Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Danny and Cole 97.1 Hank FM. Good morning. How are
- 0:04Speaker 1: we doing today?
- 0:05Speaker 2: I feel pretty good.
- 0:07Speaker 3: I'm a little tired after staying up watching the Pacers
- 0:10Speaker 3: last night, but oh man, was it good to have
- 0:12Speaker 3: them back?
- 0:13Speaker 1: They won.
- 0:14Speaker 2: They won.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Okay.
- 0:15Speaker 2: They looked good. I thought they did. Everybody looked pretty good.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I watched the walk-off video of when Tyrese was walking
- 0:22Speaker 1: off the court and he's like, Crying kind of, but
- 0:25Speaker 1: like trying to not show that he's crying.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Kind of was in his post-game press conference.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Got to be really emotional.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Post-game interview, I suppose.
- 0:33Speaker 1: To love something that much and not be able to
- 0:34Speaker 1: do it for so long.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I don't blame him.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:37Speaker 1: So good to see him back out on the court.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Good to see a Pacers win as well. We are
- 0:42Speaker 1: here today to give you a chance to win. How
- 0:44Speaker 1: about $ 500 in new country cash? We did get a
- 0:47Speaker 1: winner yesterday. That means we reset the jackpot. Give you
- 0:49Speaker 1: another chance to win some money if you're a local listener.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Hankfm.com to get signed up.
- 0:54Speaker 5: But that is not the only thing we're giving away today.
- 0:56Speaker 5: So we've got more Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets. Those coming up
- 0:59Speaker 5: here in about 30 minutes or so, around 6.35. They've
- 1:03Speaker 5: got two shows coming to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in December.
- 1:07Speaker 2: A chance for you to win. Coming up. They did what?
- 1:11Speaker 2: The Milwaukee Brewers are in the World Series.
- 1:14Speaker 3: It is the first time since, like, the 80s that
- 1:17Speaker 3: I think they made the World Series. All I know
- 1:19Speaker 3: is my, like, Wisconsin family and friends are all very,
- 1:22Speaker 3: very excited the Milwaukee Brewers are in the World Series. Well,
- 1:26Speaker 3: back in 2015, a little over 10 years ago, the
- 1:29Speaker 3: Milwaukee Brewers sold what they called timeless tickets.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And they were $ 1, 000.
- 1:34Speaker 3: And fans could redeem them at any future game.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Uh-oh. Some fans kept those timeless tickets.
- 1:43Speaker 3: And are now redeeming them for the World Series, which
- 1:49Speaker 3: like both sides are kind of getting like bit in
- 1:52Speaker 3: the butt about it because the Brewers are like, OK, yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 3: we got to honor this. But here are like the
- 1:57Speaker 3: worst seats in the stadium. And the fans are like,
- 2:01Speaker 3: excuse me, I paid a thousand dollars for this in 2015.
- 2:04Speaker 3: You told me these weren't going to be bad seats
- 2:06Speaker 3: and I've got the worst seat in the stadium now.
- 2:09Speaker 3: But I would argue that Getting into the stadium is
- 2:13Speaker 3: a great thing anyway, because they were a thousand dollars
- 2:17Speaker 3: in 2015. And I'm on StubHub right now in the
- 2:21Speaker 3: standing room section for game one is twenty six hundred dollars.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Okay, and that, I thought it would be more, but
- 2:29Speaker 1: I don't understand baseball anymore, so I can't tell you
- 2:31Speaker 1: how much stuff should cost for the World Series. It's
- 2:35Speaker 1: 97.1 Hank FM with Danny and Cole. If you're looking
- 2:37Speaker 1: for Halloween plans, I want to remind you, Indiana State
- 2:39Speaker 1: Fairgrounds Expo Hall, Safe Night Halloween, next Saturday, 5 to 7.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Nice.
- 2:46Speaker 2: We've done this for a couple years now, and everyone
- 2:49Speaker 2: loves it. So food... And candy for the kids.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I always think about this, too. How many of your
- 2:55Speaker 1: Halloweens growing up did you have a costume? And then
- 2:59Speaker 1: Mother Nature is like, oh, my gosh, you're a ghost
- 3:02Speaker 1: with a coat.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Ghost with a coat.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 2: All the time.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 1: All the time. I don't know what the weather is
- 3:09Speaker 1: going to be like next weekend, but you don't have
- 3:10Speaker 1: to worry about it if you come to Safe Night Halloween.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So check out the details. HankFM.com for all of that information.
- 3:16Speaker 3: A new survey has found that half of us are
- 3:20Speaker 3: completely exhausted after this.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And it's not something that should be exhausting.
- 3:25Speaker 3: But when I read it, I thought, I think I
- 3:28Speaker 3: fall into this category.
- 3:30Speaker 2: And I think you might, too. But let's see. It's
- 3:33Speaker 2: coming up after a couple songs on Hank FM. He
- 3:35Speaker 2: clicked on it so you don't have to. It's Clickbait
- 3:39Speaker 2: Cole on Hank FM.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Half of us say that we come home from vacation
- 3:47Speaker 3: feeling completely drained. And like, how often are you, you know,
- 3:52Speaker 3: sitting there at work on a Thursday or whatever?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Like, man, I could use a vacation. And you're like, oh,
- 3:57Speaker 2: vacation's coming up.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Like, I could use this to kind of like relax,
- 4:00Speaker 3: reset and stuff like that. But then you go and
- 4:04Speaker 3: you come back and you're like Sunday night before you
- 4:06Speaker 3: go back to work.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I'm exhausted.
- 4:08Speaker 3: I have so much stuff I still have to do.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I have so much stuff I still have to do.
- 4:11Speaker 3: I got to do all the laundry that we took
- 4:13Speaker 3: with us. We traveled all day today.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I am drained.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Or you might be taking a trip like we take
- 4:21Speaker 3: a lot of times where it's not a sit and
- 4:24Speaker 3: relax vacation. It's a let's see how much stuff we
- 4:26Speaker 3: can see and do trip.
- 4:28Speaker 1: It is weak they always come back to like the
- 4:30Speaker 1: description right do you travel or do you vacation right
- 4:34Speaker 1: or like however you word it like basically like are
- 4:36Speaker 1: you one to go and just sit on a beach
- 4:38Speaker 1: somewhere like my husband would love to do or are
- 4:40Speaker 1: you like me and i'm assuming your wife correct um
- 4:43Speaker 1: who just wants to be like we're only going to
- 4:45Speaker 1: be here maybe one time we have to see.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Everything see everything we can.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And anything and everything we're going to go see.
- 4:50Speaker 3: A schedule and We have to be here at a
- 4:53Speaker 3: certain time and then there at a certain time.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Tomorrow morning, we're up at 5 a.m.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Because we have to catch this bus to this other
- 5:01Speaker 3: lookout thing or whatever.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
- 5:04Speaker 3: And by the end of it, you're exhausted and you
- 5:06Speaker 3: come back exhausted. So there's a new trend for 2027.
- 5:09Speaker 3: The top travel trend is called quiet travel. questing which
- 5:16Speaker 3: is a trip focused on peace unplugging and escaping your
- 5:19Speaker 3: obligations which sounds like the sit on the beach and
- 5:21Speaker 3: do nothing.
- 5:22Speaker 1: So i will not be quiet questing anytime soon well.
- 5:30Speaker 3: You just heard from morgan wallen there and there is
- 5:34Speaker 3: buzz that there is another post malone morgan wallen collab on.
- 5:38Speaker 1: The way I saw that Post Malone apologized to fans
- 5:42Speaker 1: for his new album taking as long as it did.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Is it going to be on a Post Malone album
- 5:46Speaker 1: or on a Morgan Wallen album?
- 5:48Speaker 2: I think a Post Malone album.
- 5:51Speaker 1: He's been working on that one. He postponed some of
- 5:53Speaker 1: his concert dates earlier this year to work on it.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And then fans are like, you never gave it to us, Posty.
- 5:58Speaker 1: yeah release the album i think it's always.
- 6:00Speaker 3: So interesting me like when i see these posts of
- 6:04Speaker 3: them working on an album and it's just like a
- 6:06Speaker 3: classic whiteboard with like everything written out that's what.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I'm looking at right now did you catch any of
- 6:11Speaker 1: the dally parton celebration i will always love you it
- 6:14Speaker 1: was on last night i saw kiri underwood performing i
- 6:18Speaker 1: saw brad peasley um i mean just insert reba reba
- 6:22Speaker 1: did a great job there to insert any name They
- 6:25Speaker 1: were there, and they all had different stories about Dolly,
- 6:27Speaker 1: and they all... were just like the best because they
- 6:30Speaker 1: weren't just like your normal, like, oh yeah, Dolly was
- 6:32Speaker 1: the nicest. It was like ways that she was nice.
- 6:36Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 6:37Speaker 1: Like they were like, oh yeah. If you went to
- 6:39Speaker 1: Dolly's house, like you're like, oh yeah, I'm going to
- 6:42Speaker 1: go to Dolly Parton's house already freaking out. And she'd
- 6:44Speaker 1: be like, oh, I made you these appetizers. And would
- 6:47Speaker 1: you like that? And little big town was sharing this
- 6:49Speaker 1: story where they were like, we complimented her on her
- 6:51Speaker 1: jeans because they were like embroidered. And she's like, oh,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I made these earlier today. And they're like, How are
- 6:57Speaker 1: you everything that we thought you were going to be?
- 6:59Speaker 3: Dolly's house to me, you know, like somebody who had
- 7:02Speaker 3: so much money, you would feel like you would walk
- 7:04Speaker 3: into their house.
- 7:04Speaker 2: You're like, I can't touch anything. I can't sit on anything.
- 7:07Speaker 3: But I feel like Dolly Parton's house was probably like Immediately,
- 7:10Speaker 3: like I have my shoes off and I'm laying down
- 7:13Speaker 3: on the couch.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I belong here in some way. The country music world, though. Morning,
- 7:17Speaker 1: another legend lost. John Anderson passing away peacefully in his sleep,
- 7:22Speaker 1: according to his family at age 71. Unexpected. No, no
- 7:26Speaker 1: cause of death disclosed. He was just at the Country
- 7:29Speaker 1: Music Hall of Fame ceremony on Sunday. Tim McGraw shared
- 7:32Speaker 1: a photo of the two of them together. So thinking
- 7:35Speaker 1: of Johnny Anderson's family and playing a little Johnny Anderson
- 7:38Speaker 1: for you this morning. Annie and Cole 97.1 Hank FM.
- 7:42Speaker 1: We got $ 500. Nice. In the new country cash jackpot.
- 7:46Speaker 1: We just want to hand you money.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:49Speaker 1: It doesn't take much to win either. I mean, you
- 7:51Speaker 1: just literally go to our website or if you're listening
- 7:53Speaker 1: in the app, you get signed up.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Win 500 bucks. And then my birthday is next week.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Just saying.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'll put an Amazon wishlist out there. You don't have
- 8:04Speaker 1: to think that hard. I'll let you know what I need.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's fine. It's really okay. Maybe you could use it
- 8:10Speaker 1: towards like whatever hobby that you have, because I saw
- 8:13Speaker 1: this question posted online. I thought we both probably have
- 8:17Speaker 1: a very specific answer to this. What is a hobby
- 8:20Speaker 1: that started small and inexpensive and has now gotten out
- 8:25Speaker 1: of hand? We'll see what you think about this. We'll
- 8:28Speaker 1: share our examples coming up. It's Annie and Cole on Hank.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Do you really want to know? Annie and Cole want
- 8:33Speaker 2: to know.
- 8:34Speaker 1: What is that hobby that started off kind of small,
- 8:37Speaker 1: kind of inexpensive? You're like, this is going to be fun.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And then now you're so deep into it and you've
- 8:43Speaker 1: spent so much money. You're like, What are we doing here?
- 8:46Speaker 1: This is supposed to be a small, inexpensive hobby. I
- 8:49Speaker 1: have a very specific example. I think you have a
- 8:51Speaker 1: very specific example. Do you want to go first or second?
- 8:54Speaker 2: I can go first.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Oh, I just ran a marathon.
- 8:57Speaker 3: So that hobby starts as like, oh, I have shoes.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Let me go outside and go for a run.
- 9:04Speaker 3: And then all of a sudden I need specific shoes
- 9:06Speaker 3: and I want insoles and You want like specific clothing
- 9:10Speaker 3: and I have like a specific running watch and the races,
- 9:14Speaker 3: they're not cheap either. And then if you're traveling to
- 9:17Speaker 3: the races, that's not cheap either. And all of a
- 9:20Speaker 3: sudden we're spending lots of money on, running which most
- 9:23Speaker 3: people think is a free.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Thing a free yeah free hobby uh well i have
- 9:28Speaker 1: a confession to make my husband rob and i are
- 9:29Speaker 1: picking up a new camper on tuesday yeah not yet
- 9:33Speaker 1: we do this every time we're like we're getting this
- 9:36Speaker 1: camper we're keeping this camper we started off in a
- 9:38Speaker 1: tent the tent quickly escalated to a pop-up then it
- 9:41Speaker 1: went to another camper then it went to another camper
- 9:44Speaker 1: and now an even bigger camper that we don't need
- 9:47Speaker 1: we don't need.
- 9:48Speaker 3: This but it's real cool and fancy.
- 9:50Speaker 2: It's real nice.
- 9:51Speaker 1: It's real nice. And I really want to pick it up.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And I'm mad at myself because the guy originally said
- 9:55Speaker 1: we could probably rush and get it done by Thursday.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And I was like, I don't want you to rush,
- 9:59Speaker 1: take time. And I was Thursday. And I'm like, I
- 10:00Speaker 1: want my new camper. I want to, I want to
- 10:02Speaker 1: be in it. I want to play in it, but
- 10:05Speaker 1: do I need it? No, you don't need it. We
- 10:07Speaker 1: were probably going to be fine in the other camper.
- 10:09Speaker 1: We probably would have been fine in the tent. But
- 10:11Speaker 1: here we are.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Annie and Cole. Text or give us a call. 317-663-9797.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Hank FM.
- 10:19Speaker 1: It always starts off so innocently. And then suddenly your
- 10:22Speaker 1: hobby that was just supposed to be a little bit
- 10:24Speaker 1: of fun is now costing most of your paycheck.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I already talked about running.
- 10:29Speaker 3: And we have multiple texts on the Armour Air text
- 10:32Speaker 3: line at 317-663-9797 that say running.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Cole would agree. Cole knows.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Running.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Running. The shoes, the gels, the clothes, the travel, the food. Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Like you didn't think like we kind of talked about it,
- 10:48Speaker 3: how much more I was eating. Like that's part of
- 10:51Speaker 3: your grocery bill now. It's like including all this extra food.
- 10:54Speaker 2: That I need.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Things you don't even think about. What's that hobby that
- 10:57Speaker 1: turned too expensive for you? Well, it's not mine.
- 11:01Speaker 2: It's my twins.
- 11:02Speaker 4: When they were younger, we started buying them Legos and
- 11:06Speaker 4: And now they're teenagers, and now they like the huge Legos.
- 11:10Speaker 4: And they're so expensive. And one of my boys just
- 11:13Speaker 4: bought one, and it was $ 850. Oh, my gosh.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Legos are not cheap.
- 11:19Speaker 4: He's into the Star Wars ones, and they're the most
- 11:22Speaker 4: expensive ones.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yes, they are. Yes, they are.
- 11:25Speaker 4: And the one he bought is about it's going to
- 11:27Speaker 4: retire at the end of the year. So he convinced
- 11:31Speaker 4: me that after it retires, it will be worth more money.
- 11:35Speaker 4: I mean, they have like a museum in their bedrooms
- 11:38Speaker 4: of all of these Legos. It's insane.
- 11:41Speaker 1: It starts so small, too.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, they were like $ 40.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Yeah, right. And even then you probably thought that was expensive.
- 11:51Speaker 5: Yes.
- 11:52Speaker 4: And now I'm like $ 800.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I'm like, we took that for the car?
- 11:57Speaker 3: Lord.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Thank you, guys.
- 11:59Speaker 1: All right, bye-bye. Chrisanne in Lebanon picking up TSO tickets
- 12:03Speaker 1: this morning. Another chance for you to win tomorrow morning.
- 12:05Speaker 1: You can still have time to get signed up. For
- 12:08Speaker 1: floor seats, HankFM.com, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Ghosts of Christmas Eve Tour
- 12:14Speaker 1: is going to be at Cambridge the 22nd. Two shows,
- 12:17Speaker 1: 3 and 7.30. You know we love that 3 o'clock show.
- 12:20Speaker 2: We love an early show.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Get out of there and you could go straight to dinner.
- 12:24Speaker 2: And then straight to bed. And then go home. And yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 2: it's not too crazy.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Things feel real great. Halloween is next weekend. I can't
- 12:34Speaker 1: believe we are that close. To Halloween. Does Reggie dress up?
- 12:38Speaker 1: Does your dog dress up?
- 12:40Speaker 3: We tried to, I tried to dress him up one
- 12:41Speaker 3: time and I like went and got him a costume
- 12:44Speaker 3: from Target. And it looks like it is like a
- 12:47Speaker 3: hand-me-down costume on him. Like he did not even get
- 12:50Speaker 3: close to fitting him.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Yes, that's always a problem.
- 12:53Speaker 2: And then the other one was too big.
- 12:54Speaker 3: It was like one of those, he was in between
- 12:55Speaker 3: sizes and I just gave up.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I took a picture and I returned it and that
- 12:58Speaker 2: was it.
- 12:58Speaker 1: If you're still looking for some ideas, I have some
- 13:01Speaker 1: interesting choices for your pets. Come up. Annie and Cole,
- 13:05Speaker 1: 97.1 Hank FM. I follow.
- 13:07Speaker 5: I like.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I share.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You know what? My favorite costume still to this day
- 13:13Speaker 1: is when we dressed our dogs up as us.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Oh, I still love that. And I still want to
- 13:21Speaker 3: do that.
- 13:21Speaker 2: As well because I think that's so great.
- 13:24Speaker 1: But maybe you're looking for a costume for your pets.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I did get out the bag of costumes that we
- 13:29Speaker 1: have in the closet for our dogs. We usually go
- 13:31Speaker 1: Halloween camping or not this year. And so... I just
- 13:35Speaker 1: got them out for fun. Our dogs hate putting on costumes,
- 13:38Speaker 1: so they immediately ran to the other room. If you're
- 13:40Speaker 1: looking for something for your pets, here are some interesting
- 13:44Speaker 1: costumes for pets, according to Google Trends Halloween Report.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Okay, I'm ready.
- 13:48Speaker 1: A centipede. Has that been popular for something this year?
- 13:54Speaker 1: I don't know. Dolly Parton.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Doggy Parton, sure.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that could work, right? Bullseye from Toy Story. Oh, yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 2: That's cute.
- 14:04Speaker 1: How about a Diet Coke?
- 14:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:07Speaker 2: You know what I saw the other day?
- 14:09Speaker 3: This reminds me of that parade that is in New York. Yes.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Of the dog costume parade.
- 14:14Speaker 1: So many great costumes.
- 14:15Speaker 2: It's amazing.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm like, how did you even come up with that idea?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Other things are making this list. Tow Mater from Cars.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm like, is Tow Mater still a thing? A roach
- 14:25Speaker 1: and a baked potato.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Annie and Cole, weekday mornings 6 to 10 on 97.1
- 14:31Speaker 3: Hank FM.
