- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Knacky, and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always, I invite
- 0:06Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. And one
- 0:09Speaker 1: of the things I've always prayed over my children is
- 0:12Speaker 1: for godly friends and influences in their lives. With Sometimes
- 0:16Speaker 1: we don't realize we're the biggest influence in our children's lives,
- 0:20Speaker 1: So we've got to be careful of how we act
- 0:23Speaker 1: and live and conduct ourselves in front of them. Heavenly Father,
- 0:26Speaker 1: we come before you with grateful yet humbled hearts, lifting
- 0:30Speaker 1: up our children and our grandchildren to you. They are
- 0:33Speaker 1: gifts God, and we know it. They are arrows in
- 0:37Speaker 1: our hands. They are watching, they are listening. They're absorbing
- 0:41Speaker 1: more than we sometimes realize. So Lord, surround our youth
- 0:46Speaker 1: with godly friends and righteous influences. Send companions who sharpen
- 0:51Speaker 1: their character, not dull their conviction. Place them in circles
- 0:55Speaker 1: where integrity is honored, parity is valued, kindness is normal,
- 0:59Speaker 1: and faith is not mocked but celebrated. Guard their ears
- 1:03Speaker 1: God from voices that distort truth, Guard their eyes from
- 1:07Speaker 1: images that confuse identity. Guard their hearts from influences that
- 1:11Speaker 1: normalize compromise in a world full of noise, Let them
- 1:15Speaker 1: recognize your voice above all others. Father, we raise up
- 1:20Speaker 1: powerful positive voices around them, family members who speak life,
- 1:25Speaker 1: teachers who model wisdom, coaches who demonstrate discipline, pastors and
- 1:30Speaker 1: mentors who reflect your heart. God, let authority in their
- 1:34Speaker 1: lives be safe, be healthy, and be grounded in love.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Where leadership has failed in society, let your spirit raise
- 1:43Speaker 1: up leaders who lead with righteousness and compassion. And Lord,
- 1:46Speaker 1: we pause and we ask for forgiveness. God, forgive us
- 1:50Speaker 1: for the times we miss the mark. Forgive us for
- 1:53Speaker 1: the moments our words did not reflect your grace. Forgive
- 1:57Speaker 1: us for the attitudes, the reactions, and the behaviors that
- 2:01Speaker 1: may have planted confusion instead of clarity. Forgive us for
- 2:05Speaker 1: when we were distracted, impatient, harsh, or inconsistent. If we
- 2:10Speaker 1: have ever been the wrong example in front of them,
- 2:14Speaker 1: Heal what may have harmed, Correct what we may have misrepresented. God,
- 2:19Speaker 1: cover what we fail to model. Help us understand the
- 2:23Speaker 1: weight God of our influence. Remind us that little eyes
- 2:27Speaker 1: are watching how we handle conflict. Little ears are listening
- 2:31Speaker 1: to how we speak about others. Young hearts are learning
- 2:35Speaker 1: from how we respond to pressure, disappointment, and yes, even success.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Teach us to live what we preach. Teach us to
- 2:43Speaker 1: apologize when we're wrong. Teach us to show them what
- 2:46Speaker 1: repentance looks like, what humility looks like, what forgiveness looks like.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Let our homes be training grounds for faith. Let our
- 2:54Speaker 1: conversations plant seeds of wisdom. Let our daily lives reflect
- 2:57Speaker 1: consistency between Sunday worship Monday living. God give us courage
- 3:02Speaker 1: to set boundaries, patience to explain truth, and desernment to
- 3:06Speaker 1: recognize unhealthy influences. Early, help us not to parent or
- 3:11Speaker 1: mentor from fear, but from faith, not from anger, but
- 3:14Speaker 1: from love. Lord, ignight in our youth a hunger for You.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Let them desire friendships that strengthen their walk. Let them
- 3:22Speaker 1: choose influences that align with purpose. Let them become leaders
- 3:25Speaker 1: who stand firm when others bout out and God. Let us,
- 3:29Speaker 1: the adults in their lives, carry our responsibility with reference.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Let our actions preach louder than our words. Let our
- 3:36Speaker 1: characters speak even when we're silence. Cover our children, God,
- 3:40Speaker 1: cover and God our grandchildren shape us into the examples
- 3:44Speaker 1: they deserve. God, we place this generation this next generation
- 3:48Speaker 1: God into your hands, and we surrender ourselves to be
- 3:50Speaker 1: vessels that you can use in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen,
