- 1:08Speaker 1: Who you know?
- 1:09Speaker 4: I think it's the lady with a sign that says
- 1:13Speaker 4: the new Gods are coming. She lives under a lean
- 1:16Speaker 4: to with the curve. Curve of the shoot is on
- 1:19Speaker 4: the outside as hey, new gods are coming, New Gods
- 1:25Speaker 4: are coming.
- 1:27Speaker 2: He's shouting and screaming.
- 1:28Speaker 4: As you walk by, her eyes go white, pupils and
- 1:34Speaker 4: iris is gone. Her voice changes, It grows deeper, broader, ethereal,
- 1:42Speaker 4: she says.
- 1:43Speaker 2: To you in a voice not her own.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Cursed one, seek the smell of communion with the Lady
- 1:51Speaker 4: of Light. The city of New Babbel breeds with an
- 2:04Speaker 4: energy and a life unseen by most except for the
- 2:11Speaker 4: hero Jamir Jennings speaking with a woman known as Crazy Gabby,
- 2:19Speaker 4: who has just told you to seek out a spell,
- 2:24Speaker 4: the cursed spell of communion. Rachel roll A or Jamir
- 2:31Speaker 4: in this instance, roll a knowledge check. Okay, as you
- 2:38Speaker 4: hear this phrase, that's a seven.
- 2:42Speaker 2: That's a number.
- 2:43Speaker 4: This is an average check. I'm rolling a D eight. Oh,
- 2:46Speaker 4: that will also yield a number. Come on now, I
- 2:49Speaker 4: rolled a seven. Damn with this close failed, jam This
- 2:56Speaker 4: rings some odd bell in your life. I mean you're
- 3:00Speaker 4: having trouble focusing. Her eyes have gone stark white. She's
- 3:05Speaker 4: speaking with a voice that you know to be not
- 3:08Speaker 4: her own, and you can't pinpoint where you've maybe seen
- 3:13Speaker 4: that or read that, but it's ringing some sort.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Of bell spell. Yeah, wait, wait, wait can you repeat that?
- 3:22Speaker 4: She snaps out of it, hey, Jamir, right, uh, yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 4: the new gods are coming, Jamir. I'm always trying to
- 3:31Speaker 4: tell you. Yeah, Gabby, you're feeling all right? You need
- 3:36Speaker 4: do you need a water? Water would be great? Oh?
- 3:40Speaker 2: Shoot, takes.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Maybe I can get some uh, maybe I can get
- 3:43Speaker 5: some tiger aid or something.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Yeah, datered aide. Yeah you need some electrolytes, I think yeah,
- 3:51Speaker 4: oh yeah, I'd love that, thanks, Jamir. As Jamir Jog's home,
- 3:56Speaker 4: he's muttering to himself, trying to rack his brain. Think
- 4:02Speaker 4: you can wear He's heard of that spell before, but
- 4:06Speaker 4: he can't. He can't connect the dots. Jamiir, I believe
- 4:09Speaker 4: you have one more point left in unmasked life. What
- 4:13Speaker 4: are you filling it with?
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Jamir? One day, one weekday.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Before working hours, Jamiir is gonna wear pretty nondescript clothes,
- 4:28Speaker 5: just some jeans, some basic tennis baseball cap, some large
- 4:35Speaker 5: black sunglasses, a green T shirt and a light blue
- 4:40Speaker 5: dead of jean jacket. He's gonna get a ham and
- 4:46Speaker 5: cheese croissant, and I'm gonna bring a book, and I'm
- 4:53Speaker 5: just gonna post up on a park bench near City Hall.
- 4:57Speaker 2: What does it feel like in your mouth? Ham and
- 5:00Speaker 2: cheese croissant?
- 5:01Speaker 6: What is the vibe American? Excuse me, new Babylon cheese, Babylon.
- 5:08Speaker 2: New baby bell Bolonian cheese.
- 5:11Speaker 5: It's It's a sharp jeedder cheese, well melted over sliced
- 5:19Speaker 5: Deli ham, a jammed inside a crispy croissant that provides
- 5:27Speaker 5: a nice crunch on the exterior before the mouthfeel of
- 5:31Speaker 5: the soft interior melts with the easy glide of the
- 5:36Speaker 5: ham around.
- 5:37Speaker 6: The most easy glide of the head for those of
- 5:41Speaker 6: you playing Team up Bingo, Glide of the ham and
- 5:46Speaker 6: mouthfeel we're.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Mentioned listeners, let us know if our post show should
- 5:51Speaker 4: just be Ben talking about food ASMI, because I'll tell
- 5:55Speaker 4: you what, I'm fucking hard as.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I think that belongs to the super out the superheroes.
- 6:01Speaker 1: It's like five minutes a day of.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Ben describing his meal, a daily drop, daily meditation instead
- 6:08Speaker 4: of a Bible talking about food. That sounds awesome. We
- 6:14Speaker 4: got yeah, jamiir is post is this looking comfortable? Post
- 6:17Speaker 4: it up?
- 6:18Speaker 5: But I'm just I just want to keep an eye
- 6:21Speaker 5: on who's coming in and out of this building. Who
- 6:25Speaker 5: I'm clocking when they're coming, when they're going, Who looks
- 6:30Speaker 5: who looks stressed, who looks hurried. I just want to
- 6:34Speaker 5: spend I just want to spend a day.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Here, Jimmy, or go ahead and roll a sense check
- 6:39Speaker 4: or an investigation check as you sit here and watch.
- 6:43Speaker 5: I got a D six and both, so I'm bringing
- 6:45Speaker 5: out the old cube and I got a four.
- 6:48Speaker 4: All right, I'm rolling a an average check again. This
- 6:51Speaker 4: is the D eight just for what you see. I
- 6:54Speaker 4: also rolled a four. Oh you tie you cry.
- 7:00Speaker 1: You get too invested in your new babble cooking book.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Now too invested in the ham Sam Sam Glad. Yeah, Jimiir,
- 7:13Speaker 4: you sit here and you watch, and I think there's
- 7:16Speaker 4: still a couple of things you notice. You notice the
- 7:20Speaker 4: mayor never comes.
- 7:21Speaker 2: In or leaves.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Uh he you don't see him at all. Okay, well, no,
- 7:28Speaker 4: you're only there for a day, So let me roll,
- 7:31Speaker 4: let me roll, like just kind of a general luck check.
- 7:36Speaker 4: I think you see two veiled city council members come
- 7:39Speaker 4: and go, uh like a little frantically. The mayor's assistant,
- 7:44Speaker 4: the woman you do see leave towards the end of
- 7:47Speaker 4: the day, but you have tracked her before and you
- 7:51Speaker 4: know that to be her schedule. So yeah, that's about it.
- 7:57Speaker 4: On a tie, you cry. Okay, We're moving over to Jason.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Anything for Unmasked Life?
- 8:05Speaker 2: Jason? Yeah, I put it too in Unmasked Life, and
- 8:10Speaker 2: I think I'd like to just open it up to
- 8:13Speaker 2: anyone to come for this. But I think it makes
- 8:15Speaker 2: sense to do a good old Arthur's funeral. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 8:25Speaker 2: Arthur funeral. He's not really dead, he's dead. Jason.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys think Jamie show up very somber, So.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the morning would consist of just kind
- 8:39Speaker 2: of getting getting ready. I put on kind of a
- 8:41Speaker 2: crumpled gray suit that was the bottom of Page's closet,
- 8:45Speaker 2: and we head over for you know, a non non
- 8:50Speaker 2: denominational kind of funeral service for Arthur.
- 8:54Speaker 4: I think as you show up in Jamier and Ronnie,
- 8:58Speaker 4: you're welcome to be here. The mood is somber. But
- 9:02Speaker 4: also I think the number of people that show out
- 9:05Speaker 4: is I don't know if it would be surprise to Jason,
- 9:08Speaker 4: what do you think it is a lot of people
- 9:10Speaker 4: show up.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Sure, Arthur was alive for a long time. He was
- 9:13Speaker 2: a librarian a really famous institution of the city. So
- 9:19Speaker 2: I think, you know, while I'm here, I definitely I'm
- 9:21Speaker 2: not like at work obviously, but I do want to
- 9:24Speaker 2: you know, who of note is passing through, you know,
- 9:29Speaker 2: giving condolences and you know, saying hey and making appearances.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Do I notice anybody? Yeah, a lot of people also
- 9:37Speaker 4: recognize you. I mean, these are the people that come
- 9:38Speaker 4: to the library often. So there's a lot of people
- 9:41Speaker 4: that just come up to you and shake your hand
- 9:43Speaker 4: and give you, like very specific condolences. There's a lovely
- 9:46Speaker 4: ceremony and then passing by you and Page the two.
- 9:54Speaker 4: I would say that the two closest people that people
- 9:56Speaker 4: know that Arthur is close to giving you condolences.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Here, I'll just do some if you guys want to
- 10:02Speaker 2: be uh you want to just be some random passerbys
- 10:04Speaker 2: giving me condolences? Yeah?
- 10:07Speaker 7: Oh oh the redhead from the library.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Oh, missus Henderson, thank you so much.
- 10:15Speaker 7: I'm so embarrassed that you know my name, but I
- 10:18Speaker 7: just called you the redhead from the library.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I'm used to it. It's fine. Thank you so much
- 10:23Speaker 2: for being here.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Oh, I wouldn't miss old Arturo's funeral for the word boy.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Okay, yep, thank you so much.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I just have so many good memories of there's.
- 10:34Speaker 2: A long line of people.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Oh, yes, of course, great to see.
- 10:38Speaker 6: He kisses you on the cheeko just full lifts.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Yep.
- 10:44Speaker 7: Oh that's that. I'll hope you hope. So, Hope is there?
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yes, Hope. Thank you for reminding me that Hope is there.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I appreciate that. Yes, thank you. Thanks for being here. Hey, baby,
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm so sorry for your loss.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Huh.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I don't know if I recognize you from the library.
- 11:01Speaker 2: I've been to the library before. I love you. Oh,
- 11:09Speaker 2: oh goodness, thank you so much. You want to kiss
- 11:13Speaker 2: This is my dad's funeral. Maybe that was not a
- 11:15Speaker 2: great time for me. Sometimes grieving needs kisses. Yeah, okay,
- 11:21Speaker 2: I mean I've got another cheek over here if you
- 11:24Speaker 2: want to kind of even think I love you. Okay,
- 11:31Speaker 2: thank you, thank you for your condolences.
- 11:35Speaker 6: The next one is just a child with the coloring
- 11:37Speaker 6: page of that they've drawn of Arthur with the book
- 11:43Speaker 6: and angel winks.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah, hi, is this is this for me? Thank you
- 11:53Speaker 2: so much. It's beautiful.
- 11:56Speaker 1: The child hugs your legs can't run.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Eugh.
- 12:01Speaker 4: These wonderful people come through. Two people you notice one
- 12:07Speaker 4: Matt Manny Ellington comes out and shakes your hand. Jason,
- 12:12Speaker 4: I am sorry for your loss. Oh thanks, thanks for
- 12:16Speaker 4: being here, Miss Jellington. That's that's really nice.
- 12:18Speaker 2: I wouldn't miss it.
- 12:20Speaker 4: The loss of Arthur is tragic, and with him the
- 12:27Speaker 4: wonders of your library truly sad day.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Sure, you know, I like to think that Arthur still
- 12:37Speaker 2: lives inside all of us in a way. Yes, not literally,
- 12:42Speaker 2: of course, though figuratively of course, right, just like people,
- 12:46Speaker 2: that's I think people say, right, it's not in there.
- 12:49Speaker 4: It is interesting to think what happens when the body
- 12:52Speaker 4: dies and the soul moves on. Does it become nothing?
- 12:56Speaker 4: Does it become again? Maybe it grows? Angel Wings holds
- 13:00Speaker 4: a book. I hold up a child's drawing that was
- 13:02Speaker 4: handed to me. Maybe I am sorry. Thanks, it means
- 13:07Speaker 4: a lot. He moves on down the line and another
- 13:11Speaker 4: bunch of people go through.
- 13:14Speaker 2: It's Jason right, Yeah, yeah, my name is Caleb. Caleb Santorum.
- 13:20Speaker 4: I got my first library card from Arthur when I
- 13:24Speaker 4: was six, and he helped me check out a lot
- 13:28Speaker 4: of VHS tapes, never gave me ship for not reading
- 13:31Speaker 4: a book.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yeah, he was. He was a supportive guy. Thanks, thanks
- 13:37Speaker 2: for being here. It means a lot.
- 13:39Speaker 5: And when I was having smart times, he let me
- 13:43Speaker 5: use the library as my primary address. Have male sent
- 13:48Speaker 5: here and stuff.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think I've seen a bunch of your
- 13:51Speaker 2: Caleb Santorum. Yeah, yeah, it was. It was.
- 13:55Speaker 5: It helped me get to my next job and figure
- 13:59Speaker 5: shit out, and.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I had to pay my respects. Sounds like something Arthur
- 14:03Speaker 2: would do. He's a good man.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Thanks, I'll tell him spiritually. Yeah, And I'm ashamed about
- 14:09Speaker 5: the library. And if there's a fund for getting it
- 14:15Speaker 5: built back up, you just let us know. I know
- 14:17Speaker 5: a lot of people would want to contribute.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Sure, I appreciate that.
- 14:21Speaker 4: I know.
- 14:23Speaker 2: The Hill and Foundation was trying to put something together,
- 14:25Speaker 2: but I don't know yet. I haven't had time to work.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I'll be on the lookout. I'll be on the lookout
- 14:31Speaker 2: and take care of yourself. And I'm very sorry for
- 14:33Speaker 2: your lost son. Thanks so much. And the other person
- 14:37Speaker 2: that's oh, did you want.
- 14:38Speaker 1: To I was just gonna do my same bit. She's like, oh,
- 14:47Speaker 1: oh is this not the food line?
- 14:49Speaker 2: Oh? You got back in line.
- 14:51Speaker 7: I thought I thought this was where the barbecue was. Oh,
- 14:55Speaker 7: I get I'm so sad about Adams passing Arthur.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Oh I think I missus, Helen, Helen, Helen.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Okay, thank you for being here.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Oh, I wouldn't miss it. Where is the barbecue?
- 15:14Speaker 2: I think they're outside right right right.
- 15:19Speaker 4: The other person of note that comes through after a
- 15:22Speaker 4: number of people and shakes your hand is Henry hillnd
- 15:26Speaker 4: young man. I I'm here, of course, to pay my condolences.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yes, appreciate that, thank you.
- 15:32Speaker 4: So barbecue line is over that way, well, yes, I
- 15:36Speaker 4: will partake absolutely and mingle with as many people as
- 15:40Speaker 4: I can. But I did want to catch your attention
- 15:43Speaker 4: just for a moment. Oh sure, Yeah, looks like I'm
- 15:46Speaker 4: towards the back of the line. Anyhow, Yeah, yeah, what
- 15:49Speaker 4: can I do for you? Well, I want to talk
- 15:52Speaker 4: to you. I hear you're the man to talk to
- 15:54Speaker 4: about rebuilding the pen Dragon Library as well as restocking it.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Before Arthur passed, he left me the library. I guess, yes,
- 16:07Speaker 2: that's what I heard. I want to help. The building
- 16:11Speaker 2: is easy. We can rebuild the books. That is an
- 16:16Speaker 2: interesting commodity to come across. I believe I have a
- 16:21Speaker 2: few favors. I could call in on the world outside
- 16:26Speaker 2: to see what we could get in. Oh wow, yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 2: I mean that that would be Uh, that'd be amazing.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Any help that you can offer, it'd be awesome. Is
- 16:38Speaker 2: there something I can do for you? Yes? Perhaps.
- 16:45Speaker 4: I'm sure that you have good documentation of what books
- 16:48Speaker 4: were part of the library collection. And if you have
- 16:51Speaker 4: that list, getting it over to my people would help immensely.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Sure, a lot of what was physically there on site burned,
- 16:59Speaker 2: but I can I can get you a list of
- 17:03Speaker 2: the books. Yeah, look around, see what you can find.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Sure that's sounds great, And you're sure you don't want anything.
- 17:12Speaker 4: No, no, no, this is this is what the hill
- 17:15Speaker 4: End Foundation is for helping in disaster relief and rebuilding
- 17:20Speaker 4: this city to not forget the beauty that is the
- 17:23Speaker 4: city that we live in and love, and I'll do
- 17:28Speaker 4: whatever I can to bring it back.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Can I do a sense check on this guy or
- 17:35Speaker 2: just like I want? Is he Is he being genuine
- 17:39Speaker 2: or is he doing the politicky thing of being full
- 17:41Speaker 2: of crap? Yeah?
- 17:42Speaker 4: Roll a sense check here. It is an average check.
- 17:46Speaker 4: He's rolling a D eight.
- 17:47Speaker 2: I doubt the amount of paper in his jacket would matter,
- 17:52Speaker 2: but so I just got it too. I rolled a three.
- 17:54Speaker 4: He seems genuine to you. He also seems politicky to you.
- 18:00Speaker 4: His teeth are just a little too perfect.
- 18:02Speaker 7: Right.
- 18:03Speaker 4: There's a lot of people that love that place, and
- 18:06Speaker 4: he's running for office.
- 18:07Speaker 2: So okay, well, thanks for being here. It's nice to
- 18:13Speaker 2: have somebody helping out, So thank you. I wouldn't miss it.
- 18:16Speaker 4: And the rest of the funeral goers come by and
- 18:20Speaker 4: say sorry. At the end, left is as everyone moses out,
- 18:25Speaker 4: either to the barbecue or to their homes in the city.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Ronnie Jamie or do you guys hang out or not
- 18:34Speaker 4: want to be seen in the same space.
- 18:36Speaker 2: What are you doing club, guys, I just as the
- 18:39Speaker 2: party's dying down, we should probably touch base at some
- 18:42Speaker 2: point here.
- 18:43Speaker 1: So yeah, Ronnie would hang out.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Hey, thanks for coming, guys. You didn't have to I
- 18:49Speaker 2: have to be here. No, I had to be here, man.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Yeah, oh we love you. And this is a human tragedy.
- 19:00Speaker 2: D yes, yeah about the traunity. The community is all grieving.
- 19:06Speaker 1: It's this is a huge loss.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah, there's kind of yes. Well, I mean, you know,
- 19:18Speaker 2: it's not exactly like Arthur's dead dead.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Jason Page comes up to this little I choke on
- 19:29Speaker 4: a read Jason as she wipes away her eyes as
- 19:32Speaker 4: she was talking to someone about Arthur and looks to
- 19:37Speaker 4: these two. I'm sorry, these are uh your book book club?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Book club? Yep, Hi, Hi, I'm Paige.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm Veronica. You may recognize me from the TV.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Oh god, yeah, I think I think I do.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Not a murderer over here.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I congratulations on you.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yes, I'm sorry.
- 20:01Speaker 5: You will just kind of tap a Jason on the
- 20:04Speaker 5: shoulder and just kind of duck and spin out, not
- 20:06Speaker 5: wanting to.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Talk to Paige. Great. Uh, and they've got to get
- 20:13Speaker 2: started on color for his travels. I guess so, oh yeah,
- 20:16Speaker 2: no problem, it's really important.
- 20:19Speaker 4: It's a sad like we we we all grieve in
- 20:21Speaker 4: our own way, right right, Yeah, Veronica, good to meet
- 20:24Speaker 4: you too.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I'll go get started on Guliver.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Okay you okay, no, Hey, this is weird question. If
- 20:37Speaker 2: there was something you wanted to say to Arthur and
- 20:40Speaker 2: he could hear you, what would you want to say?
- 20:44Speaker 4: Oh maybe it sounds cliche, but something like like you
- 20:56Speaker 4: saved my life. I think he knows that save mine too.
- 21:09Speaker 2: What do we do? How do we how do we
- 21:13Speaker 2: go on without him? Well, if he were here, which
- 21:20Speaker 2: he's not, I think he might say something like take
- 21:28Speaker 2: care of each other. But you know he would do
- 21:31Speaker 2: it like Jason Bach check out of it to.
- 21:35Speaker 1: The Jason take care of you?
- 21:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you're right, he would say in books.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yeah, he probably would say books nerd, Yeah, nerd.
- 21:50Speaker 4: All right, I'll take care of you and take care
- 21:54Speaker 4: of me. Okay, hmm, oh, I do have something for you?
- 21:59Speaker 4: What not presence at a funeral normally.
- 22:03Speaker 2: No, this is not it's not a good present, but
- 22:07Speaker 2: it would just make me feel better if you had it. Okay,
- 22:11Speaker 2: and Jason's going to grab a paper bag brown paper
- 22:15Speaker 2: bag and hand it to page And inside is a gun.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Oh classy gun at a funeral. She holds it, feels
- 22:30Speaker 4: the steel inside, furrows her brow. Jason, not what is well?
- 22:35Speaker 2: Because I, you know, we said we'd take care of
- 22:37Speaker 2: each other, and I just don't know everything going on
- 22:41Speaker 2: right now. I just don't know if I can be
- 22:42Speaker 2: there all the time. And I wouldn't be able to
- 22:45Speaker 2: forgive myself if you couldn't. You can take care of
- 22:48Speaker 2: yourself too, and this is for that. She looks confused
- 22:54Speaker 2: and concerned. She stuffs the paper bag in her handbag.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I'll see you tonight.
- 23:02Speaker 4: You're still welcome to stay at my place if you want. Yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 4: I might. I might come buy later, all right. I
- 23:09Speaker 4: love you, love you too, mm hmm. And that's where
- 23:15Speaker 4: we're gonna end.
- 23:16Speaker 2: You to ladies. Hey, I've said it once and I'll
- 23:21Speaker 2: say it again. Lady love guns, Bye lady again.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Bye your lady, last Valentine's Day, Bye your lady a gun.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Let's move into thread chasing.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Let's hear numbers and then hear what you wanted to
- 23:46Speaker 4: do with your thread chasing and what overlaps and such?
- 23:51Speaker 1: What what tapestry our threats create yeah? Three two? Okay,
- 23:57Speaker 1: last off?
- 23:59Speaker 4: Last off that I was supposed to say, brain blast, yes, Quanta?
- 24:09Speaker 4: What is well, let's start with let's start with Jason.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Now let's go back and start with quantum Quanta, what
- 24:16Speaker 4: do you want to do for three?
- 24:19Speaker 1: Four? Free weds?
- 24:20Speaker 6: I had the election, yes, as one like the voting
- 24:23Speaker 6: machines right right, following up on those electrically, yeah, and
- 24:28Speaker 6: then perhaps to open depending on assisting my brothers or
- 24:35Speaker 6: following my own personal.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Things which you don't want to tell me about. Got
- 24:43Speaker 4: it right, Joe? What what did you have? What are
- 24:47Speaker 4: your threads? Do you want to follow? I definitely want to.
- 24:51Speaker 4: I want to spend some time back in my grandma's
- 24:55Speaker 4: study trying to learn some more magic.
- 24:59Speaker 5: I feel like I have neglected that since I since
- 25:03Speaker 5: I got gifted these powers, I kind of got a
- 25:05Speaker 5: cheat code. But I don't want I don't want my
- 25:09Speaker 5: study to cease. I want to keep learning about the stars,
- 25:13Speaker 5: keep learning about Rigel and Oryan and the heavens and
- 25:17Speaker 5: the magics they're in.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Sounds good?
- 25:20Speaker 6: Oh. I had assumed like the crime meeting would be
- 25:24Speaker 6: like the end of our downtime week, and so that
- 25:27Speaker 6: wouldn't need to be included.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Yes, okay, correct, that's correct, Okay, cool? Anything else, Jim
- 25:33Speaker 4: for my for.
- 25:34Speaker 2: My second thread? Yes, my second thread.
- 25:36Speaker 5: I want to I want to spend some time in
- 25:40Speaker 5: the shoot trying to find the Wraith.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 25:46Speaker 5: Interesting that we do have a new Pinterest sponsorship, so
- 25:52Speaker 5: we do have to say that is spaon.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Con Tonny's mood board for the Raith.
- 25:59Speaker 5: Yeah, that's your mood boot isn't bendro sal just ai
- 26:03Speaker 5: slap now on it?
- 26:05Speaker 4: Probably Jason, what was your one thing you wanted to chase?
- 26:09Speaker 4: I want to get my threads, get my threads on,
- 26:12Speaker 4: get my new uh literal trench trench coat, swing by
- 26:17Speaker 4: the tailor.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Perfect A Taylor.
- 26:24Speaker 4: So Quanta will start with you for the upcoming election
- 26:28Speaker 4: and the election voting booths.
- 26:31Speaker 2: You do you guys?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Do all of you?
- 26:33Speaker 4: At some point Maria comes up to because you're focusing
- 26:37Speaker 4: on it, Quantum will say you comes up to you
- 26:40Speaker 4: and gives you a letter from Ellington that came through
- 26:44Speaker 4: the tubes because he said he would send over the
- 26:47Speaker 4: names of the city council for you guys to affect
- 26:52Speaker 4: their vote. It says this city council in handwriting underlined.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Benjamin Broth, CEO of Schabroth Farms, Gary Stephenson, CEO of
- 27:06Speaker 4: Stephenson Oil, cousin to our dear Mayor George Olson, CEO
- 27:13Speaker 4: of Clank Industries. Know him Mitchell Nichols, silent Pope of
- 27:19Speaker 4: the Catholic Church, Stephen Star, owner and head anchor of
- 27:24Speaker 4: New Babel News.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Is that his real name?
- 27:26Speaker 2: You think? Probably?
- 27:27Speaker 4: And Manny Ellington, CEO of Ellington Electric, planning to vote
- 27:33Speaker 4: not to confirm the voice of the people, to keep
- 27:36Speaker 4: my cover. If it seems like it will be close though,
- 27:40Speaker 4: let me know, and I will gladly sacrifice my status
- 27:43Speaker 4: among the city council for a change. But if I'm
- 27:46Speaker 4: able to maintain their view of me, it may still
- 27:49Speaker 4: be useful to us during the transition of power. This
- 27:53Speaker 4: is the letter you get from Manny Ellington.
- 27:56Speaker 1: And we're trying to affect their vote to.
- 28:00Speaker 6: Ratify the results correct once the machines, because the machines are.
- 28:05Speaker 2: They're going to ignore whatever the people do and they're
- 28:07Speaker 2: just going to keep the same Mayor Stephenson.
- 28:10Speaker 6: Because the machines are are telling the correct votes, even
- 28:13Speaker 6: though the council thinks they won't be telling correct votes.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Cousin to the mayor, nepo cousin. Yeah.
- 28:21Speaker 4: You look through these names, Kwanta and Shabrath Farms, Stephenson Oil,
- 28:28Speaker 4: Clank Industries, the Catholic Church, New Babel News, Allington Electric.
- 28:33Speaker 4: These are like the big like the primary producer and
- 28:40Speaker 4: the primary producer of meat in the city is Shabrath
- 28:44Speaker 4: Farms and.
- 28:45Speaker 2: It's on the south side.
- 28:47Speaker 4: The primary obviously, you know, Stephenson Oils, primary producer of
- 28:53Speaker 4: you know, primary producer of oil in the city. These
- 28:56Speaker 4: are like the big things, the big.
- 28:58Speaker 6: Maria, what happened if we just leaked this, wouldn't they
- 29:02Speaker 6: have enough pressure from the people to have to ratify
- 29:05Speaker 6: the results to save their face?
- 29:07Speaker 4: Maria sort of shrugs. I would assume there's a reason
- 29:13Speaker 4: Ellington hasn't.
- 29:15Speaker 6: Maybe to save his own but could be. I, you know,
- 29:19Speaker 6: don't completely trust him. I nor do I his dragon
- 29:24Speaker 6: though pretty cool.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Very cool, very scary, a little scary. No, no, well
- 29:30Speaker 4: for me, Oh, apologies, that's fine. You also visit the
- 29:36Speaker 4: different voting booths in the city. You see that they've
- 29:39Speaker 4: been installed and they're being protected and set up. They're
- 29:42Speaker 4: all in you know, important parts, all throughout the city
- 29:45Speaker 4: and seem to be working fine. Seemed to be nothing
- 29:50Speaker 4: fishy going on.
- 29:52Speaker 1: I cast my vote great pro election, bepep.
- 29:59Speaker 6: I get a little sticker that prints out a sticker
- 30:01Speaker 6: and I wear it as Quanta and as Ronnie awesome.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Have we talked about what the new Babbel flag looks like?
- 30:08Speaker 2: I don't know if we have.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I'm just wondering what is the I voted background on
- 30:12Speaker 1: this oval sticker.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I'll try to explain it.
- 30:15Speaker 4: The new the new Babbel flag is sliced into quadrants,
- 30:20Speaker 4: the four, you know, representing the four quadrants of the city,
- 30:24Speaker 4: and in the middle is a large circle that represents
- 30:27Speaker 4: the station. And out of that circle, there's a line
- 30:31Speaker 4: that goes up to the right and down the line
- 30:35Speaker 4: that goes left is two lines representing the shoot.
- 30:40Speaker 1: So maybe the O and voted circle on the flag.
- 30:44Speaker 4: And the letters go diagonal yeah, I voted yeah through
- 30:48Speaker 4: the yeah perfect.
- 30:51Speaker 6: Quantas just thinking like I don't I don't know what
- 30:54Speaker 6: to do with this list other than some mind fuckery,
- 30:58Speaker 6: but should probably talk to the boys about that.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Let's pick up with Jamir in his Grandma's study. Jamir,
- 31:04Speaker 4: how are you going about your study magic.
- 31:11Speaker 5: Yeah, So I imagine that I started looking through a
- 31:15Speaker 5: bunch of different texts, and as I was sorting them,
- 31:21Speaker 5: maybe I eventually had marked like, hey, here's more information
- 31:25Speaker 5: about Ryan, here's more information about star magic.
- 31:30Speaker 2: And I want to like go.
- 31:31Speaker 5: Back to these places that I kind of left off
- 31:34Speaker 5: when I turned my focus to training and get back
- 31:38Speaker 5: into the weeds of understanding what's going on.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead and roll a I take investigation or
- 31:47Speaker 2: knowledge again.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Here, Okay, here we go, the mighty three, the mighty three.
- 31:54Speaker 4: I'm rolling a D six for in a simple check
- 31:58Speaker 4: as you've already been in here doing.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I rolled it a mighty two. Ooh ooh, the mighty
- 32:05Speaker 2: body Boss two's Jamir.
- 32:07Speaker 4: As you study, you start to play with your star energy,
- 32:13Speaker 4: using it as like a gravitational force, pulling things a
- 32:18Speaker 4: little closer to you, pushing things a little bit away,
- 32:21Speaker 4: holding things in the air, studying certain books swirling around you.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Almost involuntarily, you start doing this, holding up books that
- 32:31Speaker 4: you want to remember as you flip open another book.
- 32:35Speaker 4: Your Grandma's work was sporadic and confusing and covered the
- 32:39Speaker 4: scope of a variety of disciplines.
- 32:43Speaker 2: You find out the other schools.
- 32:45Speaker 4: Of magic that you've heard about from Arthur seem separate
- 32:49Speaker 4: from this star magic. Your grandma tries to find directive
- 32:55Speaker 4: lines that trace back through history to certain pinpoints of
- 33:00Speaker 4: importance as she thinks, through spirit magic and creation magic
- 33:05Speaker 4: and other things.
- 33:07Speaker 2: But star magic.
- 33:08Speaker 4: You can tell it was hard for her to find
- 33:10Speaker 4: where it went until you find a pathway, a line
- 33:16Speaker 4: that she drew in one of her journals that has
- 33:19Speaker 4: a line like moving to a star that just says beyond,
- 33:24Speaker 4: and then it moves into a blank page that line.
- 33:28Speaker 4: You start following it back and it moves through the
- 33:32Speaker 4: different zodiac signs, starts with Aries and Taurus and moves
- 33:36Speaker 4: through the other signs until it gets to the word beyond.
- 33:42Speaker 4: With that success, Jimy, you also find a page that
- 33:46Speaker 4: says the cursed spell of communion. Oh shit, And this
- 33:51Speaker 4: is what you find underneath your grandma's writing. It is
- 33:55Speaker 4: not a spell of words, but a spell of movement,
- 33:58Speaker 4: material and starlight requirements. One cursed by ashen enemies. Gold
- 34:05Speaker 4: in purest form, dance of tired body, waking eyes of
- 34:10Speaker 4: two witnesses, and then there's a little pattern in which
- 34:15Speaker 4: you're supposed to move or dance it is not a
- 34:18Speaker 4: spell of words, but a spell of movement, material and starlight.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Requirements one cursed by Ashen enemies, gold in purest form,
- 34:33Speaker 4: dance of tired body and waking eyes of two to witness.
- 34:45Speaker 8: Acien enemies like ghosts, like zombies, like crack skin heaven. Huh.
- 35:03Speaker 2: This is big.
- 35:05Speaker 5: Yeah, Jamia writes that down for himself, and it's gonna
- 35:09Speaker 5: think on that. Yeah, I'll start looking looking around for
- 35:12Speaker 5: Ashen enemies if that's come up anywhere else. Yeah, references
- 35:17Speaker 5: to Ashen enemies in any of these other texts or my.
- 35:22Speaker 4: Research, Yeah, I think in your research on star magic,
- 35:25Speaker 4: as you try to focus in and through your grandma's tomes,
- 35:30Speaker 4: there is talk of a battle between starfolk and they're
- 35:40Speaker 4: Ashen enemies. Oh so this requirement one cursed by Ashen enemies. Yeah,
- 35:50Speaker 4: that's all I'll say, cursed. It's a riddle, a fun
- 35:54Speaker 4: riddle by Ashen. You think about your relationship to the
- 36:03Speaker 4: pot and the genie that gave you your powers, but
- 36:08Speaker 4: those were those were in a curs right. You then
- 36:13Speaker 4: think about the night you were flying with Dirk and
- 36:16Speaker 4: flew so high above the city skyline and your powers disappeared. Uh,
- 36:25Speaker 4: and he did go back into the pot. I go
- 36:28Speaker 4: over to the pot and kind of shake it a little. Yeah,
- 36:35Speaker 4: it wobbles there on the shelf. I look at the
- 36:42Speaker 4: dance patterns. Am I really gonna do this?
- 36:47Speaker 2: Shit? Fuck me?
- 36:49Speaker 4: Engineer starts uh learning the moves. You start learning the
- 36:53Speaker 4: dance moves. As you do, you follow it, you see
- 36:58Speaker 4: that there are not just a pattern of feet, but
- 37:01Speaker 4: also sparks in places in the dance patterns that shoot
- 37:06Speaker 4: off of it. And it feels like you're star magic
- 37:11Speaker 4: kind of pushing out into the empty space above the dance.
- 37:15Speaker 5: Okay, it's the chachass slide feeling something by Aha.
- 37:24Speaker 4: So you know you also need as you do this,
- 37:27Speaker 4: like nothing magical. Yeah, yeah, I need to get all
- 37:30Speaker 4: the other ingredients. I just wanted to practice the dance
- 37:33Speaker 4: so that when I'm ready, I.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Yeah, before you do it in front of witnesses with
- 37:38Speaker 2: gold and ashen enemies.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good to rehearse before recital.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:43Speaker 5: If I I mean, if you're willing to montage this,
- 37:46Speaker 5: I would definitely. I mean, I'm assuming I gotta do
- 37:48Speaker 5: this at night under the stars to the left.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, let's montage it. What do you what do you do.
- 37:56Speaker 5: I'll definitely set up an evening with Jackie and Maria
- 38:01Speaker 5: and say, meet me in the backyard of the manor
- 38:04Speaker 5: at one am.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Jimmy and what the fuck's what's going on? Just Jackie?
- 38:10Speaker 9: Of course, it's really hard to explain. Okay, it's it's
- 38:17Speaker 9: it's some magic shit. Okay, cool, I'll be there. Maria
- 38:21Speaker 9: also agrees.
- 38:22Speaker 2: To be there.
- 38:23Speaker 5: Hey, guys, thanks for coming. I had to meat a
- 38:27Speaker 5: cup of hot chocolate. Sorry, we were had a mug,
- 38:31Speaker 5: so I just put the hot chocolate in a cup.
- 38:34Speaker 5: So you remember my magic research that I started with
- 38:39Speaker 5: Maria Jackie, I mentioned this to you. Yeah, yeah, of course, Well, uh,
- 38:45Speaker 5: I don't know say this, but I came across a
- 38:51Speaker 5: prophesy while I was just chilling in the shoot recently,
- 38:57Speaker 5: and they mentioned a spell.
- 39:00Speaker 2: And then I went back to my study and I
- 39:04Speaker 2: found You're not gonna believe.
- 39:05Speaker 4: This, but I've found how to perform that spell that
- 39:10Speaker 4: was told to me in a street prophecy. Wow, okay, okay,
- 39:15Speaker 4: and as it turns out, it's not even like crazy complex,
- 39:19Speaker 4: but I do need to witnesses to watch. Okay, that's
- 39:23Speaker 4: you guys. Cool, I'm ready Jimmy, Yeah, whatever, watching. Yeah,
- 39:29Speaker 4: as far as I understand it, all you guys have
- 39:32Speaker 4: to do is watch. Okay, I got some gold here.
- 39:38Speaker 5: I take out if I folded up carefully in a
- 39:42Speaker 5: handkerchief one of my grandma's old brooches. But I also
- 39:49Speaker 5: need to have a tired body, which is why.
- 39:54Speaker 2: It's late.
- 39:55Speaker 5: And I don't know how long I'm gonna have to
- 39:57Speaker 5: do this dance, but I'm I need to do it
- 40:00Speaker 5: to the point of semi exhaustion or full of exhaust
- 40:04Speaker 5: I don't know. But I'm already pretty damn sleepy. So
- 40:08Speaker 5: hopefully this won't take too long, and hopefully something will happen.
- 40:14Speaker 5: I gotta say, even when I was practicing the steps,
- 40:18Speaker 5: I did feel a little magic start.
- 40:20Speaker 2: To tingle Maria.
- 40:22Speaker 4: Her eyes are wide, Okay, we're ready. I do you
- 40:27Speaker 4: think your powers will make it so your body like
- 40:31Speaker 4: can't be tired?
- 40:32Speaker 2: No, I can.
- 40:34Speaker 5: I'm gonna throw myself into this. I'm gonna be exerting myself,
- 40:38Speaker 5: all right, So yeah, I can get tired, not as
- 40:44Speaker 5: fast as a normal man, perhaps, but you know I'm
- 40:49Speaker 5: gonna be pushing it. So this is gonna be strenuous.
- 40:54Speaker 5: It is a little embarrassing. I look at Jackie. Don't
- 40:58Speaker 5: fucking laugh.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I would never laugh at you. Jamir, all right,
- 41:05Speaker 4: I put on my mask. I'm also like in my costume,
- 41:09Speaker 4: but put on my mask for the dance. And yeah,
- 41:15Speaker 4: jams or not now, I don't know have mask now
- 41:19Speaker 4: it's more of a hell eh. Yes, I put on
- 41:23Speaker 4: my helm and Jamir starts dancing. You move through the dance,
- 41:30Speaker 4: there are the points where you feel like your magic
- 41:34Speaker 4: should be shot out, and it does. And as you
- 41:38Speaker 4: shoot your magic out, you you sometimes haven't had control,
- 41:41Speaker 4: but in this moment, as you move, you feel like control.
- 41:46Speaker 4: You feel like just the star is pushing out of you,
- 41:54Speaker 4: and as you move it forms a line and a pattern.
- 41:59Speaker 4: The star magic stays in places until there's a beautiful
- 42:06Speaker 4: symbol that is star like in nature, similar to your
- 42:11Speaker 4: seven points. Ooh, I'm kind of keeping an eye on this,
- 42:16Speaker 4: but I'm just still hoofing it.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:19Speaker 4: You push and you push, and you you get exhausted.
- 42:22Speaker 4: You do get very tired. It's one of those things
- 42:27Speaker 4: where you don't quite know how long you've been doing something.
- 42:32Speaker 4: But Maria and Jackie both sit down. They both yeah,
- 42:37Speaker 4: they their hot chocolate is empty. It goes on for
- 42:41Speaker 4: a long time until you feel as though you're almost asleep,
- 42:58Speaker 4: and then a beam from the heavens, blue and white,
- 43:05Speaker 4: streams down, breaking the sky and pouring right in front
- 43:13Speaker 4: of you. As it dissipates, there is a woman standing there,
- 43:35Speaker 4: Golden robes and hair, golden circlet.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Okay, h hello, Hi, yeah, Rache'll still dance.
- 43:50Speaker 10: You may stop dancing. Oh yeah, cursed one curse cursed.
- 44:01Speaker 10: So so I'm I'm cursed.
- 44:08Speaker 4: You know me? I know not of you in specific,
- 44:16Speaker 4: but I know of your kind and what has been
- 44:20Speaker 4: done to you. Only a cursed could call me down.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Oh so this has happened before.
- 44:29Speaker 2: To you, Yes, but not for some time. How do
- 44:34Speaker 2: you speak English? What you call English?
- 44:40Speaker 7: Tongue?
- 44:40Speaker 2: We're speaking, yes? Or language? I don't know why I
- 44:44Speaker 2: said tongue. I feel Shakespeaparian almost with you. That's fine.
- 44:51Speaker 2: He was a great poet. Yes, I know, I know, Yes,
- 44:54Speaker 2: I know I know who Shakespeare? Wait, you know Shakespeare?
- 44:59Speaker 1: Space to the Star.
- 45:01Speaker 2: What do you call English? We have learned it from
- 45:04Speaker 2: observation of you.
- 45:06Speaker 4: What I am?
- 45:09Speaker 2: Where are you from? I? And my people? Orbits? Jupiter?
- 45:16Speaker 2: Whoa like on a moon. Yes, which one. Well, it
- 45:23Speaker 2: isn't a specific moon of Jupiter. It's like on a moon.
- 45:28Speaker 2: It's our own rock that orbits Jupiter. Oh shoot, are
- 45:36Speaker 2: you sure? Go ahead?
- 45:39Speaker 6: No?
- 45:40Speaker 2: What's up? Oh are you then? Starfolk?
- 45:49Speaker 4: We are not, but we are in service to the
- 45:52Speaker 4: Lady of Light Passeran in the High Place Edah. She
- 46:00Speaker 4: lives among us, and she look like a human. She
- 46:06Speaker 4: can take a human form interest, but her true form
- 46:12Speaker 4: is unbearable to our eyes because she's a star. She
- 46:16Speaker 4: is one of the first starfolk.
- 46:18Speaker 5: Yes, she's a star, which is farther in space, but
- 46:24Speaker 5: she hangs out near Jupiter.
- 46:26Speaker 2: As like a lady. There is much that I could say,
- 46:31Speaker 2: uh huh, and there is not much time. Oh shit,
- 46:35Speaker 2: if the boon of the star lady would be yours,
- 46:39Speaker 2: there's a boon I can get. Yes, even though I'm cursed.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Is the curse bad? Or is the curse? Okay? I've
- 46:47Speaker 2: been trying to use the curse powers and this has
- 46:49Speaker 2: been going pretty good. That is good to hear.
- 46:54Speaker 4: It must mean that the ashen foe with whom you
- 46:59Speaker 4: made a deal is getting close to their freedom.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Oh the gin. Yes, your people have at times called
- 47:08Speaker 2: them gin. What would your people call them ashen foes?
- 47:13Speaker 2: That is one word? How long have you guys been
- 47:16Speaker 2: living out near Jupiter? Over a millennia? Whoa? But you
- 47:22Speaker 2: know Shakespeare? Do you guys watch us? We are able
- 47:27Speaker 2: to learn from you? Yes?
- 47:30Speaker 4: Is that part?
- 47:31Speaker 2: How many are there like you on the rock? Millions? Billions?
- 47:38Speaker 2: Millions but not billions, just millions, but still millions? Yes?
- 47:44Speaker 2: Oh shit?
- 47:47Speaker 5: Could I come with you to visit? Is there gravity?
- 47:51Speaker 5: There is there air there? You look like a human,
- 47:54Speaker 5: no disrespect. You look very nice and you just travel
- 47:58Speaker 5: from Jupiter. But I'm assuming human.
- 48:01Speaker 6: We are.
- 48:03Speaker 4: There is air, there is gravity, and it's not too cold.
- 48:08Speaker 4: Somehow it is all a gift of our Lady of
- 48:13Speaker 4: Light Pessorens.
- 48:14Speaker 2: I see she has great power Pesserene, and she has
- 48:20Speaker 2: a boon. Yeah.
- 48:21Speaker 5: If there's not much time, I'll take any boon I
- 48:23Speaker 5: can get very well.
- 48:26Speaker 4: She raises her arms. When the Lords of Starfire were
- 48:30Speaker 4: forced to this play, their enemies, with whom they were
- 48:35Speaker 4: locked in everlasting battle, were brought here with them. In
- 48:41Speaker 4: their benevolence, the Bright Lords did not create your world
- 48:45Speaker 4: with execution, and instead bound their enemies to earth and objects.
- 48:53Speaker 4: They also gave them a path to be purified and
- 48:56Speaker 4: to be freed. Those bound instead of bless, will at
- 49:02Speaker 4: times curse those who find these objects. Your ability to
- 49:09Speaker 4: complete this spell is proof that you are one of these,
- 49:13Speaker 4: and so a boon of pity an apology is offered
- 49:18Speaker 4: to you by our Lady of Light pesser An, a
- 49:21Speaker 4: boon of knowledge and a boon of power. Rachel, you
- 49:26Speaker 4: feel the power of this person.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 49:30Speaker 4: Jackie and Maria sit gawking. They don't see the woman.
- 49:36Speaker 4: They only see the beam of light and you in conversation.
- 49:42Speaker 4: In this moment, you may ask for a boon of power,
- 49:47Speaker 4: which will be your level up, and a boon of knowledge.
- 49:55Speaker 5: I can answer both yes yes, from your powerful lady.
- 50:01Speaker 5: A boot of strength and power would be most welcome
- 50:07Speaker 5: as I seek to fight the great evils that exist
- 50:12Speaker 5: here in this land, and.
- 50:17Speaker 4: As just a novice truly in terms of magic, a
- 50:27Speaker 4: boon of knowledge about star magic would be greatly appreciated. Great,
- 50:35Speaker 4: So Ben, tell me what you are taking at level three.
- 50:38Speaker 4: For level three, I think I'm taking get behind me
- 50:45Speaker 4: so I have no defense of penalties when I'm trying
- 50:48Speaker 4: to defend allies within the range of my magic blast,
- 50:52Speaker 4: and I roll all my defensive roles high when defending others.
- 50:57Speaker 2: Very nice, this woman smiles.
- 51:00Speaker 4: Your desire to protect those around you important to you
- 51:05Speaker 4: is honorable.
- 51:06Speaker 2: You will now do so with the shield of our lady.
- 51:11Speaker 4: Out of the beam of light that bore this woman
- 51:14Speaker 4: down to Earth comes a circular shield that moves to
- 51:22Speaker 4: your arm, latches hold, and will be with you. You
- 51:29Speaker 4: can choose whether it be seen or not, but it
- 51:33Speaker 4: is a boon and a boost to your defensive powers
- 51:37Speaker 4: when defending those you care about.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Hell, yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna make it visible what
- 51:44Speaker 2: I want it to be like when I'm in costume. Yeah. Perfect,
- 51:52Speaker 2: Thank you. And then.
- 51:54Speaker 4: Knowledge of the magic of the stars, and I will
- 51:58Speaker 4: leave you with this. The people of Earth have discovered
- 52:01Speaker 4: that stars are for the most part made of gas
- 52:07Speaker 4: and float out in the reaches of the heavens. But
- 52:11Speaker 4: there are points of light out there that are windows
- 52:14Speaker 4: to another world, a world that encompasses and hugs your own.
- 52:22Speaker 4: This is the realm from which my masters have come,
- 52:27Speaker 4: and to which they will never return. They made many
- 52:30Speaker 4: mistakes in their interactions with the Terrans they call you,
- 52:37Speaker 4: and thus have bound themselves to the planetary bodies and
- 52:42Speaker 4: do what they can to help those in need. When
- 52:47Speaker 4: in grave need. The power that you have gained is
- 52:52Speaker 4: not a system to be learned, but a force to
- 52:57Speaker 4: be wielded.
- 53:00Speaker 6: You.
- 53:02Speaker 2: I will guard this knowledge and not abuse it. Will
- 53:09Speaker 2: I see you again? She says it is unlikely, really,
- 53:17Speaker 2: but good luck? What's your name? Alathea? Alia? To tell
- 53:29Speaker 2: everyone up there versus.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Hello, She smiles, good luck, right, Joel, and her beam
- 53:45Speaker 4: reignites and she is sucked back into space.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Oh oh hey, it worked, everybody.
