- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, yeah what?
- 0:01Speaker 2: Hello?
- 0:02Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 0:02Speaker 4: What you can ask us questions, you can make a statement,
- 0:06Speaker 4: you can you know, you can criticize.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Well, what's there to criticize?
- 0:12Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 0:13Speaker 5: There might be something not.
- 0:14Speaker 4: That I can think of. I don't think there's anything
- 0:17Speaker 4: that people would criticize.
- 0:18Speaker 6: That we do.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Hello, yeah what yeah?
- 0:22Speaker 7: So today is the company Halloween party. And I had
- 0:28Speaker 7: some extra canny from home, and I thought I could
- 0:33Speaker 7: get rid of Yeah, this is all the stuff that
- 0:35Speaker 7: I from last year.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Did you cherry pick from a variety pack? What we
- 0:40Speaker 5: wanted to keep it?
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah? I'm not a Skittles fan.
- 0:43Speaker 7: Yeah, most like nerds. Oh, here we go, sweet tarts,
- 0:49Speaker 7: I'm not.
- 0:50Speaker 5: No, you kept all the chocolate at home, didn't you.
- 0:53Speaker 7: There's some chocolate in there, but I was. I thought, well, okay,
- 0:56Speaker 7: it's the party today, I can get rid of this stuff.
- 0:59Speaker 7: Oh boxes and boxes of petty candy out Yeah? Oh
- 1:03Speaker 7: really yeah, so no one's gonna touch mine. I can
- 1:05Speaker 7: tell you right now.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Let's see we got so hello? Yeah what and here's somebody.
- 1:10Speaker 1: This is Jason?
- 1:11Speaker 2: Hello?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yeah, what hi? Jason?
- 1:13Speaker 4: Where are you calling us from?
- 1:14Speaker 8: I am calling from Lovely Saratoga Springs.
- 1:17Speaker 4: All right, and what what what have you got for us?
- 1:20Speaker 4: What would you like to say?
- 1:22Speaker 8: Well, first of all, thank you for letting me listen.
- 1:24Speaker 8: I love you guys.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Sure, no, no, no problem.
- 1:28Speaker 8: It goes without saying. I'm curious to know what your
- 1:32Speaker 8: favorite scary movie is or what your favorite Halloween movie is,
- 1:36Speaker 8: because for me, there's a little bit of a difference.
- 1:38Speaker 5: Yes, I would agree.
- 1:39Speaker 9: I have my so my favorite Halloween movie and Carrie
- 1:44Speaker 9: gave me this. So every Halloween I put Young Frankenstein
- 1:50Speaker 9: on and it just runs in the background all day, like,
- 1:55Speaker 9: over and over and over again. I this is part
- 1:59Speaker 9: of my Halloween decoration is to have Young Frankenstein in
- 2:03Speaker 9: the background.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And then, so, what's your scary movie?
- 2:07Speaker 5: I would say twenty eight Days Later is my favorite? Hmm.
- 2:13Speaker 7: I it's interesting that distinguishing between a Halloween movie scary movie.
- 2:19Speaker 7: I'm still wrapping my head around that.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I can't like that. I can't quite do it. How
- 2:25Speaker 4: about you, though, Yeah?
- 2:26Speaker 1: How about you?
- 2:29Speaker 8: Well, So my favorite scary movie is The Shining. I
- 2:32Speaker 8: love the tone. It's just it's a great movie to
- 2:35Speaker 8: watch overall. But my favorite Halloween movie again is Young Frankenstein.
- 2:38Speaker 8: Can't beat it?
- 2:39Speaker 9: Oh, you agree, okay, yeah, every October first flip it
- 2:46Speaker 9: on and like you said, it's in the background.
- 2:48Speaker 1: So here's so.
- 2:49Speaker 7: Here's the question. Halloween movie, scary movie. Here's a bigger question.
- 2:53Speaker 7: Is The Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween movie or a
- 2:56Speaker 7: Christmas movie?
- 2:58Speaker 1: That's a Christmas movie? Is it? It's Christmas?
- 3:02Speaker 7: I only see one Christmas character.
- 3:04Speaker 9: In it, although I have a Jack Skellington Halloween decoration.
- 3:10Speaker 5: That I I don't put it up. You don't put
- 3:12Speaker 5: it up at Christmas Halloween.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So there's the question.
- 3:16Speaker 7: All right, thank you, Jason, Thanks Jessica.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Hi, Jessica, Jessica, hell, yeah, Hi, Hi. Have you got
- 3:26Speaker 1: a joke for us? Jessica, Yes, I do. Okay, go ahead.
- 3:33Speaker 10: Why don't bombies like to eat ghosts?
- 3:36Speaker 5: Why don't zombies like to eat ghosts?
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:40Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know.
- 3:41Speaker 9: Why don't zombies like to eat ghosts because they don't
- 3:45Speaker 9: like heat? Oh?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Okay, I'll take it.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Jessica, Okay, all right, thank you, Okay.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Sylvia Hello, yeah? What oh Sylvia?
- 4:00Speaker 4: Hi, Hi from.
- 4:03Speaker 11: Milk Creek.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Okay, what's up?
- 4:06Speaker 6: Uh?
- 4:06Speaker 11: So I had a dream last week and it was
- 4:08Speaker 11: like really disturbing and I had a dream that my
- 4:10Speaker 11: one of my closest brother, my brother who I'm closest to, died,
- 4:14Speaker 11: and so of course yeah, and it was like it
- 4:17Speaker 11: was very vivid, and I woke up in a sweat
- 4:19Speaker 11: and it was, you know, one of those dreams. Yeah,
- 4:22Speaker 11: so of course I go and google like what it
- 4:24Speaker 11: can possibly mean, Like, you know, somebody dying and it's
- 4:27Speaker 11: supposed to represent that. Like I'm going, I'm I'm something
- 4:31Speaker 11: in my something in my subconscious is changing, like an
- 4:35Speaker 11: outlook on life is changing.
- 4:36Speaker 8: So okay, I just you know.
- 4:38Speaker 11: It's it's really it's really freaked me out. But like
- 4:41Speaker 11: the freakiest part is like I'm trying to figure out
- 4:43Speaker 11: what in my life is about to change, or like
- 4:46Speaker 11: what in my in my.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Periphery is changing.
- 4:49Speaker 11: So I just I just wanted to bring that up.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Are you are you a federal Are you a federal worker?
- 4:56Speaker 11: I do work for the government, but not the federal
- 4:59Speaker 11: gu I don't know.
- 5:02Speaker 9: You know what, Sylvia, I take away from this? You
- 5:05Speaker 9: should you should call your brother and say, hey, let's
- 5:08Speaker 9: go to lunch.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Well, first, say are you still alive?
- 5:12Speaker 11: Yeah, he's alive. And I thought him yesterday and I
- 5:14Speaker 11: didn't tell him. I had a dream that he died.
- 5:16Speaker 8: But I don't.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know.
- 5:18Speaker 11: Have you guys ever dreamed about someone you know.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And you love?
- 5:22Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, and then they don't And whenever I do that,
- 5:25Speaker 4: they don't stop.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Don't see that?
- 5:27Speaker 11: Oh No, Well, I don't know. I'm just gonna have
- 5:31Speaker 11: to I'm gonna wonder. I'm going to be looking on
- 5:33Speaker 11: the lookout for what's changing in my life.
- 5:35Speaker 5: But it could be a good thing, could It doesn't
- 5:37Speaker 5: have to be a bad thing.
- 5:38Speaker 11: Well, yeah, and that's what Google told me, you know,
- 5:41Speaker 11: because we should listen to Google, but that it is
- 5:43Speaker 11: something usually a positive change is coming.
- 5:46Speaker 4: But I had a dream the other night that that
- 5:48Speaker 4: Google died. It was very strange.
- 5:52Speaker 11: That might be a good thing.
- 5:53Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 5:54Speaker 4: All right, Sylvia, thank you, all right, Yeah, nothing's going
- 5:59Speaker 4: to change.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Shelley. Hi, Shelley, Hello, Hi.
- 6:05Speaker 12: So the gentleman that called earlier talking about Halloween movies.
- 6:10Speaker 12: I was having this conversation with my sister.
- 6:12Speaker 2: We both grew up.
- 6:13Speaker 12: In the eighties, and she was shocked that I had
- 6:17Speaker 12: never seen The Lost Boys.
- 6:19Speaker 2: It was just like, you have to watch it.
- 6:21Speaker 12: You got to watch it.
- 6:22Speaker 2: For Halloween, and so it took me.
- 6:24Speaker 12: Two days to watch it. I'm sorry it.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Took you two days to watch it.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Why did it take you two days?
- 6:31Speaker 12: I started it in the evening Friday or Saturday, and
- 6:37Speaker 12: the next morning I finished it.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I just.
- 6:41Speaker 12: I just can't believe about.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Yeah it is.
- 6:45Speaker 4: It's pretty terrible, but you have to so good.
- 6:48Speaker 8: Here.
- 6:49Speaker 9: Here's the thing though, when you saw it at the time, well,
- 6:53Speaker 9: this is the first time, but that's what I'm saying.
- 6:56Speaker 5: When when you saw it at the time it came out,
- 6:59Speaker 5: it was really cool, and it had good looking guys
- 7:03Speaker 5: in it, and it had.
- 7:05Speaker 7: Jamie had looking girls, Jamie gertz yea life changing.
- 7:10Speaker 5: I think seeing that at a different time in life would.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Have maybe maybe when you were younger and stupid.
- 7:16Speaker 12: Or hey, I was eleven when it came out.
- 7:20Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying.
- 7:21Speaker 9: If you were a teenage girl as I was and
- 7:25Speaker 9: your sister was, when Lost Boys came out, it was
- 7:29Speaker 9: a very important film, a very important.
- 7:34Speaker 12: I asked my nineteen year old daughter and like, hey,
- 7:38Speaker 12: she says, you've got to watch this movie. And she's like, oh,
- 7:41Speaker 12: I love that movie. I watch it every Halloween. Oh, Okay,
- 7:45Speaker 12: she and her best friend want to be Michael and
- 7:49Speaker 12: David the main vampire for Halloween next year.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Perfect.
- 7:53Speaker 3: So apparently it's got a cult following.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I got you.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Oh yeah it does. I support this, all right, thanks Shelly. Okay, yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 4: wait to take a bullet bullet for your sister.
- 8:06Speaker 1: All right?
- 8:06Speaker 2: Hello?
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah what Kelly? Hi? Kelly? Hello?
- 8:11Speaker 3: Hey, did Collin to talk about the Hello Queen Bay.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I heard the chat on the line yesterday. I wanted
- 8:21Speaker 3: to give a little bit more. Okay, all right, Matrons
- 8:25Speaker 3: and Mayhem are hosting. They are the longest running drag
- 8:29Speaker 3: show in Salt Lake City, and we are the bingo queens. A. Yeah,
- 8:34Speaker 3: we're going to be hosting three rounds of bingo during
- 8:37Speaker 3: the whole process.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You're up on the third floor.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah. And my persona is pandemic cityvon clap.
- 8:47Speaker 1: And say it again, what is your persona.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Pandemic? See von clap or pandemic?
- 8:54Speaker 1: Von clap pandemic?
- 8:57Speaker 5: All right, the more more reasons to go to the hell.
- 9:00Speaker 4: If you If you want tickets for that, you can
- 9:02Speaker 4: go to Utah Pride dot org.
- 9:05Speaker 1: R and tickets are there.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna be a big part I canceled my
- 9:08Speaker 4: Halloween party when I heard about this.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I knew nobody.
- 9:11Speaker 3: It's going to be a lot of fun.
- 9:13Speaker 1: It will be all right. Thanks Kelly, Thanks.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Cal thank you for your time.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Having great day?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Hello? Yeah? What hello?
- 9:20Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 9:20Speaker 1: What we'll continue? This is Eric? Hi, Eric, good morning.
- 9:26Speaker 9: Morning.
- 9:26Speaker 8: How are you guys?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Gray? Where are you calling from? Eric Taylor? Okay?
- 9:31Speaker 4: What you got?
- 9:32Speaker 12: Hey?
- 9:32Speaker 8: So earlier you guys said, I remember before Christmas was
- 9:37Speaker 8: a Christmas movie?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't planet you're living on? Yeah, carry Kerry
- 9:42Speaker 1: doesn't think it's a Christmas movie.
- 9:43Speaker 7: I think it's both Halloween and I.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Can see that. Yeah, what do you think?
- 9:51Speaker 8: You know, the dark scene, like the cob scene, all
- 9:55Speaker 8: of that, the whole.
- 9:56Speaker 6: The whole vibe of the film is just too halloween
- 9:59Speaker 6: to be.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I think Christmas is really dark. Don't you think Christmas
- 10:03Speaker 1: is dark?
- 10:04Speaker 4: Some fat guy comes into your house through the chimney.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I mean, come on, it's pretty dark.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Good point.
- 10:12Speaker 8: A little bit like calling Star Wars a s By movie.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Though, you know, yeah, I guess.
- 10:19Speaker 7: It's really a space opera.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Is it a Western?
- 10:24Speaker 1: People say it's a Western anyway? Thank you Eric?
- 10:26Speaker 7: Thanks, Yeah, it's good to Marty.
- 10:30Speaker 1: What Hey Marty.
- 10:31Speaker 4: By the way, we got lines open at eight seven seven,
- 10:34Speaker 4: six oh two nine six nine six.
- 10:36Speaker 1: What's up, Marty.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Hey, thanks for letting me listen. I've been listening actually
- 10:42Speaker 2: now since uh I'm thirteen, so it's been thirty years.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, oh my god.
- 10:48Speaker 4: That's how we are.
- 10:50Speaker 2: That's crazy. Okay. So you were talking about Bigfoot the
- 10:53Speaker 2: other day, and I have this theory about Bigfoot. I
- 10:57Speaker 2: always thought, you know, everybody's like, oh Bigfoot. It's just so,
- 11:00Speaker 2: you know, kind of fun to think about. But I
- 11:03Speaker 2: was watching the Patterson Gimlin film. I think that's what
- 11:05Speaker 2: it's called Time First One. If I got her wrong,
- 11:07Speaker 2: ipold him. Yeah. So I was watching it and I'm
- 11:09Speaker 2: as seamstress. I've been in theater for a long time.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I do art and sewing and all sorts of different things.
- 11:16Speaker 2: And I was looking at the film and so Bigfoot
- 11:19Speaker 2: is actually female and you can tell because she has
- 11:22Speaker 2: can I say, pendulous?
- 11:24Speaker 1: Yeah she has breast?
- 11:26Speaker 2: All right, yeah she does. But they're not just like
- 11:29Speaker 2: you know, it's not like seven of nine, you know,
- 11:30Speaker 2: in voyage or anything. They're actually like normal looking yet
- 11:35Speaker 2: you know.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yes, except their coverable air. Right.
- 11:38Speaker 2: But here's the thing. So if I was gonna fake Bigfoot,
- 11:42Speaker 2: I would make a man do it, because I wouldn't
- 11:44Speaker 2: take the time to sew a costume with pendulous you know. Yeah,
- 11:49Speaker 2: Like it doesn't make any sense to me. And that
- 11:52Speaker 2: kind of like threw me down this path of Bigfoot.
- 11:54Speaker 2: And I actually listened to Wild Things the podcast I
- 11:57Speaker 2: think the second season was m H and they talked
- 11:59Speaker 2: about bigfoots and it was fascinating, really fun to listen to.
- 12:03Speaker 2: If anybody is.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Interested, said, that's a good one.
- 12:05Speaker 2: But yeah, I just I since then, I like, I
- 12:09Speaker 2: can't say Bigfoot doesn't exist, because, as it seems, just
- 12:12Speaker 2: that would be a pain.
- 12:13Speaker 12: In the buck.
- 12:14Speaker 4: I think you're I think, why would you do that?
- 12:17Speaker 4: I think you've made a fairly astute observation that that
- 12:21Speaker 4: that that piece of film, that footage is really cleverly done.
- 12:26Speaker 4: I don't know, you know, it's it's it's very clever,
- 12:30Speaker 4: uh and and quite convincing. I mean it is convincing.
- 12:34Speaker 4: But that's the that's the only recorded sighting of a
- 12:37Speaker 4: bigfoot ever.
- 12:39Speaker 7: Yeah, the question that we were asking about Bigfoot was
- 12:43Speaker 7: why haven't we found any dead ones?
- 12:46Speaker 4: Well, because they collect them and they bury their own.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Is that right though if they were a community that
- 12:52Speaker 2: they would bury their own. Yeah, And just that heart
- 12:54Speaker 2: just always gets me, like I just I can't explain it,
- 12:57Speaker 2: and I'm like, I would not go to so much
- 12:58Speaker 2: trouble when I'm a seamstress. I know how much work
- 13:01Speaker 2: it would be.
- 13:02Speaker 7: Okay, but a special effects nerd would though.
- 13:05Speaker 1: That's true.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Well yeah, but I mean that's true. I mean that
- 13:10Speaker 2: I've been to comic Con because you.
- 13:13Speaker 7: Wouldn't go to the truck somebody would.
- 13:16Speaker 1: True, thank you, Marty.
- 13:17Speaker 12: True.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I just think it's silly like you would just say
- 13:20Speaker 2: I would pick the dude to do it.
- 13:21Speaker 4: You know, I would do that.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Much anyway, thank you. Maybe it's a free later, Marty.
- 13:26Speaker 1: It's a fetish all right, Mandy Hello, Yeah, what I'm Mandy.
- 13:32Speaker 6: Hey, Hey, how are you all this morning?
- 13:34Speaker 1: Just fine? What's going on?
- 13:37Speaker 6: Not a whole lot, just chilling like a villain.
- 13:40Speaker 9: Uh.
- 13:40Speaker 6: I want to say thank you so much for the
- 13:43Speaker 6: tickets that I won last Tuesday to go see Garbage
- 13:48Speaker 6: later this week.
- 13:49Speaker 8: Like it's going to be like.
- 13:51Speaker 6: A blast from the past, that's for damn sure.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Bill.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Bill Frost said he saw garbage when they came to
- 13:57Speaker 4: Salt Lake in nineteen ninety four the first time.
- 14:01Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, back when I was twelve.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Yeah, what else you got for us?
- 14:08Speaker 3: Mat?
- 14:10Speaker 9: Uh?
- 14:11Speaker 6: Well, uh, not to beat a dead horse, because I
- 14:14Speaker 6: don't want to summon Frank back from his duties. But
- 14:19Speaker 6: I was thinking about it as I'm chilling here in
- 14:22Speaker 6: my nightmare before Christmas Jenny's. I got to ask Carrie. Yes,
- 14:28Speaker 6: I got to ask Carrie, is Diehard a Christmas movie
- 14:32Speaker 6: or not?
- 14:33Speaker 1: It's both.
- 14:37Speaker 6: Both? Look, okay, so it's a Christmas movie. Then what else?
- 14:40Speaker 1: Is an action movie?
- 14:42Speaker 4: It happens to be an action movie that that happens
- 14:45Speaker 4: to be set Okay.
- 14:48Speaker 6: Okay, Like I was just confused for a second when
- 14:51Speaker 6: you said both. I was like, wait, but is this
- 14:53Speaker 6: other thing that I'm missing?
- 14:55Speaker 7: It's both a Christmas movie and a Halloween movie or
- 14:57Speaker 7: a nightmare?
- 14:58Speaker 5: And yeah, I enjoy Christmas time.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Thanks Mandy, Marty.
- 15:03Speaker 6: Thank you have a wonderful morning, it says Mandy.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Here. Yeah, let's go to Jed. Jed, good morning, what
- 15:12Speaker 1: what's up?
- 15:12Speaker 10: Good morning? I am chronically bad at figuring out Halloween
- 15:17Speaker 10: costumes for Halloween parties.
- 15:19Speaker 8: But my wife is not.
- 15:21Speaker 10: My wife is going as a vampire and I'm going.
- 15:23Speaker 10: I'm going with her, and I am supposedly supposed to
- 15:29Speaker 10: be a vampire hunter. But now we're looking at less
- 15:32Speaker 10: than forty eight hours till this Halloween party, and I
- 15:35Speaker 10: have nothing. I'm looking for some help in figuring out.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Some very well, what would make a vampire hunter costume.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Or something different?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yes?
- 15:46Speaker 10: Or something different? I'm opened to another sedestion.
- 15:48Speaker 5: How about a Red Cross blood donation worker.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Why don't you go as a victim drained of all
- 15:55Speaker 4: your blood?
- 15:56Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 15:57Speaker 6: Well, you know what?
- 15:57Speaker 7: What? What kind of vampire is she going to be?
- 16:01Speaker 7: Is she a Dracula or Buffy or what?
- 16:05Speaker 4: I think?
- 16:07Speaker 10: I think more like Buffy. She's a big Buffy fan.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Huh.
- 16:13Speaker 4: If you want to go as a vampire hunter, all
- 16:15Speaker 4: you gotta do is get yourself garlic, a mallet, a steak,
