  Speaker 2: and then understanding the unfadable nature of God, meditation exercise,

  Speaker 2: engaging with the scripture and then the scripture focused, and

  Speaker 2: then practicing the presence of God a daily practice, and

  Speaker 2: then concluding thoughts. So this is what I share to

  Speaker 2: be an introduction and a prelude up into the thirty

  Speaker 2: one days. It's like getting them babies ready, getting getting

  Speaker 2: our getting ourselves and them babies ready to embark upon
• 9:19
  Speaker 2: this journey for thirty one days, so it's kind of
• 9:21
  Speaker 2: giving them some backwork and some background on what we're
• 9:25
  Speaker 2: going to be diving into. So before I really get

  Speaker 2: into it, y'all know, I always want to start with

  Speaker 2: a prayer so that I can truly invite the Holy

  Speaker 2: Spirit to come in. Father got in. There ain't much Jesus. Lord,

  Speaker 2: I thank you for yet another chance to be amongst
• 9:40
  Speaker 2: your people. Lord god Father, I thank you for this hour,
• 9:42
  Speaker 2: this hour that you set aside to allow me to
• 9:44
  Speaker 2: come on and do a daily devotion, Lord God, to
• 9:46
  Speaker 2: encourage your people. Lord god Father, I thank you, and
• 9:49
  Speaker 2: I asked that you remove me out of the flesh,
• 9:51
  Speaker 2: Floor God, and allow your spirit man to rise up
• 9:53
  Speaker 2: within me. Lord god Father, allow the things that you
• 9:56
  Speaker 2: will have me to share on today to come forth.

  Speaker 2: Floor God, keep me out of the way, and allow

  Speaker 2: to be three scriptures that we're going to focus on

  Speaker 2: the first one is Exodus three one and four. Now

  Speaker 2: Moses was tending to the flock of Jeritha Jethrow, his
• 10:30
  Speaker 2: father in law and priests of my dining. And he
• 10:34
  Speaker 2: led the flock to a fore size of the wilderness
• 10:36
  Speaker 2: came and came to her horrow the mountain of God.
• 10:42
  Speaker 2: There the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in
• 10:44
  Speaker 2: the flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw
• 10:48
  Speaker 2: that though the bush was on fire, it did not
• 10:52
  Speaker 2: burn up. So Moses thought, I would go over and
• 10:55
  Speaker 2: see the strange sight while the bush does not burn up.
• 10:59
  Speaker 2: When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look,

  Speaker 2: God said to him from within the bush Moses Moses,
• 11:08
  Speaker 2: and Moses said, here I am. Hebrews thirteen and eight
• 11:15
  Speaker 2: says Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Exodus

  Speaker 2: three thirteen and fifteen. Moses said to God, suppose I
• 11:28
  Speaker 2: go to Israelites and say to them, the God of
• 11:33
  Speaker 2: your father has sent me to you, And they asked
• 11:37
  Speaker 2: me what is his name? Then what shall I say
• 11:41
  Speaker 2: to them? God said to Moses, I am who I am.

  Speaker 2: This is what you are to say to the Israelites.

  Speaker 2: I am has sent me to you. Also said to Moses,
• 11:55
  Speaker 2: say to the Israelites, the Lord, the God of your father,
• 12:00
  Speaker 2: the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the
• 12:02
  Speaker 2: God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is
• 12:06
  Speaker 2: my name forever, the name you shall call me for
• 12:09
  Speaker 2: generations to generations in this in this scripture, it's significance
• 12:17
  Speaker 2: because God revealed his name as I Am who I
• 12:19
  Speaker 2: am Yahweh in Hebrew, and it expresses his eternal self
• 12:26
  Speaker 2: existence in nature. This is a fundamental concept in the
• 12:31
  Speaker 2: understanding of God and the Judah Christian tradition. So we're
• 12:37
  Speaker 2: gonna jump into We're gonna go ahead and jump into
• 12:40
  Speaker 2: the lesson first. I wanna go ahead and give you
• 12:42
  Speaker 2: a little backstory. So just imagine being being Moses, a
• 12:48
  Speaker 2: man who grew up in Egypt, fled for his life
• 12:52
  Speaker 2: and thought that his story was over. One day, while
• 12:55
  Speaker 2: tending the sheep in a quiet desert, Moses see a
• 12:59
  Speaker 2: bush that is on fire but isn't burning. A moment
• 13:02
  Speaker 2: that changes everything. God speaks to Moses, calling him to
• 13:07
  Speaker 2: a mission he can barely imagine. Nervous and unsure, Moses
• 13:13
  Speaker 2: acts for God's name. God answer, I am who I
• 13:17
  Speaker 2: am generations later, the writer of Hebrews reminds us, Jesus
• 13:22
  Speaker 2: Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever in the
• 13:28
  Speaker 2: world that is constantly changing, y'all, trends, friendship, even our
• 13:32
  Speaker 2: own emotion. God's identity is firm and foundation and we
• 13:37
  Speaker 2: can trust it is not changing. He is not defined
• 13:41
  Speaker 2: by what happens around us. He is simply he is.
• 13:46
  Speaker 2: He simply is eternal, unchanging, and antally involved in our lives.
• 13:54
  Speaker 2: God's identity is never changing. It is unchanging. When Moses
• 14:00
  Speaker 2: encountered God at the burning bush, y'all, he met God
• 14:05
  Speaker 2: whose name was I am, who I am, not I
• 14:08
  Speaker 2: was or I will be, but eternally present and consistent
• 14:13
  Speaker 2: throughout the Bible. God's character, his holiness, his mercy, his justice,
• 14:18
  Speaker 2: his love. It remains constant from Genesis to Revelations, even
• 14:23
  Speaker 2: when circumstance seeing chaotic, God's promises stands. So what he
• 14:31
  Speaker 2: said thousands of years ago still holds true today. Think
• 14:35
  Speaker 2: about it. The world around you is constantly changing, and
• 14:38
  Speaker 2: it's constantly shifting. People move, leaders change, trends come and go,
• 14:43
  Speaker 2: and sometimes our own feelings can even be trusted from
• 14:47
  Speaker 2: one day to the next. But God isn't like that.
• 14:50
  Speaker 2: When he makes a promise, y'all, he keeps it whatever is,
• 14:55
  Speaker 2: whatever it's providing for his people in the wilderness, or
• 14:59
  Speaker 2: sin in Jesus to the Messiah, sinning Jesus as a
• 15:02
  Speaker 2: messiah just as he foretold. And Hebrews thirteen and eight
• 15:07
  Speaker 2: underlying underlines this truth. Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today,
• 15:12
  Speaker 2: and forever. You can lay foundations on your life on
• 15:15
  Speaker 2: him and not worry about. He is ever there and
• 15:21
  Speaker 2: every season. God is unchanging, and he's a safe place
• 15:25
  Speaker 2: for you. So if you feel unsafe, if you feel uncomfortable,
• 15:28
  Speaker 2: he is where you need to be. So I challenge
• 15:31
  Speaker 2: you to give it to him today, give it to
• 15:35
  Speaker 2: him today, because I AM means God is always present.
• 15:39
  Speaker 2: I AM mean God is always present. God didn't just
• 15:44
  Speaker 2: introduce himself to Moses in the past ten as if
• 15:49
  Speaker 2: he was only relevant for the stories of the old. Instead,
• 15:53
  Speaker 2: he used a name that declares his active presence. I Am.

  Speaker 2: This means no matter where you are, let me say

  Speaker 2: that one more time. No matter where you are or

  Speaker 2: what you are facing, God is with you right now.

  Speaker 2: He is He is not far off watching from a distance.

  Speaker 2: He is involved in a tentative and caring in every

  Speaker 2: moment of your life. Doing jowful moments like celebrations and
• 16:25
  Speaker 2: winning games are good grades. God is there smiling with
• 16:29
  Speaker 2: you when things are tough, loneliness, stress, confusion, whatever, God
• 16:36
  Speaker 2: isn't absent. He says, I am with you. Psalms forty
• 16:40
  Speaker 2: six and one says God is the refuge and the strength,
• 16:44
  Speaker 2: in an ever present help in trouble. You never have
• 16:49
  Speaker 2: to look for him now. He's right there. He's not
• 16:53
  Speaker 2: far away, He's right by your side. He is every
• 16:56
  Speaker 2: step of the way again. He's yesterday, today, and all
• 17:01
  Speaker 2: of your tomorrows, all of your tomorrow's. Catch that all
• 17:06
  Speaker 2: of your tomorrows. God invites us into a relationship. He
• 17:12
  Speaker 2: wants a relationship with us. He wants us to spend
• 17:15
  Speaker 2: time with him. So God, who revealed himself as I am,
• 17:21
  Speaker 2: he does not want to remain a mystery or a
• 17:25
  Speaker 2: distant force in your life. Through Jesus, he made a
• 17:30
  Speaker 2: way for us to know him personally and intimately. Y'all,
• 17:34
  Speaker 2: Jesus came to this earth, he lived as one of us,
• 17:39
  Speaker 2: showed us the loving, approachable character of God. Because of
• 17:43
  Speaker 2: Jesus' sacrifice, you can approach God not just as a
• 17:48
  Speaker 2: powerful creator, but as a friend, a father, a savior. Y'all.
• 17:53
  Speaker 2: This invitation is not exclusive to Bible heroes like Moses,
• 17:59
  Speaker 2: is open to every person, every single person, including you.
• 18:05
  Speaker 2: God knows your name, he knows your struggle, he knows
• 18:08
  Speaker 2: your dreams, and he wants to walk with you, talk
• 18:11
  Speaker 2: with you, guide you, comfort you. Y'all. The relationship with
• 18:15
  Speaker 2: God offers. It's not one of just closeness, where you
• 18:20
  Speaker 2: can be fully known and deeply loved, as first John
• 18:25
  Speaker 2: four and sixteen says, God is love. Whoever lives in
• 18:31
  Speaker 2: love lives in God, and God is in them. His
• 18:36
  Speaker 2: steadfast identity means his love for you never fades. It
• 18:41
  Speaker 2: is always available, no matter what happens to no matter
• 18:47
  Speaker 2: what happens. And know that, y'all. God solid identity means
• 18:53
  Speaker 2: he's your steady anchor, unchanging, your constant companion, always present,
• 19:01
  Speaker 2: and your loving friend. Invites you into a relationship like
• 19:05
  Speaker 2: he wants you to talk to him. He wants you
• 19:07
  Speaker 2: to sit down and have that conversation with him, just
• 19:10
  Speaker 2: like I'm talking to y'all on this lie, Like he
• 19:13
  Speaker 2: wants you to be able to talk to him. Just
• 19:15
  Speaker 2: like that. Just like I'm talking to the lie, he
• 19:17
  Speaker 2: wants me to talk to him like that. And just
• 19:19
  Speaker 2: like you're sitting and receiving, he wants you to be
• 19:21
  Speaker 2: able to talk to him. You're probably talking back to
• 19:24
  Speaker 2: me and saying some things, and he wants you to
• 19:26
  Speaker 2: be able to talk to him, y'all. Just like we
• 19:28
  Speaker 2: sit down and talk to our moms, our dads, our sisters,
• 19:31
  Speaker 2: our brothers, our friends, our spouses, y'all. He want us
• 19:33
  Speaker 2: to have those soul in comvercizations with him. He's right there,
• 19:37
  Speaker 2: He's right there in the midst. All we got to
• 19:39
  Speaker 2: do is y'all. Invite him. Invite a man, Invite a man.

  Speaker 2: So this is what you do. This is how you
• 19:45
  Speaker 2: do it. This is how you do it. So you

  Speaker 2: start your day with I am. You set your morning routine.

  Speaker 2: Sometimes we need to have a we need to be intentional,

  Speaker 2: and when we need to be intentional, sometime we have
• 19:58
  Speaker 2: to develop a routine so that we can be intentional.

  Speaker 2: I know some people say, you don't want to get

  Speaker 2: in the habit of having a routine, But when you're

  Speaker 2: intentional about the things of God, maybe you need to
• 20:06
  Speaker 2: have a routine for that. You know, if you got

  Speaker 2: to have a routine for getting up in the morning,
• 20:11
  Speaker 2: you may not have one throughout the day, but if
• 20:13
  Speaker 2: you got to have one for your first in the morning,
• 20:15
  Speaker 2: your first inner actions, so that you can make sure
• 20:19
  Speaker 2: that you're in being intentional about those things that God
• 20:21
  Speaker 2: called you to and you're being intentional or bout spending
• 20:24
  Speaker 2: time with Him. So set a morning routine. Before you
• 20:28
  Speaker 2: reach reach for your phone or jump into your day, y'all, pause,
• 20:34
  Speaker 2: even if it's just for a moment. Take a deep breath,
• 20:37
  Speaker 2: and focus your mind on God's presence within you, y'all.

  Speaker 2: That thing that He's called you to, that thing that
• 20:44
