- 0:59Speaker 1: we're calling this one, One with the Father. One with
- 1:04Speaker 1: the Father. We're going to be in John chapter 10,
- 1:07Speaker 1: verses 37 and 38. Are you ready? Let's pray. Father,
- 1:11Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus the Christ, I thank you
- 1:14Speaker 1: so much for right now, for this opportunity today, this
- 1:17Speaker 1: moment that we're having right now, this encounter with you,
- 1:21Speaker 1: Lord Jesus. I speak life. I speak hope. I speak faith.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I speak victory. I speak protection over every single person,
- 1:33Speaker 1: including myself, me, my wife, my family, our children, our
- 1:37Speaker 1: whole entire bloodlines from both sides that you, Lord God,
- 1:41Speaker 1: will cover us, complete us, continue to fill us with
- 1:45Speaker 1: your spirit, continue to fill us with a great measure
- 1:48Speaker 1: of faith for today. I pray that over every single
- 1:51Speaker 1: person that's listening or watching right now in the powerful
- 1:54Speaker 1: name of Jesus. that Lord God, you will continue to
- 1:58Speaker 1: be the perfect living example of perfection that we can
- 2:04Speaker 1: see on this side of eternity, hoping to see you
- 2:08Speaker 1: again in the next part of eternity. I pray, Lord God,
- 2:12Speaker 1: that you will be continuously glorified and magnified. Your will
- 2:16Speaker 1: and your purpose will be evident, clear to us that
- 2:19Speaker 1: we will know how to live this life out in
- 2:22Speaker 1: godliness and righteousness. Thank you, Lord God, that you give
- 2:25Speaker 1: us everything that we need to live a life in
- 2:28Speaker 1: abundance on this side of eternity. I pray this by faith,
- 2:32Speaker 1: knowing that you hear our prayers and you answer our
- 2:35Speaker 1: prayers according to your will and your perfect purpose for
- 2:39Speaker 1: our lives. So Lord God, I speak everything forward that
- 2:44Speaker 1: you have today in a victorious way by faith. Also,
- 2:48Speaker 1: Lord God, I take this opportunity to pray for my
- 2:50Speaker 1: nephew right now. Lord God, um, that has been AWOL
- 2:55Speaker 1: for a couple of weeks. I pray peace over his heart,
- 2:57Speaker 1: his life, protection over him right now in the powerful
- 3:00Speaker 1: name of Jesus. And I ask, Lord God, that you
- 3:02Speaker 1: would have mercy on him and that you have grace
- 3:05Speaker 1: upon his life and that he will be returned or
- 3:09Speaker 1: he will come back to the family. Lord God, and
- 3:13Speaker 1: although this is personal and private, I pray this by
- 3:16Speaker 1: faith and attach my faith with all those who have
- 3:19Speaker 1: faith in you, knowing that you are able and willing
- 3:23Speaker 1: to do what must be done according to your will
- 3:26Speaker 1: and purpose. In Jesus' holy name, I pray this by faith.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And all those who agree, we say amen to the amen.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Let's get into the scriptures. John chapter 10, 37 and 38.
- 3:37Speaker 1: You can share this out with as many people as
- 3:39Speaker 1: possible during the morning Devo. Even after we're live, amen,
- 3:43Speaker 1: share this out to as many people as possible. And
- 3:45Speaker 1: that'll help us really give the gospel out to more
- 3:50Speaker 1: people than we could ever imagine. We may never know
- 3:53Speaker 1: how many people get into this gospel. We never know
- 3:56Speaker 1: how many people we reach with the gospel. But we
- 3:59Speaker 1: can know that we had a part to play in
- 4:02Speaker 1: God's purpose and God's plan for all of his people. Right?
- 4:09Speaker 1: For all his people. He completes us. He knows us.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And he's willing to work with us daily. Amen? So
- 4:15Speaker 1: let's go to the scripture here. John chapter 10, verses
- 4:18Speaker 1: 37 and 38. Jesus said, I am not doing the
- 4:25Speaker 1: works of my father. If I am not doing the
- 4:29Speaker 1: works of my father, then do not believe me. So
- 4:33Speaker 1: Jesus himself is saying, listen, if I'm not it, if
- 4:36Speaker 1: I'm not doing the works of my father, then do
- 4:40Speaker 1: not believe me. But if I am doing them, even
- 4:46Speaker 1: though you do not believe me, believe the works so
- 4:51Speaker 1: that you may know and understand that the Father is
- 4:58Speaker 1: in me, and I am in the Father. See that?
- 5:04Speaker 1: Jesus is making it clear. He says, okay, you don't
- 5:07Speaker 1: have to believe me, especially if I'm not doing the
- 5:10Speaker 1: works of my Father. Very clear, right? There's no way
- 5:18Speaker 1: of you or me saying, well, Jesus never claimed to
- 5:21Speaker 1: be God. Jesus never claimed to be one with the Father.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Jesus never claimed to be doing the works of his Father.
- 5:27Speaker 1: We can't say that. We see it right here. And
- 5:30Speaker 1: he's also telling the people, listen, you don't want to
- 5:32Speaker 1: believe me. Go ahead. That's your choice. But you see
- 5:39Speaker 1: the works that I'm doing. You see who I'm doing
- 5:44Speaker 1: this work in, like whose name I'm doing it in
- 5:47Speaker 1: and whose power I'm doing it in. You see that, right?
- 5:51Speaker 1: It's because he wants us to understand that him and
- 5:56Speaker 1: the Father are one. Right? One with the Father, I'm
- 6:02Speaker 1: calling this one. This is an amazing scripture because Jesus
- 6:07Speaker 1: is presenting himself as one, not a part of the Father.
- 6:12Speaker 1: He's saying, I'm one with the Father. Hope you can
- 6:16Speaker 1: see that clearly in the scripture. Amen? So you have
- 6:19Speaker 1: to have the Holy Ghost. to understand what Jesus is saying.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Because if you just read this uninspired, you'd be like, well,
- 6:27Speaker 1: I don't see anywhere where he's saying he's God. Like
- 6:29Speaker 1: people will literally tell me and tell you, well, where
- 6:32Speaker 1: does it say in the Bible, in the New Testament,
- 6:35Speaker 1: Old Testament, that Jesus is God? And you read scriptures
- 6:37Speaker 1: like this, and by way of Holy Spirit, we know
- 6:41Speaker 1: exactly what the Lord is trying to say here. But uninspired, right?
- 6:45Speaker 1: If you don't have the Holy Spirit in you, the working,
- 6:48Speaker 1: living Holy Spirit in you, this would be hard. for
- 6:51Speaker 1: a lot of people to catch. And I understand that
- 6:54Speaker 1: because I was one of those people before Christ, right?
- 6:58Speaker 1: And you were one of those people before Christ who
- 7:01Speaker 1: these scriptures would just fly over our heads. And we
- 7:04Speaker 1: had no idea what Jesus was actually trying to say.
- 7:08Speaker 1: So Jesus wasn't asking people to believe in him. He
- 7:12Speaker 1: wasn't asking people to believe in him based on what
- 7:16Speaker 1: he said, right? Because it would have been simple. Oh,
- 7:21Speaker 1: Just believe what I'm saying, right? He could have been like, unfortunately,
- 7:27Speaker 1: like a lot of preachers today, they're kind of like
- 7:29Speaker 1: Han artists and manipulators. A lot of preachers are manipulating,
- 7:36Speaker 1: using the scripture to manipulate me and to manipulate you
- 7:38Speaker 1: or try to manipulate us. He wasn't that person. He
- 7:43Speaker 1: wasn't asking people to believe him simply because of what
- 7:46Speaker 1: he said. He literally pointed them to the works he
- 7:52Speaker 1: was doing, works that revealed his relationship with the Father. Reveal, revelation.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Jesus was revealing himself as doing the works of the Father.
- 8:09Speaker 1: It wasn't no pie-in-the-sky idea. It wasn't a concept. It
- 8:13Speaker 1: wasn't a construct. No, he was doing the works of
- 8:17Speaker 1: the Father. Jesus said, The Father is in me, and
- 8:22Speaker 1: I am in the Father. In other words, they were inseparable.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You see Jesus, right, and his works. You've seen the
- 8:31Speaker 1: Father and the Father's works. Although Jesus is not the Father,
- 8:35Speaker 1: the Father is not the Son, Holy Spirit is not,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you know, they're all three individual, but all one. Now,
- 8:43Speaker 1: ask me to mathematically explain that. I can't. Ask me
- 8:47Speaker 1: to simplify the idea of the holy triune God. I
- 8:50Speaker 1: can't simplify it. It's a God concept. It's a God idea.
- 8:54Speaker 1: It's a God thing. Amen. So if you don't have
- 8:57Speaker 1: Holy Spirit in you, continue to try to understand yourself.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's not going to work. Holy Spirit will reveal the truth.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Holy Spirit will reveal the triune God. Holy Spirit will
- 9:07Speaker 1: reveal these words of truth to be true in your
- 9:11Speaker 1: life and in my life. So there's a lesson, so
- 9:15Speaker 1: many lessons that we could get from this, right? Ask
- 9:21Speaker 1: yourself a question. What does your life reveal about the
- 9:27Speaker 1: God that you say and I say we follow? So
- 9:32Speaker 1: we say we follow the Lord Jesus. What does our
- 9:35Speaker 1: life reveal about that? And I'm not saying in a
- 9:39Speaker 1: perfect way. We live in a world that's broken. There's
- 9:43Speaker 1: going to be a lot of brokenness. We live in
- 9:46Speaker 1: a world that's fallen, so there's going to be a
- 9:48Speaker 1: lot of challenges and temptations. I'm not saying, oh, you
- 9:52Speaker 1: have to be perfect. You say you're a Christian, you
- 9:54Speaker 1: believe in Jesus, you have to follow him perfectly. That's impossible.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Jesus knows that. God knows that right holy spirit definitely
- 10:02Speaker 1: reminds us that if it wasn't for the perfecting work
- 10:06Speaker 1: and the finishing work of the lord jesus christ in
- 10:09Speaker 1: our lives we wouldn't have a chance but with holy
- 10:13Speaker 1: spirit in us living through us we have a chance
- 10:17Speaker 1: not only a chance we could live a life of
- 10:19Speaker 1: godliness But what does your life reveal about the God
- 10:23Speaker 1: you say you follow? Right? People are not always going
- 10:27Speaker 1: to listen to what I'm saying. People are not always
- 10:30Speaker 1: going to listen to what you say about your faith.
- 10:34Speaker 1: But they will definitely 100% notice how you live it out. Right? Okay?
- 10:41Speaker 1: They might see you mess up, but they want to
- 10:43Speaker 1: see how are you going to jump back in the game.
- 10:48Speaker 1: How are you going to get back up? Right? You
- 10:51Speaker 1: might be, you know, in a wrong crowd one day.
- 10:54Speaker 1: And because you're surrounded by the wrong crowd, the Bible says,
- 11:00Speaker 1: if you surround yourself, I'm paraphrasing, if you surround yourself
- 11:03Speaker 1: with the wrong people, you might be doing the wrong things. Right? Paraphrasing.
- 11:08Speaker 1: You see it in the scriptures. You know, bad company
- 11:11Speaker 1: corrupts good morals, the Bible says. So we have to
- 11:14Speaker 1: watch who we're with. You know, watch what we're following,
- 11:17Speaker 1: who we're following. It doesn't mean that you can't be
- 11:21Speaker 1: with people that are not believers. I mean, Jesus was
- 11:23Speaker 1: among unbelievers a lot, right? But he didn't do what
- 11:27Speaker 1: unbelievers were doing. He was surrounded by bad company. But
- 11:32Speaker 1: since he was God, the God man, his morality was
- 11:37Speaker 1: not corrupted, right? His works were continually from God. He
- 11:42Speaker 1: is the perfect reflection of the Father. Amen. So I'm
- 11:48Speaker 1: not talking about that. Jesus was surrounded by sinners, yet
- 11:51Speaker 1: Jesus himself never sinned. But when it comes to us,
- 11:55Speaker 1: what are we showing people? We say we serve the Lord,
- 11:58Speaker 1: and I think this is the reason why a lot
- 12:01Speaker 1: of people are afraid to come forward with their faith,
- 12:06Speaker 1: because we all know that we're not going to get
- 12:07Speaker 1: it right all the time. People really take that to heart, like,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I can't be a hypocrite. I used to say that too,
- 12:14Speaker 1: when people used to introduce me to the gospel and
- 12:17Speaker 1: He said, no, I'm not going to do that. I
- 12:19Speaker 1: don't want to be a hypocrite. I don't want to
- 12:20Speaker 1: be going to church and then leaving the church and
- 12:23Speaker 1: doing the same old, same old. That's because at that
- 12:25Speaker 1: point in my life, I didn't understand that it wasn't
- 12:28Speaker 1: what I was actually able to do. It was about
- 12:32Speaker 1: what Holy Spirit God was able to do in my
- 12:34Speaker 1: life and through my life. And he could do the
- 12:36Speaker 1: same thing in your life and through your life as well.
- 12:39Speaker 1: He can move. So when you walk in love, forgive
- 12:44Speaker 1: when it's difficult. When you show grace, when you serve others,
- 12:49Speaker 1: when you stand for truth, and when you trust God
- 12:53Speaker 1: during the most difficult seasons of your life, your life
- 12:58Speaker 1: will start becoming a testimony, a testimony of what God
- 13:01Speaker 1: can do in anybody who says yes to him, right?
- 13:06Speaker 1: You start developing a testimony. People will start looking at
- 13:09Speaker 1: your life and be like, well, Sam don't always get
- 13:12Speaker 1: it right. He's not perfect for sure. He doesn't have
- 13:15Speaker 1: a perfect marriage, a perfect family. He's not a perfect husband.
- 13:19Speaker 1: He's not a perfect father. He's not a perfect brother.
- 13:21Speaker 1: He's not a perfect son. But something about Sam continues
- 13:26Speaker 1: to reveal what God can do in a life of
- 13:29Speaker 1: a person who just said yes. Simple. You don't have
- 13:32Speaker 1: to put all this pressure on yourself and say, man,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I got to get this right 100% all the time.
- 13:38Speaker 1: That's too much. You'll be doing way too much to
- 13:43Speaker 1: try to be a perfect born-again believer. What we need
- 13:47Speaker 1: to do sometimes is just show up, testify of who
- 13:51Speaker 1: God is in our hearts and our life, testify of Jesus,
- 13:55Speaker 1: how he saved us, how he rescued us, and people
- 13:57Speaker 1: will see the change in your life. They'll notice the
- 14:01Speaker 1: bad things, but they'll notice the good things too, right?
- 14:05Speaker 1: Sister Velvet, I see you. God bless you. It's good
- 14:07Speaker 1: to see you in the morning, my sister, my friend.
- 14:10Speaker 1: So stay connected to the Father. No matter what you're
- 14:13Speaker 1: going through, right? Stay connected. Hold on to the promises
- 14:18Speaker 1: of God over your life and over my life. He's
- 14:20Speaker 1: not done with us yet. His promises are all good.
- 14:24Speaker 1: His promises are all yea and amen. So you don't
- 14:27Speaker 1: have to prove yourself to anyone. I always say this. Listen,
- 14:31Speaker 1: you don't have to prove yourself to me. When people
- 14:33Speaker 1: are trying to, you know, hand me a business card saying,
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm apostle this, I'm bishop that, and this, that, and
- 14:38Speaker 1: the third. And I run this church and this ministry.
- 14:41Speaker 1: So they're trying to show all the accolades. And I'm like,
- 14:45Speaker 1: what is your name again? Right? Like when we introduce ourselves,
- 14:49Speaker 1: we don't have to introduce what we do. We should
- 14:52Speaker 1: just introduce ourselves of who we are. Start with your name, right?
- 14:57Speaker 1: You don't have to prove yourself to anyone. If Jesus
- 15:00Speaker 1: lives inside of you and Jesus lives inside of me,
- 15:03Speaker 1: we're going to know that somewhere along the line, amen,
- 15:07Speaker 1: He's going to be glorified in our hearts and our lives,
- 15:09Speaker 1: through our lives and what we say, what we do.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And also because we live in a fallen, broken world
- 15:14Speaker 1: and we're dealing all battling the flesh. We all have
- 15:17Speaker 1: the flesh and the flesh is always at war with
- 15:20Speaker 1: the spirit. We know there's going to be times of
- 15:24Speaker 1: mess ups. But thank God for his grace and his
- 15:28Speaker 1: mercy that when we mess up, he could take that
- 15:31Speaker 1: mess and turn it into a message for others to
- 15:33Speaker 1: see that although We might not always get it right,
- 15:38Speaker 1: but there's one who lives inside of us who always
- 15:41Speaker 1: gets it right. There's one who lives inside of us
- 15:43Speaker 1: that doesn't sin, that doesn't lie, that doesn't fail. We
- 15:48Speaker 1: have someone who lives inside of us that leads people
- 15:51Speaker 1: and leads us into all truth. So if you continue
- 15:55Speaker 1: to hold on to the Lord, continue to seek truth,
- 15:57Speaker 1: continue to seek love and strive in the things of God,
- 16:02Speaker 1: we're going to get to a place where people could
- 16:04Speaker 1: testify about us. And they will be our witness or
- 16:08Speaker 1: witness that God is doing something amazing in a life
- 16:13Speaker 1: that says yes to him, right? So when Jesus said
- 16:17Speaker 1: he's one with the Father, and if Jesus sent us
- 16:19Speaker 1: Holy Spirit God, that's one with the Father, amen? We
- 16:23Speaker 1: eventually will become one with the Father. Although people might
- 16:27Speaker 1: think that's progressive Christianity, what I just said, that eventually
- 16:31Speaker 1: this will happen. I'm just saying that when God sets
- 16:33Speaker 1: us apart, and he sanctifies us, right? He's doing a
- 16:37Speaker 1: work in our hearts and our lives daily. It's not
- 16:40Speaker 1: a one and done situation that you pray a prayer,
- 16:43Speaker 1: you say you're born again, and that's it. No, it's
- 16:46Speaker 1: an actual progress that's going on. God is transforming us,
- 16:52Speaker 1: renewing us, restoring us. He gave us a new mind
- 16:55Speaker 1: and a new heart. We don't have that desperately wicked
- 16:59Speaker 1: heart anymore when we're born again. What we're dealing with
- 17:03Speaker 1: that seems like we still have that same heart. It's
- 17:05Speaker 1: not the heart. It's not the mind. It's the flesh.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Our own sinful, evil desires, the Bible says, I think
- 17:12Speaker 1: in the book of James, that leads us away or
- 17:15Speaker 1: we stray away from the God who loves us. So
- 17:18Speaker 1: stay connected to the Father and let your life speak, right?
- 17:22Speaker 1: Not just by word or deed, just let your life speak.
- 17:25Speaker 1: When your life starts speaking louder than your actions, amen?
- 17:30Speaker 1: Or when your actions are speaking louder than What you say,
- 17:33Speaker 1: I should say. People will understand what the Lord is
- 17:37Speaker 1: doing in your life individually. I was watching a couple
- 17:41Speaker 1: of men before I got saved for like two, three
- 17:44Speaker 1: years almost. And I was just watching their lives because
- 17:47Speaker 1: they kept on preaching the gospel to me. Listen, you
- 17:50Speaker 1: got to follow Jesus. So I said, other than what
- 17:53Speaker 1: they were saying, let me sit back and watch their lives.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Their lives were impressive enough to me to see that
- 18:01Speaker 1: they were walking differently. They weren't doing the same old,
- 18:04Speaker 1: same old like every other person was doing. They weren't
- 18:06Speaker 1: doing the religious things that every other religious person was doing.
- 18:09Speaker 1: They were actually living the life that they were claiming
- 18:14Speaker 1: to me that they were living. Although there was areas
- 18:19Speaker 1: that were not 100% that I've seen, but that wasn't
- 18:24Speaker 1: enough for me to say, oh, they're not real. They're
- 18:26Speaker 1: not real born-again brothers. These brothers were real enough in
- 18:30Speaker 1: my life to... Have me think, because they were being
- 18:34Speaker 1: used by God, to have me think of the possibility
- 18:37Speaker 1: of me becoming a son of the living God. Amen?
- 18:40Speaker 1: And you probably know people like that, too. God bless,
- 18:43Speaker 1: Brother Maurice. It's good to see you on the Morning Diva.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Good morning to you, my bro and my friend. So,
- 18:50Speaker 1: if someone only watched your life today, what would they
- 18:55Speaker 1: learn about you? Or what would they learn about God
- 18:59Speaker 1: in you? well, what would they learn about God? If
- 19:01Speaker 1: someone was watching you and me today, what would they
- 19:05Speaker 1: learn about God, right? And this is not to put
- 19:09Speaker 1: like a guilt trip on us and say, well, it
- 19:12Speaker 1: depends on how we're living and that's how they'll see God.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Not necessarily. But we have these little pockets of life
- 19:19Speaker 1: and these little moments that we meet people. And if
- 19:22Speaker 1: you just show kindness, if you just smile, if you
- 19:25Speaker 1: just listen sometimes, You have eye contact when you're speaking
- 19:29Speaker 1: to somebody. Those little meetings, amen, might be opportunities for
- 19:34Speaker 1: people to see the love of God expressed through the
- 19:38Speaker 1: man or woman of God, right? The child of God
- 19:42Speaker 1: can show the love of God, the mercy of God,
- 19:44Speaker 1: the grace of God in those little pockets of time
- 19:47Speaker 1: that God allows us to share. Sometimes we don't even
- 19:51Speaker 1: have to say that we're born-again believers. We could just
- 19:54Speaker 1: walk into a community, walk into a retail store, walk
- 19:59Speaker 1: into the grocery store, something like that, and just be
- 20:02Speaker 1: who God called you to be. It's not that difficult.
- 20:06Speaker 1: We don't have to act a part. We just have
- 20:08Speaker 1: to be a part of who we're a part of.
- 20:11Speaker 1: We're a part of the kingdom of God, and we
- 20:13Speaker 1: are one with the Father because Jesus lives in us
- 20:16Speaker 1: by way of Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is
- 20:18Speaker 1: one with the Father. Jesus is one with the Father, right?
- 20:21Speaker 1: So we have everything we need to testify of who
- 20:26Speaker 1: we serve. Think about it. It's not a work that
- 20:29Speaker 1: we could try to polish up. I'm real skeptical about
- 20:35Speaker 1: a polished gospel in a polished church or polished ministry
- 20:42Speaker 1: that everything's lined up so perfectly, that challenges my thinking
- 20:47Speaker 1: because I'm like, what world are they living in? Are
- 20:49Speaker 1: they living in this world or are they living in
- 20:51Speaker 1: some other world that I don't know about that everything
- 20:54Speaker 1: has to be perfect? Church chairs have to be measured perfectly.
- 20:59Speaker 1: This has to be done perfectly. Only a certain group
- 21:03Speaker 1: of people can minister in that church because those are
- 21:07Speaker 1: the supposedly called out ones for that. You know what
- 21:10Speaker 1: I mean? If it's too polished, it looks to me
- 21:14Speaker 1: like it's AI, right? Because AI looks too polished. AI,
- 21:19Speaker 1: the music especially, sounds too good. Now we can really
- 21:23Speaker 1: tell that's AI. It sounds too good. So the same
- 21:28Speaker 1: as people that I see that are trying to be
- 21:31Speaker 1: too perfect, I'm not buying that. Sunday after Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday,
- 21:37Speaker 1: whenever they minister, they show up and it's like their
- 21:41Speaker 1: life is 100% perfect. When I meet people like that,
- 21:46Speaker 1: first of all, I'm not convinced that no one is
- 21:49Speaker 1: 100% every time. But they're saying they are and I
- 21:52Speaker 1: don't know why. It's like they're trying to prove something
- 21:55Speaker 1: to people and that's not it. But when you meet
- 21:59Speaker 1: genuine leaders, pastors, apostles, when you meet genuine prophets, when
- 22:04Speaker 1: you meet genuine evangelists and teachers of the Word of God,
- 22:09Speaker 1: they'll tell you themselves, listen, I don't have it all together,
- 22:12Speaker 1: but what I do have is the Lord who has
- 22:14Speaker 1: it all together. And that Lord, that Father, that Holy
- 22:18Speaker 1: Spirit lives within me. Right? And then we take it
- 22:22Speaker 1: from there. The most impressive people that I have met
- 22:26Speaker 1: so far in my Christian walk are people who allow
- 22:29Speaker 1: themselves to be used by God. Right? It's like Wow.
- 22:35Speaker 1: When they preach the word, they're on point. Then when
- 22:38Speaker 1: they start making commentary, it could be like me. I
- 22:41Speaker 1: start making commentary, I could slide off or drift off
- 22:45Speaker 1: a little bit and go my own way. It happens
- 22:47Speaker 1: to anyone. So to safeguard myself and people who do
- 22:52Speaker 1: this safeguard themselves by sticking to the scriptures, reading the
- 22:56Speaker 1: word of God, letting Holy Spirit teach through his word. Amen.
- 23:00Speaker 1: So that way we can't miss. You want to learn
- 23:04Speaker 1: how to pray the way God wants us to pray?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Read his word and pray his word back. Right? You
- 23:09Speaker 1: can't miss. But of course, by way of Holy Spirit,
- 23:13Speaker 1: he'll give us what to say. He'll show us how
- 23:15Speaker 1: to say it, how to do it. Amen? If we
- 23:18Speaker 1: follow the lead of Holy Spirit, he promises us to
- 23:23Speaker 1: lead us into all truth. Not to all tradition, not
- 23:28Speaker 1: to all religion, but to all truth. Jesus says, don't
- 23:32Speaker 1: believe me If I'm not doing the works of my father,
- 23:35Speaker 1: don't believe me. Like who other than Jesus would say this?
- 23:40Speaker 1: What other religion or what other spiritual leader can say
- 23:44Speaker 1: what Jesus just said? No. A lot of religions out
- 23:48Speaker 1: there saying, follow the guru, follow the prophet, follow these
- 23:52Speaker 1: people because they get it right all the time. Jesus
- 23:55Speaker 1: himself said, if I'm not doing the works of my father,
- 23:59Speaker 1: then do not believe in me. You see that? Jesus
- 24:03Speaker 1: is so confident in who he is that he's even
- 24:06Speaker 1: telling the people, if you don't see me doing the
- 24:08Speaker 1: works of God, then don't follow. Plain and simple. It's
- 24:11Speaker 1: just like that. But he says, if you see me
- 24:16Speaker 1: doing them, the works of the Father, even though you
- 24:20Speaker 1: don't believe in me, that I'm the Messiah, this is
- 24:23Speaker 1: what Jesus is telling the people, believe in the works. Why?
- 24:27Speaker 1: So that you may know, not only know, but know
- 24:31Speaker 1: and understand that That the Father is in me and
- 24:34Speaker 1: I am in the Father. He's showing the oneness of
- 24:37Speaker 1: who he is with Yahweh. Right? I can't say that,
- 24:42Speaker 1: but Jesus can. He's showing, well, I could possibly say,
- 24:47Speaker 1: if you see me acting crazy, don't follow my craziness.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Follow the gospel message that I preached for years. Don't follow,
- 24:57Speaker 1: like if I start moving different in the wrong direction,
- 25:01Speaker 1: don't follow me. Amen? But when Jesus says it, it
- 25:05Speaker 1: holds way more weight than when I'm saying it. You
- 25:07Speaker 1: get what I'm saying? And you can say that to
- 25:09Speaker 1: people too. Listen, when you see me messing up, don't
- 25:11Speaker 1: think that's because God is messing up. That's only because
- 25:15Speaker 1: I'm a human and I'm messing up. Right? Just read
- 25:19Speaker 1: the scriptures, point people to the Lord Jesus, point people
- 25:23Speaker 1: to his word, and you won't miss because God doesn't
- 25:27Speaker 1: fail us. Jesus never failed us. Holy Spirit is always
- 25:31Speaker 1: telling the truth. So we need to be followers of
- 25:35Speaker 1: the Lord, believers and followers, and point people to the
- 25:39Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ. You will never miss when we point
- 25:44Speaker 1: people to the one who is almighty, all-knowing, omnipresent, full
- 25:51Speaker 1: of justice, grace, and mercy, and the God who loves
- 25:54Speaker 1: because he is love. You won't miss. Now it's up
- 25:57Speaker 1: to the person that you're sharing this with or you're
- 26:00Speaker 1: directing to the Lord It's up to them whether or
- 26:02Speaker 1: not they're going to receive that as true or not,
- 26:04Speaker 1: whether they're going to believe in Jesus or not, or
- 26:06Speaker 1: they receive or reject Jesus. That's up to them. But
- 26:10Speaker 1: our part to play is to show that Jesus is
- 26:13Speaker 1: one with the Father and the Father is one with him.
- 26:15Speaker 1: So therefore, Jesus is the perfect representation of who God
- 26:20Speaker 1: is when he came in the form of a man,
- 26:22Speaker 1: the Lord Jesus Christ. God the Father didn't create God
- 26:27Speaker 1: the Son. God the Father sent his only begotten Son
- 26:30Speaker 1: to this world So that whoever believes in him should
- 26:33Speaker 1: not perish but have everlasting life. John chapter 3 verse 16.
- 26:37Speaker 1: We see that, right? There's a lot more here. But,
- 26:44Speaker 1: you know, I shared a declaration right before I went
- 26:47Speaker 1: live here. And the declaration that we can make today
- 26:51Speaker 1: is I am connected to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Declare that. How are you connected? How are you Christians
- 27:00Speaker 1: thinking today? We're saying, why do Christians say that you
- 27:02Speaker 1: guys know God and you're connected to the Father? Because
- 27:06Speaker 1: Jesus said it. I am connected to God through Jesus Christ.
- 27:11Speaker 1: My words and actions will reflect the Father's love, will
- 27:17Speaker 1: reflect the Father's truth and character. I will let my life,
- 27:21Speaker 1: this is a declaration, I will let my life be
- 27:24Speaker 1: a testimony of who He is. It's the letting part
- 27:30Speaker 1: that sticks out to me. Let God be God in
- 27:33Speaker 1: your life and in my life. Let God work through you.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Let God work through me, right? And you'll see the
- 27:40Speaker 1: difference of the will that you have and that I have.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Once we allow God to do his thing, willfully allow
- 27:49Speaker 1: God to do his thing. Because you notice God never
- 27:51Speaker 1: will force you to have his way through you or
- 27:54Speaker 1: through me. He wants us to allow him to work
- 27:57Speaker 1: through us That way we can experience and others will
- 28:00Speaker 1: see and experience the works of the Father through us.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Jesus said, if I'm not doing the works of my Father,
- 28:07Speaker 1: then do not believe in me. To me, that's next level.
- 28:12Speaker 1: That's next level confidence. He's like, what you see is
- 28:17Speaker 1: what you get. I'm not doing the works of God.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Don't believe me. But he says, if I am doing them,
- 28:23Speaker 1: even though you don't believe me, believe the works of
- 28:28Speaker 1: Believe the works, the signs, the miracles, the wonders, the
- 28:31Speaker 1: prophetic word, the completion of Moses' law. When you see
- 28:36Speaker 1: the perfection in Jesus, then you're going to have to
- 28:39Speaker 1: be honest with yourself and say, is he the Messiah?
- 28:42Speaker 1: Is he the Christ? Is he the God-man that everyone's
- 28:45Speaker 1: been talking about for centuries? Right? After a while, you're
- 28:49Speaker 1: going to run out of excuses. If you're honest, you're
- 28:51Speaker 1: going to be like, yes, he is exactly who he
- 28:53Speaker 1: says he is. He's the Lord Jesus Christ. the Mashiach McGee,
- 28:57Speaker 1: the anointed one. Amen. The completion of the law. And
- 29:01Speaker 1: he's the ultimate judge. And he's coming back with new
- 29:04Speaker 1: heaven and new earth. But today he wants to save
- 29:07Speaker 1: you and give you a born again experience. But I'm
- 29:09Speaker 1: out of time. I hope you have a powerful, wonderful weekend.
- 29:14Speaker 1: From the time of this recording, it's Friday. So the
- 29:17Speaker 1: weekend is upon us. God bless you all. I hope
- 29:20Speaker 1: you're blessed today. I hope you resemble the Lord Jesus
- 29:23Speaker 1: Christ today. Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself
- 29:26Speaker 1: to do that. God bless you all. God keep you all.
- 29:29Speaker 1: And remember always that God is good. Peace.
