- 0:38Speaker 5: Hey, guys, just a piece of advice. Do not shave
- 0:42Speaker 5: in the dark because this morning, you know.
- 0:45Speaker 6: I just like to take my shower in the morning,
- 0:47Speaker 6: like not dark dark real pretty dark.
- 0:50Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't want to turn all the bright lights on.
- 0:53Speaker 6: And so I was shaving this morning, shaving my legs
- 0:57Speaker 6: and I felt like myself just like right on the bone,
- 0:59Speaker 6: like of your skin, like you know, and I was like, oh,
- 1:02Speaker 6: why did I do this?
- 1:03Speaker 5: It was a brand new like I just switched off
- 1:05Speaker 5: the razor.
- 1:06Speaker 6: But that's what I was trying not to be today. Okay, gotcha, Sorry,
- 1:11Speaker 6: I get out of the shower I'm like, oh man,
- 1:13Speaker 6: there's a blood all over my leg.
- 1:15Speaker 5: It's a whole thing.
- 1:16Speaker 6: And I take care of it, you know, I do
- 1:18Speaker 6: whatever I gotta do. And then I'm getting dressed in
- 1:20Speaker 6: my shirt. I'm just like not thinking and my shirt
- 1:23Speaker 6: goes down apparently touched my leg.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Didn't realize it was still bleeding. I put my shirt
- 1:28Speaker 5: on it. I was like, oh, like, I just came
- 1:30Speaker 5: out of a horror film. Look at you this morning.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's your hairless.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that's true.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Another thing.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Soon as Canus got here, thank you, okay, And then
- 1:40Speaker 4: soon as Kanus got here, she spilled coffee everywhere.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:43Speaker 5: Well, I was shaking the creamer in my coffee.
- 1:45Speaker 6: You were telling me a story or you said you
- 1:47Speaker 6: went down a rabbit hole or.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Something you were going to tell me about later.
- 1:50Speaker 6: And so I looked up and I was shaking the
- 1:51Speaker 6: creamer and then I was like, oh god, there's coffee.
- 1:54Speaker 6: Thankfully I had a piece of paper like right here
- 1:56Speaker 6: and landed on the paper and not my shirt.
- 1:58Speaker 5: But I'm a mess.
- 2:00Speaker 1: You are a mess. Well, everybody's shaking today.
- 2:01Speaker 4: You're shaking. Now, what in the world is this thing?
- 2:06Speaker 4: Who can you explain what you brought in and you
- 2:08Speaker 4: said it's changing your life.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yes, I finally got my lymphatic drainage plate.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Yeah you know, well.
- 2:16Speaker 7: You know I've been on the TikTok shot like strong
- 2:20Speaker 7: for the past at least a dread wig.
- 2:27Speaker 1: You got that from. What else are you getting from
- 2:30Speaker 1: a TikTok shot? Some supplements? Supplement?
- 2:34Speaker 4: What don't get your supplements off the TikTok shots?
- 2:38Speaker 1: Well, they were vitamins. Yeah, I mean, where are they
- 2:41Speaker 1: coming from? Oh? I don't know, but there don't put stuff.
- 2:44Speaker 4: In your body that you don't know where it's coming from.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Your body's a temple kind of listen.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I looked at that, and then I looked at Amazon
- 2:51Speaker 1: and they had the same brand. So I was like, okay,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I'll just get them from the TikTok shot. Okay, Curt
- 2:56Speaker 1: you Well I had some TikTok credits and I was like.
- 2:59Speaker 5: What are you?
- 2:59Speaker 1: A fourteen year old girl?
- 3:01Speaker 6: Someone explained that TikTok shopped me because I don't have TikTok.
- 3:04Speaker 1: If you have, like I, if you sign up for
- 3:07Speaker 1: a certain site, I'll get credit for it, you know
- 3:10Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 3:11Speaker 4: So so you put something up on your TikTok page
- 3:14Speaker 4: that you know people you like well, and if they
- 3:16Speaker 4: buy it from your page, that you get credit.
- 3:19Speaker 1: No, no, not that way.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Like if I tell you, like, if you're not on
- 3:22Speaker 7: TikTok all the time and I seen you this site
- 3:24Speaker 7: and you sign up for that, then I get credit
- 3:27Speaker 7: for it.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So okay, yeah, I was gonna do that. I don't know,
- 3:30Speaker 1: but I have a feeling that's not how it works.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Well, my my fourteen year old Brendan was the first
- 3:35Speaker 7: one who did it because he got some shoes and
- 3:37Speaker 7: I was like, oh, all I gotta do is so I.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Sent it to my aunt and she downloaded like a
- 3:41Speaker 1: multi level. Yeah, so I got some credit and.
- 3:44Speaker 7: I was like, oh, let me buy this drainage plate
- 3:46Speaker 7: because I kept seeing all these videos and I was like,
- 3:49Speaker 7: let me do that.
- 3:49Speaker 1: All right, I got to drainage plate.
- 3:51Speaker 4: You step on this thing and it vibrates your entire body.
- 3:54Speaker 4: And who's been doing it, and I've been talking so
- 3:56Speaker 4: much crap.
- 3:57Speaker 1: About it was he was hating on it. Then he
- 3:59Speaker 1: got on it, and what happened canas I just got
- 4:01Speaker 1: on it. Yeah, I'm tingling. Nice. I don't know why
- 4:05Speaker 1: I'm tingling.
- 4:06Speaker 5: But I am Okay, it's supposed to do as.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You tell me.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I trust your medical advice. Yeah, you're a judge and
- 4:12Speaker 4: a doctor.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Is this thing helping me?
- 4:15Speaker 5: Yeah? It should.
- 4:16Speaker 6: I help water retention and help get all the limph
- 4:18Speaker 6: moving in your body that you just normally can't move
- 4:20Speaker 6: if you don't move your body enough for get.
- 4:22Speaker 5: The right massage.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I move my body.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Well, yeah, but you've.
- 4:25Speaker 6: Been sleeping all night, right, Yeah, and it helps with
- 4:27Speaker 6: recovery from your muscles from yesterday taking the lactic acid.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Look at me, look at poo and I. Well, let's
- 4:33Speaker 4: get on this plate together. I don't know if it
- 4:34Speaker 4: has a weight limit.
- 4:36Speaker 1: He's more active than I am, so I know it's
- 4:38Speaker 1: gonna help it.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I don't know, but I have problems with my right leg,
- 4:41Speaker 4: you know, because it's just been.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Injured so many times.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I got in that little plate and I feel like
- 4:45Speaker 4: it's moving. Yeah, I feel stronger.
- 4:50Speaker 5: That's good.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, you get those rubber bands around your knees.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Feel lighter than I like. Your limbs should feel lighter.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, my lymph notes feel flexible. Okay, he was tor Yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 1: I was good.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Yeah, you were.
- 5:03Speaker 4: I'm gonna put on a song and just get back out.
- 5:05Speaker 4: I might do the show from the.
- 5:09Speaker 2: New Mixed one O two point nine.
- 5:12Speaker 8: Test Top Stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid
- 5:14Speaker 8: in the.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Morning only on the new Mixed one O two point nine.
- 5:18Speaker 1: He came to slow pass what's up?
- 5:19Speaker 6: Well, it's back to school for more districts today, like
- 5:22Speaker 6: Alan McKinney, Ditton and Rockwall. The date FYI is August thirteenth.
- 5:27Speaker 6: But if you haven't heard, there is a group of lawmakers,
- 5:30Speaker 6: including a state rep from Denton County, who are now
- 5:33Speaker 6: proposing a change to the school calendar. It's so funny
- 5:36Speaker 6: that they're coming out with this, you know, today or
- 5:38Speaker 6: last night. But he's pushing to move the start of
- 5:41Speaker 6: the school year until September and move the end of
- 5:44Speaker 6: the school year to late May or possibly June. So
- 5:47Speaker 6: he says it doesn't make sense for our economy, our
- 5:50Speaker 6: students and teachers, and it doesn't make sense for the grid.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Well, when I was younger and where I went to school,
- 5:55Speaker 4: and I grew up in Michigan, we didn't go back
- 5:58Speaker 4: to school till after Labor Day.
- 6:00Speaker 1: That's how we were.
- 6:01Speaker 5: It used to be that way.
- 6:02Speaker 1: It's to be a lot changed. Long summer.
- 6:05Speaker 6: Well, I know some people are saying, you know, they
- 6:08Speaker 6: can't change when the state testing happens, so they try
- 6:11Speaker 6: to get as much you know, instructional time leading up to.
- 6:14Speaker 5: The state tests as they can.
- 6:15Speaker 6: So if they don't move the date of the state
- 6:17Speaker 6: test and we start later, we get less education in before.
- 6:21Speaker 5: We have to take that test.
- 6:22Speaker 4: How does it affect the power grip. I mean, it's
- 6:24Speaker 4: a lot to get into, but it is. I guess
- 6:25Speaker 4: it does.
- 6:26Speaker 6: Yeah, He's like, you know, this is one of the
- 6:28Speaker 6: dumbest things we do as a state to start in
- 6:30Speaker 6: the middle.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Of the hottest mud.
- 6:32Speaker 1: It doesn't make sense.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 6: The proposals being called Save our Summer Act. And he's
- 6:38Speaker 6: also making the point of, you know, we got to
- 6:39Speaker 6: protect our students who do athletics and extracurriculars like ban
- 6:43Speaker 6: outside in this extreme heat.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Like my son plays football and yesterday, I
- 6:47Speaker 4: mean they were practicing at like five thirty.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I'm like, listen, you got it five thirty. You've got
- 6:51Speaker 1: to be careful.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 4: And you know what, I will give a lot of
- 6:55Speaker 4: credit to the coaches and the staff because they do
- 6:58Speaker 4: they make sure they're taken care of. There's high duration
- 7:00Speaker 4: stations they force break so they do the best they
- 7:03Speaker 4: can do.
- 7:04Speaker 1: But it's still like it's hot.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Yeah, it's very high.
- 7:07Speaker 6: We shouldn't get distracted from the data centers and the
- 7:09Speaker 6: grid issue. So you know, it's it's a lot going on,
- 7:12Speaker 6: but I'll keep you posted if anything comes with that.
- 7:14Speaker 4: I'm a little bit worried about this lymphatic drainage, like
- 7:17Speaker 4: you know, vibration plate that pour us because when he
- 7:21Speaker 4: gets on, I think it's sucking the power grid out.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Oh Abbot already text us and was like, oh, chill
- 7:29Speaker 4: out on the power grid. Oh boy, Poo's system is
- 7:32Speaker 4: we might have to do an out.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Is that what the lights refleshed?
- 7:38Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, guys, listen to this. A single ticket
- 7:41Speaker 6: bought in Illinois won a billion dollar.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Powerball jackpot last night. The prize has a cash value.
- 7:47Speaker 6: Of a little more than four hundred and fifty million
- 7:50Speaker 6: dollars before taxes. If it's taken as a lump sum,
- 7:53Speaker 6: it's the the eighth largest prize in the game's history.
- 7:58Speaker 5: Yeah, people have been waiting and watching.
- 7:59Speaker 6: To see what was going to happen with this power
- 8:01Speaker 6: ball because no one's hit it since I think may
- 8:03Speaker 6: good for them.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I know it must be nice. Good for you.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Real quick, guys, we have the first comment from Travis
- 8:10Speaker 6: Kelcey on the wedding. You know, people have been trying
- 8:12Speaker 6: to get a comment from Travis or Taylor, but obviously Travis,
- 8:15Speaker 6: is it a spring training or training camp with the Chiefs.
- 8:19Speaker 6: So someone asked him, you know, what's up with the
- 8:21Speaker 6: summer off season?
- 8:23Speaker 9: Man, wedding was the best night of my life. And
- 8:25Speaker 9: I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and uh,
- 8:29Speaker 9: you know, had fun with us.
- 8:30Speaker 10: So it was. It was a crazy night.
- 8:32Speaker 11: It was.
- 8:32Speaker 10: It was full of a lot of celebration.
- 8:33Speaker 1: But it's football, baby, It's okay.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Football. Yeah, so don't ask me again. Don't talk about
- 8:40Speaker 5: this again.
- 8:40Speaker 1: No, we're not talking about this.
- 8:41Speaker 5: Football baby asked me about the Chiefs.
- 8:44Speaker 1: He liked football. I don't know. I like him.
- 8:47Speaker 4: He's not a bad guy. It's just like he's trying
- 8:50Speaker 4: to downplay that. He just I mean, you want to
- 8:52Speaker 4: talk about hitting the power ball?
- 8:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he hit it for real and he's playing it
- 8:57Speaker 1: so chilly. Yeah, it was. It was a great day.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I happen to get married to the most powerful
- 9:02Speaker 4: woman on earth and she happened to be a billionaire
- 9:04Speaker 4: inside you know, He's like, yes, yeah, forget football.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Here you go. I'm Kandaslop fans here in Texas. Top
- 9:13Speaker 5: Stories on Mixed one or two point nine.
- 9:16Speaker 1: It's Mixed one or two point nine. And good morning,
- 9:18Speaker 1: Billy the Kid.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Candas slow pants producer, Pooh, let's get you hooked up
- 9:21Speaker 4: four pack of Rangers tickets right now?
- 9:22Speaker 1: Who's this?
- 9:23Speaker 2: Hi?
- 9:23Speaker 12: This is Amy?
- 9:24Speaker 5: Amy?
- 9:24Speaker 1: What's up? Amy? Guess what you're calling? Number one?
- 9:28Speaker 6: Yes?
- 9:29Speaker 1: There you go? Amy? Where are you from? I am
- 9:32Speaker 1: from Grand View? Awesome? Well, thank you for listening. What
- 9:34Speaker 1: are you doing right now?
- 9:35Speaker 13: I'm headed to work?
- 9:37Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 9:38Speaker 4: What does Amy do? I like to guess what people do.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Let's try to guess, Candas, what do you think? Okay Scott,
- 9:43Speaker 4: old school counselor okay, pooh.
- 9:44Speaker 1: What do you think? I'm gonna say, veterinarian? Oh a vet?
- 9:48Speaker 1: I think you're a dental hygienist.
- 9:52Speaker 6: I actually work in the front office at an elementary school.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Oh, same thing. Candas was close. Also, well, how's back
- 10:03Speaker 1: to school? So far good? Or the kids already being bad?
- 10:06Speaker 2: No?
- 10:06Speaker 14: So far so good.
- 10:07Speaker 6: Yesterday was our first day and everything went pretty pretty smooth.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Pretty smooth.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Well good, all right, Well I appreciate you listening, Amy,
- 10:14Speaker 4: and thank you so much. We're gonna hook up the
- 10:16Speaker 4: four pack of tickets to go see the Rangers.
- 10:17Speaker 13: Okay, awesome, thank you so much, hold.
- 10:19Speaker 1: On, thank you. How was Inzo's first day, Kennis?
- 10:21Speaker 5: It was good. Yeah, it was better than I thought.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 5: He has pe with one of his buddies, so that helped.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Oh good.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Yeah, because he got separated from his friends, his buddies, which.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Is always tough at like third grade. That's a big
- 10:32Speaker 1: that's a big deal. Yeah it is. What about your
- 10:34Speaker 1: kids they start today? Yeah they do? Okay, fingers crossed?
- 10:37Speaker 1: All right?
- 10:39Speaker 4: Now, all right, let's do it right now. Here we go,
- 10:41Speaker 4: real or fake news. I'm gonna give you three headlines.
- 10:43Speaker 4: You gotta tell me which one is the fake headline
- 10:46Speaker 4: out of the three.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Are you ready?
- 10:48Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 10:48Speaker 4: Headline number one, A wanted man sent police a better
- 10:53Speaker 4: selfie of himself because he hated the mug shot.
- 10:56Speaker 1: They used.
- 10:58Speaker 4: A wanted man send police a better selfie of himself
- 11:04Speaker 4: because he hated the mugshot. They used headline number two.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Bear breaks into cabin eats entire birthday cake, leaves without
- 11:13Speaker 4: touching anything else.
- 11:16Speaker 1: A bear breaks into a cabin sounds a good joke.
- 11:19Speaker 4: It breaks into a cabin, eats entire birthday cake, leaves
- 11:22Speaker 4: without touching anything else. Headline number three A venomous snake
- 11:28Speaker 4: found inside a high school football player's helmet.
- 11:31Speaker 5: Ooh, what a.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Venomous snake found inside a high school football player's helmet.
- 11:37Speaker 1: There you go. Three headlines.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Are gonna tell me? Which one do you think is
- 11:41Speaker 4: the fake headline? It's kind of difficult today. I think
- 11:43Speaker 4: it might be tough.
- 11:45Speaker 1: So who won? Yeswer toy canvas?
- 11:47Speaker 2: No?
- 11:47Speaker 1: Oh poo? Did my bad today? Cannas.
- 11:50Speaker 4: You could pick first. You can go and take the
- 11:52Speaker 4: guests and you say what's fake? Or you could pass
- 11:55Speaker 4: it to Clarence aka La poo poo ha la doodoo
- 11:59Speaker 4: fru frew.
- 12:00Speaker 5: I think I'm gonna go first today.
- 12:02Speaker 6: Lock me for that first story, the selfie versus the mugshot?
- 12:05Speaker 1: Do you think that's fake?
- 12:06Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 12:07Speaker 1: What criminal? Is that crazy?
- 12:09Speaker 5: That's a little silly.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Okay, let's lock it in, all right, Producer pooh, you
- 12:15Speaker 4: had a good week last week?
- 12:16Speaker 1: Which one do you think is the fake story?
- 12:18Speaker 7: Lock me in for that second story, because I'm a
- 12:20Speaker 7: bear myself, and I don't believe he just ate the
- 12:23Speaker 7: cake and nothing else.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Come on now, lock me by the way, save that.
- 12:27Speaker 1: What yourself a bear? I'm a bear bear?
- 12:29Speaker 4: Okay, that has different meanings in some people, know, save that,
- 12:37Speaker 4: thank you.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Let's lock it in.
- 12:42Speaker 4: You know what I'm talking about, canny, I think so
- 12:45Speaker 4: in certain communities that means different things.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's fine, listen, I accept you no matter what.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I know. All right, you are locked in, and the
- 12:57Speaker 1: winner today is Doucer Poo the bear himself, no bear,
- 13:07Speaker 1: no bear, Clarence the bear. There you go, all right,
- 13:13Speaker 1: the congratulations.
- 13:14Speaker 4: That is the fake story, even though I could see
- 13:15Speaker 4: that happening were a bear, because bears do break into things.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Like I'm kind of terrified of bears. Yeah, like I mean,
- 13:22Speaker 4: we don't have to deal with them. There are I
- 13:24Speaker 4: guess bears in North Texas. Yeah, like North far North Oklahoma. Ish,
- 13:30Speaker 4: I think, but I don't think they're the bears are
- 13:31Speaker 4: really like mess with you. Yeah, they're just kind of
- 13:34Speaker 4: hanging out. They're not like brown bears, grizzly bears. Okay, Yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 4: that's what scares me. I'm scared of a lot of
- 13:40Speaker 4: stuff right now.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Actually for Pooh though, that's the bear I'm the most
- 13:47Speaker 4: scared of right there.
- 13:49Speaker 1: All right, The first story is kind of awesome.
- 13:51Speaker 4: A wanted man sent police a better selfie of himself
- 13:54Speaker 4: because he hated the mugshot they used.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Come on, this actually happened.
- 13:59Speaker 4: A wanted and decided the photo police were using him
- 14:02Speaker 4: simply just wasn't good enough. So he goes here, you
- 14:05Speaker 4: know what, I'm gonna send a better one. I've lost
- 14:06Speaker 4: some weight since then, and I look better now. Donald
- 14:09Speaker 4: ak chip pew Is his name, was wanted by police
- 14:13Speaker 4: in Lima, Ohio. When authorities shared his mug shot either way,
- 14:16Speaker 4: he texted police as selfie and said, here's a better photo.
- 14:19Speaker 4: The one you're using is terrible. Police actually posted his
- 14:23Speaker 4: new photo. They thanked him for being helpful and then
- 14:27Speaker 4: reminded him that they also appreciated if he came in
- 14:29Speaker 4: to speak with him about his charges. And it's awesome
- 14:32Speaker 4: because the picture, the picture of the mugshot they had.
- 14:35Speaker 1: It's like, you know, it's a mug shot, so it's
- 14:36Speaker 1: not great.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Yeah, he's got like kind of a double chin, the
- 14:39Speaker 4: one that he sent them. He's in the car, sunglasses on,
- 14:44Speaker 4: just living his best life.
- 14:46Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, y'all can use this one. This is
- 14:49Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Right, So, and I don't think they They still haven't
- 14:53Speaker 4: caught him, so I know he's doing his thing, all right.
- 14:55Speaker 4: This story is terrifying because I'm also put this on
- 14:58Speaker 4: the list of things I'm scared of.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Snake.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Oh yeah, venomous snake found inside a high school football
- 15:03Speaker 4: player's helmet. This happened in Arkansas, and there's video of it,
- 15:07Speaker 4: and it's terrifying. So yeah, And this is the craziest
- 15:11Speaker 4: part is he was practicing for an hour with the
- 15:15Speaker 4: helmet on. What an hour with the helmet on? He
- 15:19Speaker 4: felt something move. He takes off the helmet. He's like,
- 15:23Speaker 4: what is going on? I swear I feel something in
- 15:25Speaker 4: the padding of his helmet. Was a cotton mouth. Oh,
- 15:30Speaker 4: a two foot cotton mouth was discovered two foot like
- 15:34Speaker 4: in between the pads. Like he didn't even see it,
- 15:38Speaker 4: just put his helmet on. Thank god it didn't bite him,
- 15:41Speaker 4: because obviously that's a venomous snake.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It is one of the most deadly.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Snakes I know, definitely deadly, and it could be deadly
- 15:48Speaker 4: at least. So yeah, so oh the video. Oh yeah,
- 15:54Speaker 4: I saw the video and it's just the snake is
- 15:56Speaker 4: just like inside the it's skinny and it's just and
- 15:59Speaker 4: he's wearing it for an hour. Wow, not even knowing
- 16:02Speaker 4: what's going on. Just see that's I mean. There was
- 16:07Speaker 4: a good like two weeks after I saw this story
- 16:09Speaker 4: in the news where a toilet snake came up from
- 16:11Speaker 4: the toilet, where I was like terrified.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I closed the lids on my toilet, you know what
- 16:19Speaker 1: I mean, he got to don't tell me that You're
- 16:25Speaker 1: not tell me. That's the last thing I need to know.
- 16:28Speaker 4: If you want to see that video of the snake
- 16:30Speaker 4: in the football helmet, I just put it up on
- 16:32Speaker 4: my Instagram and it's at Billy on the Radio.
- 16:34Speaker 1: At Billy on the Radio.
- 16:35Speaker 4: It's it's a mixed one or two point nine Billy
- 16:38Speaker 4: a kid Candi Slow Pets producer Pooh. I was up
- 16:41Speaker 4: way past my bedtime last night. Did you ever just
- 16:44Speaker 4: go down a rabbit hole? And You're like, why did
- 16:46Speaker 4: I do that to myself?
- 16:47Speaker 5: Oh?
- 16:47Speaker 1: Yeah, why did I?
- 16:48Speaker 4: Well, I did not know that there was such a
- 16:50Speaker 4: massive conspiracy around rock Wall. I'm reading this story last
- 16:56Speaker 4: night about rock Wall and I've lived here forever for
- 17:00Speaker 4: decades and I didn't know anything about this that there's
- 17:03Speaker 4: proof and I know Pooh's gonna last. There's proof coming out.
- 17:07Speaker 4: They say allegedly that there were giant humans in rock.
- 17:11Speaker 6: Wall, and I thought my food recall rabbit hole was bad.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Okay, there's giant there were giant humans.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Giants like giants. Giants, giants are in rock Wall.
- 17:24Speaker 1: They're not now, well.
- 17:28Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 17:29Speaker 4: So I click on it and I'm like, what is
- 17:31Speaker 4: going on? Okay, if you don't know, you know why
- 17:33Speaker 4: rock Wall is called rock wall?
- 17:34Speaker 12: Right?
- 17:35Speaker 1: No?
- 17:35Speaker 5: No?
- 17:36Speaker 1: Are you? Are you all serious? No?
- 17:38Speaker 5: No, we haven't gotten down that rabbit hole yet.
- 17:40Speaker 1: This is hysterical. How do you not you live right
- 17:42Speaker 1: but both of you grew up right now. I live
- 17:44Speaker 1: right by now.
- 17:45Speaker 4: And you don't know why it's called rock wall. No,
- 17:48Speaker 4: because there's a rock wall.
- 17:49Speaker 5: Well, yeah, we assume that where's the rock wall. It's
- 17:52Speaker 5: over the lake? No?
- 17:54Speaker 1: Are you serious?
- 17:55Speaker 12: Serious?
- 17:56Speaker 6: Noll wasn't that popular when I lived in this kit
- 18:01Speaker 6: is one.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Of the biggest conspiracies ever, and they it's a mystery.
- 18:05Speaker 4: There is a massive wall underneath the city of rock
- 18:09Speaker 4: wall right massive, Like I'm talking five miles. They're saying
- 18:14Speaker 4: it is possibly seven stories deep.
- 18:17Speaker 5: Are you serious?
- 18:18Speaker 1: I'm not kidding you literally didn't know that a.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Wall and it goes in a big rectangle and you
- 18:23Speaker 4: can look it up, and it's under the entire city.
- 18:26Speaker 4: And for whatever reason, scientists cannot figure out why it's there.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Right in eighteen fifty and I'm a nerd, So eighteen fifty,
- 18:35Speaker 4: these farmers discovered it. They started digging in. They're like,
- 18:38Speaker 4: what is going on this same man made wall? So
- 18:40Speaker 4: man made wall that they can't figure out why it's there.
- 18:43Speaker 4: And if they figure out that it's made by you know,
- 18:46Speaker 4: I mean ancient people, this is going to change history
- 18:49Speaker 4: for Texas in the US, right, because there was a
- 18:52Speaker 4: tribe there called the Catto tribe back in the day,
- 18:55Speaker 4: right and yeah, right, their ancestors they think might have
- 19:00Speaker 4: done it. But we're talking BC. I mean, this goes
- 19:04Speaker 4: way back. But there's conspiracies that giants built.
- 19:07Speaker 6: It, what or extraterrestrials.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Or aliens, Okay, in our own backyard in rock Wall,
- 19:16Speaker 4: and I'm like, why are they not digging this wall
- 19:19Speaker 4: up and trying to figure it out? Every time they
- 19:22Speaker 4: go to do it, there's drama about it, and they
- 19:24Speaker 4: backfill the holes and they don't research it. I'm like,
- 19:27Speaker 4: can you imagine this is something that could change the
- 19:29Speaker 4: entire history of the United States and definitely Texas, and.
- 19:33Speaker 5: We're not researching maybe the planet.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Maybe the planet. Some people even think that the Chinese
- 19:38Speaker 4: built it here back in the day. I swear to
- 19:42Speaker 4: I'm not making this up.
- 19:43Speaker 1: But why would they build this what?
- 19:45Speaker 4: Because there's there's some signs in history that the Chinese
- 19:48Speaker 4: were here before Columbus and that they might have built
- 19:51Speaker 4: things that we don't even know about.
- 19:53Speaker 1: And it could be in Rockwall and the aliens are coming.
- 19:56Speaker 5: I think you just changed my whole algorithm.
- 19:59Speaker 4: I'm just telling you. I'm just I'm a nerd. I'm
- 20:02Speaker 4: looking this stuff up and I'm like it. And I'm
- 20:04Speaker 4: up till about eleven thirty last night because I think
- 20:07Speaker 4: there's giants in Rockwall coming down thirty over the bridge.
- 20:11Speaker 4: You'll didn't know this that a giant. You didn't know
- 20:16Speaker 4: that there was a rock wall in rock Wall? There was, yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 4: I did.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I never paid attention to that.
- 20:22Speaker 6: Are you part of the Rockwall County Historical Foundation now.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Or what I'm about to be about to sign art
- 20:28Speaker 4: giants and Rockall. Well, we don't know if there's giants,
- 20:31Speaker 4: but a farmer found a massive skull there like that
- 20:33Speaker 4: looks like if they okay.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Don't poos, stop, I'm looking at you.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Like, No, a farmer in rock Wall back in the
- 20:39Speaker 4: day found a skull when he was digging up his
- 20:42Speaker 4: crops or whatever that would have been the size of,
- 20:45Speaker 4: let's say, like an elephant skull, bigger than an elephant scall.
- 20:49Speaker 5: So was it an elephant?
- 20:51Speaker 1: No, they're saying.
- 20:52Speaker 4: This farmer was like, no, this is a it's a
- 20:54Speaker 4: human type skull, right that if if if this were
- 20:58Speaker 4: a real human skull, the body, if the body were proportionate,
- 21:03Speaker 4: we would be talking about a thousand pound.
- 21:04Speaker 5: Human maybe just a big headed dude, it wouldn't.
- 21:11Speaker 1: It wasn't your head?
- 21:14Speaker 4: Wow, are you serious?
- 21:21Speaker 5: You always talking about how big your.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Head is, Candice, Candice Lopein's turn that off.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Really, Okay, you're going down a hole, that's for sure.
- 21:37Speaker 1: What my head is not.
- 21:38Speaker 5: That it's not.
- 21:40Speaker 4: Yeah, No, all I know is I think dated some
- 21:46Speaker 4: of these giants that they.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Got coming out in rock Wall.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Dude, now you know and now I'm seriously self conscious
- 21:55Speaker 4: about the size of my head.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Thanks a lot.
- 22:00Speaker 2: One O two point nine is Texas Tough Stories on
- 22:03Speaker 2: the Tents with Billy the Kid in the morning only
- 22:06Speaker 2: on the New Mix one O two point nine.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Chance Go to Disneyland Coming up next, Candice Slow Paz.
- 22:11Speaker 5: What is going on hot again today for y'all?
- 22:13Speaker 6: Going back to school in Wiley Allen crandall Melissa Id's.
- 22:16Speaker 6: I think we've got at least twenty five districts heading
- 22:19Speaker 6: back this morning. We are going to get up to
- 22:21Speaker 6: the triple digits.
- 22:21Speaker 5: It's eighty two right now. That is hot for seven
- 22:24Speaker 5: o'clock in the morning.
- 22:25Speaker 4: And I'm looking at the forecast and it's every day
- 22:27Speaker 4: the same thing for as long as we could see.
- 22:30Speaker 4: No rain inside. No, it's this time of the year,
- 22:32Speaker 4: but I don't remember this. Last year was kind of chill.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I think we had a much milder summer last year.
- 22:37Speaker 6: But hang in there.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Fall will be here soon, ish, guys.
- 22:40Speaker 6: According to thousands of Americans in a new survey, the
- 22:43Speaker 6: Southern accent was just named the most attractive accent in
- 22:47Speaker 6: the country. So people said the Southern accent sounds warm, unhurried,
- 22:53Speaker 6: and genuinely friendly. Another person at the survey said, it
- 22:57Speaker 6: seems to flow like a creek over smooth rocks.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Oh, is that how the accident here?
- 23:02Speaker 1: I mean, I will say I agree, yeah, don't you.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I mean there's different Southern accents.
- 23:06Speaker 6: Too, right, because if you go by state, Louisiana was
- 23:09Speaker 6: actually ranged number one, Texas was ranked number two.
- 23:12Speaker 1: That should be flip flopped.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Yeah, No, I agree for sure.
- 23:15Speaker 4: When I first moved here, I was obsessed with the
- 23:17Speaker 4: way the girls talked.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Yeah, like the country girls.
- 23:20Speaker 4: That's oh, just a way they would say certain things,
- 23:23Speaker 4: like the way they said Miller lite, Yeah, Miller lot.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Miller lots lot, bud lot.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:31Speaker 6: When I moved to California, everybody called me hey, y'all, yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 6: because I'd be like, hey, y'all and no one said
- 23:36Speaker 6: that there.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Yeah, saying y'all is cute.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Yeah, they're saying though that.
- 23:41Speaker 6: Now over half of Americans use y'all in their daily speech,
- 23:44Speaker 6: so it's officially not just a Southern thing anymore.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Good.
- 23:47Speaker 4: I feel like though, you're officially Southern when you start
- 23:49Speaker 4: incorporating that yeah into your daily language, for sure, and
- 23:53Speaker 4: you don't even think about it or fixing, fixing.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Oh, we're fixing too, for sure.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Or somebody the other day said reckon on the request line.
- 24:00Speaker 4: I reckon, Yeah, well I reckon. You could play it
- 24:03Speaker 4: all right, I'm fixing to you.
- 24:05Speaker 5: There you go, guys.
- 24:07Speaker 6: The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders uniform is getting its first update
- 24:10Speaker 6: ever an official earring.
- 24:13Speaker 5: I love this. Yeah, So they.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Just announced a partnership with Kender Scott. Of course, she's
- 24:18Speaker 6: based out of Austin. The earring is called the Belli
- 24:22Speaker 6: stud It's now officially part of.
- 24:24Speaker 5: The DCC uniform.
- 24:25Speaker 6: They say it's inspired by the Texas Stars stadium lights and.
- 24:29Speaker 5: The energy of game day.
- 24:31Speaker 6: These earrings are available for pre order and sell for
- 24:34Speaker 6: eighty five dollars.
- 24:35Speaker 5: They're super cute.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Not bad and I I could wear those.
- 24:38Speaker 5: You could wear them. You could have part of the
- 24:39Speaker 5: official DCC uniform.
- 24:41Speaker 4: I know what, though, I have not put an earring
- 24:43Speaker 4: in one of my ears in at least fifteen years.
- 24:46Speaker 5: Really really, Oh, I mean you wear earrings?
- 24:48Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 24:49Speaker 1: I had mine on the other day. You did it?
- 24:51Speaker 8: You have both?
- 24:51Speaker 5: Are one? Because I remember seeing it in your left ear,
- 24:54Speaker 5: But now you're.
- 24:54Speaker 7: Right, Yeah, I have both of them. Okay, I don't
- 24:56Speaker 7: remember you having that, Yeah, put them on the other day.
- 24:58Speaker 7: I sometimes do it, you know, quite often.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Sometimes I do it quite often, quite often do it?
- 25:05Speaker 6: Yeah, quick goes through your head when you decide if
- 25:06Speaker 6: you're gonna wear earrings or not.
- 25:08Speaker 7: Yeah, like I see if it goes with your outfit. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:11Speaker 7: usually I do. And they be like, if I'm going
- 25:13Speaker 7: out on the date, I'll put them in.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I throw them in. And I haven't been out on
- 25:18Speaker 1: a date in a long time. But yeah, okay, it's
- 25:20Speaker 1: not quite often.
- 25:22Speaker 6: Speaking of dating guys, the dating app Bumble is making
- 25:26Speaker 6: another major change. So they're now going to allow men
- 25:29Speaker 6: to make the first move on the app. You know,
- 25:31Speaker 6: their thing was always women go first. That's right, and
- 25:34Speaker 6: that's what kind of set them apart. Users will also
- 25:37Speaker 6: be able to respond to first messages within seventy two
- 25:40Speaker 6: hours instead of twenty four hours. But Bumble says their
- 25:43Speaker 6: community is asking for more flexibility, less pressure, and more
- 25:46Speaker 6: opportunities to make real, meaningful connections. But I think a
- 25:50Speaker 6: lot of these dating apps are seeing their user numbers
- 25:52Speaker 6: go down.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 25:54Speaker 4: I thought that was why Bumble was so special though,
- 25:56Speaker 4: It's because women felt like they were in more control
- 25:58Speaker 4: and more safety, and you know, they had just more.
- 26:01Speaker 4: They laid the things in the conversations exactly.
- 26:04Speaker 6: It was like women were the priority on both right.
- 26:07Speaker 6: But I think they actually laid off thirty percent of
- 26:09Speaker 6: their global workforce last year. Tender's numbers have gone down
- 26:12Speaker 6: as well. I don't know if that's because less people
- 26:14Speaker 6: are using it or more people are finding love and
- 26:16Speaker 6: then just getting off the.
- 26:17Speaker 1: App, you know, that's what I think.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Or during COVID they spiked, so the numbers were inflated
- 26:21Speaker 4: because everybody was insideboard and swiping right.
- 26:23Speaker 5: I don't know, Yeah, I don't know. I haven't used
- 26:25Speaker 5: it either, But there you go. Guys.
- 26:26Speaker 6: Congratulations, you're the stars of Bumble Now. I'm Candaslopez. Those
- 26:30Speaker 6: are your Texas top stories.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Are you ready for the banger? It's mixed one on
- 26:33Speaker 1: two point nine.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Good morning, Bailly the Kid, Candace Lopez, producer, Pooh, we
- 26:37Speaker 4: have dirty Little Secret coming up next. And I will
- 26:39Speaker 4: say this, just get ready, Candace, because I heard it
- 26:42Speaker 4: has something to do with mesquite.
- 26:45Speaker 6: I just can't possibly imagine.
- 26:48Speaker 1: That's all I know, and I don't know everything about it,
- 26:49Speaker 1: but it's something.
- 26:50Speaker 4: The secret has something to do with them, skeet, I'm
- 26:53Speaker 4: just giving you a heads up now, okay, we'll do it.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Coming up a dirty little secret the banger right now.
- 26:58Speaker 4: I thought, you know what, you might need something to
- 26:59Speaker 4: feel good. He might need a feel good story this morning,
- 27:01Speaker 4: because when I saw this, I was it really made
- 27:04Speaker 4: me feel good. This waitress was talking about how she
- 27:07Speaker 4: was the only one who would wait on this guy
- 27:10Speaker 4: named Buck, and he was just a mean, grumpy old
- 27:14Speaker 4: man who just hated everybody.
- 27:17Speaker 1: He didn't tip.
- 27:18Speaker 4: He was just the worst. Right, She was the only
- 27:22Speaker 4: one who deal with him at this little diner. And
- 27:25Speaker 4: you know he came in, he would never tip. He
- 27:27Speaker 4: was mean, blah blah blah. Nobody else, not one other
- 27:30Speaker 4: server was like, they're like, oh, here comes Buck, right, Melinda,
- 27:34Speaker 4: you take him. So Melinda would take him. She would,
- 27:36Speaker 4: you know, just kind of make the best out of it.
- 27:38Speaker 4: For seven years she did this. He would not talk
- 27:42Speaker 4: to her. Basically, he would never tip, right, he was
- 27:44Speaker 4: just a grumpy old man. He passes away. This guy
- 27:48Speaker 4: left her fifty thousand dollars in his will. What fifty
- 27:54Speaker 4: thousand dollars and his car. Never told her he was
- 27:59Speaker 4: going to do it ever, said a word to her,
- 28:02Speaker 4: just left her all that money, said here you go.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Lawyers contacted her and she's like, what buck, that's crazy.
- 28:09Speaker 4: The grumpy old man that I waited on for seventy
- 28:13Speaker 4: and it just reminds me of how I went to
- 28:14Speaker 4: college because the same thing happened was a bad story.
- 28:17Speaker 4: It was a grumpy old woman who was my neighbor
- 28:20Speaker 4: and rest in peace, Doris. Yeah, I would shovel or
- 28:25Speaker 4: snow and she'd never thank me, and I keep doing it.
- 28:27Speaker 4: My mom would make me do it, and then eventually
- 28:29Speaker 4: I would do it because I knew it was the
- 28:30Speaker 4: right thing. And then she passed away when I was sixteen,
- 28:33Speaker 4: and she left me two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
- 28:36Speaker 1: That's crazy to go to college.
- 28:39Speaker 4: And I thought I was real special until I looked
- 28:41Speaker 4: at her estate and she left three hundred thousand dollars
- 28:44Speaker 4: to the bird watching society.
- 28:48Speaker 5: That's funny.
- 28:49Speaker 7: You could have watched some birds and made I was
- 28:51Speaker 7: just under the birds.
- 28:54Speaker 4: And I didn't even use all the money for college,
- 28:55Speaker 4: but she wouldn't let me use it for anything else
- 28:57Speaker 4: in her estate and said, if you don't go to college,
- 28:59Speaker 4: you don't use any of this, and you got to
- 29:00Speaker 4: give it back to my estate or donate it to charity.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Wow.
- 29:03Speaker 4: So I donated all the money to cancer research. That's
- 29:06Speaker 4: amazing because I couldn't use it.
- 29:08Speaker 1: People like, you're so generous for doing that. Yeah, I
- 29:11Speaker 1: had to, but it was it made me feel good
- 29:14Speaker 1: and there was.
- 29:14Speaker 5: A lessons you know, doing good.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's feel good. You just don't. You do things
- 29:18Speaker 1: because you want to do them right. You don't do them.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Because of what people you know you expect from them.
- 29:24Speaker 4: You do it because that's what you want to do,
- 29:25Speaker 4: and something good will always come in return. See, I
- 29:27Speaker 4: knew that would make you feel good.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Can yours to promise you'll feel better?
- 29:33Speaker 8: Welcome to the dirty little Secret.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Bring on the secrets.
- 29:36Speaker 4: It's Mikes one or two point nine, Bill at a Kid,
- 29:38Speaker 4: Candicelow Pants producer Pooh. If you have one eight three, three, seven,
- 29:42Speaker 4: eight seven and one o two nine a big secret little.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Secret, give it to us. You got one, let's hear it.
- 29:47Speaker 12: Yeah. I have a confession that my wife and I've
- 29:49Speaker 12: been lying about for years now, and it's well, it's
- 29:54Speaker 12: kind of starting to catch up with us.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 29:57Speaker 12: We have this son who's in elementary school and uh.
- 30:01Speaker 12: From the very beginning, I was, you know, determined that
- 30:05Speaker 12: he wasn't going to go to our neighborhood school.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Okay, it's not good.
- 30:09Speaker 12: So every year when it's about time to register him,
- 30:12Speaker 12: we use a friend's address, okay because yeah, yeah, because
- 30:16Speaker 12: because I do not want him going to the Mesquite schools.
- 30:20Speaker 12: I mean, sorry.
- 30:25Speaker 1: School, you said, Mesquite schools.
- 30:30Speaker 6: What's going on with Mesquite schools? Was going to get
- 30:34Speaker 6: I'm genuinely curious.
- 30:37Speaker 12: I know you're from there, but you know I want
- 30:39Speaker 12: him to go to the Playo schools.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Damn Mesquite catching astray for real.
- 30:48Speaker 4: I know I messed with Mesquite a lot because I
- 30:50Speaker 4: love Mesquite. Yeah, but I genuinely know a lot of
- 30:54Speaker 4: people who have their kids in Mesquite schools and they're great.
- 30:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:56Speaker 6: I mean I haven't checked the school ratings in years forever.
- 31:02Speaker 1: My schooling. Look at your Yeah, what school did you
- 31:05Speaker 1: go to? MISQUI?
- 31:05Speaker 5: I went to high school and Atnew Middle School.
- 31:08Speaker 1: You're a skeeter.
- 31:09Speaker 7: Yeah, my oldest son went to Myski School. Yeah right,
- 31:13Speaker 7: port Her Elementary shout out. Okay, so you said forget
- 31:16Speaker 7: that we're going to plane out.
- 31:19Speaker 5: All right?
- 31:20Speaker 12: Yeah, Well this is all my idea, Yeah, my idea.
- 31:24Speaker 12: My wife wasn't crazy about it at first, but I
- 31:26Speaker 12: convinced her that it would be better for him, and she's,
- 31:29Speaker 12: you know, been going along with it ever since. So
- 31:32Speaker 12: I got to admit a kind of panic bad because
- 31:36Speaker 12: the lion, I'm always waiting for that phone call, you know,
- 31:39Speaker 12: asking for you know, uh, some other proof residency or.
- 31:44Speaker 1: You know, because you figure it out.
- 31:46Speaker 4: You got to use someone else's address, like their water
- 31:49Speaker 4: bill or something.
- 31:50Speaker 12: That all worked out, and uh so, you know, as
- 31:54Speaker 12: my son gets older, it's kind of getting harder to
- 31:57Speaker 12: keep the lie going. That's that's the issue. He wants
- 32:00Speaker 12: to hang out. Yeah, he wants to hang out with
- 32:02Speaker 12: his friends after school. He wants to go to birthday parties,
- 32:05Speaker 12: ride bikes around the neighborhood, and we don't live anywhere
- 32:07Speaker 12: near them.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Oh I didn't even think about that. Yeah, Like, you
- 32:10Speaker 1: want to hang out with your school friends, but you can't.
- 32:13Speaker 12: Right, that's a long way kind of starting to backfire.
- 32:15Speaker 12: I mean, if we were closed, it'd be one thing,
- 32:17Speaker 12: but not really that close.
- 32:19Speaker 11: So you think Mosquite's that bad, right, Well I did,
- 32:24Speaker 11: but you know it's kind of like yeah, yeah, I
- 32:28Speaker 11: mean yeah, yeah, all right, so you know, no, people
- 32:33Speaker 11: are probably gonna judge me.
- 32:34Speaker 12: But you know, from where we live, a lot of
- 32:36Speaker 12: people had said that, you know, Mesquite schools have a
- 32:38Speaker 12: tough reputation, that's all.
- 32:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, but every district has a certain school
- 32:42Speaker 6: you don't want to go to, or you know, the
- 32:44Speaker 6: one you do want to go to. So I mean,
- 32:46Speaker 6: I haven't been involved in MISD since nineteen ninety nine.
- 32:50Speaker 4: So dang, granny, it is what it is, nineteen hundreds.
- 32:58Speaker 1: You're not doing anything crazy.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Is it just moved?
- 33:03Speaker 12: It was fair or not? You know, I bought into it.
- 33:05Speaker 12: I convinced myself I was doing was best for my kid.
- 33:07Speaker 12: But you know, I'm wondering if I created a bigger
- 33:09Speaker 12: problem for myself and my wife. You know, you know,
- 33:11Speaker 12: we can't do it forever.
- 33:13Speaker 5: So no, I mean, logistically that's a nightmare.
- 33:16Speaker 12: Because if we come clean now, I don't know what,
- 33:18Speaker 12: you know, what's going to happen. Whether they're going to
- 33:19Speaker 12: make a switch schools, you know, oh yeah.
- 33:22Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah they probably will.
- 33:23Speaker 6: Yeah, but also like finding a house in that district
- 33:27Speaker 6: that goes to that school, I mean that's not always easy.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Well, hopefully you feel better but you got it off
- 33:32Speaker 4: your chest. It could be worse. My mom did this
- 33:35Speaker 4: when I was a kid, Yeah she did. Yeah, because
- 33:38Speaker 4: I grew up in Detroit. Otherwise I'd have been going
- 33:40Speaker 4: to like the worst school on the planet.
- 33:42Speaker 5: Yeah. I know a friend who's doing the same thing
- 33:44Speaker 5: with the grandparents address.
- 33:45Speaker 1: But it's a Mosquite. It's not Detroit. Mosquite is not Detroit.
- 33:48Speaker 5: Yeah, no, it's close.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Not just kidding.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Parts of mosquitees like Troit. Yeah, I mean, Cannis is offended,
- 33:54Speaker 4: She's very offended.
- 33:54Speaker 5: So I'm kind of shocked, honestly.
- 33:57Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 33:58Speaker 4: I appreciate your honesty and thank you put in the
- 34:00Speaker 4: work for your kid. But whoa, Yeah, you're you're you're
- 34:03Speaker 4: trying it. That's what it comes down to, is you
- 34:04Speaker 4: love your kid. You're trying to do the best thing,
- 34:06Speaker 4: and it'll work itself out. And thank you for telling us.
- 34:09Speaker 4: And I appreciate your secret.
- 34:11Speaker 12: Thanks. I appreciate your hell all right.
- 34:14Speaker 4: And as much as I pick on Mesquite, yeah, Mosquit's
- 34:17Speaker 4: like your little brother. You could pick on it, but
- 34:19Speaker 4: if somebody else picks on him, yeah, hey, wait no,
- 34:22Speaker 4: you can't say that about Mosquite exactly.
- 34:24Speaker 1: People like, why do you play this when you talk
- 34:26Speaker 1: about Mosquite. I don't know. I've been doing it since.
- 34:29Speaker 5: There's a rodeo.
- 34:31Speaker 1: And when I first got here, I met this.
- 34:33Speaker 4: I met someone who was from Mesquite and he was
- 34:35Speaker 4: the most country person I've ever met in my life.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Yeah, he wore overall.
- 34:39Speaker 4: His name was vern Oh and yeah, so I just
- 34:42Speaker 4: thought that when I picture Mosquite, I picture but now
- 34:48Speaker 4: and things are a little bit different trailed us. Yes,
- 34:53Speaker 4: I do you are granny today?
- 34:55Speaker 5: Oh?
- 34:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:57Speaker 4: By the way, I'm so nervous to meet Ella on Saturday.
- 35:00Speaker 4: I am shaky, nervous. I don't know what to wear.
- 35:03Speaker 4: I I'm like going over. I did the stupidest, weirdest
- 35:06Speaker 4: thing the other day.
- 35:07Speaker 1: You I'm embarrassed to say it, but I'm gonna say
- 35:09Speaker 1: it on the air anyway.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Okay, it makes one or two point nine Bailly the Kid,
- 35:13Speaker 4: Candic slow Pants, producer poo. So they surprised me and
- 35:16Speaker 4: it was very nice. I'm gonna meet Ella, they know, like,
- 35:18Speaker 4: that's my celeb crush.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's not real, right, you're a fan
- 35:23Speaker 5: of music too. In a farmer.
- 35:25Speaker 4: I think she's incredible. Yeah, so, but I did do
- 35:27Speaker 4: something really dumb because I don't know what to wear.
- 35:30Speaker 4: So I was like, I wonder what outfits people wear
- 35:33Speaker 4: are like like she would like? So remember she dated
- 35:38Speaker 4: that guy, what's his name, Riley Green? Whatever did I
- 35:41Speaker 4: think she did?
- 35:42Speaker 1: I thought they just did it. Didn't they just do
- 35:44Speaker 1: a song? Or now I think they dated? Oh wow?
- 35:46Speaker 5: Huh?
- 35:47Speaker 1: And I think she's into guys like that. So I
- 35:48Speaker 1: looked up how he dressed.
- 35:50Speaker 7: No, you can't stop yourself, af somebody.
- 35:55Speaker 6: Last time a guy did that, he ended up wearing
- 35:57Speaker 6: a mussel shirt under his clothes.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Remember, don't do that. Don't look at her, she's tato.
- 36:01Speaker 4: Oh wait a minute, okay, let me cross off muscle shirt.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Okay, I won't wear that. Yeah, all right, we're getting
- 36:09Speaker 1: ready for Candace Court.
- 36:09Speaker 4: By the way, heads up, tomorrow, we're all gonna be
- 36:12Speaker 4: out at Coco Shrimp, their brand new location, which I
- 36:16Speaker 4: am so excited about.
- 36:17Speaker 1: So we want to buy you lunch.
- 36:18Speaker 4: I think like the first like twenty twenty five people,
- 36:21Speaker 4: we're gonna buy their lunch tomorrow. It's right off the
- 36:23Speaker 4: toll way and why Cliff. So we'll be out there
- 36:26Speaker 4: from what noon to two, yes noon to to tomorrow
- 36:29Speaker 4: and dude, we just want to hang out with you.
- 36:31Speaker 4: And if you've never had Coco Shrimp, it's incredible. They've
- 36:33Speaker 4: got ten locations. We're gonna be the one that they
- 36:35Speaker 4: just opened up tomorrow in Dallas toll Way Wycliff, So
- 36:38Speaker 4: it'll be a good time.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I'm giving you a heads up. Come out. We want
- 36:41Speaker 1: to buy you lunch first twenty five people? Bring it?
- 36:44Speaker 1: Are you ready for Candace Courts? All right, gets.
- 36:47Speaker 8: Going for Candace court. It gets settled here with Billy
- 36:51Speaker 8: the Kid in the morning.
- 36:52Speaker 4: All rise for the audible judge Candace Lopez. Here we
- 36:56Speaker 4: go that issued the dilemma today and if you got
- 36:58Speaker 4: one at Candace on air. Hey, guys, I need some help.
- 37:02Speaker 4: If you can help take this to Kansas Court for me.
- 37:05Speaker 4: I've been holding this in for a few weeks because
- 37:07Speaker 4: I've been too embarrassed to talk about it to any
- 37:09Speaker 4: of my friends. I recently started dating a new guy,
- 37:12Speaker 4: and I've kind of had my hopes up, which means
- 37:15Speaker 4: I've been gushing to them about him, maybe to the
- 37:18Speaker 4: point they're getting annoyed about hearing it.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Well.
- 37:20Speaker 4: I finally went to his place for the first time,
- 37:23Speaker 4: and I saw that he had a huge self portrait
- 37:26Speaker 4: of himself on the wall in his living room. I'm
- 37:31Speaker 4: gonna be honest, it kind of weirded me out. He
- 37:34Speaker 4: looks like a model in the portrait. He is very,
- 37:37Speaker 4: very all caps attractive, but I've never seen him look
- 37:42Speaker 4: like that. Is this something normal that people have in
- 37:46Speaker 4: their homes, because I've never known anyone that had one,
- 37:50Speaker 4: especially not a single man that I'm dating. Is this
- 37:53Speaker 4: a red flag? Please help?
- 37:55Speaker 5: Oh?
- 37:56Speaker 4: All right, so this guy has a giant self portrait
- 38:00Speaker 4: in his house of him, Candice, how do you feel
- 38:04Speaker 4: about it?
- 38:05Speaker 5: Like a model? This has given me a really big ache.
- 38:10Speaker 6: I've only known families to have like a family portrait done,
- 38:15Speaker 6: and they're kind of like, you know, well to do
- 38:17Speaker 6: families that I've seen this before.
- 38:19Speaker 5: A single man you're dating.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Well to Do? I like that well to do? Yeah,
- 38:23Speaker 1: high falutin.
- 38:24Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah exactly.
- 38:27Speaker 6: Does he have any other traits that would make you
- 38:28Speaker 6: think he's self absorbed?
- 38:30Speaker 5: Because it's weird to just look at yourself, you know.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, that is weird.
- 38:36Speaker 6: Do you know anybody who has a self portrait?
- 38:38Speaker 4: I do. I definitely have met people like this who
- 38:41Speaker 4: have had Now I will say, well, I mean, matter of.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Fact, I dated somebody who did you did? Yeah? Uh huh.
- 38:47Speaker 4: And I gotta be real though, because it didn't come
- 38:50Speaker 4: off as a red flag to me, because when a
- 38:53Speaker 4: woman does it, I feel like, good, you.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Should be confident about who you are. Huh. If that
- 38:58Speaker 1: was the only picture in the.
- 39:00Speaker 5: Home, right, I'd be like mmm, okay.
- 39:03Speaker 1: But it wasn't.
- 39:04Speaker 4: And I think if this were a woman who had
- 39:06Speaker 4: a self portrait, I don't even think we'd be talking
- 39:08Speaker 4: about it. Really no, because I think I think women
- 39:11Speaker 4: embrace themselves often and I think they should.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think it's a problem at all.
- 39:16Speaker 4: I don't think it comes across as necessarily self absorbed.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Is it an IQ? Whin a guy does it? Maybe
- 39:22Speaker 1: it shouldn't be okay, maybe it shouldn't be an egg.
- 39:25Speaker 6: I mean, I have a portrait that someone gave me
- 39:27Speaker 6: as a gift. They went overseas, and I don't know,
- 39:29Speaker 6: I guess it was, you know, budget friendly to get
- 39:32Speaker 6: a portrait done.
- 39:33Speaker 5: And it's of me and my nieces when they were little.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Oh but that's your nieces.
- 39:36Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's it. I wouldn't have one of just
- 39:39Speaker 5: me looking like a.
- 39:40Speaker 4: Model like I have one a picture of myself, but
- 39:43Speaker 4: my son's in it, and an artist did it who
- 39:46Speaker 4: I love. Yeah, so I just don't have I don't
- 39:49Speaker 4: have one picture of my home.
- 39:50Speaker 1: It just me.
- 39:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:51Speaker 6: But but actually I do know a single man who
- 39:54Speaker 6: has one.
- 39:54Speaker 5: But his dog is in it with him.
- 39:56Speaker 1: That's it. That's weird. My cousin dated a girl and
- 39:59Speaker 1: she had Nutton. That's weird. With his dog, that's that's
- 40:03Speaker 1: just him and his dog. That's it. No other pictures.
- 40:05Speaker 5: Why is that weird? Yeah, I don't know.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I just think it's weird. I think it's weird.
- 40:10Speaker 5: It's different.
- 40:11Speaker 1: My cousin dated a girl and all throughout her apartment.
- 40:14Speaker 7: I'll never forget because I went over there with him
- 40:16Speaker 7: and she had nothing but pictures of.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Her her by herself, that was it. But multiple pictures.
- 40:22Speaker 7: It is about at least five or six. But that's weird.
- 40:24Speaker 7: Just we're your family members. Nothing just maybe she doesn't
- 40:27Speaker 7: maybe she's an orphan. No, she's like thinking she had
- 40:31Speaker 7: a big old family, trust.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Me, but how do you know? Like, it's just weird.
- 40:35Speaker 1: D I mean I got pictures of my son and I.
- 40:38Speaker 6: Yeah, well that's that makes total sense. But if it
- 40:41Speaker 6: was just you framed all over your.
- 40:43Speaker 5: House, not all over.
- 40:44Speaker 1: He's got one guys, Now, it's all out the girl.
- 40:47Speaker 1: That girl's crazy. But like some girls even on their
- 40:49Speaker 1: Instagram just have nothing but them. Well, what are they
- 40:52Speaker 1: supposed to have? That's weird? What are they supposed to have?
- 40:54Speaker 1: That's weird? If you if you don't have any other
- 40:57Speaker 1: pictures of you and friends, you and like you now
- 41:00Speaker 1: or something. Yeah, it should be up selfie.
- 41:03Speaker 5: There's no balance.
- 41:05Speaker 1: That's it's a red flag. That's creepy.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Like anything in life should be balanced. But one picture
- 41:09Speaker 4: self portrait he's proud of. Maybe he did a Calvin
- 41:12Speaker 4: client campaign.
- 41:13Speaker 5: He should definitely tell you if he did a Calvin
- 41:15Speaker 5: clime ca.
- 41:16Speaker 1: I mean he looks good. I'm telling you.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Like when I see guys now like a Katie trail
- 41:20Speaker 4: with their shirts off and they got six packs.
- 41:21Speaker 1: I used to be a hater. It's like put a
- 41:23Speaker 1: shirt on loser.
- 41:24Speaker 4: Right now, I'm like, if I had a six pack,
- 41:27Speaker 4: I wouldn't put a shirt on.
- 41:28Speaker 1: No, for sure, I wouldn't put pants on. Canda slow pads.
- 41:31Speaker 1: You got a verdant.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:33Speaker 6: Look at this point, I think this guy is guilty
- 41:35Speaker 6: of being a selfie said, whoa. I think he's got
- 41:39Speaker 6: more layers to uncover and you got to figure it
- 41:41Speaker 6: out looking like a model.
- 41:43Speaker 1: What's wrong with that?
- 41:43Speaker 5: It's interesting?
- 41:44Speaker 1: Okay, you're the judge. He is guilty of being a.
- 41:47Speaker 5: Selfie said.
- 41:50Speaker 8: His Top stories on the Tense with Billy the Kid
- 41:52Speaker 8: in the.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Morning only on the New Mixed one or two point.
- 41:55Speaker 4: Nine A Chance put a disney Land and coming up
- 41:57Speaker 4: next Candace slow Paz, what's going on?
- 41:59Speaker 6: Well, it was back to school for a lot of
- 42:01Speaker 6: districts today, like Alan McKinney, Denton and Rockwall. How do
- 42:05Speaker 6: we feel about the fact that the date today is
- 42:07Speaker 6: August thirteenth, and there is a group of lawmakers, including
- 42:10Speaker 6: a state rep from Denton County. They are proposing a
- 42:13Speaker 6: change to the school calendar. So he's pushing to move
- 42:17Speaker 6: the start of the school year until September and move
- 42:19Speaker 6: the end of the school year to late May.
- 42:21Speaker 5: Or possibly June.
- 42:23Speaker 6: He's kind of saying, you know, it doesn't make sense
- 42:25Speaker 6: for our economy, our students and teachers, it doesn't make
- 42:27Speaker 6: sense for the grid.
- 42:29Speaker 5: But I think we've been talking about.
- 42:30Speaker 6: This, you know, pretty much every back to school season.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know when it's shifted back because it
- 42:35Speaker 4: used to be that way. Yeah, you know why I
- 42:37Speaker 4: got earlier, because I do feel like the kids get
- 42:39Speaker 4: out early and they go back so early.
- 42:41Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean starting you know, first or second week
- 42:43Speaker 6: of August. I don't remember ever doing that here in Texas,
- 42:47Speaker 6: he says.
- 42:48Speaker 5: You know, it's one of the dumbest things we.
- 42:50Speaker 6: Do as a state to start in the middle of
- 42:51Speaker 6: the hottest months.
- 42:52Speaker 1: So set.
- 42:53Speaker 6: Yeah, they're talking about the proposal being called Save our
- 42:56Speaker 6: Summer Act, you know, to protect students who do athletics
- 42:59Speaker 6: and extra curriculars like band outside in extreme heat is
- 43:03Speaker 6: also part of the focus of this.
- 43:04Speaker 5: But one person was saying, you know, they're.
- 43:06Speaker 6: Doing this because they can't change when state testing happens,
- 43:10Speaker 6: so they tried to get as much time in leading
- 43:13Speaker 6: up to that as they can. So starting later would
- 43:15Speaker 6: take away, you know, a month or so of instructional
- 43:18Speaker 6: time to get.
- 43:19Speaker 5: Ready, just as the teachers.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Teachers know it's all yeah, I ask them, but either way,
- 43:23Speaker 4: back to school time. I know Allen's back today, McKinney.
- 43:27Speaker 4: We actually talked about a lot of these schools yesterday. Yeah,
- 43:29Speaker 4: and their football team. So if you missed it, You
- 43:31Speaker 4: can always find us in our podcast and all the
- 43:33Speaker 4: replays and all that good stuff on the iHeartRadio app.
- 43:36Speaker 4: Just look up Mix one O two point nine or
- 43:38Speaker 4: Billy the Kid in the Morning.
- 43:39Speaker 1: You'll find it. But we talked about a lot of
- 43:41Speaker 1: these rivalries.
- 43:42Speaker 5: Couz Ly did.
- 43:43Speaker 1: This high school football year is going.
- 43:44Speaker 5: To be a good one, oh for sure, guys.
- 43:47Speaker 6: A single ticket bought in Illinois won a billion dollar
- 43:50Speaker 6: Powerball jackpot last night. The prize for a cash value
- 43:54Speaker 6: would be a little more than four hundred and fifty
- 43:56Speaker 6: million dollars before taxes if it's taken as a lump sum.
- 44:01Speaker 6: They said, this is the eighth largest prize in the
- 44:03Speaker 6: game's history.
- 44:04Speaker 5: But people have been waiting to see what's going to.
- 44:06Speaker 6: Happen with the power Ball because it hasn't done anything
- 44:08Speaker 6: since May.
- 44:08Speaker 4: I think I just can't imagine anybody not taking all
- 44:10Speaker 4: the money at once.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Right, Do you really want payments?
- 44:14Speaker 12: Right?
- 44:14Speaker 2: No?
- 44:15Speaker 1: I just get it here, give it all, give me
- 44:17Speaker 1: my money.
- 44:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I want to jump into the mound of dollar.
- 44:22Speaker 8: You know.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I know it's a lot of money.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Either way, Maybe a financially responsible person would do otherwise,
- 44:27Speaker 4: but that's not me.
- 44:28Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure.
- 44:29Speaker 6: Guys, we have the first comment from Travis Kelce on
- 44:32Speaker 6: the big wedding that happened last month.
- 44:35Speaker 5: He was at training camp and they talked to him
- 44:37Speaker 5: about it. Here's what I had to say.
- 44:39Speaker 9: Wedding was the best night of my life. And I
- 44:41Speaker 9: appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and uh, you know,
- 44:45Speaker 9: had fun with us.
- 44:46Speaker 10: So it was a crazy night.
- 44:47Speaker 4: It was.
- 44:48Speaker 10: It was full of a lot of celebration. But it's football.
- 44:50Speaker 4: Baby, it's football baby. We are different there.
- 44:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:54Speaker 6: I guess he had just finished practice or maybe he
- 44:56Speaker 6: was about to start practice.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Sounds like, hold.
- 44:58Speaker 10: On, it's a fun off season man. Wedding was the
- 45:00Speaker 10: best night of my life.
- 45:01Speaker 1: I think his.
- 45:02Speaker 4: Voice got deeper, like he's acting different. So yeah, I mean,
- 45:04Speaker 4: I think you don't want you marry Taylor Swift. You
- 45:06Speaker 4: just immediately more.
- 45:08Speaker 5: Makes your voice go d he's been singing. Doesn't he
- 45:11Speaker 5: want to do a music career at some point?
- 45:13Speaker 1: Really?
- 45:14Speaker 5: I think?
- 45:14Speaker 8: So?
- 45:14Speaker 5: Come on, I could see that happening.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Collab oh with Taylor.
- 45:18Speaker 6: Oh they don't do it like Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Yeah, please just don't do it. Just play football.
- 45:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:27Speaker 6: By the way, twenty years ago today, Taylor Swift announced
- 45:30Speaker 6: the release of her debut.
- 45:31Speaker 5: Album via MySpace. Twenty years How are we this all?
- 45:36Speaker 5: I know it's happening.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Wowick guy, here's my space. Now my space is coming.
- 45:40Speaker 5: Back, dude, I hope.
- 45:41Speaker 6: So if that rubor turns out to be true, I
- 45:43Speaker 6: cannot wait to log in.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I'm already taking notes of who's going to be in
- 45:45Speaker 1: my top eight. You are who's going to be better
- 45:47Speaker 1: be us? You'll be there for sure. Camp. Yeah, I
- 45:49Speaker 1: think I can't be in your top eight. It's between
- 45:52Speaker 1: you and Tom. I don't know Tom's automatic. Yeah, no,
- 45:56Speaker 1: well you can yeah, now you're going to be able
- 45:57Speaker 1: to move him.
- 45:59Speaker 6: Oh Tom, we'll see same profile picture for twenty years.
- 46:03Speaker 6: All right, I'm Candoslopez. Those are your Texas top stories.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Oh that's a hot take.
- 46:08Speaker 8: Let us know what you think.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Here's today's hot take.
- 46:10Speaker 1: It makes one or two point nine. Good morning.
- 46:12Speaker 4: It's Bailey the Kid, Canda Slopez is here, producer, who
- 46:15Speaker 4: is here? This guy he's gone viral because he's going
- 46:17Speaker 4: off on what a lot of people are starting to
- 46:20Speaker 4: call pervert glasses. Oh boy, metaglasses. Okay, they're not the
- 46:26Speaker 4: only ones who make obviously glasses that you can record
- 46:29Speaker 4: with and whatnot, and these are becoming very very popular
- 46:32Speaker 4: and a lot of people.
- 46:33Speaker 1: I have a pair. I don't really wear them that
- 46:36Speaker 1: much because I thought I was going.
- 46:37Speaker 6: To write because it's fun to capture something once or
- 46:40Speaker 6: twice and then you're like, well now what.
- 46:41Speaker 4: Right, But you know it's becoming a weird thing where
- 46:44Speaker 4: people are secretly and I think Meta tried to avoid
- 46:47Speaker 4: the secret recording by having a light on them and
- 46:49Speaker 4: if you cover that light then it won't record.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Right.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Oh, so if you have your metaglasses on your recording,
- 46:55Speaker 4: the light comes on. But if you know you cover
- 46:58Speaker 4: that up because you don't want people to see the
- 46:59Speaker 4: light or put a sticker over it or something, well
- 47:01Speaker 4: then it won't record.
- 47:03Speaker 1: But now there's ways around it.
- 47:04Speaker 4: Now there's people that online are going, okay, I can
- 47:07Speaker 4: hack into it and make the light inoperable and it
- 47:11Speaker 4: still records.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Yeah, now metas finding ways to go around that.
- 47:15Speaker 4: So if you mess with the light then it won't
- 47:17Speaker 4: record at all and your glasses won't work. So there's
- 47:20Speaker 4: all these things going back and forth. But he goes
- 47:22Speaker 4: online because he was mad he was at the beach
- 47:25Speaker 4: and people were wearing medaglasses.
- 47:27Speaker 15: Yesterday, I'm at the beach with my six month old
- 47:29Speaker 15: and my partner, and all of a sudden, my phone
- 47:31Speaker 15: pigs me from my auntie Zuck app saying, hey, there's
- 47:33Speaker 15: a pair of metaglasses around you, to which I say
- 47:36Speaker 15: to the guy wearing the pair of meta glasses, hey,
- 47:38Speaker 15: can you not have those on while we're at the beach?
- 47:41Speaker 15: And then I get three more pigs from three other
- 47:44Speaker 15: devices within a thirty foot radius mine. I had barely
- 47:47Speaker 15: budged other than to go to the restroom while I'm
- 47:49Speaker 15: on the beach. But it turns out that there are
- 47:52Speaker 15: probably twenty or fifty or hundreds of people at the
- 47:56Speaker 15: beach wearing medaglasses. I just got to ask you creeps,
- 48:00Speaker 15: you bringing them to the beach, what are you using
- 48:02Speaker 15: them for?
- 48:02Speaker 4: Okay, now, right, this is the question. Should they be
- 48:07Speaker 4: banned at a beach? Metaglasses? Should they be banned at
- 48:11Speaker 4: a beach? I mean, obviously we don't have a ton
- 48:12Speaker 4: of beaches here. Yeah, so I mean little Elm Beach
- 48:15Speaker 4: on like Louisville, you know. But what I'm talking about,
- 48:18Speaker 4: pools whatever? Where should they be banned. Does he have
- 48:20Speaker 4: a point or is this like he overreacting.
- 48:23Speaker 6: I don't know how you do it, but yeah, that's annoying.
- 48:26Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 48:27Speaker 6: Why are you filming people in their swimsuits, people tanning,
- 48:30Speaker 6: people running by and you know, on the beach.
- 48:32Speaker 4: Now I'm gonna play Devil's advocate though, because not everybody's
- 48:35Speaker 4: a pervert.
- 48:36Speaker 1: No, of course not.
- 48:37Speaker 4: You don't look at people always video at beaches and
- 48:40Speaker 4: they're taking pictures of you know, the beach, or they're
- 48:42Speaker 4: taking pictures of themselves or friends.
- 48:45Speaker 6: It's usually very obvious when they're doing it because they
- 48:47Speaker 6: have their phone out or they have their camera.
- 48:49Speaker 1: So that's what people don't like about it.
- 48:51Speaker 4: Yes, you don't like the fact that you can't really
- 48:53Speaker 4: tell when somebody's recording, right, But it doesn't change the
- 48:56Speaker 4: fact that they're recording.
- 48:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:58Speaker 4: So and if you see the light on, that's what
- 49:00Speaker 4: people's some people's point, it's like, well, you see the light,
- 49:02Speaker 4: it's on.
- 49:03Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a tiny, tiny light.
- 49:04Speaker 6: Your whole glasses should light up, you know what I mean,
- 49:06Speaker 6: Like it should be the.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Brightest slide light, red light, something to alert me.
- 49:11Speaker 7: Because if you're outside of the beach, in the sun shining,
- 49:15Speaker 7: I can't see that little funky light.
- 49:16Speaker 4: But if it's a public beach, there's nothing illegal about it.
- 49:19Speaker 4: I'm just playing Devil's advocate. I'm not saying you should.
- 49:21Speaker 5: I hear you. I don't know you'd ever ban those
- 49:23Speaker 5: from the beach, right.
- 49:24Speaker 7: But when you're at the beach, you know, if i'm
- 49:27Speaker 7: video and family members or something, you can tell I'm
- 49:30Speaker 7: video in my family or something like that, you know,
- 49:32Speaker 7: But with those glasses, somebody could just be walking by
- 49:35Speaker 7: and just eyeing my kids or something like that.
- 49:37Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 49:38Speaker 6: I mean, I like it to be only the app
- 49:40Speaker 6: to be like, well, I don't want that close to me.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know, let me turn.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Your glasses off if I don't want to.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Move on now, that would be cool. But where do
- 49:47Speaker 1: you think they should be banned? So you're saying beaches, schools,
- 49:50Speaker 1: school okay, schools, yeah.
- 49:53Speaker 5: I mean gyms would be nice gyms.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Swim swimming pools like at my apartment. You know, well,
- 49:59Speaker 1: you're you're rans could do that. It's private, so they
- 50:01Speaker 1: could ban them if they wanted to, because there's kids
- 50:03Speaker 1: out there in the pool. But there's not enemy way.
- 50:05Speaker 4: There's no way you can ban these metaglasses in public
- 50:09Speaker 4: medical offices.
- 50:10Speaker 6: Did you see that woman who said she was having
- 50:12Speaker 6: like a brass augmentation done and her doctor had them
- 50:14Speaker 6: on and she noticed it, and she called them out
- 50:17Speaker 6: on it, and he said, they're not recording. He just
- 50:19Speaker 6: likes to get text messages. I'm like, you're wearing an
- 50:23Speaker 6: Apple Watch.
- 50:24Speaker 7: Wait a minute, you're getting text messages while you while
- 50:27Speaker 7: I'm under the knight.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Right getting the augmentation.
- 50:30Speaker 5: She called them out on it.
- 50:31Speaker 6: But there's got to be places you just can't wear these.
- 50:34Speaker 5: Stop it. What do you need this footage for? Just live?
- 50:36Speaker 4: Well, some people influencers are the one who are really,
- 50:39Speaker 4: you know, fighting against this, because some restaurants have banned
- 50:41Speaker 4: and I just saw this one restaurant who said and
- 50:43Speaker 4: bar restaurant bar said you can no longer wear them
- 50:45Speaker 4: in here. I don't care their perfect glasses, bottom line whatever. Yeah,
- 50:48Speaker 4: and a lot of people it was pretty split online.
- 50:50Speaker 4: People were like, oh great. There was some people going listen,
- 50:53Speaker 4: I'm an influencer or whatever I do content, whatever that
- 50:57Speaker 4: may be. Even if it's not an influencer, I use
- 51:00Speaker 4: these glasses for work.
- 51:01Speaker 1: It's nothing will.
- 51:02Speaker 5: Work somewhere else.
- 51:03Speaker 1: It's not disgusting. I'm not a pervert.
- 51:05Speaker 4: I'm not someone who's and I have them, but I'm
- 51:07Speaker 4: not a weirdo with them. No, you're doing anything crazy
- 51:11Speaker 4: with them. But I feel like this the same people
- 51:13Speaker 4: are getting mad at metaglasses. Do you have a point
- 51:15Speaker 4: if you should be mad at any Tesla driver?
- 51:19Speaker 1: Okay, Tesla Tesla.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Every tesla has eight cameras on it and you don't
- 51:23Speaker 4: know when it's recording you.
- 51:24Speaker 1: That's yeah, So it's pulling up next to.
- 51:27Speaker 4: You, and it's recording your kids, where's it going, It's
- 51:30Speaker 4: recording everything. So should you be just as mad as
- 51:33Speaker 4: it's something somebody who drives a Tesla? Should they be banned?
- 51:36Speaker 12: Right?
- 51:36Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean obviously they're not taking them into restaurants and.
- 51:39Speaker 5: Whatnot, driving on the beach and they're tesla or.
- 51:41Speaker 4: Driving on the beach, right, But it's the same thing.
- 51:44Speaker 4: It's I mean, you're being you're actually being recorded everywhere
- 51:47Speaker 4: you go. Anyway we leave the house, we're getting recorded
- 51:50Speaker 4: all day. So that's my point. Is is it a
- 51:53Speaker 4: little bit it's a slippery slope, No, it is.
- 51:56Speaker 6: But I think like something's got to be done before next.
- 51:59Speaker 6: You know, I'm getting by your backpack, by your watch,
- 52:02Speaker 6: by your boots.
- 52:03Speaker 1: You actually are by your I'm wearing a meta backpack. Oh,
- 52:07Speaker 1: it's actually recording you right now.
- 52:10Speaker 4: So what about the guys who go up to women
- 52:13Speaker 4: in public and their whole content is they're on Instagram,
- 52:16Speaker 4: they wear metaglasses and they hit on women in public
- 52:18Speaker 4: and then they post it.
- 52:20Speaker 1: They post it.
- 52:20Speaker 6: Yeah, you're just using people for your own content. I
- 52:23Speaker 6: don't want to be on your video.
- 52:24Speaker 4: How can they do that? That's in public? Where does
- 52:27Speaker 4: it go? It goes online? Yeah, there's nothing you can
- 52:30Speaker 4: do about it, say for nothing. Well, if they're doing
- 52:33Speaker 4: it on social media, if they're using it for commercial use,
- 52:35Speaker 4: then you can't do But if if I film you
- 52:37Speaker 4: in public, I can put it on my Instagram.
- 52:40Speaker 1: Right without telling me. Yeah, you're in public for sure.
- 52:44Speaker 6: I mean, how do people shame people all the time.
- 52:46Speaker 1: From the I'm not saying that right, but it's it's
- 52:49Speaker 1: the first Amendment.
- 52:50Speaker 5: Our culture is just crazy.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Yeah, So just something to think about.
- 52:54Speaker 4: Where do you think metaglasses should be banned eight three
- 52:57Speaker 4: three seven eight seven one two nine.
- 52:58Speaker 1: Or maybe you think they shouldn't be What do you.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Think from you mixed one on two point nine. Oh
- 53:04Speaker 2: that's a hot take.
- 53:05Speaker 8: Let us know what you think.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Here's today's hot take, a mixed one or two point nine?
- 53:09Speaker 4: Should metaglasses be banned? A lot of businesses are actually
- 53:12Speaker 4: already doing this. I read this story about a borrow
- 53:16Speaker 4: put up a sign they won't let you in if
- 53:17Speaker 4: you have mom They call him Perver glasses. This guy's
- 53:20Speaker 4: going off online saying he's at the beach.
- 53:22Speaker 15: And yesterday I at the beach with my six month
- 53:24Speaker 15: old and my partner, and all of a sudden, my
- 53:26Speaker 15: phone pigs me from my auntie zuck app saying, hey,
- 53:29Speaker 15: there's a pair of metaglasses around you, to which I
- 53:32Speaker 15: say to the guy wearing a pair of meta glasses,
- 53:34Speaker 15: hey can you not have those on while we're at
- 53:36Speaker 15: the beach? And then I get three more pigs from three.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Other devices, which I never get these pings.
- 53:42Speaker 5: I didn't know that was possible.
- 53:43Speaker 1: I didn't know either.
- 53:44Speaker 4: So he's at the beach, he gets pinged that there's
- 53:45Speaker 4: metaglasses around him. It's kind of like an air tag,
- 53:47Speaker 4: you know, there's an air tag around which you're going
- 53:49Speaker 4: to be pinged all the time. And he's like, I'm
- 53:52Speaker 4: surprised he confronted the guy. To be honest, I'm surprised.
- 53:55Speaker 4: He was like, Hey, why do you have to have
- 53:56Speaker 4: those on? It's if it's a public beach, there's nothing
- 53:59Speaker 4: you can do about it. But what places should ban
- 54:01Speaker 4: them or maybe they shouldn't ban them at all?
- 54:03Speaker 1: Does it feel weird a little bit? Brittany, what do
- 54:05Speaker 1: you think?
- 54:06Speaker 4: Uh?
- 54:06Speaker 13: No, I don't, just because there's so many things that
- 54:11Speaker 13: you can record now right at the beach, most especially
- 54:15Speaker 13: like with my family. I would love to record an
- 54:17Speaker 13: experience with my kids at the beach and not have
- 54:19Speaker 13: to worry about my phone getting damaged or a camera
- 54:22Speaker 13: getting damaged. So you just kind of got to be
- 54:24Speaker 13: aware like everything else, you know, how you dress your kids,
- 54:27Speaker 13: how you dress yourself, how you want to be perceived,
- 54:30Speaker 13: you know, and then being okay with that being exposed.
- 54:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, the cameras make people act right in
- 54:37Speaker 6: public because you don't want to get, you know, exposed
- 54:39Speaker 6: like that and you're not gonna do something stupid.
- 54:42Speaker 5: I like that, But that's about it, right.
- 54:44Speaker 4: But at the same time, you're right, Brittany's right, like
- 54:46Speaker 4: if you film, if you like, if you were to
- 54:48Speaker 4: ban metaglasses, then you're gonna have to ban phones, yeah,
- 54:50Speaker 4: or anything with the recording device.
- 54:51Speaker 1: You can't just ban one thing, if you know what
- 54:53Speaker 1: I mean.
- 54:54Speaker 13: Yeah, because there's so it's so split, like how are
- 54:57Speaker 13: you going to take that away from the experiences of
- 54:59Speaker 13: the people that are doing for the right reason, That
- 55:00Speaker 13: people are doing for the wrong reason, just like people
- 55:03Speaker 13: that are wanting to be perverts and then you have
- 55:06Speaker 13: people that are not. Not everybody is a pervert, so
- 55:08Speaker 13: you can't like there's such a line.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Yeah, really, you're right, And that's one thing I thought.
- 55:13Speaker 4: That's one thing I agree with you on too. Is
- 55:14Speaker 4: like another thing, you can't assume everybody.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Is a pervert.
- 55:17Speaker 6: Yeah, we can't have the metaglass police walking around.
- 55:22Speaker 1: So all right, Brittany, Hey, thank you so much. Brittany.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I appreciate you calling up. Cody. What's up, Cody.
- 55:28Speaker 4: What do you think should they be banned in certain
- 55:29Speaker 4: places or maybe not at all?
- 55:31Speaker 1: Whatever? You think?
- 55:32Speaker 14: OK, certain places, but like the situation just explained, I
- 55:35Speaker 14: don't think so. I mean, it's a little controversialized they've
- 55:38Speaker 14: already said, but I mean there's block cameras everywhere. I
- 55:40Speaker 14: know we're trying to get those things banned. But like
- 55:43Speaker 14: you said, that's part of the First Amendment, right, I
- 55:45Speaker 14: mean they're everywhere. You're always being recorded, no matter where
- 55:48Speaker 14: you're at.
- 55:49Speaker 10: That's where.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 55:51Speaker 4: Like those flock cameras are everywhere, everywhere.
- 55:55Speaker 14: Every corner.
- 55:56Speaker 1: It is kind of weird. It does feel weird, but
- 55:58Speaker 1: you're right.
- 55:59Speaker 5: Like, yeah, and when did they go up? Like I
- 56:01Speaker 5: don't even notice.
- 56:02Speaker 7: I remember I had a flat on George Bush and
- 56:05Speaker 7: I was talking. You know, on the back of your
- 56:06Speaker 7: license you call, you call for help. I called, and
- 56:09Speaker 7: he goes, is that you wearing a blue jacket? And
- 56:12Speaker 7: I was like, yeah, see me, Yeah, help more people.
- 56:20Speaker 5: You're right, people stranded all the time.
- 56:22Speaker 1: They know where you're at, they know what's going on.
- 56:24Speaker 4: So yeah, it's hard to ban it because you're going
- 56:26Speaker 4: against the constitution. But at some point, I guess if
- 56:28Speaker 4: you're private, you can do whatever you want. But if
- 56:30Speaker 4: you're public, I mean you just got to expect. And
- 56:33Speaker 4: the flock cameras are a whole other conversations. People are
- 56:36Speaker 4: mad about.
- 56:37Speaker 10: It, exactly, mad about that the whole thing.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I'm starting to notice them more and
- 56:42Speaker 4: more now because I didn't even pay attention.
- 56:44Speaker 2: It is.
- 56:45Speaker 4: It is crazy how they're popping up in places you
- 56:47Speaker 4: wouldn't even expect, like in neighborhoods.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Weird flock cameras in the neighborhoods.
- 56:52Speaker 16: But it does help though, because like my neighbor got
- 56:55Speaker 16: broken into the other day and the cup were at
- 56:57Speaker 16: our house within like two to three minutes. Nobody even
- 57:00Speaker 16: right and wow, it benefit it does. It does where
- 57:05Speaker 16: people are coming from.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I get why it would make people nervous at
- 57:08Speaker 4: the same time because if like anything in technology wise,
- 57:12Speaker 4: they can't It's technology is great, but it can also
- 57:14Speaker 4: be used for harm. But we always assume that everybody's
- 57:17Speaker 4: out to be a bad guy, which is not always
- 57:20Speaker 4: the case.
- 57:20Speaker 1: But all right, Cody, Hey, thank you so much for calling.
- 57:23Speaker 1: We appreciate it, man, I appreciate you.
- 57:25Speaker 12: Guys, I appreciate listening to well. Thank you.
- 57:28Speaker 1: That means a lot to us.
- 57:29Speaker 4: It is just kind of weird, like seeing these you
- 57:31Speaker 4: know what I mean, because the flock cameras pop up,
- 57:34Speaker 4: and like we have that story about the detective of
- 57:36Speaker 4: the cop who was using the flock cameras to track
- 57:39Speaker 4: one of her.
- 57:39Speaker 5: Exes has access to this well, the police.
- 57:43Speaker 4: Can look it up and they can find out and
- 57:45Speaker 4: it helps in so many cases, you know, like it's
- 57:48Speaker 4: investigations and whatnot. But she was using it to basically
- 57:52Speaker 4: find out where people were going and using fake case numbers,
- 57:56Speaker 4: and then everywhere they went, she was watching them.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Weird, we're being watched right now. I know where right there,
- 58:04Speaker 1: it's a flock camera. I see it. Yeah, it's in
- 58:06Speaker 1: the Pooh's roles in the back of his head. I
- 58:08Speaker 1: knew the government was watching us.
- 58:11Speaker 8: It's Top Stories on the Tents with Billy's the Kid in.
- 58:14Speaker 2: The morning only on the new Mix one O two
- 58:17Speaker 2: point nine.
- 58:17Speaker 1: All right, canus what is going on?
- 58:18Speaker 6: Well, we got triple digits again today. By the time
- 58:21Speaker 6: you're picking up students and Wiley, Allen, crandall Melissa and
- 58:24Speaker 6: all the other districts headed back to school today, that
- 58:27Speaker 6: heat index are saying could be up to one oh
- 58:29Speaker 6: seven in some parts of the metroplex.
- 58:32Speaker 5: So just a heads up, oh.
- 58:33Speaker 4: Speaking, a pickup line and drop offline. Don't forget we're
- 58:36Speaker 4: doing a contest right now. So tag us if you're
- 58:38Speaker 4: in the drop off line at school or the pickup line,
- 58:40Speaker 4: take a picture of you listening to us tag us
- 58:43Speaker 4: at Mixed one O two nine FM. We're gonna pick
- 58:45Speaker 4: a car line and just show up and give away a.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Ton of stuff.
- 58:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm excited about that.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that'll be fun.
- 58:49Speaker 5: So make sure you do that for sure, guys.
- 58:51Speaker 6: According to thousands of Americans in a new survey, the
- 58:54Speaker 6: Southern accent was named the most attractive accent in the country.
- 58:59Speaker 6: People said, the South and drawl sounds warm, unhurried, and
- 59:02Speaker 6: genuinely friendly.
- 59:03Speaker 5: And I think that's so accurate.
- 59:05Speaker 1: It's so accurate.
- 59:06Speaker 4: You know, the accent I was talking about a minutego
- 59:07Speaker 4: like the Fargo Yeah, like uh Minnesota.
- 59:14Speaker 1: Producer, Pooh, what in the len was that?
- 59:17Speaker 5: That was worse than mine?
- 59:20Speaker 1: Dora talking about.
- 59:27Speaker 5: It's also the inflection.
- 59:29Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, Poo's so good at accents. I mean, yeah, okay,
- 59:34Speaker 4: do a Southern accent. Hey y'all, how y'all doing? Okay,
- 59:37Speaker 4: that's the only one you can do. Do an Irish accent?
- 59:41Speaker 4: I mean, Lucky charms.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Talk about it, But you're right, it is that. To me,
- 59:49Speaker 1: it is the best accent and the most attractive accent.
- 59:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:53Speaker 6: Now if you bring it down by state, though, they
- 59:54Speaker 6: said Louisiana was actually ranked number one. Texas was ranked
- 59:58Speaker 6: number two, So yeah, I don't agree with that.
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: But flip exactly, guys. The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: Uniform is getting its first update ever an official ear ring.
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: So they just announced a partnership with Kendra Scott. Of course,
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: she's based in Austin. The earring is called the Bella
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: stud It's now officially.
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: Part of the DCC uniform.
- 1:00:20Speaker 6: They say it's inspired by the Texas Stars stadium lights
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: and the energy of game day.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: These earrings are available for pre order. They sell for
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: eighty five dollars. I think that's so.
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: Cool, cool that they're finally adding that. But I'm thinking back, like,
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: what did they wear before? Did they get to wear earrings?
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: I don't even remember.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever looked at their ears.
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I love the Netflix show though.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: Yeah for sure, I'm just saying. I'm not saying I
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: looked at other things. Okay, that's what they usual eye contact, Okay,
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: I got Okay, sure.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: Guys, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: No, the dating app Bumble is making another major change.
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: They're now going to allow men to make the first
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: move on the app. So there things always been women
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: go first, but users will be able to respond to
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: first messages within seventy two hours instead of twenty four hours.
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: But Bumble says their community is asking for more flexibility,
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: less pressure, and more opportunities to make real, meaningful connections.
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: So yeah, I think all of these dating apps are
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: kind of having struggles seeing their user numbers go down.
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: So maybe they figure if we can let men, you know,
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: do the swipe, we'll get more users.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Are people like meeting in real life again?
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: Yeah? I think so.
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: Yeah, they laid off thirty percent of their global workforce
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: just last year, and I know tenders user numbers have
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: gone down significantly too, So why that is? Yeah, unless
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: people are just matched up and now they're just quitting apps.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: I mean there's still a lot of single people. Maybe
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: maybe that's do with COVID. It's spiked during that people
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: are not you know, meeting in real life. Maybe that's
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: the difference.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: Yeah, or maybe people just meeting on social media.
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: In general now Yeah, okay, like Instagram or whatever platform
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: time good point.
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: Possibly, Yeah, I'm Kanda Slopez. Those are your Texas top stories.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: One mix one O two point nine. This is dirty
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Little Secrets.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: I'm mixed one O two point nine, Billy the Kid,
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: Candice Long Fans producer, poo your confessions, your secrets anytime
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: you want eight three three seven eight seven.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: One o two nine.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: If some people hit me up on line on Instagram
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: and they'll be like, hey, I got one, you could
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: do it there too, at Billy on the Radio. Whatever
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: you feel most comfortable with, and you have one confess.
- 1:02:32Speaker 12: Yeah, I have a confession that my wife and I've
- 1:02:34Speaker 12: been lying about for for years now, and it's, uh,
- 1:02:38Speaker 12: well it's kind of starting to catch you up with us.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:02:41Speaker 12: We have this son who's in elementary school, and from
- 1:02:46Speaker 12: the very beginning, I was, you know, determined that he
- 1:02:50Speaker 12: wasn't going to go to our neighborhood school.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Okay, it's not good.
- 1:02:54Speaker 12: So every year when it's about time to register and
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: we use a friend's address, okay because yeah, yeah, because
- 1:03:01Speaker 12: because I do not want him going to the Mesquite schools.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I mean sorry school, you said Mesquite schools.
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: What's going on with Mesquite schools?
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: I knew was going to get trouble.
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: I'm genuinely curious.
- 1:03:21Speaker 12: I know you're from there, but you know I want
- 1:03:24Speaker 12: him to go to the Plano schools.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: Damn Mesquite catching astray for real. I know, I messed
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: with Mesquite a lot because I love Mesquite. Yeah, but
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: I genuinely know a lot of people who have their
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: kids in Mesquite schools and they're great.
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: I mean I haven't checked the school ratings in the
- 1:03:44Speaker 6: years or ever.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: My schools thriving. Look at your Yeah, what school did
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you go to? Mesquite?
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: I went to Mesquite High School and at Knew Middle School.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: You're a skeeter.
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: Yeah, my oldest son went to Mosquie School, right Porter
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: Elementary shout out.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: Okay, so you said forget that, we're going to plane.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: Out all right?
- 1:04:05Speaker 12: Yeah, well this is all my idea, Yeah, my idea.
- 1:04:09Speaker 12: My wife wasn't crazy about it at first, but I
- 1:04:11Speaker 12: convinced her that it would be better for him, and
- 1:04:14Speaker 12: she's you know, been going along with it ever since.
- 1:04:16Speaker 12: So I got to admit a kind of panic because
- 1:04:21Speaker 12: the lion Oney was waiting for that phone call, you know,
- 1:04:24Speaker 12: asking for you know, uh, some other proof residency or.
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: Someone you know, because like figure it out, you got
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: to use someone else's address, like the water.
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: Bill or something.
- 1:04:35Speaker 12: That all worked out, you know, and so you know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 12: as my son gets older, it's kind of getting harder
- 1:04:42Speaker 12: to keep the lie going. That's that's the issue, right.
- 1:04:45Speaker 12: He wants to hang out. Yeah, he wants to hang
- 1:04:47Speaker 12: out with his friends after school. He wants to go
- 1:04:49Speaker 12: to birthday parties, ride bikes around the neighborhood. And we
- 1:04:52Speaker 12: don't live anywhere near them.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't even think about that. Yeah, like, you
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: want to hang out with your school friends, but you can't.
- 1:04:58Speaker 16: Right, that's a long way are in the backfire.
- 1:05:00Speaker 12: I mean, if we were closed, it'd be one thing,
- 1:05:02Speaker 12: but not really that close.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: So you think Mosquit's that bad, right, Well I did, but.
- 1:05:10Speaker 12: You know it's kind of like yeah, yeah, I mean, yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:16Speaker 12: all right, so you know, no, people are probably gonna
- 1:05:18Speaker 12: judge me. But you know, from where we live, a
- 1:05:20Speaker 12: lot of people had said that, you know, Mesquite schools
- 1:05:23Speaker 12: have a tough reputation, that's all.
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, but every district has a certain school
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: you don't want to go to, or you know, the
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: one you do want to go to. So I mean,
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: I haven't been involved in misd since nineteen ninety nine,
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: So dang.
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: Granny, it is what it is. Nineteen hundreds. You're not
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: doing anything crazy wrong.
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: Ish, I just moved it was fair or not.
- 1:05:48Speaker 12: You know, I bought into it. I convinced myself I
- 1:05:51Speaker 12: was doing was best for my kid. But you know,
- 1:05:52Speaker 12: I'm wondering if I created a bigger problem for myself
- 1:05:55Speaker 12: and my wife. You know, you know, we can't do
- 1:05:57Speaker 12: it forever.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: So no, I mean, logistically that's a nightmare.
- 1:06:01Speaker 12: Because if we come clean now, I don't know what,
- 1:06:03Speaker 12: you know, what's going to happen. Whether they're gonna make
- 1:06:05Speaker 12: a switch schools you know.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Oh yeah yeah, yeah, they probably will.
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: Yeah, but also like finding a house in that district
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: that goes to that school.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: I mean that's not always easy.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Well, hopefully you feel better, But he got it off
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: your chest.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: It could be worse. My mom did this when I
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: was a kid, Yeah she did. Yeah, because I grew
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: up in Detroit. Otherwise I'd have been going to like
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: the worst school on the planet.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: Yeah. I know a friend who's doing the same thing
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: with the grandparents address.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: But it's a Mosquite. It's not Detroit. Mosquite is not Detroit. Yeah, no,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: it's close. Not just kidding. Parts of Mosquite is like natural. Yeah,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: I mean, Cantus is offended she's very offended so much.
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: I'm kind of shocked, honestly.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: That's okay. I appreciate your honesty and thank.
- 1:06:44Speaker 12: You for calling.
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: You're putting in the work for your kid.
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: But whoa, yeah, you're you're trying it. That's what it
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: comes down to, is you love your kid. You're trying
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: to do the best thing, and it'll work itself out.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: And thank you for telling us. And I appreciate your secret.
- 1:06:56Speaker 12: Thanks, I appreciate your help.
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: All right, but I think Misqie schools are great. Yeah, no,
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: you know, I mess around. Kenni is probably the smartest
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: one on the show, and she went to the Ski schools.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Thanks, who you went to? What schools? I went to
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Duncanville schools? Yeah, oh, Duncanville's. I started in Oakliffe and
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: then ended up in Duncanville.
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: Okay, all right, Duncanville's good.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Yeah, No, duncan Hill's got great schools. His schools good,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: wasn't it. Yeah, Duncanville High School? Yeah, yeah, of course,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: don't doubt.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: Okay, well we'll see that if you win trivia tomorrow, Misfortunes,
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: will we do that?
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see how good.
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: The Duncanville School system was we'll take Duncanville versus a
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: skee right over here, So wheel the mis fortune tomorrow,
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: just the heads up, we'll do that. There you go,
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: there's your dirty little Secrets Mix one or two point nine.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: We're about to get out of here. We'll see tomorrow.
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: I have a great day, whatever you got going on.
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: If it's back to school, I hope the kids have
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: the best back to school day ever. Yeah, I know
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: there's a lot of pressure and that kind of stuff.
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: I'm excited because tomorrow's Friday. Thank goodness, Yes, thank goodness.
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: We have will a misfortune tomorrow, which I don't get
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: because not really well, we do trivia and then we lose.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: Whoever loses have to spin the wheelam it's fortune. It's
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: a bunch of ridiculous things. But I am excited because
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: tomorrow after the show, we're going to Coco Shrimp, Yes,
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: their brand new store at Wycliffe and the Tollway, and

- 1:08:22Speaker 4: celebrate how awesome you are, and how awesome Coco Shrimp
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: is and they got ten locations. We're gonna beat that
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: one tomorrow, just celebrating their grand opening.
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: It's gonna be a good time to try the tacos too.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: I don't know if you. Yeah, I love good Okay,
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: what is making sure?
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: Yeah?
