- 0:29Speaker 2: Unleash Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how you doing right now?
- 0:34Speaker 1: It's great to be with you under a great I mean,
- 0:36Speaker 1: I'm looking at my investments. I'm looking at my stock portfolio.
- 0:39Speaker 3: It's way way up. This is an incredible bull market
- 0:42Speaker 3: we're seeing. It's this is the best week we've added
- 0:45Speaker 3: two years for the stock market. So feeling pretty good
- 0:48Speaker 3: about things. How about you, Well, I'm reading the New
- 0:51Speaker 3: York Times. There's a sentence in here. Now listen to
- 0:53Speaker 3: this sentence, the president who's troubled by the Iran conflict
- 0:57Speaker 3: and his wobbly economy. What the hell are they talking about?
- 1:01Speaker 1: Wildly hardly they must be thinking that Joe Biden is
- 1:06Speaker 1: still president. Well, this is a this is an economy
- 1:09Speaker 1: where you have more jobs open than than workers. You've
- 1:13Speaker 1: got an amazing situation with with the market. You know,
- 1:18Speaker 1: now we're at We're going to be at fifty five thousand.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I'm in doll pretty soon, which is incredible. Uh, And
- 1:23Speaker 1: we're seeing as as you know, our buddy Larry Kuttler
- 1:26Speaker 1: talks about a big investment boom in this country with
- 1:29Speaker 1: with huge increases in investment in new factories and equipment
- 1:34Speaker 1: and plants and data hunters and all of this stuff.
- 1:37Speaker 1: And then you've got you've got a construction boom and
- 1:41Speaker 1: a and a manufacturing boom. So I don't know what
- 1:44Speaker 1: the New York Times is talking about. This. By the way,
- 1:49Speaker 1: our economy is better than the economy of virtually every
- 1:54Speaker 1: other country in the world. I mean, maybe there's some
- 1:56Speaker 1: small countries that I'm not aware of, but if you
- 1:58Speaker 1: look at Europe, if you look at Japan, if you
- 2:00Speaker 1: look at China, if you look at Britain, every one
- 2:03Speaker 1: of those countries are looking at you think, so, like, God,
- 2:06Speaker 1: what's going on there? How do we get some of that?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, I think this is the most important story.
- 2:11Speaker 2: You've reported this in others, but because the big thing
- 2:14Speaker 2: is affordability, inflation affordability? Now, this is true, right, we
- 2:19Speaker 2: pay more nowadays, we pay more in taxes than we
- 2:22Speaker 2: do for food, clothing, and shelter.
- 2:24Speaker 4: That is true.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Isn't that unbelievable? I mean it's.
- 2:34Speaker 4: I lost you? What Steve Moore? Are you there? What happened?
- 2:49Speaker 4: Steve Moore?
- 2:55Speaker 1: And yet?
- 2:57Speaker 4: Wait, Steve, you can't hear us? Something happened? Did he
- 3:00Speaker 4: go to speaker phone?
- 3:03Speaker 3: He loot candidates?
- 3:05Speaker 1: Candidates?
- 3:06Speaker 3: Uh?
- 3:09Speaker 4: I don't know. Is he honest? Speaker? Hey, Steve? At
- 3:16Speaker 4: some point he'll stop talking about them? Back, Steve Moore?
- 3:21Speaker 4: Can you hear us? Can you hear us? Hello? I
- 3:30Speaker 4: don't know. I guess we lost Steve Morey there? Hello?
- 3:38Speaker 4: All right, well should we try to call him back? Oh?
- 3:44Speaker 1: Sorry, I lost you there?
- 3:45Speaker 4: Oh yeah, no, we lost you for like the last
- 3:47Speaker 4: two minutes. You did? Something happened?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Tell me about that. I was just saying that. You
- 3:51Speaker 1: know this, this woman who won the race in uh
- 3:54Speaker 1: Wisconsin is likely to be the next governor of Wisconsin,
- 3:58Speaker 1: at least the Democratic an e. She wants to abolish Thanksgiving? Yeah, well, hey,
- 4:06Speaker 1: for country.
- 4:08Speaker 2: She may not be wrong about that abolished Thanksgiving, but
- 4:13Speaker 2: no We love thanks, but hey, we missed your answer
- 4:16Speaker 2: about we're paying more in taxes than we do for food.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Your phone yet your phone doll.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, So basically what's happened is we if you
- 4:24Speaker 1: look at how much Americans pay in taxes and you
- 4:27Speaker 1: compare that with what we pay for our food, for
- 4:32Speaker 1: our housing, and for a clothing, you pay more in
- 4:35Speaker 1: taxes than you do for the vitals. Isn't that amazing?
- 4:38Speaker 4: It's shocking.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Now if you just stood back and looked at this
- 4:43Speaker 2: from afar, how much should you be paying in taxes?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Wouldn't you think be ten or twenty percent? Why are
- 4:50Speaker 2: people paying more than that? How did that ever happen?
- 4:54Speaker 1: You know, if you go back to the first one
- 4:55Speaker 1: hundred years of our country, people paid about ten percent
- 4:58Speaker 1: of their income in taxes. Now we have tax rates
- 5:01Speaker 1: that go up to forty percent. And so you know,
- 5:04Speaker 1: what I would like to see is a flat tax.
- 5:07Speaker 1: You know, as you know, I'm a Steve Forbes guy. Yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and I know you're good friends with Steve as well.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Why can't we have like an eighteen percent flat tax
- 5:14Speaker 1: every you know, you don't get all the loopholes and
- 5:16Speaker 1: all the deductions and all the special interest privileges in
- 5:19Speaker 1: the code, and everybody just pays eighteen percent and that
- 5:22Speaker 1: should be enough for government, right, I mean, and that's
- 5:24Speaker 1: just for the federal government. Then you probably have an
- 5:26Speaker 1: ad on maybe six percent for this. So I don't
- 5:29Speaker 1: think the government should ever take more than twenty five
- 5:31Speaker 1: percent of whether someone's earns.
- 5:33Speaker 2: No, And you're going to find that most of this
- 5:36Speaker 2: government spending, it's bloat, waist, fraud, medicare for all that
- 5:40Speaker 2: kind of stuff. If you got rid of all of that,
- 5:42Speaker 2: you could cut everybody's taxes in half tomorrow.
- 5:45Speaker 4: But there maybe, but you.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Could certainly cut because we estimate, by the way, just
- 5:50Speaker 1: the fraud that they know about in Washington, in other words,
- 5:53Speaker 1: probably half of it. These people get away with it.
- 5:56Speaker 1: But the fraud we know about is over trillion dollars
- 6:00Speaker 1: million dollars a fraud. And these these deficulties to raise taxes. No,
- 6:04Speaker 1: before you start talking about raising taxes, why don't you
- 6:06Speaker 1: get rid of the people are cheating and stealing and
- 6:09Speaker 1: you know, and some of it's just the the incompetence
- 6:11Speaker 1: of government. They're sending out to checks to people they
- 6:14Speaker 1: don't even know who they are, whether they're an American citizen,
- 6:16Speaker 1: et cetera. We need to clean up this system, but
- 6:20Speaker 1: a lot of the governors don't want to do it.
- 6:22Speaker 1: They won't even comply with the federal government's orders to
- 6:26Speaker 1: you know, if you're gonna get Medicaid, if you're gonna
- 6:27Speaker 1: get all these government programs, you better make sure that
- 6:29Speaker 1: the people you're signing up are actually eligible for the programs.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh hey, Steve Moore, the el said victory in Michigan.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Uh is this good for Republicans to see these wackos
- 6:41Speaker 2: get the nomination make it easier to be.
- 6:44Speaker 1: No, it's not good for the country. And you know,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I know for those who are Republicans, you know, and
- 6:49Speaker 1: I'm a Republican, you know, it probably, you know, increases
- 6:52Speaker 1: the chances that Republicans will win some of these seats.
- 6:55Speaker 1: But you know, Mark, we only have two parties in
- 6:57Speaker 1: this country. You know, we're a two party system, Democrats
- 7:00Speaker 1: and we have Republicans. And I call it sometimes I
- 7:02Speaker 1: call them, you know, Depublicans and Democrats. But the fact
- 7:06Speaker 1: is that when one of the party goes over the defense,
- 7:09Speaker 1: it's not healthy. And so, you know, when you've got
- 7:12Speaker 1: the left candidates running against the follow left candidates, and
- 7:15Speaker 1: the follow left candidates of the Democratic Party are winning.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That's just bad news for the country. And by the way,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I think I mentioned the Senator Show a couple of
- 7:23Speaker 1: weeks ago, but I'm going to say it again. I
- 7:25Speaker 1: think right now, if you were to ask me who
- 7:27Speaker 1: the Democratic nominee for president is going to be in
- 7:29Speaker 1: twenty twenty eight, I think it might be aocal. She's
- 7:32Speaker 1: got all the wind their back. I do's she's according
- 7:36Speaker 1: to the very very early polls in New Hampshire, as
- 7:39Speaker 1: you know, in New Hampshire goes first. She's in the
- 7:41Speaker 1: league in New Hampshire. And you know in second place
- 7:45Speaker 1: is Kamala, So that you got tweedledde and tweedled dumb there.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, oh god, yeah, But don't you think with the
- 7:53Speaker 2: mom Donni's and the l sads in this crowd, don't
- 7:55Speaker 2: you think AOC is starting to look like Margaret Thatcher
- 7:58Speaker 2: to the most Democrats?
- 8:01Speaker 1: He may be too concern for this party. But you know,
- 8:03Speaker 1: if you look up Mark, you just probably haven't read
- 8:06Speaker 1: our hotline yet this morning, because you probably right. But
- 8:09Speaker 1: oh yeah, how about the fact that when you look
- 8:12Speaker 1: at who voted for these crazy left wing socialists in
- 8:16Speaker 1: the Democratic privary in Michigan. It was not working class,
- 8:20Speaker 1: you know, it wasn't union members, it wasn't you know,
- 8:23Speaker 1: the working class people. It was the college educated in
- 8:28Speaker 1: the college towns like Anna, Albert, Michigan, and then the
- 8:31Speaker 1: government workers that all went for the left wing candidates.
- 8:35Speaker 1: So the Democrats keep saying over for the middle class,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and no, they're not, they're not. You know, socialism can
- 8:40Speaker 1: only Oh by the way, and the very rich Democrats
- 8:43Speaker 1: also voted for the socialists, so they can afford socialism.
- 8:46Speaker 1: If you're a millionaire or a billionaire, yeah, let's have
- 8:48Speaker 1: a little more socialism. It's not to affect me. But boy,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I mean, you know, if you're if you're living paycheck
- 8:54Speaker 1: to paycheck and you have socialism, good luck.
- 8:56Speaker 2: You have these crazy college kids that vote for these
- 8:58Speaker 2: mom donny types.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Unbelievable.
- 9:01Speaker 2: They've been indoctrinated in Columbia, Harvard, all these indoctrination centers. Yes,
- 9:05Speaker 2: but that's still continuing. How are you ever going to
- 9:07Speaker 2: stop that?
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's why I mentioned Annam Michigan, as
- 9:11Speaker 1: you know, is where the University of Michigan is one
- 9:13Speaker 1: of our largest universities and one of our best public
- 9:15Speaker 1: universities in the country, and they're just churning out like factories,
- 9:19Speaker 1: these left wing crazies who don't know how the world works.
- 9:22Speaker 1: And so how do we do that? You know, I
- 9:25Speaker 1: want to start taxing these university endowments. They have a
- 9:28Speaker 1: trillion dollars of endowments, these universities, a trillion dollars and
- 9:32Speaker 1: it's never been taxed. So how about we slap a
- 9:35Speaker 1: ten or fifteen percent tax on these Let's say they
- 9:37Speaker 1: care so much about you know, people or people, why
- 9:40Speaker 1: don't we we tax them and then use that to
- 9:42Speaker 1: pay for the welfare programs.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Hey, Steve Moore, before we run out of time, were
- 9:46Speaker 2: told me this earlier AI for all of its benefits
- 9:49Speaker 2: and all that it's getting very expensive for businesses, and
- 9:52Speaker 2: the AI costs for a business. I'm looking at the SpaceX.
- 9:55Speaker 2: This stock took a tumble yesterday because they AI costs
- 9:59Speaker 2: it through the What are we going to do about that?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Well, but you know, on the other hand, I've been
- 10:04Speaker 1: talking to businesses left and right. CEOs of companies are
- 10:07Speaker 1: telling me they're staving a lot of money from AI. Now,
- 10:10Speaker 1: AI is an expensive new tool. But just it's going
- 10:12Speaker 1: to come down in price. You know, just look at
- 10:15Speaker 1: what happened with cell phones and every other new technology.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It starts out being expensive and then it comes down.
- 10:20Speaker 1: But this is going to cause a productivity revolution for
- 10:24Speaker 1: American companies. They'll be able to produce more and more
- 10:26Speaker 1: goods and services at lower costs. And that will mean thankfully,
- 10:30Speaker 1: lower prices. And another it's more affordability. So I'm a
- 10:34Speaker 1: big believer. But we got to build data centers. And
- 10:37Speaker 1: I know New York, I think, has basically said no
- 10:41Speaker 1: new data centers. I don't understand that. I would think
- 10:43Speaker 1: New York would want the jobs and all the you know,
- 10:46Speaker 1: investment that comes with data centers. But if they're not
- 10:48Speaker 1: going to build them in New York, they'll build them
- 10:50Speaker 1: in Red states.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:51Speaker 2: But you know, a Democrats, they need a villain, They
- 10:53Speaker 2: need a you know, it used to be nuclear plants,
- 10:55Speaker 2: now it's data centers. They need somebody to demonize and
- 10:58Speaker 2: go out.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I remember what they demonized. Remember when they demonized remember
- 11:02Speaker 1: this fracking. Yeah, it's gonna cause earthquakes, They're gonna pollute
- 11:06Speaker 1: all the water. And now you know we've got cracking
- 11:09Speaker 1: is a one or one of the things that's made
- 11:10Speaker 1: America the number one producer of oil gas. It's it
- 11:13Speaker 1: saved the country five trillion dollars. And I don't know.
- 11:17Speaker 1: We've got some earthquakes, but I don't know if if
- 11:19Speaker 1: it's any worse than it was before we had cracking.
- 11:21Speaker 2: No, but the data center, they may they may have
- 11:24Speaker 2: solved the electricity problem. They'll be able to solve the
- 11:26Speaker 2: water problem. What about the noise. They are noisy?
- 11:29Speaker 1: Well, because you know when I went to go visited,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I went and visited a data center a few weeks ago.
- 11:35Speaker 1: It's it's one of the biggest ones in the country,
- 11:38Speaker 1: Loudon County and you know what, it's right next to
- 11:41Speaker 1: no Dolls Dollas airports. Okay, this is brilliant. Build the
- 11:45Speaker 1: data centers by air forces because you're not going to
- 11:48Speaker 1: complain about the noise of the data center when you
- 11:50Speaker 1: got planes comes in it every night. So that that
- 11:53Speaker 1: makes put them out in the middle of the rural
- 11:55Speaker 1: areas where there aren't a lot of people. So we're
- 11:58Speaker 1: going to get this thing solved because we have to
- 12:00Speaker 1: number one. If we don't build the data centers, and
- 12:02Speaker 1: we're not number one on the AI. You know what
- 12:05Speaker 1: country wants to be number one? Yeah, China, So yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 1: we can't let that happen.
- 12:10Speaker 2: No, well, great stuff. Everybody gets Steve Moore's book, The
- 12:12Speaker 2: Trump Economic Miracle. It's an excellent book. You'll learn a lot.
