• This program, this match will slap. Quite literally, it is gonna slap. And it's No. It's gonna be really good. Gonna be really good. And they are gonna beat the ever-loving tar out of each other. Not this time. You tried to get me again, not this time. I was ready for it. I know. Was ready for it. All right. So let's talk about Dynamite Fright Night live from Yeah. St. Louis, where I would say some things happened here this evening. Lots of... again, I think Dynamite's on a roll lately. I loved this week's show, I loved last week's show. I am really enjoying what they're doing right now. I'm gonna preface all of this with I was paying attention, but not as much as usual, because I had two TVs going 'cause of game five of the World Series, which just spoiler alert, if you're watching my eyes and they dart down to the right, to my right anyway, that's because it's on the phone that's right here. So, you know, you may Okay, okay. That's all right. Say something and I may go, "Hmm?" And just It's all right. No, it's cause something happened with the baseballing. But anyway. That's okay. That's okay. It's completely all right. Yeah. Anyway, I was really hoping they would wrap it up last night 'cause like, that'll work out perfectly. And then, Yeah. You know, it didn't. And I was like, Hmm. All right. Well, here we go. Yeah, Hmm. Now we have a conflict and I don't like it. Yeah. Well, luckily we have multiple TVs in this house. So I took our little like 32-inch one and I put it below the big one and the little one had baseball and the big one had dynamite. 'Cause I have my priorities. I have my priorities Yes, you do, and I appreciate it. Straight, you know. Anyway. So let's dive into this thing. Like I said, live from St. Louis. Let us begin, as we do, with checking the heat. Yes, let's heat check this thing. Let's run down this hot list here, which once again, good news for AEW is it's a lot of stuff. Mm-hmm. On my hot list, the Death Riders versus the Cut. Even if I'm not wild about the name The Cut, I liked the match. Yeah. I actually like their logo. I didn't It's very Bullet Club-esque, but with I didn't catch the logo, I guess. Knives. Okay. I'll have to go back and look at that. And Kind of cool. Look, I will say The Cut is better than the last outfit, which was the first thing they went with. My god, yeah. Yeah, and then they changed the name at the end of the night. Yeah. It bums me out because I was really hoping that they could get some like I assume New Japan owns the IP for Bullet Club. I believe they do, yes. But I was hoping that maybe they could like license it like they did for a while when it was Bullet Club Gold before they were the Bang Bang Gang, because this should be the Bullet Club. Like it just it should be, but Yes. Yes, it should. Whatever. That aside, I like the match. Jack Perry and Yep, that's one. Kyle Fletcher I thought were really good. Yes. Fact, they were so good. Would they be my match of the night? We will find out. I thought the Fletcher postmatch promo was pretty good. You know, everything he does is good. Yeah. Yep. The New Level Bro-Hango stuff I actually enjoyed, even though I've been ragging on it for multiple weeks. I actually enjoyed it. And I am still not fully in love with this story. But, you know, like again, on the scale of heat. Here, this has like maybe two of the little chili peppers next to it. But I liked it. And yeah. Yeah, I liked it. You know, Right. But they're there. The peppers are there. Mm-hmm. And that's I haven't been able to say that a lot lately. I just haven't. No, I get it. I get it. I get it. Then the Don Callis promo I thought was quite good. And of course, Okada was great in it. Yes. Of course FTR and Motor City Machine Guns were excellent. I don't think you need me to tell you that, but here we are. I really liked the Brit Persephone Queen Aminata promo, particularly Brittt Baker. Ciampa. Yeah, I didn't Yes. I had I had to look up who that was. I Know and I didn't look it up. I was just like, okay, whatever. She's just like I it was one of those things that I went, it's a reference that I don't get and that's fine. And then in the main event, Tony Schiavone mentioned it, and I went, Yeah, yeah. Okay, okay, okay. But I like the promo, particularly Britt. I am very happy. That my Ciampa Dragunov prediction is coming to fruition. I have this in my heart. It Mm-hmm. It sh it might be moved to the mild for one reason. And we'll get into that when we talk about the show. Okay. All right. I'm very curious about that now because I'm very happy with that. I liked everything after Marina versus Jobber Saint Jobber. Mm-hmm. That's not the name I'm going with, by the way, but I liked it. Popped into my head. I liked it. Jobber in the ring Jones. Yeah, pretty much. The TNT title match and the TBS title match. That rounds out my hot list. Cool. I have a few little bits of extra. Yeah, I know you do. I don't know. I don't know if you noticed. First thing I put on my hot list. Dude in the crowd dressed as the Red Hood. Really like that. But that was really solid. I didn't catch that actually. Jack Perry giving Taz a hug. But that was great. Mm-hmm. The guardrail dropkick. Thought that was great. My god. Yeah. So dumb. Thought that whole match was great. The Blood and Guts promo because. Of Okada's picture where he's just going. That's true. That's a good I skipped over that. I didn't even write it down, but that's true. That was tremendous. I saw that I wasn't gonna write it down, but then I was like you, I was looking away and it was the promo and I happened to look up and just saw that and I was like All right, that's going on the hot list. Let's see if there's anything different. No, I liked everything. The Marina Mercedes thing that led to the Cut taking out Death Riders and Claudio. I like the two matches. Okay, hot list for me, without a doubt. Just having Queen Aminata and Persephone headline the show. That's great. That's great. Loved it. And the result. Very happy. Very happy. Yep. I do have one addition to the hot list I almost forgot about. You mentioning the crowd reminded me. Shout out to my friend and former coworker Robbie, who was ringside, and I saw him on TV multiple times tonight. So that's on my hot list too. Yeah. Robbie? Nice job. Yeah. Yeah. They got a real good shot of him in the first match. And I text him like, I just saw you on TV. But anyway. Nice. Do you have anything on your mild? And then he replied and I wanted to be like, Go back to watching wrestling, ignore me. But anyway. Yeah. I don't know. What are doing? Look at this later. Anyway, mild list for me, the conglomeration promo got on the mild list because it was one where I just went, it's fine. It's fine. Yeah. Yeah. It didn't do a lot for me one way or the other. And then Mm-hmm. Marina versus the Jobber is on my mild list. And that's the whole show. So nothing's on my Yep. Mayo. That was that was my mild too. Marina versus Artie in the Ring. Artie in the Ring Jones is what I wrote down. Artie in the Ring Jones, Rachel Armstrong is her name. So if she's gonna be Yeah. In the ring, someone should say her name. And they said it once, so I thought I'd say it again. Yeah, yeah. And I actually am going to use her first name when we get to it with for the nickname that I wrote down, which I will warn you now is very long, but anyway. Yeah. A lot of words in this one. Good. Looking forward to it. Looking forward to it. But anyway. Okay, so there you go. I mean, it's a pretty good show, clearly. Yeah. And let's talk about it. So first thing I noticed with Death Riders versus the Cut was kudos to Taz for trying to get the name The Cut Over. Yeah, good job. Good job, buddy. Mm-hmm. Yep. You're doing your job. Liked it. I thought Danny Garcia looked really good in this one. Like I thought he got some legit offense in, and I was kind of worried he was only there to like pop the Exactly. Crowd a little bit and then eat the pin. So I was it was nice to see him get some offense in there. Yeah, I thought Danny Garcia has been looking really good as of late. And he's Mm-hmm. Y you could tell like between him and Yuta who's getting who's getting the good stuff. Yeah, Yeah. But I did find it interesting in the post match scrum that Yuta actually got a pop and Schiavone even called it out. And I gotta give him credit when he sat down in the chair, crossed his legs, and then just did the come on. I was like, that was actually pretty funny. That was good. That was good. Yeah, that was really good. That's one of those little things that because it was he wasn't dead center when that happens, but when you see little things Mm-hmm. Like that, it's like hats off to Wheeler Yuta for continuing to put in the work and make things like that because it's those little things that really just it just sends it to a different level. And I really appreciate that. I thought that was dope as heck. Loved it. Yeah, I thought he did good there. So we're not getting a Blood and Guts match between these two groups, which you and I think thought were getting. Certainly did. However, I think Anarchy in the Arena at Full Gear for these two groups is good. I have no problem with that. I think that makes a lot of sense. Yep. I thought that was great. I wrote down that this feels like a legitimate feud. Like the way it Yes. Broke down afterwards, like this felt old school to me. This felt like when things were kind of just out there and wild and in the you know, in the territory days when like people would just come running up and beating hell out of each other. I and I just love that kind of thing. And I this just felt different. And again, I really like this clashing of these two groups. You know, just big groups that are just beating hell out of each other. And it just solidifies that the Death Riders, with you to get in a pop, you know, they're all faces now, man. They are just all over. So it's it's so good. Very happy with this match. This is this made my possible match of the night. Yeah, I get that. It was definitely on my possible match of the night list. There are a couple that are on the list, as per usual, but Yep. One of the other little things that I think is really fun to see is when Finley stepped on Mox's hand so he couldn't leave his corner. Again, a little bitty thing, so smart. Just makes him Mm-hmm. Look like he's smarter than anyone in the ring and it Makes so much sense. Again, when you do little things that make sense, it's like, why aren't more people doing things like that? I just, so good. Love stuff like that. Yeah. No, I agree. And I think you nailed it when you said it just it feels like these groups legit hate each other. And I love it. It's super fun. I love it. Yeah. Yep. Good stuff. Then we would get the video from Collision for Wrathlander declaring Blood and Guts along with Willow. And I really only point that out because it made the Blood and Guts match for the women officially for next week. So Mm-hmm. We know we're getting that. Then Jack Perry and Kyle Fletcher would square off. And I didn't put it on the hot list, but I probably should have. Tony Schiavone, line of the night. And I quote, is there a rule for biting in the crotch? Yeah. That is pretty good. But I it thank Mm. You for saying that because it reminds me I had a potential line of the night from Taz from the first match. When Taz says two, three, four, one, two times. Whatever. I just went. Yeah. Two, three, four, one. I'm okay. I mean, okay. Look, look, at no point in his life did Taz claim to be good at anything involving math. You know what, that's fair. That's fair. He's the he's the suplex machine, not the adding machine. So No, no. Mm-hmm. He's not a calculator. Correct. Yeah. That was not the gimmick. Yep. I man, I really liked this match a lot. I thought it was really good. I did too. The brain buster on the rope, which I'm not sure if they did that on purpose or not, but woof. I don't think so either. I don't think so either, but it seems like Jack's okay, so I don't think so. I do not think so. I you know you've mentioned this before. We both talked about it, but this probably should have made my hot list too. Kyle Fletcher may have some of the best facial expressions selling in the game right now. It's so over the top it feels genuine. It is if that makes any sense. It's Yeah. Yeah. I love it. And again, that's a mm, when you when they crank that thing up to ten and they start doing those little things that really make you notice it's like, Wow, that guy's good. It's gonna When he does the like he c he, you know, like rolls through with like right, like he takes a big bump and he kind of rolls through and he ends up in a seated position, the way he just slumps and he'll usually like do the like Yeah. And he's got that kind of thousand yard stare. It's great. Like, I know it's not real. I know it's not real, but I don't care. It's great. It sells the move so well Mm-hmm. And sells so perfectly that here's this guy that's like Okay, that sucked. I need a minute. You know, like it's great. It's great. I love when he does that. He's he's really clicking on all cylinders. I mean, he pretty much always is, but I think he's been really, really good of late. But I loved this match. I'm with you. I thought it was a great match and I teased it. Yes, I did crown this my match of the night. I liked it that much. I thought it was really good. I thought Jack was competitive in it, which I wasn't entirely certain he was gonna be in the beginning of it. You know, because Right. Of the way that he's been losing a lot and he you know, he had some really good nonverbals in there too when he was kind of staggered and Mm-hmm. Again kind of that dazed look but just stood in there and took shots. Like I really enjoyed it. I still don't have any idea where we're going with this with Jack Perry. No. I don't get it, but I don't dislike it, you know. Right. It's got my attention. It's got me a little bit intrigued. So that's a always a good thing for them. And like I said, this was a banger of a match. It's my match of the night. Here's here's what has me intrigued and going, huh. And it involves Samoa Joe. Because A, Jack tried to use the muscle buster, didn't get it done. That's a ref yeah, and they even called it out. Using Joe's. But then at the end, in the aftermath, when Fletcher's being held up by the two goons, he says, I am the rightful, you know, I pinned the champ. I should be Yeah. The champ. I'm getting the shot. And I'm I'm and he's like, no one else should get it, or something like that. And I'm thinking, Joe said the same thing last week. I think Joe's gonna have a problem with that. So I don't know if Joe's Yeah, I agree. Gonna cost him the match at Full Gear, but I can't imagine Joe making that statement and being cool with Fletcher getting the shot before him. I just can't. Yeah. And I had that thought. So in when I, you know, when they moved to that postmatch promo and he calls out Ospreay and he calls for the title shot. I actually wrote down it seems a little fast for that to me. And I know I know all the history between them. I get it. And I know it's going to be a great match. So I literally wrote down seems a little fast, but hey, why not? Right. But then I had this the that thought. I went, but wait a minute. It kind of felt like Joe was more in line for Mm-hmm. The shot. And that's really what I thought were gonna get at Full Gear. So I'm I'm with you. Samoa Joe is going to play into this somehow. I'm just not sure how yet. Mm-hmm. And I don't know if we're gonna find out next week because of Blood and Guts, but we might we might. Right. Yeah. I thought were gonna get I thought they were gonna stick a match in Blood and Guts, like a rando match. And if they do we may see and I don't think they've announced it yet. If they need it They announced a lot of the card at the end of the show. There's gonna be a lot of stuff in there. Yeah. I thought For Blood and Guts, or was it for folding or collision? It was for Blood and Guts. But maybe. I misunderstood. No, I doubt it. I wasn't paying attention. I mean, again, to be fair, I had baseball going at the same time, so I might I might not have fully understood, but yeah. That's okay. But this did not make my match tonight, but it's super close. Super close. Yeah, totally get that. Yep. So anyway, we'll see how Joe factors into that. Again, super intriguing. And I am like I said, I feel like it's a touch fast, especially because you hadn't like I know Fletcher wins a lot, but you hadn't had him on a heater like you know, Andrade has been on or et cetera. But again, I don't care because the match is gonna be good. I don't care. Mm-hmm. Yep. I'm fine with it. Who cares? Remind me of that the next time I'm hammering them on something that I was like, but there's I don't care. I'm We'll do. We'll do. Sure the comment section will. Then we would get that Blood and Guts promo video that you mentioned, which I bring up for two reasons. Number one, the Okada finger was tremendous, but also I love Dean Malenko, and it was just nice to Thank you. Get a shot, get a look at him, get a quick couple shots of him and to hear his voice. I love Dean Malenko. I've always been a fan of his. I wrote two things down. Dean Malenko narrates Okada's pick. It's all I wrote down. And you nailed both of them. I was like, Yep, that's I'm into it. Into it. Yeah. Yeah, that's all you need. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Always been a big fan of Dean Malenko, so that was cool. It's they're about to go to the bottom of the ninth, by the way. So if I get distracted, that's why. Then we would get what's that? There you go. Then Renee was with the Not a problem. If you get distracted, anesthesia will take over. Can you hear the word? New Level, which was very good Yes. Because If you didn't see it on social media, Creed and Kofi had both like called out the like, no, no, no, no, no. We're not on board with this. My favorite was Kofi's, I'm sorry, Texas what match, you Do Know, post. I thought that was very good. Mm-hmm. I was like, did I miss something with the whole where's Bandito thing? Had they set that up that he was missing prior to Brody coming out? Nope. Nope. They did not. Okay, so I didn't miss something. You like I gotta run to the bathroom Nope, and I wasn't watching Sometimes. I wasn't watching ba baseball. So when Brody came out just shouting, Where's Bandito? I went, okay, Swerve's got him. Swerve's got him. Well, yeah. Yeah. But I was just like, did I miss him? Did they do it on collision? Like, okay. The couple other things that I really liked here, which is what helped boost this onto my hot list. Kofi's high pitched bark was great when they were doing the Brody King bark. And I like Hangman being the voice of reason here. I think that's Yes, my god, that was so funny. Mm-hmm. Yep. Very interesting for a guy who's been, you know, kind of a hothead through his whole tenure in AEW. I think that's very interesting. Yeah, I liked that. And it made me it sparked a question in my mind. And I'm probably just overthinking this because it's pro wrestling. But I wrote down, Is New Level playing Bro-Hango? That's a great question. And you're right, because it's pro wrestling, I think that's something that is genuinely a possibility. I mean, because they're playing all the right cards. They're playing, look, Mm-hmm. We've been here seven weeks, you know, and with Creed going, I don't want to be in a match where I have to die to lose. It's like, no, no, Right. Yeah. No. You know, and he's like, I like Bandito, I like Brody, even kind of like Hangman, I like these guys. It's fine. It almost feels like they're trying like, and if that's how it is, great, love it, not gonna complain. But because it's bro wrestling, it makes me think, okay. They're just laying the groundwork so that we bite too and then when they go, Haha, Texas death. I don't know. It's just it's just a question. I don't know. Yeah. No, I and I think it's a very good and very relevant question. And it's just like with the Joe thing, we shall see how it asserts itself. Yes. Let's go with that. Speaking of asserting itself, my cat is asserting herself on the keyboard. She's like humping your leg? What is No. Take it down. Okay. Then the Don Callis promo, which was excellent. Again, Okada, tremendous here. Just everything he does right now is so good. So, so good. Then FTR and Motor City Machine Guns match number three, which Yeah. Would go to Motor City Machine Guns. That was just a lot of fun. That was just a really fun, good old fashioned tag team match, man. I am so loving this series. I wish they I don't know if have they announced number four for collision yet? I don't think so. Or is that gonna be on Well, I gotta believe that match five is gonna be on Full Gear. So Mm-hmm. I don't think they have announced it for collision yet. But again, two TVs, so I may have missed it. Right. I don't think they did, but I would like to see that like as a match between the Blood and Guts matches. I think that would be perfectly acceptable. Yeah, I would too. I think that would make a lot of sense. Yeah. One of the things I really liked about this match that you don't see this hardly ever anymore. The ref actually stopped interference from the outside. Yes. I was like, What's happening? To the point where literally I wrote it down 'cause I was like, you Just don't you don't see that. So Mm-mm. That probably should have made my hot list because you just don't see that anymore. And I really enjoyed that. So way to go. No, that's a great point. And actually we'll play into something later that I was like, hmm, on the it's the other way. It's not it wasn't bad enough to make like the mayo list, but it was one that I was just like, okay, but you know, I'm gonna it's when I get nitpicky. Right. Yep. Then Britt, Persephone, and Queen Aminata were with Lexi Nair and Brit was great. I loved the like rapid fire insults. Like that was really funny. Yes. Yes. You're stupid. We're smart. I'm just like, God, Yeah. That's so funny. Yeah. Like it was so wonderfully schoolyard and I loved it. Mm-hmm. I did not realize that they were doing this tonight and not at Full Gear. I do kind of wish it had been at Full Gear. However, with how it would play itself out, I'm not mad at it. And we'll probably get the rematch there is my guess. More than likely. That's my guess. More than likely. Then Ciampa came out to cut a promo, which I actually kind of liked. I like the version of him that he's kind of morphing into of like, yeah, he can do the goofy stuff, but he's also being a bit more serious and doing the whole like, I'm here to win championships and to show you that I am AEW's best signing ever, which when he said that I was like, Okay. And then I should have known exactly what was coming on his heels, but I didn't. And of course that was their most recent signing. Ilja Dragunov would come out and call him out and it's like I said when he debuted, I love this as the first feud for Dragunov and AEW. I think these two guys make a tremendous amount of sense together. I love this too. But if you remember, this could have moved down to mild for me for two reasons. One, this should have happened last week, and I think the role should have been reversed. I think Ciampa, and I think even said it last week, Ciampa should have been the one to come out and confront Dragunov immediately. And been like, who do you think you are? I, you know. Because now it's this weird you have basically the overface being the aggressor and kind of doing the heel thing of you're not so bad. I'm the it felt like it was reversed, and that's my biggest issue with this is I just felt like because of how they're trying to pitch Ciampa right now, I think it felt like he should have been the one. Do it and I understand that Dragunov he's the guy you know I can beat anybody I'll take on anybody I'm the I'm the tough guy I get that I understand that I don't think having Ciampa do reverse the roles would have hurt his character in any way shape or form so that's my own and I know that's me nitpicking because I love the fact that we're gonna get it. I just wish we would have seen it last week and the roles reversed. That's all That's fair. And I hear what you're saying. I think it makes sense for Dragunov and his character of exactly what you said of like, I am here to be violent, and who Mm-hmm. Better to be violent with than a psycho killer, right? Like I think I think it makes sense for the way he, Well You know, the way that character is and the way he is presented. I don't think you're Yeah. Wrong. I think it makes sense, but I hear what you're saying, and I would not have been upset if they had done it the reverse way. What Mm-hmm. I will say is. This feud, this program, this match will slap. Quite literally, it is gonna slap. And it's No. It's gonna be really good. Gonna be really good. And they are gonna beat the ever-loving tar out of each other. And also Ciampa conducting with the middle finger. Funny. Really good. Really good touch. Loved it. Yep. And I liked him pausing and what do you call him? A a jackass? Is that what he said in the corner? Just taking time and like Yeah, I think so, or something like that. Yeah. Looking at the crowd and then going, Jackass. It's again, Yeah. Yeah. These little touches, I'm a big fan of, big fan of. Yep. Yep. Really, really liked it. Renee would be with the conglomeration then, which I have nothing to add other than what I said in the heat check of it was fine. It didn't do anything for me either way. It was fine. It happened. Okay. Yep. Serviceable. Yep. Set up a match for collision. Okay. Mm-hmm. Moving on. Then Marina would take on. You ready for this one? Get comfortable because it's a long one. Marina Shafir would take on. Rachel about to get her ass whipped worse than St. Louis style pizza tastes. That's her full name. Armstrong. You forgot the That's really good. That's really good. Yep. Armstrong, yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. That's that's her full name. Yeah. And you know how I feel about these. I have nothing to say. I well, If I made I will say this. I will say this. I think I don't know if it was Taz. No, it was Mox that said it of well, she's the only one in St. Louis that would step up. That was a nice touch. That I actually liked of like, we put Yes. Yep. Out the call and she was the only one. That I liked. Otherwise, though, Yep, that made sense. You know how I feel about these. Plus, I you probably missed it because baseball. Right when Mox was sitting down at the desk and they hadn't really closed did a close up yet, and they were kind of pulling away. Pretty sure we caught Mox dipping, getting ready to shove it into his lip. He had it in I did not see that, but that's funny. His hand he starts doing this, and they like the then they cut away. And it wasn't like a real close up, it was a wide shot. So I was like, did we just Yeah. Catch Mox dipping? What? Quite possibly. Yeah. Yeah, there's that. Yep. Then Mercedes would come out to face off with Marina. I will say when they caught Mox laughing after the first slap, that was really funny. I really liked that. My god, yes. Yes. And here's what I wrote down. This scrum was not as good as the first one between The Cut and the Death Riders until Claudio came out. I'll give you that. I'll give you that. I didn't at first I was just sort of like, okay, whatever. But then when he came out and catching the trash can after he threw it into the face of whichever Billy Gunn Kidd, that was awesome. That was so cool. Yeah, mine Kidd one. Yeah. That should have made my hot list. Too. That was so cool. I think they're doing a great job of rebuilding him after we haven't really seen him do a lot lately. Right. I mean, kind of for months, he hasn't done a lot. Nope. They're doing a great job of rebuilding him and reminding you this dude can absolutely wreck people when Just yeah, He wants to. Loved it. Loved it. Yeah. I thought this was so good. So good. I loved when Marina was in the ring after the first slap and she put her hands behind her back and said, do better. Loved it. And Mox's face was the other thing I really liked. Here's here's something that It didn't make sense to me in this. And I almost hate to say anything about it because I love I'm really loving the momentum Marina Shafir has is having. At the end when I don't remember who wa who it was that jumped Moxley first. I think it was Finley. Yeah. I think Connors is the first one that hit that I saw anyway. Think y whoever jumped him. They're beating him up. Marina's outside the ring. Mercedes is inside. Marina looks, has zero reaction, and then goes looking for Mercedes. Again, I hate to even bring it up, but in my humble opinion, Marina should have gone over there and left it on Mercedes' shoulders to engage, re-engage with her, not the other one. And that is. I totally agree. I'm glad you brought that up. Yeah. That's me nitpicking, but I don't think it is a nitpick because I caught it too. I just didn't write it down, so I'd forgotten about it, but I caught that too, where I was like, Marina gets out of the ring is clearly, clearly Milwaukee just won the World Series. Congratulations to the Brewers. I like Woo! First time ever, man. I like I yeah, I like the Brewers. I love the city of Milwaukee. It's an amazing city. If you've never been, go. I'm a big Yep. Super fun. Fan of the Brewers. They are arguably my second favorite team. I have a hat in a different room. But anyway, congratulations to the Brewers. That's fun. I was like, there's no hat behind you, dude. I don't know what you're pointing at, but It is behind. I just heard my wife go, yay. She had it on too. It is behind me. You just can't see it because there's a wall and a door in the way. But You're right, that's my fault. Anyway, good for Milwaukee. I'm happy. I'm a happy boy now. But anyway, Nice. Nice. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Going back to that. So Marina clearly looks right at Mox getting attacked. And in you're right, she does nothing. And she almost just like. It almost felt to me like Mercedes was supposed to be there faster or something, because it almost looked like she was waiting. But I Yes. Yeah. Agree. In that moment, you've got to do what your character would do. And your character would clearly get involved in that. So go and try and pull Connors or whoever it was off of him and let Mercedes come to you. It would have been Yep. Far more believable. I totally agree with you on that. I don't know what happened there, but yeah. Yeah. I th I think it's just one of those cases where she was waiting for her next move or whatever and didn't w for whatever reason. And again, I don't wanna I'm not taking anything away from Marina Shafir. I do agree with Mox. I think she's one of the most improved wrestlers in the last couple of years. I think she's been doing a great job. I absolutely love the fact that she's getting this shot, but that really hurt to see that. I really hated seeing Yep. That. Yep. I agree. It was a rough moment in and it's a moment. Let me be clear. Yep. Yep. I use that word specifically. It's not a huge deal, but it was a rough little thing that happened in an otherwise really good show. And I get it, it's live TV, things are gonna happen, but you just gotta I think that's one of those where a producer or somebody needs to tell her, and maybe they already did it backstage, like, hey. Next time you're in that situation, because you will be, Yeah. Yeah. Potentially as early as next week, just go. Just react the way that your character would just go. And Mercedes is enough of a pro to know what to do. Just go, right? So yep. Worry about the other person picking up the slack. Just do what you're gonna do. Exactly. Then we would move to Josh Alexander and Darby for the TNT title, which was an excellent match. Again. I every time I watch Darby wrestle, I just think about what you said however long ago of DDP is gonna have to fix him someday. Good God. Those bumps he took My god, yes. Yes. On the ring apron, my god. My god. There was more than one. That yeah. Yeah. I wrote down well let's see. I wrote down here's what I wrote down. You tell me if I before the match even starts, I just wrote down Alexander for Darby for the title. I wrote down I think Josh should win. I thought he should have too. I agree. Think he should win and it'll play into when this is all done. I have a little fantasy thing that I think this him winning tonight would have helped with, but it's just a fantasy thing in my head, so we can get to that later. But I wrote Okay. Down Josh's crossbody between the ropes on Darby and then Mm-hmm. The dragon screws into the barricade and the steps. I was I don't know if I've seen that happen before, but man I don't know if I have either. Yeah. Ha headgear off to Josh Alexander because that was amazing. Loved it. Mm-hmm. Loved it. Okay. You need to go. Talking to my cat, not Tim, in case you're not watching the YouTube. I know Yeah, I know. Although I could go You knew that. I hope you knew that. Yeah, I guess that's true. There are people that listen and don't watch on YouTube. That's true. But Yeah. But they should watch. Yeah, no, I totally agree with you on that. I mean, it was nuts. It was really close to my match of the night. Like I strongly Yeah. Considered this for match of the night. One thing that hurt it is what I alluded to earlier. Bryce Remsburg. My guy. You're yelling at Josh Alexander. Don't tombstone him through the chairs. Don't do it. Get him in the ring. Be in the Mm-hmm. Yep. Ring. This was not a no DQ match. That is a disqualification, my man. You should have DQ'd him there. Why didn't he just move the chairs? Just move the chairs. Yeah. Yeah, you could do that. You're the ref. Move the chairs. Yeah, that sequence. That wasn't my favorite. But otherwise, really, really, really good match. Yeah. Liked it a lot. Again, almost made my match of the night. It wasn't same. Yep. Then Steven Borden would cut a promo. Yeah. That was pretty good. I liked it. I thought that was really good. I thought Yeah, he did a nice job there. Honestly, I thought it was better and I know why he did it, but I thought it was better than Darby's I don't want to talk. I want blood and I want guts. I agree. I understand why it all happened. Yep. But any hoodle. But I agree. Yep. But I agree. Yep. And then it would be our other main event, Queen Aminata and Persephone for the TBS Championship. Mm-hmm. The only thing I wrote down was, whoa, I am stunned. Yep. And that is why that's my match of the night. That's fair. I thought it was good. I thought it was really good. It was good. But the fact that they did it, even better. Hats off, like I said, I was pleased as sh as heck that they were in the main event. And then the fact that Queen Aminata took the title, loved it, and then to see all the love she got from the locker room. And for a second, her reaction was so genuine. I almost thought to myself, did they not tell her and want it and only told Aubrey and Persephone that this is how it was gonna go? Because she genuinely looked A, surprised and B, of course, grateful, but it I don't know, man. I don't know. I It would make me grin if they didn't tell her and let it be a surprise, but I liked it. I just thought it Was really good. I thought it was really cool that she won. So yeah. No, I agree. I agree with all that. To what you were talking about earlier of, you know, it's pro wrestling, right? And you sometimes overthink things when the baby faces came out. I'm not kidding. I kept going, who's about to turn on her? Right? I had the same thought and I'm so glad it didn't happen. Me too. So glad it didn't happen. Yep. Now that's the show. Now, let me get back to my fantasy booking. Here's why I think Josh Alexander should have won tonight. Because you've got The Cut and the Death Riders just going after each other. Now is the perfect time for the Don Callis Family to start sniping titles. So that by the time the fallout from the Death Riders and the Cut starts to settle. Those two factions will look up and be like, What the hell? The Don Callis Family potentially could have the world title, they could have the tag titles, they could have the TNT title. Okada's got the international. Yep. He's got the international title. So the only people without titles are RPG Vice and the Jet, but there's another title running around the Jet could grab. But I just thought in my head, I'm like, this makes so much sense. And for someone like Don Callis, it would make sense in this situation. Because the family's finally, they're back on the same page. Like I said, Death Riders and the Cut are just beating hell out of each other, which I love. I don't know. I just thought in my head, in my little fantasy perfect world in wrestling head, that this was a slightly missed opportunity, but only for me in my head. I'm not saying they missed it for anyone else, but just in my head. No, I think it makes sense. I thought Josh should have won here. I didn't think he was gonna, but I thought he should. Yep. I thought it would have been more interesting. Mm-hmm. Particularly headed into Blood and Guts. Yeah. But yeah, I agree with you. I think it makes total sense for Don Callis and his family to just start sniping. I think that makes a lot of sense right now. But here we are. I don't know. Yeah, I mean, again, I'm not complaining because I loved this show. I thought and I agree with you with the second beatdown, but I'm glad they did it because it like I said, it just makes that feud feel so much more legit because it's like not only did we beat you down once, we beat you down twice and we took your monster out. Yep. That's that's good stuff right there. Really good stuff. Yeah. Yep. No, I agree. Like I said, once Claudio showed up, everything else was really good. And I like how Schiavone called him he's like Frankenstein. Yeah. That was good. Yeah. Villagers are coming after him, man. You better watch out. Yeah. So good show. Yeah. Really good. Really good show. Not gonna complain. Cause I want to keep it positive. Thought it was great. There's not much to complain about. Mm-mm. So all right. Well, then with that, I guess we'll go. Yeah.
