**ALERT** Remember THIS While CRYING Over Your Silver Stack -- (Silver Price & Gold Price) · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

• 0:00
2024 could be a horrible year for the silver price and gold
• 0:05
price. If the Fed continues with their
• 0:07
  hawkish, aggressive monetary policy.
• 0:10
Who knows how low the prices could go?
• 0:16
The silver price and gold price have been getting absolutely
• 0:20
clobbered. You may be wondering what the
• 0:23
heck is going on. What are the reasons behind this
• 0:28
occurrence? And will 2024 wind up being in a
• 0:32
year where we do see major declines in the price of silver,
• 0:37
gold and the precious metals mining stocks?
• 0:39
We're going to talk about what's going on and what the outlook
• 0:43
remains for the rest of 2024. Thank you for joining me here in
• 0:47
the basement basement dwellers you've been put through the mill
• 0:51
to start out 2024. I know it's difficult.
• 0:56
  I feel it. I understand whether you're
• 0:59
invested in physical silver, gold or the precious metal
• 1:03
mining stocks, this has been a start to the year that none of
• 1:07
us really expected to be this severe.
• 1:10
We had talked about the possibility of a slight drawdown
• 1:14
in the silver price and gold price, but this recent activity
• 1:18
has exceeded all of our expectations.
• 1:22
And what's the excuse that they're giving us?
• 1:25
What's the reason the big overwhelming power that's
• 1:29
pushing down the silver pricing gold price?
• 1:32
Well, it's this sudden re pivot back to more hawkish tone from
• 1:37
the world central banks. It's not just the United States.
• 1:40
It's all over the world, the United Kingdom, the EU and even
• 1:45
here in the United States where in mid-december we had a very
• 1:48
dovish message from Jerome Powell that helps support the
• 1:53
precious metals prices. But recently we're hearing from
• 1:57
all the Fed governors and it's a bunch of hawkish squawk.
• 2:01
Now, can this hold up throughout the year?
• 2:05
Can the world central banks actually raise rates?
• 2:08
That brings up a very interesting question.
• 2:11

• 2:48
They checked all the boxes. 2024 could be a horrible year for the
• 2:54
silver price and gold price. If the Fed continues with their
• 2:58
hawkish, aggressive monetary policy, who knows how low the
• 3:02
prices could go? But I have a question for you.
• 3:05
Do you think the Fed can really continue with this higher for
• 3:10
longer rhetoric? I'll ask you a question.
• 3:13
Do you think the banks can sustain higher rates for much
• 3:17
  longer? Do you think businesses,
• 3:19
corporations, many of which are considered zombies, right, they
• 3:24
can't even survive in a higher interest rate environment?
• 3:28
Do you think the corporate world can survive paying much higher
• 3:32
interest expenses? And what about us?
• 3:35
What about the consumer? We know there's a record level
• 3:39
of credit card debt. We know people have no savings.
• 3:43
Can the consumer survive much longer in a higher interest rate
• 3:48
  environment? And remember, that's the
• 3:51
environment that's needed to keep this downward pressure on
• 3:55
the price of the metals. I would go as far as to say it's
• 3:58
all a bunch of funny money, it's all a bunch of make believe.
• 4:03
And at the end of the day, no, the banks, the consumers, what
• 4:08
about our government with their $34 trillion debt?
• 4:12
None of them can be sustained in this higher interest rate
• 4:17
environments. Now they're going to throw up
• 4:19
all kinds of new programs, new ways to describe what they're
• 4:23
doing. But at the end of the day, no
• 4:26
matter what moves, the Fed has to make from a monetary
• 4:29
perspective, environment with interest rates, with monetary
• 4:34
policy, with M2, money supply with any of it, no matter how
• 4:38
you slice it or dice it, the rust always eats through
• 4:43
whatever spray paint they spray on things temporarily to make it
• 4:47
look good. The silver price and gold price
• 4:50
will go much higher in real terms.
• 4:53
Real value. The value of an ounce of silver.
• 4:56
The value of an ounce of gold will go up.
• 5:01
Does thinking about this make you feel a little crazy and
• 5:04
confused? That's because it is crazy and
• 5:08
confusing. And if we broaden our scope just
• 5:11
a little bit outside of the craziness in the United States
• 5:16
and look at things on a worldwide basis, it gets even
• 5:21
more concerning. We'll look at just one component
• 5:24
of what's going on the world at war and the implications that
• 5:30
that has on the world economy. Do you know that Germany, the
• 5:34
4th largest economy in the world, is now officially in a
• 5:40
  recession? Their economy is contracting.
• 5:43
A big reason why is because of energy cost.
• 5:47
They had relied on cheap Russian gas and now that we have war in
• 5:51
Europe, just that one example can show you how the world not
• 5:57
getting along can have major economic implications.
• 6:00
Do you think the Germans are going to want higher interest
• 6:04
rates when their economy is in recession?
• 6:07
And that's something that's going to be faced by the whole
• 6:10
world once the real impact of what's going on right now on our
• 6:16
planet is felt, right? All this conflict, all this debt
• 6:21
that's piled up, once it all feeds through the system, we're
• 6:26
going to be in a situation where vast amounts of liquidity, lower
• 6:31
interest rates, are necessary just to keep the system alive.
• 6:36
And at the end of the day, all right, when everything rises to
• 6:40
the top, what you're going to find are your silver and gold.
• 6:43
Fortuna Silver Mines is a global intermediate gold and silver
• 6:48
producer. Since 2005, Fortuna's best in
• 6:51
class management has delivered impressive growth and profits.
• 6:56
Fortuna's solid financial position and operational
• 6:59
expertise allows for performance in any precious metals price
• 7:04
cycle and provides a foundation from which to harvest great
• 7:08
profits in more favorable metals markets.
• 7:11
Investing in Fortuna is an investment in quality, long
• 7:15
term, sustainable production of in demand precious and base
• 7:20
metals. And while the recent price
• 7:23
action in silver and gold have been extremely frustrating, if
• 7:28
we come back to the United States we see a balance sheet
• 7:31
that shows $34 trillion in debt that mathematically can never be
• 7:39
paid off. We're facing an environment
• 7:42
socially, politically, in this country as we move through 2024
• 7:48
that could prove to be a powder keg.
• 7:51
None of us want anything bad to happen, but it doesn't take much
• 7:55
to read what's going on politically, socially in this
• 7:59
country to see that we are headed for some challenging
• 8:03
times. What do you think when you look
• 8:06
right now at the world, when you look domestically at the United
• 8:11
States? Do you think 2024 will prove to
• 8:14
be a year where we see major change or will it turn out to be
• 8:19
just a nothing burger? Somehow the powers that be are
• 8:24
able to perpetuate the system, the funny money environment that
• 8:28
we live in right now. Or will it be a year where we
• 8:32
face some major challenges, where people like you like me,
• 8:36
that have invested in precious metals are proven to be correct
• 8:40
in our thesis in that precious metals will protect us under any
• 8:45
environment no matter how things pan out?
• 8:49
We do know one thing for sure, it's done that for thousands and
• 8:53
thousands of years. And when I look at the current
• 8:56
environment, the ability of precious metals to protect and
• 9:00
maybe even increase wealth while the downside is minimal, Well,
• 9:05
to me that's a bet I'll take. Look, you need to make U your
• 9:09
mind for yourself. Listen to me.
• 9:12
Listen to others. Do what you believe.
• 9:15
But know one thing for sure. I'll be here for you through it
• 9:19
  all. That's a real honor that you've
• 9:20
joined me today here in the basement.
