Whoever wins on Tuesday, the next fight in American politics won’t be between the parties. It will be inside them.
Every solid indicator, from the polls to grassroots fundraising to early voting in key swing states, shows Democrats more motivated than Republicans by a large margin. It seems likely Democrats will win a House majority, but the Senate outcome is less clear. I still won’t predict winners, but I am ready to talk about what happens Wednesday morning.
