- 0:12Speaker 1: after watching he's to the right, I think of me,
- 0:14Speaker 1: left of me, the right of you. However, he's the
- 0:17Speaker 1: lighter skin one, taller one on we want to use
- 0:22Speaker 1: uh back just tak taking back in the think the
- 0:24Speaker 1: nineties to took this picture in my house. Actually yeah, hady,
- 0:29Speaker 1: late nineties because it's my room. That's my room. I
- 0:31Speaker 1: wasn't living here yet. It's his birthday today. Let me
- 0:35Speaker 1: say how old he is, that's up to him, but
- 0:37Speaker 1: it's his he's three years. They're gonna be, but it's
- 0:39Speaker 1: his birthday to day and his Sames Jr. And hey,
- 0:42Speaker 1: birthday to him. He is getting a lesson on life
- 0:49Speaker 1: these last this last year or so with job change
- 0:54Speaker 1: and health issue and my mom and I and the
- 0:57Speaker 1: whole thing was stuff. He's doing a lot of stuff,
- 0:59Speaker 1: so it's gad points he's learning about He's learning some
- 1:02Speaker 1: stuff about life right now. And I and I just
- 1:05Speaker 1: and it's been and he and I've gotten closer the
- 1:08Speaker 1: last few years because of what we're going on. The
- 1:11Speaker 1: person on the darker skime of the shorter one, the
- 1:15Speaker 1: amazing smile my brother Max so it's also the anniversary
- 1:21Speaker 1: of his death ten years ago. I got that phone
- 1:25Speaker 1: call that he had died. He was driving and putting
- 1:30Speaker 1: out a heart attack while driving. But here's the thing,
- 1:32Speaker 1: that's that's why God is wonderful on some level, right
- 1:37Speaker 1: I wish he wasn't dead. Obviously, I missed some every
- 1:39Speaker 1: single day of my life, and I can start crying.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm trying. I'm trying not to try not to get
- 1:43Speaker 1: through that right to I want to get through this
- 1:48Speaker 1: and talk to you guys. He was here. He was
- 1:53Speaker 1: on a side street. Nobody was in front, nobody was behind.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It was it was quiet, and the car just kind
- 1:59Speaker 1: of rolled off to the side, didn't hit anything, and
- 2:03Speaker 1: he didn't hit anything. And so that's why I say
- 2:07Speaker 1: angels were watching him as he was leaving us. His
- 2:11Speaker 1: funeral was standing him only I spoke at it. He
- 2:14Speaker 1: was one of the kind Max is somebody who is
- 2:17Speaker 1: my big brother, you know. It was shorter in stature.
- 2:23Speaker 1: He was like the personality. Plus he made everybody feel welcome,
- 2:29Speaker 1: everybody feel loved, everybody feel happy. We were there times
- 2:35Speaker 1: we walk we'd see each other and were like weld
- 2:38Speaker 1: coming to where he worked, or he's come up to
- 2:40Speaker 1: the ouse or whatever. We would just start laughing, was laughing,
- 2:44Speaker 1: oh yeah, and just and just give each other big hugs.
- 2:46Speaker 1: We would We've had we had serious talks. We had
- 2:49Speaker 1: a falling out for will to you, as brothers do.
- 2:52Speaker 1: We had to falling out for a minute and put
- 2:54Speaker 1: it back together and both my brothers at one point
- 3:00Speaker 1: and for various reasons, and we all come back together.
- 3:05Speaker 1: He was just somebody who I was like, just I
- 3:08Speaker 1: feel like one of those bright lights that was distinguished
- 3:10Speaker 1: too early. And so I think about these two because
- 3:13Speaker 1: I remember so the guys who don't know me from before,
- 3:17Speaker 1: who met me during the pandemic, couldn't know the story
- 3:19Speaker 1: I was at after Best TV. I was his last text.
- 3:24Speaker 1: He had asked me what was going on and we're
- 3:26Speaker 1: going try and get together. Like he was like, Hey,
- 3:27Speaker 1: what's going on? Blah blah, and we'll get together. And
- 3:31Speaker 1: I answered back, but he didn't answer me back. I
- 3:33Speaker 1: was like, why is he not answering me back? Meanwhile,
- 3:36Speaker 1: it was my brother's birthday, so and it all fell
- 3:38Speaker 1: on a Sunday, so I had to go to at
- 3:43Speaker 1: the TV and do my soap shows that particular day.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I did all four I did because I did that.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I guessed it on on days. I did GH because
- 4:00Speaker 1: I normally did. I guessed it on Y and R,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and I did BALD I can normally do. And it
- 4:06Speaker 1: was after BALD when I was leaving this is out
- 4:10Speaker 1: what And at first C was out in Burbank North
- 4:15Speaker 1: Hollywood area, and so back then at that time was
- 4:19Speaker 1: I was. I. I was walking out, and I was
- 4:26Speaker 1: gonna walk down to the train station, which was like
- 4:28Speaker 1: a mile a half mile down, take a train to
- 4:31Speaker 1: the city. It was just easier and faster that way.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Do it that way. I was thinned back then, so
- 4:36Speaker 1: I could do that. No no knee issues like I
- 4:39Speaker 1: have now. I went out, I went. I got a
- 4:43Speaker 1: phone call. As I was, I said, by everybody, I'm
- 4:45Speaker 1: walking outside, get a phone call from number I didn't recognize.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I pick it up and I was told and I
- 4:54Speaker 1: felt part outside. I mean, so it was dark, but
- 4:59Speaker 1: it was there was night time and I was there
- 5:00Speaker 1: was like eight o'clock at night, and I was, I
- 5:02Speaker 1: was going around the corner to catch my breath because
- 5:05Speaker 1: I couldn't catch my breath. It was such a shock
- 5:09Speaker 1: because he wasn't sickly. You good to kind of tell
- 5:12Speaker 1: he was a if you're watching, used to work out
- 5:14Speaker 1: and he's a buff guy, bodybuilder whatever, and just it
- 5:18Speaker 1: was just such it was such a shock, as you guys,
- 5:21Speaker 1: anybody who's had a sudden death nose, it's just the
- 5:25Speaker 1: wind is literally knocked out of your your sails. And
- 5:30Speaker 1: so I was like, okay, well then I'm going to
- 5:34Speaker 1: I pulled myself. I couldn't go anythore. I to pull
- 5:35Speaker 1: myself together. I couldn't go. Uh, I couldn't go. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: couldn't go any further. Then I had to call my mother,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and so then I remember telling her we were falling
- 5:47Speaker 1: a part of the phone. You know. It was just
- 5:53Speaker 1: it was a it was a mess. So I saw, I,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'm coming home and I have a present for j
- 6:00Speaker 1: Hard because it's his birthday. I'm like, what, I got
- 6:05Speaker 1: to tell him that Max is dead. I'm like, here, hey, birthday.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I remember, I remember I did this. I remember. I
- 6:12Speaker 1: can't remember now it's been ten years ago. I remember
- 6:14Speaker 1: telling because I came home from work and I come
- 6:16Speaker 1: to the front door and and and Jerry say, how
- 6:19Speaker 1: do you go? How to go today? Blah blah, and
- 6:22Speaker 1: tell them and then I think I left the presence
- 6:25Speaker 1: sitting out. I don't remember. Is that funny? I remember,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I remember everything else, but I don't remember that part.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I know all these years I used to remember that.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I don't remember that. I don't remember I did. I know.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I still gave him the present, but I couldn't. It
- 6:36Speaker 1: was just like it just felt like this is fucked.
- 6:40Speaker 1: He died on his birthday. It's like that's not fun. Uh.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So I don't remember got it, don't remember, so I
- 6:46Speaker 1: just I love it, but I told him so. It
- 6:49Speaker 1: just it's I have a couple of the brothers come,
- 6:51Speaker 1: all of the ones out there out there, but this
- 6:54Speaker 1: was just particularly. These two are forever linked for me
- 6:59Speaker 1: just because of that eight Uh. And you know about
- 7:02Speaker 1: birth and about death actually, and both of these brothers
- 7:06Speaker 1: are the artists. Are so entrenched in my life with
- 7:11Speaker 1: memories growing up and memories as adults. I have a
- 7:16Speaker 1: lot of members are back. So oh my god. I
- 7:19Speaker 1: mean we had so many adventures. Uh. He was a
- 7:22Speaker 1: godfreing man, but we had fun at the same time.
- 7:25Speaker 1: He was he was he was he was prudist, he
- 7:27Speaker 1: was very just kind of like you know whatever. I
- 7:29Speaker 1: was actually the crazy one, you're probably not surprised. And
- 7:35Speaker 1: we had a lot like guess we had. I mean,
- 7:37Speaker 1: I just I'm sure to just think about all these
- 7:38Speaker 1: things are flooding to me right now. I wish I
- 7:39Speaker 1: could just tell you everything that we had a book.
- 7:42Speaker 1: One day I'll write it. But one thing is I'll
- 7:45Speaker 1: tell you he used to be a FedEx driver, so
- 7:48Speaker 1: he did the whole West Hollywood, Beverly Hills there. Say
- 7:51Speaker 1: everybody new Max. When I was come to visit, it
- 7:54Speaker 1: was like he was a Jameson Junior of the South,
- 7:57Speaker 1: meaning the South of l A. He convinsed me and
- 7:59Speaker 1: know the he was, and he was I was. He
- 8:01Speaker 1: was a Max of the No, I was a Max
- 8:04Speaker 1: of the North. It was that was our whole. I
- 8:05Speaker 1: liked being his little, his baby brother. I went out
- 8:08Speaker 1: with him. We there had to wait in line nowhere.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Everybody was happy to see him. We always had a
- 8:12Speaker 1: good time wherever he went. When I came back to LA,
- 8:15Speaker 1: it was so much fun. He helped me reconnect. He's
- 8:18Speaker 1: one of people help me reconnect with La. Uh, there's
- 8:22Speaker 1: a lot of place I didn't I didn't know La.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I mean, I've been gone for twenty two years. A
- 8:25Speaker 1: lot of places I just didn't know other than from
- 8:28Speaker 1: visits here and there. Like I had a few ways
- 8:30Speaker 1: I liked, but it's like what else is going on here?
- 8:33Speaker 1: I was just here now for my mom because I
- 8:35Speaker 1: think you'd be a great caigurer for her here. Oh
- 8:39Speaker 1: my god, he'd be wonderful. Thanks. She would agree. Me
- 8:43Speaker 1: and j are doing our best, obviously, But I said,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I just think his demeanor just it's just it's so
- 8:48Speaker 1: suited for that. He was very caring, giving person we had.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I want to go shout out to Tarung, the restaurant
- 8:57Speaker 1: that is our place that we used to go to
- 8:59Speaker 1: all time in Hollywood. I'm Wilton and Holly Bouleward. They're
- 9:02Speaker 1: still there cast only the food is so good. I
- 9:06Speaker 1: need to go there. I need to go there soon.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And uh when I come back, I want to trips
- 9:12Speaker 1: when I come back to my trip. That's all I do.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I need to go to run and uh. And we
- 9:19Speaker 1: used to go there late at night and it was
- 9:22Speaker 1: oh sorry. My niece text me, I was so there
- 9:24Speaker 1: late at night, out of time food. My sister Samantha,
- 9:27Speaker 1: we have the best time. Oh my god, the food's
- 9:29Speaker 1: so good there. It's still there. It's still there. It's
- 9:31Speaker 1: so good. But he used to go open from five
- 9:32Speaker 1: to evening at five in the morning. That's how I
- 9:34Speaker 1: used to That's how it used to was back in
- 9:35Speaker 1: the day. But he did he made good gumbo. He
- 9:38Speaker 1: had these gumbo things. And I don't make gumbo too,
- 9:40Speaker 1: but he made good gumbo. That was good. Also. Yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 1: I mean, I just I just a lot of things
- 9:49Speaker 1: are flying to their memory. And my brother Jr. I
- 9:51Speaker 1: laughed about him, go back to him. We were just talking,
- 9:54Speaker 1: we say about Jaws, about sharks, and I was such
- 9:57Speaker 1: a dick as a kid with him because he's my brother.
- 9:59Speaker 1: So things we have this this rubber shark as a
- 10:04Speaker 1: toy or whatever we said. I used to just terrorize
- 10:07Speaker 1: in the bapt up with it, just like he was
- 10:08Speaker 1: so scared of sharks, so like why I do that?
- 10:13Speaker 1: But then he would terrorize me this the next thing,
- 10:15Speaker 1: you both left hand and we just next to each
- 10:16Speaker 1: other at the table and he's just like staring at me,
- 10:19Speaker 1: trying to breathe on me all this stuff, and I
- 10:20Speaker 1: was like, stop breathing on me all like all that stuff.
- 10:22Speaker 1: We would go to my Girlther's house as a kid
- 10:24Speaker 1: and play with my cousins at the time who were
- 10:26Speaker 1: on the same age. So a lot of stuff is
- 10:30Speaker 1: coming up for me as I'm sitting here talking to
- 10:32Speaker 1: you at home. But on them both, I said, this
- 10:35Speaker 1: is ten year anniversary. Can't believe that the Max is
- 10:38Speaker 1: gone j R. And I are still here and we're
- 10:41Speaker 1: still kicking, and we are kicking, trust me. And I'm
- 10:49Speaker 1: just I'm smiling a little more today, like okay, I like,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I've been very fortunate to have both of them, so
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna smile them more today. So just
- 10:58Speaker 1: wish him both. Wish him wi J. How your birthday
- 11:00Speaker 1: which Max ad just season heaven. I have a good time,
- 11:04Speaker 1: I'm sure. And I made it through the video. My god,
- 11:07Speaker 1: I made that. I almost I almost was gonna make
- 11:09Speaker 1: it my man, through the video. That's all I wanted
- 11:11Speaker 1: to say this morning. And uh, I'm very fortunately I've
- 11:14Speaker 1: had both of them. Everyone, it's jail j this morning.
