- 0:00Speaker 1: Fall Start Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:03Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn. Let's go, Let's go from a championship
- 0:07Speaker 1: backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hen'sday, Hester and Hester got it far bt A.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Far You're locked in to Off the Bench, Descrip Control
- 0:17Speaker 3: the Live from downtown Baton Rouge. Here's Jacob Hesser and
- 0:24Speaker 3: Matt Flynn.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Yo. Welcome, Oh TB Monday, Monday, Monday, Florida, You suck
- 0:50Speaker 4: you sick three?
- 0:53Speaker 2: And oh.
- 0:55Speaker 5: What is going on? Jake Flynn, Elijah Taita all here
- 0:59Speaker 5: with you. LSU is three and no, as Matthew told
- 1:04Speaker 5: you there.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Florida, Florida yet again can't figure out how to beat
- 1:09Speaker 4: the LSU Tigers. You know, before we get the pledget
- 1:15Speaker 4: trees and see how everybody did this weekend. Like Florida
- 1:22Speaker 4: is so fake tough and they always have been and
- 1:26Speaker 4: they'll continue to be so. And it is so funny
- 1:30Speaker 4: to me that they use all of their energy before
- 1:35Speaker 4: the game and in victory formation. That's when they like to, Hey,
- 1:40Speaker 4: how about you use some of that during the game.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Maybe you want to be better, Maybe you won't lose
- 1:45Speaker 4: seven of your last nine against LSU, like front runners. Hey, pregame,
- 1:51Speaker 4: we're gonna be real loud, we're gonna be real tough,
- 1:53Speaker 4: we're gonna run through your warm up, and we're gonna
- 1:56Speaker 4: try to fight you before the game. Then during the
- 1:58Speaker 4: game it's like you disappear and you tap out. And
- 2:01Speaker 4: then during victory formation, when we're like, okay, game's over,
- 2:04Speaker 4: we beat you, then you want to act tough again,
- 2:07Speaker 4: and then you want to have all that energy again.
- 2:09Speaker 5: It's funny how that works. From Florida.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Doesn't matter who the players are, doesn't really matter the year. Hell,
- 2:14Speaker 4: it doesn't really matter the coach either. That's just who
- 2:17Speaker 4: they are. Yeah, it's their culture, and their culture is awful.
- 2:20Speaker 4: And I think we can all agree on that Florida
- 2:23Speaker 4: is the worst college.
- 2:25Speaker 5: In the whole world. And I'm glad we beat them.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I don't care how it looked, Honestly, I have no
- 2:30Speaker 6: I don't care how the game looked, what your opinion
- 2:33Speaker 6: of the game was. We won the game, We beat them.
- 2:39Speaker 6: They got a loss, they got Add one to their
- 2:41Speaker 6: lost column, add one to our win column. And they
- 2:44Speaker 6: are front runners. They always have been. And that's why
- 2:47Speaker 6: we don't like them. That's why we want to play
- 2:50Speaker 6: them every single year. Yeah, and I hope it doesn't
- 2:53Speaker 6: go away, because it go away. It's so good. But
- 2:55Speaker 6: like it is, I love that their front runners because
- 2:57Speaker 6: it makes.
- 2:57Speaker 5: It so good. Oh, it makes it even better. It's
- 2:59Speaker 5: like the play the villain perfectly.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Like okay, like you want to have your little scuffle
- 3:03Speaker 4: over there by the side of the line your former play. Okay,
- 3:06Speaker 4: that's that's one thing. Like what in the hell did
- 3:08Speaker 4: you think was going to happen? When you run through
- 3:12Speaker 4: LSU's warm up, you're on their sideline, you go in
- 3:16Speaker 4: front of their student section, and then like the coaches.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Are like, oh, what's going on? What are we doing?
- 3:22Speaker 5: I told one of them, I said, well, what do
- 3:24Speaker 5: you think was gonna happen? My guy? Yeah? Did you
- 3:26Speaker 5: think like this was gonna go well? Or do you
- 3:28Speaker 5: not think it out?
- 3:29Speaker 4: Or were you trying to try to intimidate Now he's
- 3:33Speaker 4: air quotes, because you didn't intimidate anybody and try to
- 3:36Speaker 4: be a tough guy before the game.
- 3:38Speaker 6: No, what you trying to do in a situation like
- 3:40Speaker 6: that is pick a fight for once. Like William Wallace
- 3:45Speaker 6: going out to his first fight in Brave Heart, He's
- 3:47Speaker 6: going to pick a fight. They you go out there
- 3:50Speaker 6: to pick a fight, and then maybe the best thing
- 3:52Speaker 6: that could happen is you do something so egregious, which
- 3:56Speaker 6: is the run in the middle of somebody's warm up.
- 3:57Speaker 5: That's you see it all the time.
- 3:58Speaker 6: You see that happening pre game people, little little gamesmanship,
- 4:03Speaker 6: little cat and mouse game. But the best thing that
- 4:05Speaker 6: could happen is you do something so agree just the
- 4:07Speaker 6: other team throws a punch at you and then they
- 4:09Speaker 6: get suspended for the game.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Right, hey, kicked out? So that's maybe maybe that's nope.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Now in college football, they wait until you tackle somebody
- 4:15Speaker 4: to kick you out.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Of the game.
- 4:17Speaker 6: Let's can we get that into that like later, I
- 4:20Speaker 6: don't want to start out like so mad. Let's celebrate.
- 4:24Speaker 6: Let's celebrate. Let's walk on their graves a little bit.
- 4:28Speaker 6: Print the new shirts out. Let's say three and.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Oh, I think the message is still gonna stay like
- 4:33Speaker 4: one to no though, you know, yeah no, but we're
- 4:36Speaker 4: literally three and oh, literally yes for sure, you could
- 4:40Speaker 4: you could do that, uh and yeah, certainly think you're
- 4:44Speaker 4: laundra certainly throughout the day we look, we'll tell you
- 4:48Speaker 4: what we thought about the game and what we thought
- 4:49Speaker 4: about the offense and what we thought about the defense
- 4:52Speaker 4: continuing to just.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Kick ass all day. Every day.
- 4:56Speaker 4: We'll tell you about how many people stepped up because
- 4:59Speaker 4: your captain went out of the game after a couple
- 5:01Speaker 4: of plays on defense. All of that we will get
- 5:03Speaker 4: to like all of that, the good and the bad. Well,
- 5:07Speaker 4: I would even say bad again. You want an sec game,
- 5:09Speaker 4: the things that have to continue to get better, not
- 5:12Speaker 4: bad ugly.
- 5:13Speaker 5: What's gonna say? Okay, exactly, bad.
- 5:17Speaker 6: Execution, a little bit here and there, it's okay, guess what,
- 5:21Speaker 6: there's game three, a lot of games left. We're not
- 5:25Speaker 6: gonna sit here and make excuses for some of that stuff.
- 5:27Speaker 6: And I think it's Tiger fans like we want perfection
- 5:29Speaker 6: because we've seen perfection from a lot of the same
- 5:33Speaker 6: guys on offense. The good lord, let's celebrate what a
- 5:38Speaker 6: performance our defense had from a guy that a quarterback
- 5:43Speaker 6: on the other side that is, you know, has the
- 5:46Speaker 6: potential to kind of go off and have big games
- 5:48Speaker 6: he did last year against us.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Well, we righted that wrong a little bit.
- 5:53Speaker 6: And defense flies around, creates confusion, creates excitement, creates energy,
- 5:58Speaker 6: and even with your best player, your leader, your vocal leader,
- 6:03Speaker 6: your energy leader out of the entire game because of
- 6:08Speaker 6: a BS.
- 6:13Speaker 5: I really want to say it, but it's before eight.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Hey, hey, Lars, hold on real quick, Hey Lars, in
- 6:19Speaker 4: the chat. What does a clown take your punishment like
- 6:21Speaker 4: a man? Lars, You've never been in a battle. You've
- 6:23Speaker 4: never been in a fight. You've never been in a
- 6:25Speaker 4: game like that. My guy, you work your ass off
- 6:28Speaker 4: all week long to get into the game like that.
- 6:31Speaker 4: You have a seal on your chest, so you're ready
- 6:34Speaker 4: to go. You're ready to lead the other ten guys
- 6:36Speaker 4: out onto the field. And because you're tackling somebody and
- 6:41Speaker 4: because his helmet moves down, look to the letter of
- 6:43Speaker 4: the law. We can have that conversation all we want.
- 6:45Speaker 4: I don't care what the letter or the law says.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Have give no, you know what's what it says.
- 6:51Speaker 5: I don't.
- 6:51Speaker 4: It's football, all right. I know how I played football.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I know how the guys sitting next to me played football.
- 6:56Speaker 4: And so yeah, it's emotional because you give a damn
- 6:58Speaker 4: because you put in your heart and soul into the
- 7:01Speaker 4: game plan to go out there and do all the
- 7:04Speaker 4: things it takes to be victorious and to lead your teammates,
- 7:07Speaker 4: and so he can act however he wants to, because
- 7:09Speaker 4: I'd been pissed too. I'd have been mad kicking me
- 7:12Speaker 4: out of that game? Are you kidding me? So you've
- 7:16Speaker 4: never been in that situation, Lars, And that's okay, And
- 7:18Speaker 4: I appreciate you tuning in and listening and doing all
- 7:20Speaker 4: that stuff. You can call me a clown. Two, that's fine.
- 7:23Speaker 4: I don't care. I don't care because you've never been
- 7:26Speaker 4: in that position. As far as like what the emotion,
- 7:30Speaker 4: I know I'm not talking about. You didn't play coss football,
- 7:32Speaker 4: high school football. If I got kid to have a
- 7:35Speaker 4: high school.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Game that meant a lot for that.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd be mad too. So you cannot like it,
- 7:41Speaker 4: and you can cost whatever that part. I don't care,
- 7:44Speaker 4: But I can understand why somebody would be very upset
- 7:47Speaker 4: for getting kicked out of that game. Yeah, what is soft? Yeah, Lars? Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 4: everybody says that about Whitweeks. You're right, You're right. Everybody
- 7:54Speaker 4: says that. Come on, what are you talking about? You
- 7:58Speaker 4: get as a college athlete every single year.
- 8:02Speaker 6: You work three hundred and sixty five days in the
- 8:06Speaker 6: entire year, focusing on twelve games potentially more, and then
- 8:14Speaker 6: your last year at LSU. You're an unspoken leader on
- 8:17Speaker 6: the defense, you're an All American, preseason All American, you
- 8:19Speaker 6: are one of the best linebackers in the country. And
- 8:24Speaker 6: you get five six opportunities a year to play in
- 8:27Speaker 6: front of your home crowd, even less than that against
- 8:31Speaker 6: a big time rival, a big time SEC opponent, and
- 8:34Speaker 6: you get kicked out early like that because of a
- 8:39Speaker 6: an effort play that had no malicious intent. Yeah, letter
- 8:44Speaker 6: of the law, whatever it is, I saw, But if
- 8:48Speaker 6: we go through the letter of the law, I saw
- 8:51Speaker 6: probably fifty people that game that should have been kicked
- 8:53Speaker 6: out for targeting. You could call it almost every play,
- 8:55Speaker 6: almost every tackle. You can call holding, every time, you
- 8:58Speaker 6: can call it legal content, you can call interference. It
- 9:01Speaker 6: is the intention of all these penalties that gets called
- 9:07Speaker 6: the intent to hurt somebody, not the intent to hustle
- 9:12Speaker 6: and get a man to the ground and try to
- 9:15Speaker 6: be legal that you get to he gets there and
- 9:19Speaker 6: he makes a tackle, his head hits his face mask.
- 9:23Speaker 6: If the intent is there, that is what is damaged
- 9:27Speaker 6: about this rule. That is what is damaged about how
- 9:29Speaker 6: they ref this and to take that away, to strip
- 9:33Speaker 6: that away from somebody one of the few opportunities that
- 9:36Speaker 6: you have as a senior, one of the few opportunities
- 9:39Speaker 6: that you have in a big game, a night game
- 9:42Speaker 6: in Tiger Stadium.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Yeah, you'll get so many of those in your entire career. Yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 4: are the ones that like we saw Saturday night.
- 9:50Speaker 6: Yep, And thank god the rule has changed to where
- 9:53Speaker 6: they don't have to go into the locker room because
- 9:56Speaker 6: he was still able to be a leader. You saw
- 9:59Speaker 6: Brian Kelly go up to him too and say, we
- 10:00Speaker 6: need you, we need you. You can still help. But man,
- 10:04Speaker 6: I can't imagine the emotions that I would be feeling
- 10:07Speaker 6: if that had happened to me. It was a clown
- 10:12Speaker 6: show of a call. I believe it's a clown show
- 10:17Speaker 6: of a rule.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like I don't even know, Like again, like
- 10:21Speaker 5: this isn't Oh, that wasn't targeting.
- 10:23Speaker 4: It was targeting. I'm not Hell, I don't even know anymore.
- 10:26Speaker 4: So I'm not even here to have that argument. So
- 10:28Speaker 4: I'm here to have with the intent of of what happened,
- 10:31Speaker 4: and for that to disqualify you from that entire football game.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Yeah, it's stupid. That's stupidity. Now, I didn't even want
- 10:42Speaker 5: to get pissed this early.
- 10:43Speaker 4: After Witt did get kicked out, he kind of, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 4: went to his brother.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Obviously.
- 10:49Speaker 4: I said this on the broadcast, like, hey, I'm gonna
- 10:51Speaker 4: need you to step up. I'm gonna need you to
- 10:53Speaker 4: go out there and hit a lot of people. And
- 10:55Speaker 4: west Weeks did say whose car are we taking? Yep,
- 10:58Speaker 4: that man stepped up and until he got hurt. And
- 11:01Speaker 4: then when he got hurt, here comes another Week's brother,
- 11:06Speaker 4: Like we ain't another one another one.
- 11:08Speaker 5: I like what Brian Kelly said up to the game
- 11:10Speaker 5: too in the interview.
- 11:11Speaker 6: He's like, yeah, I don't know if the third Weeks,
- 11:13Speaker 6: I don't know if he uh if he really knew
- 11:15Speaker 6: what he was doing out there, but he did it hard.
- 11:17Speaker 5: He played hard. Elandra points it out inside the chattoo.
- 11:21Speaker 4: De vine Keys did go off man, he's a he's
- 11:24Speaker 4: a great player a year ago like this is just
- 11:27Speaker 4: a really talented linebacker room. And you know, thankfully so
- 11:30Speaker 4: because you can miss a wit Weeks in a game
- 11:32Speaker 4: like this and still be highly productive. West Weeks devine
- 11:36Speaker 4: Key's both had double digit tackles. They went out there
- 11:39Speaker 4: and they played incredible, They played really well, They played tough,
- 11:42Speaker 4: They played physical, so uh that was good to see
- 11:45Speaker 4: as well. Uh, before we get too angry down the road, here, Elandra,
- 11:50Speaker 4: how we.
- 11:50Speaker 7: Doing doing great? I had a good weekend. I mean
- 11:55Speaker 7: we're three and zero. I know people have complaints and
- 11:59Speaker 7: stuff like that, and sure there's some stuff that could
- 12:01Speaker 7: maybe be improved on, but we're three and oh, so
- 12:04Speaker 7: I feel great. And then the schedule we have Southeastern
- 12:08Speaker 7: next week and then at Ole Miss, so it's looking
- 12:12Speaker 7: pretty favorable to be undefeated in the middle of the season.
- 12:16Speaker 5: And it does.
- 12:19Speaker 4: That's so like it feels it's been a while.
- 12:22Speaker 5: It has been a long time. You can feel that energy.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Like I'm still thinking about the fact that we finally
- 12:28Speaker 5: want to open. It's a big deal. It's a big
- 12:31Speaker 5: step for us. I was emotionally damage for like years.
- 12:34Speaker 6: Sure, yeah, and yes, you should celebrate the fact that
- 12:39Speaker 6: we're three.
- 12:39Speaker 5: No, because winning in the SEC is hard.
- 12:41Speaker 8: It is hard.
- 12:41Speaker 6: I don't care how and I don't care how a
- 12:43Speaker 6: team looked the week before. Yeah, I don't care, Like what, Like,
- 12:47Speaker 6: there's still SEC football players. They're still an SEC team,
- 12:49Speaker 6: and like, look, both teams are college football teams. They're
- 12:54Speaker 6: not NFL teams out there, So like, well, I think
- 12:58Speaker 6: I think as LSU fans, like we have these expectations
- 13:01Speaker 6: that it's going to be twenty nineteen every single year, right,
- 13:06Speaker 6: really great on both sides of the ball. We got
- 13:07Speaker 6: NFL players all over the play. This is college football.
- 13:10Speaker 6: It's not it's it's Jake said it last week. It's
- 13:13Speaker 6: the perfect imperfections about it. Like it's not going to
- 13:17Speaker 6: look great every single week. There's things that these guys,
- 13:19Speaker 6: these kids are still learning how to play big time
- 13:22Speaker 6: football here and there. Like, you get the win, you celebrate.
- 13:26Speaker 6: Life's too short not to celebrate the victories. You only
- 13:28Speaker 6: get so many opportunities every single season to go out there.
- 13:30Speaker 6: You only get one against Florida and you beat.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Them, and we don't know what that series is going
- 13:37Speaker 5: to look like.
- 13:37Speaker 7: Now.
- 13:39Speaker 5: I hope they do too.
- 13:41Speaker 4: I Mean, I'm sitting there and there was a league
- 13:43Speaker 4: official Wandre Knows I'm talking about that was at the game,
- 13:45Speaker 4: and I'm like, hey, you see this, y'all want to
- 13:47Speaker 4: get rid of this, right, ain't no way.
- 13:51Speaker 7: He's well, Okay, what I was gonna say is, I
- 13:55Speaker 7: don't know if you ended up going mat but it
- 13:58Speaker 7: was electric inside Tiger State on Saturday. Like it was
- 14:01Speaker 7: the loudest I've heard it be in a while.
- 14:04Speaker 5: I don't know if what was the chance they were
- 14:06Speaker 5: doing it? Sucks to be a Florida Gator.
- 14:08Speaker 7: Yeah it was awesome. So this was electric?
- 14:12Speaker 5: Can I tell you something? Oh? No?
- 14:15Speaker 7: Oh? Also, they understood the Gold Game assignment.
- 14:18Speaker 5: They did. I didn't, but they did.
- 14:19Speaker 7: Yeah, I did it either.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Well, so did I know?
- 14:21Speaker 4: I told everybody for all, like the whole week case
- 14:23Speaker 4: the Gold Game at wore purple because I forgot.
- 14:29Speaker 5: I forgot, I forgot not a fox old guy. Well
- 14:33Speaker 5: you know, luckily I was in the boot, so you
- 14:34Speaker 5: wouldn't have seen me anyway.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Sure, okay, so our situation happened my youngest, no, my
- 14:42Speaker 6: oldest who I was taking to the game. I wouldn't
- 14:45Speaker 6: take them all because I didn't have that many tickets. Yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 6: I was just gonna take so my second she was
- 14:51Speaker 6: gonna come with me. But the night before they had
- 14:53Speaker 6: gone to the Zombies movie concert in New Orleans. I
- 14:58Speaker 6: don't know if anybody's ever seen or heard of the
- 14:59Speaker 6: zom Bombies.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Movie the Smoothie King.
- 15:01Speaker 6: It was at the Smoothe King Center. It's like a
- 15:03Speaker 6: musical type movie because we were at the Supernome for
- 15:06Speaker 6: Jackson's game. Okay, yeah, so she was she was up
- 15:10Speaker 6: late on Friday, so she didn't want to go, so
- 15:14Speaker 6: she wasn't going to go. So it was just me
- 15:15Speaker 6: and my oldest and he got a fever Saturday morning.
- 15:18Speaker 6: No yeah, now of course, like and so lives out
- 15:24Speaker 6: of town, so we had like a babysitter lined up
- 15:25Speaker 6: for she come over, we go to the game. So
- 15:27Speaker 6: of course he gets feeling better before the games, like
- 15:29Speaker 6: I want to go, And I was like, it doesn't
- 15:30Speaker 6: really work that way, but I've already canceled the babysitter.
- 15:33Speaker 6: You can't really like uncancel it at this point. So
- 15:36Speaker 6: we watched it at the house. We watched the house.
- 15:38Speaker 6: It was fun, still great. I enjoy That's how I
- 15:40Speaker 6: enjoyed taking the game in. But I would have liked
- 15:42Speaker 6: to fill that electricity for this game.
- 15:44Speaker 7: It was electric.
- 15:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, I saw, I saw and can a
- 15:50Speaker 6: shout out to the student section? Can they make a
- 15:52Speaker 6: chant out of any song?
- 15:53Speaker 5: Right? Yeah? They can? Yeah? They I mean they were great.
- 15:56Speaker 5: They stayed. You might as well. They were there early
- 15:59Speaker 5: in the stadium too. You might as well bring neck
- 16:01Speaker 5: back like.
- 16:03Speaker 6: That. Point they're gonna do it, was right.
- 16:09Speaker 4: That's all right, my guy. Look, this is first time.
- 16:13Speaker 4: He just assumed, probably because they were chanting. He's like, no, no, no, actually,
- 16:16Speaker 4: they're going to do that no matter what songs.
- 16:18Speaker 7: Yeah, it doesn't matter what song it is.
- 16:21Speaker 5: At this point, I'm surprised they don't do it during
- 16:22Speaker 5: the next.
- 16:23Speaker 4: You can play, you can play fly Me to the Moon,
- 16:27Speaker 4: and they're going to fight away.
- 16:29Speaker 6: They're gonna stick in there and it's gonna fill organic
- 16:31Speaker 6: and they're all gonna be ready for it. Yes, that's
- 16:33Speaker 6: the thing. Do they practice this in I don't know,
- 16:36Speaker 6: in the quad? Were they practicing this? I don't know,
- 16:39Speaker 6: but they do, and they're all ready for it. It
- 16:44Speaker 6: does probably lead to a lot of uncomfortable conversations between
- 16:48Speaker 6: parents and child.
- 16:49Speaker 7: Probably.
- 16:50Speaker 5: I remember.
- 16:53Speaker 6: My kids were asking about it, but I like distracted
- 16:55Speaker 6: them the keys or something. I don't remember, but hey,
- 16:58Speaker 6: you want Hey, here's I don't even know what they're saying.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Kids.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I got older kids. They're like, oh, that's what
- 17:07Speaker 4: they're saying. Keys don't work on them. Old divs work
- 17:15Speaker 4: for that always. There's no question about that. Uh okay,
- 17:18Speaker 4: So we do have obviously a ton to get to
- 17:22Speaker 4: break down the game stats from the game compared to
- 17:25Speaker 4: last year's game. Uh, but overall theme, the LSU Tigers
- 17:29Speaker 4: are three. And oh of course we'll talk New Orleans
- 17:32Speaker 4: Saints as well today as they look, they put up
- 17:34Speaker 4: another fight and they fall just short yet again. So
- 17:37Speaker 4: we have a ton to get to here on this
- 17:39Speaker 4: Monday morning edition of OTB Off the Bench. All right,

- 19:19Speaker 1: From Players to Legends, Hester and Flynn breakdown LSU football
- 19:23Speaker 1: like only champions can.
- 19:31Speaker 4: All right, welcome back here in OTV one O four
- 19:34Speaker 4: five ESPN, Ben Ruth. Take a look at this team
- 19:43Speaker 4: stats for this twenty to ten victory for LSU. It
- 19:49Speaker 4: kind of mirrors what last year's game was a little
- 19:51Speaker 4: bit right. Florida's got twenty three first downs, you have ten.
- 19:56Speaker 4: You look back on third down efficiency, now they were
- 19:59Speaker 4: six to seventeen, you were four or fourteen. But they
- 20:01Speaker 4: had more total yards. Remember we told you the tale
- 20:03Speaker 4: of the tape from last year's game, where you had
- 20:07Speaker 4: more first downs, you had more total yards, You had
- 20:10Speaker 4: more yards through the year, like you were better on
- 20:13Speaker 4: third down than they were a year ago. Well, now
- 20:15Speaker 4: you kind of flip it there, and so the tail
- 20:19Speaker 4: of tape maybe doesn't tell the story of the game.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Now they held the football for thirty seven minutes in
- 20:25Speaker 4: this contest as well. Now you both had seven penalties,
- 20:28Speaker 4: But it's going to be the turnovers, obviously, that are
- 20:31Speaker 4: the story of the game. Just like last year it
- 20:33Speaker 4: was the sacks that Florida had that was the story
- 20:36Speaker 4: of the game. And so these I mean, look, the
- 20:38Speaker 4: box scores kind of mirror each other. Last year you
- 20:41Speaker 4: had a lot of success, you outgained them, ye held
- 20:43Speaker 4: the ball longer, but you couldn't protect the quarterback. Well
- 20:46Speaker 4: this year, I mean right, they kind of do the
- 20:48Speaker 4: same to you, but they couldn't protect the football. And
- 20:51Speaker 4: so this defense creates five turnovers, it's the story of
- 20:55Speaker 4: the game. It's the theme of the game. You took
- 20:58Speaker 4: one back to the house for a pick six. And
- 21:01Speaker 4: this defense, it continues to be highly impressive. It continues
- 21:06Speaker 4: to fly around, it continues to trick quarterbacks and like
- 21:11Speaker 4: some of those, you're gonna watch it and look, we
- 21:14Speaker 4: could into the last one. Djigway kind of throws it
- 21:16Speaker 4: up there, but lsu knew exactly what they were doing
- 21:19Speaker 4: in some of those coverage situations, and they baited DJ
- 21:22Speaker 4: Lagway into some of those throws.
- 21:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll tell you who didn't know what he was
- 21:25Speaker 5: doing with DJ Lagway.
- 21:28Speaker 6: I mean, good lord, like as a quarterback and as
- 21:32Speaker 6: much hate as I have for Florida, I was like, dude,
- 21:37Speaker 6: what is he doing like this? This is can you
- 21:41Speaker 6: not see the safeties? Don't I don't know what he
- 21:43Speaker 6: was looking at a lot? And I know LSU did
- 21:45Speaker 6: a really good job at Baden baiting him, disguising coverages,
- 21:49Speaker 6: creating confusion.
- 21:50Speaker 5: And we've done that all season.
- 21:51Speaker 6: We did at Week one against Kate Clubby, We've done
- 21:53Speaker 6: at Week three now against Dj Lagway, two of the
- 21:56Speaker 6: top pre season ranked quarterbacks going in. We have created confusion.
- 22:00Speaker 6: We've created chaos, and maybe not so much. It was
- 22:04Speaker 6: a different type of chaos this week than it was
- 22:06Speaker 6: against Clemson. Clemson was you know, all gas, no breaks
- 22:09Speaker 6: of pressures. We're bringing so many different types of pressures.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Now you lose wit early in the game, so it
- 22:14Speaker 6: kind of changes a lot of some of the things
- 22:15Speaker 6: that you can do or you're comfortable doing, because with
- 22:19Speaker 6: you know, he just he's been there the starters can
- 22:21Speaker 6: make up for when you when you create pressure.
- 22:24Speaker 5: We talked about this last week.
- 22:25Speaker 6: When you create pressure and chaos from one side, you
- 22:27Speaker 6: have to have people that are smart enough and comfortable
- 22:30Speaker 6: enough and experience enough to like cover ground because where
- 22:33Speaker 6: you create strengths on one side of the ball, you
- 22:35Speaker 6: create a weakness somewhere else. So you have to have
- 22:36Speaker 6: those kind of experienced guys to fill in those voids
- 22:39Speaker 6: and make those weaknesses. Last week, I guess if you will,
- 22:44Speaker 6: But they created chaos just flying around. Our dbs are
- 22:48Speaker 6: can play, can play their role in a coverage by
- 22:53Speaker 6: making it look like a different coverage. So if if
- 22:57Speaker 6: you're a safety or a corner and you have like
- 22:59Speaker 6: a cloud coverage is a corner and you have the
- 23:02Speaker 6: and the have safety over the top, safety playing over
- 23:06Speaker 6: the top of a cloud corner like, they can make
- 23:09Speaker 6: it look like quarters and then at the last second
- 23:12Speaker 6: go play their responsibility. Yeah, and it creates confusion. It's
- 23:16Speaker 6: just it's fun to see. But at the end of
- 23:19Speaker 6: the day, we did benefit from some very poor quarterback decisions.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean the one did DJ pick it? He
- 23:24Speaker 4: just he's throwing it up for sure, Like the AJ Halsey.
- 23:27Speaker 4: He was shot out of a cannon before half when
- 23:30Speaker 4: he picked that one off. I mean that was like
- 23:32Speaker 4: he was like waiting, like I bet you want throw it.
- 23:35Speaker 5: I bet you all know it. That guy's fun to watch.
- 23:37Speaker 5: He is fun to watch. He throw the whole, the whole,
- 23:40Speaker 5: like the whole, secondary, the whole. Like let's just.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Turn you know, some of this into just a waxing
- 23:47Speaker 4: poetic about the defense. I mean, Alandra pointed out, like
- 23:50Speaker 4: Devine Keys comes in there, he has fourteen tackles, didn't
- 23:54Speaker 4: start the game, but he comes in, he has fourteen tackles,
- 23:58Speaker 4: has half a sack in a TfL West Weeks he
- 24:02Speaker 4: started the game, but obviously he had to step up.
- 24:05Speaker 5: He goes to the green dot.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Now when his brother gets kicked out and he has
- 24:10Speaker 4: twelve tackles in a TfL to Marcus Cooley. Right, he
- 24:14Speaker 4: not the biggest guy in the world, but I'd be
- 24:16Speaker 4: damned if every time in the open field he doesn't
- 24:18Speaker 4: get the guy down. Doesn't matter if it's a tight end,
- 24:20Speaker 4: a receiver or a back. Aj Hawsey playing at a
- 24:24Speaker 4: different speed. Right, make sure that he you know, his
- 24:27Speaker 4: presence is felt every time he hits you.
- 24:30Speaker 5: As well.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Perkins did another great job of spying the quarterback. Anytime
- 24:35Speaker 4: that DJ Lagway thought that he had the edge, here
- 24:37Speaker 4: comes number seven, monsour de Layne. What Matt's talking about,
- 24:42Speaker 4: Like you can do all these creative things because it's like, okay,
- 24:46Speaker 4: well four is gonna have his guy. We're good there,
- 24:49Speaker 4: and you don't worry about it, and you call the
- 24:50Speaker 4: blitz and you call the pressure and we could just
- 24:53Speaker 4: PJ Woodland's playing incredible.
- 24:55Speaker 5: We could go on and on.
- 24:56Speaker 4: We could go down the list of defensive guys, but
- 24:59Speaker 4: the main point is everybody's not only doing their job,
- 25:03Speaker 4: they're doing the job that helps everybody else out the
- 25:05Speaker 4: other ten guys. So like if somebody goes down, you
- 25:08Speaker 4: step up. If somebody's pressuring, I've got you, Like I'm
- 25:11Speaker 4: gonna handle the back end back here.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Like it is total complete team defense. Yeah, and.
- 25:20Speaker 6: It shows up in the stats when you can play
- 25:23Speaker 6: team defense like that, and we can. It's hard when
- 25:27Speaker 6: we're not watching film to kind of tell you about
- 25:29Speaker 6: like how good that secondary is playing and how what
- 25:32Speaker 6: kind of chemistry they're playing with. But when you see
- 25:35Speaker 6: a safety come out of nowhere, hey, it's step in
- 25:38Speaker 6: front of a pass. That means they are dissecting what
- 25:43Speaker 6: the offense is doing. They are understanding the route concept.
- 25:47Speaker 6: They are understanding he didn't just come from nowhere. He
- 25:51Speaker 6: had a responsibility on one part of the field, but
- 25:54Speaker 6: he understood, based on the route concept that his responsibility
- 25:57Speaker 6: he wasn't needed her if like on the you're looking
- 26:01Speaker 6: at the ball, Okay, left side is taken care of,
- 26:06Speaker 6: so I can go and help poach the right side
- 26:09Speaker 6: of the ball. And they just understood the route concepts.
- 26:12Speaker 6: You could tell they were ultimately ready. They had watched
- 26:14Speaker 6: a lot of film. They knew what Florida would try
- 26:16Speaker 6: to do to them, and when you get opportunities, they
- 26:20Speaker 6: made the play. I mean, how many times do you
- 26:21Speaker 6: go into games and you have opportunities to intercept the
- 26:23Speaker 6: ball and it's dropped or two defenders run into each
- 26:26Speaker 6: other and you just don't get it. They took advantage
- 26:28Speaker 6: of every single opportunity, and it was the difference in
- 26:32Speaker 6: the game because you know, it wasn't the most explosive
- 26:35Speaker 6: offensive performance we've had, but the defense stepped up, so
- 26:39Speaker 6: it was a complete team win in that aspect.
- 26:44Speaker 5: It was a lot of fun to watch.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I mean, just multiple defensive performances that stood out I
- 26:50Speaker 4: think to everybody. I mean, no matter who you are,
- 26:52Speaker 4: where you're watching, you certainly can appreciate what the linebackers
- 26:56Speaker 4: did stepping up when you lose your captain, what the
- 26:59Speaker 4: defensive backs can take need to do.
- 27:01Speaker 5: I thought you had great pressure on TJ. Lagway as well.
- 27:04Speaker 4: So a lot of great things when it comes to
- 27:07Speaker 4: this LSU defense. Now, when we come back, let's talk
- 27:10Speaker 4: about the LSU offense. Obviously, there's things that you want
- 27:14Speaker 4: to see. There's things that LSU wants to get cleaned up, and.
- 27:20Speaker 5: They're gonna have to. They're gonna have to.
- 27:22Speaker 4: There's also a thing that he did to close out
- 27:24Speaker 4: the football game that I would love to see more of,
- 27:26Speaker 4: and not just because of who I am and.
- 27:28Speaker 5: What position I play, but oh my god, can we
- 27:32Speaker 5: see more of that?
- 27:33Speaker 4: And we'll show the play and what we're talking about
- 27:34Speaker 4: when we come back here on OTV. Off the bench,
- 27:39Speaker 4: all right, go to gcop net dot com. Gc op

- 29:57Speaker 5: All right, welcome back you and O TV here on
- 29:59Speaker 5: this Monday morning.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I think we actually figured out how to show
- 30:07Speaker 4: tape and connect to Flint's computer.
- 30:12Speaker 5: I think. Did I think it would ever happen?
- 30:14Speaker 4: I didn't Week three. I had hope, I had dreams,
- 30:18Speaker 4: but I didn't have a belief. Now I got belief.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Uh So, Matthew, what are we going to show the people?
- 30:25Speaker 5: Good question? At solid question? Kah, because we're trying to
- 30:32Speaker 5: get it loaded back up. Now, That's why I asked
- 30:34Speaker 5: a question. Well, we had talked about.
- 30:39Speaker 6: Hold on a second here, all right, So we had
- 30:43Speaker 6: talked about some going to break there something that you
- 30:47Speaker 6: really enjoyed from the game.
- 30:49Speaker 5: Yes, what was that?
- 30:50Speaker 2: It was?
- 30:51Speaker 6: It was like it was a it was like a
- 30:52Speaker 6: weird position out there. It's like I didn't even know
- 30:55Speaker 6: what to call this position. I don't know what he
- 30:57Speaker 6: really does, but it was like an offense. It was
- 31:01Speaker 6: like he was in between the quarterback and the running back. Yeah,
- 31:04Speaker 6: in the backfield, and the quarterback is underneath the center.
- 31:08Speaker 6: That was weird to see Garrett underneath the center taking
- 31:12Speaker 6: a football snap like Hey.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Look, if you're having trouble trying to establish the run,
- 31:19Speaker 4: and if you want to close the game out, because
- 31:23Speaker 4: that's what that drive was, you got to go close
- 31:25Speaker 4: the game out, right, It's got to be the alpha mentality. Well,
- 31:28Speaker 4: if you want to be an alpha, what do you do?
- 31:30Speaker 4: You bring a fullback into the game. That's how you
- 31:32Speaker 4: become an alpha. And you go get a meathead. And
- 31:35Speaker 4: Jack Pibron, who played fullback at Florida a little bit
- 31:37Speaker 4: as well, you bring him in. Anybody wearing number forty
- 31:41Speaker 4: four can play fullback and Jack Pibrin showed us that.
- 31:44Speaker 5: And that's how you close out the game, Matthew.
- 31:48Speaker 4: You run heavyset under center, hat on a hat and
- 31:52Speaker 4: allow your running back to go finish the game.
- 31:55Speaker 6: Yeah you do, Taylor, you got this clip or you
- 31:58Speaker 6: got the monitor. Yeah, so we're gonna show to you
- 32:01Speaker 6: right here. I almost I was trying to find this
- 32:03Speaker 6: play on the film and I almost get past this
- 32:05Speaker 6: play because it looked like victory formation.
- 32:08Speaker 5: It basically is victory formation in the game. Yeah, so
- 32:11Speaker 5: check this out.
- 32:11Speaker 6: We got everybody lined up right here, and I can
- 32:13Speaker 6: guarantee you one thing Florida did not work on this
- 32:15Speaker 6: look in practice this week. There's not a lot of
- 32:18Speaker 6: guarantees in life, but we're just going to show you
- 32:20Speaker 6: that how beautifully blocked this was. It looks so different
- 32:23Speaker 6: than lining up and four wide and running five man
- 32:26Speaker 6: zone concept that get you one yard.
- 32:29Speaker 5: Watch this beauty well, I mean it truly is like
- 32:33Speaker 5: for our radio listeners.
- 32:34Speaker 4: I mean it is a hat on a hat. It
- 32:36Speaker 4: is Jack Pybrin on a defensive back. Is Bower sharp
- 32:40Speaker 4: lined up? I mean he's a true fullback as well,
- 32:42Speaker 4: And it is just coming off the football with bad intentions,
- 32:47Speaker 4: being aggressive, right, and it is just following your lead
- 32:52Speaker 4: blockers and as a run like a somebody has done
- 32:54Speaker 4: both of these positions, right, Like you just get on
- 32:58Speaker 4: their hip and you play off their block and once
- 33:00Speaker 4: you get the edge, you hit the edge.
- 33:02Speaker 6: And so and look at the confusion that they have.
- 33:04Speaker 6: They don't know really what to do. Fifteen down here
- 33:07Speaker 6: and has to set the edge. It doesn't they have
- 33:09Speaker 6: twelve people in the field, like they have no idea
- 33:12Speaker 6: what to do because you just did something that was
- 33:14Speaker 6: non traditional. You haven't shown this and I don't know
- 33:17Speaker 6: fifteen years.
- 33:20Speaker 4: All right, I have been fifteen years, all right, Come on, Okay,
- 33:24Speaker 4: come on, and that's how you close out a game
- 33:26Speaker 4: and you end in victory formation.
- 33:29Speaker 5: So it was something we haven't seen. I love seeing it.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Appreciate a fullback being back inside of Tiger Stadium.
- 33:37Speaker 5: Certainly that was your biggest.
- 33:38Speaker 4: Run of the game, and you get Look, you got
- 33:41Speaker 4: to continue to find ways to run the football. We'll
- 33:44Speaker 4: continue to break it down it is. You know, it's
- 33:48Speaker 4: something where when you look up, all right, you're going
- 33:51Speaker 4: to have one hundred and twenty eight yards rushing. They
- 33:53Speaker 4: had one hundred and thirteen yards rushing, and look, you
- 33:57Speaker 4: can't take that fifty one yards away. And we are
- 34:00Speaker 4: gonna try to do it all day today. I understand that,
- 34:02Speaker 4: but it's still it's just got to be more consistent.
- 34:04Speaker 4: Like I'm not even looking at the total rushing yards.
- 34:07Speaker 4: It's got to be consistent first down runs, which early
- 34:11Speaker 4: in the game you were having some success. There was
- 34:13Speaker 4: a lot of second and five, second and four in
- 34:16Speaker 4: this game. But then on second and third down, like
- 34:18Speaker 4: that's where you didn't make Hay. There was a lot
- 34:21Speaker 4: of throws behind the line of scrimmage. There wasn't a
- 34:23Speaker 4: lot of pushing the ball down the field, and then
- 34:26Speaker 4: after starting out second and four, well, then it was
- 34:30Speaker 4: third and four, and then it was fourth and four.
- 34:33Speaker 6: RPOs are a tool, right, They're not an it's not
- 34:37Speaker 6: an offensive philosophy. It's an offensive tool. It's a tool
- 34:40Speaker 6: to use during the game that you sparadically use. What
- 34:44Speaker 6: I takeaways from like the game plan that I saw,
- 34:47Speaker 6: I didn't love. Now of course that they execute it though,
- 34:50Speaker 6: it's a whole different ballgame. But it's too many behind
- 34:54Speaker 6: the line of scrimmage RPOs. I'm gonna call them RPOs usually,
- 34:59Speaker 6: you know screens wide receiver wide receiver now routes with
- 35:04Speaker 6: the blocker out on the edge, and I get it,
- 35:06Speaker 6: Like a lot of times I watched the film yesterday,
- 35:08Speaker 6: I'm like, all right, well, this play was unsuccessful. Why
- 35:10Speaker 6: was it unsuccessful? What was the rules that the quarterback
- 35:13Speaker 6: was probably being taught? I don't know what exactly is
- 35:15Speaker 6: being taught in the building. But it's a numbers game,
- 35:19Speaker 6: you know, whereas we have wide receivers out, so there's
- 35:22Speaker 6: five people blocking for one running back. If six people
- 35:25Speaker 6: drop into the box, that is a numbers advantage to
- 35:29Speaker 6: the defense versus the versus the run. Right, you got
- 35:31Speaker 6: five people blocking for six guys. That's that's the numbers advantage.
- 35:36Speaker 6: So at that point you would look to throw the
- 35:39Speaker 6: behind the line of scrimmage screen if that's what it's
- 35:41Speaker 6: called like, that would be the point where you would
- 35:43Speaker 6: either check to a pass play or you would throw
- 35:45Speaker 6: the pass part of the run pass option. Right Florida
- 35:52Speaker 6: played defenses. They pressed the corners a lot, so it
- 35:55Speaker 6: makes it hard to throw RPOs behind the line of
- 35:57Speaker 6: scrimmage when they press corners. So that was their philosophy.
- 36:00Speaker 6: Create a numbers advantage in the box when the LSU
- 36:02Speaker 6: spreads it out, press the corners and it makes it
- 36:05Speaker 6: difficult to do those RPOs, So you have to have
- 36:07Speaker 6: another answer. Once you see that, you kind of have
- 36:09Speaker 6: to make the adjustment. Running game wise, what I saw
- 36:15Speaker 6: was when we are running our zones, like there was
- 36:18Speaker 6: some pretty decent things, decently blocked schemes throughout the game
- 36:23Speaker 6: except for like one guy here and there. But from
- 36:25Speaker 6: the majority of what I see is that there's a
- 36:30Speaker 6: hesitancy on the offensive line to get to the second
- 36:34Speaker 6: level when they're blocking.
- 36:36Speaker 5: They want to be there.
- 36:37Speaker 6: They're trying to be so perfect in helping the guy
- 36:40Speaker 6: next to them, and their assignment in Okay, if I'm
- 36:45Speaker 6: the center and I got my right guard, he's got
- 36:47Speaker 6: a three technique which is like a which is a
- 36:49Speaker 6: defensive tackle lined up on him, either head up or
- 36:52Speaker 6: on the guards outside shoulder.
- 36:54Speaker 5: He wants to go.
- 36:55Speaker 6: The center knows that he's got to help give leverage
- 36:58Speaker 6: to the guard before he works up to the mic
- 36:59Speaker 6: linebacker or the will linebacker. They're spending so much time
- 37:04Speaker 6: making sure that they're doing the help helping part, providing
- 37:09Speaker 6: like an extra arm, like they're they're spending so much
- 37:12Speaker 6: time that they're not getting to the second level fast enough,
- 37:15Speaker 6: which creates just a bunch of muck, which creates somewhere
- 37:19Speaker 6: that the running back cannot read. And it's just like
- 37:21Speaker 6: and then they never get to them. By the time
- 37:23Speaker 6: they get to them, the running backs already been hit.
- 37:26Speaker 6: So I see that too much where what I would
- 37:29Speaker 6: like to be taught. And when you go over the
- 37:32Speaker 6: film study is like, all right, I get it. You're
- 37:34Speaker 6: trying to get there. You're trying to be the perfect technique,
- 37:37Speaker 6: the perfect footwork, exactly what the playbook says, But in reality,
- 37:41Speaker 6: I just need you to get to the second level.
- 37:43Speaker 6: Like at some point that guard he doesn't need two
- 37:47Speaker 6: and a half seconds of help. Give him a little
- 37:49Speaker 6: presence and get up to the second level and be
- 37:52Speaker 6: aggressive with it.
- 37:53Speaker 5: It's just not happening.
- 37:54Speaker 6: They're all trying to be perfect in the run game,
- 37:58Speaker 6: which is creating ann perfect read for the running back.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Yeah, the running game.
- 38:04Speaker 4: When you're talking about it like there's gonna be some
- 38:07Speaker 4: dirtiness to it, it doesn't. It doesn't ever just show
- 38:10Speaker 4: up like you draw it up on the card and
- 38:12Speaker 4: what I saw. You sent it to me last night.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Your bull was already asleep, so this morning you're right.
- 38:17Speaker 4: I mean, they're trying to make sure they give good
- 38:19Speaker 4: hand presence and they get up to the second level,
- 38:21Speaker 4: and like you can appreciate, like if you're their coach,
- 38:24Speaker 4: you're trying to do that, but you also understand it's
- 38:26Speaker 4: hand presence. It's not I've got this guy too right.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Hand presence is let me help my guy till he
- 38:33Speaker 4: takes him over as I'm still working on my track
- 38:36Speaker 4: to my guy, yep, to my second level. And then
- 38:39Speaker 4: if the guy where I'm giving the hand presence is
- 38:42Speaker 4: showing a little bit, then that's on me as a
- 38:44Speaker 4: running back to run through that arm tackle exactly and
- 38:47Speaker 4: then get to the second level and make it cut.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Off of it.
- 38:49Speaker 6: I think what's being lost a little bit is the
- 38:52Speaker 6: running back would rather an offensive line declare exactly with
- 38:58Speaker 6: his body language who you're blocking and miss then not
- 39:03Speaker 6: declare who you're blocking and then actually get them. Yeah,
- 39:05Speaker 6: if you if you throw at a front shoulder of
- 39:08Speaker 6: a linebacker, if a lineman runs and throws at the
- 39:11Speaker 6: front shoulder and he misses them, the guy has to
- 39:15Speaker 6: go back door, so he has to go around the
- 39:17Speaker 6: offense on at least you know where you're running at
- 39:19Speaker 6: that point and you can hit at full speed. But
- 39:22Speaker 6: if you sit there and you just kind of like
- 39:23Speaker 6: patter your feet and you don't and you don't engage
- 39:26Speaker 6: the linebacker, then you're like the running backs like hesitant,
- 39:29Speaker 6: like where do I go? Which way am I going here?
- 39:32Speaker 6: So I'd like to see them. And when we say
- 39:34Speaker 6: second level, the first level is a defensive line. Second
- 39:36Speaker 6: levels the linebacker right past them. Then of course the
- 39:39Speaker 6: third level would be defensive backs. But like we want,
- 39:44Speaker 6: what they're trying to do is they're trying to help
- 39:46Speaker 6: too long on that first level and they're not getting
- 39:49Speaker 6: to the second level, which is creating a lot of chaos.
- 39:50Speaker 5: But I'll tell you if you.
- 39:51Speaker 6: Do want to fix it, I want to have everybody
- 39:55Speaker 6: needs to have a dog mentality of the number zero
- 40:00Speaker 6: there wide receiver, Heayley, can we pull this clip up?
- 40:03Speaker 6: I want to show you this clip that is uh
- 40:07Speaker 6: our guys Avian who absolutely I'll showed this to you all.
- 40:13Speaker 6: I the commercial break. I've never seen a wide receiver
- 40:15Speaker 6: do this right, Okay, watch this block down here by
- 40:18Speaker 6: number zero.
- 40:18Speaker 5: You're watching.
- 40:19Speaker 4: If you're watching on YouTube, you're watching on the bottom
- 40:21Speaker 4: of the screen. If you're listening on radio, you've got
- 40:23Speaker 4: trips to the left. You got a single receiver to
- 40:26Speaker 4: the short side of the field, which is AVI on Thomas.
- 40:28Speaker 6: And we have grown to absolutely love the dog that
- 40:31Speaker 6: is AVI on Thomas. Watch this dude come off the ball.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd never seen that. I mean, you're you're faking
- 40:40Speaker 4: a stutter route. The dB gets on his heels and
- 40:43Speaker 4: you just straight flat back him and and I know
- 40:47Speaker 4: we gotta take a break, but let me tell you,
- 40:49Speaker 4: when you watch this tape, you've got three LSU receivers
- 40:54Speaker 4: that got some dog in them. Like they're out there
- 40:57Speaker 4: and they're trying to do their part, like in the
- 40:58Speaker 4: run game, and like when they don't have the football,
- 41:01Speaker 4: which is very cool to see, but one in zero
- 41:05Speaker 4: they got all of it. They got all Those are
- 41:07Speaker 4: two players that I would not get too far away
- 41:10Speaker 4: from in any game plan. And if I need a play,
- 41:15Speaker 4: by god, where's number one? Where's he at? He's gonna
- 41:19Speaker 4: get open? It's fourth and one. Maybe bring them out
- 41:22Speaker 4: line that make a block. I promise you those days
- 41:25Speaker 4: are going to make a block in the trenches.
- 41:28Speaker 5: No doubt about it.
- 41:29Speaker 4: All right, we'll take a great more Lsu Florida when
- 41:31Speaker 4: we come back here on OTV. Off the bench, I
- 41:35Speaker 4: go to Boujoeselectrical dot com and it's not too late,
- 41:39Speaker 4: even though we've already had activity there in the Gulf
- 41:41Speaker 4: to get your whole whole home generator installed and ready
- 41:44Speaker 4: to go. We told you have over eighty right now
- 41:47Speaker 4: in stock at the warehouse. And so it's the process
- 41:50Speaker 4: of have them come out. See where you want this
- 41:53Speaker 4: generator right, like where the best place to put it is.
- 41:56Speaker 4: They slab it, They install it, and you are ready
- 41:58Speaker 4: to go, and you're ready for storms to as well.
- 42:01Speaker 4: Like the last thing that you want is to be
- 42:03Speaker 4: without power for any time period. It could be a day,
- 42:06Speaker 4: two days, whatever, and you don't have to worry about that.
- 42:08Speaker 4: You get the ultimate peace of mind with Boudro. Yeah,
- 42:11Speaker 4: why would you even take a chance. We live in
- 42:12Speaker 4: South Louisiana.
- 42:13Speaker 6: We know it's hurricane season now, but we also know
- 42:16Speaker 6: that there could be like eight inches of snow randomly
- 42:18Speaker 6: on a random winter So why would you even take
- 42:22Speaker 6: a rest?
- 42:22Speaker 5: It's Monday morning. I know that every Monday morning at
- 42:24Speaker 5: eight am, my.
- 42:25Speaker 6: Generator is going to kick off for about five minutes
- 42:27Speaker 6: of its little weekly maintenance, and my wife, my family
- 42:30Speaker 6: is going to have that peace of mind.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Go see them, get your whole home generator. Budroxelectrical dot Com.
- 42:44Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves. Gets off the
- 42:46Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 42:52Speaker 9: All right, we are back here on OTB LSU twenty
- 43:15Speaker 9: Florida ten, continuing to break it down.
- 43:19Speaker 5: Final stat line for some of the top Tigers.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Garret Nusmeyer fifteen to twenty seven two hundred and twenty
- 43:24Speaker 4: yards eight point one yards per attempt, one touchdown, one interception,
- 43:28Speaker 4: certainly an interception that he would like back. Cayden Durham
- 43:32Speaker 4: fifteen for ninety three six point two yards per carry,
- 43:35Speaker 4: of course, had a long of fifty one. Juwan Johnson
- 43:40Speaker 4: your second as far as Carrie's leading rusher, he had
- 43:43Speaker 4: four for zero. He had one where he lost a
- 43:46Speaker 4: lot of yards there, did have a run of eight yards.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Nobody else had more than one carry. Aaron Anderson your
- 43:52Speaker 4: leading receiver yet again, four for seventy five, Bower sharp
- 43:56Speaker 4: three for seventy one's Avion Thomas four four thirty five.
- 44:01Speaker 4: And you had Juwan Johnson lose a fumble there as well,
- 44:06Speaker 4: that didn't end up as a turnover because LSU was
- 44:09Speaker 4: able to get back on it. So you had the
- 44:10Speaker 4: one interception there that was the one turnover, So you
- 44:13Speaker 4: certainly won the turnover.
- 44:15Speaker 5: Ratio game there.
- 44:16Speaker 4: But still, if you're an LSU fan, Matty, do you
- 44:24Speaker 4: think that this offense can continue to develop and be
- 44:29Speaker 4: something that we in the preseason thought numbers wise that
- 44:34Speaker 4: we would see.
- 44:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess leading up to the season, we're all like,
- 44:38Speaker 6: we think the defense is going to be better.
- 44:40Speaker 5: We're pretty sure it is. Yeah, we got some pieces, yeah, and.
- 44:43Speaker 4: We felt good about probably the passing game. Yeah, No,
- 44:46Speaker 4: you know, the rushing attack obviously still Yeah, and.
- 44:49Speaker 6: I think like the biggest shock for LSU fans right now,
- 44:51Speaker 6: and that's why, like people are being judgmental after a
- 44:55Speaker 6: big SEC win. We hear the noise so right, wrong, different,
- 45:00Speaker 6: whatever your opinion is on that on how to judge.
- 45:03Speaker 6: I think it's just a little bit shocking that you're
- 45:06Speaker 6: not having the success offensively that you did a year
- 45:09Speaker 6: ago with a lot of most of the same pieces.
- 45:11Speaker 5: Yeah right, so why is that? What can you fix?
- 45:14Speaker 6: But I get the silver line is they can absolutely
- 45:17Speaker 6: be fixed because you've seen these people do it. You've
- 45:19Speaker 6: seen them go out and do it, so I would
- 45:23Speaker 6: expect that to be because the offense wasn't even a
- 45:26Speaker 6: question to us before the season, Like we knew it
- 45:29Speaker 6: was going to be explosive. We had this confidence because
- 45:32Speaker 6: we had literally seen it with our own eyes in
- 45:35Speaker 6: a year that the defense wasn't good. So the pieces
- 45:39Speaker 6: are there. We just have to use the pieces the
- 45:43Speaker 6: right way. And you just got to catch shrid. You
- 45:48Speaker 6: got to get confidence in that group. You got to
- 45:50Speaker 6: get confidence in that whole unit right there, so they'll
- 45:53Speaker 6: get it. They're shown it, all.
- 45:55Speaker 4: Right, our number two v TV coming back your way
- 45:58Speaker 4: off the bench, all right, every Friday during the football season,
