  So listen, the past week we Queenslanders here in Australia,

  we've seen some fairly horrific headlines regarding violence

  toward children. We saw the Korean male headline

  things just yesterday, a father saying I'm happy she died when
• 0:45
  talking about his, I think his 8 year old daughter.

  So another article goes on to further explain that the parents
• 0:54
  of a young girl who slowly died as they purposely deprived her
• 1:00
  of medication in line with the extreme beliefs of their cult
• 1:04
  like religious group which deemed modern medicine
• 1:08
  witchcraft, displayed grave moral guilt and disregard for
• 1:13
  human life. So First off, if you follow the
• 1:18
  Bible, follow the teachings in the Bible at all, and you
• 1:21
  believe, OK, that's insulin, insulin could be deemed as
• 1:28
  witchcraft. You are in in the Bible.

  We're on Wednesday found guilty of the manslaughter of their

  eight year old daughter Elizabeth in their Toowoomba

  home in January 20, 2212. Other members of their religious

  group, known as the Saints than Anything but Saints, who prayed

  and sang in delusional hopes that God would raise Elizabeth

  from the dead, were also found guilty of manslaughter.

  Elizabeth was described as a vibrant, happy child with her

  whole life ahead of her, who had been diagnosed with type 1

  diabetes requiring life long insulin dependency about 2 1/2

  years before her death. Both of her parents had

  previously been prosecuted for failing to provide her the

  necessities of life when she fell gravely ill in 2019 and was

  rushed to hospital by Jason minutes before minutes from
• 2:49
  death. Jason, then an atheist, claimed

  at the time that Elizabeth's true condition had been played
• 2:55
  down by his wife, whose religious group viewed God's
• 3:00
  ability to heal sickness as a central tenant of their faith,

  and that doctors or medicine were largely treated with
• 3:08
  contempt by members. More than one accused described

  the practise of medicine medicine as witchcraft, Justice

  after he delivered his verdict in the Supreme Court in

  we saw another headline stating woman charged of the death of

  nine year old boy in Townsville. The article goes on to say that

  emergency services were called to a property on Charles St in

  Townsville at about 7:00 PM on Saturday.

  Police say the boy was found dead. 24 year old woman, 24, was
• 4:32
  arrested at the scene and charged with murder.

  Another article goes on to say that the 9 year old boy has
• 4:39
  since been identified as Ty Lee Ned.

  According to Sky News, while the masthead identified that the 24
• 4:45
  year old woman as Shenada Kakadu, Townsville Police
• 4:50
  Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Miles alleged the boy had
• 4:53
  suffered a significant head injury consistent with blunt
• 4:58
  force trauma. Sergeant Miles said whether a
• 5:01
  weapon was involved in the boy's alleged murder would form part
• 5:06
  of the investigation. But is it any surprise that a
• 5:14
  nation that accepts the killing of the unborn all the way up
• 5:20
  till birth also has an issue with violence against children,
• 5:26
  Violence against women, such serious domestic violence that
• 5:30
  we've seen in the last couple of years, Whether it's withholding
• 5:35
  life saving medicine or physically beating a child to
• 5:38
  death or taking the life of the unborn in the womb, murder is
• 5:44
  murder. So if you look up

  Children have a special place in God's heart, and anyone who
• 5:59
  harms a child is inviting God's wrath upon himself.

  When Jesus disciples tried to keep children from coming to

  Jesus, coming to meet parents or bringing their children up and

  wanting their children to come and meet with Jesus, Jesus
• 6:16
  rebuked his disciples, rebuked his disciples.

  His disciples were stopping the children from coming to see him.

  Jesus rebuked the disciples. He rebuked Peter, John, all of

  them rebuked them and welcomed the children to his side,

  saying, let the little children come to me and do not hinder

  them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

  blessed them. Verse 16.

  The Bible promotes child blessing, not child abuse.

  Children abused and mistreated in far too many different ways

  these days, and all of which are abhorrent to God.

  The Bible prohibits child abuse in its warnings against improper

  anger. Too many children are the
• 7:19
  victims of angry beatings, which is very likely what happened
• 7:24
  with the the 9 year old who was hit over the head and killed.

  Too many children are the victims of angry beatings and
• 7:33
  other physical abuse as their parents take out their own anger
• 7:37
  and frustration on their children.

  Though some forms of physical discipline, discipline which is
• 7:44
  very different to beatings discipline may be biblically
• 7:48
  acceptable, such discipline should never be administered in
• 7:53
  anger. But like I said, is it any
• 7:55
  surprise that a nation that accepts the killing of the
• 7:58
  unborn all the way up to birth also has an issue with violence

  against children? We choose as a nation to
• 8:09
  blatantly ignore the commandments Thou shalt not
• 8:14
  murder when it comes to the termination of unborn children,
• 8:20
  or has, as we like to call it, abortion.

  Just to you know, words matter and we downplay what's actually
• 8:27
  happening. You are taking the life of an
• 8:30
  unborn child. We are allowing unborn children
• 8:34
  to be murdered on an hourly basis.
• 8:39
  So is it any wonder that we have a problem with violence against
• 8:43
  children in this nation? We cannot even, we cannot even
• 8:48
  protect the unborn. We refuse to protect the unborn.

  I'm going to talk further on this issue later in the week,

  but I just think it's something that we as a people, we as a
• 9:03
  country really need to reflect on.

  We, we're not protecting the unborn.

  We allow the termination of the unborn suit simply because it
• 9:14
  suits our lifestyle, simply because birthing a child doesn't
• 9:18
  fit into our life plan. It's inconvenient at the time.

  It doesn't suit where we want to go in life.

  It maybe it just doesn't suit our job prospects, our career
• 9:30
  prospects. Is it any wonder that we have an
• 9:36
  issue with violence when we refuse to protect the unborn?

  As I said earlier, the Bible tells us that children have a
• 9:46
  special place in God's heart, and anyone who harms a child is
• 9:51
  inviting God's wrath upon themselves.

  I think this is something that we as people need to reflect

  upon. And if if you're in some kind of
• 10:04
  cult and you're thinking that medicine is witchcraft, I'm
• 10:08
  talking medicine, not drugs. Something like insulin is
• 10:13
  witchcraft. You need to read your Bible
• 10:17
  properly. This is all my opinion.
