Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: guy here in Las Vegas, getting ready for week two preseason Raiders, Niners, Niners TV, filling in for Greg Papa again this week.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: So traveled with the team here on Wednesday and went to joint practice today with the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I am a sad to report embarrassed to reports the better word that I'd forgotten about the strength of the sun.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it's going to be a hundred degrees at nine a.m.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: so what?
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: I can handle that.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: I've been in much hotter, went to Fresno State, grew up in Davis, Fresno, you know, it was one-thirteen, something like that.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: No biggie.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'd forgotten about the strength.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: of the rays from the sun without a clown, the sky, that's what really gets you.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm waiting to see if we got to wait and see, Friday, how do I look?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: Does the, am I burned?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Does it calm down?
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: I had my, for those of you watching on YouTube, I've got the miniature version of my spotting board with me, which served as some sunblock and note-taking.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: And so we'll find out the peak carol effect.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's a very, I was not here for any practices with Josh McDaniels.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was not here last year in Tonyo Pierce, you know, the word at the McDaniels era was you couldn't see anything.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Again, some of the fans, you don't really care about what the media got to see, but the point is just there was clearly a different vibe.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Very energetic.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: We were allowed essentially full run of the place and early on.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: one of the first things that the raiders did was they came out there as a team that like run it over the bags and one of their coaches is holding he's got like a peat carol fat hit like a huge you see basketball they hold it up in you know student sections of basketball again this huge picture peat carols face and it's stuck to a board
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: And the guy is like, bouncing it in front of everybody's face, every player is they run through and pizza right in the middle of the thing.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: If he told me peek gets run over by somebody, because he's on the field with not shock me.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: He looks fantastic, energy level sky high.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I think they, you know, he's got something to prove.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: The Raiders have something to prove.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: The Raiders have players with stuff to prove when he most are, by the way, on the Raiders.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Tomorrow, Adam's running around playing.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: safety.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, so they, you know, as a team, they got some to prove.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: And they, I think they practiced like it.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: They, those couple scuffles, Niners didn't really get into it.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: They did a good job of thought resisting.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: And they can't afford it.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: Kyle Shanahan said afterwards, and they cannot afford, he told his guys,
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: show your toughness by not getting kicked out of practice because your position group is too thin, you can't afford it.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think a couple of things.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Every forty-nine of us practice that I watch, and I've used this way of talking about it like there's a line.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: I use this example a lot actually.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: People asked me,
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, you know, who's your favorite broadcaster?
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, there's so many.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: There are, let's start with one thing.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: There's a line and some people are above the line and some people are below the line.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just start with that line of like, who's a big time pro?
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: And, um, and I, and I thought about that watching that as practice, you know, for the last several weeks, months, OTAs.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: is you watch Christian McCaffrey practice boom above the line no brainer right you watch George Kittle practice Fred Warner above the line Ricky Pierce all is looking now every day like above the line guy which he should be was a first round pick but it doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna move and be in the right play make put me made a couple explosive plays today in the passing game and
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: If you didn't know anything, if you'd not, if I told you, hey, that guy right there were number one, he caught, he caught eighty balls last year for the Niners.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: You'd be like, okay, I can see it, watching practice, right?
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: You come out to a practice, you don't know anything.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like, who's, who am I supposed to be watching here?
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think you'd believe it.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that's not actually doing it.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's not doing it at a game.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: But your first question would be like, somebody for the Niners-Cardini Balls?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I would.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, seventy-five, and that was a big deal.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: But you get the point.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I just think every time we get to watch, he's been such a bright spot for them.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Every practice.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like somebody gets hurt.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing major, but today's CJ West.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: Hyper extended his knee.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: similar to Michael Williams in the joint practice with Denver a week ago.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Once Michael coming back, you know, CJ West, if Michael's not back in a week, is he going to be able to play by the charger game at?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: At this point, I guess no, but I don't know.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: But it's actually positive news.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Could have been worse ACL's fine.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Walked off.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like Michael walked off.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: So, bad news and good news, I guess is how you would categorize that.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Bosa, Nick Sorn, has worked out on the side that I think as I'm preparing for this game and go through my spotting board, somebody tell me in the comments, I don't normally ask for opinions on topics.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: What are some things you like to hear me talk about?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'll just talk about what I want to talk about, and hopefully it's, I know what it is, but tell me in the comments, would you,
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: be interested in a tour of a spotting board.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: A forty-nineers spotting board.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I would do that next week for the charge of game.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: A few guys are interested in that.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody said maybe any mother like who cares.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Tell us about the TV stuff and I'm like okay that okay I'll tell you but I don't you know.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be too self-indulgent with that stuff so.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: But for me what matters like who's playing?
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: Is Brock playing and
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: What Kyle said he wants him to play.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you know, you look at the last three preseason we can't look at because the first one Brock was not in that he wasn't the starting quarterback right.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then in twenty three he comes out he plays in the second and the third preseason game.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: But he was also coming off the elbow and maybe you thought like we got to get him in a game.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: And even then it wasn't a lie through five attempts and nine attempts in those two games.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: But then last year he did it again.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: Last year the Saints week two of the preseason.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: He makes six throws no Trent Williams and then comes back in the third preseason game makes twelve throws in that in that greater preseason game.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you know, no Trent.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: And what's Max Krauseby trying to prove on the other end, pleasants, like who's playing?
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know yet.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's part of the conversation for Kyle as it relates to Brock.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: But it sounds like Brock likes to play.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think even if he goes out there and hands the ball off, hands the ball off, quick throw, that's it, or maybe you have a good driving it.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's more about
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I think anybody can probably identify with this is just you you want to get you you you you can't duplicate the preparation on a day or not playing because you know you're not playing on a day you are playing
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: Now your body's activating even a little more adrenaline than it did for the joint practice and you're putting all the effort in to really prepare and you've got to protect yourself and you've got to protect your teammates and you've got to study.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think from that, that seems to be some of the value.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's not about getting out there and shaking off the rust with a throw.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's more with the joint practices for, but I do think it's more about that, like running through the tunnel, getting your mind right, jogging onto the field, just getting, and obviously the third preseason, but so when you do it in Seattle week one, it's not the first time you've, you've done that.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: As for the Raiders, Pete Carroll said, everybody's live, quote unquote, he was asked or the starters going to play, he said everybody's live.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you know, that's a P dancer.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like maybe that means everybody's live.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that means everyone's playing.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not exactly sure.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds like it.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: But I think anyone that's been around football for a long time, you know, that sometimes the football conchaser on Thursday changes a little bit by Saturday.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll see.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they got some interesting players.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously the running back you want to see.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: You want to see
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Alfred Collins with Ash and Gentie.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Alfred Collins is a guy and everyone was not everyone.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: There was some concern.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't participate in OTAs.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't fully healthy.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: Then he comes back and he's ramping up and it's not going as great as you wanted to go for your second round.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: Pickin' all that.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: I will say this.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: It does feel like he's just better every time you watch him.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: And so when I think about what's interesting on Saturday, he's very near the top of the list.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Does it just look a little bit?
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to have it fully figured out.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think Nick Martin's in that category, right?
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot of stuff.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: They said it.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: They got a lot of good tape, a thing to get better at.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: But he operates at such a speed.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: He processes any reacts.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: And you just want it to be a little bit better.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then you want it to be a little bit better.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then you want it to be a little bit better.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's all of us in life.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: You just, when you play toe, when you stop improving, when you stop caring, that's when, you know, girlfriends break up with you.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: But when you just, you try to get better, you're making progress.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's early.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: You're trying to get to a destination.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get there overnight.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: This is really, really hard.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: This is the one percenters.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Although the ninety-two percenters I did watch, I spent some of my Thursday morning before watching.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't finished.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: I really, can I tell you this?
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: If you watched, I mean, yes, you did.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: You did.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: You watched it.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: The Taylor Swift, the Kelsey Brothers, I enjoyed it.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: But I would like, who would I want to watch?
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Martin.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Alfred Collins, who else is on this list?
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, up, I can't wait to see up and stout.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Marky Seagull.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Marky Seagull'd be another guy.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give you a sneaky name to watch.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: How does, how does so much was made?
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: of the forty-nineers drafting junior bergen in the seventh round a returner eight touchdowns at the FCS level the FCS record not the FBS record the FBS record is nine held by trivia question trivia question trivia question trivia question forty-nineers draft pick don't they pet us but so much was made when the nineers drafted junior bergen of like hey
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: They let Brampoir have a pick.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they let Brampoir have a pick.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's easier to let a guy have a pick in the seventh round than to let him pick a guy for the fifty-three-manoroster when he's especially.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's easy like in the seventh round.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now we got who's going to who's going to apply?
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think there's a really interesting thing going on where it feels like, okay, Corey Keiner, who's really interesting running back prospect and it's looked good.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he can be a return guy on kickoff, who can be your punt returner, does it have to be Junior Bergen?
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: Or would Bramp Boyer go, there was a play early last week, Thomas Morston Punned, the play before the forty-nine or the punt before the forty-nine has got the Broncos bone mix to throw the ball away from the end zone, intentional ground and safety two points.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: So that's series.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Morston Punned down to the ten.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: And if the end of the play was fair caught, the guy all around it was thirty-three saran nail.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's very interesting to me.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Because, and he's the kind of guy where it's like, this is the, he's like, you want to, you want to, what do you want to lock it on?
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the third quarter, no, watch thirty-three on special teams.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: He has played over two thousand special team steps in his career.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's only missed two games in seven years.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: He played last year in Miami.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: He was in Buffalo for six years.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: okay now he doesn't play as much in other way like Troy Brown you know Troy Brown's not a good example who's the guy who's the uh it's not Troy Brown who's the long to mount Matthew Slater Matthew Slater the long time special teams age is like a captain for the Patriots
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, this, where else to surround, they'll play?
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: Is he just a specialist?
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: And do you have a spot on a fifty-three-man roster for a team to speed up for a specialist cover guy?
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: Well, how much better than your other cover guys is he?
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: How much better than your other returners is Junior Bergen?
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Can you put somebody else back there on Pond?
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, we could put Ricky Pierce all back there on point.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I want to put Ricky Pierce all back there on point.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: The receiver group is too thin to me.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: So like to me that is one of the really interesting, I don't, that's not an answer, but that is a question I think that you have to be asking as you're trying to look at this roster.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: Um, eighty six, the thief is he going to, is he going to, is he going to, is he going to, is he one of your best receivers?
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: He has to be, if he's going to be one of your, when I say one of your best, I just mean like good enough to make your roster.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're, if you're going well, I don't know, you know, he's the one thing you notice he's not, but he's a huge, can he get open?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: What does Kyle Shanahan you think, care more about?
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: I just thought of this.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: The return game or the cover game?
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: If what do you actually forget about what is Kyle?
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: What do you care about more?
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: As somebody who's, well, if you've watched a lot of the forty-nine, there's being better, returns are being better at coverage.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: I know my answer.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: being better at coverage.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to be better at returns too, but being better at coverage.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: We can wave the arm fair catch it, take that ball at wherever they put, you know, just catch it.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the other thing with Junior Burger.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like you don't have them off on Saturday, right?
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's just the line.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Those two guys are great example.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: Just how thin the line is at the back end of the roster.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: So there's, hopefully that's an off the radar.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: thing to watch, and maybe I should have put that at the beginning of the video.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see, let me look at my board here, what else?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, line battles, interesting.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: Backward, backward, then I just played the Super Bowl.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I just played some crazy games here.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Super Bowl was a crazy game.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: The preseason game against the Raiders last year had that crazy finish where the knives were thrown on the ball over the place at the end.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: Trying to score.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just looking at my boards.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: Those you listen to this and don't know.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: Can't see me.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I do want to comment, reiterate, because it's been a while.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: I understood, this is non-liners, I understood why teams did not want to draft Shidorah Sanders.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: I also think that he might be good.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a fast processor.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a crazy athlete, but whatever.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: You start making, once you get past the top three quarterbacks, you're the top ten in some of these drafts.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: you're not getting total packages anyway.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's, so here's Cleveland.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Can he pick it?
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's got a hamstring.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: Shoulder Sanders got no bleak.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: Dylan Gabriel has a hamstring.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Flack was not going to play the only other.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: They got, can he pick it?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: And, uh, well, can he pick it?
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: They got Tyler Huntley.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: They got all these quarterbacks.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: If I were them, I'd keep Flacco, Shouldower, and Delengabriel, that doesn't seem to be a hard decision.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then maybe one of them takes over for Flacco, and the other one's the backup, or one of them takes over for Flacco, and just isn't good enough.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the odds that both Shouldower and Delengabriel are good enough, or maybe one of them gets traded, you know.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: But I would not keep Kenny Pickett over the two of them.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: But he, Dylan Gabriel and Shoulder Sanders have to show you enough that you feel like, okay, they can be QB-two of something more to happen to Flacco.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, have it a number two or a number three quarterback.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's just such a luxury.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Niners have one in Mac Jones.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, I'm not one.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: I know there was some of this like, God, we're so much as being made.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: Why is everybody talking about should do it?
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Why not?
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he might be their quarterback soon.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: He might be their Joe Flacco could get hurt tomorrow.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: That is a real quarterback battle, Dylan Gabriel, Joe Flacco, or Dylan Gabriel, should or Sanders.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: And mostly, forget about all the other noise.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: I want to, like, I watch him in college a lot.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think he might be good.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: I want to find out.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see if he can play.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, here's a trivia question for you.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: In the last, this is, I'll give you some stuff.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: Let me look at the board here.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: Something on the board, trivia question.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: This is a, this is a genosmith trivia question.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: In the last twenty five years, there have only been two drafts where there was one first round quarterback.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Last twenty five years.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: They've only been two drafts where there was only one quarterback taken in the first round.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Can we pick it in twenty twenty two was the only quarterback taken in the first round.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: And in Geno's draft.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: There was only one genome was not a first rounder.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: Geno was who was the first rounder in Geno's draft and this is I'm glad I went over this with you because I didn't write down the year, but this would have been like
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what year would this have been?
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: This, uh, two thousand and maybe eleven, two thousand twelve draft.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: The answer is E.J.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: Manual.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we can also make it, uh, two out of the last, that's one of the two times it's happened.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it's happened twice to twenty five years.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: If we go back to ninety eight, it's happened four times.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: One of them, I don't, both of the other two times, I don't, I didn't write down, I don't remember who the first round or was.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I remember in one of those two drafts, who the second quarterback taken was, and one of them was Giovanni Carmasi.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: So you can tell I've been down the football reference.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Rabbit Hall, it's my favorite rabbit hole to go down.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: I've mentioned this before in talking about great pop in it's I just thought of it and I want to mention it again.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think I said a few weeks ago when I get asked people you know you go to a block party or a neighbor's house and somebody's there and you get asked about when you work in this line of business you get asked about other people who are
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: people like all was this person like with that person's like, and what I said at the time was people don't ask how Greg is they just go Greg Pop is awesome, isn't he?
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of a, you see his, he is cool, right?
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: And the answer is yes.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm very aware of it, but it was cool, like I was on the Nighter's team plane coming out here on Wednesday.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: And the staff on the plane wants to know, how is Greg?
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: How is Greg?
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: We miss him.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: people around the team traveling party house Greg.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: People the Raiders of course of course.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: House Greg so anyway I just want to share with you that everybody's wondering and rooting for him and hoping missing him that's what I'm trying to say everyone's missing everyone's texting him and missing him and
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when people are who you want them to be, who you hope they are, it's people you can look up to.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's a wonderful thing.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I know
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: The sports world is filled with, because I've seen him.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: People were just like, ran into, ran into Greg, here's a photo.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: And you guys hold and bear or something.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: And that's cool.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I know a lot of you know that, because, you know, he's been such a fixture, like really in the part of all of these barrier communities and the sports community that, um, that a lot of you know that already, but
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to say it, so anyway.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's what's up from Vegas on Thursday.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to go to some neat.
