- 0:16Speaker 4: Good morning Rich, Hi, good morning Hey.
- 0:18Speaker 3: So obviously you know second date update. You apparently went
- 0:21Speaker 3: on a great first date. You were getting ghosted and
- 0:23Speaker 3: you want to know why?
- 0:25Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Okay, so the producer says, you went out with a
- 0:30Speaker 3: girl named Lauren.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Tell me about this great date.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Yeah, so my friends actually sent me up with Floren. Uh,
- 0:37Speaker 4: you know, I live in the city, but my my friends,
- 0:39Speaker 4: I'm from here in Connecticut. So my friends sent me
- 0:41Speaker 4: up with this girl from home, and they said she was,
- 0:45Speaker 4: you know, an absolute perfect match. So I made the
- 0:49Speaker 4: track and I you know, offered to take her out
- 0:52Speaker 4: around here. So I came back and we met at
- 0:54Speaker 4: a restaurant, and I mean it was a great time.
- 0:58Speaker 4: It was a really good time. You know, she was funny,
- 1:02Speaker 4: she's really smart. Okay, I mean she's definitely really hot.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Okay, that's good.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Beautiful, Yeah, yeah, no, she was like beautiful all around.
- 1:10Speaker 4: I had a really good time. I thought she had
- 1:12Speaker 4: a really good time. So after you know, it ended
- 1:15Speaker 4: and I reached out to her for a second date.
- 1:18Speaker 5: No answer.
- 1:19Speaker 1: All right, so you're getting ghosted.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Basically, you thought the date was great, you you felt
- 1:23Speaker 3: a connection. You thought she was hot. I mean, did
- 1:25Speaker 3: you make her laugh? Did she seem comfortable?
- 1:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean she seemed I mean I thought so
- 1:31Speaker 4: that was my perspective of things, you know. So okay,
- 1:35Speaker 4: I mean I thought it was a good date.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I feel like it's a straightforward kind of date. So
- 1:38Speaker 3: why don't we just call her? Yes, all right, Rich,
- 1:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna put you on hold. You're gonna be listening in.
- 1:43Speaker 1: We're gonna call up Lauren.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna ask her to be honest, and you can
- 1:45Speaker 3: feel free to jump in at anytime.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Okay, yep, sounds good.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Hold on, sounds like a great guy.
- 1:50Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:51Speaker 2: You know what's so funny is I feel like when
- 1:53Speaker 2: you're set up, it's actually better because your friends know you.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Like I was set up, and that's why my husband,
- 1:57Speaker 2: Oh look stopped, he's a very lucky Hi.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Is this Lauren? Yes, hey, Lauren, it is Courtney Lauren,
- 2:06Speaker 1: it's Walmart Jeff.
- 2:07Speaker 6: Hey, Lauren, it's Savannah Hei.
- 2:09Speaker 1: You're on the radio. Hi, Hey, all right, listen.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I'm gonna just be honest, and I want you to
- 2:15Speaker 3: be honest with us as well.
- 2:17Speaker 1: You are on second date update.
- 2:18Speaker 3: So apparently you went on a first date and it
- 2:21Speaker 3: was fabulous and you are ghosting somebody.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And that's somebody you're ghosting is Rich.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Oh boy, Yeah, okay, I did.
- 2:30Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:30Speaker 3: So I just I mean, obviously you're familiar with the show.
- 2:33Speaker 3: We just want you to be honest. Rich Rich called us.
- 2:35Speaker 3: He said the date was fabulous. He came in from
- 2:38Speaker 3: the city to take you to dinner. He's I think
- 2:41Speaker 3: he said she's hot, smoking hot.
- 2:44Speaker 6: Definitely, he definitely said smoking.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Okay, and he had a great He's reached out to
- 2:49Speaker 3: you a couple times. He thought the date was great.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Now you're ghosting him. Why are you ghosting him?
- 2:55Speaker 2: So?
- 2:55Speaker 5: I don't know if he told you this. He probably didn't, okay,
- 2:58Speaker 5: because I guess I wouldn't vivoit with him. But before
- 3:02Speaker 5: he came to meet me. On his way to come
- 3:05Speaker 5: get me, he stopped at his parents' house and his
- 3:07Speaker 5: mom was cooking dinner. And he ate dinner there. Before
- 3:10Speaker 5: the date, he like was raving about his mom's food
- 3:15Speaker 5: and how it's like so delicious, and so by the
- 3:18Speaker 5: time he got to the restaurant, he wasn't hungry, and
- 3:20Speaker 5: so I sat there eating a meal by myself. Oh
- 3:24Speaker 5: and it was Yeah, it was weird. The vibes were
- 3:27Speaker 5: weird because he was just kept talking about his mom
- 3:30Speaker 5: and like, listen, I love a guy who like loves
- 3:32Speaker 5: his family, Like that's actually pretty important to me. But
- 3:35Speaker 5: it was. It was to the point where, you know,
- 3:38Speaker 5: it felt like he was dating her and me. I
- 3:41Speaker 5: don't know.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Wait, but if he wanted to have dinner at his
- 3:44Speaker 2: mom's and why wouldn't he like invite you to drinks
- 3:46Speaker 2: and like just not dinner, Like that doesn't make sense.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know. I agree, that's yeah, So he
- 3:52Speaker 5: did weird.
- 3:53Speaker 3: You're telling me, Lauren, he didn't eat anything like he
- 3:55Speaker 3: should have at least faked it and ate something. You
- 3:58Speaker 3: sat by yourself, ate dinner, and all he did was
- 4:00Speaker 3: talk about his mother.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Yeah, although might like total mama's boy. And I've had
- 4:06Speaker 5: experiences in the past, and it's kind of a red
- 4:07Speaker 5: flag for me at this point because of how many.
- 4:10Speaker 3: All right, well, listen, I want to bring rich in.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Rich are you listening? Are you a mama's boy?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Did you make her sit and eat dinner all by herself?
- 4:18Speaker 4: But first of all, I mean, yes, I love my
- 4:20Speaker 4: mother very much. I think that should be a huge
- 4:23Speaker 4: green flag. But besides that point, I mean, it's not
- 4:26Speaker 4: like I intended to, you know, go home and eat
- 4:29Speaker 4: a full meal and then go on to state. I
- 4:31Speaker 4: just happened to go home and my mom's cooking, and
- 4:33Speaker 4: I rarely go home, I like rarely get to go home,
- 4:36Speaker 4: and it just smelt so good. And my mother is
- 4:38Speaker 4: such a good cook, and so I ate dinner. And
- 4:41Speaker 4: she was really happy, and me and my mother really happy.
- 4:43Speaker 4: And you know, I feel like at this age we
- 4:45Speaker 4: should prioritize think our parents happy sometimes, right, so I.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Would prioritize making myself happy at this age, I feel
- 4:52Speaker 5: like I don't know, I mean, I remember things.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I mean, honestly, it was a little shocking me here,
- 4:59Speaker 4: Like you want somebody who's like mean to their mom.
- 5:01Speaker 4: I mean, I wonder how well that will work out
- 5:03Speaker 4: for you?
- 5:03Speaker 2: Wait, hold on, hold on, Rich There's like a big
- 5:06Speaker 2: difference between being like a family kind of guy, which
- 5:09Speaker 2: is wonderful.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Like being a family guy is wonderful.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I love that.
- 5:12Speaker 2: But when you're like an od mama's boy and it's
- 5:15Speaker 2: like intrusive into the relationship, that causes issues in itself.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not a therapist, but that's just my
- 5:20Speaker 2: two cents.
- 5:22Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know I would like I said,
- 5:25Speaker 4: I wouldn't call myself mama's way, but yeah, I love
- 5:27Speaker 4: my mom.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Said Rich, Rich, we can't fall No, but he's a
- 5:31Speaker 1: mama's boy. Rich. You came in all the way from
- 5:33Speaker 1: this city.
- 5:34Speaker 3: And my guess is Lauren uh spent time on what
- 5:38Speaker 3: she was gonna wear, maybe her makeup. She probably didn't
- 5:41Speaker 3: have a lot to eat that day. She was gonna
- 5:43Speaker 3: go to dinner with you and sit and chat and eat,
- 5:46Speaker 3: And she sat and ate dinner by herself as a
- 5:49Speaker 3: single woman. I'm sure Lauren, you felt I should have
- 5:51Speaker 3: just stayed home, had dinner by myself, me and the dog.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Because you're sitting there eating by yourself at a restaurant.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Yeah, you know how awkward it is to just slurp
- 5:59Speaker 5: up spaghetti. Yea's the only one eating.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's weird. It's weird. Okay, it's kind of sexy
- 6:04Speaker 1: if you really think about it.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Listen, Lauren, would you consider going on a second day
- 6:08Speaker 3: you guys, if I paid for.
- 6:09Speaker 1: It and we'd like not have the food.
- 6:12Speaker 5: No, I'm sorry, I don't think I'm interested in the
- 6:14Speaker 5: second date?
- 6:15Speaker 1: All right, all right, well listen, Rich tell you mom
- 6:17Speaker 1: we said hi.
- 6:19Speaker 4: I will. Yeah, nothing I could do about that.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I'm sure she's fabulous and she's a great cook. Yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 1: all right, Well listen.
- 6:26Speaker 3: It's not a love match, obviously, but I appreciate both
- 6:28Speaker 3: of you guys being on second date.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Update. I appreciate you.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Both being very honest too, and I hope you have
- 6:32Speaker 3: a fabulous day.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Y
