Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York Kate still Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven to ten. Wor Well, it's Monday,
- 0:14Speaker 1: and we got a lot to get to today. We'll
- 0:16Speaker 1: get to that No King's crazy No King stuff. We
- 0:21Speaker 1: get to President Trump and Iran. Things looking good in Iran.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We'll get to the ballroom controversy of President Trump's new ballroom.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We'll get to JFK. Junior. We'll get to Tiger Woods
- 0:31Speaker 1: sad sad story, and we'll get to that stupid Inner
- 0:37Speaker 1: Circle thing that is We've got to be one of
- 0:38Speaker 1: the worst dinners ever put on. We'll get to that
- 0:41Speaker 1: coming up. So, yeah, the No Kings, it's very important.
- 0:46Speaker 1: The No Kings, what do you call it a march
- 0:48Speaker 1: or rally? The noo King stuff is really really important
- 0:53Speaker 1: because it's like a therapy session for these Trump Arrangements
- 0:57Speaker 1: syndrome people. They're all just going nuts with hatred and
- 1:01Speaker 1: rage and just the nuts about Trump. So they need
- 1:04Speaker 1: an outlet, so they get out in the street. They
- 1:06Speaker 1: got signs, they got costumes. You look, it looks like
- 1:09Speaker 1: Halloween at the Senior Center. They're all it's a mixture
- 1:13Speaker 1: of the old senior citizens, the angry old senior citizens.
- 1:17Speaker 1: The blue haired nosering crowd is out there and they're
- 1:20Speaker 1: all marching and just screaming and yell. It looks like
- 1:24Speaker 1: New Year's Eve at the nuthouse. And it's good for them.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Gives them something to do. And they all go home
- 1:30Speaker 1: and watch themselves on the news and then they watch
- 1:33Speaker 1: Trevor Noah and MS Now and all that, and they're
- 1:37Speaker 1: protesting no kings, and it was a very successful march.
- 1:41Speaker 1: You look around, there's no kings. Obviously they did the trick. Actually,
- 1:46Speaker 1: the last time we had a king, we did have
- 1:49Speaker 1: a king in America. It was seventeen seventy five. It
- 1:52Speaker 1: was King George the Third. So I guess they're protesting him,
- 1:57Speaker 1: which I guess is good. But you're two hundred and
- 1:59Speaker 1: fifty one year is too late. It's really just I mean,
- 2:06Speaker 1: a lot of these Trump haters trump arrangement syndrome people.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Many of them are very smart people. They are attorneys,
- 2:13Speaker 1: they're professors, but they're just childish. They're just crazy and
- 2:18Speaker 1: childish when it comes to Trump. Nobody worse than Robert
- 2:23Speaker 1: de Niro. It's tough to watch. I could separate in
- 2:28Speaker 1: my head, but it's tough to watch a de Niro
- 2:29Speaker 1: movie now, because you see the tough guy and goodfellows,
- 2:33Speaker 1: the tough guy in casino, then you watch them in
- 2:36Speaker 1: real life. He's a crying, weak, little, just ridiculous figure.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So he was at the rally, he was trying to speak,
- 2:46Speaker 1: could barely get the words out, and it was strange.
- 2:51Speaker 1: He was reading it off a script. Guy's a professional actor.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You'd think you'd be able to actually just memorize that
- 2:59Speaker 1: it was a couple of cents, but he was fumbling
- 3:01Speaker 1: and mumbling. And you gotta remember, as we always point out,
- 3:05Speaker 1: it was Truman Capoti that first pointed this out. The
- 3:08Speaker 1: greatest actors, I'm not talking a good actor. I'm talking
- 3:10Speaker 1: with the most brilliant actors were always stupid. In real life.
- 3:15Speaker 1: There were always very dumb people. Now I don't know
- 3:17Speaker 1: why that is. I'm not a psychologist. I can't explain it.
- 3:20Speaker 1: But the Capoti always went through the whole list, from
- 3:23Speaker 1: Marlon Brando to all the great actors were incredibly dumb.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So there must be something to it. It must help
- 3:31Speaker 1: them just be a better actor, to be dumb, to
- 3:34Speaker 1: be able to transform themselves into somebody else. So the
- 3:38Speaker 1: No Kings yelling and screaming went on all weekend. It
- 3:40Speaker 1: got a lot of coverage. It had three billion dollars
- 3:45Speaker 1: behind it. It was financed with three billion dollars money
- 3:50Speaker 1: from sorrows, money from Roy Singman and those soda guys.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It was five hundred organizations behind it. That three billion
- 3:58Speaker 1: dollars was funneled into those five hundred different organizations, all
- 4:02Speaker 1: in different areas to get this whole thing going. But
- 4:07Speaker 1: and it's like a club. It's like, it's not just
- 4:10Speaker 1: the march. It's a social life for a lot of
- 4:13Speaker 1: these lunatics. You know, like if you go to a
- 4:15Speaker 1: Mets game, a lot of the people are real baseball fanatics.
- 4:18Speaker 1: They're studying the game. But a lot of the people,
- 4:20Speaker 1: and this is fine, they're up in the bleachers there wherever.
- 4:23Speaker 1: They're there for the camaraderie, the beer. They're having fun,
- 4:26Speaker 1: meeting people. It's a party for them, which is fine.
- 4:30Speaker 1: It's like a baseball party. So this is like a
- 4:32Speaker 1: Trump arrangement syndrome party. So for many of these people,
- 4:35Speaker 1: it's a party. Now, when it comes to the idea
- 4:37Speaker 1: of a No King's Day, well, we've already had a
- 4:41Speaker 1: No King's Day for years. It's called the fourth of July.
- 4:44Speaker 1: That's what that was. It was a no King's Day.
- 4:46Speaker 1: It was Independence Day to celebrate getting rid of the king.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So we've always had a no King's Day. But as
- 4:53Speaker 1: I always point out to you, liberals hate the Fourth
- 4:55Speaker 1: of July American flags and fireworks and pick oh. They
- 5:00Speaker 1: don't like that stuff. So they like their own no
- 5:02Speaker 1: kings there. I don't know exactly what king they're protesting,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but and a lot of people say, well, yeah, a
- 5:08Speaker 1: lot of them are the young, pink haired, nose ring crowd.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Well what are all these senior citizens. There's so many
- 5:14Speaker 1: senior citizens. Those are the elderly hippies of the late
- 5:18Speaker 1: nineteen sixties. They're all there. These are the nineteen sixties Woodstock,
- 5:23Speaker 1: Hayte Ashbury hippies in their golden years out there in
- 5:28Speaker 1: the street screaming. Now, if you're really against no kings,
- 5:33Speaker 1: if you had a serious principle, here they do no kings.
- 5:36Speaker 1: If that's really what you're about, well then what you
- 5:41Speaker 1: should be fighting for is term limits. That's where you
- 5:43Speaker 1: get your kings. You know, if your president you've only
- 5:45Speaker 1: got a four year term, maybe you could get re elected,
- 5:48Speaker 1: but Trump's only been in office five years. You got
- 5:50Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer, he's been there forty nine years. You got
- 5:53Speaker 1: Pelosi forty seven years, you got Mitch McConnell one hundred
- 5:57Speaker 1: and fifty years, you got all. That's where you get
- 5:59Speaker 1: your kings, permanent, permanent government people. So if you're really
- 6:04Speaker 1: for no kings, you gotta fight for term limits. And
- 6:07Speaker 1: President Trump should bring it up. That should be his
- 6:09Speaker 1: no kings moving term limits on everybody. If you're in
- 6:12Speaker 1: the Senate two terms, if you're in the House two terms.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Although House is short, two years, maybe four terms in
- 6:19Speaker 1: the House, but you gotta have term limits. That's the
- 6:23Speaker 1: way you get rid of kings. Hey, the tiger Wood
- 6:26Speaker 1: situation was so tragic. Now, nobody's been in more car crashers.
- 6:32Speaker 1: If you had a contest, well, I think Billy Joel
- 6:33Speaker 1: might win. How many crashes has he been in? But
- 6:36Speaker 1: that's probably drinking. In the tiger Woods case, it's not alcohol.
- 6:41Speaker 1: It's not alcohol, it's drugs. It's medication. Now, the first
- 6:46Speaker 1: crash was what year was that? It was two thousand
- 6:50Speaker 1: and nine. I remember I was filling in for Sean Hannity.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It was three to five. The show was about to start,
- 6:57Speaker 1: We're just about to go in the year. All of
- 6:58Speaker 1: a sudden, the bulletin comes in the breaking news Tiger
- 7:01Speaker 1: Woods has been involved in a car accident. And we're
- 7:05Speaker 1: about to go on the air with this, and they're
- 7:07Speaker 1: getting me the details, and it says he was in
- 7:09Speaker 1: his driveway and he was coming out. He hit a
- 7:12Speaker 1: tree on one side and he hit a fire hydrant
- 7:14Speaker 1: on the other side. So I knew right away that
- 7:20Speaker 1: he was being chased. You know, when you come out
- 7:22Speaker 1: of your driveway, you're going very slow. You couldn't hit
- 7:25Speaker 1: someone on this side then hit someone that said you're
- 7:27Speaker 1: going too slow. So obviously he was being chased because
- 7:30Speaker 1: he must have been backing out of his driveway like
- 7:32Speaker 1: at fifty miles an hour to hit one thing, bounce
- 7:34Speaker 1: off and hit another thing. And sure enough, it turned
- 7:37Speaker 1: out it was his wife chasing him with a golf club,
- 7:39Speaker 1: trying to kill him because she found his phone and
- 7:42Speaker 1: the raunchy conversations with other women. Now many celebrities do this,
- 7:50Speaker 1: but all these celebrities that do this, I'll save this
- 7:54Speaker 1: for when I write a book or something. I don't
- 7:56Speaker 1: want to go to know all these stories, but all
- 7:58Speaker 1: these celebrities do this, but they got another phone that
- 8:01Speaker 1: the wife doesn't know about, and they got a guy
- 8:04Speaker 1: usually who takes care of all these arrangements, making the
- 8:07Speaker 1: dates and all that, and it's done through his phone.
- 8:09Speaker 1: So even if the wife got the husband's regular phone,
- 8:12Speaker 1: he wouldn't see a thing and she wouldn't see anything
- 8:14Speaker 1: in there. But Tiger was naively one phone, and he
- 8:17Speaker 1: tries to do it all in that phone, and he
- 8:19Speaker 1: goes to the take a shower, and he's not in
- 8:21Speaker 1: the shower, and the wife gets his phone and sees
- 8:23Speaker 1: all this stuff. Two thousand and nine. Next crash twenty seventeen,
- 8:28Speaker 1: Remember the car went off the road, went down a
- 8:30Speaker 1: cliff or something. That was medication, you know, in his defense,
- 8:34Speaker 1: he's in tremendous pain from these injuries, all kinds of injuries,
- 8:38Speaker 1: so he's on all kinds of that serious, heavy duty
- 8:40Speaker 1: addictive pain medication. Then there was the twenty twenty one crash,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and then there was this week. So that's the fourth
- 8:50Speaker 1: crash that we know about, fourth serious crash. Now, Tiger
- 8:55Speaker 1: is also known for being He's notorious for speeding through
- 8:59Speaker 1: his neighborhood. He's always speeding through the neighborhood at ninety
- 9:02Speaker 1: miles an hour. It's a quiet little neighborhood Jupiter Island
- 9:06Speaker 1: in Florida. But he's always speeding like a maniac, going
- 9:08Speaker 1: in and out of traffic, weaving in and out of cars. Well,
- 9:11Speaker 1: he tried it with a truck. He didn't realize the
- 9:13Speaker 1: truck was towing a little trailer. He clipped that and
- 9:17Speaker 1: his land rover flipped over. Police show up. Now he's
- 9:21Speaker 1: been through this enough. He took a breathalyzer at the scene.
- 9:26Speaker 1: They could see that he was impaired. They thought he
- 9:28Speaker 1: was drunk or something. They gave him a breathalyzer and
- 9:31Speaker 1: he blew a triple zero. That means no alcohol in
- 9:34Speaker 1: his system. None zero. Then they asked him about a
- 9:39Speaker 1: blood test or a urine test, and he refused because
- 9:43Speaker 1: he's been through this enough times. He knows it's not alcohol,
- 9:45Speaker 1: it's medication. It will show up in the urine test,
- 9:48Speaker 1: it will show up in the blood test, so he refuses. Now,
- 9:51Speaker 1: by refusing those tests, that's a crime right there. So
- 9:54Speaker 1: he's going to get arrested for that. He's also, yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you smart not to take the test because now there's
- 10:02Speaker 1: no actual, absolute proof that he was on that medication.
- 10:05Speaker 1: But don't prove it. They'll find it, and you know,
- 10:09Speaker 1: to find the pills, they'll find the whole thing. So
- 10:11Speaker 1: he's gonna have a real problem. He's got to try
- 10:13Speaker 1: to stay out of jail this time. And it's gonna
- 10:15Speaker 1: be tough. When you're Tiger Woods and at your home state,
- 10:19Speaker 1: you can pull a lot of strings. But it's like
- 10:23Speaker 1: the third time, fourth time, he's gonna have a problem.
- 10:26Speaker 1: President Trump was asked about it.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I feel so badly. He's, uh, he's got some difficulty.
- 10:33Speaker 2: There was an accident, and that's all I know. A
- 10:36Speaker 2: very close friend of mine. He's an amazing person, amazing man.
- 10:40Speaker 2: But some difficulties. We we don't.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about it. Yeah, because the
- 10:47Speaker 1: President knows this guy's got a serious chance of going
- 10:50Speaker 1: to jail. He's got serious legal problems. Better to say nothing.
- 10:54Speaker 1: You don't want to do anything to influence what's going
- 10:57Speaker 1: to happen to him. So, oh hey, we've got to
- 11:00Speaker 1: mention the No Kings March No Kings. As I said,
- 11:04Speaker 1: it's senior citizens. A lot of senior citizens and one
- 11:07Speaker 1: elderly senior citizen came out for the new Kings March.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Actually he went to Minnesota. His name is Bruce Springstey,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and there was Bruce. It's like Bob Dylan in the
- 11:19Speaker 1: sixties at the protest there was Bruce where his protest
- 11:22Speaker 1: song about Minnesota kind of sad. He's become like a
- 11:25Speaker 1: parody of himself. We'll talk about old yeah, Bull, it's
- 11:29Speaker 1: a good Joe Biden's singing. We'll remember the names. It's
- 11:33Speaker 1: really only two names. It's I mean, it's not like
- 11:35Speaker 1: Vietnam we got to remember sixty thousand names. Well remember that. Yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 1: I can remember them now I can't remember were they good?
- 11:44Speaker 1: And Alex pretty See, it's just two names. You can
- 11:48Speaker 1: do it. You can remember him. Hey, they had that
- 11:52Speaker 1: Inner Circle dinner. I heard them talking on the morning shoes.
- 11:55Speaker 1: How come I how come I don't go to it? Well,
- 11:57Speaker 1: I used to go to it years ago. But it's
- 11:59Speaker 1: the worst in the world. It is the absolute worst
- 12:02Speaker 1: thing you could ever sit through. And everybody there calls
- 12:05Speaker 1: me from the dinner telling me how horrible it is,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and they can't believe. Here's the problem with it. You know,
- 12:11Speaker 1: it sounds like it's the news media, the media, the
- 12:13Speaker 1: TV newspaper, the media, of New York. Hold this dinner.
- 12:17Speaker 1: When you get there, you won't know who anybody is.
- 12:19Speaker 1: It's not any media you've ever heard of. It's the
- 12:21Speaker 1: backbenchers from every newsroom. It's the street reporters, the weekend
- 12:26Speaker 1: the people, it's the you know, even in the grand
- 12:29Speaker 1: days of the Inner Circle, it was never Chuck Scarborough,
- 12:32Speaker 1: it was never any of the big names. Always the backbenchers.
- 12:36Speaker 1: And they try to compare themselves to the White House
- 12:40Speaker 1: Correspondence dinner. But that's a professionally done dinner. It's very tight,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and they have some speeches, a couple of serious speeches,
- 12:49Speaker 1: and then one of the top comedians of the world
- 12:51Speaker 1: gets up and does twenty minutes and it's very funny.
- 12:54Speaker 1: And then the President gets up and there's a ten minute,
- 12:57Speaker 1: very funny response, and he has top comedy right write
- 13:01Speaker 1: his response. This Inner Circle dinner is the most unbelievable
- 13:05Speaker 1: ego maniac festival you've ever seen. These are all these
- 13:08Speaker 1: backbenchers from the newsroom who you you don't even know.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Sometimes they're what they call double snaps. You'd go, yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 1: what's his name, Like you've seen the face, you just
- 13:17Speaker 1: don't know who it is. But they write this stuff out,
- 13:23Speaker 1: and they have the most unbelievable egos. They can't edit anything,
- 13:28Speaker 1: so the show goes for like three hours. It's not
- 13:31Speaker 1: that funny. I mean, you find a couple of funny
- 13:33Speaker 1: mint moments here and there. But if a professional director
- 13:37Speaker 1: of producer, if a Louren Michaels came in, he'd say,
- 13:39Speaker 1: what the hell are you doing? Cut this down to
- 13:41Speaker 1: forty minutes, cut it down to thirty five minutes, and
- 13:44Speaker 1: make it a fast, tight thirty five minutes. This is
- 13:46Speaker 1: three hours. Most of it is lame and boring, and
- 13:49Speaker 1: I don't know where they ever get this idea. They
- 13:51Speaker 1: they can't sing or dance, I mean, which is fine.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I can't either, but they do like twenty five songs
- 13:57Speaker 1: where they sing and dance and costumes like it's a
- 13:59Speaker 1: Broadway music. None of them can singer dance except one,
- 14:03Speaker 1: what's her name, Hazel Sanchez Channel eleven, actually actually ken
- 14:06Speaker 1: sing and it's pretty passable as a dancer. So there's one.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But it's the most ridiculous, And people are calling me
- 14:13Speaker 1: from there every time there's an inner circle dinner. It's
- 14:16Speaker 1: a problem because I'm always out on Saturday. They're all
- 14:17Speaker 1: calling Oh my god, it's like hour number two of
- 14:19Speaker 1: the show. It's just never stops. It's so lame. And
- 14:22Speaker 1: Mom Donnie. They love Mam Donnie the press, so they're
- 14:25Speaker 1: all over him. The whole thing is them conspiring of
- 14:29Speaker 1: Mom Donnie to put this thing on. He works with them,
- 14:31Speaker 1: They work with him all and they put him at
- 14:34Speaker 1: a seat of honor right in the middle of the room,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and then they work out all these sketches with him
- 14:39Speaker 1: and then he does his respect. But they're coordinating with
- 14:41Speaker 1: Mom Donnie round the clock for weeks and months on
- 14:44Speaker 1: this whole thing. And then in Mam Donnie's long piece,
- 14:50Speaker 1: somewhere in there at the end, he runs a video
- 14:52Speaker 1: where they asked Curtis to come over and film this
- 14:54Speaker 1: at the It's filmed in the Mayor's office at City Hall,
- 14:57Speaker 1: so it's like a little minute and a half of Curtis.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So as soon as this I'm men to have a Curtis.
- 15:02Speaker 1: They're going crazy. How dare Curtis get involved with Mayor
- 15:05Speaker 1: Mam Donnie? How dare he get involved in the skit
- 15:07Speaker 1: with mayor? But you guys just spent three hours involved
- 15:09Speaker 1: with Mayor Mam Donnie. You just did forty skits with him.
- 15:12Speaker 1: But are you so mad about Curtis? And again it
- 15:15Speaker 1: was cute, but it wasn't that funny. I still don't
- 15:17Speaker 1: really get it. It's something about Mam Donnie is going
- 15:19Speaker 1: to have a cat, so he needs a doctor to
- 15:22Speaker 1: give him an allergy shot for the cat, and the
- 15:24Speaker 1: doctor is Curtis. It's it's cute, It's okay.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Anyway, I don't know if the nurse told you, I'm
- 15:30Speaker 2: sort of going to a midlife.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Crisis, you know, changing careers. It's been a little traumatic.
- 15:35Speaker 3: What were you doing before?
- 15:36Speaker 1: Oh, you know, hosting radio shows, protecting parade right to
- 15:41Speaker 1: exist and most importantly, helping to destroy finished old political dynasties.
- 15:50Speaker 1: By the way, it isn't all about me.
- 15:52Speaker 4: What do you do?
- 15:53Speaker 2: No, I'm a content creator by do little governing on
- 15:56Speaker 2: the side.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Anyway, first day, you're going.
- 15:58Speaker 1: To do great doctoral glaze in me seem it goes on.
- 16:04Speaker 1: It's cute, but it's like if this were a real
- 16:07Speaker 1: like Saturday Night Live or a real professional show, the
- 16:11Speaker 1: producer would reject most of these sketches, or they'd tighten
- 16:14Speaker 1: them up. The whole show would be thirty five minutes,
- 16:16Speaker 1: not three hours and people can't sing or dan. It
- 16:19Speaker 1: was just embarrassing. And you should see they spend a
- 16:23Speaker 1: fortune producing this thing. They spent a fortune producing this thing.
- 16:27Speaker 1: If you saw the amount that ends up going to
- 16:29Speaker 1: the charity, because it's all expenses producing this thing, you
- 16:32Speaker 1: wouldn't be too thrilled. But then all hell broke loose?
- 16:38Speaker 1: What is Curtis doing with them? Mayor? You guys just
- 16:40Speaker 1: spend three hours in the room with them. And by
- 16:42Speaker 1: the way, if you go there, you don't see anybody
- 16:44Speaker 1: in the audience anymore. It used to be every politician
- 16:47Speaker 1: had to come. They felt they had to. The senator, Schumer,
- 16:50Speaker 1: the other senator, police commissioner, fire commission. Don't see them
- 16:53Speaker 1: there anymore. In fact, you could look around the room,
- 16:55Speaker 1: you'd recognize about five people in the whole room. Anyway,
- 16:58Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one
- 17:01Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 17:05Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. Get Mark on demand by setting
- 17:10Speaker 1: a presead for his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Now back to Mark Simone on wor.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Eight.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Let's tax some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 17:22Speaker 1: seven ten is the number. Let's go to Mike and Brooklyn.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Mike, how you doing, Hey, Mark, Hey, listen.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I was listening to you earlier talk about Tiger Woods
- 17:30Speaker 3: and how tragic it is about what happened.
- 17:32Speaker 4: You know, what's tragic if it kills somebody next time.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Well, I didn't say. I didn't say it was you
- 17:40Speaker 1: should beat the no Kings rally yelling. I didn't say
- 17:42Speaker 1: it was tragic. I think it was the president, who's
- 17:44Speaker 1: his close friend. I feel so badly.
- 17:46Speaker 2: He's uh, he's got some difficulty. There was an accident,
- 17:51Speaker 2: and that's all I know. A very close friend of
- 17:54Speaker 2: mine is an amazing person, amazing man, but some difficulties.
- 18:01Speaker 1: We don't know. He didn't say it either. He didn't
- 18:03Speaker 1: say tragic either. You know. I guess if anything was tragic,
- 18:05Speaker 1: it's just that the guy has so much talent. And
- 18:08Speaker 1: it all started in two thousand and nine, that first crash.
- 18:12Speaker 1: That was his wife chasing him down the drug. But
- 18:14Speaker 1: that's where he really injured himself and never played the
- 18:17Speaker 1: same again. So, I mean, here was a guy one
- 18:19Speaker 1: of the greatest golfers, might have been the greatest golfer
- 18:22Speaker 1: ever had he not gotten that first injury two thousand
- 18:25Speaker 1: and nine. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike, how
- 18:27Speaker 1: you doing, good morning?
- 18:29Speaker 3: Mark?
- 18:29Speaker 5: Yes, Mike, I really got a kick out of the
- 18:32Speaker 5: No King's Hollywood division protesting, considering that they all insist
- 18:37Speaker 5: on being treated like kings and queens. Many of them
- 18:40Speaker 5: are referred to as Hollywood Royalty, which is kind of
- 18:43Speaker 5: interesting and not to mention, Bruce Springsteen is known as
- 18:46Speaker 5: the Boss, so it's a nice little tiny package of
- 18:51Speaker 5: self unawareness.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Very good point, Mike, thanks for calling. Yeah, you know
- 18:55Speaker 1: Gail King, same thing. Her name is King. It's Gail King.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Did you see that video of her leaving the CBS.
- 19:02Speaker 1: It's reigning and there's a guy whose job is to
- 19:04Speaker 1: hold the umbrella over her head as she walks out
- 19:07Speaker 1: to the car. She can't even hold her own umbrella.
- 19:10Speaker 1: And her name is King. Talk about no Kings. Let's
- 19:12Speaker 1: go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing?
- 19:16Speaker 4: Good morning?
- 19:16Speaker 3: Mark?
- 19:16Speaker 4: A boarding Mara Mark speaking about the Boss. Had Bruce
- 19:21Speaker 4: Springsteen Trito audition for a record contract and or producer
- 19:27Speaker 4: Jimmy Jovine who I know? Uh, he would have never
- 19:30Speaker 4: got a contract for his first at that Born to
- 19:32Speaker 4: Run album. Mark in Italy in Milan, in Rome and
- 19:38Speaker 4: in some of the big cities in Italy, they had
- 19:41Speaker 4: that stupid their version of that stupid No King's March.
- 19:45Speaker 4: All the communist unions were marching with them, and all
- 19:50Speaker 4: the same you know, purple head, nose ring, people screaming,
- 19:55Speaker 4: but it was all in Italian and the funniest, the
- 19:59Speaker 4: oddist thing about it. They're marching along with Palestinians, waving
- 20:04Speaker 4: the Palestinians flags and everything. Meanwhile the Palestinians, the offspring,
- 20:11Speaker 4: the first and second generation Palestinian kids, are ruining their country.
- 20:16Speaker 4: For the most part, their drug dealers. They're like the
- 20:20Speaker 4: people in Minneapolis, most of them around welfare. They run
- 20:25Speaker 4: every scam in the book. And I know because my
- 20:29Speaker 4: friend had to break a couple of our people's faces.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Yeah, they were doing.
- 20:35Speaker 4: The same stupid nonsense there. You know, it's my favorite.
- 20:40Speaker 4: People were marching in the No Kings Did you see Mark?
- 20:43Speaker 4: There bunch of people who marched as frogs and the
- 20:46Speaker 4: No Kings March. They were dressed as frogs.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Literally, I forget what that means. Frogs means something.
- 20:51Speaker 4: To them that's well, I don't know what it means.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Used that frog symbol all the time. It's one of
- 20:56Speaker 1: their emojis.
- 20:57Speaker 4: I forget what it means, but it was the stupidest
- 21:00Speaker 4: thinking the world. And they're screaming in the and the
- 21:02Speaker 4: same old bromides. Oh and also Bernie Sanders, was that
- 21:06Speaker 4: a Democratic Socialist confabt this week and weekend screaming the
- 21:12Speaker 4: same old stuff. People are dying in the streets, kids
- 21:15Speaker 4: have no food, there's no healthcare. We need this, that
- 21:19Speaker 4: and the other. And now the newest things is they
- 21:22Speaker 4: want people to pay for even pre teen daycare and activities.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Right, it's crazy, But Vincent, great call, Thanks for calling.
- 21:34Speaker 1: We'll get back to this. No kings. They were also
- 21:36Speaker 1: seen waving Iranian flags. That's not a king, that's a brutal,
- 21:40Speaker 1: vicious dictator killing people. But they were waving communists flag.
- 21:44Speaker 1: No kings. Hey, we'll talk to the greatest columnist of all.
- 21:48Speaker 1: We'll talk to Michael Goodwin next on seven to ten WR.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Talking about everything you care about, marks and moons on WR.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Well, the best colmnist in America, Michael Goodwin every Sunday
- 22:03Speaker 1: and every Wednesday in the New York Post. He could
- 22:06Speaker 1: get all of his columns. They're all up on the
- 22:07Speaker 1: New York Post website. Michael Goodwin, how you doing?
- 22:11Speaker 3: Ah, good morning, Mark, Thank you.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Hey.
- 22:13Speaker 1: A great column yesterday about the bigotry against Israel with
- 22:18Speaker 1: something in the Middle East and why is it spread
- 22:20Speaker 1: all over the world and why has it infected the
- 22:22Speaker 1: Democratic Party.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:25Speaker 3: I think that's really the big issue. And you know,
- 22:30Speaker 3: the idea particularly I try to focus on here is
- 22:35Speaker 3: that President Trump was hoodwinked by Jews, especially Prime Minister Yahoo,
- 22:43Speaker 3: an American and Israeli Jews, into joining the Israel and
- 22:48Speaker 3: the attack on around. It's just an amazing accusation because
- 22:55Speaker 3: there's no truth to it. I mean, it's as so
- 22:59Speaker 3: there's no reason to attack Iran for American security, but
- 23:03Speaker 3: of course there is. We are the great Satan. We
- 23:08Speaker 3: are the ones that Iron has fledge to destroy with
- 23:12Speaker 3: this nuclear weapon. We are the ones whose soldiers has
- 23:16Speaker 3: been killing for the last forty five years. So this
- 23:20Speaker 3: idea that somehow we have no dog in the hunt,
- 23:26Speaker 3: it's crazy. It's it's a crazy idea, and I think
- 23:29Speaker 3: it is anti Semitism. It is only because there's people
- 23:35Speaker 3: who hate Jews or who hate Israel, same thing effectively
- 23:40Speaker 3: these days, and it's it's ignorant of the facts.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Well, or they're just lying. You know, they did the
- 23:48Speaker 1: same thing with the Iraq War. They blamed Israel. The
- 23:51Speaker 1: record shows Israel was actually opposed to the Iraq war
- 23:53Speaker 1: at the time. Try to stop us, they thought we're
- 23:55Speaker 1: going after the wrong target. But why do anti Semitism
- 24:00Speaker 1: though deep down, I mean the Jewish community has been
- 24:03Speaker 1: the biggest supporters of Democrats, why did they turn on
- 24:05Speaker 1: them with that?
- 24:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I think it's been building. I think
- 24:11Speaker 3: the hatred for Netta Yahoo has become sort of an excuse.
- 24:18Speaker 3: But you think back about Barack Obama right, trying to
- 24:22Speaker 3: basically unseat him, all of the willingness of the Obama
- 24:29Speaker 3: and Biden to ignore Israel's concerns about Iran, about Hamas,
- 24:35Speaker 3: about the Hooti's about Hezbola. So there has been I
- 24:39Speaker 3: think in the Democratic Party a string of recent leaders
- 24:44Speaker 3: who don't get it, who don't get the Iranian issue.
- 24:49Speaker 3: I mean, you think back mark of Obama sending around
- 24:53Speaker 3: those palets of cash, lifting the sanctions and making that deal.
- 24:59Speaker 3: And even John Kerry then who helped negotiate the deal,
- 25:04Speaker 3: was asked about Iran using some of that money to
- 25:09Speaker 3: fund Amas to whodies. Hessel said, yes, we know some
- 25:14Speaker 3: of them will end up there, but but we think
- 25:17Speaker 3: it's a good deal. I mean, how do you argue
- 25:21Speaker 3: when someone it's okay they're funding terrorists.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah, well, hey, Michael Goodwin, the No King's rally all
- 25:30Speaker 1: over the country Saturday. I guess it was very successful.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I'm looking around. We don't have a king, so I
- 25:34Speaker 1: guess they pulled it off.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it wasn't not what'sn't necessary? Right, we didn't
- 25:40Speaker 3: have a king before the rally and we don't have
- 25:43Speaker 3: one actor. I guess that that's called success among the Democrats.
- 25:48Speaker 3: But a mark on the issue of anti Semitism. I'd
- 25:53Speaker 3: like to raise this point that you know this idea
- 25:57Speaker 3: that Trump was hoodwinked, But what about the Arab States
- 26:03Speaker 3: are anallied Saudis, Kuwait, Cutter, Bahrain, the Emirates. They are
- 26:11Speaker 3: not contributing to the fight they but they are asking
- 26:15Speaker 3: America to make sure Iran can never attack them again.
- 26:21Speaker 3: So they're asking us to fight for them, and they're
- 26:24Speaker 3: asking Israel to fight for them. They have not lifted
- 26:28Speaker 3: a finger to defend themselves. They have been They have
- 26:33Speaker 3: all the top equipment, most of which Israel has that
- 26:37Speaker 3: we built and sold are given to them and they
- 26:40Speaker 3: don't use it. They're not part of this war. Well,
- 26:44Speaker 3: where's the outrage that we're being hoodwinked by the Arabs
- 26:49Speaker 3: and fighting for them. It's only the Quews who've got blamed.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Yeah, nobody pushed this harder on President Trump than the
- 26:57Speaker 1: Saudis did. But if we were to go to sleep
- 27:01Speaker 1: and wake up in two months, what will Iran look like?
- 27:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and they continue to push it. They can now
- 27:10Speaker 3: tell America don't stop. Don't stop. They don't want to
- 27:13Speaker 3: see fire. They don't want to stand as long until
- 27:18Speaker 3: Iran is smashed and the regime was overthrown. So they
- 27:22Speaker 3: have the same objectives we do. Alth they're asking us
- 27:26Speaker 3: to do the fighting until make that happened.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yeah. So once, let's say everything works out well in Iran,
- 27:33Speaker 1: you get a more moderate government, some freedom in Iran,
- 27:37Speaker 1: and then the next target is Cuba. Don't you feel
- 27:40Speaker 1: bad for these democrats now they all got to go
- 27:42Speaker 1: out and buy Cuban flags instead of the Iranian flags.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yeah, go down and wrap their arms around the Castro family.
- 27:52Speaker 3: You know, Cuba hats become a basket case. The Democrats again,
- 27:58Speaker 3: remember Barack Obama once of a baseball game of Castro
- 28:02Speaker 3: they go the waves. They got to right. I mean,
- 28:05Speaker 3: the Democrats foreign policy is one of weakness. And that
- 28:11Speaker 3: doesn't mean you have to support wars everywhere or picking
- 28:16Speaker 3: out their leaders, but it does mean you have to
- 28:19Speaker 3: put America first. You cannot have these these regimes that
- 28:24Speaker 3: are hostile to us, either you know, ninety miles away
- 28:29Speaker 3: or even half a world away, and you're just gonna
- 28:32Speaker 3: sit there wait for them to attack. Is that the idea?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Yeah? Well, it's a great column. You can read Michael
- 28:39Speaker 1: Goodman's column in the in the New York Post. Hey,
- 28:42Speaker 1: you know we've got a big problem in New York
- 28:44Speaker 1: with anti Semitic attacks and hate crime. Yes, but the
- 28:48Speaker 1: Mamdani people that come up with a great solution. They
- 28:51Speaker 1: changed the way they count them now, so the number
- 28:55Speaker 1: will appear lower. Isn't that ridiculous?
- 28:58Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:59Speaker 3: Yeah, they got their hands on them on the murder
- 29:02Speaker 3: ray and the burglary arrays and the shooting ray. I mean,
- 29:08Speaker 3: this is this is massaging. The numbers could cut the
- 29:11Speaker 3: results and what that you want?
- 29:13Speaker 1: Not the rail a result? Yeah? Well, Michael Goodwin, great talking.
- 29:17Speaker 1: You a great column. Everybody go read it. All its
- 29:19Speaker 1: columns are up on the New York Post website. Michael
- 29:22Speaker 1: Goodwin will do it again soon. Thanks for being.
- 29:24Speaker 3: With us my parish. Thank you, Mark.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Take care. Yeah, it's actually true. The you know, Mamdannie,
- 29:32Speaker 1: they're all through the campaign and lately it talks about
- 29:35Speaker 1: anti Islamic. It's not a problem in New York. Oh,
- 29:38Speaker 1: they've been one or two anti Islamic attexts, but there
- 29:41Speaker 1: have been thousands and thousands of anti Semitica texts. That's
- 29:44Speaker 1: where the problem is and you got to do something
- 29:46Speaker 1: about it. So this is not a joke. The mom
- 29:48Speaker 1: Donnie administration has got the number and they've lowered the number.
- 29:52Speaker 1: And the way they did that was they changed the
- 29:54Speaker 1: way they counted so it will appear lower. Uh. In fact,
- 29:58Speaker 1: now it could be the mos most obvious anti Semitic
- 30:01Speaker 1: hate crime in the world, but it can't be classified
- 30:04Speaker 1: as that unless it goes before a Mondani commission will
- 30:08Speaker 1: decide whether or not it is a hate crime. So
- 30:11Speaker 1: there's a lot of ways to massage the numbers. The
- 30:14Speaker 1: police departments have always done that in different ways, but
- 30:17Speaker 1: this is the most blatant, most obvious one I've ever seen. So, Hey,
- 30:22Speaker 1: we got a lot to get to in the next hour,
- 30:24Speaker 1: Lots to talk about. We'll get to JFK Junior. We'll
- 30:27Speaker 1: get to the ballroom controversy. The New York Times is
- 30:31Speaker 1: getting a lot of flak now, you know, it's just
- 30:34Speaker 1: used to be the paper of record. It used to
- 30:36Speaker 1: be such a respected newspaper. Now it's just considered fake news.
- 30:41Speaker 1: But if you look at this ballroom of investigation they did,
- 30:45Speaker 1: it is about the most corrupt fake news thing ever imaginable.
- 30:50Speaker 1: So we'll get to that coming up. Hey, make sure
- 30:52Speaker 1: you follow me on Instagram. It's Mark Simone NYC at Instagram.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Mark Simone NYC at Instagram. Hey, don't forget Buck and
- 31:01Speaker 1: Clay Noon Today. They do a wonderful show. You'll learn
- 31:04Speaker 1: a lot from them. Every day noon to three. Then
- 31:06Speaker 1: at three o'clock you got the most listen to radio
- 31:09Speaker 1: show in America, Sean Hannity. You got Jesse Kelly every
- 31:12Speaker 1: night at six and Jimmy Fayla really funny show, a
- 31:17Speaker 1: lot of great stuff you'll just laugh all through. It's
- 31:19Speaker 1: Jimmy Faling Now every night at nine on seven to ten.
- 31:22Speaker 1: WR Mister New York Mark Zimone. He's on seven ten
- 31:28Speaker 1: woor Hey, you know it's almost April. Now that happens,
- 31:34Speaker 1: it's gonna be April first on Wednesday, April Foolnesday also
- 31:38Speaker 1: pass over on Wednesday. So there's a fishing boat in
- 31:44Speaker 1: the Keys in Florida, Captain Jose Rodriguez, and he takes
- 31:47Speaker 1: clients out four to five times a week in the
- 31:50Speaker 1: Florida Keys Fishing Charter. That's a big thing to do
- 31:53Speaker 1: down there. So he takes these guys out and they
- 31:56Speaker 1: catch a fish. They reel in a fish. They could
- 31:59Speaker 1: tell this is really going to be something spectacular. Well
- 32:02Speaker 1: it turns out they reeled in a monster five hundred
- 32:08Speaker 1: pound swordfish. Now they're getting all kinds of press. They're
- 32:12Speaker 1: big superstars now in Florida. This is considered unbelievable and
- 32:17Speaker 1: they're all talking about how they're great they captured a
- 32:20Speaker 1: five hundred pound fish. But now I'm thinking about this,
- 32:22Speaker 1: what do you do with a five hundred pound fish?
- 32:24Speaker 1: How would you How would you even get that in
- 32:27Speaker 1: the boat. You know, your sofa, your couch is like
- 32:32Speaker 1: three hundred pounds, so this would be like reeling in
- 32:36Speaker 1: a sofa and a love seat. How would you even
- 32:39Speaker 1: get that in the boat? And how would you get
- 32:41Speaker 1: that out of the boat. It's five hundred pounds. Even
- 32:45Speaker 1: if you had four or five people, you can't lift
- 32:48Speaker 1: five hundred pound. You need a crane to get it
- 32:51Speaker 1: out of the boat. And what would you do with it?
- 32:55Speaker 1: You would cut it with a knife. I mean, it
- 32:57Speaker 1: would take your years to cut that thing up, five
- 33:00Speaker 1: hundred pound fish. But and what are you gonna do
- 33:03Speaker 1: with it? You're gonna stuff it and put it on
- 33:05Speaker 1: You can't put it on the mantle. You take up
- 33:07Speaker 1: the whole wall of your house. Absolutely ridiculous. Hey, we
- 33:10Speaker 1: got a lot to get to in the next hour. Oh,
- 33:12Speaker 1: our old buddy, Steve Shirrippa will be with us. You
- 33:15Speaker 1: love him on the Sopranos, on Blue Bloods, and he's
- 33:18Speaker 1: got a million projects going on right now. So we'll
- 33:21Speaker 1: talk to him in the next hour, and we'll get
- 33:23Speaker 1: back to No Kings and a whole lot more. We'll
- 33:26Speaker 1: get to JFK Junior, the real story coming up in
- 33:30Speaker 1: the next hour. So don't go away. Mark Simone here
- 33:33Speaker 1: every day ten to noon or listen anytime. Get the
- 33:36Speaker 1: podcast back after the news seven
