- 0:06What up, what up, what up? What's going on?
- 0:10Same old same, I'm Six Mill, keeping it true. What, KG?
- 0:16Welcome to episode 19 of For The Fam Podcast.
- 0:22Listen up, people. I would say 19A.
- 0:2719A, I'm with you. we're we're
- 0:30we're doing something a little different today y'all because the uh
- 0:33weather event that we're experiencing this inclement
- 0:36weather that's plaguing most of the united states
- 0:39at this time we're recording remote or
- 0:43remotely however you want to say that so bear
- 0:47with us this is our first time so if if there's a issue with the intro music
- 0:53that may be why but but with all of that being said we're we're just gonna get
- 0:58into it we're gonna record and uh bring you guys another informative and exciting episode.
- 1:07All right so what you want to get into today my brother,
- 1:12We want to talk about I not talking about the weather of an outside.
- 1:17Hey, I think Washington, D.C.
- 1:22I think everybody is talking about ice at this point and not the weather related ice.
- 1:31But yeah, the the rogue agency that's just wreaking havoc on the United States.
- 1:37So we've compiled
- 1:41a list of questions that I
- 1:44think are like just general misnomers about ICE that we want to answer for you
- 1:50guys and just sort of close the gap so everyone is aware of what ICE's core
- 1:57responsibilities are and some of the restrictions,
- 2:02if you will,
- 2:05related to ICE and their duties.
- 2:08So you want you want me to begin brother or you
- 2:12want to you want me to start and you want you want me to answer questions first
- 2:15you can go ahead we'll get it started you want all right cool cool cool all
- 2:21right question number one what year was ice formed and what was their original objective,
- 2:31They were formed in 03 under the DHS umbrella after 9-11, kind of like a,
- 2:37even though it was two years after, it was kind of like an ant to 9-11 to basically
- 2:42centralize everything into one organization,
- 2:45Border Patrol, you know, to help out with enforcement.
- 2:52Man okay cool cool cool so basically ice was formed as an answer to 9-11 it
- 3:02it was a direct result from 9-11 basically yes yeah it was well the i mean obviously we had,
- 3:11enforcement previously but 9-11 they decided to handle everything in one the
- 3:19one dhsm which is why we're getting the issue now where we've got ICE agents
- 3:23and Border Patrol agents roaming the streets of Minnesota.
- 3:29So once again, they used quote unquote safety as a way to restrict some of our
- 3:38civil liberties and freedoms.
- 3:40Correct. Because, you know, as I think I mentioned previously, you know,
- 3:45our children were born into a world where certain things, you know,
- 3:49they couldn't go through security at the airport with or without whereas with
- 3:54us, shoot, man, you could carry on bag with lotion,
- 3:59soap, perfume, cologne,
- 4:02pocket nice.
- 4:04You do any of that, you going to jail.
- 4:09It's not funny considering what happened during 9-11, but that's kind of weird to say that now.
- 4:18Yeah, it truly is. It truly is.
- 4:23But you are also right in that there was not this heightened security when it
- 4:30came to airplanes before 9-11.
- 4:35So take it for what it's worth. Question two, compared to other law enforcement
- 4:42agencies, how long does an ICE agent train and is it adequate?
- 4:49At one point, it was adequate.
- 4:52Now, in my opinion, it is not, because as we discussed previously,
- 4:58that they've lowered it to the 47 days to honor the 47th president.
- 5:04It's weird and crazy saying it out loud.
- 5:07Oh, in the past, yes, they've had adequate training as far as,
- 5:12you know, with firearms training, de-escalation training, civil rights training,
- 5:17whereas now they're forcing people out on the streets after 47 days.
- 5:21And it's become very clear that the only thing they're working on is how to
- 5:24pull out their gun and to be assholes.
- 5:27Let's do some quick math. Mm hmm. How many days are in a week? Seven.
- 5:35Seven multiplied by six is how much 42 so these guys are barely getting six weeks of training,
- 5:46because i'm sure some of those days are sitting in the classroom listening
- 5:50to somebody talk yeah how how can you learn and i mean like to be on the street
- 5:59i would i would say you would have to be somewhat of an expert to know which
- 6:04laws you're supposed to enforce,
- 6:07how can you learn that within six weeks?
- 6:12No, no, exactly. I'm just kind of like taken aback by the license to kill.
- 6:22Right. After after a six week training course, you have a license to kill.
- 6:27I mean, I think one could argue that a security guard gets more training than
- 6:35six weeks or, you know, close to it.
- 6:41I just think that that's really reckless.
- 6:46Well, FBI agents are 18 to 20 weeks of training.
- 6:52Now, you don't see FBI agents roaming the streets and camping and bulletproof vests and so forth.
- 7:00So what you're telling me is that I could just come off the streets.
- 7:04Like right now, at my age, right now, I could apply for it and within 47 days
- 7:09be out on the streets with a pistol, dressed up like I'm going to war,
- 7:14which is always the lefties, those dudes dressed up, and just be out there.
- 7:20I don't have to have any formal training on de-escalation. As I mentioned,
- 7:25civil rights, to deal with the communities that you're in because they're treating
- 7:29everybody the same no matter what communities they go in because all they hear
- 7:33is, oh, there's a lot of Democrats here.
- 7:35Let's own the libs. Dude, get the hell out of here.
- 7:39I agree. And I think that's part of the cause and effect as to why we're in
- 7:48such perilous times, why we're in such unconditional circumstances,
- 7:52for lack of a better term.
- 7:54All right. Question three.
- 7:59Does ICE have the authority to enforce traffic violations?
- 8:05Technically no so in the traditional sense
- 8:09that you know that you know you get pulled over for speed
- 8:12and so on and so forth no they do not however what
- 8:16they've done is if there's a there's an icy vent you know like if there's a
- 8:22a thing operation what's going on in minnesota because pretty much the entire
- 8:27city of minnesota is under siege so it's why am i why is the word escape.
- 8:33Oh, Jesus, a federal investigation.
- 8:36If it's a federal investigation, which what they're considering is what's going
- 8:41on, they have absolute authority to stop people.
- 8:45Now, obviously, they can't issue speeding tickets and things of that nature,
- 8:49but since that whole city is basically under federal control for the most part,
- 8:54they can do whatever they want.
- 8:57Here's why I asked that question. With Renee Good They said that she was blocking traffic.
- 9:07At that point, should they not just have called the local police and have them
- 9:15issue her a ticket and say, ma'am, please move your vehicle,
- 9:21thus de-escalating the entire situation, and perhaps this woman would still be alive today?
- 9:28Well, you know what's funny with that is that if you look at that video,
- 9:32when the cop released the video like an idiot thinking that it exonerated him,
- 9:36it basically showed her being kind to him less than 10 seconds before he shot her. Correct.
- 9:43Think about that. She wasn't being a jerk. She wasn't being sarcastic when she
- 9:47was talking to him. She was actually telling him sorry.
- 9:50I'm not mad at you. And 10 seconds later, right, I'm not mad at you.
- 9:53And 10 seconds later, he shot her. It's crazy.
- 9:57Good luck in a couple of years when you're on trial for murder. Good luck. Correct.
- 10:02Correct. Correct. Which we'll get back around to that later in this conversation.
- 10:08Question four, and this goes actually into what we were just talking about.
- 10:14When are ICE agents allowed to discharge their weapons according to DHS regulations?
- 10:22Oh, and according to that, it has to be an imminent threat of death.
- 10:27There is bodily harm, deadly force is a reward.
- 10:33That's also a playbook for local police, state police, the federal.
- 10:38We've seen in our lifetime where they can just pick and choose.
- 10:42Oh, my life's in danger even though someone's 30 feet away and their life is in danger.
- 10:49We saw this shit go with McDonald. We saw it with, you know,
- 10:54far away was that cop from him when he shot him?
- 10:56Well, he had a knife and he was charging at me. Like, dude, he was 30 feet away from you.
- 11:00Correct. Right. And walking, walking away, to be honest.
- 11:05But, but you know, bonus, bonus, bonus question.
- 11:10Before this administration, was it customary for ICE agents to actually carry guns?
- 11:18Good question. I don't I don't ever hear. I never heard. Never heard of them out there.
- 11:24And we've seen them literally or pistols and point pistols at people as they're
- 11:32driving away from them. Correct.
- 11:35Correct. These guys are out here suited and booted like they're going to war. Automatic rifles.
- 11:43Before this administration, you barely even seen ice in that capacity.
- 11:49They're really weird Alright, question five Could America, could the United
- 11:55States Enforce immigration laws Without an ICE agency?
- 12:01Yes Basically what that would entail Is them taking those organizations That
- 12:07are all grouped under one umbrella And spreading them back out Basically pre-9-11
- 12:13It would just be pre-9-11 and they would just have to distribute the funds to different places.
- 12:20Now, I can't speak with factual information with this, but I don't believe that
- 12:27you would see Border Patrol this far inward.
- 12:32I don't think you would see Border Patrol where we're from like we did a couple months ago.
- 12:38You wouldn't see it because normally Border Patrol only enforces within 100 miles of a border.
- 12:44How many? here? A hundred miles.
- 12:49A hundred miles. Yeah. I mean, that's what I always, you know,
- 12:55I always say like when, because I've seen people argue about it in Texas where,
- 12:59someone get pulled over on social media a couple years ago and she was upset
- 13:03because she's like, we're not even near the border.
- 13:05And the cop was like, man, we have jurisdiction within a hundred miles of any border in this country.
- 13:10And I remember her arguing with him about it and I looked it up and sure enough,
- 13:14it was within 100 miles, they can set up checkpoints, they can check papers and so on and so forth.
- 13:20Now, I'm not saying it's right, but I mean...
- 13:24I don't know if Chicago was within 100 miles of the Canadian border.
- 13:28I don't think so. It isn't.
- 13:32Yeah, I don't think so. I don't think Minnesota is either.
- 13:39I could be wrong on that, but I don't think so.
- 13:42I don't think Minneapolis is either. No.
- 13:47Just a free for all. yeah with that
- 13:51being said really there's only like two directional
- 13:54borders to protect right north and south
- 13:57i mean because east and west that's the
- 14:00ocean pacific ocean atlantic ocean military is protecting that correct correct
- 14:07all right cool all right those those are uh some of the questions that we have
- 14:12uh we got a few more if you guys would bear with this so go ahead my brother, the floor is yours.
- 14:18So how does ICE coordinate with local and state law enforcement and where do
- 14:23conflicts generally arise?
- 14:26All right. ICE coordinates with local agencies, primarily through something called detainers.
- 14:34Detainers are requests asking local jails to hold an individual for up to 48
- 14:41hours, two days after their scheduled release so ICE can take custody.
- 14:48Now, where does the jurisdictional friction occur?
- 14:51Well, it usually occurs in sanctuary cities, and that basically just means that
- 14:57those cities refuse to honor ICE detainers or they limit information sharing.
- 15:04And to make a long story short, they just aren't willing to work with ICE in that capacity.
- 15:12Also, though, there's also another
- 15:16conflict that happens or friction if
- 15:19you will and that's when ICE just
- 15:23kind of dumps detainees I
- 15:26guess I should say dumps them
- 15:29in local jails and then you have
- 15:32an overcrowding and overpopulation issue
- 15:36and local jails basically don't have the budget to support it So there's also
- 15:43friction there with them getting reimbursed from the federal government as it
- 15:49relates to budget and housing, et cetera.
- 15:54And sometimes they just release these people because they can't hold them.
- 15:58So there's also that type of friction that occurs.
- 16:04Number two, what oversight mechanisms exist to investigate misconduct or abuse of power within ICE?
- 16:15First, let me say, and I think this is the most important oversight, the people.
- 16:22The people are the best source of oversight.
- 16:28So, and we'll get into this later, but we wouldn't have the video of Alex Preddy
- 16:35getting killed yesterday without the people.
- 16:38We wouldn't have the video of Renee Good getting shot and killed without the people.
- 16:46So the people are the best source of oversight at this moment in time.
- 16:51But traditionally, we have the Office of Professional Responsibility,
- 16:59ICE's internal unit that investigates employee misconduct and detention facility standards.
- 17:05We have the DHS Office of Inspector General, an independent body that audits
- 17:12ICE operations and investigates systemic fraud, waste, or abuse.
- 17:17We have the Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, which investigates
- 17:23complaints regarding violations of constitutional rights and profiling.
- 17:27And then we have Congress, which can hold hearings, etc., etc.
- 17:36Some follow ups for these, but we'll know we'll get to them.
- 17:42So how does ICE determine enforcement priorities and how do they change?
- 17:50Basically, the executive branch, they just follow orders.
- 17:55So whatever president is in office what his position is as far as immigration,
- 18:05supposedly is supposed to be ice's position as well so if you have a president
- 18:11that doesn't treat it as a top priority then ice technically should not treat
- 18:17it as a top priority how often does that change?
- 18:22Well, it changes with every new administration.
- 18:25It changes with every new president.
- 18:29Or, truth be told, it can change tomorrow if President Dumble just decides to
- 18:37stop all of this. It'll stop.
- 18:40So it's totally dependent on the president at this point. On his mood.
- 18:46On his mood, essentially. Or Stephen Miller's mood. Depending on who you want to believe.
- 18:53Number four, what role does ICE play in deportation proceedings versus detention operations?
- 19:01ICE manages a network of federal, private, and local jail facilities to house
- 19:08non-citizens while they wait for their court dates or for their travel documents to be processed.
- 19:15Yes, ISIS enforcement and removal operations coordinates the actual physical exit from the U.S.,
- 19:23which includes securing travel documents from the home country and arranging
- 19:29air or ground transport.
- 19:33You know what this doesn't say?
- 19:36Send them to Seacott. Send them to a country that they're not familiar with,
- 19:42that they're not from, and place them in detention centers or torture facilities,
- 19:48if you want to call it that.
- 19:50That is not a responsibility of ICE. Number five, does ICE's budget compared
- 19:58to other DHS agencies, what does it rebuild?
- 20:05This one was shocking, and I think it'll be shocking for a lot of you guys listening as well.
- 20:11ICE gets a larger portion than the FBI, DEA, and Secret Service combined.
- 20:24And the budget suggests that this is a top priority for this administration
- 20:32And because of the big beautiful bill Their money is already or has already
- 20:40been guaranteed Now there is a vote.
- 20:44Senate vote because the House already passed a bill to fund ICE or DHS.
- 20:51And there's a vote coming up in the Senate, I guess, when we get through this weather system.
- 20:57So later on this week, the Senate will vote whether to reject the bill completely.
- 21:03And then it goes back to the House, and hopefully these seven Democrats that
- 21:10voted to pass will have a come-to-Jesus moment and vote not to fund this bill.
- 21:18I mean, there's not a whole lot that can be done at this point because Republicans
- 21:26control all three branches of government,
- 21:29But a good start would be to withhold their funding and not reward them with
- 21:37more money to operate and kill people.
- 21:40Correct. Yeah, when you mentioned that, we were looking up these answers and
- 21:45just kind of going over some things.
- 21:47When I saw them, shit, you got to be.
- 21:50But then when they realized that they're just traveling the country,
- 21:53renting cars and doing whatever the hell they want to do, of course they're going to do a lot more.
- 21:58Correct correct written written
- 22:01cars renting hotels and and
- 22:04i mean like they're probably being reimbursed for their uh play uniforms that
- 22:10they're ordering off of amazon uh i i heard i don't know how true this is but
- 22:19i heard that they actually get like a bonus for every arrest that they make.
- 22:25Which again gives them the incentive to not get it right, but to just make as
- 22:35many arrests as possible.
- 22:36So definitely a quantity over quality type atmosphere.
- 22:45All right. So with that with that being said, guys, we're just going to roll
- 22:50right into our current events because I think we both just want to continue
- 22:57this conversation as it pertains to ICE. So go ahead, my brother. Take it away.
- 23:03I just want to like just mention, you know, especially, you know,
- 23:06yesterday with the shooting and the continued propaganda nonsense that they're
- 23:13spewing, even going into this morning.
- 23:15Where Vino has been on. I think he was on with, what's her name?
- 23:19Dana Bash. Mm-hmm. Oh, yes, yes. But Vino.
- 23:24Yeah, yeah. And just, you know, the fact that, you know, thankfully she pushed
- 23:28back. She says, so basically you're just disputing the video.
- 23:31Because I guess I can't, like, do they think that, like, our TVs are just all
- 23:36black? Like, our eyes don't work?
- 23:39Like, it amazes me the amount of bullshit that is being spewed because, I mean, let's be real.
- 23:47This is what generations of dictators have done, you know, whether it be Germany,
- 23:54whether it be Italy, so on and so forth.
- 23:56They do something, then they tell you that you're wrong in what you're seeing.
- 24:00Now, this isn't new to the United States because, hell, we've been seeing that
- 24:03shit, you know, from, you know, Philando Castile in Minnesota when he was shot
- 24:09and so on and so forth. Well, no, no, no, he was reaching for his gun.
- 24:11No, he wasn't. But yet somehow that narrative stuck, even after so many people
- 24:17came out to say that he was the kindest, sweetest, nicest man.
- 24:21All the kids at the school he worked at loved him. But somehow,
- 24:25even after his death, it still stuck.
- 24:28It was his fault he was dead. And it seems like they're pulling the same nonsense now.
- 24:33This guy is an ICU nurse at the VA hospital.
- 24:38You're telling me all of a sudden he decided to show up? No,
- 24:40no, he showed up with his gun because he has a legal right to carry it.
- 24:45He had two clips. He had two loaded magazines. Okay.
- 24:48I live in central Indiana. You know how many times I see people walking around
- 24:51with a gun with two or three clips on it?
- 24:53And often, very often, it's not illegal to carry a gun in Minnesota.
- 25:02It's an open-carry state.
- 25:04And he had his permit. Correct. So the fact that he had a gun is pretty much irrelevant.
- 25:12But, and here's the
- 25:15thing people if you watch the video closely you
- 25:19can see one of the agents actually removed
- 25:23the gun from his person before he
- 25:28is shot one of those ICE agents took the gun so at the moment that whoever pulled
- 25:37the trigger that man was unarmed unarmed and pinned to the ground.
- 25:45At no point was he a threat. And pistol whip. You're right. Three times I think
- 25:51that guy swung his pistol at him.
- 25:53Mm-hmm. Hit him three times in the head with a pistol. Correct.
- 25:57You tell me what law enforcement officer with proper training mean ever is to whip somebody.
- 26:06Because I guarantee you the gun was chambered because I'm sure he was probably
- 26:10one of the people right after.
- 26:13You know what also was interesting? They keep saying that he was the instigator.
- 26:19He was actually protecting the woman that they pepper sprayed and pushed to the ground.
- 26:25That's how the whole thing jumped off.
- 26:29It's just, it's nuts, the lies that they tell and the lies that they expect us to believe.
- 26:38And it's like you were saying, we got video evidence. We have video proof. We can see.
- 26:47What type of Jedi mind trick do you think you're pulling on us by telling us
- 26:51that what we've seen didn't really happen?
- 26:54Well, you're not that strong in the Force. So knock it off.
- 27:00That does always make me laugh, though, whenever we see a video released and
- 27:03then you see the narrative from whether it be the local police department or
- 27:08something. You're like, wait a minute.
- 27:09You say, what happened now? So that video I saw was doctored? Like what? Correct.
- 27:15Correct. It is extremely shocking and extremely insulting, in my opinion,
- 27:22to try and explain it away.
- 27:25Yeah. Yeah. And, you know, there's there's there's something else that to just
- 27:30further illustrate how out of control these guys are.
- 27:34Have you seen the videos or the stories from the police chief in Minneapolis
- 27:38saying that his his officers are being harassed when they're out of uniform, when they're off duty?
- 27:47These guys are going up not
- 27:51to white but to officers of
- 27:54color asking them for identification and proof of citizenship an officer of
- 28:02the law is being asked to provide proof of citizenship in the city that they
- 28:10patrol this is unreal you all.
- 28:15Hey, bro, so as you were talking, just came across another angle video that shows when he was shot.
- 28:24His left knee is on the ground, his left hand is on the ground,
- 28:28his leg and right hand not near the ground. And the gun is like six inches from
- 28:34there. Yeah, he was executed.
- 28:38Because, like, they were on top of him, right? well in
- 28:42in this particular still still image from the video they
- 28:46were separated oh yeah dog yeah he
- 28:49was flat out executed yeah yeah
- 28:53yeah it it i
- 28:57don't want i don't anyone i don't want
- 29:00anyone to think or
- 29:04feel like that we're hopeless we're
- 29:07in a hopeless situation here or we're in a helpless a situation because
- 29:11there is hope just like with the civil
- 29:14rights movement and and and there was
- 29:17much denial at first about
- 29:21the uh brutality that was taking place during the
- 29:24marches it it wasn't until the images started showing up on people's televisions
- 29:31it wasn't until the images started to appear in newspapers that people actually
- 29:37started to have some empathy and start to protest and go, enough is enough.
- 29:44I think we're in that moment right now.
- 29:48And I'm sorry to Keith Porter and his family because there's so much emphasis on Renee Good.
- 29:59There's so much emphasis on Alex Preddy, and rightfully so.
- 30:03But the fact that an off-duty ICE agent murdered Keith Porter is not getting
- 30:11the same amount of attention that these other two stories are getting.
- 30:17Is it because Keith Porter is black? I don't know.
- 30:22Is it because that duty was, I mean, that ICE agent was off-duty?
- 30:26I don't know. It doesn't change the fact, in my opinion, though,
- 30:30that an ICE agent murdered a citizen in cold blood.
- 30:38Based on, you know, of course, though, they'll flip this to what they say.
- 30:46They say he was firing a rifle in the air on New Year's Eve.
- 30:49And this ICE agent heard the gunshots and went to investigate,
- 30:54and then saw Keith Porter with the gun and then shot him.
- 30:58And then they're trying to say that he disobeyed a lawful order.
- 31:03And it's just like, dude, you show up around my house without a badge,
- 31:08holding the pistol. I'm not putting my gun down.
- 31:11Again, again, again, that is not ICE's job.
- 31:17Prison, call the local law enforcement. That part, that part right there.
- 31:23Call the local law enforcement and take your ass home.
- 31:28That is not your job to go out there and try and be Elliot Ness and investigate
- 31:32something you have nothing to do with.
- 31:36Honestly, the whole story reeks of Trayvon Martin.
- 31:41You had no business trying to
- 31:45police this man or or
- 31:48whatever you call yourself doing you had no business
- 31:51and no authority doing it and now someone is dead because you took the law into
- 31:57your own hands you decided to be a vigilante and go be billy badass and now
- 32:04someone's dead I truly hope that guy also gets rung up for murder.
- 32:09Absolutely, because yeah, you ain't had no business taking your ass around.
- 32:13Correct. Got a gun in a bag, so I'm going to go around.
- 32:17In what world do federal agents do that? Most federal agents would be like,
- 32:21man, I ain't about to do that.
- 32:24You know how many people are fighting out there shooting? Correct.
- 32:28Correct. I agree. So, before this administration, Yeah.
- 32:34How often would ICE even like leave their leave their office,
- 32:40leave their desk, so to speak?
- 32:42I mean, because it is it's not customary for ICE to be out patrolling every day.
- 32:48Right. I mean, usually ICE doesn't show up to a facility or to your house unless
- 32:54they've already conducted an investigation and they know before they get there
- 33:00who they're looking for and what the situation is.
- 33:04Correct correct yeah you don't you don't have them trolling the streets which is,
- 33:10be honest with you and again i'm not law enforcement i
- 33:14don't know the the particulars but if i'm a local law enforcement in minnesota
- 33:20minneapolis where this is happening yeah you have a problem with me every day
- 33:24this this is my beat these are my streets these are the people that control
- 33:28every day now you come out here turning the people on law enforcement now y'all got the gold, man.
- 33:35Because you got some of those folks that's probably been on that beat for years.
- 33:40Federal agents come in and now the distrust for law enforcement is through the roof.
- 33:44Whereas any goodwill that you've built with law enforcement and you're a cop,
- 33:50you've built good will in that community.
- 33:53Now that ICE is there, all that goodwill has just been completely taken it away.
- 33:58Because those people don't trust you in any way, shape, or form. Correct.
- 34:03You're not getting no help from those people.
- 34:06Because also, what I think is not getting talked about enough,
- 34:09those folks in those communities are sitting back thinking to themselves,
- 34:12like, when is law enforcement going to stick up for us?
- 34:14When is somebody going to fight for us against this tyrannical government?
- 34:20Because let's be real, it is a tyrannical government.
- 34:23Might not be a tyrannical government in the ways that the history books have
- 34:27shown other governments, but tyrannical is tyrannical. It doesn't matter.
- 34:31Just because it's the United States, we're not exempt.
- 34:35I agree. I agree with that assessment. And I, I, oh man,
- 34:42I kind of, I, I kind of can understand some law enforcement or at least to some degree, I should say,
- 34:54being sort of apprehensive about getting involved.
- 35:00I mean because at this point I don't think it would take much to start a civil war with these idiots I,
- 35:08again we've already established that they're out here to escalate they're out here,
- 35:14to instigate the violence in my opinion so I don't think it would be far fetched
- 35:20to think that if local PD did approach these idiots and tell them to pull out
- 35:26that they might try and fire your own local PD Ugh.
- 35:32Yeah, it wouldn't surprise. No. It's like all of this is just so exhausting.
- 35:40Yes. From Trump on down, it is exhausting. You know what, man?
- 35:46I'm about to change subjects, but I'm still going to stick with.
- 35:49Did you hear about this phone call? And I don't know the full story.
- 35:53Barron Trump, when he was in Britain?
- 35:57No. I guess he called because, you know, over there they had 999 instead of 911.
- 36:01I guess something was going on with a friend of his and he was like extremely
- 36:05rude and condescending to the law enforcement and the EMS and everything.
- 36:10And it's made like an international incident that's just not getting the time of day.
- 36:15But apparently he was over there being rude and basically telling them like,
- 36:19do you know who I am type shit? It's like, yep.
- 36:23I'm like, sir, we don't fall too far from the tree.
- 36:27Well, yeah, if that's what you're taught from birth.
- 36:31Why would anyone expect him to behave any differently i i you're you're 100
- 36:35right yeah i'm gonna have to do some more research on it but yeah i saw that
- 36:41they somebody made a big deal i was talking about it late last night and early this morning.
- 36:48Yeah all right cool you feel like we've uh covered that or you feel like you
- 36:53have a little bit more to say,
- 36:56I think we pretty much covered, you know, what we wanted to.
- 37:00But I mean, you know, as well as I do, hell, we could talk about this for hours.
- 37:03Oh, sure. And look, at this current pace, there'll be another big story to cover tomorrow.
- 37:11So whatever.
- 37:14Whatever. All right, y'all. With that being said, we're going to move into our
- 37:19next segment, our rant about a random topic.
- 37:25You got to work, my brother. I do. I do.
- 37:30So my rant is about the city of Chicago.
- 37:36Although my brother and I, you know, my father lives in Illinois,
- 37:41and I spent the majority of my childhood out there.
- 37:44I'm not a Chicago kid. You know, him and I both are from Hammond, Indiana.
- 37:48There are some things that go on that...
- 37:52Affect people we know, and so on and so forth. So I want to talk about what
- 37:56a lot of people consider 75 years as blatant robbery.
- 38:01So back in 2008, Mayor Daley and the city council sold off all the parking meters
- 38:08in the city of Chicago to the tone of $1.15 billion.
- 38:14So the city itself spent all of that money just to plug some of their budget
- 38:19holes that exist before they sold it.
- 38:23And here's where things get insulting. The private company that bought the rights
- 38:27made all of that money back years ago.
- 38:29So I think they said within like a year and a half, they made that $1.15 million back.
- 38:35So since then, hundreds of millions of profit has gone straight into the pockets
- 38:39with the private investors.
- 38:41As of right now, they've already, yeah, they've already banked $2 billion and
- 38:45still have over 50 years left to go on this lease. But it's not the money.
- 38:5150. Yeah. They still have over 50 years left on this lease.
- 38:56But it's not about just the money. It's about this particular deal is handcuffing the city of Chicago.
- 39:02So, for example, if you want to put a bike lane in on a street that has parking
- 39:07meters, you have to pay the company for perceived lost revenue.
- 39:12If you want to hold a street festival, like during the summertime,
- 39:16shut the block down, get neighbors out in the streets on a block that has parking meters,
- 39:21the city has to cut a check to that corporation for the amount of time that
- 39:27the street was closed to basically pay for what they perceived would have been lost money.
- 39:33And this year, the city, there were rumors that the city was going to try to
- 39:37buy those rights back. And of course, the mayor addressed those last week.
- 39:41But I guess the dollar amount was just too great.
- 39:46So the private equity firms was Morgan Stanley and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
- 39:52Already heard me mention it was 75 years. When they went to buy it back,
- 39:57I think they wanted like double A4 originally.
- 40:00They are anticipating that at the end of this loan, at the end of this deal,
- 40:05that the Morgan Stanley and Abu Dhabi group will make anywhere between $15 to
- 40:11$20 billion of the city of Chicago.
- 40:15So I'm sure there are a lot of young residents that don't know about this or
- 40:21realize that none of the money,
- 40:25none of the money from parking in the city of Chicago parking meters going toward the city at all.
- 40:33Now, I was unable to find any type of news article or anything of that nature
- 40:38that shows what Morgan Stanley and Abu Dhabi Group is spending that money on.
- 40:43But I mean, we're not stupid. We know where that money's going.
- 40:46It's going right into buying more real estate and other nonsense.
- 40:50But yeah, so my word is basically, you know, the city of Chicago and Mayor Daley played themselves.
- 40:57But of course, Mayor Daley has a history of 300 people of Chicago all over.
- 41:02Nothing anybody can do about it, unfortunately. A few questions.
- 41:08Mm-hmm. You said the original deal was $1.5 billion with a B?
- 41:15Yeah, $1.15 billion. Yep, what a B.
- 41:19And you said that they're set to make $15 to $20 billion by the end of this deal? Yes.
- 41:27Geez, that's some return on investment. My goodness.
- 41:32They said that they already made that money back years ago, from 2008 to 2026.
- 41:40Now there's still roughly 25 years left, well, 50 years left on the deal.
- 41:46I guess, can you imagine that, man? Can you imagine the city of Indianapolis
- 41:52selling it to the parking meters to the... A foreign entity, first of all.
- 42:00Just say the Riyadh Group, the starting investment fund. Yeah.
- 42:06Man, do you know how fast every politician in this city would be voted out of here?
- 42:11Of course, Mayor Day was about to leave office anyway, so he didn't care. Yeah. Yeah.
- 42:17They've always he he's he's always had like an aura of corruptness that followed him anyway.
- 42:24But Mayor Mayor Brandon doesn't have the authority to break this lease or break this deal.
- 42:32I didn't break it, but they got to pay for it. Oh, okay. It'd be like a breach of contract.
- 42:38Correct. Whereas me personally, I'd be the type of person to be like,
- 42:42yeah, now what you going to do?
- 42:44Yeah. I'm taking five meters back. So what you going to do?
- 42:47Oh, wow. That is, yeah, that's crazy.
- 42:51Yep. It's just highway robbery. And the fact that they pushed this deal through
- 42:57back in 08 in two days, there was no votes.
- 43:01There was nothing. It was just the city council and the mayor got together and
- 43:04was like, all right, y'all want to do it? Yeah, cool. Let's do it.
- 43:06And they did it. They pushed it through. There was no mention of it to the public.
- 43:12Public found out when we all found out. And it came out in the newspaper.
- 43:17Nobody knew. Seems like it would be kind of easy to trace a kickback.
- 43:23You know what I'm saying? Well, yeah, what the city, especially at that time,
- 43:28was struggling budget-wise.
- 43:30So 1.15 billion they just
- 43:34yep and they spent that money
- 43:37so quick it just it blows my mind why you wouldn't just if you needed the money
- 43:43why not just lease not get with these firm lease portions of it you still make
- 43:51money they make money make it 20 years.
- 43:56Who the hell came up with 75 years yeah yeah that is absolutely ridiculous.
- 44:05Yeah alright you finish with that bro yep alright cool I'm going to my work
- 44:12and I'm going to work about injuries,
- 44:19And to be more specific, sports-related injuries.
- 44:24And to be even more specific, injuries to two of my favorite athletes.
- 44:30The first being Bo Jackson. If you're a young'un and you don't know who Bo Jackson is, look him up.
- 44:39The guy was basically Black Panther in real life.
- 44:45And I'm not joking. the
- 44:49scene where Black Panther runs up the wall in
- 44:51the movie Bo Jackson did that on a baseball
- 44:54field I'm not joking look it
- 44:57up the guy was a superhero but the
- 45:01other athlete that I want to talk about is Derrick Rose he is my second favorite
- 45:10Bulls player right after MJ and he had his number retired by the Chicago Bulls last night.
- 45:19And I am just really happy for that young man.
- 45:24Great ceremony, by the way. I end up to watch it. Great ceremony. Yeah.
- 45:30It made it worth it because, in my opinion, the game was terrible.
- 45:34But that's a different story.
- 45:37This kid, because he was a kid when he got injured,
- 45:42was basically on pace to rewrite oh
- 45:48that might be a little bit of a stretch he definitely
- 45:52changed the point guard position in
- 45:56the NBA in my opinion during his
- 46:00era the majority of the point guards that were playing were trying to imitate
- 46:07his style they were trying to be him Kyrie Irving John Wall.
- 46:17Kendra Walker, all of those super athletics. You can even throw Russ in there, in my opinion.
- 46:24All of those athletic scoring guards, in my opinion, were trying to emulate Derrick Rose.
- 46:31I can't throw Steph Curry in there because Steph is Steph. And Steph's game
- 46:36is predicated on ball handling and shooting.
- 46:39And he's one of a kind. He also changed the point guard position.
- 46:44Actually, Steph changed the NBA. But Derrick Rose changed the point guard position.
- 46:50And had this kid not got injured, one of the Bulls probably would have another
- 46:57two or three championships.
- 46:59But he probably would also have two or three MVPs under his belt.
- 47:06This kid was unreal, and he was only getting better. In my opinion,
- 47:12I don't think he ever reached his top potential because of the injuries.
- 47:17So I'm just saying salute to Derrick Rose. Congratulations.
- 47:23I'm proud of you. Well-deserved.
- 47:27And congratulations to the Chicago Bulls for recognizing how special this kid
- 47:33was and retiring his jersey.
- 47:37So now that's, what, four or five?
- 47:41Bulls jerseys that have been retired at this point.
- 47:45Mike, Scottie, Sloan, Butterbean, Bob Love.
- 47:51Yep, so five. So congratulations to D. Rose on your jersey retirement.
- 48:01That's my work. Anything you want to add to that, bro?
- 48:04Nah, man. Only thing that made last night perfect, even though the game wasn't
- 48:09that great, was winning on a buzzer beater. Yeah.
- 48:13That was pretty cool. Hey,
- 48:16I just have to say it, man. I don't know what direction the Bulls are going in.
- 48:23As they think, well, as soon as they resigned, oh, I immediately thought to myself,
- 48:30just, we're stuck in mediocrity. Now, obviously, you know, you understand my
- 48:36frustration on the basketball field, on the basketball court.
- 48:40You know, I'm a White Sox fan. I've been dealing with Jerry Reinsdorf and his
- 48:44idiotic, and he pinched ways pretty much my entire damn life.
- 48:50And you see that in the U.G.
- 48:52Yeah, yeah. What happened when the Cubs decided, hey, enough is enough? They won a title.
- 48:58Correct. But Jerry Reinsdorf, I mean, maybe he's turning the corner.
- 49:02You know, we signed a Japanese player, so I think he'll be great.
- 49:05But it's just a constant penny pinching.
- 49:09We'll never bring those free agents. We should. I mean, who the hell wants to
- 49:15come play for Billy Donovan?
- 49:16Correct. I feel like Billy Donovan is part of the problem.
- 49:22But, yes, you're also right that the Chicago Bulls are known for being notoriously cheap.
- 49:27And that's also one of the reasons why free agents don't come here Correct Nope,
- 49:34I agree with you 110% on that Alright y'all We're going to move right into our
- 49:425 on the Black Hand Side movie review And this week we chose They cloned Tyrone,
- 49:52You want to get into the plot bro or you want me to get into the plot?
- 49:57I can get into it. All right, go ahead.
- 50:01So, the story follows John Boyega, whose name is Fontaine in the movie.
- 50:06He's a drug dealer in a run-down neighborhood called The Glen.
- 50:10His life is pretty much repetitive, just hustle and grief. He is gunned down by,
- 50:18So the next morning, Fontaine wakes up with no memory of dying.
- 50:23He returns to collect a debt from Slick Charles, who's played by Jamie Foxx.
- 50:28Jamie Foxx's character is a pimp. And of course, his sex worker,
- 50:32his name is Yo-Yo, Tiana Paris. Correct.
- 50:36They saw him die. So of course, they're terrified and they watched him die the night before.
- 50:42So the trio start investigating.
- 50:47The mystery as to how the heck he's still alive. So it basically leads them
- 50:51to a hidden elevator under a local trap house.
- 50:54They discover an underground lab where scientists are conducting experiments on black residents.
- 51:00As they fill back the layers, they realize is one of many clones the entire
- 51:06community is being manipulated through a consumer product to maintain harmony and passivity.
- 51:14That's pretty much the bottom Alright, so a couple of scenes that I really
- 51:24really enjoyed from this one I enjoyed when they discovered the underground
- 51:29lair and they ran into the scientists down there listening to Michael Jackson,
- 51:34What was so satisfying?
- 51:37Well, one, because they were playing Michael Jackson Don't Stop Until You Get
- 51:40Enough but the scientist is a white guy with an afro and a goatee he's out there
- 51:47dancing absolutely hilarious and it's hilarious because they pointed out they're
- 51:53like what what's up with this white guy in an afro,
- 51:57but jamie fox discovers this white powdery substance that he assumed is cocaine,
- 52:06He's still with the intent distributing and using at a later date.
- 52:16But something peculiar happens. There's a weird side effect associated with
- 52:22this white powder, with this white substance.
- 52:24It gives you the giggles, basically.
- 52:29So, our three protagonists, our three heroes go have some lunch.
- 52:35And they go to the local chicken shack and Jamie Foxx tells a joke about how
- 52:43he's never seen Fontaine smile in all the years that he's known him and at this
- 52:51point Fontaine starts laughing hysterically.
- 52:57At first, Jamie Foxx doesn't think that this is weird until he looks up and
- 53:02he realizes everyone in the restaurant is laughing hysterically.
- 53:10Why, you might ask, because that same substance that he thought was cocaine
- 53:16is actually one of the ingredients for the chicken.
- 53:20So pink black dynamite and the beer gives you.
- 53:29That's sort of what it reminded me
- 53:33of right that the man quote unquote the man that's been antagonizing black people
- 53:42all these years they're using everyday products to control us to manipulate us
- 53:50to basically keep us subservient, if you will.
- 53:55So that's one of the mysteries that they uncover is that it's in the chicken.
- 54:01Then the other discovery is that it's in the grape juice.
- 54:05And then the other discovery is that they're using hair products to control us.
- 54:13And I thought the most telling was the fact that they were using the black church to control us.
- 54:20This is the messages in the songs.
- 54:25Correct. Correct. This is it's comedy and it's satire.
- 54:31But I think it really touches on some low key important themes that many of
- 54:40us as black people have been saying for years. Right.
- 54:45For years, people have been saying that the music.
- 54:50It's it's it's it's so so much
- 54:53about denigrating women black women especially
- 54:56right and i and i'm you got you guys know what type of music i'm talking about
- 55:01you know the way that that that people were saying that the music only focuses
- 55:06on sex or the music only focuses on violence black on black violence so it's
- 55:12it's all of these type of themes that,
- 55:16clone tyrone are kind of touching on but they're doing it in a very overt and comedic kind of way,
- 55:26anything you want to add to that brother no no i think i think you got it uh
- 55:30got it spot on i just it it's just funny how universal stereotypes are black
- 55:38folks across the you know the chicken the grape drink. Lord knows.
- 55:44When you used to call the pizza down on state line, they used to get a small sausage.
- 55:51Grape knee high.
- 55:54So Lord knows the stereotypes is crazy that they use grape drink.
- 55:59This ain't the first movie. No, no, no, not at all.
- 56:04Think about what's them silly White Castle movies.
- 56:09Harold and Kumar. those movies are hilarious but if I'm not mistaken in one
- 56:17of the scenes don't they try and tempt the black people with like great Kool-Aid or something,
- 56:24yep wow it's been some years since I've seen it but yeah that does sound really
- 56:30familiar that's crazy bro.
- 56:37That's absolutely crazy but Here's something that I,
- 56:43and you and I have had this conversation, but I'm just going to pull back the
- 56:49blinds and let everyone in on a very private and intimate conversation that
- 56:54you and I have had about a clone Tyrone.
- 56:58What's up with these cats who think that cloning is real? You know what's sad?
- 57:04We like literally, personally know people we grew up with who believe this nonsense.
- 57:11And who the hell says, you know what, let's tell him.
- 57:16Now, I get it. Jamie Foxx is probably one of the most multi-talented people
- 57:20in every aspect to ever walk this earth.
- 57:23But we couldn't call him like the rights leaders. Correct.
- 57:28We couldn't call him, you know, presidents or. Correct.
- 57:32You know, just good people. We're going to choose Gucci Mane. Gucci Mane.
- 57:41I'm telling you, man. We got to call him Gucci.
- 57:46Gucci Mane. Now, if I'm Gucci, I'm thinking to myself, man, these dudes didn't
- 57:56think I could clean myself up. Correct.
- 57:59Gucci went in prison worked out himself together got a new perspective on life
- 58:06on life came back out asses like nah they gotta there ain't no way somebody
- 58:12can turn what was he done like four years five years something like that yep,
- 58:18man yeah it's like you said it basically means that we We can't experience growth.
- 58:29Correct. We're supposed to stay the same.
- 58:33That's incredibly troubling to me. That's incredibly narrow-minded to me.
- 58:40Because you're supposed to grow during your lifespan. You're not supposed to
- 58:46be the same cat at 19 that you are at 35.
- 58:52That means you're stuck in the mud. You're stuck in neutral.
- 58:57Supposed to gain perspective and I
- 59:01don't know bro I just I find that so weird bro and I find it weird that some
- 59:07of these cats actually get serious and like get upset when you tell them that
- 59:11they're crazy and be ready to fight ready to fight and I imagine they even alluded to it in the movie,
- 59:21if cloning was real it would be incredibly expensive,
- 59:28so to go back to your point why would they waste it on just no oh gucci man correct,
- 59:37wouldn't you want to clone neil degrasse tyson or obama or you know what i'm
- 59:43saying somebody that's actually going to make a difference in the world hey
- 59:48i don't even i don't even go as far to say this don't you think they would have
- 59:53cloned trump dumbass by now if this shit was real I mean,
- 59:57because we can all see that he's on his last leg. Absolutely.
- 1:00:02Just a thought. Just a thought. The thing is, too, is he he would be first and
- 1:00:06foremost at the front talking about.
- 1:00:08Oh, no, no, no. Yeah, I need to go ahead and play me for real, though.
- 1:00:12He himself would be right there talking about it.
- 1:00:15He's such a narcissist. He'd probably be like kill all my kids and just clone me.
- 1:00:25You've heard you've heard me say you've heard me say before that he's the type
- 1:00:31of person who absolutely would throw his kid push his kids in front of a moving
- 1:00:36track to save him he absolutely would yes yes and I agree with you absolutely,
- 1:00:44so anyway getting back to the movie,
- 1:00:48like my brother was saying And we come to find out that there are many versions of Fontaine,
- 1:00:57his whole existence has been basically a lie of fabrication and,
- 1:01:07we don't actually get to see Tyrone
- 1:01:11until we get to the end of the movie and
- 1:01:15that's when we see another version of John Boyega who's sitting there with his
- 1:01:22homies and one of Fontaine's clones actually walks by the news camera and his homies go,
- 1:01:36hey Tyrone ain't that you?
- 1:01:42And that's how the movie basically ends so Tyrone doesn't even get mentioned
- 1:01:48so you'd be confused and I guess that's a spoiler but you'd be confused watching the movie going,
- 1:01:55who the hell is Tyrone? Where is Tyrone?
- 1:01:58Well, you don't get to meet Tyrone until you get to the very end of the movie.
- 1:02:04Something else, too, that's kind of... He also finds out that basically his
- 1:02:09mother's voice is nothing more than... Oh, that was wild, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:02:17Yeah, they were. Yeah, they were controlling him through a speaker box.
- 1:02:24That's crazy bro so crazy so anyway that's our review they clone Tyrone how
- 1:02:33you want to rate this my brother,
- 1:02:35oh just based on the message itself I give it a I give it 5 just based on the message itself.
- 1:02:43Right there with you. I'm going to give this five black hands on the black hand side.
- 1:02:48I like this movie. It came out in 2023 for those who are wondering.
- 1:02:53It was directed by Jewel Taylor.
- 1:02:57Yeah, go check it out, guys. It's a good movie.
- 1:03:01It has a lot of laugh out loud moments, but the subliminal messages,
- 1:03:06the heading messages really are worth it.
- 1:03:10If you keep an open mind, I think most of us can relate
- 1:03:13to what those messages are so yeah fire on
- 1:03:18the black hand side for me as well when it
- 1:03:21comes to rating they clone tyrone all right y'all we have reached the conclusion
