting and lund actually runs the blog haunted and waiting
- 2:28and if you look up ann lund on facebook as well follow along with her She's just fantastic.
- 2:35She's an inspiring author. Can't wait for that book to come out.
- 2:39But she grew up in a haunted house, and I had the pleasure of being in there.
- 2:44And we spoke about that on our last podcast episode, and it's always great to
- 2:48have Anne on our show. Anne, how are you doing? I'm doing great.
- 2:52I'm doing very good. Thank you. And thank you for having me on again.
- 2:56Yes, absolutely. It's always exciting. And I think you're going to fit in perfectly with this.
- 3:02So we wanted to get back to kind of like, I'm not going to get into the paranormal
- 3:06ghost haunting, but I wanted to talk about ghosts and the concept with this.
- 3:14We turn on the TV and a lot of people love these ghost hunter shows or some
- 3:18of these ghost shows, but there's always a fear factor, You know,
- 3:22and Hollywood loves doing this.
- 3:23They destroy the religion such as paganism and Wiccan and witchcraft and they
- 3:28make it out for something it's not.
- 3:31I think these shows are designed to make you fear ghosts.
- 3:35Now, in the metaphysical community, there's a lot of people with some gifts
- 3:39where they're able to contact the unliving.
- 3:44They're able to communicate with spirit.
- 3:47And that not necessarily is any kind of a bad thing. And they use this to help
- 3:52people, to help guide people.
- 3:55But if you're like you and I, and we don't have that gift, or maybe we just
- 3:59don't know how to use it, we may be startled because we might run into some
- 4:06sort of paranormal activity,
- 4:07or we might hear something from beyond, you never know.
- 4:10And I think we all have some sort of story, you know, that we can share.
- 4:14But is this something to be feared?
- 4:18And that's the first thing I wanted to to go around the table with.
- 4:20And I wanted to start real quick with, Anne, since you did grow up in that haunted
- 4:25home, I mean, was it terrifying?
- 4:29And did you get used to it? Or is it something that's always terrifying to you?
- 4:34So I think initially I was young, you know, I was around nine,
- 4:39between nine and 11 when the hauntings were pretty vivid.
- 4:43Yeah, I would say it was scary. But I think as I've gotten older,
- 4:48you know, now I'm in my 50s, I don't find hauntings scary at all.
- 4:53And I think a lot of that has to do with when you've had experience.
- 4:58So I think the first couple of experiences you may have, yes,
- 5:01I can understand that they would be terrifying because it's something you don't understand.
- 5:05But I wouldn't tell anybody to be afraid of a haunting.
- 5:09I don't think there's really anything that they can do to you.
- 5:12I think it's, if anything, they're trying, if it's an intelligent spirit,
- 5:16it's trying to communicate with you in some way.
- 5:21So yeah i i tend to agree with
- 5:24that uh and like how do you
- 5:27like would you be like completely fearful if
- 5:31you had like some sort of an encounter i don't
- 5:34think so really i mean i just
- 5:37think it would depend on what type of
- 5:40ghost is coming to me i because like i in my head like
- 5:43there's different types of ghosts you know what i mean um so
- 5:46i guess it would all just depend you know
- 5:50on what type of experience it was like if it was just like angry you know i
- 5:56feel like i would probably be a little bit freaked out but if it was just like
- 6:00someone who was like like like suffering or you know someone like that i know
- 6:07um then i think it would be emotional,
- 6:10emotional but yeah yeah we're gonna
- 6:12get back to that when you just mentioned emotional and
- 6:15it's gonna come in a little bit later but yeah you definitely hit it
- 6:18in there yeah for me absolutely now uh
- 6:22britney i spoken to you um early even before the show and you said you would
- 6:28be completely frightened by the experience absolutely 100 i would probably be
- 6:35in tears or Or it would just,
- 6:39I don't want to say ruin my day,
- 6:41but it would probably take me a while to recover if I had something.
- 6:44Like anytime I see that on TV or I hear about it, it's like a topic that I avoid.
- 6:51Right. And is there a reason behind that though, Brittany?
- 6:54Like, is it just because you never really experienced it or you just feel like
- 6:58that's something that would frighten you? Where does it come from?
- 7:04I don't know if it's so much like an experience that I had because there were
- 7:09times when my mom said I was a little my grandfather I would say that he came
- 7:15and talked to me like while I was in my crib or like sleeping or whatever but I,
- 7:22I've never had anything. I guess it's just always been a fear,
- 7:26like with how Hollywood makes it and adds that fear factor in.
- 7:31It's just something that I can't anything that's scary.
- 7:34I completely withdraw from. I'm like, I want nothing to do with it.
- 7:38I don't want to think about it.
- 7:40Yeah, I feel that. I don't do scary movies either. I'm like, no, no, I will not sleep.
- 7:45I will throw up. I don't like it. So I feel you on that. But I feel like,
- 7:50I don't know, like I just like, I guess, open my mind and I'm like,
- 7:53you know what, it would just honestly depend.
- 7:55Like if it was something like scary, you know, like how Hollywood makes it out
- 7:58to be, I'd be like shitting my pants.
- 8:00But like if it was something like, like I said, emotional, we'll touch base
- 8:03later on it. But I think I'd be like more open and like calm.
- 8:07You know, initial, I'd be like, you know, like freak out. But like then I'd
- 8:11be like, all right, this is what this is. Okay.
- 8:13And I think too, when I had a couple of experiences myself, but I did have an
- 8:18experience and it was absolutely the most terrifying thing in my life.
- 8:24And I think this goes back to Hannah, which you had said too.
- 8:26I guess it depends on what type of experience it is.
- 8:30Whatever it was that I seen that day in that car along the Connecticut border
- 8:35of New York, it was absolutely terrifying. Terrifying.
- 8:40And again, I just think it was the type of spirit or whatever it was that we
- 8:45had seen that just was out of place.
- 8:48And it probably had nothing to do with me or my friend.
- 8:52It was just something that was there and it absolutely terrorized us. Yeah.
- 8:56So, yeah, I think it does boil down to the type of haunting,
- 9:01the type of spirit, what they're doing, because here's the thing.
- 9:05And I'll I'll refer to you there.
- 9:07And sometimes I think ghosts, especially if they're intelligent hauntings or
- 9:15some of the things you experience with their moving objects and all that,
- 9:19that can be frightening.
- 9:20But is that more because I think they're trying to get your attention for some reason?
- 9:27Yeah. And I'm glad you kind of brought that up because there's different types of hauntings or ghosts.
- 9:34An intelligent, it doesn't mean that they're necessarily, like there's no such
- 9:39thing as a stupid ghost, but an intelligent haunting basically means it's a
- 9:42spirit or an unlived person who is trying to come through and give you a message of some sort.
- 9:50And so I just I want to just ask Brittany have you ever gone to
- 9:52like a a medium or you know
- 9:55sometimes they have like those medium parties I've been
- 9:59to a couple and and somebody comes through and they
- 10:02have some information that there's no way the the
- 10:05medium could have possibly known and they knew about this person that kind of
- 10:08convinces you has that ever happened to you um so I've never been to a medium
- 10:12per se like never it's always something I've been really interested in um so
- 10:17So I'm just going to kind of preface this and say that I do believe in spirits.
- 10:24I feel like that I had, most recently my grandma passed away and she's in different
- 10:32ways visited me, but it's a whole different experience.
- 10:36I think when I think of a ghost, I tie it to like, I guess a traumatic incident,
- 10:45whether that person's like.
- 10:48Stuck in that house or stuck in that place because something bad happened um but spirit wise.
- 10:58My son's family on his dad's side uh his it would be his great aunt um she has
- 11:06spirits come through to her all the time and um she will relay that to us and
- 11:14it's things that That she would never know. Okay.
- 11:17Yeah. So it sounds to me like you're more, you seem to be more frightened of
- 11:22like a residual haunting kind of a thing.
- 11:24Like where you'll, like you'll see these things on TV, like somebody was murdered
- 11:28in a house and they're just kind of still locked in that house.
- 11:31And they're coming through with visions to the people that live there and terrifying
- 11:34them. That's more of the thing that scares you.
- 11:39Correct. Okay. Okay. I can understand that. And again, I think the way to look
- 11:45at that is those kinds of quote unquote hauntings, they're not intelligent.
- 11:50So they can't do anything to you because they're not trying to communicate with you.
- 11:55That's just an energy that's in that house or that area, if that makes any sense.
- 12:00And I know it could set you off and scare you because it's not something you would expect.
- 12:05But I can almost assure you that that's of no danger to you.
- 12:10For what it's worth. Yeah. Thankfully, I don't remember having or ever seen
- 12:18any ghosts, but I definitely think I might wet my pants a little bit if I ever
- 12:23did have one of those encounters.
- 12:25Because that is, to me, it's just something I associate here.
- 12:31And it would be something really hard to, I guess, relearn or be kind of open-minded to.
- 12:39Okay. Okay, I can respect that. I think also,
- 12:42I think you have to be willing, or part of you has to be, unless you're naturally
- 12:49gifted in that way, part of you has to be willing to communicate with a ghost
- 12:54for you to actually see one.
- 12:55So I think in your situation, being that you really want nothing to do with
- 12:59this, that probably nothing would come through to you.
- 13:04Though it's interesting that your mom said that when you were a child,
- 13:08you had these conversations with, I guess it was your grandfather.
- 13:17Okay, you're muted. I'm sorry. Sorry. Yeah, that would be my grandfather.
- 13:21Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so you might have a gift there that maybe you've blocked.
- 13:26I'm just saying because not everybody has that.
- 13:34Yeah, I wouldn't even know if I did have a gift where to start to unblock that fear.
- 13:46And it's interesting to say that because I feel like maybe I don't have the
- 13:51gift, But maybe my son does have that gift just based off of some of the things he has said to me.
- 13:57Because unfortunately, even though my son's younger, he's suffered a good bit
- 14:02of loss since he's been earthside.
- 14:07Oh, okay. Has he seen anything?
- 14:14Yeah, just actually, and I started to talk to Gary about this.
- 14:18He was on the bus and his gammy, which is his grandma, she had passed away when
- 14:25he was three, almost four.
- 14:27And that's, you know, he knows of pictures and stuff, but it's not something that we...
- 14:36It's been almost six years, so it's not something we really talked about.
- 14:40But the one, he said the one day he was on the bus, he just felt somebody's hand on him.
- 14:47And he said it was Gammy and that she was there with him.
- 14:52So that was very, I guess, emotional for me.
- 14:57It brought tears to my eyes because it's not something we bring up.
- 15:02And so and I didn't pry too much because I didn't want to like overwhelm him
- 15:08because I'm sure that was overwhelming for him to begin with.
- 15:12Yes. Yes, I would agree. I mean, I think with how you said you wouldn't know
- 15:19where to start to, you know, relinquish that fear.
- 15:23Fear I definitely think like how Ann said
- 15:27like maybe even seeing a medium and seeing like you know you obviously have
- 15:32to be open-minded when you go there but I think that would be a good step for
- 15:35you if that's something that you would be even you know interested in to remove
- 15:40that fear from you and or even just at least be more open-minded towards it
- 15:44I think that would be a good first step.
- 15:46Um, I've seen one, um, and it was definitely very, very emotional for me.
- 15:57Um, but it had allowed me to experience or have experiences that I don't think
- 16:04I would have had if I didn't see this, like a medium.
- 16:09There's, uh, I don't know if you remember I remember Teresa Caputa,
- 16:13she was on like TLC and big hair.
- 16:16Yeah. She really sparked my interest in mediums and potentially seeing one and
- 16:22getting, seeing if there was anybody who connected with me that has since passed over.
- 16:30I've seen like the person that I saw was like a, I don't know if like they come
- 16:35kind of hand in hand, but like a psychic and a medium or something like that,
- 16:38where like they could touch, like they could speak.
- 16:41And like two people um like they um she like spoke to my best friend who passed
- 16:48away and then she also was like able to like you know i guess like give me somewhat
- 16:54like i guess predictions or like see like in the future for me um and some of
- 16:58the stuff that she has like and i never met this lady before.
- 17:00She knew nothing about me. Um,
- 17:04And so and some of the things that she said has happened in different ways.
- 17:09But I like go back and I'm like, holy shit.
- 17:12But so, yeah, it's definitely opened up my mind as far as that goes,
- 17:16because I feel like like you said, it was just kind of like that Hollywood thing
- 17:19where you're like, oh, I don't want to I don't want to have that.
- 17:22I don't want to have that now. I'm just like, OK, it is what it is. Bring it on.
- 17:26Unless you're scary. Back the fuck up. I don't want you.
- 17:30I'm there. Thank you. And this this would take me back.
- 17:33I know we've, we're talking emotions and everybody has a different emotional
- 17:36connection and this goes like, if your child is seeing something,
- 17:41especially as a lost relative,
- 17:43this is where I'm saying, I don't think it should be fear at that point because
- 17:48you're looking at like a grandmother still looking out over a child.
- 17:53Uh, you know, you could still have a connection with lost loved ones.
- 17:58So that's where the fear should stop. I mean, obviously, it's nothing we're
- 18:02used to, and it's probably an uncomfortable feeling at first.
- 18:05But just knowing that these spirits are watching over us and probably still
- 18:10communicating with us, that's where the fear should end.
- 18:14But we're talking now children, and I know all of you have children.
- 18:19And we spoke about this too before.
- 18:22We're talking about children tend to see things more than adults,
- 18:26or at least they're able to communicate more.
- 18:29And we were both in agreeance with the fact that, well, children are closer
- 18:34to the spiritual realm just because their life is new and they're still connected
- 18:38to it. At least that's my feeling.
- 18:41As we get older, we get deprogrammed of this and we start to come into this
- 18:47here crazy real world that we don't really like, but we lose that connection
- 18:51that we have to our previous life.
- 18:57Yeah. And I like that you talked about the programming because I think,
- 19:00you know, even if you're a child that sees a lot of things and then you start
- 19:07talking about it, what's the first thing most people will say?
- 19:10Your friends will say you're crazy.
- 19:12You were dreaming. You've got, you know, an imagination.
- 19:16They tell you all this. Here you are, a little kid. And what are you going to
- 19:19do? You're actually because it doesn't make sense. Right. Nobody else sees it. But you.
- 19:23So what are you going to do? You're going to internalize that.
- 19:25And it kind of saddens me in a way because I wonder sometimes if we all would
- 19:31have had this power or gifts,
- 19:33whatever you want to call it, if it wasn't like you use the word deprogrammed. That's how I see it.
- 19:40She had said that and it makes me think like when I had like my encounter,
- 19:45you know, when my best friend passed away, you know, I was shunned off as,
- 19:50you know, your mind was just showing you something that you wanted to see.
- 19:53Um but i don't think it was that well we
- 19:56could look at shunned and we could also look at ridicule too yeah this
- 19:59society is absolutely crazy when it comes to
- 20:02that we ridicule each other for you know certain beliefs and
- 20:05you know stuff there's some religions that actually believe i
- 20:07mean even christianity uh the father and
- 20:10the son and the holy ghost it's all part of religions
- 20:13and all but we ridicule everybody for our beliefs it's
- 20:17it's ghost yeah i thought it was yeah holy spirit
- 20:20but it's they used to actually say holy ghost and it
- 20:24was explained at least when i was in cat they did away with uh holy ghost because
- 20:28the word goes but spirit is the exact same thing but spirit's like the nicer
- 20:32term and people don't get scared of it but that's it people are scared of certain
- 20:36things and i don't understand why we're scared of words or things like past relatives and all.
- 20:43Where I would think it's a little bit different, like, if you go into another
- 20:46home, like, Anne, you know, grew up in this haunted home, and it was other spirits
- 20:50that were not connected to her family or anything.
- 20:53So it gets a little bit more fearful, but there's still, you know,
- 20:56listen, if you had that gift to speak to them, you know the things you might
- 21:00learn, I think would be absolutely fascinating.
- 21:03You know, these here people could have moved on into the other realm,
- 21:07but they left things that are still open here.
- 21:11Like, you know, things that they never, you know, I guess connected with or,
- 21:15you know, they never solved or whatever.
- 21:17Yeah. And they're just trying, you know, if they're picking up that you see
- 21:22them or you feel them, they'll intensify that.
- 21:26But like, you know, Anne had objects moved and stuff like that.
- 21:31Unless you anger them. and and we i remember when
- 21:34we play with that ouija board i mean we angered them so
- 21:38it's it's a big difference you know talking
- 21:40about this i know i'm gonna like get a dirty ass look but
- 21:43it really makes me think of that ghost whisperer show where like
- 21:47she sees the ghosts and like they have things left unfinished
- 21:50and she helps like you know have
- 21:53them do it i know it's that's complete hollywood but it makes me think
- 21:56you know like that idea was probably like if you look at it at a broader like
- 22:00spectrum like that idea was probably like of the show was brought up by probably
- 22:06someone experiencing something like that maybe you know oh absolutely yeah i
- 22:10mean like i said we're we are still kind of talking hollywood because it's a whole concept.
- 22:16They they kind of make it hollywood yeah you
- 22:19know but the concept is on the right track
- 22:22yeah but yeah she sees the ghost and
- 22:25then they try to help them so they can go to the other side or
- 22:28whatever you know or a be at peace um so yeah
- 22:31there's probably you know someone out there like i would that would be badass like
- 22:34i would love that like yeah oh yeah and we all like oh your mom like my wife
- 22:40is extremely connected and when she went to see angelo the psychic and all and
- 22:46he said um that she does a gaggle of women that follow her and ancestors and i think i think
- 22:52it was five if i'm not mistaken yeah five and i've experienced
- 22:56those five like i
- 22:59i felt a couple of times a presence like when they are communicating with her
- 23:03usually when she's asleep i can actually feel it at times and it's very powerful
- 23:08and they they're like literally pushing me out you know yeah completely and
- 23:12it's focused in on her and they're protecting her so i know I know she has that gift.
- 23:18It's just a matter of understanding it. Yeah.
- 23:22And using it to the point where you're able to communicate in a way that it's not frightening. Yeah.
- 23:29Yeah, it creeps me out because, too, a little bit.
- 23:32Because, like, she'll go to, like, these places, like...
- 23:36What was that place up in Lancaster, Wrightsville or something like that area?
- 23:42They had went on like this night thingy. And she's like, I just kept telling
- 23:47this guy, like, you can't come home with me.
- 23:50Like, and I was like, what? Like, and it was like, it was a spirit.
- 23:53And she was like, he was just kept trying to follow me. And I just kept telling
- 23:56him, like, you can't come home with me. I'm sorry.
- 23:58Like, I'll talk to you here, but that's it. And I was just like,
- 24:00okay, that's a little creepy.
- 24:02I'm like, mom, you need to sage the house. house like and she's
- 24:05like no she didn't follow me so she was saying she actually saw she
- 24:08saw him i don't know if she saw him but
- 24:11she felt him like so vividly that like
- 24:15yeah like and then also that same night
- 24:17she said that there was a little boy and i think she was able
- 24:20to like i don't know if she physically saw him but i don't know if it was just
- 24:23so powerful that she could mentally see him because she like i think she told
- 24:29me like what he looked like and i just don't recall call like what he looked
- 24:32like but she was able to tell me like what he looked like and stuff like that
- 24:36which was like so devastated to me because you know you think about like a little child.
- 24:39She's very very powerful when it comes to that so it's like fascinating but
- 24:44frightening at the same time because i'm like please don't bring no one home
- 24:47and she wasn't scared though right no no she and that's what i find go ahead
- 24:55and i'm sorry i was gonna say that's what i find people People that are truly,
- 24:58truly gifted like that, like your mom, they're not scared.
- 25:04And so that, if anything, Brittany, that should be a little bit calming to you.
- 25:08And the thing that's really sad, there are a lot of quacks, right?
- 25:11There are people that go like, oh, there's a...
- 25:15I see a guy there, he's talking... And they're quacks. I mean, I hate to say it.
- 25:19And I think they're the ones that ruin it for the people that are really connected.
- 25:24I don't think I'm I really don't think I'm connected, but I've had experiences
- 25:27and I know people that are connected.
- 25:29And, you know, the fact that she's not scared is what I'm saying.
- 25:34And people that are really connected tend to not be scared, you know.
- 25:38So I don't think I'm connected either.
- 25:40I just think I've had like I have brought on my own experiences because in like
- 25:46a moment of like weakness,
- 25:49you know, like I just like forced my energy on trying to keep something like
- 25:55keep me going for something.
- 25:57And it brought me experiences. But I think unfortunately, it's not that I'm closed minded.
- 26:02It's just I just don't think I have that full ability to do that for myself.
- 26:08I definitely believe in spirits and I still feel that my grandma is with me
- 26:16she passed away in September of 22 and.
- 26:25On my first birthday, after she had passed, she always called me.
- 26:30Every birthday, it never failed in the morning.
- 26:33If she didn't get a hold of me, she'd leave me a message, and then I'd call
- 26:36her back and we would talk.
- 26:38So that first birthday was really difficult for me.
- 26:41But when I went into work, my co-workers had threw a surprise birthday party for me.
- 26:48And one of my older co-workers who
- 26:51actually reminded me a lot of my grandmother had made
- 26:55me a vase with artificial flowers in it and in the artificial flowers was a
- 27:01cardinal and my grandmother absolutely loved cardinals and they say that cardinals
- 27:08when you see a cardinal it's somebody that's passed away.
- 27:12So that just had come full circle with me. And I was crying and I said, I love you, Grammy.
- 27:20Thanks for just letting me know that you're still here.
- 27:23And then after work, my son was in track and field and I go out to his school.
- 27:30And when I'm pulling out of his school, there's a bus and the buses run 10 and
- 27:37it's the company that my grandma used to drive for.
- 27:39So So it was her bus, what she would drive, and I was pulling out of the school as I pulled in.
- 27:46And to me, that was another sign of her just letting me know that she's still
- 27:51with me. And automatically, I was in tears.
- 27:54It just meant so much because she was such an influential person in my life
- 28:02and helped raise us and always took care of us.
- 28:05So I guess I'm more open to the positive things.
- 28:16I'm thinking of all the people that in my life that have passed,
- 28:20they've all been close friends or family members.
- 28:26So I don't think any of them would haunt me.
- 28:31Visit you. Yeah, visit me. My life isn't better.
- 28:35I just, I guess when I think of ghosts, it's like the Gettysburg,
- 28:40like they have all those ghost tours there.
- 28:43And then like Williamsburg, Virginia.
- 28:46I don't know if any of you guys have ever been there, but I had went one time
- 28:52and it was just so overwhelming for me because of the people have passed.
- 28:57And maybe that's why I associate it with negative, like a negative thought.
- 29:05Hmm. I can say for certain with, you know, if we want to talk about emotion, most of the times...
- 29:15These encounters with ghosts or spirits, whatever you want to name them,
- 29:21there's an emotional connection, especially if it is a lost family member or
- 29:26a lost friend or whatever.
- 29:28It's going to be an emotional experience because it's so connecting and it's
- 29:33something that's still so not understood.
- 29:37So when we have these encounters, yes, they're going to affect us emotionally.
- 29:41And we sometimes we don't know exactly how to handle them because it's just
- 29:47not in the norm for this to happen.
- 29:50So I think if we start to normalize it a little bit where we can actually,
- 29:54you know, say, hey, this is just another way of communicating,
- 29:58because that's really what it is.
- 30:01Like, I don't find myself gifted or I'm not sure if I have that gift myself.
- 30:07However, if I go into a deep enough state of meditation, you're opening yourself up.
- 30:11You become like an antenna and you just start to receive things that are not
- 30:15from here in this 3D earth.
- 30:18You're going to open yourself up more to that higher five, fifth dimension and
- 30:22all. And you might get signs, symbols like Brittany talking about the bus and, you know, the carnals.
- 30:29These are signs that are telling us something.
- 30:32You know, we don't actually always have to have a full on ghost type of communication.
- 30:39Communication, but these signs that are there that are triggering you to say,
- 30:44hey, this is a reminder of that person and that person's still with me and they're
- 30:49still looking out after me because they're giving you these signs.
- 30:52So, yeah, it is emotional.
- 30:55And most of the time, it's kind of like you said, they come at an emotional time.
- 30:59Sometimes when you're at your lowest, your weakest, you'll have these,
- 31:03but it can also happen when you're at your highest and you are in that high state of vibration too.
- 31:09And it's going to draw more positive experiences for you.
- 31:13And then, like I say, it could also be the complete other way around.
- 31:18Like if you are going on these ghost hunts, Gettysburg and stuff like that,
- 31:22Williamsburg, we're surrounded by the spirits of others that were suffering,
- 31:28that died in battle and stuff like that.
- 31:33We all are energy so our physical bodies die but where does this energy go i
- 31:39mean energy cannot be you know created nor destroyed so it's go someplace uh
- 31:44so whether you have a residual you know haunting which a lot of times is probably
- 31:49the most common it's just something that's,
- 31:51goes on it's like on repeat and you hear the same thing or you see the same
- 31:55thing in a certain time that's the energy that's left behind or you get into
- 32:00these more intelligent hauntings like Like in Anne Lund's condition in her home there in the Bronx,
- 32:07things would happen. Things will move because it's physical.
- 32:11They're reaching out. So it's more intelligent type of a haunt.
- 32:16There's so many different types. And I think really the answer to the question
- 32:21that this show is trying to say, should we fear it?
- 32:23We shouldn't fear it. We need to understand it more and normalize it more.
- 32:27But every uh individual experience is
- 32:30going to be a little bit different depending on what you encounter from
- 32:34the other side there are some people like my wife who can just open up and basically
- 32:40communicate with any of them some are going to be good some are going to be
- 32:45bad and and um i know you mentioned she's not scared but there were times when
- 32:50she was absolutely frightened Frightened.
- 32:53And just like in real life, there's good people, there's bad people.
- 32:56And when you move on, that doesn't really change, I don't think.
- 33:00Because I'm not the type that believes in heaven and hell. I think it's all
- 33:04the same. It's just another realm.
- 33:06There's still that yin and yang. There's still good. There's still evil.
- 33:10So I think that's, you know, another part of fear. It just depends on the type of experience you have.
- 33:18And just because sometimes it might be a negative experience doesn't mean that
- 33:22they're all going to be negative.
- 33:24I think it's just based on your vibrations and how you handle it.
- 33:28Um so in conclusion i
- 33:30just want to go around real quick uh britney your
- 33:33entire you know experience is in
- 33:36all right uh now that
- 33:39we've spoken a little bit more about it and you might have a slight
- 33:42more you know understanding of it is it
- 33:47something that you think should be normalized and should
- 33:51be practiced like should we be open to this sort of thing oh
- 33:55i absolutely think we should be open to it um and that's why when my son had
- 34:01told me that i didn't want to overwhelm him i didn't want to like shut him down
- 34:05or um like make him feel like it wasn't normal and one of the things he said
- 34:11to me is if you ever feel a hand on your back and nobody's around.
- 34:15It's your it's your grammy and i that to me was huge so i myself would like
- 34:23not to be so scared of ghosts maybe and there are things that both you and Anne have said that.
- 34:32Open my mind a little bit. I'll be honest. I'm still going to be scared,
- 34:36but definitely mind opening here.
- 34:41Very good. And, and I, to our listeners that, you know, might be interested
- 34:46too, but you living in a haunted house, I think other people are in that same
- 34:52situation and they're fearing it because they don't understand it.
- 34:56Is there anything you could say to them to put them a little bit more at ease?
- 35:01The one thing I, the one thing I wrapped my head around it is I was never physically hurt, like nothing.
- 35:08And I think when I realized that, that, you know, I'm not physically getting
- 35:12hurt, this, this entity, whatever you want to call it, is a really no harm.
- 35:17And so then I would start asking myself, well, what does he want?
- 35:21So I don't know if you know this, Brittany, but I saw, I saw a ghost when I
- 35:26was young and And he was as clear as you are.
- 35:29The way you look to me right now is how he looked. He was three-dimensional, whatever.
- 35:34He said nothing to me, but he
- 35:35looked at me. And there was a definite connection that we saw each other.
- 35:39So you want to talk about scary. And I was nine.
- 35:42So I was a little bit older than your son. So a little more cognizant maybe
- 35:47than like a three-year-old.
- 35:49And that happened one time, full body manifestation, you want to call it.
- 35:54But then the house had a bunch of like little creepy things happen.
- 35:58It probably would scare you, but I was never physically hurt.
- 36:02And so I think when I came to terms with that, then I would say to myself,
- 36:06well, what does this person or this entity want?
- 36:08And sadly, I never did find out.
- 36:11And, you know, this is now what, four years later.
- 36:14That's the big mystery of my life, I guess you could say. I always kind of wanted
- 36:18to try to figure it out, like looking at the history. And we never did figure it out.
- 36:23But yes, you could get emotionally hurt.
- 36:26I get it. It could scare you, but I'm still here, you know, and I consider myself
- 36:31lucky to have had that experience because it's not an experience a lot of people have.
- 36:37So, I know it sounds infantile, but I was never hurt by it.
- 36:42Right. Just a little scary in the beginning until we got used to it.
- 36:48Yeah. And I think, like, I know, and it's based again on Hollywood.
- 36:53You get some people, they get scratches or stuff on.
- 36:57But those physical wounds are so minor.
- 37:02I think a cat scratch would probably be worse than the things I've seen.
- 37:06So if it's just a
- 37:09spirit that's trying to reach out get your attention how those
- 37:13scratches wind up on people and all i'm not
- 37:16sure and again we're looking at tv and maybe people
- 37:19have had real life experiences where they
- 37:22might have gotten like some sort of physical wound but
- 37:25i don't recall anybody ever getting something so
- 37:29bad other than a small scratch appears
- 37:32on them or something like that so yeah
- 37:35i don't think we need to fear actual physical
- 37:39harm now objects can
- 37:42move sometimes and you know you might be in the path of
- 37:45that moving object but i don't think really
- 37:48it's intentional but again i
- 37:51also believe in the evil side of things and
- 37:55there could be evil but again even the evil it's in another
- 37:58dimension and i don't believe that it's strong
- 38:01enough to cross dimensions mentions yet to the point where it can actually harm
- 38:06you yeah and i could be wrong because i believe that there may be people whom
- 38:10have been maybe physically but i think more emotionally scarred by this because
- 38:17they maybe the entities are using that fear against them.
- 38:22So go ahead and i'm sorry britney I definitely think mine's more emotional fear than physical fear. Um,
- 38:38And I think the emotional fear probably would come from just thinking through
- 38:44this, somebody I didn't know, the unknown.
- 38:49So if it's somebody I do know, while it may be different, it is a little comforting in a way.
- 38:56Where if it was somebody like you saw, Anne, I think that emotional fear would
- 39:02take over. I've never, like, feared physical harm from a ghost.
- 39:09Right. And I can understand that because, you know, to back you up on that, it was scary.
- 39:17I'm not going to say I saw it like, oh, this is great. I can see something no
- 39:20one else sees. It was frightening. It was horrifying.
- 39:24But actually what made it even worse was when I began telling people and they
- 39:28were basically telling me I was making it up or there was something wrong with
- 39:32me. I was lucky that in my house, I had one other individual who was also seeing things. One person.
- 39:38So I had somebody to back me up, so to speak. And then when things would happen, she...
- 39:46You know, she was a voice of reason, I guess I could go to her and she was like,
- 39:49Oh, yeah, this is what happened.
- 39:52So, yeah, and interestingly enough, if I could just add, there's a,
- 39:56I don't know if I mentioned this to you guys, but across the street from my
- 39:59house, there's a 300 year old, I was like 250, or maybe 300 year old house. It's a historic house.
- 40:06And there was a family that lived there. It was very friendly with the mother.
- 40:10She actually gave birth to her four children in the house.
- 40:14So she was very connected to that house, just primarily connected to that house.
- 40:19She had her four children there.
- 40:21And there was a, I call him, I'm not going to give him his name,
- 40:24but I did the research on it.
- 40:26There was a ghost in that house because a young boy had died,
- 40:29a 16-year-old boy had died.
- 40:31And there were talks about maybe how he died was a suicide. He was in a car
- 40:35accident. He ran into a tree.
- 40:37Long story short, this boy occupied this house right across the street.
- 40:42And I actually have an EVP of his voice.
- 40:45I just wish I could share it. I just don't know how to share it. It's on my old phone.
- 40:50But her children, and this is why I want to just mention this to Brittany with
- 40:54her son, her children all saw Alan, this boy.
- 40:59And they were in the house for seven or eight years before where they moved
- 41:02and they were totally comfortable with him and they all saw him all the time. I didn't, I never did.
- 41:09And I had been in the house many times, never experienced anything.
- 41:11But I think because the mother basically said, this is normal, this is fine.
- 41:16They continued to see him. And it was really interesting to talk to these kids.
- 41:21They weren't lying. They definitely saw something.
- 41:25But I give kudos to that mom because she was also on a spiritual realm,
- 41:30probably a a little bit like your mom, Hannah, so she would see,
- 41:35but she also, she nurtured that in her kids.
- 41:38And so they have a ton of experiences in that house, a ton.
- 41:43So just want to preface that, when you don't make it taboo, I think it just gets stronger.
- 41:51Yeah, I just think that. Yeah. I think that's definitely important, raising Chase or my son.
- 41:58I've been very open-minded it with things and that's one thing I never wanted
- 42:02to force anything on him and you know when he said that I the last thing I wanted
- 42:08to do was discourage him in any way if he does truly have this gift,
- 42:13to connect with people so it's the naysayers I just want to tell them to go
- 42:21pound sand because yeah right people like that I'm just whatever you don't have
- 42:26to believe what I'm telling you just.
- 42:29Don't voice it exactly exactly i
- 42:33i think too that's the other thing on the outside
- 42:36of this the outside of our group or outside of the
- 42:38metaphysical yet is a lot of witch hunting still going
- 42:41on and it's yeah we need to
- 42:44just start normalizing things that might not
- 42:47seem normal to all of us uh the
- 42:50welcoming of spirits and ghosts the good ones the
- 42:53ones that we can connect to um it can
- 42:56be a wonderful nurturing and learning experience
- 42:59for all of us because we could find out a lot more about
- 43:02ourselves we could find out a lot more about the past uh
- 43:05we could connect dots on certain things and you know just find out the history
- 43:10of other people and the way they had lived and i find that to be beautiful and
- 43:14that's you know just me in my opinion but uh I think we've touched on what we
- 43:21wanted to touch on on this.
- 43:23So I really, if somebody has something else you'd get like Anna Brittany,
- 43:27if you got something else you want to add to our little discussion here, please jump in now.
- 43:31But Hannah, did you have anything?
- 43:34I know you had just, you had mentioned like, it's, you know,
- 43:37it's beautiful and it makes me think of, you know, that there are,
- 43:41you know, Mexico, for example, you know, they have like the day of the dead.
- 43:46And i like there's still cultures out there that
- 43:50um you know are just
- 43:53widely accepting of the this and i would
- 43:56like you know i would love to just sit down with like someone who
- 43:59does that and just see like what they've experienced because i just think it's
- 44:03so beautiful and you know it's just something that you know like britney said
- 44:08like to tell them to go like kick sand um like people who don't believe um because
- 44:13like there are cultures out there that do this and it's the normal for them.
- 44:16And I think we should normalize that. And, you know, maybe we would be more
- 44:20at peace, you know, because I just find like, you know, especially like I've
- 44:23had an experience where it's just like someone's gone and you don't know why and you're angry.
- 44:27But I think if more people were open minded to.
- 44:31Things like this, then maybe you would get like the answers that you would want.
- 44:35And maybe it would help you with your grief if you were open to it.
- 44:38Cause I know for sure, like from personal experience, it has helped,
- 44:41you know, yes, I'm still angry, but I've had experiences that have gotten me by. So. Perfect.
