- 1:01In our ongoing series, "Good to Great," Ken Benson shares Lesson Number Seven: Focus on
- 1:06strategy, not the competition.
- 1:09While monitoring rivals is part of the job, excessive focus can weaken a station's
- 1:14strategic clarity.
- 1:16Strong radio brands define a clear identity and execute it consistently, rather than reacting
- 1:22to competitors.
- 1:24This approach forces others to adjust, positioning the station as a market leader.
- 1:29The takeaway?
- 1:30Build a distinct strategy and let competitors react to you.
- 1:36Karen Chupka, NAB Executive Vice President, highlighted key themes for the NAB Show 2026.
- 1:43A major focus is on artificial intelligence, with its presence doubling from last year.
- 1:49The "creator economy" also takes center stage, with expanded programming for podcasters and
- 1:54video creators.
- 1:56Sports media is evolving rapidly, driven by new production technologies and distribution
- 2:01models.
- 2:02Additionally, the show emphasizes cloud-based production and streaming distribution, while
- 2:07international attendance has reached twenty-two percent.
- 2:11At the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Frank Foti, executive chairman at Telos Alliance, showcased
- 2:19the Omnia XII audio processor and Axia Pulsar console.
- 2:23The Omnia XII is designed to enhance loudness control, clarity, and on-air consistency.
- 2:30Meanwhile, the Axia Pulsar console represents a move towards compact, touchscreen-driven audio
- 2:36over Internet Protocol systems, suitable for flexible production environments.
- 2:42These innovations highlight Telos Alliance's commitment to advancing broadcast technology.
