- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up? Welcome to Movie Meltdown. You may have come
- 0:03Speaker 1: here to listen to this week's episode, but unless you're
- 0:06Speaker 1: a member of the Meltdown Horror Club, it's exclusive just
- 0:11Speaker 1: to them. So, you guys, don't you feel sorry for
- 0:14Speaker 1: these poor people? So much. Don't get to hear, because
- 0:18Speaker 1: we're doing a really good movie this week, and you
- 0:20Speaker 1: could be listening to us say awesome things like this
- 0:23Speaker 1: if you go and support us on Patreon. First off,
- 0:27Speaker 1: I wanted to ask, I think Everyone else, because we'd
- 0:32Speaker 1: mentioned it previously, had seen it. Philip, had you not
- 0:34Speaker 1: gotten to it until this time? I had not.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I've been hearing about it since it came out and
- 0:38Speaker 2: had been wanting to see it and finally did.
- 0:41Speaker 1: And I said last time we mentioned it, if anyone
- 0:44Speaker 1: would appreciate it, I feel like you would. So what
- 0:47Speaker 1: was your take on it just sort of overall?
- 0:51Speaker 3: I definitely feel like this was a movie that should
- 0:55Speaker 3: have only been like a theater movie. experience like some
- 0:59Speaker 3: a lot of like thriller movies i feel like i
- 1:02Speaker 3: you know i i feel like are still intense and
- 1:06Speaker 3: suspenseful like if i just check them out like on
- 1:08Speaker 3: netflix like months later but this was something that like
- 1:12Speaker 3: i specifically remember like almost having like a panic attack
- 1:16Speaker 3: in the first like 30 minutes of.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Watching this.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Even before that i think like the first time where
- 1:24Speaker 2: you get just like hit in the face of like, oh,
- 1:26Speaker 2: they're just going to show everything is when they, the,
- 1:31Speaker 2: you know, girl who's been killed is in there with
- 1:33Speaker 2: the knife sticking out of her head. And that guy,
- 1:35Speaker 2: you know, one of the friends is like, well, maybe
- 1:37Speaker 2: she's still alive. And the guy just grabs the knife
- 1:40Speaker 2: and drags her body, her entire body over by the knife.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And then it's like, oh, fuck.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I read that was based on a real thing. Alright.
- 1:52Speaker 3: The whole subplot with the two Nazis that are possibly
- 1:55Speaker 3: leaving the whole thing.
- 1:57Speaker 2: And then just when the guy is about to explain it,
- 1:59Speaker 2: he gets shot in the face.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Again, that was another one of those unconventional moments of like,
- 2:03Speaker 1: we just got this guy who's on our side. Okay, finally,
- 2:06Speaker 1: the story, maybe they can get out. That was your
- 2:08Speaker 1: moment of hope. Bam.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Half of his face is blown up.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I'm like, yep, once again, these guys cannot catch a break.
- 2:17Speaker 1: He was just the most dorky guy in the world.
- 2:19Speaker 3: I can't think of any of my punk rock friends
- 2:22Speaker 3: that vacuum their apartment at 7.
- 2:24Speaker 1: In the morning. He is extra dorky. Again, I think
- 2:29Speaker 1: that's why, and that's why I didn't even question it
- 2:32Speaker 1: when we threw it out as an option for the
- 2:34Speaker 1: horror club, because I'm like, it is a real world
- 2:38Speaker 1: horror movie, which we don't get many of. It's not,
- 2:40Speaker 1: there's no ghosts, there's no monsters except people. And like,
- 2:43Speaker 1: so there's nothing like it, but it really still feels
- 2:47Speaker 1: like a horror movie. Like it's equally as much thriller,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I guess, but at the same time, like it is
- 2:52Speaker 1: set up to be a confined space horror movie. But
- 2:55Speaker 1: even on top of that, the fact that we get
- 2:58Speaker 1: those moments that you're like, I don't know what's about
- 3:01Speaker 1: to happen here. And the unknown on the other side
- 3:04Speaker 1: of that door is like, Equally as terrifying as anything
- 3:09Speaker 1: else that I've seen in what people would consider a
- 3:13Speaker 1: little more legitimate horror movie. If you'd like to, I'm trying,
- 3:17Speaker 1: that's what I was discussing before. I'm trying to find
- 3:20Speaker 1: ways to make the milkateers out there be more of
- 3:24Speaker 1: a club. Maybe more interactive of a club. So if
- 3:28Speaker 1: you have ideas, email us. I was thinking maybe like, Again,
- 3:33Speaker 1: there's not really an easy way to do it on
- 3:35Speaker 1: the tier level without giving us a ton of money.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So I was like, maybe there's an extra donation setting
- 3:41Speaker 1: where you can donate so much and then request a
- 3:44Speaker 1: movie for us to watch. I assume they're going to
- 3:46Speaker 1: make us watch terrible things. Is there a way if
- 3:49Speaker 1: they give us enough money we can go to their
- 3:50Speaker 1: house and watch a movie? I did put some pretty
- 3:53Speaker 1: high tiers up there.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Whether they want us to or not.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I feel like we can work in an extra level.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Not quite the crazy... god level that is like the
- 4:03Speaker 1: top tier but the uh yeah the medium step down
- 4:07Speaker 1: where we can just show up at your house and
- 4:10Speaker 1: be like you got popcorn or what i mean we're
- 4:12Speaker 1: here oh yeah we're not bringing snacks i mean that
- 4:15Speaker 1: is your job as we have snack money we wouldn't
- 4:18Speaker 1: be doing this certainly wouldn't be asking you to join
- 4:21Speaker 1: the club and keep us alive because we'd be eating
- 4:24Speaker 1: popcorn right now but Yeah. So I don't know if
- 4:27Speaker 1: you have other ideas, but that's when I was thinking
- 4:29Speaker 1: maybe we can make it more interactive of a club.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Or if you have like your own take on these things,
- 4:35Speaker 1: we could maybe have like follow up, email in your
- 4:39Speaker 1: thoughts on whatever dumb movie we just watched for the
- 4:41Speaker 1: club and like we can... respond to the comments. Tell
- 4:46Speaker 1: us how wrong we are.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Or maybe we can re-examine a movie because maybe we
- 4:51Speaker 3: could be wrong.
- 4:51Speaker 1: You could write in and be like, you guys overthought
- 4:54Speaker 1: the hell out of this. You're the morons. So stop
- 4:58Speaker 1: talking so much about this dumb movie because these people
- 5:00Speaker 1: were terrible. You might be right. You know, maybe. So anyway,
- 5:05Speaker 1: just yeah, as the club continues on, we're trying to,
- 5:10Speaker 1: much like this scenario, morph and Take over the world.
- 5:13Speaker 2: We're trying to become more godlike is what he's trying
- 5:15Speaker 2: to say.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Worship us is what I'm saying. But if you have
- 5:17Speaker 1: better ways to improve the club or make it more interactive,
- 5:21Speaker 1: email in. Go to the website. The email thing is
- 5:25Speaker 1: right there and you can click on it. I don't
- 5:27Speaker 1: have to tell you how to spell things. Just go
- 5:29Speaker 1: to MovieMeltdown.com and figure out the best way to get
- 5:32Speaker 1: a hold of this and then let us know what
- 5:34Speaker 1: we should do next. So anyway, go to MovieMeltdown.com. Support
- 5:39Speaker 1: the show. Become a Meltketeer. Damn the man. Save the meltdown.
