Daily Devotions; Claiming To Be Authorized - June 25, 2025
Scripture Focus: Acts 15:1, 24
"Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers... We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said."
Pastor David Sumrall points out a key moment in Acts where unauthorized teachers caused confusion among believers. He emphasizes the importance of knowing who sent the messenger and whether their teaching aligns with the gospel and the Great Commission. True ministry focuses on reaching the lost, not just reshaping believers' theology.
