- 0:00So in the previous episode, we were all together
- 0:02in person. That was fun. Now we're back on Zoom.
- 0:06And can we tell the people listening what we
- 0:10did after we recorded while still together in
- 0:13person? We were, or actually you guys were competing
- 0:19who could do the best chicken noises. God. Because
- 0:25you guys love making noises. I was not blessed
- 0:28with. The ability to make noises. I can't even
- 0:31whistle, but I bet you guys have a mean whistle.
- 0:35Oh, I can whistle. Yeah, I do, in fact, love
- 0:39whistling. You can't do chicken noises, though.
- 0:43I can make chicken noises. I'm not going to ask
- 0:47you to make any chicken noises, but I do have
- 0:51to ask. You can't whistle right now. You can't
- 0:54whistle right now? No, not working. Not working?
- 0:58You can't whistle while working. But I was gonna
- 1:04ask, you can whistle, but would you whistle?
- 1:07Not for me, but in the woods. At night. Yeah,
- 1:13I've done it before. No. So, to get this straight,
- 1:18Angela would whistle in the woods at night, just
- 1:21not while working. But Brianna would not, under
- 1:25any circumstances, ever whistle in the woods
- 1:30at night no let's talk about that welcome to
- 1:34our podcast where we take deep dives looking
- 1:36at various topics through a paranormal lens i
- 1:40won't say that i haven't but it's purely by accident
- 1:44uh because i whistle constantly and i just forget
- 1:50so i don't purposely whistle in the woods at
- 1:54night but it happens But you know about the folklore
- 1:58and the superstition? Because it's across every
- 2:01culture, it seems. Like Appalachian culture,
- 2:05Native American, all these cultures going back
- 2:10centuries tell you not to whistle. And it's not
- 2:14even in the woods. Even, like, I was reading
- 2:16some sailors, some superstitions for sailors
- 2:19thought whistling mocked the wind and it would
- 2:23bring upon storms. Like, it was a calm... Day
- 2:26and you whistle that like that kind of cuts through
- 2:29the wind signals did not know about this so from
- 2:32the land to the sea there's all these superstitions
- 2:36about whistling and Whoa When did you hear about
- 2:42this? I feel like I've only heard about all the
- 2:45superstitions about whistling when you Brie have
- 2:49Accidentally whistled in the woods at night and
- 2:52then someone says oh you shouldn't have done
- 2:54that And I'm like, why? Yeah, I'm not sure where
- 2:58I first heard about the no whistling at night.
- 3:01It could be because I live more in northern Michigan
- 3:05and I do live in the woods that I'm trying to
- 3:10remember where I actually first heard the don't
- 3:14whistle at night thing. And I can't. I can't.
- 3:21Remember. You just grew up with it. What about
- 3:23you, Angelela? Angelela? Angelela. Trying something
- 3:27new. It didn't really stick. Angelela Jolie?
- 3:30Yes. So Brandon's, like, grew up with it. Have
- 3:34you heard this superstition before? Definitely
- 3:38not. I mean, I didn't really hear about it until
- 3:41I met you guys. Hmm. Well, to me, I'm always,
- 3:45like... who the fuck cares if you whistle you
- 3:50know i don't even know if it's something that
- 3:52i grew up with like i feel like it's something
- 3:54that i learned later it's just it just happened
- 3:58along the way i mean we've been doing it so long
- 4:00like paranormal stuff so long it's like different
- 4:02uh notions and different um peoples and cultures
- 4:08beliefs kind of intertwine with our investigations
- 4:12as a whole that's why i like doing this podcast
- 4:13because now we can actually date things that
- 4:16like when we have new ideas or theories or learn
- 4:19something we have like a date and can track them
- 4:21um but i'm kind of conflicted on the whole whistling
- 4:26thing personally because the whole reason uh
- 4:29i mean people say it's bad luck uh a majority
- 4:33of the people that warn against whistling especially
- 4:36in the woods is because it is essentially an
- 4:41invitation like when you whistle you know to
- 4:44your dog or you know to another person it's kind
- 4:48of like an invitation like come here type of
- 4:50thing yeah you're getting their attention and
- 4:53it's kind of one of those things it's like it's
- 4:55a universal language so kind of like what we're
- 4:58talking about in the ritual episode where it's
- 4:59like if you go up to an old ancient being that
- 5:03may not speak your english and you say what a
- 5:07demon like it might not respond but if you whistle
- 5:10everyone understands what you mean you know so
- 5:13you're fighting things you may not know to come
- 5:16over and interact um and i assume that's your
- 5:21hesitation as well too yes yeah that that is
- 5:25what i've known is like being the superstition
- 5:28behind whistling at night in the woods in a haunted
- 5:32location really anywhere is that it's is a i
- 5:38don't want to say summoning but it's like it's
- 5:41a call out that hey i'm here come find me or
- 5:45come to me or whatever it's and like yes we when
- 5:50we're going on investigations yeah that's kind
- 5:52of what we do but i feel like it's more in the
- 5:57superstition side of things specifically it brings
- 6:02about More beings and entities that are inhuman
- 6:09and we may not want to interact with, or at least
- 6:12I don't want to. That's just the thing with me.
- 6:15I want to interact with them. Yeah. So. But also.
- 6:22There's a time and place. Yeah. Also being someone
- 6:27who has been at a paranormal location and have
- 6:31had my mimic, my. whistle be mimicked back to
- 6:35me i don't necessarily like that we'll talk about
- 6:43that later yeah we need to get into that because
- 6:46we do we do need to talk about that yeah but
- 6:48um because i even i've talked to some paranormal
- 6:52investigators who are like you should not whistle
- 6:55at all like any time of the day in any haunted
- 6:59location and it's like i can understand that
- 7:03but also at the same time like i don't know i'll
- 7:07i'll whistle tunes and i feel like that um can
- 7:13be more of like a calming energy and bring about
- 7:16a different sort of energy into an investigation
- 7:20compared to just like a whistle for the purpose
- 7:25of trying to interact with something i don't
- 7:28know if that makes sense makes sense it does
- 7:31i get it for me it's like i don't think if you're
- 7:34like in an apartment or a house and you whistle
- 7:37like i don't know like to me the whole whistling
- 7:40thing the reason i'm conflicted on it is because
- 7:42like whistling is loud and it cuts through the
- 7:46air and it reaches further than if you're just
- 7:49standing in the middle of the woods and you just
- 7:50say you know hi and you're like come here yeah
- 7:58You're really only talking to the ghosts in your
- 8:00vicinity. If you whistle, though, that goes so
- 8:03far into the woods that you are essentially projecting
- 8:07and calling out to things that aren't in your
- 8:09immediate vicinity. But if you whistle in your
- 8:12house, that's just going to bounce back to you,
- 8:16I assume. Yeah. I do believe there's an element...
- 8:20I feel like when you're saying that, you're talking
- 8:23as... As if, like, you know how sound bounces
- 8:26off walls and stuff like that. Like, I feel like
- 8:31that doesn't necessarily count the same towards
- 8:34the spirit world. Like, your whistle, they'll
- 8:37know it anyway. It's not like it's... You know
- 8:41what I mean? Well, is it the whistle itself?
- 8:43Or is it the fact that... Because that's the
- 8:46thing, I don't think the sound of a whistle is
- 8:49necessary. Yes, it is a more universal language,
- 8:52and hey demon, what's up? But I don't think it's
- 8:55the whistle itself. To me, my hesitation is you're
- 9:00then extending the conversation and invitation
- 9:02to things that aren't in your vicinity. Like
- 9:06at Piercini, for example, which is, I think,
- 9:09what we all are wanting to talk about. We did
- 9:13the whole episode last week about... piercini
- 9:15what piercini is the new documentary we have
- 9:18out piercini plague in the pines and we spend
- 9:21the whole episode talking about all the crazy
- 9:22shit that didn't make the cut well we forgot
- 9:25to talk about this and this is why i wanted to
- 9:27talk about whistling in this episode is it's
- 9:31essentially a cemetery that's abandoned in the
- 9:33middle of the woods the woods are hella haunted
- 9:35the railroad track adjacent to the cemetery hella
- 9:39haunted when We were filming, and we split up,
- 9:43and you, Bree, were with... Who were you with?
- 9:46You were with Riley. I was with Riley, Tara,
- 9:49and Caleb. And you were in the clearing in the
- 9:52woods. Mm -hmm. And... Or you were sitting around
- 9:55a fire doing an Estes Method session. Yep, yep.
- 9:57And me, Angela, Trevor, and Tommy Tombstone,
- 10:01we were in the cemetery. And even though it's
- 10:05the same haunting... You know, when you're in
- 10:08a cemetery and we were investigating the grave
- 10:11of Augustine O'Dell, who's like a renowned veteran
- 10:16who is buried there. There's a lot of info on
- 10:19him in the historical society. We're trying to
- 10:21interact with him. If we're standing around a
- 10:24grave of a known resident and we're trying to
- 10:26interact with him, you want to do EVP. You want
- 10:30to talk to him. I don't want to whistle. and
- 10:34bring all the potentially elemental more inhuman
- 10:37ancient stuff to the resting place of these human
- 10:42spirits you know what i'm saying like that's
- 10:44my thing like you're now extending the conversation
- 10:47beyond the grave in front of you to all the other
- 10:51things in the woods that could then hear that
- 10:54whistle and come i don't know if that makes any
- 10:56sense but that's why i'm kind of about whistling
- 11:00yeah yeah makes sense uh but there was a weird
- 11:04moment we were around the grave and uh well well
- 11:10actually you need to set up what happened to
- 11:12you first because there's a weird moment where
- 11:14we both on opposite sides of the woods you know
- 11:18we're in the cemetery you were like on the other
- 11:20side in this clearing we both started without
- 11:24communicating with each other in no way of knowing
- 11:28what each other was doing yeah we both started
- 11:31whistling at the same time we both decided to
- 11:35whistle uh without talking to each other communicating
- 11:38we had no idea what each other were doing my
- 11:40group we just looked at each other like should
- 11:43we whistle just as a random thought then we started
- 11:45whistling then on the footage if you line it
- 11:48up your group riley just whistles, and then Tara,
- 11:56who has the Estus method set up, says, there
- 11:59was a whistle. You should whistle. And then Riley
- 12:02whistles again, and then she says, another whistle.
- 12:05That was so weird. It was beyond crazy. So we
- 12:09were whistling to each other without knowing
- 12:12it. Yeah. I don't know, synchronicity, weird.
- 12:15And how can Tara, who has the headphones that
- 12:20are noise canceling, she was doing the Estus
- 12:22method. how can she know that both you we whistled
- 12:28and you guys whistled because she said whistle
- 12:31and another whistle i don't know yeah and then
- 12:35right it was just a weird situation the whole
- 12:38thing was insane and right after that all the
- 12:40coyotes started howling too and it was just like
- 12:42and the whole everything just got so intense
- 12:46it was so weird but i do you think I do because
- 12:53again this didn't make the film this is one of
- 12:55those things it's like you hear this and you're
- 12:57like how did that not make it in the film but
- 13:00this isn't a spoiler because it is legit not
- 13:02in it at all if you want to see what actually
- 13:04made the film you can stream it right now on
- 13:06paraflex it's called pierce you need plague in
- 13:08the pines go watch it but do you guys think the
- 13:12whistling when you put it like that we had this
- 13:15whistling moment and then all the coyotes started
- 13:18howling and dude i don't think that was a coincidence
- 13:21honestly yeah i don't hit the fan it really did
- 13:26i don't i don't think i can't say it was or wasn't
- 13:31a coincidence i i don't know it's hard to say
- 13:38because like we're in the woods a lot of things
- 13:43can explain just being in the woods but You do
- 13:47have the factors of everything else that was
- 13:50going on at that point. It's almost too much
- 13:53to say. It's just coincidence. Bree, can whistling,
- 13:58like if you have a lot of whistling, could that
- 14:00stir up animals at all? Just normally? Or do
- 14:04they not normally respond to human whistles?
- 14:07They don't normally respond to human whistles
- 14:10that I know of. Now, we did a Bigfoot hunt. I
- 14:15think we might have talked about it on this podcast.
- 14:18We did a Bigfoot hunt many years ago. There are
- 14:21some weird Bigfoot calls that kind of incorporated
- 14:24whistling in them. What do you make of that?
- 14:27I was thinking about this just before the podcast
- 14:35because we were talking about a different project
- 14:38and I was thinking about how similar it is to
- 14:40Bigfoot hunting. And I'm like... Oh yeah, one
- 14:45of the calls for Bigfoot hunting is whistling
- 14:49because supposedly that's one of their forms
- 14:52of communication along with like wood knocks
- 14:54and howling. And it's like, how, why, I'm just
- 15:00baffled at like, just like you watch those Bigfoot
- 15:06documentaries and stuff and they'll sometimes
- 15:08get like whistle responses and it's like, is
- 15:12that actually Bigfoot? Is that something else?
- 15:18I don't know. I don't know. So why is Bigfoot
- 15:23whistling and knocking on trees? I don't know.
- 15:27But, like, he's not, you know, no one's finding
- 15:32his fur, his poop, sketchy footprints. No one's
- 15:37seen him, caught him, but he's just sitting there.
- 15:39Poor people. People have said that they've seen
- 15:41their footprints, but you don't really get any
- 15:44other evidence of anything else. I mean, some
- 15:47people claim to have found Bigfoot hair. True,
- 15:52but did they ever get tested or anything by a
- 15:54scientist? I mean, there is one show I was watching
- 15:57on Discovery for a while that was a Bigfoot hunting
- 16:01show, and they were very... very science -y about
- 16:05the whole thing and they'd collect samples and
- 16:07they would send them out for testing. But were
- 16:10they actually sending them out for testing? Who
- 16:14knows? If it's a bigger show, maybe. You can
- 16:17literally say anything on TV and be like, yeah,
- 16:21we're sending this out for testing. And later
- 16:24say, yeah, this came back as this. There's no
- 16:29way to verify that that's real. I'm thinking
- 16:32of, like, Expedition X. Like, they do that a
- 16:37lot. But, like, sometimes, but sometimes not.
- 16:40They'll go over to the place where the lab or
- 16:44whatever that they send it off to, and then they
- 16:46talk to the actual scientist and be like, oh,
- 16:49yeah, this is what this is. But who's to say
- 16:49that lab or scientists are actually, like, a
- 16:52real lab and real scientists? Exactly. Even if
- 16:55they are, it's like, yeah. you should do follow
- 17:00-up testing and there's like more to testing
- 17:02than just one quick like the minimum testing
- 17:04you need just to get a false positive to be able
- 17:07to say on tv oh this was really weird and then
- 17:11say quietly will require a lot more testing to
- 17:14see if it actually could be a bigfoot you know
- 17:16yeah yeah i i just yeah but yeah so yes but yeah
- 17:21so the the whistling thing with bigfoot and like
- 17:24whistling in the woods it's like i don't I don't
- 17:29know what to think of it. I want to go Bigfoot
- 17:34hunting and go to like the number one place that
- 17:37Bigfoot is seen in Michigan. We set up a camp
- 17:40all night and we just whistle nonstop and hit
- 17:43wood and see if we can attract Bigfoot. Or do
- 17:47you think it can also attract Dogman as well?
- 17:50I wonder if that would work for Dogman. I guess
- 17:53throw a dart at any random paranormal thing and
- 17:57if you whistle it knows how to whistle back i
- 18:00know i just think it's so fun to do like let's
- 18:02go like legit camping in the middle of the woods
- 18:05where no one will hear a scream and like try
- 18:07to get bigfoot to come out or dog see see my
- 18:10i i have gone bigfoot hunting with ben before
- 18:14but my my hesitancy with like bigfoot hunting
- 18:18or even dog man hunting is like if these creatures
- 18:22actually exist and you do find one What do you
- 18:29do? And you are in its vicinity. You're not getting
- 18:31out of there. I think, yeah, this is a dumber
- 18:34idea than whistling to a demon. Like, like, yeah,
- 18:37she needs cemetery. We're saying, like, we're
- 18:40weary of whistling because then. inhuman ancient
- 18:42elemental might come up you know this is a dumber
- 18:46idea you're talking about i mean it's cartoonish
- 18:49to me to think about bigfoot standing there on
- 18:52a tree whistling yeah avoiding all detection
- 18:55but seriously like a dog man or any cryptid just
- 18:58whistling definitely be more scared of dog man
- 19:01than um than bigfoot for sure have you guys heard
- 19:05that audio of that guy in the woods like driving
- 19:09his truck and dog man like It was like a 911
- 19:12call. Yeah. You heard of that? That's a whack
- 19:16phone call right there. We heard of the MSU Paranormal
- 19:21one time. We did. Is that real? Sorry, I'm off
- 19:26-tracking, but I didn't really want to know if
- 19:28it was real. I don't know. On the side of caution,
- 19:33I would say no, but also I have no idea. Well,
- 19:37if it's not real, like... Are you asking is it
- 19:41a dog man? Probably not, but you have to assume
- 19:44that could be an animal, so why would you go
- 19:46there and try to taunt that potentially real
- 19:48animal to come see your camp? I don't know, just
- 19:53to figure out if they're real. Isn't that the
- 19:56point of doing any of this? I don't, again, going
- 19:59back to not every mystery needs to be solved,
- 20:01I don't want to or care to be the person that
- 20:06proves if dog man is real or not. That's so fair.
- 20:09It's like, let someone else that has no sense
- 20:11of self -purpose in life go out and do that.
- 20:14Instead of camping, we could find a cabin that's
- 20:17in the middle of the woods so we have an actual
- 20:19building to protect ourselves. But I've seen
- 20:21cabin in the woods. God. Also, like, if Dogman
- 20:30really wanted to get into a cabin or Bigfoot,
- 20:34they would. You're not going to stop them. That
- 20:38is true. They're probably very strong. I mean,
- 20:42have you seen Bigfoot kicking down doors? He's
- 20:44got those big ass feet. How did the conversation
- 20:46devolve from whistling to this? What do you mean
- 20:49devolve? Evolve. No, drop that D. Okay, so speaking
- 20:56of cartoonish Bigfoot scenarios, imagine Bigfoot
- 20:59walking up, seeing a cabin, and just like tapping
- 21:01his toe on the door and just crumbles and falls
- 21:03down because he has such big feet. That's crazy.
- 21:10And then they look at him in panic and they're
- 21:13like, oh, Bigfoot! But then he just whistles
- 21:14and runs away. He whistles to attract his other
- 21:18Bigfoot friends in the area. He just whistles
- 21:21a little tune like Brianna. He whistles a Yankee
- 21:25Doodle. What is it? Yankee Doodly Doo? What's
- 21:29that song? You added too many syllables. It's
- 21:33just Yankee Doodle. But also, that's not a tune
- 21:37that I usually whistle, so... It sounds like
- 21:40we... Well, me and Bree sound like we are in
- 21:46sync here. And what are you saying about me?
- 21:51Well, it sounds like you... How I'm not in sync?
- 21:54I mean, I'm not saying that's bad. I think it's
- 21:56good. I don't think any of us are in sync with
- 21:58the boy band. No. I'm just saying Angela's like
- 22:04all gung -ho. She's like, let's whistle to demons.
- 22:09Let's whistle to Dogman. Let's whistle to Bigfoot.
- 22:13I just want to whistle all night and see who
- 22:15comes to say hi. No care in the world. She just
- 22:20loves whistling. That'd be so fun. And imagine
- 22:23if you survived the night, the stories you'd
- 22:28be able to tell. If you survive the night, if
- 22:30you survive the night. If we survive the night.
- 22:36Here's the difference between me and Bree and
- 22:38you, Ange. I'm not going alone, okay? Well, you
- 22:43probably will be, because we don't, me and Bree,
- 22:46we don't go on ghost hunts. We're on the invitation
- 22:48that says, yeah, so we're going to do this, this,
- 22:50and this, and then if we make it out alive...
- 22:55We'll talk about it on the devolving podcast
- 22:58next week. We don't like that if we make it out
- 23:02alive. So, when we make it out alive, which is
- 23:07a 100 % fact that we will. Yes. Is that better?
- 23:14There's a lot of... Manifest that the survival
- 23:17will happen. I feel like I need to talk to my
- 23:20attorney before I agree to any of this. Not your
- 23:23HR manager? No, she bumped it. I talked to my
- 23:28HR manager. She said, there's a lot of strings
- 23:31attached and it's getting kind of tricky, so
- 23:34we need to bump it up to legal management. Yeah.
- 23:39Yeah, I did say those exact words, didn't I?
- 23:43Yeah. Hey, legal team, what's up? This bitch
- 23:48wanted to whistle in the woods. Yeah, that's
- 23:51a little risky, eh? We can't let you do that.
- 23:59Oh gosh. Sorry, I'm making notes about what we
- 24:07should and should not do. You need to make actual
- 24:13notes? What did you write verbatim? I'm curious
- 24:19about the whistling. I'm writing nothing for
- 24:22vibratum, but I'm just going to say one of the
- 24:27things is that we're going to go out camping
- 24:29in the middle of the woods or rent a cabin and
- 24:32we're going to whistle all night. We'll hire
- 24:34a professional whistle. Where did you write that?
- 24:37In the do or do not part of it. The do part of
- 24:41it. So what's the do not part? Oh, I didn't get
- 24:45anything yet for that. No, no, do not part. It's
- 24:50don't whistle for Dogman. That's the do not part.
- 24:56I don't think you can differentiate your whistles,
- 24:58Angela. Well... What are you gonna do, like,
- 25:03whistle one way for Bigfoot and whistle like
- 25:06you're calling a dog for Dogman? Like, come here,
- 25:09Dogman! whistle once for yes twice for no are
- 25:13you dog man okay no but here's here's here's
- 25:18a theory do you know how people think like bigfoot
- 25:21is a like a spirit or maybe an alien or something
- 25:27or an alien like an interdimensional being yeah
- 25:30yeah so if that's the case to like don't you
- 25:35want shouldn't you have to like summon these
- 25:39creatures to get their attention. So if you're
- 25:42whistling specifically only for Bigfoot, shouldn't
- 25:46it only be Bigfoot that comes out? I mean, not
- 25:49necessarily, but like, isn't that like... So
- 25:53you're saying the intention behind the whistle
- 25:56means more than the actual whistle itself? Yes.
- 26:00Maybe. Maybe. I mean, I don't know. I'm not no
- 26:05expert in whistling in the woods. This is just
- 26:08a theory. It sounds too much like a ritual where
- 26:11I was saying that with rituals, one can argue
- 26:14that intention is more important than actual
- 26:17ritual. Because if you put all your intention
- 26:19into it, at that point, the ritual itself is
- 26:21just theater. And it sounds like if you intend
- 26:24to summon Bigfoot, whistling is just theatrics
- 26:27for your intention to find Bigfoot. Yeah, I guess.
- 26:32I don't know. I don't like that. I don't know.
- 26:35Now everyone's going to be scared to whistle.
- 26:39Because we're talking about whistling in the
- 26:40same way we're talking about rituals. Well, I
- 26:45mean, it kind of is. It could be like a ritual
- 26:48to a certain extent. Okay, but like... I do see
- 26:53the point. You get it, Brianna, right? I mean,
- 26:57this is just all talk, you know? i i don't know
- 27:02i don't know does this really count as a ritual
- 27:04maybe if you make it one but maybe not does the
- 27:08intention have a big part with the whistling
- 27:11possibly i bet it can but could it also attract
- 27:16anything in the area or whatever possibly yes
- 27:20too i don't know my thought is like what's the
- 27:23difference between because really if you're just
- 27:26talking about a universal sound that cuts through
- 27:29airwaves you know to attract things what's the
- 27:32difference between a whistle and a bell because
- 27:34we use bells in rituals remember we used a uh
- 27:38old uh altar bell uh that is in the shape of
- 27:43an owl when we filmed seven the mystery of jocks
- 27:46and when we rang it to mark the end of the ritual
- 27:48an owl actually hooted in response to us ringing
- 27:51an owl bell wow that was so cool So cool. I don't
- 27:57know. Can you kind of view whistling in that
- 27:59way, too, of, like, that same purpose? Maybe.
- 28:03It's kind of creepy if it is. I think if you
- 28:07think hard enough about it, you could. Mm -hmm.
- 28:11So the point is we should be weary about how
- 28:17and when we whistle in the woods at night. Yes.
- 28:21I agree to that statement. Angela's like, You
- 28:25guys didn't hear a single thing I said. No, we
- 28:27did. We did. We did. She's like, I'm still going
- 28:30to whistle in the woods at night. And that's
- 28:34okay. I'm reading it go across your forehead,
- 28:37Angela. That's okay. Just make sure you are safe
- 28:45enough in the process to be able to tell us how
- 28:48it went on our devolving podcast. It's going
- 28:51to be with you guys. I'm not going to go alone.
- 28:54And I can't just invite my non -paranormal friends
- 28:57or family because they're not going to fucking
- 28:59understand it. And then the shit's not going
- 29:01to work. You know, I need you guys there with
- 29:03me. That might be best, actually, because, you
- 29:08know, people that understand whistling are more
- 29:11likely to be chicken shits about whistling than
- 29:13people like you think your mom, if she goes out
- 29:17there and she's like, you want me to whistle?
- 29:19OK, you know, she'll just whistle. Yeah. Yeah.
- 29:26Yeah, she probably would, honestly. Maybe I should
- 29:29invite my mom out, okay? But if you think about
- 29:33it in that way, how many normal, regular, average
- 29:39Joe people whistle at night and nothing happens
- 29:42to them? True. The more you know, the more scared
- 29:46you're likely to be because you know the potential
- 29:48risks. We've had this conversation before where
- 29:53I don't remember which episode, but I know we
- 29:55talked about it where we think being scared as
- 30:01a big influence for the activity that happens
- 30:04around you, you know, like it causes energy.
- 30:07So if you're like really scared to whistle out
- 30:10in the woods and you whistle, okay, maybe that's
- 30:13going to. cause some activity to actually happen
- 30:15compared to a person who's not scared to do it
- 30:18who doesn't know these things about whistling
- 30:20and if they whistle out in the woods no nothing's
- 30:23gonna happen you know yeah come on to something
- 30:30so whistle in the woods don't whistle in the
- 30:33woods it's up to your decision uh what listen
- 30:38what i'm thinking so far is that it's really
- 30:42up to the per an individual if they whistle and
- 30:45if anything really actually happens yeah i mean
- 30:49that's the thing with i mean also in the parent
- 30:52we're never telling people to or not to do anything
- 30:55like you're your own humans do whatever you want
- 30:59to do um even the three of us have varying uh
- 31:03uh opinions on pretty much every topic so you
- 31:08know it's not surprising that we all Don't really
- 31:11know where to land with a, you know, should you
- 31:14or should you not whistle? But it does sound
- 31:16like there's a potential to interact with something
- 31:23you might not know you're interacting with. If
- 31:26that's any more or less of a risk than any other
- 31:30paranormal device or methodology, I don't know.
- 31:34But, you know, certain people in certain situations
- 31:38could. conjure or summon or invite something
- 31:42to interact if they do a whistle. I don't know,
- 31:46is that broad enough to encompass everyone's
- 31:48opinions? I feel like it. Yeah. Man, I want guests
- 31:53on this show to get other people's opinions,
- 31:56not just ours. Yeah, we'll start doing guests
- 31:59this year. It's 2026 now. Yeah. I finally got
- 32:04out of, it was February 2nd for, you know. A
- 32:08year there. And now that we're making progress
- 32:11forward, we have a movie out. It's no longer
- 32:14Groundhog's Day. I get to listen to new episodes
- 32:18and go on new adventures with you. Maybe we'll
- 32:21have a guest on soon. Yeah, I'm glad you were
- 32:23finally able to escape your time loop. Yes. For
- 32:29those that are unaware, Groundhog's Day was a
- 32:33movie where basically this guy... Don't do this
- 32:36again. Do not do this again. I will leave. Thanks
- 32:45for listening to this week's episode of Paranormal
- 32:47Lens. If you liked what you heard, every five
- 32:49-star rating and positive review tells the algorithms
- 32:52we're a worthy podcast and pushes us out to more
- 32:55listeners. We appreciate each and every one of
- 32:58you, and we'll see you next Thursday for another
- 33:01paranormal deep dive.
