- 0:01Speaker 1: The Hodachy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy. Tune
- 0:04Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio Hodarky.
- 0:06Speaker 2: He is the need of it, of faith no more.
- 0:08Speaker 3: There on the Radio Hodarky Big Show this Monday afternoon.
- 0:12Speaker 3: The time is five twenty seven, which feels about time
- 0:14Speaker 3: for sport chat. Yeah, yeah, utterly magnificent weekend of sport
- 0:28Speaker 3: for New Zealand. Let's look at the cricket feels how
- 0:32Speaker 3: very very good. Indeed, two teams under the pump, given
- 0:38Speaker 3: no chance at winning their respect, you know, in one
- 0:41Speaker 3: case tournament and in this case test match.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Both teams triumphant.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I'll start with a Test match there, Mogi go on,
- 0:51Speaker 3: how absolutely sensational ratchin Ravendra. What a sensational news star
- 0:58Speaker 3: he is. He just looked all class.
- 1:00Speaker 2: It's hot and he's really hot.
- 1:05Speaker 3: I was stoked for Will Young, who actually has been
- 1:09Speaker 3: shoved from pillar to post in that team. He's played
- 1:12Speaker 3: in all sorts of positions. For him to hit the
- 1:15Speaker 3: winning runs and to go through that really difficult period
- 1:19Speaker 3: and that final innings, good on him. Matt Henry, the bowling,
- 1:23Speaker 3: the fielding. What isn't there to rave about?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Mate?
- 1:26Speaker 4: I don't see why you would want to start with
- 1:29Speaker 4: that Test match, given that the New Zealand woman.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Yes, they won the t twenty World Cups.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Surely you win a Tea twenty World Cup you get
- 1:38Speaker 4: to be spoken about first. Yes, fair enough, and so
- 1:42Speaker 4: I will New Zealand Palm Pine South Africa one hundred
- 1:46Speaker 4: and fifty eight for five. We set the target in
- 1:48Speaker 4: South Africa one hundred and twenty six for nine. At
- 1:50Speaker 4: one point though, they're looking pretty good South Africa, and
- 1:54Speaker 4: then we sort of took five wickets and pretty quick succession.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Of course, man of the Man which as we call
- 2:00Speaker 4: it in sports, merely Kerr did incredible What was actually
- 2:04Speaker 4: the player of the tournament Jason, Yes, and she top
- 2:08Speaker 4: scored with forty three runs from thirty eight and also
- 2:11Speaker 4: took a few wickets as well. An incredible accomplishment when
- 2:16Speaker 4: you consider just how shit they've looked for the last
- 2:18Speaker 4: couple of years.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Fair enough to you know, we've been saying on the
- 2:22Speaker 3: BAYC podcast that the White fans they just haven't been
- 2:25Speaker 3: playing well for a very very long time. And I'll
- 2:28Speaker 3: be honest with them, with your hoardy j gave them
- 2:30Speaker 3: no chance at all at all.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I don't think there's anybody on the planet that would
- 2:34Speaker 4: have given them a chance. And that's what makes us
- 2:37Speaker 4: this victory all the sweeter because there's there's no expectation
- 2:40Speaker 4: around it. Yes, and it was not unlike the World
- 2:44Speaker 4: Cup in twenty fifteen that we had here, if that's
- 2:48Speaker 4: the correct year that I'm thinking of, split between New
- 2:50Speaker 4: Zealand and Australia, where no one was a believer. But
- 2:53Speaker 4: as the tournament went on and the Black Caps got
- 2:56Speaker 4: went off to win, the ground swell of so port
- 3:00Speaker 4: from New Zealanders just overtook the country. And so was
- 3:05Speaker 4: the same with the woman's tea twenty side as they
- 3:08Speaker 4: progressed through this tournament. It was t twenty cricket fever
- 3:12Speaker 4: that was right across the country and indeed the world.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Well exactly exactly.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And I watched a lot of that tournament, you know,
- 3:20Speaker 3: and it's sort of reminiscent, you know, when our men's
- 3:24Speaker 3: tea twenties are one day side sorry went on that
- 3:28Speaker 3: fifteen year winning stretch of the World Cup, you know
- 3:31Speaker 3: what I mean. And no one expected that we'd win
- 3:34Speaker 3: the World Cup for three years, you know, for three
- 3:37Speaker 3: consecutive tournaments running, that's right, But we did and I
- 3:41Speaker 3: lump in this last Test match too in terms of
- 3:45Speaker 3: no one expected us to win it. No, that's right,
- 3:47Speaker 3: I honestly went, We're going to get an absolute hiding.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 3: So now that is five Test matches in a row
- 3:54Speaker 3: that New Zealand has won in India.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Unbelievable, unbelievable.
- 4:00Speaker 4: And you know a lot of people have been riding
- 4:02Speaker 4: off like you're Tim Soothie, Yes, you know, saying he
- 4:05Speaker 4: can't bowl, that he should be gone, and yet there
- 4:09Speaker 4: he is. He turns that all those haters, shuts them up.
- 4:13Speaker 4: If I can say that, Jay sure by scoring lots
- 4:15Speaker 4: of runs and getting bugger all.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Wickets pretty much.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but no, in all honesty, I just I love
- 4:23Speaker 3: the cricket, the woman. Congratulations to them. Sensational effort now.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Obviously will be.
- 4:29Speaker 4: We will be leading the charge to get a ticker
- 4:31Speaker 4: tape parade going in Auckland, Hamilton, Todunger, Wellington, christ Church, Dunedin, Nelson,
- 4:39Speaker 4: Gore and Stuart Island. Yes, we alway stary in that
- 4:42Speaker 4: campaign pretty quickly. I think Luxon's going to get right
- 4:45Speaker 4: and behind it. Everybody loves this team, loves his side
- 4:49Speaker 4: and as just blowing away by what they've done.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I think you and I.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Jas agree, but Pug will be interesting to get your
- 4:55Speaker 4: thoughts here.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Who did it better? The woman or the men?
- 5:01Speaker 5: So true man, and I've always been saying that.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Who's the best Poksan women or the men? You're right
- 5:06Speaker 2: if you had to choose, who was young men Brother.
- 5:09Speaker 1: The Darchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue.
- 5:13Speaker 3: And Kesey the Rolling Stones here on the Radio hod
- 5:16Speaker 3: Ache Big Show. That's Tuesday afternoon. The time is nine
- 5:19Speaker 3: minutes to six o'clock.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Fellows.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Have got some really interesting news that's come up from
- 5:24Speaker 4: my old website here that I look at. I don't
- 5:26Speaker 4: know where you guys get your news, but that's Whereggie
- 5:28Speaker 4: at mine. And it's about the government appointing a government observer,
- 5:36Speaker 4: so an agent for the government to sit on the
- 5:39Speaker 4: wellingin City Council whenever they have meetings, just ensure that
- 5:44Speaker 4: the councilors there are all working constructively. There's been a
- 5:48Speaker 4: lot of things going on and Wellington. It's been in
- 5:50Speaker 4: the news and I don't want to religate what's happening
- 5:52Speaker 4: down there, but I do want to say that it's
- 5:56Speaker 4: come to my attention around here at MZ and me.
- 5:59Speaker 4: I was actually in the urinal earlier on and Old
- 6:02Speaker 4: Boggs he sold it up to me and he said
- 6:04Speaker 4: just keep just watch your back, Mogie you and already
- 6:07Speaker 4: j just watched your back because it sounds like Pixie Campbell.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Our our content director here at Radio Herdeki is trying
- 6:14Speaker 4: to appoint a government observer to the herd Ache Big Show.
- 6:19Speaker 4: He's saying that we are the Wellington of radio. Sure
- 6:23Speaker 4: that we you know that we have open drug markets,
- 6:27Speaker 4: that there's you know, we're not utilizing our time as
- 6:31Speaker 4: best we can. We're laying steamers willy nilly, and he
- 6:35Speaker 4: thinks that we need to be kept on track.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah, look, I.
- 6:40Speaker 3: The key to success is is knowing you know when
- 6:44Speaker 3: you're not at your best and knowing when you're not performing,
- 6:47Speaker 3: and frankly we're not. You were telling me in the
- 6:50Speaker 3: break just before when I was away last week that
- 6:53Speaker 3: old Keysy dropped another another F bomb for example, and
- 6:56Speaker 3: a C bomb that is that is unbelievable and unacceptable.
- 7:02Speaker 3: And you know we have an obligation. You remember when
- 7:05Speaker 3: COVID had we were like the heroes. Now we kept
- 7:08Speaker 3: the nation afloat, we lifted them up. We put our
- 7:12Speaker 3: lives at rest day after day to entertain. Then, yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 3: you know, we cannot afford to allow our standards to slap.
- 7:19Speaker 3: So if Pisi, Campbell and bog Zy that we need that,
- 7:24Speaker 3: I'm all in.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah. And this is the thing as well, it's like
- 7:27Speaker 2: you were away for how long are a week? Yeah?
- 7:30Speaker 4: And the fact that Keysy could only manage one sea
- 7:33Speaker 4: bomb and one F bomb and five shows of radio
- 7:36Speaker 4: that's fifteen hours. Yeah, I did twenty three and forty seven.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah? Yeah, And I
- 7:41Speaker 4: just to feel like it's this younger generation who aren't
- 7:45Speaker 4: prepared to commit to what's required of them. And you know,
- 7:49Speaker 4: it just shows sort of a lack of love for
- 7:52Speaker 4: the show. Really absolutely. Now you go on holiday and
- 7:55Speaker 4: then he immediately goes on holiday that what does that
- 7:57Speaker 4: say to our listeners?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing. This will be interesting for the
- 8:01Speaker 3: listeners out there. You can grab how a show's going.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Oh thank you by the amount of F bombs that
- 8:05Speaker 3: are dropped at our peak when we were really humming
- 8:09Speaker 3: along and If and and Jeff and like, you wouldn't
- 8:11Speaker 3: believe we're one hundred and eighty one to ninety F
- 8:14Speaker 3: bombs a week.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah at the moment, what was that?
- 8:17Speaker 4: So you did he did ONEF bomb and one sea bomb? Yes,
- 8:21Speaker 4: and I was twenty eight and forty three. Yes, you know,
- 8:24Speaker 4: so the averages, the average as well goes up. So
- 8:26Speaker 4: if you and me are reefing and Jeff and back
- 8:28Speaker 4: and forth and we start competing, yes, well you've got
- 8:31Speaker 4: somebody on the other side of the desk like keasy.
- 8:33Speaker 3: It's sort of like, oh god, yes, sorry, Puck, So no,
- 8:36Speaker 3: you're all good.
- 8:37Speaker 5: I just wanted if a sea bomb counted for any
- 8:39Speaker 5: for more than one F bomb or do they count
- 8:41Speaker 5: as the same?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Is that sort of the it's got slightly more valuable
- 8:45Speaker 2: when you're only doing one of them. I mean, yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 2: what's the point?
- 8:48Speaker 6: I mean, how many F bombs is that?
- 8:50Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:50Speaker 5: Two and a half.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Well we'll see what happens, mate.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I'll give Boxy a call to night and just get
- 8:56Speaker 3: his thoughts and what he's thinking, so I canify that
- 9:00Speaker 3: with the feelings tomorrow.
- 9:02Speaker 5: Just in the meantime, Yes, what's for teen New Zealand
- 9:04Speaker 5: after six.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Pugs sign.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Apply to me Sticky Beef con Doom game.
- 9:19Speaker 1: We're the hod Archy, Big Show with Jason, Mike and
- 9:26Speaker 1: Keyzy Tune in week days and four on Radio Hodkey Stereophonics.
- 9:31Speaker 3: There on the Radio Hodarkey Big Show this Wednesday evening.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Now we were talking earlier in the show. Kesey's just
- 9:38Speaker 3: got back from being in Sydney where he once again.
- 9:43Speaker 7: Have heard this about a hundred times upgraded upgraded.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Well he got he got a free meal. His wife
- 9:49Speaker 3: didn't get it. He didn't share it with her.
- 9:51Speaker 2: When he went to Bali. They went to Bali.
- 9:55Speaker 3: He got upgraded to premium economy and did it and
- 9:59Speaker 3: left his wife an economy. And I just what an
- 10:03Speaker 3: absolute piece of work, Pugson, What an absolute piece of
- 10:07Speaker 3: work does that?
- 10:09Speaker 2: Jace. I'm a single man, as you guys know.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Wow, And I if I would never.
- 10:18Speaker 6: You would never do it, Okay, hang on, I wouldn't.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Even do it.
- 10:20Speaker 5: I I would rather be in the ship seats with
- 10:26Speaker 5: the person I love.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, same and sharing that together.
- 10:29Speaker 6: And at least then you're singing the same boat. It's
- 10:32Speaker 6: the same experience.
- 10:33Speaker 7: Yeah, cool, you're in the same It's an aeroplane, by
- 10:35Speaker 7: the way, not a boat. A Texas come through on
- 10:38Speaker 7: three four A three. I recently went to Fiji with
- 10:40Speaker 7: my wife for twenty seven years, requested an upgrade. Both
- 10:42Speaker 7: off of the upgrade, we couldn't sit together sit together, however,
- 10:45Speaker 7: so he stayed in the economy hard.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
- 10:50Speaker 6: It's a three hour flight to Fiji.
- 10:52Speaker 7: You couldn't be apart for three hours to enjoy a
- 10:55Speaker 7: free upgrade with amazing food and like better seating.
- 10:58Speaker 6: You can put your seat back afterwards.
- 10:59Speaker 2: You in three hours, So this is my view on it. Yeah,
- 11:03Speaker 2: you go, and it's genuine.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Here you go, you want a bit of fancy chicken breast,
- 11:10Speaker 3: or you get a slightly nicer salad.
- 11:14Speaker 6: It's way nicer. The meals are way better.
- 11:18Speaker 2: You'd get a slightly bitter meal.
- 11:20Speaker 3: It's more important to you than actually sitting with the
- 11:24Speaker 3: person that you're enjoying the journey with and making.
- 11:28Speaker 2: That a part of it, because there's not a lot.
- 11:29Speaker 3: You were starving to death, so you just went, Now,
- 11:33Speaker 3: I'm in a ditch here because they might have a
- 11:35Speaker 3: nice risotto or something that is that is just the
- 11:42Speaker 3: lowest form of life.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Tis the life?
- 11:47Speaker 5: Can I also say, if you're not going to share
- 11:50Speaker 5: in the experience in the ship seats with your partner,
- 11:54Speaker 5: you offer it to your partner. Thank you, Park out
- 11:57Speaker 5: of respect, out of love, and out of care.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I can barely look at you at the moment. Kezy
- 12:03Speaker 2: jase you off to your partner.
- 12:08Speaker 7: I offered it to my partner and she said, no,
- 12:10Speaker 7: you go once again, because she respects, don't. The part
- 12:16Speaker 7: we're missing out on this is that we bid for
- 12:18Speaker 7: her to have an upgrade. The reason I got an
- 12:19Speaker 7: automatic upgrade is because our Kodoo membership is under my name,
- 12:23Speaker 7: because I fly way more often than she does, and
- 12:25Speaker 7: so I got given a free upgrade.
- 12:27Speaker 6: Oh well, bid for your for you to join us. Okay,
- 12:31Speaker 6: that's great. How much do you want to bid? She
- 12:32Speaker 6: set the price. I was willing to go more higher
- 12:34Speaker 6: than that so I could sit with her.
- 12:35Speaker 7: Unfortunately she was unsuccessful, and then I said you can
- 12:37Speaker 7: have my seat, and she's like, no, it's.
- 12:38Speaker 3: All good that when she did it, she did.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Don't mix again when.
- 12:45Speaker 3: You when she didn't win that bed, you turned her
- 12:47Speaker 3: and said loser, and then you said code into your
- 12:53Speaker 3: little fancy Resotto joyed Tomato.
- 12:56Speaker 6: It was a savicho.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Your context.
- 12:58Speaker 5: While much appreciated that just given there does not absolve
- 13:01Speaker 5: you from your actions and your decisions on that plane.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Correct, Pugs, she gets the next up, just play a
- 13:07Speaker 3: song or something.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Kesey, I'm done here for.
- 13:09Speaker 1: A Hurdarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Gorilla's there on the radio Hodaki Big Show this Thursday afternoon.
- 13:18Speaker 3: The time is nearly four point thirty four. Now we
- 13:22Speaker 3: know how important sleepers to your mental and emotional and
- 13:25Speaker 3: physical well being, So let's have a bit of sleep chat.
- 13:29Speaker 6: It's sleep chat.
- 13:32Speaker 2: With Jason Mike.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Sweep chat, but it's also one and a half. Mowgi's
- 13:37Speaker 4: actually been having some sharkers lately.
- 13:41Speaker 8: Okay, one, you do that as well. I just always
- 13:55Speaker 8: picture you during that.
- 13:59Speaker 4: So so my daughter is a great sleeper generally speaking,
- 14:03Speaker 4: but over the last couple of nights, she's had her
- 14:05Speaker 4: aggression right, and she actually went back to doing that
- 14:08Speaker 4: thing that she was doing between the ages of two
- 14:11Speaker 4: and a half to three and a half, which is
- 14:13Speaker 4: she got up, she came out to the way, she
- 14:17Speaker 4: started screaming the house down. My wife went to make
- 14:20Speaker 4: her feel better. She told her to beat it, so
- 14:23Speaker 4: my wife walked away. So then she started screaming the
- 14:25Speaker 4: house down again. Mama mama, Mama, I want you, mama,
- 14:29Speaker 4: And I only went for about an hour this time,
- 14:32Speaker 4: and between the ages of two and a half to
- 14:34Speaker 4: three and a half, it would go for two hours
- 14:36Speaker 4: every single night without fail.
- 14:37Speaker 2: We would have to put up with it.
- 14:39Speaker 4: And I'm telling you, screaming the house down, I know it.
- 14:42Speaker 4: So that was a couple of nights ago. Then last
- 14:44Speaker 4: night she woke up at about one o'clock in the
- 14:47Speaker 4: morning and then she just couldn't get back to sleep.
- 14:48Speaker 4: You put it back to be edge, you get up,
- 14:50Speaker 4: put it back to be a get up, put it
- 14:51Speaker 4: back to be a get up, and she just would
- 14:53Speaker 4: not go back to sleep. Then we've got this trip
- 14:56Speaker 4: where we tell her, you know, it's the truth, which
- 14:59Speaker 4: is the fear going to come and visit her. If
- 15:01Speaker 4: she stays in bed all night, the fairies will bring
- 15:03Speaker 4: her a present in the morning. Any parents out there
- 15:05Speaker 4: do this at works, It's unbelievable. So I said that
- 15:07Speaker 4: to her because it had been a while since we'd
- 15:09Speaker 4: engage that.
- 15:11Speaker 2: So she didn't get up again.
- 15:12Speaker 4: But the trick with kids is they'll get up just
- 15:13Speaker 4: enough times to make sure that you've been woken up
- 15:16Speaker 4: enough times so that you can't go back to sleep
- 15:19Speaker 4: for about another hour and a half to two hours.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Managed to go back to sleep, get woken up at
- 15:23Speaker 4: five o'clock in the morning by the birds who sing
- 15:25Speaker 4: from five till six. I've got my ear plugs in
- 15:28Speaker 4: for that. Then go back to sleep at six. For
- 15:30Speaker 4: the dog next door that's just moved in, just moved in,
- 15:33Speaker 4: he gets let outside for a week at six thirty
- 15:36Speaker 4: bucks for five minutes, wakes me up. That's me done
- 15:38Speaker 4: for the day. So yeah, I'm loving it, man. Yeah, yeah, good,
- 15:41Speaker 4: I'm feeling fresh. Yeah.
- 15:43Speaker 7: When the fairies come, do they leave like a prison
- 15:45Speaker 7: or something?
- 15:46Speaker 2: Is that the idea? So they actually leave a note keysy?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Oh wow?
- 15:49Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, so they're amazing. They'll turn up whenever a
- 15:51Speaker 4: child is a need and is struggling with sleep, they'll
- 15:54Speaker 4: turn up, and they'll they'll reward the good sleeping patterns
- 15:59Speaker 4: of a young old much to the relief of their dying.
- 16:03Speaker 4: That's a great And you say a dog moved in
- 16:05Speaker 4: next door a dog just living on its own, Man,
- 16:08Speaker 4: I don't know how it signed the least.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Pretty well if it's living there.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's a nice area. Yeah, but this, yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 4: I don't know he's money. Yeah, I mean all he's
- 16:19Speaker 4: done is is just put sand and you know, sort
- 16:23Speaker 4: of dog litter all over the floors in every single room,
- 16:25Speaker 4: and then he comes outside does as well as I
- 16:27Speaker 4: don't know where his steamers a game, but anyway, he's
- 16:29Speaker 4: a mad bastard.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Nice, because you've been banging on too, Keysy about your
- 16:34Speaker 3: sleeps over the last couple of nights, so much so
- 16:37Speaker 3: that we had to delay our golf game today, Mogi,
- 16:40Speaker 3: because Keysy wanted to sleep.
- 16:41Speaker 7: And yeah, boy, well I got back from Sydney and
- 16:44Speaker 7: I was fairly tired after Sydney trip, right because there
- 16:48Speaker 7: was a fair amount of drink until he's responsibility yet
- 16:51Speaker 7: back and I'm gonna have a really nice big sleep
- 16:53Speaker 7: and be back into it. Woke up at three am
- 16:55Speaker 7: convinced someone was breaking into our house. Right this is
- 16:58Speaker 7: Wednesday night, that last night there was a Tuesday night.
