- 0:11Speaker 1: Lives of the Headquarters Club his Hog Lost Vegas.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Another one, yo, go what's up?
- 0:36Speaker 1: What's up?
- 0:37Speaker 3: You know what time it is? It is eleven o'clock
- 0:39Speaker 3: right here on his high radio station. And I'm your brother,
- 0:43Speaker 3: I'm your boy, mister his hop. And this is the
- 0:47Speaker 3: place where we walk verse by verse, chapter by chapter
- 0:52Speaker 3: through the Word of God together. This is the time
- 0:55Speaker 3: where we meet up. We hold each other accountable, and
- 0:59Speaker 3: we encourage each other. This is where faith meets culture
- 1:04Speaker 3: in the Word a God meets real life. And right
- 1:08Speaker 3: now we are in the Book of Acts, the Book
- 1:11Speaker 3: of Acts, chapter seventeen, and we're gonna be looking at
- 1:15Speaker 3: verse five through nine. So make sure you grab your bibles,
- 1:20Speaker 3: you know, pass in your highlighters. We will be in
- 1:23Speaker 3: the Book of Acts chapter seventeen. Yes, yes, And also

- 1:35Speaker 3: through Saturday in the live chat. The time to meet
- 1:39Speaker 3: up is eleven o'clock am Pacific Standard time, because this
- 1:44Speaker 3: is a time where we listen to the podcast, where
- 1:47Speaker 3: we dump on the live chat, we send our prayer requests,
- 1:51Speaker 3: we encourage each other, We fellowship together, and most importantly,
- 1:57Speaker 3: we hold each other accountable. Amen. We help each other
- 2:02Speaker 3: stay on that narrow path. That narrow road is difficult
- 2:06Speaker 3: and there are few find it. And the only way
- 2:10Speaker 3: we can do that is if we have integrity. We
- 2:13Speaker 3: are honest with each other, and we allow the Word
- 2:17Speaker 3: of God to work in our hearts and to work
- 2:19Speaker 3: in our lives. Amen. And so God never intended for
- 2:25Speaker 3: us to do this thing solo. We were always supposed
- 2:28Speaker 3: to be in fellowship as brothers and sisters and so.
- 2:32Speaker 3: But this does not replace your local church. You need
- 2:36Speaker 3: to find a local body. You need to find a
- 2:39Speaker 3: good Bible believing, Bible trusting and Bible teaching pastor and leadership,
- 2:47Speaker 3: a Bible believing church, people who actually try to apply
- 2:52Speaker 3: the Word to their lives, striving for perfection, all that
- 2:56Speaker 3: good stuff. Yes, there are some bad churches out there,
- 3:00Speaker 3: but there are some good ones as well. You cannot
- 3:03Speaker 3: throw the baby out with the bathwater. So we do
- 3:06Speaker 3: encourage you to find a local body to join. But
- 3:10Speaker 3: we are also here to help and assist. And so

- 4:00Speaker 3: to come and get involved, hit up the website his
- 4:03Speaker 3: hot nation dot com. Now let's go before our father
- 4:07Speaker 3: in prayer, Heavenly Father, we ask go God, Oh Lord,
- 4:11Speaker 3: that you will help us to engraph your word, for
- 4:16Speaker 3: your word is able to save our souls. Oh God,
- 4:19Speaker 3: let us be a people that does not only hear,
- 4:22Speaker 3: but we also do and apply. We pray God that
- 4:26Speaker 3: you will bless this time together. Lord, in your word.
- 4:29Speaker 3: We ask for the ring of word, the spoken word,
- 4:32Speaker 3: the anointing to flow in and through. Oh God, we ask,
- 4:37Speaker 3: O God, that we will be changed, Oh God, that
- 4:39Speaker 3: we will not be the same people, that we will yield,
- 4:43Speaker 3: that we will surrender, that we will be an obedient
- 4:47Speaker 3: people before you. We ask this, O God, in Jesus' name, Amen, hallelujah, hallelujah.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Obedience is very important. Jesus said in his word, if
- 5:01Speaker 3: you love me, you will obey me. That is the
- 5:04Speaker 3: proof of our love for the Lord is our obedience. Amen.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Let's pray for stronger obedience. I'm praying this for myself. Amen,
- 5:14Speaker 3: a stronger obedience to the word. Hallelujah. All right, all right.
- 5:23Speaker 3: So in the previous episode, we saw Paul the Apostle
- 5:28Speaker 3: reasoning from the scriptures and proving that Jesus is the Christ.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Some people believed, but as we are about to see,
- 5:41Speaker 3: not everyone was happy about it at all. When the
- 5:47Speaker 3: Gospel begins to transform life, sometimes it also exposes jealousy.
- 5:54Speaker 3: It also exposes pride and opposition in the hearts of others.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Is that's why it's so important to guard our hearts.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Belove it. It is so important for us to guard
- 6:08Speaker 3: our hearts. The Bible said that out of our hearts
- 6:13Speaker 3: are the issues of life and man. And so I
- 6:22Speaker 3: feel for these people. I mean, it's one thing not
- 6:27Speaker 3: to believe, but they were envious and jealous because the
- 6:31Speaker 3: Gospel was prosperous. These people were fighting against God, and
- 6:36Speaker 3: they allowed jealousy and envy to enter into their hearts,
- 6:42Speaker 3: and they missed the kingdom. So I'm gonna try something
- 6:46Speaker 3: a little different today. I'm gonna read our passage of scripture,
- 6:51Speaker 3: and then I'm gonna go ahead and come back and
- 6:53Speaker 3: break it down. Actually, this is what I started out doing.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I'm gonna go back to it. It's not something new,
- 7:00Speaker 3: but because of time restraints, I kind of was skipping
- 7:05Speaker 3: through scripture. But anyway, let's go ahead and read it
- 7:10Speaker 3: verse five through verse nine. But the Jews, who are
- 7:16Speaker 3: not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men
- 7:22Speaker 3: from the marketplace. Now, hold on, before we go further,
- 7:26Speaker 3: I do want to cover a little background of the
- 7:30Speaker 3: previous episode that Paul his customer was to go to
- 7:34Speaker 3: the synagogues right to share the gospel, and that opened
- 7:40Speaker 3: my eyes to something where we want to go out
- 7:42Speaker 3: until evangelize. Yes, sometimes we go out to the street,
- 7:45Speaker 3: we pass out flyers, we get people who pass by,
- 7:49Speaker 3: We try to speak as much as we can, But
- 7:52Speaker 3: why not go to where the people gather already. That's
- 7:56Speaker 3: what Paul did. He went to the synagogues where people
- 7:59Speaker 3: were already got and with the scripture. Now, I mean, yes,
- 8:05Speaker 3: we can be invited to church, But how about college campuses,
- 8:09Speaker 3: how about schools? How about places where people gather. Let's
- 8:14Speaker 3: pray about that that these places will open up so
- 8:17Speaker 3: that we could go and share and preach the word.
- 8:21Speaker 3: And also in the previous chapter, we saw that a
- 8:25Speaker 3: lot of influential people, a lot of noble people, a
- 8:29Speaker 3: lot of women, powerful women, and people in society accepted
- 8:34Speaker 3: the gospel. So the gospel was making traction right the gospel.
- 8:39Speaker 3: A lot of Jews believed as well. Sometimes we, you know,
- 8:45Speaker 3: might hear negative things about the Jews because they pursued Paul,
- 8:50Speaker 3: but there were a lot of Jews who did believe Amen.
- 8:55Speaker 3: So this is a response to all of that. So
- 8:59Speaker 3: in verse five, but the Jews, who were not persuaded,
- 9:04Speaker 3: becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the
- 9:08Speaker 3: marketplace and gathering a mob, set all the city in
- 9:12Speaker 3: an uproar, and attacked the house of Jason. And now
- 9:19Speaker 3: this is the first time I believe Jason is mentioned
- 9:22Speaker 3: in scripture. He's going to play a huge part in
- 9:26Speaker 3: this story today. And sought to bring them out in
- 9:31Speaker 3: the peak to the people. When they did not find them,
- 9:36Speaker 3: they dragged Jason and some of the brethren to the
- 9:40Speaker 3: rulers of the city, crying out, these who have turned
- 9:45Speaker 3: the world upside down have come here too. Jason has
- 9:51Speaker 3: harbored them, and they are all acting contrary to the
- 9:57Speaker 3: decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus, hallelujah.
- 10:04Speaker 3: And they troubled the crowd and the rulers of this
- 10:06Speaker 3: city when they heard these things. So when they had
- 10:11Speaker 3: taken the security from Jason and the rest, they let
- 10:20Speaker 3: them go. Amen. All right, well, let's break this down
- 10:25Speaker 3: because this is good, all right, Verse five. But the Jews,
- 10:32Speaker 3: who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the
- 10:38Speaker 3: evil men from the marketplace and gathering a mob, set
- 10:43Speaker 3: all the city in an uproar. Wow. Now, the issue
- 10:52Speaker 3: wasn't that Paul lacked evidence. The real issue was jealousy
- 11:00Speaker 3: a man, Paul had the evidence that he needed to
- 11:05Speaker 3: prove that Jesus was the Messiah. But these men were envious.
- 11:13Speaker 3: The religious leaders saw people responding to the gospel, and
- 11:18Speaker 3: instead of rejoicing over it, they became threatened. Now, if
- 11:27Speaker 3: you're not careful, beloved, this is something that we see
- 11:30Speaker 3: today as well. There's a pharceutic or should I say,
- 11:35Speaker 3: a religious spirit out there today that would hate on
- 11:39Speaker 3: you and hate on us just because we want to
- 11:44Speaker 3: just share the pure gospel. We just want to share
- 11:48Speaker 3: the Word with each other. Amen. When truth exposes pride, right,
- 11:57Speaker 3: and that's what the word will do, It'll expose our
- 11:59Speaker 3: people sometimes respond with anger instead of just being humble.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Instead of humility, people will get angry when they're exposed.
- 12:18Speaker 3: And noticed what they did. They gathered troublemakers from the marketplace.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Now this is interesting. In other words, they created a mob. Now,
- 12:31Speaker 3: the gospel didn't start the riot. Jealousy did. Right. Paul
- 12:39Speaker 3: was not out there instigating a riot. Paul was not
- 12:42Speaker 3: out there bringing a division in their community. He didn't
- 12:48Speaker 3: come in there, you know, gang banging and set tripping. No,
- 12:53Speaker 3: these men were jealous. Now, why do you think, now
- 12:57Speaker 3: this is wrong? Why would you go to trouble making
- 13:02Speaker 3: men to resolve a problem or an issue. Why didn't
- 13:08Speaker 3: they just go to the authorities right then and there? Right,
- 13:13Speaker 3: if they truly thought that there was injustice, and they
- 13:17Speaker 3: truly thought there is wrongdoing, right, they re read it.
- 13:22Speaker 3: They accused them of not following Caesar's decrees. Right, why
- 13:28Speaker 3: not go to the authorities to handle it. They went
- 13:32Speaker 3: to trouble makers. This shows their heart and their intent.
- 13:36Speaker 3: It's almost like going to inmates in prison. You know,
- 13:43Speaker 3: you know some people just got out on parole, or
- 13:47Speaker 3: you know, we know those individuals who are involved in
- 13:52Speaker 3: these questionable activities, right, we know people who have ties
- 13:56Speaker 3: ties with the mob, or they got ties with you know,
- 14:01Speaker 3: the Riyan Brotherhood, or ties with the Crypts or the
- 14:04Speaker 3: Bloods or the or the Grilla Nation, or whoever may be,
- 14:09Speaker 3: you know what I mean, And we go to them.
- 14:13Speaker 3: That is our first response. I mean, there's something wrong
- 14:20Speaker 3: right there, right out of the gate. And these are
- 14:22Speaker 3: supposed to be religious men. These are supposed to be
- 14:26Speaker 3: men of the word verse six. But when they did
- 14:32Speaker 3: not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to
- 14:37Speaker 3: the rulers of the city, crying out, these who have
- 14:42Speaker 3: turned the world upside down have come here. Man, How
- 14:47Speaker 3: would I love to be accused of that turning the
- 14:51Speaker 3: world upside down? They actually turned the world right side up. Amen.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Now they said that the Christians had turned the world
- 15:03Speaker 3: upside down. The apostles, right, think about the phrase turning
- 15:11Speaker 3: the world upside down? What were the apostles doing. They
- 15:16Speaker 3: were preaching truth, they were exposing sin, and they were
- 15:23Speaker 3: declaring Jesus as Lord. And that message challenged the power
- 15:30Speaker 3: structure of the time. That message still challenges the power
- 15:36Speaker 3: structure of today. The Gospel always disrupts systems built on
- 15:45Speaker 3: darkness and deception. Let me say that again. The Gospel
- 15:49Speaker 3: will always disrupt systems that are built on darkness and destruction.
- 15:57Speaker 3: We need to be turning this world of down once again,
- 16:01Speaker 3: like the apostles did it. Hallelujah. Need to add that
- 16:05Speaker 3: to our prayer list. Lord, help me to turn our community,
- 16:09Speaker 3: help us to turn our community upside down, hallelujah. Verse seven,
- 16:20Speaker 3: Jason had harbored them, and those are all acting contrary
- 16:28Speaker 3: to the decree of Caesar, saying there is another king Jesus, Amen,
- 16:36Speaker 3: just like I said, Like, why didn't they go to
- 16:39Speaker 3: the authorities in the first place? And they went to
- 16:42Speaker 3: go get gang bangers to help them. Now, this accusation
- 16:50Speaker 3: was only political talking about Caesar, right, the mob accused
- 16:57Speaker 3: the apostles of declaring an another king besides Caesar. This
- 17:03Speaker 3: was a serious charge in the Roman Empire. But let's
- 17:11Speaker 3: notice the irony in this. Yes, the apostles believe Jesus
- 17:17Speaker 3: as king, but Jesus wasn't starting a political rebellion. His
- 17:23Speaker 3: kingdom is spiritual. However, the Gospel still threatens earthly systems
- 17:31Speaker 3: because it caused people to submit to Christ authority first
- 17:38Speaker 3: before any other authority in the land. We submit to
- 17:47Speaker 3: Christ first before we submit to any political figure or
- 17:56Speaker 3: the laws of the land. Actually, we have the right
- 17:59Speaker 3: to re dell against our government if they are calling
- 18:07Speaker 3: us to disobey God and sin against Scripture Amen, verse a.
- 18:23Speaker 3: They troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city
- 18:27Speaker 3: when they heard these things. Now, these people were troubled.
- 18:33Speaker 3: The accusations created fear among the authorities. Roman officials were
- 18:41Speaker 3: always cautious about riots and rebellion. They didn't want those
- 18:46Speaker 3: things in their sector, in the areas that they were
- 18:50Speaker 3: in charge of. Right, the mob intentionally used fear and
- 18:58Speaker 3: politics to persuade the leaders. They knew this. They knew
- 19:03Speaker 3: what buttons to push, They knew how to manipulate the situation,
- 19:09Speaker 3: how to get them to respond the way they wanted
- 19:13Speaker 3: them to respond. That is witchcraft, love it. That is
- 19:18Speaker 3: manipulation and control. Now this also shows us something important here.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Opposition often uses fear and misinformation. We see that so
- 19:37Speaker 3: much in the media today, right. We see it on
- 19:41Speaker 3: the news, we see it on the Internet. There's a
- 19:44Speaker 3: lot of fear monkey out there and misinformation behind it.
- 19:48Speaker 3: If we're not grounded in the Word, we will get
- 19:51Speaker 3: swept away with the tide that is coming, especially in
- 19:56Speaker 3: the days we're living in now. Now, the enemy tries
- 20:03Speaker 3: to make truth look dangerous. I think that the tactic
- 20:08Speaker 3: of the enemy, the enemy always lies on God. He
- 20:12Speaker 3: makes God look as if he's restrictive. We have to
- 20:16Speaker 3: live this restrictive life, this miserable life. If we're serving God,
- 20:21Speaker 3: which is further from the truth. We live a life
- 20:23Speaker 3: of freedom and liberty. Once we accept the Lord in
- 20:28Speaker 3: our lives. Amen. The God's word continues to move forward
- 20:35Speaker 3: no matter what, no matter what we do, no matter
- 20:41Speaker 3: what we say, the Word of God will continue to
- 20:47Speaker 3: move forward. Amen.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Now.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Verse nine. So when they had taken security from Jason
- 20:58Speaker 3: and the rest let them go. Now Jason had to
- 21:08Speaker 3: post a financial bond he had to pay to get
- 21:12Speaker 3: out of this situation, right, and he had to promise
- 21:19Speaker 3: that that disturbance would stop. This allowed the authorities to
- 21:24Speaker 3: release them without further punishment. Jason paid a price for
- 21:32Speaker 3: supporting the Gospel. Hallelujah. Now hospitality cost him something. Following
- 21:45Speaker 3: Christ sometimes involves personal sacrifice. But that hit your spirit, beloved,
- 21:56Speaker 3: But God always honors those who stand for the true truth. Now,
- 22:04Speaker 3: who knows Jason might have wanted a quiet evening at home.
- 22:10Speaker 3: He probably didn't need this or did not expect a
- 22:15Speaker 3: riot to divide the whole entire community. All he wanted
- 22:21Speaker 3: was the word. All he wanted was to be used
- 22:23Speaker 3: by God. And he got involved in his situation that
- 22:30Speaker 3: was unfavorable. He got dragged out before the authorities and
- 22:36Speaker 3: he had to pay a bill. He had to take security. Right,
- 22:42Speaker 3: that means he had to pay and promised that the
- 22:45Speaker 3: riot would subside, that everything would be cool. And who
- 22:51Speaker 3: knows what the price was, But it was a sacrifice,
- 22:55Speaker 3: and I'm pretty sure he was glad to be able
- 22:59Speaker 3: to do it. And if you look at him now,
- 23:02Speaker 3: his name is written in the Bible for generations for
- 23:07Speaker 3: all history to see his involvement and his sacrifice for
- 23:14Speaker 3: the Gospel's sake. His hospitality. All he did was allow
- 23:19Speaker 3: them to come into his house. Right, this was like
- 23:23Speaker 3: a home Bible study or maybe even a church that
- 23:27Speaker 3: was planted and getting off the ground. And he just
- 23:31Speaker 3: did what the Lydia did in the previous chapter. She
- 23:36Speaker 3: allowed in Philippi, she allowed the apostles to come over
- 23:40Speaker 3: to her house. And so look at what hospitality can do.
- 23:48Speaker 3: You never know when someone opens up their doors. I've
- 23:51Speaker 3: been invited to a person's house to start a Bible study.
- 23:56Speaker 3: When a person opens up their door and say, hey,
- 23:59Speaker 3: come to my home and teach Bible study, you don't
- 24:02Speaker 3: know what God is doing. God could be opening a
- 24:05Speaker 3: door to start a church, to start at home fellowship.
- 24:14Speaker 3: And this is what Jason did. He opened the door
- 24:17Speaker 3: to the apostles, and then he had to pay a
- 24:21Speaker 3: price to keep the peace into further the gospel. Just
- 24:27Speaker 3: think about it. He could have done anything at this point.
- 24:29Speaker 3: He could have denied them. He could have said that
- 24:32Speaker 3: they were never He could have lied and said they
- 24:34Speaker 3: were never here. We don't know who they were. We
- 24:38Speaker 3: saw this right with the apostle Peter. He denied Christ
- 24:40Speaker 3: three times. I mean, you got a whole city coming
- 24:45Speaker 3: after you, but Jason stood his ground. So I definitely
- 24:51Speaker 3: want to give honor is due. Shout out. That's a
- 24:57Speaker 3: great example for us, hey man, And on that note,
- 25:01Speaker 3: let's take your break.
- 25:03Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 25:07Speaker 4: is the his Hop radio show.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Uh ain't God adjudge me for my wrong?
- 25:34Speaker 1: So can you pray for it? Is strapping me as
- 25:37Speaker 1: I hate that gone? Okay, you pray for it. Rond
- 25:39Speaker 1: and don't know when I make it home, So okay,
- 25:40Speaker 1: you pray for it.
- 25:41Speaker 5: And it's cold world for a lot of loans, so
- 25:43Speaker 5: can you pray for it? It's okay, you pray for you.
- 25:47Speaker 5: I've been going through some things. Okay, price for it.
- 25:51Speaker 5: It's okay, pray for it. I've been trying to write
- 25:54Speaker 5: my wrong, so can you pray for it? God give
- 25:56Speaker 5: me some mass. Just feel like mode and I can't handle.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I'm just trying to meet your standards, but I don't
- 26:00Speaker 5: feel I'm falling short everything. You can't be random every day.
- 26:03Speaker 5: I'm taking chances. It is a blessing coming soon. I
- 26:05Speaker 5: need to hear from the story. I've been through so
- 26:07Speaker 5: much of pain. I've seen them change, but I'll remain.
- 26:09Speaker 5: It took some time to find my lang. Who would
- 26:11Speaker 5: have knew I got a voice that could strap with
- 26:13Speaker 5: no remorse? You know where I'm from. They here the
- 26:15Speaker 5: dead or they in court. God say, son, I got
- 26:17Speaker 5: a plan for you.
- 26:17Speaker 1: You with me? Lord?
- 26:18Speaker 5: Of course, nobody told me that Susys come with so
- 26:20Speaker 5: many problems.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I don't really care much for the fam, so leave
- 26:23Speaker 1: me out the drama.
- 26:24Speaker 5: I got in the game and spread the good word
- 26:26Speaker 5: as that.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Go say comments. So I can take her wife and
- 26:28Speaker 1: kids like they retire my mama. If you want it
- 26:30Speaker 1: bad and the go all in. I spent my last dollar.
- 26:32Speaker 1: But what I'm saying they best I know. I'm blessed.
- 26:34Speaker 1: So I just find my college. I always knew that
- 26:36Speaker 1: guy would with me.
- 26:37Speaker 5: I feel him sense of toddler something told me he
- 26:39Speaker 5: will really just ain't know how to call it.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Ain't got to jail me for my wrong. So can't
- 26:43Speaker 1: you pray for it? Miss and strapping me?
- 26:45Speaker 3: Is?
- 26:45Speaker 1: I hate they gone? So can you price for it?
- 26:47Speaker 1: Probably don't know when I'll make it home. So can
- 26:49Speaker 1: you pray for it? In this cold world? For all
- 26:51Speaker 1: the loans? So can you pray for it? So can
- 26:54Speaker 1: you price for you? I've been going through some things,
- 26:57Speaker 1: so can you pray for you? Okay, price I've been
- 27:01Speaker 1: trying to write my wrong.
- 27:02Speaker 5: Okay, okay, okay, thanks, I've been trying to.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Write my wrong. Okay.
- 27:20Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 27:24Speaker 4: is the His Hop Radio show.
- 27:43Speaker 3: All right, we are back from the break. This is
- 27:45Speaker 3: your brother, mister His Hop and once again this is
- 27:49Speaker 3: the His Hot Radio podcast. I want to give a
- 27:52Speaker 3: quick shout out to our brother Zoom three in the
- 27:54Speaker 3: live chat, our brother Corinth for coming through, and uh,
- 27:59Speaker 3: everybody else that has popped in. If I have not
- 28:02Speaker 3: seen you, charge it to my head, not to my heart.
- 28:07Speaker 3: But I want to thank everyone for showing support. Is
- 28:11Speaker 3: very encouraging on this podcast. To see the feedback and
- 28:16Speaker 3: to see that people are being blessed and people are
- 28:19Speaker 3: being touched by the Word of God. Hallelujah. That is
- 28:23Speaker 3: the whole purpose. And hey, I'm learning just as well.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I'm not sitting here acting like I got it all together.
- 28:29Speaker 3: I'm going through the word just like everyone else, trying
- 28:33Speaker 3: to apply this in my life. Amen. Hallelujah is great
- 28:37Speaker 3: when we can do this in fellowship. The song was
- 28:45Speaker 3: can You Pray for Me? By Kim one K right
- 28:52Speaker 3: here on his high radio. Look them up. He's doing
- 28:56Speaker 3: some things within our space and also it's time for
- 29:01Speaker 3: the accountability partner. And so we got daily questions that
- 29:07Speaker 3: we put in a life chat. I want to encourage
- 29:09Speaker 3: you to read it. Check out the life Chat, answer
- 29:13Speaker 3: the questions if you would like, and just apply these
- 29:18Speaker 3: to our lives. Right a man. Now, I'll start this
- 29:22Speaker 3: segment because I notice there are some brothers and sisters
- 29:26Speaker 3: who are still struggling with the same sin. And sin
- 29:32Speaker 3: is serious. Sin can cause us to miss the kingdom.
- 29:36Speaker 3: There are going to be a lot of people in
- 29:38Speaker 3: church who are left behind. The Bible even says that
- 29:42Speaker 3: there's wheat and terrors that are growing up. That the
- 29:46Speaker 3: terrors look just like the wheat, but the difference is
- 29:51Speaker 3: that wheat bow. The weak live a life of obedience,
- 29:57Speaker 3: that we apply the word into their lives. They cement
- 30:02Speaker 3: and yield everything to God. The tears don't bow. They
- 30:08Speaker 3: are prideful, they are stiff necked. They will not yield
- 30:14Speaker 3: or be obedient. Because sometimes it can be small obedience,
- 30:20Speaker 3: sometimes it could be different things. Now, I know we're
- 30:23Speaker 3: not perfect, and I know we all struggle, but there's
- 30:28Speaker 3: got to be a clear place in our hearts where
- 30:32Speaker 3: we are yielded to God, and that is a question
- 30:36Speaker 3: I'm even asking myself. There's areas where I struggle. I'm like, Lord,
- 30:41Speaker 3: you know, am I right? Like? What's going on with me?
- 30:47Speaker 3: Am I a tear? Like? A good thing to do
- 30:50Speaker 3: is to examine ourselves according to scripture, like am I
- 30:53Speaker 3: a tear? Or am I weak? You know what I mean?
- 30:56Speaker 3: Because at the end of harvest, the angels are going
- 31:00Speaker 3: to pluck out the wheat and throw them into the barn.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Then they're gonna pluck out the tear and throw them
- 31:06Speaker 3: into the fire. I don't want to be thrown into
- 31:08Speaker 3: the fire. Amen. So we need to examine ourselves and
- 31:14Speaker 3: know whether or not we are in the will and
- 31:18Speaker 3: in right standing with God. And to help us do
- 31:22Speaker 3: that is have an accountability partner that can share scripture,
- 31:26Speaker 3: that can speak correction into our lives. Amen, that can
- 31:32Speaker 3: guide us in a good path, someone that we know
- 31:36Speaker 3: has some spiritual victories and are walking with the Lord. Amen.
- 31:43Speaker 3: And so that's what the challenge is today and the
- 31:47Speaker 3: podcast is when truth exposes pride in us. Right. Pride
- 31:56Speaker 3: is what causes us not to bow down. It causes
- 31:59Speaker 3: us not to men are surrendered. Right. People sometimes respond
- 32:06Speaker 3: with anger instead of humility. And so when our position comes,
- 32:15Speaker 3: you need people around you who can help you stay
- 32:19Speaker 3: focused on God like Paul in Silence right. We need
- 32:26Speaker 3: people around us that will help us stay focused and grounded.
- 32:30Speaker 3: And the words will call your accountability partner. Go over
- 32:33Speaker 3: these questions. Go over to these topics. Do some self examining,
- 32:38Speaker 3: do some confessing. The Bible says, confess your false to
- 32:41Speaker 3: one another, and pray for one another so that we
- 32:44Speaker 3: may be healed. Amen, Hallelujah, hallelujah. Also, we want to
- 33:01Speaker 3: let you know that his Hot Radio is a monitored
- 33:04Speaker 3: in a reporting radio station. We monitor, we have our

- 34:43Speaker 3: gonna knock her all out the box today. So the
- 34:47Speaker 3: first one to answer the question to get to get it,
- 34:49Speaker 3: get the question right, is the champ and have the
- 34:52Speaker 3: bragging rights for today. The question is how mm hm,
- 35:00Speaker 3: I mean not how, but who hosted Paul and Silas
- 35:04Speaker 3: in Theessala and Nika and was dragged before the authorities?
- 35:10Speaker 3: Let me ask that again, who hosted or who was
- 35:14Speaker 3: the person who had hospitality towards Paul and silast in
- 35:21Speaker 3: the city of Thessala and Nika and was dragged before
- 35:26Speaker 3: the authorities? Amen, get him over to the life chat.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Let us know give it would be the first one
- 35:37Speaker 3: to answer that one time for a community shout out.
- 35:46Speaker 3: We are still putting the finishing touches on the mirror
- 35:49Speaker 3: at Valley High School. There's a huge story behind it.
- 35:55Speaker 3: We want to let y'all know. Join our newsletters so
- 35:59Speaker 3: that you can be the first to know. As we
- 36:03Speaker 3: sent out the article, says, we sent out the write
- 36:05Speaker 3: up concerning that, and also this is a time where
- 36:10Speaker 3: we update our activities in the community. Well, I'm gonna
- 36:19Speaker 3: give you a personal update last week. It was actually
- 36:24Speaker 3: last Thursday. After I got off the podcast, I'm heading
- 36:30Speaker 3: to work, you know, and I hit the gym before work,
- 36:33Speaker 3: and so this particular day, I decided to go bench
- 36:36Speaker 3: I loved the bench press, but I was rushing. I
- 36:41Speaker 3: only had like thirty minutes. So there's a couple of
- 36:44Speaker 3: things that I jumped on and as I was benching,
- 36:50Speaker 3: beloved I was. I pushed the weight up and I
- 36:55Speaker 3: hit the stand behind me and somehow pushed the bar
- 37:01Speaker 3: out of my hands. Now I was only lifting ninety pounds.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Thank god, if that bar came crushing on my chest,
- 37:10Speaker 3: and then it bounced back up and bounced back into
- 37:12Speaker 3: my hands, and so I was able to lift it
- 37:15Speaker 3: and put it back on the stand, and I was sore.
- 37:19Speaker 3: I was moving. I couldn't even tie my shoe. I
- 37:22Speaker 3: was so sore. I was just like want in the world.
- 37:26Speaker 3: And the crazy thing is I didn't know if I
- 37:28Speaker 3: bruised something, fractured something. You don't want to mess with
- 37:32Speaker 3: your chest. You got too many vital organs in your chest.
- 37:36Speaker 3: I know if I broke any ribs, and so I
- 37:40Speaker 3: was trying to just shake it off. But I couldn't
- 37:42Speaker 3: shake it off. Like hours later, I was stealing clean
- 37:48Speaker 3: and so when I got off work early, I had
- 37:51Speaker 3: to run some errands and then I went to the
- 37:55Speaker 3: urgent care and I got checked out and by the
- 37:59Speaker 3: grace of God, nothing was fractured. They said, everything looks good.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Praise God. So I'm gonna give God glory for that.
- 38:09Speaker 3: But if you work out at the gym, please be
- 38:11Speaker 3: careful me. Please keep me in prayer because I'm going
- 38:15Speaker 3: back today. So Amen, no mishaps, no more injuries. Amen. Also,
- 38:29Speaker 3: we want to highlight our nonprofit. You don't let you
- 38:33Speaker 3: know that his op Nation. We have been an organization
- 38:36Speaker 3: for about four years, a nonprofit organization. We are five
- 38:41Speaker 3: oh one c three public charity and we are looking
- 38:46Speaker 3: to relaunch and reopen Club, hits Houp, Las Vegas. We
- 38:50Speaker 3: have a TV network, we need to get back up
- 38:52Speaker 3: and running. What's our radio network and a lot of
- 38:57Speaker 3: things that we do in the community, our youth program.
- 39:01Speaker 3: There's a lot that God has placed in our hearts
- 39:03Speaker 3: to do, but we need that support. Five dollars a month,
- 39:08Speaker 3: two dollars a month, three dollars a month is something
- 39:13Speaker 3: to pour into the kingdom. The Bible says store your
- 39:16Speaker 3: treasures in heaven and this is good ground to sow into.
- 39:21Speaker 3: And also that releases a blessing in your life when
- 39:24Speaker 3: you begin to give. Amen. Now, there are people who
- 39:27Speaker 3: are looking for tax write off, something to invest in.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Point them here his hot nation dot com. Yes, it
- 39:35Speaker 3: is tax deductible. If you want to donate building space,
- 39:40Speaker 3: a car, a vehicle and write it off, you can
- 39:43Speaker 3: do so. You want to donate to a nonprofit, we
- 39:49Speaker 3: are looking for a building, We're looking for space. If
- 39:52Speaker 3: you want to donate your time, talent and treasure. If
- 39:56Speaker 3: you are a grant writer and you would like to
- 39:58Speaker 3: support us, we are looking also for sponsors and donors. Amen.
- 40:07Speaker 3: And as I said, we need to come together as
- 40:11Speaker 3: a community so that we can fulfill purpose. If you
- 40:20Speaker 3: want to participate, set head on over to our website
- 40:25Speaker 3: his Hot Nation dot com or you can also give
- 40:29Speaker 3: on the app his Hot Radio on all platforms. All right,
- 40:38Speaker 3: love it, This is my time and I have some
- 40:40Speaker 3: closing comments. And I just would also want to let
- 40:44Speaker 3: you know if you go to our website his hotmation
- 40:48Speaker 3: dot com and hit the blog section, there are some notes,
- 40:52Speaker 3: some podcast notes, some discussed discussion questions if you want
- 40:57Speaker 3: to go over them. So just want to let you
- 41:00Speaker 3: know that's available to you our podcast notes. A man,
- 41:08Speaker 3: So I got some closing encouragement. Now, the gospel change
- 41:13Speaker 3: lives in Thesalonaika, but it also stirred up opposition. Why
- 41:20Speaker 3: is that? Because the truth challenges darkness every time. But
- 41:28Speaker 3: even riots, accusations and threats could not stop the spread
- 41:36Speaker 3: of the gospel. That same truth still has power today.
- 41:44Speaker 3: So stand firm, share the word boldly, and trust God
- 41:53Speaker 3: with the results. Just be obedient and leave the rest
- 41:59Speaker 3: of to the Lord. Amen. All right, y'all, this is
