[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans are hot on their heels, so the Jaguars can't afford to lose games if they want to host at least one home playoff game.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the Jagger 10 and 4, they have a huge matchup in Denver against the Broncos this weekend.

[SPEAKER_00]: And look, the Jaggers have won five straight games.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is a battle between two teams, neither of which has lost.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Broncos haven't lost in a lot longer than that, but goodness gracious, these two teams are hot.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so this game, I think, will tell you a lot about where the Jaguars are at right now.

[SPEAKER_00]: Part of that is, even if the Jaguars win the AFC South, the chances are they will not end up with the one seed.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the most likely scenario right now is that the Jaguar's end up with the two or the three seed.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Broncos are currently the one seed and the Patriots are the two seed.

[SPEAKER_00]: So if the Jaguars who are currently the three seed want to get the one or two seed, obviously beating the Broncos, beating the Colts, and beating the Titans as part of that recipe.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's at Denver, at Indy, and then verse 10 of seed.

[SPEAKER_00]: So finishing out the season on a eight game win streak is part of that recipe for getting the one seed or the two seed.

[SPEAKER_00]: For sure, even if the Jaguar is beat the Broncos, there's no guarantee that they will end up with a one or two seed, because the Broncos are 12 and two.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the Broncos, they're upcoming schedule.

[SPEAKER_00]: If they lose to the Jaguars, the Jagu would also need them to lose to either the Chiefs in Arrowhead on Christmas Day against a Patrick Mahomes list Chiefs team, which doesn't feel likely, or the Chargers to end the season, Chargers might be fighting for a playoff spot in that game.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's definitely pretty fascinating there.

[SPEAKER_00]: but definitely for the Jack Wars, part of that is just handling your business every single week.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you get the one seed, you have home field throughout the AFC entire playoffs and AFC until the Super Bowl, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jag war has been a lot better on the road than they have been at home.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're not a bad road team by any stretch at the imagination, but a lot of their games that have been a little wonky, little crazy over time, last minute games they have been on the road.

[SPEAKER_00]: uh... think about uh... the the bingles cardinals all these were road games and had they been home games with things have been completely different i don't know what i do know is the jackwares have been better at home they have played better football at home even though they have a winning record both home and a way they have played better football at home and ultimately

[SPEAKER_00]: In my mind, you want to give yourself the best chances of playing the best football for three straight games to get to the Super Bowl.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of folks like to talk about, you know, being road warriors and all this type of stuff, but I think playing at home is what you absolutely want, what do you desire.

[SPEAKER_00]: They can absolutely control their own destiny and just win these three games and then you you lock up the AFC South and you have at least one home game in the playoffs Which would be big.

[SPEAKER_00]: They are able to attack the middle of the field, which is Kobe Myers, middle intermediate and deep, which is Kobe, Britain's strange.

[SPEAKER_00]: You have your outside speed threat in Brian Thomas Jr., you have

[SPEAKER_00]: The threat of, you know, you're running back out of the backfield, which, based on Tutan, will be down for, it looks like the rest of the regular season, hopefully back for the playoffs, but even without him, Travis E.T.

[SPEAKER_00]: and a very capable receiving back, as evidenced by his three touchdown receptions this past week.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then, Lee Quint Allen comes in, and the Jack Wars also brought in DJ Dallas, who has a lot of experience.

[SPEAKER_00]: We can talk about DJ Dallas real quick, because we haven't done a show about that.

[SPEAKER_00]: But DJ Dallas has a lot of experiences of a Turner, which that is critical part of replacing what you had for the time being in Bachelton because he was a really good kick returner.

[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Dallas, he did play a little bit this year for Carolina.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, he has returned some kicks this year, but just going back to last year with the cardinals, he averaged 30 yards per return, like he's a guy that has a wealth of experience returning kicks, and he also has plenty of experience, um, running the football as well in this league, not ever been like a high-volume snap guy, but he has experience as a rotational back in the NFL.

[SPEAKER_00]: somebody who the Jack Wars can turn to should they feel they need to probably with his experience and his both versatility of play, special teams, kick returner and be kind of this

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's not the most consistent, but you get explosive runs, you get tough runs, and you just have a team that, you know, even though they are not exactly a dominant rushing team, they have the ability to run the ball on their opponents.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not every single week and not dominate every single week, but they also usually are not like completely shut down in the run game.

[SPEAKER_00]: So when you look at their yards per game on the ground, their average in 120 yards per game,

[SPEAKER_00]: We're just pretty good in their average in 4.1 yards per carry, which is really pretty average, unfortunately.

[SPEAKER_00]: But that's where they're at in the run game.

[SPEAKER_00]: I still think they have the ability to have a good ground game week to week.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's also the part of the run game where I think that lately Liam Cohen has just been so much more focused on throwing the ball and this offense has been so much more focused on throwing the ball.

[SPEAKER_00]: That the run set's run game has gone by the wayside a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not in terms of the amount of attempts and everything, but I think that Liam Cohen's attention is really going towards dialing it up in the passing game because he knows they can have an elite passing game and that's what you've been seeing over the last month or so.

[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive line pass protection, with Colman Lannon in there, Patrick Wincarey play him better, they're doing well.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the pass pro has been really good lately.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's how you score 33 points a game over the last seven games.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you look at defensively, they're rushing the pass or better.

[SPEAKER_00]: They are playing a lot better in coverage, they're forcing turnovers, their linebackers are playing elite football, good, I mean, best run defense team in the league.

[SPEAKER_00]: Special teams is firing on all cylinders for the most part, so yeah, they look very dangerous.

[SPEAKER_00]: No team has been absolutely consistent, like even the Broncos who have won 11 straight games.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you look at, they've beaten the good teams they've played.

[SPEAKER_00]: They beat the chiefs, they beat the Texans, they beat the cow, they beat the brakes off the cowboys who were playing pretty good ball at that time.

[SPEAKER_00]: So on this winch, they beat in some good teams, but they've also played really tight games against bad teams.

[SPEAKER_00]: They beat the Giants 33 to 32.

[SPEAKER_00]: We saw that this past week, but when you look at their quarterback, their backfield, their receivers, it's not the most ferocious offense that there is.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is well coordinated, well designed, well coached, and they have a great defense.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, they're, they're absolutely one of the contenders in the FC.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Patriots are also one of the contenders in the FC.

[SPEAKER_00]: They just lost to the bills after getting up 21 nothing, but Drake May is one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the league to watch.

[SPEAKER_00]: They have, you know, they have a good defense as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they're a more flawed team overall than really the other teams that I would consider true contenders in the FC.

[SPEAKER_00]: The AFC North, although the Ravens are trying to keep it close, and a fascinating game here for seeding Patriots versus Ravens, Ravens trying to fight for their playoff lives.

[SPEAKER_00]: Their path to getting in the playoffs is winning the AFC North.

[SPEAKER_00]: They have got to win their games and have the Steelers help them out a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: In the Steelers, when both of their next games, you're going to have Ravens at Steelers potentially decide the division there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Texans, I would probably put as the fifth team in the AFC in terms of the ability to potentially win it all or win the conference.

[SPEAKER_00]: Top four clearly of Broncos Patriots, Jack Wars bills, and then I would have the Texans and then the Chargers as the teams who could potentially make noise.

[SPEAKER_00]: You look at the Ravens' divisional record, Steelers are 3N1, Ravens are 3N2, so I don't know how that tiebreaker is going to work out if they end up with the same record in the Ravens' beat them in the final week of the regular season.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think when you compare the Jaguars for the rest of the AFC field, there is not a single team in the rest of the AFC that has shown the ability to play as dominant of football as the Jaguars have over the last month.

[SPEAKER_00]: The way the Jaguars have dominated their opponents the last month has not been paralleled by another team.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Patriots have shown the ability to absolutely dominate some opponents.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's versus Broncos, I'll reserve my opinion on that until later in the week for the playoffs, potentially that matchup, I'll reserve till after the Jaguar's play the Broncos and we can see how it goes for next week.

[SPEAKER_00]: outside of the Seahawks, who are also 11 and 3, also a team that beat the Jaguars.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Seahawks I would feel more comfortable with, because I don't see the Seahawks as the same level of dominant team as the Rams, and I think that you could adjust your game plan for what the Seahawks have done, and figure that one out and navigate that one a little bit better.
